What is SAO?
If you’ve no prior knowledge regarding SAO then read below. If you know of SAO then feel free to skip to the next section.
On November 6th, 2022, Sword Art Online, developed by Akihiko Kayaba, went online for the first time. A brand new gaming experience for players, the first of it’s kind. SAO was a VRMMORPG. Virtual Reality Massively Multiplayer Role Playing Game. SAO was the first of it’s kind and moments after it’s official release all 10,000 released copies were sold out. Nearly as many players logged on that first day, only to soon find out that they were unable to log out.
Things swiftly began going down hill from there as players learned that death in game meant death in the real world, and to attempt removal of the NerveGear, the VR helmet for SAO, would also result in death. Players were faced with an impossible task. The only way to survive and be free of the game was to clear all 100 floors of Aincrad, defeat the final boss, and clear the game...only then would the players be freed.
Welcome to Sword Art Online: Tales of Aincrad. SOA:TOA is a semi detailed roleplay utilizing RPN’s hosted projects system. The roleplay’s plan is to go through all 100 floors of Aincrad with everyone contributing to the world to bring about the best roleplay experience we all can have.
SOA:TOA utilizes a rather simple mechanics system that makes sure everything is balanced and fair while bringing about the best experience. We utilize a party and quest system as well as a system devoted to the creation of player made quests and dungeons. The RP itself is semi-detailed to detailed and requires at least two paragraphs per post as well as a good firm grasp on grammatical skills.
So without further ado, those of you interested thus far on what you’ve read, I present you with...
