Name: Maryann Mallardi

Nickname: Mimi, Mary, Miriam, and Myron as a joke nickname.

Age: 21

Gender: Female

About them[history and personality]:
Maryann is a normal girl, who is pretty much sick and tired of how people treat each other in this world. For all, she wanted to do is make others happy, so she can be happy and live in peace.
However, reality isn't like that, and people are so cruel to each other. Even her family are cruel to her, since they never cared enough to notice anything she does for them. They only pay attention if she does something wrong, so she gets a lot of yelling from them.
This makes her want to either control the fools or just to kill them from the face of the earth, because of her anger of being unwanted.
Although, Maryann would rather not do that. As she wants to find a way to get true peace without needing to use violence.

Also, Maryann doesn't like to be in college, even though she is smart. Because they don't help her with what she wants to know. She is only there to get a stupid degree for a work she wants to get. Even though, Maryann doesn't care about that. She actually wants to know about things that a normal person wouldn't know about.

Maryann is normally quiet when she is with her friends, because she wants to read one of her books in peace. But she will talk to you if you say something to her, or she has something important to say. Maryann loves animals, but she isn't clingy towards them. She just like to pet them, and give them a treat.

Likes: Making others happy, video games, books, art, anime, manga, new things, and animals.

Dislikes: Cruel people, violence, bats, college, and snakes.

Current morality status: Good

God of choice: The high goddess

Book name: The book of water

Book appearance:
It's a thick blue book with aquamarine tear shapes on it. It also has golden lines on it, white frills, and it looks shiny like the water. The dark pages of the book have grey pages, and writing has glowing blue words on it.

Feelings on the book: Maryann is happy about the water book, but she is also a bit annoyed about how it makes her have strong emotions. She is curious about the few darker pages in the book, since she thought that the book wouldn't have those pages with it having all of those charms and healing spells. But she doesn't dare to look at those pages, due to how creepy the book might get.

Name: Solana Avaris
Nickname: Lana
Age: 22
Gender: Female
About them: Solana has always had her head in the clouds, her feet in the sand. When she wasn't swimming she was somewhere hidden reading or writing. Adventure called her soul since she was young enough to walk, the need to be free in her bones. Solana was apart of a gaggle of children adopted when she was young, having grown up half wild before. There wasn't much known about her first few years in life, but jokes and rumors followed her from elementary school and on. It wasn't until she was accepted a fullride scholarship for swimming was she able to escape her past. Once in college the need for the thrill of adventure became less and less the closer she grew with other people.
Likes: Swimming, the ocean, water, the sun, reading, writing
Dislikes: Moths, small spaces, screeching noises, the cold
Current morality status: good
God of choice: The consort

Book name: The book of Hatia
Book appearance: A worn dark black leather cover holds this old book together. The pages are thick and yellowing, but the black ink looks new and fresh on every page, the writing in the most beautiful cursive. The cover has etched in flowing silver, green and blue different planets and astrology mapping that flow over the whole book.
Feelings on the book: Confusion, intrigue and need feel Solana everytime she thinks of her book. Literal power flows through her when she picks it up. Countless pages of spells and information keep her mind busy. Plus she enjoys the company of Iris-the cat that came with the book.

Name:
Lysander Clementine

Age: 25

Gender: Male

About them: A collector, not one of trinkets or artifacts, but of memories and words, Lysander values making impressions and connections on people above all else. He is rarely seen not resting on a floor in one of the random shops around Esselwood, holding a conversation with one of the shopkeepers in between customers or walking with someone carrying their groceries, holding a conversation on their way to their car or bike. He loves getting people to open up, trying to always keep a caring and soft presence as he wanders around town, going for long walks with headphones in and a weak smile.
Clubs, Bars and Café's have attracted him since he was old enough to sneak in, wandering from the odd wallflower, to the bold party-goer, and reaching out to those who seem sad or troubled, acting as a source of venting and shelter to those who allow it. This has developed his wish to run a small Café, along with his fondness for teas and coffees.
Lysander himself is composed, although he often seems detached, he stays carefully observant of his surroundings and in times of stress of tension he zones out, his body acting purely through instinct and snapping back when many things have already occurred. When approached he is quick to put on a smile, and has few wants or needs himself, able to bury himself in a book or immerse himself in a show to pass the time.
Having grown up with a single mother who was never around, having a nearly 24 hour job protecting an important political figure, and not getting any attention when she was around, Lysander developed his need for giving others affection, and learned to take care of himself. Seeing college as a way to develop relationships and learn about entrepreneurship, he joined with little thought, and finds himself having little problem keeping up with the curriculum.

