Likes/Dislikes:

Why they chose to join the Guild:

Relationships: family, friends, romantic

Residences: (This could be their home, as well as any businesses they own)

Frequented Places: (Bar, General Store, etc)

Name: Russell

Age: 27

Pronouns:
He/Him

Sexuality: Demisexual (perhaps more accurately, it takes awhile for him to notice any advances made on him)

Species: Human

Occupation/Role in Town: Head Librarian

Reputation: Most tend to see him as a kind hearted bookworm, who is particularly insightful about how to do almost any task. He is also known to be a bit of a pushover at times, eager to help others and rarely thinking of himself. However, he is also an engaged and devoted father for his adoptive daughter, though a few have questioned what would possess him to take on such a role when he is all alone. As such, some have branded him as a bit of an eccentric, though still reliable and fairly likable. He has a gentle disposition, and it is rare to ever see him angry or anxious. This also makes it seem that he is keeping a lot of his feelings to himself, which is not entirely untrue. If he draws attention, it is typically as the knowledgeable librarian, as a single father, or because he has managed to come up with a solution to some major problem.

Hobbies/Talents: He is well read, rumored to have read every book in the library. At the very least, he has a rudimentary knowledge of a wide number of topics. He is also somewhat proficient with a sword and magic. He is a decent cook and homemaker after several years of raising his daughter. He is also fond of puzzles and mysteries, as well as good stories.

Likes/Dislikes: He likes sweet and savory dishes, particularly steamed dishes like manju and dumplings. Any home cooking is particularly welcome, and he is fond of teas. He is fascinated by books, particularly ancient texts, but he is excited by any book he has not read yet. He does not particularly have any strong dislikes. He has a bit of an odd reaction if you give him milk or milk products. He is not a fan of bitter or burnt foods, or of random detritus, but for the most part he acts appreciative and will make a point to thank the gift giver as enthusiastically as he can.

Why they chose to join the Guild:
It is important to him that the town his adoptive daughter grows up in is a good one, and that she is happy, healthy and safe. Additionally, he feels compelled to do his part for his community, having the mentality that it “takes a village”.

Relationships:
Adoptive daughter Cecilia (Ceci)

Residences: Lives in an annex of the library building with Cecilia

Frequented Places: When not tasked with anything for the guild, he is almost always at the library. On his day off, he always plans an outing with Cecilia, which often leads into the woods, or mountains, or to the beach in the summertime. On occasion he will bring Cecilia to a local restaurant or to the bath house. He is very rarely out late at night, or out alone, unless it is required of him for a task.

Untitled320_20220820201256~2.png
Name: Elise Margaret

Age: 19

Pronouns: She/Her

Sexuality: Bisexual

Species: Human

Occupation/Role in Town: Owner and manager of Margaret Farm

Reputation: To those who don’t know her well, and even sometimes to those who do, she seems rather spoiled and out of touch with what it is like to work hard. She is proud of her farm insofar as it is a way for her to show off, despite doing very little work (or rather no work). This tends to come across as arrogance, since she merely supervises others and gives them orders. She has a sort of bossy attitude that many find unpleasant. That said, she is not a mean or abusive person. She is more naïve than anything else. Many people put up with her because of the huge financial backing her presence brings to the town. Elise has a lot to offer the town and she knows it, though unfortunately humility and actual farming knowledge are not among those qualities. Nevertheless, she means well and will often give away anything she does not need. She is particularly generous to those who are kind to her, softening up a bit in contrast to her usual attitude.

Hobbies/Talents: She is confident and has good leadership skills despite not always knowing what she is doing. Farming is her hobby, though all the farm work is done by her staff. She is good at money management and has an eye for art and fashion (which is created by someone else, of course).

Likes/Dislikes: She loves decadent desserts, particularly chocolates and cream puffs. She also appreciates the finer things in life such as gemstones or rare teas. She is also fairly impressed by good quality fruits, flowers or baked goods. She detests fish, bugs, and any sort of woodsy or rugged things. She is also not a fan of vegetables, or any dishes that include an ingredient she doesn’t like. She is also known to turn up her nose at things she considers to be low quality or common.

