  • Arkus.jpgName: Arkus Vorel
    Nicknames: Ark
    Age: 22
    Height: 7'2"
    Species: Orc
    Gender/Pronouns: Male, He/Him
    Sexuality: Heterosexual
Major: dual major of pre-med and political science
    Personality:
    Positive:
Caring: Arkus cares about others, a lot. To the point that he's willing to try and change the way his people live in order to ensure an actual future for his people, friends, and loved ones. He tries his best to look out for others and help them when he can.
Determined: One Arkus says he's going to do something, he is going to do it. Whether that means he has to traverse the fires of hell or climb the tallest mountain in the world, he will achieve his goal through hard work, sweat and tears.
Patient: It takes a great deal for Arkus to actually get mad. He's lived his entire life being looked down on for his beliefs and ideals, abut hasn't faltered against that. There's no way something you say about him can piss him off.
Righteous: Arkus has a strong sense of morals, often aiming to take the high ground rather than the easy way. Even if it means he fails at something he's trying.

    Neutral:
Protective: Arkus looks out for those he cares about. This tends to be a bit over bearing sometimes, and can come off as overprotective. However, he's just looking out for the people he cares about.

    Negative:
Temperamental: Being an orc means having a temper. Now, luckily, Arkus's 'fuse' is very long, but it doesn't mean that the explosion isn't volatile. Arkus' scream in frustration has been known to draw in a noise violation in the city.
Workaholic: Arkus feels that he must always be working towards some goal or some aspiration. If he's not, then it's time he's wasting while countless orcs die back home in mindless wars for no reason.
Self-doubting: Despite how much he's accomplished on his own, Arkus doubts his actual ability to achieve his goals and help his people before his loved ones start getting hurt. He questions and second guesses himself whenever he fails. Even if he manages to find the motivation to keep going.
Dense: The boy isn't the brightest bulb on the tree, nor is he exactly socially capable. Years in a place where fighting is the solution to everything has left him unsure of how to behave in social situations. This tends to mean he's not the life of the party; more likely the kill joy.

    History:
Raised in a fairly traditional orc family. There was his mother, father, and seven other siblings. He was the youngest, but was actually born the largest of the group. His father had great expectations for him and trained him to take over as village chief. Being born out in the war torn battlefields of the orc homeland, Arkus was trained from the age of three to fight without holding back against anyone. By the age of six, Arkus was better than all his siblings and was skilled with several different weapons. However, at the age of ten, Arkus realized that being a warrior wouldn't help his family or his tribe. More and more people were dying from illnesses and injuries during battle and it was only a matter of time until the orc tribes wiped themselves out. He decided he wasn't going to continue fighting for war, but instead picked up a katana to learn dueling. He would unite the tribes and lead them into a better tomorrow, one of peace and prosperity. His father, didn't take the idea well.

He fought his son in a duel and left a cut on the boy's jaw, though Arkus won in the end. Luckily he didn't have to kill his father to prove to the man that he was stronger. Arkus knew that he'd need more knowledge and skills to achieve his dream. So what else to do but to go to college? He applied and is now attending on a kendo scholarship covering his full ride.

    Name: Aurora Vexouli

    Nicknames: Rory

    Age: 20

    Species: Vampire

    Gender/Pronouns: Female She/her

    Sexuality: Heterosexual

    Major: Veterinary science

    Likes/Dislikes:
    Dislikes:
Humans; Aurora cannot stand the smell of human blood, let alone the taste of it. She finds the mere thought of it nauseating and would much prefer the more primal taste from that of a werewolf.

Commitment is something that terrifies her. Due to her heartbreaking dumping, her views on romance are quite skewered. She was infatuated with a boy and the moment he found his soulmate, he left her without warning. It wasn’t a casual “Let’s break up” but more of a “Why are you kissing that human?”

Family is something that many people love and hold dear— Not Aurora. She comes from a pompous old family that value tradition and pure-blooded lineages. Marriages are done for breeding purposes and interbreeding is not tolerated. She holds no love for her guardian, her grandfather, and despises being used as a pawn.

    Likes:
Animals— Big, small, scaly or fluffy. Aurora is most at ease when surrounded by the adorable monstrosities that slobber, create havoc and mischievously roam.

Reading is her get away; a book in her hand while she’s curled up beneath a tree in pure solitude is her haven.

Adventuring is something she was never allowed to do under the prying eyes of her family. Now she’s somewhat free of their clutches, Aurora spends some of her time exploring and investigating.

    Personality:
Aurora, despite her rather sunny name, is callous— to a degree. While her manners are impeccable and her social skills enviable, she loathes crowded spaces, dislikes the persistent chitter-chatter of students and often finds herself nursing constant headaches from the nauseating stenches of the people around her.

Love is but a fantasy in her eyes. Aurora couldn’t think of anything worse than holding hands and trading kisses with someone. In fact the mere thought of it often has her break out into cold sweats and anxious finger-wringing. Her nose often upturns at the romantic couples that pass her direction and more than once she has refused accompanying people on get-togethers.

Her enjoyment comes from animals; big or small. She favours the large beastly ones and hopes to go far in her venture of becoming a well renowned veterinarian.

