Backstory: Violet is a ward of the principal of the school, Damion Vega. While others do not know of her direct relation to the Principal of Nocturne Academy, she is tasked personally with overseeing and documenting the developments between humans, vampires and magicians attending the school. As such she was granted the position of Hall Monitor in order to give her more freedom to explore and keep track of everyone.

Backstory:
Lux's life has been difficult since his younger years. When he was seven, his parents were killed by his aunt in an elaborate plot to usurp their company. When he was nine, he was forced to stab that same aunt for her fortune. At age ten he was kidnapped by vampires and drained daily as a living blood bag for their expeditions near Spain. All of these events made Lux bitter and cynical towards the world. It was here that he met Delphi, the Abyssal Oracle. His future actions were cloudy in her prescient sight. Freeing him from his captors, she seared her gift into his very bones. With his new vision granting him foreknowledge. Lux took over the vampires platinum mining operation and sent almost all of his abusers to the depths. The few remaining vampires were drained of THEIR blood before being staked. He synthesized this vampire blood into a spice-like powder dubbed "V", which he then sold on the black market. While at first he enjoyed using his power for wealth and personal gain. Delphi quickly showed him the future of man and vampirekind going forward. The oncoming centuries would bring war, famine and political unrest. Furthermore, it would bring a decrease in the quality of humanoid culture, spreading ignorance. Finally, conflicts between Magician and Monster groups would escalate disastrously due to advancements in magical technology. This was the future of their people if things continued as they were in the world. While at first Lux was disgusted at the selfishness of man and monster alike. He eventually came to love and admire their ability to create. Consulting the spirits of scholars, scientists, magicians and conquerors. Lux eventually made a deal with Delphi. Humans, Vampires and all other creatures needed a common enemy. Lux would make himself a nigh omniscient tyrant and dominate the entire planet. He would oppress all people for millennia to the point where their creativity and inquisitiveness would reach breaking point. When they'd finally overthrow and kill him. The people would unite and rebuild their world better than ever before. With his cruelty fresh in their minds, they'd endeavor to think for themselves and not blindly follow the charismatic. With this in mind, Lux took the first step on his reluctant road to conquest. He'd learn everything he could at Nocturne Academy in order to find a way to extend his lifespan and empower his body.

Due to complications with her birth, her mother died some time after she was born, leaving her father without a wife, and her two older brothers, Uriel and Johan, without a step-mother.

This, was, however not necessarily a problem for any of them. If anything, it seemed to be a blessing in disguise.

Two some years after her mother's death, her father remarried, and she began her lessons as a Magician, and, a future wife.

With emphasis on the latter.

Her brothers were given every resource they could possibly ask for, encouraged to seek out the limitations of their Grimoire, to be better than her father.

Vanessa on the other hand? She was handed over to her step-mother, who had certain views about how little girls should spend their free time, and their lesson time for that matter, hell, the woman had her entire life planned out six hours after meeting her, and Heaven help her if she ever strayed from the woman's said plans.

She was punished constantly, for wanting to explore the mansion, for reading about anything outside of geography or basic mathematics, berated constantly for every little error, educational or otherwise, by her father, and her step-mother.

This led to Vanessa rarely leaving her room as a child, and developing a very... Shy personality, so to speak.

And yet, she still loved to learn.

Then her younger brother was born when she was eight, and her older brother, Johan, snapped and attacked their step-mother over something she was never made aware of, ultimately killing her.

Johan disappeared, and she, and a hired nursemaid, were left as Licht's only real sources of human contact.

Then her father remarried. Again. Three months later.

Thus, Licht and Venessa were turned over to the woman, to raise and care for. Said woman did no such thing, and kept the nursemaid hired to raise the baby, and...

Well, unlike her previous stepmother, this one just... Kind of ignored her, oh, sure, she taught her, berated her, punished her as everyone else in her household seemed to, but... She pretty much ignored her outside of her lessons.

And so, Vanessa took pleasure in pursuing the education her last step-mother forbade her from, excelling and going further and further into Runes as she progressed.

And, finally, perhaps in a rare show of kindness, her step-mother offered to support her in her decision to attend Nocturne Academy.

This led to her nickname/student title of 'The Terrified Procurer'. This nickname is also the bane of her existence because it makes her sound more like the Madame/Master of a brothel rather than a human lost and found/errand girl.

-Once accidentally set a vampire's hair on fire during a Rune Trial Run her first year, which was assumed to be on purpose by the burnt party, she has since pretty much cut off all contact with the Vampire's since then outside of letter based asks for help.

-Is pretty much convinced that one of the teachers is out to kill her, and thus has led her to somehow becoming his lessons assistant... It's complicated.