Likes: Tea, Coffee, Stories, Books, Jogging, Opening up

Dislikes: Cities, Staring,

Current morality status: Morally Good

God of choice: The High Goddess

Book name: Misery

Book appearance:
The book is thick with a black leather spine that instead of a title has small crossbones running across the side. The front cover is brown, at the top is a knife that drips blood down onto a human silhouette, and the four corners have small monstrous toothy grins that seem to smile when a spell is read aloud. The book's letters start black and get progressively redder and redder further in the book. The back cover has a golden bed with a monster peeking out from underneath, it's claws reaching up for the sleeping figure sleeping inside. More creepy imagery and dark pictures seem to appear on the book the more it feeds off people's misery, and the pictures start to turn red in color as it is fed more blood.

Feelings on the book:
Lysander finds himself almost sickened when he holds the book, aside from it's grotesque looks, the only thing keeping him from burying it in a ditch is curiosity, and the strange memories that flow through his heads of secrets and nightmares hundreds of people have confided in him over the years, causing himself to debate over the book's blood toll.

Name: Cynthia Bloodrose

Nickname: Thia and Cindy (She gets instantly annoyed when people call her Cindy)

Age: 21

Gender: Female

About them: Cynthia has been described as stubborn and unyielding in the past. When she puts her mind to something she won't let anything stop her from accomplishing her goals. Her Mother died giving birth to her younger sister, which sparked this stubbornness in her. Cynthia filled the void that her mother left and did everything in her power to support her father and her sister. Despite being forced to take on responsibility at a young age, Cynthia still despises being told what to do. Her philosophy being that it's her life so she will do as she pleases and overcomes anything with her own will. Over the years her personality hasn't improved only becoming more hot-tempered and less willing to deal with people she doesn't like. She attended college because she saw it as the best way to help her family and slightly because one of her old teachers said she could never make it into this college.

Likes: Family, Music, Turtles, the Moon, and Stars, video games, reading, and sour food

Dislikes: Coffee, annoying people, clowns, history, and dolphins

Current morality status: neutral

Book name: The Book of Fire

Book appearance: The book is thick with a leather spine that is the color of ash. The front cover is normally crimson red though it appears to be flickering like a flame with shades from red to yellow. The center of the cover is a ruby in the shape of a phoenix surrounded by the same gold that is accented throughout the book. The writing in the book starts off red, but as one gets deeper into the book the color slowly shifts to a blue.

Feelings on the book: Cynthia adores the book of fire. It makes her feel complete in a way she never knew possible. Whenever she holds the book in her hands she can feel the heat course through her body filling her with energy. When she is reading the book Cynthia is filled with determination and a sense of peace.

Name: Jane Doe
Nickname: J
Age: 22
Gender: Female
Appearance: FC source: Junseok Kwon
About them:
Jane runs. Though she would never describe herself with those words, Jane does run a lot. Running clears her head, and her head is always in need of cleaning. She has been running since forever, at times it’s the only thing she can do. You don’t need much to run, it’s cheap and you can run wherever and whenever you want. It’s quite fitting, Jane has never felt attached to a particular place or a particular schedule. Not the orphanage, not the high school’s track team, not a thing.

Through a fortunate coincidence, her only talent earned her a scholarship to this college. What she did was the usual running with the flow. The college was a nice place, she was free to run to her heart’s content. And they encouraged her to do so.