Despite her bad traits, she’s not as vindictive as her aura lets out. She’ll go out of her way, without realising it, to help someone in need— especially if an animal is involved. Her temper can flare when someone she enjoys being around is threatened and that’s where the callousness comes into play.

    History:
Born into a political marriage between a head of the house and a woman of good pedigree. Aurora was the youngest of four and the second girl to be birthed. She grew up with a nanny; her parents never bonding with her, or her sister, as the woman were pawns to be used in their political game. That was all she was to her family; a pawn. Despite this, Aurora got along fine in life.

She was exposed to the finer, more extravagant, things in life. Her dresses were of the best materials, her food of the highest standard and the blood of the best types. With little to no interaction with the outside world, she had no friends, other than her siblings and the nannies that wandered their estate. Her view of the outside world was trivial at best; although her heart ached when she looked out of her window at the billowing trees and wildlife— She needed out of from the suffocating shackles of her chauvinistic family.

The death of her parents installed her eldest brother as the new head of their house and, while he was practically her father incarnate, he was nicer. Her grandfather took it upon himself to take over the family affairs until her brother became more knowledgable from him.

With the help of her nanny, Aurora finally left her estate under the guise of wanting to learn more in the world. She’d always loved animals and had owned many in her lifetime; why not learn how to save them from painful experiences? And with that thought she enrolled and arrived at the college— With her brother not far behind.

    ~Personality~
Kind, Evie is very kind to everyone she meets.
She will go above and beyond to make sure everyone is happy and included

Insecure, she is very unsure about herself.

Focused, Once Evie sets her mind on something it gets done.
She's kind of scary when she's in this mood

    Naïve, Evie thinks the world of people. And because of this she often finds herself getting used;
people take advantage of the fact that she thinks no one can do wrong.

Vibrant, Evie is very joyous all the time.
You'd hardly ever find her in a saddened state.

Clutz, Evie is clumsy. She's is often bumping into things and people.
As her vision is a little slanted.

    ~History~
Eveline can’t remember her life before the testing. Her parents are a blur and she might have had siblings… It’s all so… fuzzy.
    Sometime between her fifth and sixth birthday she was taken. After that it was a slur of scientists and therapists;
    no faces she could recognize or remember. Then one day she woke up with an oxygen tank strapped to her back;
the tube connecting to a mask on her face. She wasn’t even surprised; they had done so much to her that it didn’t faze her anymore.
She tried to take off the mask, but it only took a matter of seconds before she had to put it back on. She couldn’t live without it.
Her life just kept getting worse after that.

One day after another blurred together. Time was irrelevant in the dome, or where she had grown up.
Plants had been stuffed into her oxygen tank, and abilities started showing up. They had stopped testing on her.
She didn’t know why. Maybe they had achieved what they wanted already, or maybe they got another test subject.
Either way it didn’t matter. One day she woke up and they threw her out. Like a piece of trash that they needed to get rid of.
They signed her up for some college that she didn’t want to go to, and threw her out. It hurt of course.
She lost everything she had ever known, and was tossed into a new and strange world she knew almost nothing about.

Luckily the scientists knew enough about her to pick a good major. She keeps her head down and studies quietly.
Eveline has all these emotions that she’ll never show. She has all of this pent up anger and sadness, but she keeps a smile on.
(Not that anyone can see it under her mask.)

Nickname(s): Gracie

Pronouns: She/Her

Species: Human

Sexuality: Heterosexual

Soulmate: August Vega

Year: 4th (Senior)

Major: Music Business; Music Performance

Height: 5'5" / 166cm

Weight: 123lbs / 56kg

Body Type: Endomorph

Body Shape: Apple

Markings: scars from childhood mischief

Modifications: piercings on each earlobe

Distinguishers: N/A

Style:
Grace usually wears a casual but girly take on athletic fashion. Dressing for comfort and without much though into her outfit, she has wardrobes full of leggings, cute waistband shorts, etc. These are usually paired with a cropped sweatshirt or some casual t-shirt, without many accessories and some sandals, or maybe boots depending on the weather. She rarely wears jeans or skirts, but does have some cute dresses--usually short, and usually fitted towards the top but loose at the bottom. She doesn't use much makeup aside from maybe some basic foundation and lip tint, and her go-to hair style is usually loose or pulled into a pineapple. She doesn't often, but when she does get braids in, Grace tends to go for thick senegalese twists or butterfly locs.
History
Mom
Dominique
44 years old
Grace has always been close to her mother. She's always been loving and calming, and always had her arms open no matter what. She's never felt uncomfortable talking to her about anything, although she keeps her struggles to herself only because she doesn't want to stress her out. Still, sometimes Dominique still manages to sense things--it's like a sixth sense. Grace is always grateful that she doesn't pry, though. One of her motivations in life is getting successful enough to give back to her mother for all that she's done for them.

Dad
Atlas
[redacted]
Despite not being his biological daughter, Atlas has always treated her as such. She never really thought about the fact that they weren't directly related until others brought up as a child, and sometimes Grace finds herself a little emotional from his constant reassurances. Atlas is her go-to in the family when something is wrong that she feels she can't absolutely handle herself, and he always manages to calm down her anxieties with ease. They're also a pretty fun duo, tag-teaming on teasing other members in the family.