-Is skilled in the Violin and Harp. Mostly so she could impress her father as a child, has since been out of practice since arriving at the Academy. She's to terrified to practice any pieces without feeling like someone will criticize her like her father.

-Was, for all intents and purposes, dragged to her first joint class with humans and vampires by a teacher, both years.

-She took up Archery and Hunting in an effort to intrigue her father and older brothers, and perhaps and suitors her father sent her way, it eventually developed into an actual love for the sport, as she only has to focus on the target and her bow, which is a relief for someone with a such an active imagination with a dose of paranoia.

-During her first year, Vanessa quickly gained a reputation as a rather scared and skittish girl who couldn't seem to do more than squeak out a greeting, who also had a nack for finding lost things for the Vampire and Human students, and procuring the oddest, and occasionally mundane, ingridents/conduits/other items for her fellow Magicians. This led to her nickname/student title of 'The Terrified Procurer'. This nickname is also the bane of her existence because it makes her sound more like the Madame/Master of a brothel rather than a human lost and found/errand girl.

-Once accidentally set a vampire's hair on fire during a Rune Trial Run her first year, which was assumed to be on purpose by the burnt party, she has since pretty much cut off all contact with the Vampire's since then outside of letter based asks for help.

-Is pretty much convinced that the Runes Teacher is out to kill her, and thus has led her to somehow becoming his lessons assistant... It's complicated.

-Is skilled in the Violin and Harp. Mostly so she could impress her father as a child, has since been out of practice since arriving at the Academy. She's to terrified to practice any pieces without feeling like someone will criticize her like her father.

-Was, for all intents and purposes, dragged to her first joint class with humans and vampires by a teacher, both years.

-She took up Archery and Hunting in an effort to intrigue her father and older brothers, and perhaps and suitors her father sent her way, it eventually developed into an actual love for the sport, as she only has to focus on the target and her bow, which is a relief for someone with a such an active imagination with a dose of paranoia.

-Typically associated with slow, quiet, and somewhat shrill piano pieces.

Everything seems good but I'm not sure whether we'll have any runes classes yet as I'm having the school focus more on mundane classes and simply having the magicians be a secret group within the school.

Backstory:
Lux's life has been difficult since his younger years. When he was seven, his parents were killed by his aunt in an elaborate plot to usurp their company. When he was nine, he was forced to stab that same aunt for her fortune. At age ten he was kidnapped by vampires and drained daily as a living blood bag for their expeditions near Spain. All of these events made Lux bitter and cynical towards the world. It was here that he met Delphi, the Abyssal Oracle. His future actions were cloudy in her prescient sight. Freeing him from his captors, she seared her gift into his very bones. With his new vision granting him foreknowledge. Lux took over the vampires platinum mining operation and sent almost all of his abusers to the depths. The few remaining vampires were drained of THEIR blood before being staked. He synthesized this vampire blood into a spice-like powder dubbed "V", which he then sold on the black market. While at first he enjoyed using his power for wealth and personal gain. Delphi quickly showed him the future of man and vampirekind going forward. The oncoming centuries would bring war, famine and political unrest. Furthermore, it would bring a decrease in the quality of humanoid culture, spreading ignorance. Finally, conflicts between Magician and Monster groups would escalate disastrously due to advancements in magical technology. This was the future of their people if things continued as they were in the world. While at first Lux was disgusted at the selfishness of man and monster alike. He eventually came to love and admire their ability to create. Consulting the spirits of scholars, scientists, magicians and conquerors. Lux eventually made a deal with Delphi. Humans, Vampires and all other creatures needed a common enemy. Lux would make himself a nigh omniscient tyrant and dominate the entire planet. He would oppress all people for millennia to the point where their creativity and inquisitiveness would reach breaking point. When they'd finally overthrow and kill him. The people would unite and rebuild their world better than ever before. With his cruelty fresh in their minds, they'd endeavor to think for themselves and not blindly follow the charismatic. With this in mind, Lux took the first step on his reluctant road to conquest. He'd learn everything he could at Nocturne Academy in order to find a way to extend his lifespan and empower his body.

But if they encountered the same magician then they only grew to be more dangerous to that said magician. After the war was over it took a bit before they were comfortable with meeting magicians still holding a bit of resentment towards them, though they eventually went on to become somewhat friendly towards the group, though they still did resort to threats against them when aggravated.

However, once her father became Earl, everything changed and Evelyn's mother finally was able to insist on Evelyn becoming a proper young woman. No longer is Evelyn allowed to follow after her brothers, and instead has been put through rigorous training to fast track her to being a delicate maiden, skilled in embroidery, music, and art. Evelyn has not taken to her new life with much motivation, and so she is being sent to Nocturne Academy in hopes that the prestigious school will right her ways. Little do her parents know where they are sending their daughter.
