Character: Iris "Peri" Periwinkle - Location: Beacon Courtyard - Interacting with: Nobody in particular.

It was the first day of the new school year at Beacon Academy and Peri could practically feel the tension hanging in the air, invisible but palpable.

Espically among the mass of freshly admitted students who were seemingly particularly charged with a mix of excitement and a sense of foreboding, as they prepared themselves for the years of hard work and perseverance that laid ahead.

As Peri stood in the middle of the courtyard, taking the chance to soak in the swirl of emotions around her, her mind danced back for a moment to her old home, and how these type of emotions had always been looked down upon there.

She couldn't help but let out an audible laugh as thought of how far she had come. Here she was, at Beacon Academy. A place where such emotions were embraced as a source of strength. Never again would she have to suppress such a primal, basic aspect of herself.

With a newfound determination, Peri stepped forward to join her fellow students.

“Let’s see…Clothes, check…Widow and Weaver, check…Spare lien, check. Yup. I think I’m good.” Emile thought to himself as he checked his bags. He would be lying to himself if he said he wasn’t nervous about going to this academy. This was probably the farthest he has ever been from his village, it honestly felt like just a moment ago he was just some kid who loved to tell stories, now he’s taking his first steps to become a huntsman. But now’s not the time to be sentimental. It was to take a step forward into a new life, one where he will tell new exciting stories that aren’t exaggerated.

As he entered the courtyard, he looked around at the student heading into Beacon. He looked up at the massive building with awe. “Alright. This is it.” Before he could do anything, his stomach grumbled. He checked the time on his watch. “I should probably eat something first. Can’t afford to have an empty stomach on the first day. I have some time to kill” He took out a totally not stolen apple and began to eat. He smirked as he looked at a sticky note from his mom which reads:

“Have a wonderful time at Beacon! Everyone at the village wishes you the best of luck!”
- Love, Mom

Emile put the note in his pocket and sat on a nearby bench. “Love you too, Ma.” He whispered to himself.