Brother
Mathis
19 years old
Mathis is Grace's fun little brother. She liked dragging him along the most when they were younger because he usually wasn't completely on board as Gia and Damien were, but was just too weak willed to get around it. She also especially likes teasing him when he's around people to flirt with, so basically anyone, really. However, Mathi and Grace also both share a more sensitive side that the others don't. It's comforting when they're able to sense something is wrong and be there for each other without doing what each of them dislike: talking about it.

Sister
Gia
19 years old
Grace and Gia have a connection through their more--reckless sides. Really, all of the children's rowdiness is a bit strange considering their parents' caln nature, but Gia and Grace especially are more daring and adventurous with theirs. Although Grace doesn't exactly enjoy rebellion, sometimes her interests end up accidentally breaking the rules, so they really aren't that far off despite the different forms the rebelliousness takes. Grace enjoys their witty exchanges and although Gia can be a little rough around the edges, knows that both of them would do anything for one another.

Brother
Damien
18 years old
Damien is the baby of the family and always will be. Especially when they were kids, Damien tended to cling quite a bit to Grace, so they have a more physically affectionate relationship as siblings compared to the others. Grace teases him like she would the others, but especially because he's not the smartest, liked telling him ridiculous things growing up that he would just blindly believe because she's his older sister. Still, Grace was always patient and consistent in providing academic help whenever he needed it and she was available. Although they're both adults, Damien will still probably always be her baby brother.
Grace was born to a young, single Mother, Dominique, after an accidental pregnancy when she was in college. Their life together started out rough, with the father refusing to take responsibility and leaving Dominique on her own. She was forced to drop out of school, and kicked out and disowned by her parents.

Afterwards, she struggled to find a place to stay with her low credit and a stable job with her lack of credentials. She and Grace could be separated weeks at a time as she desperately looked for any place to keep her as she tried to save and find a place to live, because minimum wage really wasn't doing it--then, she came across an apartment building in a small neighborhood that gave her a chance, book a couple jobs in the area, and managed to get on her own two feet.

It was here that Dominique met her soulmate, Atlas Grave, when Grace was still only a year old. A few years later, they were married and started their own family--Atlas quite easily became the father Grace was originally rejected from. In fact, Dominique wasn't the only person to meet her soulmate; Grace actually met hers at one years old by chance at daycare. The two became fast friends, and their parents who had been in similar situations bonded as well, resulting in both families growing up together.

When Grace was a baby, she developed a minor separation anxiety and was extremely attached to her mother because of their lack time together following her birth. However, she outgrew it early on in her childhood, with Dominique no longer struggling on her own and Grace being surrounded by loving family and friends. She even got to expand on her passion for music, which was an early development since before she can remember.

Being the eldest, Grace often had the responsibility of looking after her younger siblings, and was always vehemently doing what she could for them--although, that also entailed them being dragged into her mischief. The three little ones were usually always following her around, and she made sure to take advantage of that fact to get them to do things she wanted or just to join her on some curiosity-spurred adventures.

Grace was still always particular about keeping them safe, though, and that includes outside of their own activities. She was the first the crack down on bullies when she learned of them, even though the age difference meant she couldn't always be there for her younger siblings, as much as it killed her.

However, despite the loving and healthy environment at home for Grace Grave, things were unfortunately a bit different socially.

See, the Grave family still lived in a very small town, and everyone's business was everyone's business. The young single mother and her child was no exception. Dominique may have met Atlas and began their own nuclear family, but as time went on, it was always made painfully clear by others how much Grace stood out in comparison.

All of her siblings and her father were vampires, and although her mother was human, all of their siblings had clear resemblances to both her and Atlas. Grace, on the other hand, took after her biological father, and when standing next to Atlas on her own, no one would ever assume they were related.

It started small, with kids in her grade making fun of her for it. Once they made her aware of the difference between her and her siblings, she began noticing everyone else's whispers and the gaze of strangers, although there were plenty times that it was all in her head. She became hyper aware--family photos started to make her feel out of place, and just walking down the street with them sometimes made her feel like she was on the looking in.

However, Grace never voiced these struggles. Although her parents eventually found out she was being picked on at school without her saying anything, she still never shared what it was about. It was a feeling that sort of dwindled as she got older, but never completely vanished, and knowing how much her parents struggle already out of concern for the twins make her even more firm about her decision to not share with anyone her selfish thoughts. After all, her two younger siblings had gone through real bullying and have serious behavioral struggles, but all she got was a little picked on before she hit double digits and an old insecurity. There was no need for her mind to make such a big deal out of it.

Grace is still very close with all of her family members, though. It's just a minor voice, sometimes, wondering if the family would seem completely normal and if she wasn't there pulling the attention in a photo.

When she couldn't voice these struggles, Grace took refuge in her music--after receiving lessons from early on in her childhood, she really took advantage and immersed herself as much as she could. Music just seemed to touch something in her that she didn't know how else to share, and something that no one else would ever be able affect, no matter what gazes or whispers they shared. She honestly feels like it's a part of her, and probably wouldn't be able to live if she couldn't indulge in her passion.