Jane doesn’t chase after the approvals of others, but she could always go out of her way a bit. In fact, she finds it easier being liked by people, by having an inoffensive lifestyle. Her emotions are always in check, the girl has not the heart to complain, to feel unfair, but quite the opposite, she was ashamed to have lived by the mercy of others throughout her life. Abandoned as a newborn, she was sent to an orphanage, they fed her well and provided her with more than what she could ask for. They also never forgot to remind her how fortunate she was being cared for by strangers and taxpayers’ money. Then the high school’s track club saw her running, she never asked, but they gave her a place to belong anyway.

Although a bit of a pushover at heart, life couldn’t easily sway Jane every which way it wants. Her moral values, not overwhelmingly strong, still exist. She believes in freedom, of herself and others. By accepting and adapting to changes, to challenges, and to her own whims, Jane is still finding herself amidst the chaos that is this life unknown.

Likes: Snow, urban exploring, horror movies, alcohol, comfortable silence…

Dislikes: Rain, Monday, sentimental feelings or events…

Current morality status: Good leaning - Neutral

God of choice: The Consort

Book name: The Book of Love

Book appearance: It has the appearance of a notebook, or diary of sorts, but strangely heavier than the usual paperback books. On the pastel pink cover, two serpent-like creatures form the shape of a heart, their tails twist together but their heads separated. Inside, the book is filled with drawings of no consistent style or theme, sometimes spill over the pages, onto the text like childish doodles. They have no clear meaning either, some depict contorted sceneries, disfigured animals and objects in childlike manners; while the rest is just obscure shapes and signs. The writing styles vary between chapters, with each one mostly contains playful, whimsical spells, charms, and potions. Although some chapters notably turn darker towards the end, then end abruptly as if someone has torn out the last few pages of those chapters, hidden away the unwanted content. The book also has plenty of empty pages to create new magic.

Feelings on the book: Jane was cautious at first but the book’s seemingly harmless nature has eased her wariness. With her curiosity piqued, she started to explore the book and treated it as a useful toy. She has yet to use it for anything life-changing, just simple lighting tricks, aroma potions, and hair straightening charms.

Name: Sebastian Lider
Nickname: Seb
Age[21-27]: 23
Gender: Male

About them:
Learning is fun. Education is the best tool for success. Knowledge is a weapon that can't be taken from you. These are the tenants that Sebastian lives by and have been drilled into him from a young age. His father had been the first to go to university and get a well paying job from a long line of "unemployed, lowlife degenerates" (his father's words) and always preached how important it is to learn. So now Sebastian spends most of his time searching for new forms of knowledge, as well as refining his old knowledge.

This means that books, the internet, and asking questions are the foundation for his daily routine and he is always attempting to gather new skills but despises anything that gets in the way of this. He talks to people out of necessity, appearing bored by mundane conversations, but becomes inquisitive if something piques his interest in a person. He wants to understand everything around him to the minute detail, but this leaves him scatterbrained and unable to focus on one task for too long if he isn't intently studying it. This obviously led him to get fantastic grades, and a scholarship to boot, much to the joy of his father.

His obsession with learning often leads people to dismiss him as pretentious or as someone who tries too hard, but at his core, he is a man who likes to follow his own path and wants to admire the world around him through the lens of learning and facts.

Likes: Books, the Internet, and asking questions
Dislikes: Stupid people, people who waste opportunities, wasting time
Current morality status: Neutral
God of choice: The Goddess
Appearance:

Book name: The Book of Life
Book appearance: A simple basic and brown tome. Though the foundations may seem plain, the extra trimmings and decor flow around the edges, drawing your eyes to the centre of the cover where a large great tree is embossed in an almost runic stylised symbols, the branches of which seamlessly flow into with ornate golden vines that stretch and snake across the edges. It looks far heavier than it is, possessing an astonishing lightness and feeling of comforting warmth.

