- Personality
As far as intelectual characteristics go, Ryuda is up there. He is clever, a planner, logic and quite perceptive. He does have a tendency to overplan and to get violent in his anger when things don`t go as planned, though.
He has no problem deceiving people and has a prompt to be manipulative and secretive. He uses this a way of defense for himself, as he doesn`t trust people with ease, and has a lot of difficulty in relating to them or feeling sympathy. Hence, if you get close to him, he is likely to just "tell you like it is", as bad as it may sound, unless he needs you to act in a certain way.
This rudeness is also consequence of how, in spite of knowing how to pick his fights, Ryuda still gets in them pretty frequently, usually resulting in him getting beaten up.
Among strangers, Ryuda is a loose cannon of a person, with little to no care about what people think of him in regards of appearance of a loud mouth, and sometimes spills a secret here or there to mask his actual secretism. At these points, he`ll pretend to be nicer in hopes of getting people who`ll ally themselves with him.
Still, amongst those that do get really close to him, he is shy. He will try to back away from much, afraid of what might happen.
When afraid, Ryuda will start acting like a madman. He is a poor looser and worse if cornered. Nevertheless, being resourceful as he is, he does believe in things being lost until there is absolutely no chance of getting them back. This can cause a stroke of genius or a tendency for perseverance, but it may also trigger a surge of paranoia.
In fighting, Ryuda is quick-witted and provoking. He will usually try to understand anything before acting upon it and cherishes an ironic victory.
Ryuda is prone to taking everything upon himself with his idealistic and Napoleonic natures conflicting. Although he loves peace, especially in "Peace and quiet", he recognizes sacrifices must be made regardless of what you want to achieve.
The biggest soft spot in Ryuda is that, despite him trying to act mature, he can be quite childish at times, even a bit obedient towards someone whom he may relate to his late mother.
- Magic/Spells
Passing- His essence is mixed with that of an ancient legend, in this case, the greatest shapeshifter of his time, Zuenthigh. The combination of Ryuda`s DNA and Zuenthigh`s PNA allows him to gain a range of abilities as each strain is awakened.
There are seven stages, each unlocking at least 1 ability. The sixth needs to be awakened for him, though.
Stage 1-
*Host- allows him to host the spirit of a legend, increasing his physical capacities greatly and even creating a low generation factor.
Stage 2-
*Absorption/Shift-Passively makes him absorb properties from anything that comes near him. Anything in a raw magical form is especially vulnerable to this, although it is rather weak against non-magical things. He can cause this effect to overload, absorbing a much higher amount of power for a while, but then locking the ability for twice that amount of time, with an obvious maximum amount of time that depends on his current stage. Because he absorbs a certain percentage of power from everything, the more powerful the things around him are, the more he absorbs.
Actively he can use the absorbed power to create replicas of the power or the source of it, replacing parts of himself to do so. The extent and perfection of the replica depends on the amount he absorbed. Because even the environment around him is being absorbed, he can use this power as a form of camouflage.
*Scavenge- He can cause the essence of anything he kills or destroys to disintegrate, allowing him to use for healing and to store it as a source of the shift or for the forming of weapons. This power can also allow him to overdrive himself or his other powers further, using up his own health or absorbed powers to do it.
Stage 3-
Passing- Allows him to summon his passing, an armor or weapon formed through the spirit of an ancient legend.
Symbiosis/ Parasyte- These powers allow him to absorb the vitality of an opponent, by connecting directly with his essence. Symbiosis can be used on an ally or opponent and will lock their essence, preventing them from getting tired and increasing their power and physical traits. However, they will also loose sensitivity. Once the power is deactivated, the target will loose three times the energy he would normally have used to do what he did, and a third of that will be restored to Ryuda. To activate, he needs to point at the person while staring at them. Parasyte works passively, and absorbs health from an opponent with every successful hit (both from the opponent and from Ryuda), causing minor healing in Ryuda and wounds to open for the opponent on equal measure.
Stage 4-
Mirror- Creates a mirror in midair that can deflect any non-melee attacks it absorbs. Only lasts for a moment before breaking, though.
Stage 5-
Grand Replica-Passively allows the absorption of larger amounts of power to form a weapon that can be stored inside one of the spheres on his armor. Each weapon will grant him power while stored and have powers of it`s own while outside. He may even absorb other passings, if their owners are killed with them still on and he gets to them before they vanish, or if they are gifted to him by another host.
The ability can be triggered into a rampart, combining without limits all the power absorbed by it, which it still remains. For a few moments, all of that power will be usable without spending any, but Ryuda will be exhausted once those minutes are over. Without frequent use, he may even pass out.
Weapons:
Dracula- A hit from it will prevent the wound from closing for days. It also has the power to turn a minor enemy or an ally into a vampire, with all the side-effects.
Drania- Once per battle, he can heal all of his wounds by turning himself ablaze for a little while, before the fire disappears leaving a regenerated armor.
Ichitus- can seal one attack from an enemy within itself permanently, preventing further usage of that ability.
Greda-Poses a riddle to the enemy, with three options. If they guess the correct one, the shield dodges the attack. If not, the shield blocks a major part of the attack. (around 75%). Can be used thrice.