Beacon Academy - Academy Courtyard
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Noisy and crowded.
Itzal yawned as he made his way through the masses of students. The academy could only be accessed via airship, which was an interesting experience at least. The Faunus had never been exposed to such advanced tech before, let alone ridden on it. Certainly, even if such things were readily available in the parts of Vacuo he had moved through, there was no way he could afford it. Still, while one part of him was intrigued and curious, the other part of him was antsy the whole trip given one malfunction and the beacon of technology would basically turn into a giant metal tomb falling from the sky.
Obviously, though, the ship did not fall from the sky and Itzal was very much not dead. Hands in his pockets, he took some time to wander about, perusing the various places of the campus that he would be residing at. On the one hand, he thought it would be beneficial to semi-familiarize himself with the important places, like the cafeteria and dorms. On the other hand, he just didn't want to be stuck surrounded by all those people with bright smiles, excitement, and anticipation. It only served to make him more of a black sheep.
He was the odd one out here. Everyone else, presumably, wanted to become a Huntsman or whatever else Beacon could offer them in terms of a career and connections. However, the Vacuan native was only here as a stepping stone. It gave him food, a bed, and most importantly it was far enough away from Vacuo that old acquaintances couldn't track him down. Or, if they did, they were really determined.
Gods he hoped they weren't.
Eventually, however, he wound up right back where everyone else was. Looking around, it only served to alienate him further. Everyone so excited, and he was more or less using this as a hotel. It was the academy's fault, really. What kind of prestigious institution allowed people with no transcripts entry just for some passing some practical entrance exam. Did most people have absolutely no idea how to fight Grimm? That's all it was, really.
"When's this thing gonna start already..." He asked rhetorically with a yawn.
Claret Garnet - Beacon Academy Courtyard
With a heavy green container being carried in a gloved right hand and an assortment of bags and packs upon her back, a woman dressed nearly head to toe in Green walked into the compound, her footfalls carrying the cadence of marching boots with a click and clatter as she rolled her shoulders, greatcoat billowing in the breeze. Stepping past the campus gates the redhead pauses, looking at the sights around here, a lot of huntsmen to be, or huntsmen in training. She had yet to become a proper student here, but met the requirements.
It would be a shame, if not a disgrace to the Garnet clan to fail here. She would not, could not. "Hmm, well now, hello there! Beacon Academy, do treat me well."
The green grabbed military looking woman said with red head and green eyes studying of those about in the courtyard, there was still time before they all gathered in the Auditorium having some combat training from home, she was not as clueless as some of the rest. Still, times here would be rough she bet. But being a huntsmen was a lot less boring that being an Atlassian soldier. Even if she still dressed up as one. Overhearing a Faunus near her, she didn't care to have much of a talk with him laying about, but a little civility didn't hurt matters, as she pointed off to a large scenery clock in the distance. "30 Minutes." She said in passing, picking up her items once more she walks away, giving the cat man not a second thought as she headed towards the entrance of the next building and decided to let the time run out.
Alstro Edelweiss - Beacon Academy Courtyard
Interactions: Itzal ( EmperorsChosen EmperorsChosen )
...Rowdy. It was really rowdy. Alstro didn't need to look at the crowd, there was no point in that, he could tell from the tingling underneath his skin. Excitement, glee, envy, annoyance, boredom, it all mixed together into a swirl that twisted his insides like always. At least nobody here really knew him, that made things a lot easier and the sensation not as intense. It was definitely much better than the social events back at home, there was a sense of hopefulness around, an inkling of rather unadulterated happiness that lingers in the air, that was a rare thing there.
In many ways, Alstro was unsure of the whole huntsman ordeal, he had assumed that he won't run into the same problems here in Beacon has he did in Atlas, but the fact that he pulled his hood up to hide the perking plumage in his hair shows that he might still think otherwise deep down. It's not like faunus were treated that badly in Vale, but Alstro has always found that he would still experience a slightly tingling sensation on his skin whenever he exposed his traits in public. There was another faunus student nearby. It must be lucky to not be able to feel it. Alstro thought quietly, many people never really act upon their feelings due to a variety of reasons, so they were kept hidden from public eye. It was a shame that he could feel them nonetheless.
But there was another reason why the other faunus student caught his attention, he had arather unique air to him. He lacks that feeling of hopefulness or aspiration that was all too common in the student body, it was distinct enough to be felt. Alstro would put him into the "annoyed" category, but it felt a bit more complex than that......His semblance was honestly pretty useless when the feelings got too esoteric.
"Yes. Around what she said." Another student, a girl with reddish hair came over to comment on the cat faunus student's rather half-hearted question. Alstro looked at him quietly for a few moments.
"...You're not very excited to be here." It wasn't phrased like a question, it was phrased more like a factual observation.
"Hmm...You are rather irked by the atmosphere here, perhaps even more so than me. You are feeling outcasted because of...hmm, something, I'm not sure......But ultimately you aren't exactly unhappy to be here......Oh. Oh bother. I suppose you already knew all of that already, I may have spoken out of turn. Sorry." Both the analysis and apology were spoken in a neutral, even deadpanned tone, it came off as one muttering to themselves rather than an attempt at starting a conversation.
"It's just that you were...'standing out', I suppose." He added, even though the guy in front of him really didn't do anything yet.
NEAL BLUES
NealPic.pngLocation: Beacon Academy Courtyard
The ride to Beacon had been smooth, giving Neal ample time to double check her belongings, making sure she had everything, from spare Dust to tools. Oh, and clothes too, she supposed. It wasn’t the first time she rode on an airship but with the amount of people on board, the experience was, as she had expected, less than pleasant. Neal wasn’t exactly a people person and a few seconds of interaction with her would make this fact obvious, but she knew deep down that being a loner at Beacon would do nothing to help her.
Finally getting off the airship once it arrived at destination, Neal instinctively pulled on the cuffs on her gloves -a nervous tick of hers. At first glance, and probably at second and third glances, the gloves the blonde always wore seemed like simple accessories but they were in fact the weapons she used to fight. Of course, she didn’t expect to randomly fight anyone but reminding herself that she’d at least be ready in case something happened always made her feel somewhat better. With the creatures of Grimm being more dangerous and aggressive than ever, it wasn’t rare to hear stories of Grimm suddenly attacking unprepared people.
On the upside, however, it was in a way satisfying to see so many different people, human and faunus alike, walking in the courtyard. Atlas seemed much more boring in comparison, judging from her parents' stories. Through her Semblance’s lens, it was almost mesmerizing to see so many differently-colored auras all around her, serving as proof that everyone present was much more capable than the average citizen.
The volume of noise the swarm of new students was generating with idle chatting alone was enough to make her pinch the bridge of her nose in slight annoyance. The downside of going to Beacon Academy was the noise. If not chatting or professors spewing knowledge at everyone’s faces, it would be the sounds of fighting. Buuut again, better get used to that soon if she wanted to be able to fight Grimm reliably.
A trio of students nearby had already started a conversation -if it would be called a conversation. Three people were too many right away. She glanced away, noticing a few other people close-by. There was a girl Neal’s Energy Radar registered as a periwinkle-colored aura who… started laughing to herself. Nope, too high difficulty for now.
The sight of the guy with the forest green aura nearby gave her some hope. He wasn’t noisy; might be a good start. Not to mention that he was onto something there. Neal had forgotten to eat breakfast earlier (as she did most of the time) so she swiftly produced a granola bar from the pouch at her waist. One never knew when they might need a quick snack!
“Yikes, good call, forgot to eat this morning…”, Neal spoke up to the dark-skinned boy, opening up her bar’s wrapper. “Oh, uh, sorry to interrupt your reading, Forest, don’t mind me.”, she quickly added. Yep, that was going well.
Anubis Rhys
Beacon Academy
Interactions: Open