Why they chose to join the Guild: Although it appears to most that her involvement is a vanity project, and she often tasks her staff to do any of the hard work for her, Elise does enjoy helping others, and feels a sense of accomplishment when she is able to do so.

Relationships: Her parents and sister, all of whom live out of town. She lives with her staff, who consist of a butler, several maids, and a cook, as well as a few farm hands.

Residences: Lives in an outrageously large mansion with huge fields right outside. There are several barns and coops on the property as well. She also owns a pop up farm stand, though her produce tends to be high priced due to its quality.

Frequented Places: In the mornings, she relaxes at home, going out in the late morning to supervise her farm. She goes into town for lunch and to engage in gossip with the locals. When the mood strikes her she will go shopping, stop at the library, or take a stroll. In the evenings she usually returns to her farm and supervises some more before having dinner and going to bed. From time to time she visits other local farmers, or goes out to enjoy a night in town.

Name: Karina Summers

Age: 20

Pronouns: She/her

Sexuality: Bisexual

Species: Human

Occupation/Role in Town: A clerk chasing a pipe dream. Works at Elven Steel, a local blacksmith.

Reputation: One of the many local free spirits, and one who happened to pop into town out of nowhere at the age of 16. Where do we begin with Karina Summers? She's known for her non-committal approach to just about everything. Friends, work, hell even lifestyle. Every month or so, 50% of her passions change and she's always trying new things on the sidelines. An easy thing to assume is if the opportunities presented to her, whether it be a gig as a tour guide or as the town mascot, she'll do it. While she isn't one to start the chaos herself, she's got an uncanny ability to slip into being an accessory to whatever silly scenario you may imagine.

But another thing you may know her for is being the local sleeper. Either you walk into the blacksmith and she's sleeping, or she's almost asleep. It's somewhat of a miracle she's managed to keep her job as a store clerk for so long.. yet, strangely enough, always seems to wake up when someone's stealing. It's almost scary.

But if you think about it, a sleeping human is a quiet human. And maybe that's the reason why the blacksmith, Jake, held onto her for so long.

Hobbies/Talents: Guitar, it's one of the very few things she tends to upkeep, along with the distant dream of one day starting a band. Loves to idly strum away on either that or a Kalimba.

Likes/Dislikes:

-Music. She's open to just about any genre, but her favorite is jazz and experimental.

-She likes to collect what other people may consider strange. This can vary from weird art projects found at a flea market, interesting accessories or even the blacksmith cat.

-She dislikes summer but loves winter, which is an unfortunate irony.

-Gemstones. Any will do, even fake ones. Karina doesn't have a favorite just as long as it isn't diamond. She's always cycling through gem-related band names.

-Clingy people, which deeply contrasts her inability to keep in touch.

Relationships:
Karina is Jake's co-worker, roommate, and she often finds herself being his communicator as well. Their dynamic is mostly private, but on the outside it does seem like she's one of the few humans he can tolerate, and Jake is one of the few bosses she can tolerate. It helps that half the time Karina is in a completely different world, daydreaming her days away.

Jasper. A ginger semi-stray who always comes back at the blacksmith at sunset, especially during winter. The reason for the name is the multiple bald spots that streak across his body and give an appearance similar to the gemstone, which are sadly permanent. When Karina sleeps on the front desk, she's sometimes seen with Jasper curled onto her fluffy hair.

Residences: Jake's place, which is located on the second floor of the blacksmith, which is so close to his father's Inn that it shares a back alley and might as well be a giftshop to adventurers and the rare tourist.

Frequented Places: When she's not working, she can be seen in many places, sometimes passively existing with whatever chaos surrounds her. But places she goes to more than most tend to be..

-Benches. Preferably in parks, but a general rule is if there's a comfortable bench in town, Karina has slept on it more than once.

-Flea Markets. She checks every day for anything new.

-Inn. It's right next door and easier to walk to for food. She gets the soup of the day every time.

-Bathhouse. She may be lazy but she keeps up good hygiene.