Feelings on the book: As the book has an innate comforting aura, some would say, Sebastian cannot help but have a faint smile whenever he leafs through the pages. He is accustomed to the feeling of having a book in hand, but this was a wholly different experience, filling him with confidence and a new sense of kindness the longer he has it in his possession.

Name: Zachariah Blackwell
Nickname: Zach, Zachary
Age: 24
Gender: Male
About them: Zachariah grew up in a very formal household. Which makes sense all things considered. He's the sole heir to a soon to be multi million dollar company that he has zero interest in. Despite him focusing most of his time learning the proper inner workings of how to run a business and how to negotiate he had no real passion for it. It was his Parents who were the competitive ones when it came to running a business. In fact the only reason he has yet to actively rebel against his parents is simply because they actively support his desire to live simply with him having taken a portion of his inheritance to start up a local coffee shop that has an ever growing library upstairs. They see it as a great starting point for him seeing it as a sort of practice run with a small time business with him getting a basic understanding of what it's like to own something even if it's small scale. Still while he doesn't completely understand his parents ideals he has found a certain enjoyment in being in control of the happenings of a space that he owns, and maintains.

Though he is a generally relaxed, and passive individual there are a few things that could set him off with them mainly spanning on his amount of control over a situation. If he finds a customer tossing a book carelessly somewhere he will ban them from his shop for a minimum of ten days. Any repeat offenders are banned indefinitely. He places a lot of importance on people following his rules inside his shop. It's the only reason he started hiring people, becasue he began to recognize that he wasn't the most welcoming individual naturally, but his newest employee served to counteract that with their rather bright disposition leading to an increase in customers.(Employee is just a Npc that runs things when he's gone.)

Likes: Coffee, Rain, Cats, Books
Dislikes: Failures, Meddling, Loud people, Inconsistent People
Current morality status: Slightly Evil Leaning Neutral
God of choice: The High Goddess

Book name: Book of Air

Book appearance: A thick book with a light yellow leather cover with a light blue cloud emblem in the middle with a dark blue diagonal shield put around it. From each corner there are dark yellow chains that stretch from the corners to wrap around the shield in the center.

Feelings on the book: Zachariah was surprised by the positivity that emanated from the book he was fairly disappointed intially at the lack of offensive capabilities that the book had, but then he got to the strengthening of his spells through meditation, and he was suddenly very enthusiastic on understanding his book. With the increase in the strength in binding spells he’d found what he believed to be the true power of his book. After all if an enemy is unable to attack you then it won’t pose a danger to him.

Name:
Theodore Faylinn

Nickname:
Theo

Age[21-27]:
21
Gender:

Male

History:
Theodore grew up in a home where he was told that his grades mattered above all else, and that appearances mattered. He was often told that he was to be seen and not heard because he was a nuisance to his family and their business. The only person he grew up with that seemed to care for him was his Grandmother, who basically raised him in his mother and fathers absence as they were always traveling on business. His grandmother was a kind and gentle woman who taught him about flowers and how to brew the perfect cup of tea from herbs in her garden. She passed away a few years before he entered high school and he slowly distanced himself from others and his family when he could. The only thing he remembers these days of his grandmother is the beautiful garden she had, leading to one of his obsessions, Flowers.
When it was time to attend college, Theodore decided that he should go somewhere far enough away from his family.. and that is what he did.

Personality:
Theodore is calm, and very quiet, shy even around people he doesn't know, due to what his parents implanted in his brain. But once you get to know him he can be kind and gentle towards others. Theodore is very studious and can often be found reading in the library or a cafe. To others, they might think that Theodore has a glum aura around himself because of his general tired and sad expression, but he can be quite cheerful and gentle around people he knows, usually trying to cheer others up if they are feeling sad.