As the sun rose to start a new day, Anubis greeted the celestial body in a one handed handstand with his eyes closed and focused on keeping himself balanced. “Peace” he mumbled, holding himself steady on his one hand whilst balancing on the edge off the roof “serenity” he said, switching hands rapidly but quickly balancing himself. “Balan…” he started but was interrupted but the loud slamming of the roof door “AAAANNUUUUUUBIIISSSS” a shrill voice all but screamed, interrupting the boy’s focus and causing him to fall backwards onto the rooftop with a yelp. He craned his head to let his golden eyes bear down on the person who had interrupted his concentration “please scream at the top of your lungs” he narrowed his eyes “I wasn’t concentrating or anything” he groaned in annoyance, rubbing his sore back from where he had fell. The girl giggled and ran over to help him up “I’m sorry Bis” he dusted off his black shirt “I was just excited to give you this” the girl stated, pulling a black bag from behind her back that had the engraving of balanced scales on the front. Anubis looked at the girl In a rare expression…confusion. “What’s this Sammy?” He asked pointing at the bag to which the girl simply giggled and shoved the bag into his hands “a congratulations for getting into Beacon” she giggled again “made with the finest and lightest material I could find” she tapped the bag with her finger, the glitter on her fingernails flashing dangerously “well don’t just stand there you big lump” she huffed “put it on” she exclaimed, pointing to the bag. Anubis opened the bag and had to stop himself from smiling as he pulled a rather large jacket out of it and threw it on. It was a large black puffer jacket with a red inside and trim, his emblem of perfectly balanced scales embroidered on the back in purple and grey “I don’t know what to say” he mumbled, rubbing his hand over the jacket. “Don’t say anything” the girl said with a bright smile “just while you are off being a hunter, no one can work on Jackal’s Embrace other than me” she said, her voice dropping slightly whilst she narrowed his eyes at the boy “no one” she repeated and Anubis nodded sheepishly, avoiding her gaze “yes ma’am” he said and couldn’t help but to crack a small smile “now get going” she said tapping him on the forehead “don’t wanna be late on your first day” she smiled and walked to the door but turned back at the last moment “we are proud of ya kid” the woman beamed before walking back into the building.
Anubis walked into the building and was greeted by another woman, only this time it was a short old lady with a cane and a toothy grin. “You’re up early” Anubis said has he walked next to the woman “not everyday your adoptive son goes off to become a hunter” she smiled patting him on the arm as they walked “I want you to know, I’m proud of you.” She paused and held his hands, stopping the boy in his tracks “and I know your parents are proud too” she said softly, her grey eyes peering up to his golden orbs. Anubis sighed “if they were, they’d be here” he said stoically “but they aren’t, you are” he gave her another one of his rare smiles and hugged her tightly “Thank you Ms.Jackl Thank you for everything” he spoke while letting her go “of course dear, and call me Dora” she beamed “you’re a man now” she smiled and continued down the hall
Anubis clicked the strap to Jackal’s Embrace on his pants and slid the weapon into the loop that held it in place. He walked out of the apartment and breathed in the morning air before he headed to his first day at Beacon. When he arrived the campus was buzzing, veteran students returning to continue their studies, teachers racing to greet students, and first year students who were all looking for where they were supposed to go “hello Beacon academy” he said quietly while taking in the sights around him, dodging a few people who ran past him in a hurry “this is will be..” he paused and simply looked at the school “interesting” he shrugged and continued forward, nodding at some kids he knew as he passed by.
Teel Finback. Beacon Courtyard. No interactions.
Screenshot 2023-07-25 064316.png
The clean air filled Teel's lungs as he stepped forward onto artisanal stone pathways; a nice change from Vales urban stagnancy. It early-summer breeze felt good on his gills. He could go without the scent of the crowd though. He could smell the blood of all of the different humans and Faunus-in a totally not creepy way. His semblance forced that upon him. Many of them smelled of heightened emotional states. In Teel himself, a mixture of emotions swirled. Up front were elation, anticipation and sheer awe as he looked upon Beacon's high gothic spires. But there was also fear. With every step, he grew closer to the adventure he so desired; and that filled him with pride. It also filled him with dread, that he was marching towards his own death. This was the path he had chosen, and as he passed by the red crossed-axe banners he felt the weight of it. He steeled himself. He was ready. As ready as he'd ever be.
Fellow students milled about, all making their way towards the training arena. Teel followed the flow of the crowd. He subconsciously walked along the outside edge of the crowd, like a shark scoping out a school of fish. He passed by a number of talking students before making his way to the training arena, where the crowd grew thick. He made his way around the edge to a good vantage point.
"Entrance ceremony should be here."
He looked around at the sparsely decorated coliseum. "Not ones for flare, I guess." By now, his feelings of dread had subsided. He eagerly anticipated the headmasters address.
Flora.png
1690295113363.png
Flora had finally made it. She was here just like all the other students who were ready to become Huntsmen and Huntresses. This is very exciting. Thought the faunus as she held a bag in her hands as she looked out the window of the flying airship. Granted, it felt super weird riding in a floating vehicle, but it also gave her the butterflies. Though not sure if it was from possibly becoming sick or just pure excitement. Other students around her were talking to one another, expressing their excitement, dreams, and more. Where as Flora herself remained fairly quiet, keeping to herself and not so sure how to butt her way into a conversation that would best interest her to join in. It didn't take long before the airship finally docked and she moved quickly to get off the vehicle. The moment her foot touched land, she felt relieved to have some solid ground underneath her "Never thought I'd take the ground for granted. I appreciate it far more now." Flora muttered to herself, looking at all the various students in their glory of shapes, sizes, and even colors.
There were so many ahead of her, but she knew slow and steady won the race! There was no rush, not when there was time left to burn at least a little bit. Golden eyes shifted around the courtyard, some standing in place, some in little groups already, and most just running towards the building without examining their surroundings. However she did notice a female who looked oddly like a soldier with the hat and trenchcoat, definitely stood out in the more unique sense. Is she a young soldier who joined Beacon? No...Soldiers don't wear that attire now adays I don't think... Maybe she had fallen out of the loop when it came to the new fashion these days. ( RedArmyShogun RedArmyShogun ) Looking down at her own attire, she noticed that she would probably stand out as well. By no means was she royalty and she had hoped that no one thought that. That would be very embarrassing if that was the case. Though knowing herself, she was far from princess etiquette and would show that over the course of time.
Lifting her hand to reach behind her back, she felt her blade still within it's sheath and of course the fan secured across her body. Never hurt to double check her gear and to make sure she had everything that was needed. The Faunus continued her walk forward, passing many along the way and giving them warm smiles in greeting. Even going as far as waving to a few people here and there. There's so many students...I doubt I'd be able to meet all of them by the end of the school year. Most I'd remember is probably their class. A small giggle left her lips It's better than not remembering them at all I suppose. Would it be wrong to want to walk with someone to auditorium? Going by yourself wasn't the worst thing in the world, but wouldn't it be a good idea to at least make a friend?
Pondering for a moment, those golden eyes of hers had looked around once again in search for the person that would be a buddy (Or even a temporary buddy) to hang around with. She found a pair of two, one with obvious features that he too was a faunus, along with someone in white right next to him ( EmperorsChosen EmperorsChosen Cresion Breezes Cresion Breezes ) and thought that maybe she shouldn't bother them too much. Next set of people there was a blonde and a dark-haired male eating snacks apparently ( Tiguidi Tiguidi JuniperBoi JuniperBoi ) and even some stragglers though they had already gone ahead and she wouldn't catch up unless she ran. Though there was one that seemed to be closer, something about him seemed... Dim? Grim? No pun intended of course. He was definitely interacting with others, though not on a personal level. The faunus switched hands of where her bag should be and she moved quickly up next to the man and spoke gently "Good Morning." Flora said with a warm smile, looking up at him "Hope you don't mind me tagging along with you. There's just so many people that I'm a bit overwhelmed. I'm Flora, by the way." D. Seto
In Beacon Academy Court Yard
IMG_1025.jpeg
Walking up to the academy grounds along with a lot of other students. Thinking about what he was told before coming here. Just relax and enjoy your time at the academy. It will be safe there and you can just be another kid there.
Taking in a deep breath then letting all the air out. Seto stepped out of the airship carrying two large bags with him one on each of his shoulders that seem to be giving him a bit of trouble with seeing him as he made his way through the crowd of the other new arrivals. Repeating the words in his head. Mentally pumping his fist in the air as he walked through the entrance. Still feeling annoyed at having to be here.
Feeling like he should just go with what has been asked of him. Taking a good look around to try to learn more about the place. “What an impressive place they have here.” Seto saw a couple of interesting individuals in the plaza he considers going over to talk to one of them but then changes his after he realized he couldn't talk about what he usually would.
Making it a good distance past the gates and into the plaza, he places his bags down making a loud thud as it hits the ground. Decided to just start by motivating himself. Talking aloud a bit not caring who hears.“Alright, let's make it to the end. Might as well try to enjoy the time here.” After saying it to himself he picks up his bags and continues forward.
Beacon Academy - Academy Courtyard
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hearing a voice come from his flank, Itzal's body swerved slightly to match the voice to a mouth as the body it belonged to passed him by. A thoughtful expression adorned his face as his eyes widened slightly and the ears atop his head naturally perked, admiring the figure as it strutted ahead of him. Rather tall, about his height, fit from what he could see and with a fair bit of curves. Even if he wasn't perusing for a partner, he was still a man, and he could still acknowledge a pleasing aesthetic even if they person didn't seem to want anything to do with him.