Name: Calvin Westerson

Age: 25

Pronouns: He/Him

Sexuality: Yes Please (Bisexual)

Species: Human

Occupation/Role in Town: Singer/Archaeologist

Reputation: Calvin is sort of an…eccentric fellow. He would come through town every once and a while, talk to some of the locals, sing a few songs, and see if any digs were in the area. Calvin is generally seen as a bit of a…dandy. Not a bad guy, but flighty and noncommittal. He never really stayed around long enough to form any real connections, until now. He suddenly decided to settle down for a bit, get to know everyone, actually help around town. Why he suddenly decided to do this, no one knows, but he's shown himself to be much more responsible than his younger days.

Hobbies/Talents:

-Archaeology

-Mining

-Folk singing

-Playing the fiddle

Likes/Dislikes:

Likes:

-Coffee

-Apple Cider

-Anything spicy

-Studying minerals/archaeological finds

-Cooking

Dislikes:

-Bananas

-Pudding

-Bad cooking

Why they chose to join the Guild: In his own words, "Someone's gotta help this town out, might as well be me."

Relationships:

The only person Calvin really knows in town is Mikhail. Even then, it was never more than an acquaintance. They attended the same violin school when they were younger, though neither really seem to want to talk about it much. Besides that, he has tried to be friendly with anyone he meets, and maybe do some shameless flirting along the way. He ESPECIALLY enjoys messing with Jake.

Residences:

Calvin, being a real man's-man, has neglected to rent a house, and instead has set up a tent near the mine, alongside his trusty Volkswagen Buggy. When asked why he didn't just rent a house, he gives a different answer. One day it was because he was broke, another because he "liked being connected to his primal ancestors."

Frequented Places:

Bar, library, inn, blacksmith's (mostly to get on Jake's nerves)

Lydie Marlen
Lydie.png

Age: 18

Pronouns: She/her

Sexuality: ...? (She likes girls, though.)

Species: Human

Occupation/Role in Town: Practitioner of alchemy, an art that draws out the hidden properties of natural materials and objects to create new matter. She helps out those around town by providing food and medicine when needed. Repairing and forging tools and other equipment is part of the scope of alchemy as well; though she's not great at this aspect of it, she's working on it every day. Having completed the earlier stages of her training, Lydie was sent from her hometown of Merveille to see more of the world and hone her craft.

Reputation: Not too well-known, if this keeps up she'll seem like a weird hag who lives out in the forest. Having always been slightly slower to meet new people than her sister Suelle, Lydie has been focusing on her studies during her time at Saltspill Town so far. And those who are in need of her services (and who know of her) have to go a bit out of their way to seek her out.

Hobbies/Talents:
Even without the use of alchemy, Lydie is a talented cook. During her travels so far, she has also become skilled at identifying and cultivating plants, as well as handling animals of many types. The staff she carries enables her to channel light magic to create barriers and temporarily improve the capabilities of other creatures,on top of healing their injuries. Currently, she also carries an unloaded revolver around on her belt, though she doesn't seem to have much experience using it.

Likes:
Seeing people enjoy the results of her work
Gardening
Catching bugs

Dislikes:
Physical exertion
Getting sweaty

Why they chose to join the Guild: Back in Merveille, Lydie and Suelle were already used to working in a similar structure. Alchemy was always meant to be for the good of others, and receiving requests from the people of Saltspill is a natural path towards learning to improve her craft and use it to meet various needs.

Relationships:
Lydie was always close to her sister Suelle, and their father Roger, even if he often vacillated between being eccentric or being distant. On the day Lydie left, Suelle gave her one of her paired revolvers to keep her safe, and made her promise to bring it back. Both Lydie and Suelle studied under the alchemist Ilmeria, and it was her who sent Lydie out as the next part of her training.

Residences: Lydie usually camps out near the outskirts of Saltspill, using a tent that unfurls into a comfortable room enough for two people. Most of the space, however, is taken up by the various supplies and tools that make up an alchemist's atelier.

Frequented Places:
Most of Lydie's time in town is spent attending to requests made to the guild or resupplying from the various shops. She seems to cook for herself most of the time and rarely eats in town. However, she does visit the town library fairly often, and always after sunset. She also has a habit of collecting water from various locations both in and around the town. It seems alchemy uses a lot of it.