Likes:

Book Name:
Book of Death

Book Appearance:
The Book of Death is a white book with black runic designs on it, in the center is a large skeletal face with a black flower coming out of its mouth and an intricately designed pentagram on its forehead. The two clasps that holds the the book closed is a skeletal hands that appear to grip its inner secrets closed. The pages themselves are what seems to be tea stained in texture and the words inside are written very clear and proper for some spells in a clean black ink, but the more damaging and chaotic spells almost seem to be scrawled in a moment of insanity in deep red ink. Some of the pages have also been pressed with flowers as if to mask the aura of death and decay that emanate from the book itself, on of Theodore's doings.

Feelings on the Book:
Theodore is frightened of the book and scared of its contents while also finding them alluring and interesting. He could never have guessed how much damage could be done with magic, He always figured there were harmful spells out in the universe... but never like this. He wonders if he could be capable of such chaotic power, but it also scares him to tap into his full potential using this type of power.

Name: Vincent Litvak

Nickname: Vince

Age: 23

Gender: Male

About them:
Vince grew up in an orphanage, his parents having disappeared mysteriously at a young age. Due to his rather uncaring attitude, he was never adopted. This has never really seemed to bother him though.

Vince is a very laid-back and carefree individual. He doesn’t think much about things before he does them, usually just going with the flow or other’s suggestions. That is in fact how he found himself in college. Someone said something along the lines of “Wow, you’re pretty smart. You should become an engineer or something.” So, he found himself majoring in engineering, more specifically, computer engineering. Because why not, right?

Likes: Cats, coffee, books, rain, animals in general, gets along well with children
Dislikes: Bananas, impressionism art, The Eternal Fire of Baba Gurgur
Current morality status: Neutral
God of choice: Her Consort

Book name: Glass
Book appearance: The outer cover and the lining of the Book of Glass are reflective. This causes the book to look almost exactly like a thick square mirror when closed. Looking into the book's reflection yeilds different results for different individuals at different times. Most times it just acts as a mirror, other times it appears see through, and some times you might see something crazy. As such, Vince tries to keep a book cover on it.

Feelings on the book: Vince thinks his book is an asshole, but deals with it as magic is pretty cool. He feels pretty dangerous about carrying a bunch of different types of glass in his pockets/backpack all the time. It makes airport security pretty mad, so that's fun. He wishes his book was less judgy and had a fireball spell in it, but how can he complain when most people have no magic at all?

IRL Timezone: Arizona time. We're weird and don't have daylight savings so we get our own time zone.

Name: Valentina Jacklyn Perez

Nickname: Valentine, Val

Age: 22

Gender: Female

About them: Valentina grew up with her father, two brothers, a sister, and her grandmother. She was the second oldest of her family and was often overlooked by her father in favor of watching her two youngest siblings and making sure her older brother went to college. She wasn't abused or neglected, but she certainly wasn't used to being the center of attention. Her only real friend for most of her childhood was her grandmother, who was now widowed because her husband has passed away from a heart attack. Her mother was deeply affected by his passing and spent her days locked in her room. She eventually died because she no longer felt the need to take care of herself. Valentina and the rest of her family all suffered from their mothers passing very harshly. This was about the time she got close to her grandmother. She would always tell Val fantasy stories about magic and huge, grizzle creatures. It never scared Valentina, but really interested her. As she got into college she was very interested in studying ancient mythology.

Likes: Fantasy, animals, friends, eating, flowers, storms

Dislikes: Spiders, high spaces, people who shut her down, being bored

Current morality status: Neutral

God of choice: Consort

Appearance: 578333

Book name: Book of the broken

Book appearance: A black book with intricate designs that swirl around the cover. They seem to break off in random directions and end in places that make no sense with the design. The pages inside are worn, browned and cracked with age.

Feelings on the book: Val wants to accept the book, but finds a bubbling hatred towards it. Offering up her innermost sorrow seems incredibly invasive, making her feel vulnerable. She often feels that the book knows exactly what she is feeling and thinking.

Name: Darius Fogg

Nickname:

Age: 24

Gender: Male

About them:

Life’s a joke. So why does it always seem like he’s the only one laughing?