Nonetheless, he turned his eyes over to the clocktower as prompted and stared at it with this newfound information. "...Huh..."

Why was it so damn long? More importantly, how did he of all people manage to get here early.

However, the hot girl wasn't the only one to approach him as another voice spoke soon after. Turning, it seemed to be another Faunus, at first speaking rather normally in commenting on his demeanor. However, then the observations veered eerily into fortune teller and scammer territory. 'Oh, great, it's one of these... What're they gonna try to sell me...'

"What, me?" Itzal replied with exaggeratedly surprised tone, his blank face instantly turning to a smile. "Noooo, I'm ecstatic to be here! Just uh... y'know, wanting to get the show on the road."

It probably wasn't a good idea to admit that he didn't actually give a damn about becoming a Huntsman and was just here to lay low.

"So, you always walk up to good-looking Faunus talking about their chakras or... whatever else you're basing those observations on or...?" He asked, more so in a witty manner than an aggressive one.

download20230705072803.pngIt's a brand new day in Remnant, but rather mundane for the Grimm hunting academy of Beacon. New students for the longline of generation of Hunters of Grimm.

One flocking out from the wave of newcomers was a young girl. Golden locks of hair flowing downward to her elbows, although it suffers from split ends even to the fringed bangs. Eyes blue like the sun in midday noon, large round dark eyeglasses well-maintained and polished to clear. A few bandages taped all around her face and hands. Skin as soft as a marshmallow. A black headband clamped to her hair. In her hand is a large violet travel bag with a sticker of a pumpkin Pete face and red hearts. In her back is a rectangular backpack, shaded in the hue of bright red, poking overhead is a long staff with a gold ring at the tip.

"Wow, Beacon is so cool!" Her eyes sparkle like glitter to the towering structure all around. She looks back into a piece of paper on what appears to be a pamphlet in hand. It shows Beacon Academy in a much more cinematic shot. Before the wind blew it away from her fingers, into a conveniently placed trashcan. The girl had already been given strange looks by potential schoolmates. With a mix of indifferent or other neutral expressions, the golden-haired kid waltz through the busy flow. The packs of students gave weight to her lungs, taking bigger breaths.

"I hope I-i'm not late..." No wristwatch on her arm but intuition did serve her correctly that she'd arrive perhaps sooner than expected.