Name: Ann

Age: 23

Pronouns: She/Her

Sexuality: Bisexual

Species: Human

Occupation/Role in Town: Waitress/Hostess at the Junction Inn

Reputation: She is a friendly face who is good at making visitors feel at ease. Her genuine enthusiasm and cheerful attitude make her well suited for serving guests at her family inn, and her presence creates a very welcoming atmosphere. The townsfolk know her to be a bit tomboyish, never hesitating to get her hands dirty and get involved when others need her help. She also speaks her mind very easily, though she rarely has anything bad to say about others and it is clear she genuinely likes people. She also enjoys cooking and cleaning, so she ends up being the lynchpin of her family business in many ways. At the same time, others know her to have an adventurous spirit, and she is always getting involved where she can if it will help others.

Hobbies/Talents: She is a remarkably good cook, leaning everything from her inn keeper father. She also is skilled at cleaning and housekeeping. Outside her work, she also enjoys mechanics and tinkering with things, though she tries to keep this hobby somewhat secret so there's still a lot she has to learn. She also enjoys singing and playing the ocarina.

Likes/Dislikes: She loves food, especially good ol' home cooking. Anything homemade is very much appreciated by her. In contrast, she dislikes beauty products and ostensibly 'girly' things, mainly because she feels pressured if she receives them. She also prefers presents she can use or eat.

Why they chose to join the Guild: She wanted to help out the people of her hometown more actively. Working in the guild also serves as a side hustle of sorts, allowing her to get a break from working at the inn everyday.

Relationships: Her father Doug is her only family. Gray is a childhood friend of hers. Those who stay at the inn know her to various degrees of familiarity.

Residences: Lives and works at the Junction Inn, her family's inn that her father runs.

Frequented Places: When she is not working, she likes to hang around the machine shop. Other times she can be found running around doing errands for her father or the guild.

Name: Huang

Age: 26

Pronouns: He/Him

Sexuality: Money

Species: Human

Occupation/Role in Town: Salesman/Merchant

Reputation: He is viewed as a somewhat sketchy individual, though his goals are very straightforward. He is always looking to make money and can be somewhat frugal while trying to do so. He also offers a good deal to those who are friendly towards him, offering discounts on ever he sells or high prices for items he buys. However, he has a discerning eye, and trying to scam him is a quick way to get on his bad side. Rumor has it that someone once sold him some shoddy merchandise years ago and he still marks the price up when selling to them. It is certain that he is not quick to forgive or forget. He is a notably shrewd individual and is very good at convincing others to buy things. No one can figure out how to tell the difference between the special apples he sells though.

Hobbies/Talents: He is skilled at salesmanship and marketing. He is also good at finding bargains. His slight of hand skills are particularly notable, as demonstrated by his apple switching game. He enjoys a good gamble and is fairly lucky most of the time.

Likes/Dislikes: He very much enjoys luxury goods or expensive products, though it is hard to say if this is because he can resell these things easily. At the very least he seems to know a fair amount about cosmetics. He is also particularly fond of apples and oranges, as well as many orange flavored foods. He dislikes receiving pears, candles, and several other things that seem to have no particular meaning to anyone else in town but which he himself takes great offense to.

Why they chose to join the Guild: He finds that his involvement leads to potential profits though connections with those who may need his wares or services.

Relationships: None

Residences: Stays at the Junction Inn, sets up shop on an orange carton wherever it is convenient to do so.

Frequented Places: He is often seen going door to door, or setting up his stand wherever it suits him on that day. He stays at the inn at night.

Name: Soseki Sato

Age: 28

Pronouns: He/Him

Sexuality: Demisexual

Species: Human

Occupation/Role in Town: Animal Photographer/"Self-Defense Instructor

Reputation: Soseki, upon arriving in town, immediately set out, possibly not on purpose, to look as goofy and non threatening as humanly possible. When he isn't frolicking in the woods taking pictures of animals, he's usually chilling in Harvey's place getting VERY high. But he's not just a goofball. He's gone to great lengths to help the town, donating a good amount of money to it's rebuilding, as well as his own time. Outside that, he is very much a bit of an eccentric. A nice eccentric, but an eccentric nonetheless.