She chose to attend Ravenwood Academy with August, her soulmate, thinking it'd be good to branch out from her small town with her soulmate by her side--their music program was great, too. She wasn't expecting all three of her siblings to follow her, but doesn't mind. As long as they don't bug her too much, though...
Psyche
Virtues
Intelligent
Grace has always had quite the head on her shoulders. She learns things quickly, has a great memory, and is very observant. Her intelligence also expands to creativity, with her having a big imagination and always thinking outside the box. This makes her resourceful, and her nearly unbreakable concentration when focused only furthers her competence in most situations.
Compassionate
Although she may not always seem it because she can be a little teasing, Grace is someone with a big heart. She's very empathetic and quick to put others before herself, and has great patience on all fronts. She's also just friendly by nature, always offering a smile to whatever stranger she makes eye contact with. Her loving side especially extends to those she's close with, because she tends to be quite protective.
Mature
As the oldest sibling, Grace sort of naturally matured a little faster than others her age. Especially because of her observant and compassionate traits, she would notice when her parents especially needed help managing things and did her best to take childcare off their load when necessary. She grew to be someone who knows how to set their pride aside, keep calm when necessary, and is a pretty good mediator as well.
Adventurous
Even as a child, Grace has always been someone who yearns for some excitement. Being the curious soul that she is, the moment she takes interest in something or feels that it might be fun, her spontaneous adventure will begun, regardless of how dangerous it may be. This may seem like a bit of a vice, but her adventurous side gives her a unique braveness and positivity in most dull situations.
Open Minded
Grace's adventurous side is mostly what cultivated her open minded nature. How can she be willing to make risks and endulge in the unkown if she's scared of change, or unable to process completely different concepts? Ideas and perspectives that aren't her own are easy for her to understand and accept, especially because of her patience; she hasn't always been so flexible and receptive, but age has definitely shaped it for the better.
Vices
Sensitive
This one just went straight from Dominique to Grace. She may try to keep things that bother her to herself, but Grace is pretty sensitive and not very equipped to handling harshness, both from others or just in general. She also tends to worry easily, especially for the sake of others, and is quick to overthink things way beyond necessary.
Inexpressive
After starting a habit of not voicing what troubles her as a kid, Grace eventually just grew to not do well in expressing herself, at least with words. The only way she feels she can truly articulate how she feels is through music. This may not seem like a bad thing, but she can't exactly break into song mid-conversation, so it tends to be pretty restrictive. This contributes to her being uncommunicative--even if she would be able to voice things correctly, Grace tends to not talk things out with people and prefers handling things on her own.
Wild
This one can probably be assumed from a mile away. Grace's adventurous side tends to make her a little all over the place, but not in a boisterous manner--it's more that she's just unpredictable, but her demeanor is still a more casual one and doesn't really stand out. Her wildness also results in her making reckless decisions, prioritizing the fun over safety (within reason, of course).
Perfectionist
Along with Grace's strong focus and competence comes the habit of her being very meticulous. When serious, she ends up wanting things to be perfect, which can result in her getting carried away in whatever she's doing for the worse.
Cunning
Grace doesn't always use her intelligence positively. She's very cunning, and although doesn't really get into trouble, her slyness is definitely not something she's opposed to utilizing. Mostly it's used just to poke fun at others, though, although always lighthearted.

Erik's fashion style is mostly streetwear casual, with center on comfort over looks. He's a bit of a sneakerhead, though, with a decent collection of shoes, and keeps his clothes baggy and loose-fitting. Usually his pants are ripped or worn jeans, or cargo pants, and he has a good has a good number of sweatshirts, usually in bright colors. He doesn't have many accessories aside from the occasional cap.
History
Dad
Patrick
55 years old
Patrick is his Dad and mentor. Erik looks up to him like no one else, although his choices to end up having four kids with all different women making him a little--questionable. He just uses it as a guide to be extra careful, but there's no doubting this man's skill with a wrench, and the love he holds for his kids. He always helps everyone he comes across, too, and although his dad is always adamant that anything he does can make him happy, Erik strives to make him proud.

Grandad
Walter
81 years old
His Grandfather is honestly what Erik feels is the epitome of strength. He's been through a lot, and decades later, still grieves and loves his wife. They were soulmates, after all. Erik goes to his grandfather whenever he needs advice, especially when it comes to relationships, because he's honestly a little iffy about going to his Dad because--well, yeah. He tends to lecture a lot, to the point of it being tiring, and he's a little too old school sometimes, but Erik probably would have made a lot worse choices in life if he wasn't there.

Uncle
Samuel
51 years old
He's definitely the fun Uncle. There's definitely a large age difference, but somehow Samuel connects scarily good to anyone of any age, so they always know how to have a good time together. Erik admires his skill at his jobs just as much as he does his Dad, and feels grateful to him being there just like his grandfather is, with everything his dad has going on. He's a major snitch, though, so not really considered the "fun" uncle like most may think. Erik also looks up to him after everything he's been through, and honestly feels bad for the shit has to go through because of his ex.

Brother
Isaiah
27 years old
Isaiah kind of got unlucky being the oldest. He came out of their Dad's first marriage, and did most of the child wrangling as the oldest. A little bit too much of a stick in the mud, but went onto be some fancy and successful lawyer--compared to his other brothers, Erik isn't really a problem child and definitely hasn't given him headaches, being more complacent compared to the others mischief-wise. He's the roughest out of all of them, though, so Erik purposefully avoided pissing him off growing up because there's no way he could ever manage to be stronger than him.