"We've made it, Destiny. I hope." Looking over her shoulder where the staff is in its dormant state. She smiles softly before her eyes diverted to her backpack. "That reminds me! Did I forget anything?" Now awkwardly wriggling her back where the backpack slid to her front, at the end of it. She is hugging both bags and her weapon in her arms. With all the students pacing around, she has poor visibility upfront as taller students obscure the path ahead. As a result, she tripped over another random student's travel bag, towards a pair of students. who were in counterflow of her path. She drops her red backpack in front of the two, as her knees meet the hard floor.

"Ugh... Oh no! I'm s-sorry! I-I-I didn't mean to--!" The contents of her backpack spilled. Most were within her scooping reach except for perhaps a few items. An outdated handheld gaming console that slid into the shoes of the rather silent boy, luckily it wasn't damaged despite the empty battery cover being opened from the crash, another item befell on the doe Faunus's shoes what appears to be an eyeglasses case with cursive writing on its lid purple lid, "Tiffany" was the name etched in it. The girl is still stuttering her words as she makes panic to gather her notebooks, pens, and a few unidentifiable books.

Do no harm the creed of the ethical doctor that was not something anyone might expect a hunter abide by, but Myst had so far made it rather far without being one to hurt others. Though did grimm count towards doing harm? Most would say no, and even Myst herself agreed, but to have one so disinclined towards harming things became someone that did that first living surprised many. With the power of aura few huntsmen truly needed medical experience let alone someone whose expertise lay on that field. This odd mindset was not the only thing that made myst stand out, upon her back was a massive shield unlike so many that had smaller trick weapons the near sold hunk of metal was Cleary neither fast nor made to attack. It was purely for defense something few hunters cared for trusting their aura to defend them while they focused on attacking. Then there was how Myst dressed. Rather than normal street clothes of Vale she was dressed in a blue kimono with flower prints. This was because the kimono was a dress for special occasions and this seemed as soecial as any other soecial occasion.

Alstro Edelweiss - Beacon Academy Courtyard
Interactions: Itzal ( EmperorsChosen EmperorsChosen )

The student in front of him seems to feel...offended? Defensive? Or the likes of that. Alstro took a half step back, his expression still rather deadpanned but eyes slightly narrowing as if he was in pain. It wasn't pleasant at least, perhaps Alstro should have known better than to speak his mind. Maybe Vale wasn't that much different from Atlas after all.

"......I don't understand." Alstro averted the other's gaze with a slight head tilt, his confusion was genuine. "......Why are you pretending to be excited? We're not evaluated based on the enthusiasm we show for the school's programs. And even if we were, I am not going to be evaluating you in any way, so it's rather confusing that you would put so much effort into putting on such a facade for a stranger like me. I get you don't trust me or something like that, but I don't know what you expect me to do to you either..."

Although in a few moments, the feeling wore off. It seemed like the other student was only temporarily startled rather than really hosting any sort of hostility towards a stranger he just met. It was kind of awkward that he seems to genuinely believe that he was good-looking though, maybe that was why he acted so defensively and repressed.

"It's my...semblance. I can feel the emotions of others, I can't really turn it off or anything, so I end up receiving the baggage of other people sometimes, especially in crowds like this." Alstro added calmly, he figured that if everyone was huntsmen here, it wouldn't be too unusual to talk about what their semblances did eventually. "And I already said that you were standing out, at least from my perspective. I think it's because you're more...miserable...apathetic, or something, than everyone else here, that's all." He added blankly, looking back at the cat faunus student again while staring drearily for a bit.

Anubis turned his attention to the girl who had started speaking to him, her eyes were just as golden as his…maybe even more so. he gulped instinctively before responding “Anubis” he said simply with a small nod “I don’t like crowds either” his voice was almost monotonous, a single deep note resonating as he agreed with the girl. He preferred to be alone but in actuality the girl was probably just as nervous as he was even though he did his best not to show it “Flora? That’s a beautiful na…” he stopped when a blonde haired girl dropped her belongings in-front of them and scrambled to the ground to pick it up while apologizing profusely. He sighed before bending down and picking up a few notebooks “it’s ok, take a breath” he said quietly, barely above a whisper while reaching out to grab the gaming system and a few books from the ground “this is cool” he said quietly, inspecting the little gadget before handing it back to her.

He reached over near Flora’s feet and grabbed the purple case, scanning over it quickly he stands up fully to hand her items back to the clumsy girl “Tiffany?” He asked reading the eye glasses case “you should be more careful, and aware of your surroundings” he offered his free hand to help her up as his face softened from its stoic appearance to the smallest of smiles.

Anubis knew he couldn’t spend his Beacon career being alone, he would get a team at some point and would have to trust them with his life. What he didn’t expect however was interactions with other students before he could even get fully in the school and Anubis has always been the type of person who has to mentally prepare to talk to anyone outside his comfort zone. He knew this school would push him away from the tiny corner of solitude he was accustomed to, he would need to make friends, develop alliances, and train with a team he needed to trust his life with. Needless to say, his heart was practically beating of his chest and it took all his mental willpower to not show the panic on his face at being surrounded by so many different people

Although, he was curious why she was approaching him of all people. He looked around the courtyard to see people already forming little groups. His best guess is that she didn’t want be alone or something. Which was understandable. Being in a new environment is rather scary when you are surrounded by strangers. Before he could say anything the girl spoke up as she took out a granola bar.