Pronouns:
He/Him

Sexuality: (keep hidden if you'd like to)
Heterosexual(?)

Species:
Human

Occupation/Role in Town:
Auto Mechanic

Reputation:
Gray’s reputation is…complicated. He’s a local through and through, never even left in his life. But he’s never really made any sort of impact to the town as a whole. He’s not an outcast. People respect him, he always gets work done on time, but he doesn’t really have many friends. Even when he’s out on the town, he can seem…rude? But not in the way Jake is rude. He’s more…passive. Less like he actively hates you, and more like he just feels uncomfortable around most people. It doesn’t help that he had…issues as a child. He was a bit of a delinquent, constantly getting into fights with other kids, failing in school, etc. He’s “straightened out,” but there will always be that cloud hanging over him, and you can almost see it, and as much as he tries to hide it, he can never run away from his past.

Hobbies/Talents:
-Anything to do with machines

-Sewing (Don’t bring it up, it’s embarrassing for him.)

-Botany (Again, he finds it embarrassing)

-Raising pets

Likes/Dislikes:
Likes:
-Popcorn

-Cats and dogs

Dislikes:
-Spicy foods

Why they chose to join the Guild:
Not many cars and tractors in town, mostly lawnmowers and bikes nowadays. He needs something to both fill in the time and keep the lights on.

Relationships: family, friends, romantic
Ann: Childhood best friend

Saibara: Maternal Grandfather
Father: Deceased

Residences:
A small room in the inn is where he usually sleeps, but he does own and work out of his grandfather’s old auto shop.

Frequented Places: (Bar, General Store, etc)
The Junction Inn, his auto shop, the general store, mainly for food and spare junk, the town junkyard, a lot of the old retail buildings

Name: Kai Sunder

Age: 23

Height: 5'2"

Pronouns: He/him

Sexuality: Bisexual

Species: Human... Unless?

Occupation: Journalist. Much of his work ends up in magazines, but due to the topics he likes to cover and his.. unique and inventive writing style of top 10 listicles and 'Which character are you?' quizzes, it can be quite difficult to make a living off of just that. Nobody wants to hire a journalist like him, but Kai doesn't change for anybody. When met with ridicule, he'll grin and say, ''trust me, I'm ahead of my time! Gyahaha!'
So whenever he's in Saltspill, he picks up all sorts of gigs that attract him. Whether it be as remote as a firewatch or as active as a manual laborer.

Reputation: A free spirited man who follows the summer. You may recognize him due to the fact he's been coming here for the past five years and taking any job that catches his eye. With a smile that could light up Saltspill and an upbeat attitude to follow, one could wonder what his secret is.. Well, lucky for you, it takes a single look at his articles to realize why. He has a burning passion for the supernatural and cryptids, and this town of bad luck is pretty much a vacation to Disneyland for the man. To aliens and bigfoot, he's spun so many rumors about Saltspill very easy to single handedly blame Kai for the tourist population who come solely for these kinds of things.

Hobbies: Anything that relates or helps his line of work. Writing, photography, making found footage film, he's tried to master it. The success.. well, that's up to you.
He loves exploring as well.

Likes:
-The strange. Bring him anything that looks weird and he's likely to fanboy.
-Breakfast foods, especially french toast. Bonus if they're sugary like a diabetics murder weapon.
-Diners. "How can I not? They're like homes all over!"
-Latest technology. Includes cameras, games and more.
-The ocean.

Dislikes:
-Fashion, ESPECIALLY fashion magazines.
-Shoes. He's a socks and flip flop/sandals kind of guy.. Can you see why fashion isn't his forte yet?
-Pineapple pizza.
-Hummingbirds. "They're like birds but bugs! It's a conspiracy, man!"
-Overly extravagant things.

Why did they chose to join the guild: If you haven't caught on by now, he's an experience-oriented guy. And what's a better opportunity to come across something supernatural than this?

Relationships:
-Seems to be close to Jake's dad, Egar. It's rare not to see them chatting up in Egar's inn.
-Whenever Kai gets himself into a situation, Karina somehow always manages to end up as a passive participant in it. Longtime regulars of the blacksmith may know how they used to be sweethearts, but retained their friendship when they became platonic.