Brother
Jamie
23 years old
The rowdiest one of the bunch, and the funniest to make fun of with the others. Definitely a problem child, and probably is what will make everyone get gray hair a little earlier in life. Still, he has loyalty like no other, and can make any situation a fun one to be in. The two of them are usually constantly competing with one another, which Erik usually takes a little more personally than necessary. Still, he's an older brother, but isn't as far away in age as Isaiah is, so they bonded more in that manner, and usually who Erik relied on first. That was after some years of development, though, because he was pretty much a bully in their childhood...

Brother
Tye
19 years old
Erik's little brother, but they're so close in age that sometimes he even forgets. They get along the most but also tend to fight the most, and Tye is painfully obvious about him wanting to be just like Jamie. Leave it to them to get into some trouble or cause a ruckus, usually Jamie instigating and Tye following wide-eyed behind him. Now that they're a little older things have changed some, but Tye has always been somewhat of a best friend for Erik, alongside Tony. That said, Erik definitely paid him to not apply to Ravenwood.

Cousin
Tony
21 years old
Erik and Tony have always been pretty close, mostly because the lack of an age gap. They used to have a lot of mutual friends despite not being in the same friend groups growing up, so that also contributed to them spending a little more time together than just at home--even though it was annoying sometimes. They each tended to go to each other when they needed to get things off of their chest out of the others in the family, and they were often together (with Tye) scurrying along the halls to hear when there was drama happening downstairs or something.
Erik's family doesn't really have luck with women.

It started with his Grandmother, who died a while before he was born. His grandfather raised his two sons on his own after becoming a widower not too long after having their second kid; it was a freak car accident. Her body was completely dismembered.

Then his Dad, who had all sons with all different women. Don't ask how that happened, but it did. He had one out of two different wives, one out of a one night stand, and another with an on and off girlfriend he's known since high school. None of them really wanted the responsibility of the kid since all of them were accidents, although one of his ex wives still kept in touch, and used to have joint custody.

Erik came out of the girlfriend, who dipped after having a kid from a relationship she really didn't mean to hold commitment. He's met her a few times, but they don't really talk.

His uncle is divorced after his wife cheated on him a few million times and being a little bit of a psycho, and they have a son. She's not really a real figure in his life, though, so he just lives with them, and is more of a fourth brother than a cousin.

...so, Erik was raised in a mechanic shop with seven sweaty men. At least it was a really good shop, though.

It was started by his father and uncle, who always had a thing for cars. They live above the shop in the middle of a big city, and have always done pretty well. It's sort of a family business now, and all of them helped as well as they grew up. His Grandfather usually just worked the desk and honestly was not an automotive guy, but lived with them to help raise the boys.

Erik inherited his father's love of cars, but not just working with them--he wanted to make cars, or just vehicles in general. He had always been naturally good with math and science, too, it was definitely what he was just made for. School and social life went pretty smoothly for him; any issues he had his brothers as back up, not that he really faced problems on that front very often, anyway. He never had problems making friends, either--although there was always one little thing that stumped him. Girls.

Listen, he was raised by sweaty men, and there's no living extended family that are females. He ended up being pretty skilled at guys (yes, in the other way that sounds, too), but just girls always stumped him. He's so awkward. He always chokes. Ravenwood Academy was something he was looking forward to because of the opportunity of going to a great school for what he loves, but now he has to deal with the possibility of meeting his soulmate that could very well be a woman, and may the Lord help him that's what it comes to...
Psyche
Virtues
Intelligent
Erik has always excelled in most things; he's very smart, both logically, academically, and socially (even though his charisma kind of depletes when it's a girl he's talking to). This is only amplified by how open minded he is, making him receptive to most things he's unfamiliar with.
Confident
Erik is sure of himself and his capabilities, and doesn't let his failures or the opinions of others define him. Self love is a good thing to have, and his confidence makes it easy for him to pursue what he wants in a relatively tough field, and helps him with his tendencies to hesitate.
Kind
With all the positive figures in his life, Erik grew to be someone who specifically looks to see if he can help someone. He's always been kind and generous, and quick to forgive others for most wrongdoings. He's always been pretty thoughtful, even if he's a little obnoxious with it sometimes.
Friendly
Aside from being charismatic and kind, Erik is friendly and amiable to everyone he meets, almost like a default. He's quick to make allies and has few people he doesn't get along with, especially because of his tendency to go out of his way to help others. On top of this, he's very emotionally transparent, and is not afraid in any sense to be vulnerable and honest with others.
Diligent
Erik has a scarily good work ethic, always diligent and competent in almost everything he does. This makes him understandably reliable as well, since he keeps his word and sticks to his commitments. He's really good about not biting off more than he can chew and deciding to do things accordingly, as well as time management.
Optimistic
This trait is fed into by his confidence, but really, Erik's optimism is from his loving childhood and healthy home environment. He doesn't like reveling in any negativity and is quick to find the bright side of things, even when things don't end up working out like they were supposed to. Still, he's not excessive with it, and his optimism never extends to naivety and has a sense of realism to it.
Vices
Prideful
Honestly, Erik's arrogance is just another result of his pride. He doesn't like anything to be less than the standards he has for himself, which means failure isn't really received well by him. Being wrong in general is like a stab to the heart--it's why he tends to get a little argumentative, as well, since he might be open minded, but when he knows he's right, he will not back down. Other people just have to know too, alright?
Impatient
Waiting is not really easy for Erik. If he's behind a slow driver, or maybe walking behind someone moving the speed of a snail, there's a great chance he's rolling his eyes to the back of his head and/or making some uncalled for comments. His temper doesn't do very well either, and Erik is easily annoyed and angered, even if he's somewhat good at keeping himself from blowing up.
People Pleaser
Erik definitely is confident in himself, but that doesn't mean he can't be a little bit of a sucker. He puts too much value into social interaction, and just needs people to like him. With him being kind on top of this, he can sometimes be a little bit of a doormat and can be bad at saying no.
Uncouth
Let's be a little clear here. Erik is charismatic and socially adept, there's no doubt about that--but, he's still one of seven men from a stinky mechanics shop in the middle of a big city. Manners beyond saying "please" and "thank you" are beyond him. He doesn't really know how hold himself in a formal manner, and it sometimes affects his social interaction, as well. Everyone was in everyone's business at home, and so Erik is shamelessly a nosy gossip.
Overthinker
Erik is a very bright man, but with his intelligence comes his tendency to think about thinks a little too deeply at times. He puts effort in some things that don't really need that effort, overanalyzes, and second guesses his instincts a lot.