“Yikes, good call, forgot to eat this morning…”

Emile just nodded in response. He didn’t necessarily know what to say to a stranger. If it were someone from the village then he would easily engage in a conversation, but he had little to no experience with people outside of the village. Sooner or later he had to speak up. The girl quickly spoke up yet again to break the small moment of silence.
“Oh, uh, sorry to interrupt your reading, Forest, don’t mind me.”

That sentence almost made him choke on his apple. “How the hell does this girl already know my name? Is she a cop or something?”As much as he felt like prying into her and asking her questions, he didn’t want to make a bad first impression. He swallowed the piece of apple he briefly choked on and cleared his throat before speaking up. “It’s okay. I’m Emile by the way. Next time, try not to call out other by their last name, got it Purp?”

He thought that it would be a little funny to call someone by the color of their outfit in retaliation of being “nicknamed” by his last name, which also happened to be his favorite color. So it only seem fair to poke fun at then as well.

Octavius "Oct" Halbervi
Location: Beacon Courtyard

"30 minutes... tick, tock... counting down the dusty clock. Yet a clock can only tick to clock at a rhythm of 3600 times before the hours. So only 1800 times can it tick before its time to clock," the whispy voice sang for a moment before turning to one of studious note. The male spoke going over numerous findings upon his notes that he had started since he had decided to begin his trials of huntsmanship. The climb up to this point had been intriguing with numerous training courses, the establishment of weaponry, the accumulation of fighting style, the playful interaction of science and error with dust... Within a year of action upon decision, Oct had been allowed to experience the world further beyond the walls of his mining home the stimulation had been wonderous to the odds of theories, and speculations from his wildest dreams. The real reality of the world was exhilarating in all its darkness, and dredge that one would never know beyond the wave of only knowing the battles they heard about rather than experience.

Yet apparently he halted next to a rather well-armored girl with a beret... in turn, it seem his comment was in fact in reaction to her own words in passing, and he himself happened to have gone the same direction. Closing his book the rather steampunk-attired boy turned sleepy yet strangely vigilante eyes to the girl as he pocket the realm of thought away for now. He hadn't the need of a once over of the fellow hunter in the works. As upon his walk with her, he had already gathered much about her from her stride to her gear. In his own affirmation of belongings, a sandy brown camping bag was held to his back along with a few small satchels around his waist carrying who knows what along with a few pocket satchels laced along his arms, and legs. His forearms wore bracers much like a falconer, or a blacksmith, his eyepatch was adorned with copper gear over his right eye, but most notable without a doubt was the strangely designed copper pickaxe between him and his camping bag with the blades alongside his shoulder blade, much like Clarets own notable green container. From his own form of regulated theory, there was only one way to approach this new person.

"Octavius "Oct" Halbervi it's a pleasure to meet a future fellow hunter, may I be obliged to your acquaintance," he formally asked Claret with respect though sleepy tone as he took a more proper pose for a moment holding his hand out softly yet firm ready to receive any form of acceptance from the soldier like female. Of course, there were numerous others he could have started his first out-of-home interaction with, but many were clearly formulating in other interactions or seemed lost in their own thoughts interrupting such would have been rude. Yet this burning red-haired girl was solemn in their environment, but not reclusive as seen with their minor interaction with the feline faunus boy she had given an answer to.

It took a bit to find the place but Delphy had finally found it; the training grounds. Upon entering she made her way to the next level up with the rows of seats available there as well so that she could get a good look at the training area. Though much to her dismay, no one was sparring at the moment and instead all the students were waiting around for the assembly to start. At first she frowned at this realization, but then made herself feel better by telling herself that it was probably because no one wanted to give away their fighting styles so soon instead of seeing it as disrespectful to use the stage for sparring when the ceremony is supposed to be starting soon.

To pass the time, Delphy decided to people watch and potentially meet some new people. One of the things that Delphy was most excited about with enrolling at the academy was that hardly anyone knew her background so she was able to to start a new like some many others that were starting school there. Sure, some Humans might still give her a hard time, but at least she had a better chance making friends here with Faunus than kind of luck she had back home. With this in mind, she decided to play it safe by speaking to a fellow Faunus. And it didn't take long before her reptile-like eyes landed on a certain shark Faunus seeming to circle around the edge training grounds.

When he paused from walking anymore she was now looking down directly at the boy from the second level as she noticed he was muttering to himself. Curious as to what he was saying, Delphy climbed around the edge and hung upside from the banister to hear him better which was when she able to hear him mention that the place didn't have much of a flare to it. She chuckled at this as she spoke up, "it is surprising considering it's such a reputable school." To get a better look at the finned Faunus, Delphy twisted her body in an unnatural way while upside down that made her seem almost disturbing despite her gregarious tone.

"Who knows, maybe they are having budget cuts... or just got rid of crime scene evidence," the lilac-haired girl added before curling around a banner with ease and slid down it to approach him formally. "I'm Delphyne Hemlock, but you may address me as Delphy. And who might you be?" She asked cooly.

D. Seto
In Beacon Academy Court Yard

IMG_1025.jpeg
Walking around the academy getting the layout of the places he is allowed to wander around.Before finally getting back to the plaza with his bags still with him. As he thinks about how this place will help him get better one way or another so he can go back home.

Coming to a locker room Seto was able to finally rest from carrying his bags. After taking a bit of effort to fit everything in it. He gave himself a pat on the back for a job well done. Before deciding to use the rest of the time left to roam around until the meeting. Eagerly awaiting whatever was to happen at it with a small smile on his face.