Residences: Resides at Egar's Eagle Inn.

Frequented Places: Sticking his nose into some books at the library and bookstores of Saltspill. Sometimes found in markets holding up a line reading tabloid magazines until someone brings him back to reality.
As geeky as he is, he still loves to keep in shape at the gym or beach.
Anywhere in town that could look the least bit spooky.

name: abigail

age: twenty-one

pronouns: she/her

sexuality: pansexual

species: human

occupation/role in town: miner/adventurer

reputation: abi really is hard to ignore with her lavender hair and her trademark grin. she will strike a conversation in anyway she can. store, mine, bar, she will make the shyest person come out of their shell. she has a knack for turning an awkward situation into a light air-ed one, and if you go to her in confidence, she would die before betraying a friend's honor. its what make's her the best in the "business".

hobbies/talents: clarinet, mining, jewelry making, metalwork, gaming, some building

likes/dislikes:
- hot summers, being stuck in the house, cooking
+ flowers, gemstones, pie

why they chose to join the guild: the adventure. pure and simple. her parents always saw the life of a miner to be the worst one, but she saw a life of adrenaline and profit. she was determined to gain that life in whatever way possible, so she packed up and left for the guild with nothing but a sword, her cat, and a few games.

why they chose to join the guild: it seemed like a change from her traditional slow paced life. she wanted some hustle and bustle, a chance to grow this new business idea, a chance to survive on her own and make a name for herself. so far, she loves being on her own with her flowers and a camera but she misses her sister form time to time.

frequented places:

Name: Eli Thatcher

Age: 23

Height: 5'7"

Pronouns: She/her

Occupation: Nurse.

Reputation: The clinic's second busiest bee. There always seems to be something in her hands, whether it be tending to patients, the garden or the cleaning, she's got a lot of it handled. To her cute fashion choices and sweet persona, it's easy to underestimate her but she is a very capable person. Not much is known about her because she always focuses a conversation on the other person, but she nearly always has a sweet smile on her face. Showed up alongside her brother two years ago. Laughs at any cheesy joke and especially puns.

Hobbies:
-Exercising and encouraging others to as well.
-Cleaning. Always working inside the hospital, and sometimes that means just cleaning.
-Sewing. She has a good knack for it and always hums or sings while doing so.
-Gardening. When she's not cleaning she's working on the garden they have for the patients outside.
-Music. Likes to scout out local talents to play for the more permanent and long term patients of the hospital.

Likes:
-Spring. The flowers that blossom warms her heart after a harsh winter.
-Sports. Always encourages people to participate in them for the exercise.
-Strawberries, even the sickly sweet artificial taste. She's the rare third person who will actually eat the strawberry part in an neapolitan carton.
-Pastel colors, but especially baby blue.
-Elli Grass. Yes, it's because of the pun.
-Feminine clothing. She loves dresses and skirts, she just likes the aesthetic.
-Animals, even if they often want nothing to do with her. Leaves out food bowls for any strays.

Dislikes:
-Winter. It's too sad for her.
-Bad hygiene.
-Smoking, but not the smokers themselves.
-Otherwise, she's not very open about her dislikes. So in a way, you could say she dislikes sharing about her dislikes.
Makes a good smoking deterrent because she'll get real sad if you take them out in front of her.

Why did they chose to join the guild: She claims it's because it's a high risk job in a place with so much bad luck, that they'd need a couple doctors.

Relationships:
-Harvey, her half-brother.
-Soseki, often seen jogging with one another in morning and sunset along with his dog. They seem to be good exercise buddies.

Residences: Lives 6 minutes away from Harvey in her own apartment, floor level so she has her own garden.

Frequented Places:
-Hospital. It's where she works, after all!
-Library. Often picks up books her patients request. Although she takes them in great quantities, she has a clean record of always returning books on time. Also tends to donate a lot of magazines on housekeeping, gardening and music.

A secret

Species:

Occupation/Role in Town:
Doctor

Reputation:
Harvey and his sister Elli came into town not long ago, but already he’s made sure that no one will forget the Thatcher’s. Of his own volition, he opened up a clinic by the lake, and has poured his heart and soul into helping Saltspill out of it’s slump. How people view Harvey, however, depends on in what context you meet him.