Ray's style is a feminine mix of gothic and grunge, and she's very bold with it, as well. Huge chains, big boots, spikes, chokers--the whole shibang. She has quite the wardrobe, mostly full of black and gray; if there are any colors, they're always dark. She's a fan of fitted clothing that shows off her figure and shoes that give her a few inches more in height. She just likes towering over people. Her make up is always abundant and she's very familiar with intricate designs, and her nails are almost always some notable length and scarily sharp at the ends. Her hair is usually in lace fronts and wigs, and when natural, they're probably in butterfly locs; whether or not she uses color honestly depends, because there are times she'll leave her natural color, and times when her head looks something like a highlighter. It's the only pop of color you'll ever see on her.

Ray's backstory isn't really a new one--strict parents, small town, and defiant tastes.

She's always been something of an outcast. Maybe it was her taste for things that were a little bit further from what was normal for a little girl, but ever since before she can remember, she's been the social target. Bullying was something she experienced in almost every grade, both before and after she developed a means to stand up for herself.

Her parents were always working, and were strict beyond belief. Early curfews, perfect grades, perfect behavior, demure personas--all of it was required of a her as a lady. It was probably somewhere in high school when it finally clicked that nothing would be good enough for them, that they barely looked at her when it wasn't convenient for them, and that, well, she was happier to do whatever the fuck she wanted instead of trying to please the unpleasable.

So, she did just that--"rebelled", as they would say, but really she was just dressing as she wanted and staying out however long she wanted. She managed to make some connections over the years. It's not like she was some delinquent, but one would assume she was running a gang by the way they reacted. She indulged more in the arts as she wanted, nameable film and visual arts, and excelled quite well.

...oh, and she still got into an astonishingly good school, majoring in the arts. Ravenwood Academy is thankfully as far away as possible in a nice big city with a nice large number of students. She's not looking forward to seeing her timer end, but it was worth it.

Psyche
Virtues
Intelligent
Despite what her parents and old teachers may assert, Ray is a very bright and intelligent mind. She learns things quickly, is very observant, and has a great memory for retaining that information--she's also very creative and has a great imagination, which only serves to help her artistic endeavors. Both of those together also served to help her develop a very open mind, and she's very receptive, despite what her demeanor may lead people to believe. After being judged so much because of other's overly conservative values, she's vowed to not be the same, which adds to her ability to learn and accept things further than what she already knows.
Resilient
After her rough upbringing, Ray ended up being quite thick skinned. Insults don't really affect her very much, and neither does gossip, or people very obviously expressing their dislike of her. Failures and set backs don't get her down easily, either, and she became someone very adept at pushing through obstacles--at the same time, she ended up being surprisingly optimistic, despite what her persona may lead others to believe.
Independent
Her parents were always working and she had few allies growing up. This understandably resulted in Ray being quite independent, and used to being alone--she knows how to rely on herself and provide for herself, and also became quite bold from this. After all, she can't be independent if she doesn't have the gall to make risks or speak up for herself.
Honest
Ray has gotten quite sick of people talking behind her back but not saying things to her face. Out of her own distaste for others' actions, she became someone who is honest about any and everything, even if it's to her own detriment. She keeps things upfront with people, even when she would rather not--for example, admitting how certain things affect her feelings, even if it hurts her pride.
Kind
Ray is too familiar with unkindness, and knows how it makes others feel. She would never want to inflict that on others--well, unless it's deserved. Even before her difficult experiences growing up, though, she's always had a big heart, and is the first to help someone when she sees them in need, even if it means putting them before herself.
Vices
Guarded
Ray has spent enough time in her life being insecure. She's done with that. She's confident in herself and learned how to value and respect herself--however, after everything she's been through, this also translates into her being quite and defensive. She might take something as an insult that really wasn't meant to be, and even if she doesn't let things get to her, that doesn't mean she's the type to let people insult her and keeps quiet. She's quick to defend herself in general, really, and is very reticent, not allowing herself to get attached to others, and tends to hide her feelings unless it's someone she cares about.
Impatient
In her own words, Ray has grown to be intolerant of bullshit. Really, this just translates to her being impatient and quick to annoyance, and when she gets annoyed, her honesty comes in a little too much. Ray is very harsh with her words about basically everything, and it only gets worse when she's pissed off.
Lonesome
Although she hates to admit it, Ray is honestly just a lonely girl. She didn't have a lot of friends growing up, and even though she's grown to accept it, was still rejected by her own family, despite years of trying to keep just that from happening. She tends to get very lonely easily, which contributes to her fear of growing attached to others--what if she gets too clingy? What if she ends up not being able to live without them? How much will it hurt if they split ways?
Awkward
Social interaction, in short, is the bane of her existence. Everything about it is difficult. She may be observant enough to catch on to social queues and whatnot, but that doesn't mean she knows how to react to them. Ray is just awkward as hell. In general, she can be a little quick to anxiousness in unfamiliar environments, and on top of that, is really bad at expressing her feelings and whatnot to others, even the times when she genuinely wants to. She'll still try her hardest, though, so don't laugh when she breaks character and absolutely chokes.[/i][/i]
Naïve
Ray is an independent and reliable woman, who is headstrong and intelligent--but, at the end of the day, she still grew up in a small town, and Ravenwood Academy is her first introduction to life outside the bubble. Her optimism also contributes to this, but she is unknowingly naïve. Emphasis on "unknowingly", because no amount of intelligence can make her self aware of how easy it is to scam her.

