July 1998 there have been a string of cannibalistic murders in and around the Raccoon city area. The Special Tactics And Rescue Squad (S.T.A.R.S) teams Alpha and Bravo were sent into the Arklay mountains to investigate the murders. It has been twenty four hours and neither team had reported in.

S.T.A.R.S Team Charlie was sent in to find thier missing brothers and sisters. Upon arrival they are attacked and forced to flee into the Spencer Mansion. As the doors to safety close their fight for survival begins