While at the clinic, or generally working, he’s calm, confident, and a true professional. He does his job, and does it well. He doesn’t make small talk or mince words.

But outside the clinic, say at the general store, or maybe even at the fishing pond, Harvey is much more…shy? At the clinic he seems so cool, so sure of himself. But the second he takes his coat off, he’s awkward, prone to ramble, and a bit nervous, but not lacking in charisma. He has an…endearing honesty to him, even if maybe it’s not the best thing to do.

Name: Jake Kozlov

Age: 130 (But that's a lie. His actual age is 24, but only his father Egar knows of this.)

Height: 6'2"

Pronouns: He/Him

Occupation: Blacksmith

Species: Half-elf (Everyone thinks he's full elf)

Reputation: Jake is extremely cold, so frosty that entering any room causes it to drop below freezing. Being extremely stoic he very rarely shows emotions, but when he does it's usually anger or disgust. If you know him, you know his views on humans, whom he outwardly directs most of his aggressive-passivity. Due to this cold demeanor, most avoid him at all costs and very rarely can he be seen with anyone except his father or another elf from out of town visiting the inn. He seems to hate every moment he's out in public and shuts himself off at every opportunity.

Hobbies:
-Smithing and crafting.
-Cooking. You don't need to see it to know it–his blacksmith always smells like a restaurant.
-Weapon Training. Whether it be sword, bow, or even baseball bat, he's trained with it once before. He practices the weapons he makes in secluded places, and teaches customers how to use them for free. He claims it's because he doesn't want idiot humans to hurt themselves and blame him, but.. If that's the case, he takes a lot of lengths to make certain they're safe.

Likes:
-Chocolate and anything chocolate flavored. If you catch him eating it(which everyone has at his job at some point), he'll try to hide it.
-Animals, which he seems to respect regardless of size.
-Forging and crafting materials.
-Monster parts or carcasses, believes that if you're going to kill a monster, you should use every part of it. Seems to know a way to cook any monster delivered to him.
-Art. Many kinds, traditional, architecture, cinema, if he likes anything about humans, it's got to be their art..
-Soda mixed in with vodka.
-Winter. It makes the forge much more bearable.
-Flowers. It's unknown as to why.

Dislikes:
-Everyone who knows him has heard his claims of hating humans.
-Holidays. Doesn't understand those useless human festivities.
-Dramatic humans who show too much emotion which makes sense for a frosty guy like him.
-Cigarettes. "This is why you humans live short lives."
-People crying. Though this falls in line with above, this seems to be for some sort of different reason..
-Places populated with humans. Prefers secluded places.
-Selfishness. He resents it.
-Due to their ears, elves have very sensitive hearing and he's no different. Resents loud noises.

Why did they chose to join the guild: Won't get into why specifically, but one can theorize it may have to do with his business.

Relationships:
-Karina, his co-worker. They seem to have a casual yet distant relationship as acquaintances. Yet, it almost feels like there's something closer between them platonically.
-His father and business partner, Egar. Egar seems to be one of the few people Jake has an open respect toward and talks positively of.
-His father's pet and creatively named inn mascot 'Eagle'... who happens to be a parrot. Often flutters in through the open windows of the blacksmith to rest on top of a sleepy Karina's head. Egar will affectionately tell the story of how upon first recieving this pet, a young Jake came up with the name. If residents see Eagle, it's usually a sign the elf is somewhere nearby.
-The stray cat population. With donated monster carcasses from adventurers, he dices them up to serve as delicious cat food.

Residences:
His blacksmith shop, located close to Egar's Eagle Inn, his father's business. The two have a symbiotic relationship, the blacksmith shop helping the inn and vice versa.

Frequented Places:
-Egar's Eagle Inn. His father owns the place after all, but on some nights he occasionally be seen suspiciously moving between the inn and the blacksmith
-The bar. He can be seen there on early weekdays, as that's when it's the least populated.
-The forest, though he has several clearings he enjoys going to, occasionally also where he's seen practicing with his weapons