Tony usually goes for the more fashionable side of streetwear, with layers, lots of color, and accessories--chains, bags, rings, hats, etc. He Usually stays away from fitted pants but is all for fitted shirts, and doesn't really have a preference between loose or tighter wear. He's really into shoes as well, and can be a little anal about them. Even his phone has to be a little stylish, and his case changes every year or so.
History
Dad
Samuel
51 years old
Tony loves his Dad and everything he's done for him and others--he admires his work ethic, and the charisma that gives him so many effortless friends, and the empathy that makes it easier to build a connection with him. But, there's just one thing he cannot stand: his timidity. He can't stand seeing him be a complete and utter doormat constantly, and sometimes they get into arguments about it. Other than that, though, the two are pretty close.

Mom
Talitha
[unkown]
To be honest, Tony never liked this woman. It started off as influence from gossip he heard from others in the family, but it grew genuine as he spent time with her during the moments his father forced him to as a kid. She's a selfish psycho and he honestly doesn't know how she was ever an angel. The sight of her makes him want to groan. She's an annoying embarrassment and he's glad she's too irresponsibly full of herself to attempt to be present in his life beyond the sporadic visits. He does not look forward to the day she tries to rekindle something and milk him of money once he becomes adult.

Grandad
Walter
81
Somehow, Tony in his grandfather are constantly on the same wavelength. He honestly enjoys just relaxing with him, hopefully with a beer can cracked open now that he's old enough to join those in the family that can drink. Growing up, Tony used to be annoyed easily by his constant lectures that went on for way longer than necessary, but he's grown to appreciate his wisdom--plus, he shit talks the most out of everyone back home, so there's some fun there, too.

Uncle
Patrick
55 years old
Rather than thinking of him as his uncle, Tony thinks of Patrick like a second father. He's always been there for him just as he would be for his other kids, and he's never felt out of place with the other boys there. He is honestly grateful for his help with their situation, especially since it meant somewhat taking on another kid in his home after the craziness of his own--that's another thing. How the fuck do you manage to have four accidental children? Both him and his brother have a screw loose, he's sure of it. Still loves them, though.

Cousin
Isaiah
27 years old
Tony has to admit, he used to be a little too attached to Isaiah growing up. He wanted to be just like him. Nowadays their relationship has mellowed out and they're still pretty close, and he still goes to Isaiah whenever he wants advice. A little bit too uptight sometimes, but he honestly just thinks that's because he had to be the responsible one as the eldest out of all of them--and he definitely respects him for being able to survive that, because he can't stand everyone half of the time without the pressure of having to make sure they don't die or something.

Cousin
Jamie
23 years old
He's a riot, in both the good and bad ways. He's always been one of the popular ones out of them, along with Erik, but can sometimes be a major dumbass--not that Tony can judge completely, but still. For some reason, Jamie picked on him and Tye the most growing up, so they tend to argue a lot, but he's still, he supposes. If he ever needs to sneak out or anything, Jamie was the one Tony would go to, and also he can count on him to have a fun time.

Cousin
Erik
20 years old
Erik and Tony have always been pretty close, mostly because the lack of an age gap.

Cousin
Tye
19 years old
Tye is annoying. Nothing against him, but he's an annoying and spoiled brat. Still a sweet kid, though, he's just the youngest, but also had Jamie's rowdiness, and for fucks sake he would not leave things the fuck alone. It makes sense that he got really into sports, because back at home he was always trying to instigate something or rough house--listen, Tony is not a rough houser. Sometimes he envied Isaiah for moving out earlier than the rest, even if he kept in touch.
Tony's mother, Talitha, is a fallen angel. Emphasis on the "fallen" part, because it's the only explanation there is for this mess.