Flamboyant, over-the-top, animated. Balls-to-the-wall, bat-shit insane. The kinda guy who laughs at a funeral. Super annoying. Probably disappointing his parents.

He grew up rich as sin, so he never had to learn shit like “hard work pays off”, or “don’t piss all your inheritance away on booze and video games, you degenerate prick.” Y’know. Normal life lessons ‘n shit.

His empathy meter is way, way low. He might be a sociopath. Who fuckin’ knows? The type of guy you date to piss off your mom. The type that sells freshly mowed grass to high-schoolers who think they’re buying weed. Basically an all-around scum bucket. Totally irredeemable.

At least he’s hot. His looks make his behavior almost excusable, and, boy, does he know it. In fact, he’s never met a mirror he didn’t love. Basically, he’s got all the bad traits. All of ‘em. But, hey! That’s okay. It takes all kinds, right? Maybe his unique attitude will prove useful some day. Yeah. Fat chance. Either way, kiddos. Never forget that life’s a joke, and none of you miserable bastards are getting out alive.

Likes: Anarchy. Absolute. Fuckin’. Chaos.

Dislikes: Self-serious, prudish, morally-superior, holier-than-thou types.

Current morality status: Chaotic Evil

God of choice: The Consort

Book name: Book of Storms

Book appearance: To call it a book felt almost too generous. It was more of a journal-looking motherfucker. The kind you’d buy at Staples. It was simple, all black, no frills. Nothin’ exciting. Compared to the rest, it was downright puny.

Feelings on the book: Fuckin’ metal. Let’s fry these fools. If only the book wasn’t exactly the kind of goodie-two-shoes little bitch that, under different circumstances, Darius would’ve shoved into a locker and stolen milk money from. And, god, was it so lame sometimes. Even its cover shouted, “Wet blanket!” C’mon, man! Where’s the pizzazz? If Darius had designed it, he’d have included at least infinity more lightning bolts. And not to mention... Why did his have to be so small?

Name: Lyra Valkhryn
Nickname: Rin-to her parents and a few close friends-
Age[21-27]: 21
Gender: Female
About them: Lyra is a stonewall until she isn't, things bounce off of her until they don't. She has a very soft and quiet presence among people especially her friends. She doesn't like to go out of her way to cause trouble or pain. This doesn't mean she goes out of her way to make people happy, she doesn't care too much about that either. Once Lyra reaches her breaking point it's hard to reign her back in-she isn't the same anymore. A fighter, a dreamer, these descriptions have followed her around since she was young.

Lyra had been a twin when she was born, but they were too premature and Lyra was the only one to make it. Her family had always been part of the one percent-very old money- but even that couldn't save her sister. She vowed at a young age to not let herself sink into the easy grasps of money, the death a reminder of how weak its security is. As per tradition in her family everyone was to be involved in one physical activity, one artistic, and have private tutors on top of going to school. To keep up with this pace Lyra always worked hard, but that doesn't mean she always succeeded. Lyra choose to do taekwondo for her physical training, take up pottery for her artistic; and she excelled greatly in both, but school never came easy to her. It took too much of her concentration for too long, everything else she did she had the freedom to just zone out and be.

Due to her struggles with academics there was no way for her to go to an ivy league-unless her parents lied and cheated- so she choose a smaller one at random. She took all the schools that she was considering that were as far away from her parents as possible, and picked from a hat. By pure chance she ended up at Esselwood.
Likes: Sleeping, dreaming, physical activity, coffee, her bed
Dislikes: Traditions, school, having to pay attention, mushrooms, and she is allergic and hates shellfish
Current morality status: Completely neutral
God of choice: The Consort

Book name: The Book of Spirit
Book appearance: It is a soft and thin black velvet book. On the front etched in purple is a hand holding an apple with a lock in the middle. On the back very small and seemingly burned on is a skull. Inside words are written in black flowing ink on strange and soft purple pages.
Feelings on the book: It draws her in, it's like Lyra could just stare at it all day. The information inside is intriguing, but some things are dark and she isn't ready to face most of it.