After returning to the main plaza there are even more colorful people around. Well, this place won't lack entertainment with these types of people around. Laughing to himself a little bit. One person stands out in particular. A girl in a blue dress is what he wants to say but he has never seen anything like it in all his time in the family business. It suited her very well considering what everyone else was wearing Looking at it made him take a look at his wear. Thinking about it there might have been some unique partners that had something like it on but he never paid enough attention to that stuff. Seeing it he could not help but let out a question about it.
”Mind me asking you about your nice looking outfit there. I don’t often see it around at least we’re l come from. I really didn't have much time to get informed enough about this type of clothing.” But not only was she dressed uniquely but she also had a large shield on her back. Impressive especially considering it didn’t look like she was having too much trouble getting around with it. Was it her weapon does it have a cool transformation into a sword maybe a cannon or something like that?
“ Oh yeah, I was being a little rude there. My My name is Seto... Domino Seto. Most call me Seto thought.”. Almost extending his right hand for a handshake before slowly pulling it back.

Sorry for doing it like this I am away from home because of work and can't use my laptop.

Orin Orin Vagabond Spectre Vagabond Spectre

Flora was caught off guard as suddenly the sound of various objects started to skid across the floor along with a girl who had been worried about it all just by looking at her. Looking down towards her feet, she noticed an object had made it's way over and tapped her shoe with the name "Tiffany" written upon it. Aw, what a cute name. The faunus thought while looking back briefly toward the girl before reaching down toward the case. However, Anubis beat her to the punch as he grabbed the case and handed it back to the girl. "Don't be sorry, Tiffany- If that's your name." Flora smiled warmly and put her own bag down on the ground before crouching and assisting with some of the smaller pieces that had slipped from the bag like her pens and pencils before handing them back to her in both hands. Poor girl, she must have been in a rush but it didn't seem like anyone else was so no doubt she may have had time before the meet-up began.

She's very sweet it seems. I love how cute those glasses look on her too. Oh wait, look at those eyes! They're so blue! It was obvious that Flora was admiring the girl much like one would admire nature and how beautiful it could be when venturing through. "This is Anubis, and I'm Flora. It's nice to meet you." Her eyes shifted down to see if the girl had hurt herself with the fall, after all, the ground wasn't always all sunshine and rainbows and could be pretty nasty with open wounds if not taken care of quickly I'm not sure if I have some bandages in my bag...But we could surely get her to an infirmary if she's hurt. Lifting her gaze right back up to Tiffany, she spoke up "Are you hurt? That surely could have been a nasty fall for your knees." Granted everyone was pretty durable but hey, some minor cuts can hurt more than others. Like a paper cut that hurts like a bitch yet its such a small wound.

Hearing a voice, Teel looked around him before realizing it came from above and behind him. He almost jumped a little when he came face-to-face with a girl hanging in an unnatural position. At first, he was worried she had fallen, but quickly made sense of the upside-down girl. He should have sensed that she was there, but he had been none the wiser to her presence. He quickly noticed her snake eyes. "Ah, snake faunus. Typical." He thought. He was impressed with the display of flexibility, however. After she slid down, he returned her greeting.

"Teel Finback. Good to meet'cha, Delphy." He said, and extended his hand. He tried to be friendly and smiled, accidentally showing his wicked sharp teeth. "...Snake faunus, right?" Teel already figured, but he didn't want to assume. Sometimes the reptilians were hard to differentiate. Certainly, he'd hate to be mistaken for something else, even though it was kind of hard to miss the fin and gills. He tried not to be awkward, but her serpentine eyes ticked a primal box that made him nervous, somehow.

This important day began hectically for Livi. First, she burned her breakfast, then she nearly forgot the keys to the room she was renting for the week. Seeing how her day was going, she decided to take it slow and steady. As she walked to the beacon courtyard, she inspected herself.

"Clothes nice and tidy? Check. Weapons? Check. Ragni's scarf? Check. Our last photo? Chec..." Just as she was about to confirm having the important memento of her father figure and mentor, a bird flew by and snatched the item away. Livi began to chase after it.

During the chase, she ran and jumped up and down to catch the bird or make it drop the photo. Finally, she managed to catch the bird as it flew low to avoid hitting a sign. With the bird in her hand and her photo back, she held the bird like a football and launched it into the sky. "And that's what you get for stealing from me," Livi said as she hid the photo in her pocket. She then took a quick look around the area and realized it was the beacon courtyard.

Livi began roaming aimlessly around the area, looking at different people and their weapons. She knew that some of them could be potential teammates or rivals. As she walked, she ended up running into someone surprisingly. However, what was more surprising was that Livi fell butt-first to the ground, something that didn't happen often. Not wanting her first interaction with possible teammates to start with a fistfight, she lowered her pride and apologized for the situation.

"I'm sorry, I was a bit excited while looking around and did not see you," Livi said to the unknown stranger, with her ears flopped down and her tail slung low, showing her sincerity.

After a bit, Livi lifted her head to look at the person she ran into. At first, she was surprised at the person's height, but then her looks caught her attention. "Wow, either you are really tall, or I'm really a shortie. Either way, you look beautiful in that dress. Also, scarf buddies... Oh, where are my manners." Livi quickly cleaned herself up before extending her hand for a handshake, her ears perked up, her tail swung high, and she did the famously cute dog head tilt to the side with a wide smile on her face. "Names Livi Wulfric. Nice to meet ya'."

NEIL BLUES

“Huh?” Neal blinked, momentarily confused. It then clicked in her mind. “Ohhh crap, is ‘Forest’ your name -err, last name? Sorry, didn’t mean to come off as creepy.”, she added with a nervous chuckle. This was going well. With all the color-centric names on Remnant, she was surprised this didn't happen sooner. “I can see others’ aura so I often call them by their color.”, she quickly explained, adjusting her glasses with a gloved finger. “Uh, anyway, I’m Neal, but I guess ‘Purp’ also works. Nice to meet you.”, she shrugged, not minding the nickname at all.

“Pretty crazy gathering, huh?”, she commented, glancing at all the new students around them. It felt almost surreal to think that everyone here aimed to become a Huntsman or Huntress. She partially blamed it on the youth wanting an action-filled and ‘fun’ job instead of the ‘boring’ jobs most adults took. Then again, she had changed her plans in favor of becoming a Huntress so she couldn't exactly comment on that. “Err, I think the ceremony’s supposed to be held in the training area?”, she inquired, more to herself than as a question. “I wonder if it’s because there’s no auditorium… Well anyway, guess that’s where we’re headed.”

Claret Garnet - Beacon Academy Courtyard

Hearing the Conversation behind her, the redhead turned around to look, seeing and overhearing what was being said between the two, Claret smirked a bit as she studied the talkative one. A Faunus as well, there was no other way to explain the sheen on that hair, it technically wasn't hair... No, if she had to guess, it reminded her of feathers... Still, a remark would be held in passing as the cat was left to the musings of the bird... How perverse, and yet amusing, a bird managing to corner a cat. She was not sure how she felt about the pair and the others she seen aside. Her family never thought highly of the Faunus given the problems in Atlas, and some of that she would not say rubbed off on her. Yet at the same time the Faunus had done nothing to her. If they were in such numbers here, she would have to confront that, soon or later.

"It may be less with how so many are hurrying in, or it may be accelerated should those needed be gathered.... What is the expression, if you aren't early, you're late." And with that she went on about her way. Here and there a student stood out, blended in, rushed and in a few cases, even hid. Carrying on with her baggage in her left and slung about her person, and her trusty weapon packed up in her right, she soon found herself with a new voice and figure coming up alongside her. Judging by his gear, he was an oddity in the world. One that lacked depth perception, what with missing an eye, unless the patch was a fashion accessory.

Not that she could say much as she let out a small, "ha." at his offer of introduction. With both hands full, she sat down her weapon with a heavy thud and then held out her own hand in response, turning as she did so. "Claret Garnet. A pleas-" It was then that her bag turned into another girl who had been seemingly dazed in the middle of the courtyard and had just started walking as Claret turned. The bag wasn't that heavy, but she had still bumped into the girl.

"Ah... Pardon me, you are alright, yes?" Finishing her handshake with the other man, the great coat and olive drab wearing woman turned her attention to the girl in a coat, with seemingly a pet bird, if that falconry glove was any indication on her right hand. Hopefully it was not too defensive of its Master.

Myst didn't really have a plan and was just milling about she was sure the headmaster would make a speech or something formally welcome the new students. There wasn't to much to do without the headmaster showing up as being a boarding school there likely would not be to many places to keep your stuff as you had a room. Myst could go wandering the grounds and see the things she had seen in pictures and on maps in person, but she had never been one who needed to places herself. So this left her to wander and notice others were not wearing anything more than street clothes, well some people didn't really like to dress up and without anyone to really force them to do it they wouldn't. That made enough sense for Myst who tended to not exactly have a normal thought process.

While Myst was just milling about waiting a person came up to her and the first thing she noticed was that he was taller than her. Myst had gone under one hell of a growth spurt and had been taller than most of her classmates for the longest time. She didn't mind it, but having to slightly look up to see others faces fully was something that Myst was no longer used to. The tall boy had to be another student and he seemed like one that had gone for a casual look like most others. It seemed her outfit really did stand out as that was the first thing the boy talked about and Myst was a bit confused as to why it seemed so special. Well travel to other areas of the world wasn't exactly common but with the towers the internet was a thing so fashions from around the world weren't exactly unheard of.

" Its from Mistral " Myst said which was about all she thought needed to be said to explain it. She didn't go into complex explanations or normal ones often. To Myst she was just one to forget that others didn't think like she did.

Before Myst could Seto's hand she felt something collide with her and almost bounce off. Myst with her shield was rather hard to move as while it might not look heavy on her it was rather heavy. Still it was made out of more advanced materials than just metal so it wasn't the heaviest thing. Myst by now was used to this shield as she had go through the combat schools to get into beacon and thus had been using it for years after she made it herself. Myst did wonder how many others made their weapons if they weren't at the schools. Still Myst had more important things to worry about namely the thing that collided with her. The thing that hit her turned out the be a Faunus girl a short one at that. Myst did not know which to deal with first Seto or the girl. The faunus girl seemed to have no filter when talking to her any the dress, or if she did calling someone beautiful when you first met them was an interesting to let slide. When Livi got up and put on the most puppy dog like face myst could imagine any other names were forgotten the girl before her was puppy, which fit the canine faunus well.

" Myst Teal " Myst said not exactly sticking to normal greetings despite just hearing them " He is Seto, puppy" Myst said again messing up social norms and letting the name she would have stuck to Livi forevermore out without any shame. Calling a faunus by what animal they had traits of might be rude, or could be seen as it but Myst didn't really think of that. When you thought a dog was cute you called it a puppy so why not a canine faunus?