She and his father are soulmates. He honestly doesn't know anything about where she comes from or why she left, but she's said it was for freedom, and to find herself, or something along those lines. They met somewhere on her journey, and his dad fell pretty hard not long after they met. She apparently played him like a fiddle; after spending so much time in the world with absolutely no background and needing some sort of resources to survive, her soulmate who could provide that was the only option. Tony remembers her saying that they were never in love with the most empty expression on her face.

Their relationship was never smooth sailing, from what he hears. She never got along with the rest of the family who seemed to be really put off by her milking Samuel of all of his funds, and always disappearing somewhere. She cheated on him over and over again, and over and over again, he forgave her, even though he always had to clean up after the messes she left everywhere she went. He stopped being such a doormat after they had their kid.

Anthony was kind of a reality check for his father. He expected her to be at least somewhat of a decent mother, but she was always gone, and sometimes even used him for her own benefit when he was a child. That's all she did, use others for her benefit. Actually, she tried to sell him when he was an infant-

Well, their divorce was long coming, anyway. She didn't take the news well, though, and there was a time when she just wouldn't leave them alone, either out of anger or sadness--she set Samuel's car on fire. On two separate occasions.

She was still in and out of Tony's life growing up, fortunately more out than in. Sometimes she stopped by and Samuel would say that it would be good for Tony to have a relationship with his mom if she wasn't going to hurt him. She didn't, and at least seemed to have some sort of emotional attachment to him, fortunately. It wasn't reciprocated very much, though. Tony doesn't really like to associate himself with her.

Growing up in the mechanic shop, he always helped out because it was a family business, but he really was never that into cars. He mostly had his head in books--history books, specifically. He decided to become a teacher because he grew to like the idea after volunteering for the credit hours a couple times in high school, and why not teach his favorite subject? Tony just wants to be there for students, really, the way others have been there for him.

He chose Ravenwood Academy because it was just convenient; he wanted to meet his soulmate early on in life and determine if it would be an inconvenience like with his mother, and the school honestly was a really good one. Why not knock out two birds with one stone?
Psyche
Virtues
Creative
Tony has always been on the more imaginative side. He certainly isn't dumb, but isn't the smartest person around--but what he lacks in intellect, his brain seems to make up for in an admirable ability to think outside the box and come up with all sorts of ideas and solutions for all sorts of situations.
Down to Earth
Along with his more relaxed disposition, Tony is more level headed and sensible, and slow to both anger and overexcitement. He isn't one to be overdramatic about anything, really, even his own self confidence. It makes him humble while still not being insecure.
Compassionate
There has never been a time in his life where he did not have a big heart; being raised by the good people that raised him only furthered this trait of his. Tony is empathetic and patient with others, and always aware and appreciative when things are done for him. He's never been one to take things for granted, even if they're favors he's used to. With those he cares about, he's very loving and a little bit of a romantic, as well.
Earnest
Tony always faces people and situations with reasonable sincerity. He takes them all serious, even more absurd ones--it's not that he's an overly serious guy, he's just not one to make light out of things that aren't meant to be lighthearted in the first place. A product of this is also his unrivaled honesty; even if it were to bite him in the ass, Tony will always been painfully honest and forthcoming with others. He's always upfront about things, and knows how to own up to his own mistakes.
Brave
It's not that he is especially quick to fear things, but when he does get intimidated, it still won't stop him from moving forward. Tony has courage and boldness to match how earnestly he faces things, and is never one to back down out of worry or fear.
Vices
Judgmental
There's no nice way to say this; Tony is a bit of a judgmental dick. He forms opinions on others quite quickly, and is too stubborn to change them easily, as well. It can be something as minor as them just being annoying, but if they were to do him or a loved one wrong, don't expect forgiveness any time soon.
Harsh
When Tony doesn't like someone, he really doesn't like them. His honesty that makes him a overly blunt at times results in him being unnecessarily harsh, and that aside, he's just always been petty, both in words and in actions.
Uncouth
Just like Erik, Tony grew up with a bunch of rowdy mechanics in the middle of an urban city. Refindness is definitely not one of his strong points, nor does subtlety--like the rest of his family, he's really nosy, and a huge gossip.
Selfish
After a childhood of witnessing his father be a constant doormat to a very clearly toxic and selfish woman, Tony decided that he wouldn't let that happen. It wouldn't just affect him, but everyone around him, just like with his parents--however, him being firmed eventually developed in excess. Despite his compassion for others, Tony tends to be selfish and put himself first, sometimes excessively so.
Dense
Remember above where it said he wasn't the smartest guy around? Yeah, it was referring to his lack of social awareness. He really does not know how to keep his mouth shut when necessary and will be the last person to pick up on hints and social queues. At least his bluntness makes up for it a little, since he'll just ask explicitly.

Poh has a bit of a streetwear tomboy fashion. She prefers loose and baggy clothing with bright colors and doesn't use a lot of accessories, aside from maybe a hat or some decorations put in her hair when she gets braids. She tends to wear the same sneakers every day and has a large number of graphic t-shirts and t-shirt dresses that she's rather proud of, as well as some real nice matching sweats outfits. She has a bit of an obsession with gigantic jackets. The most make up she'll use is some gloss or chapstick on her lips, and her hair preferences are pretty versatile. She shoots for cuter styles when her hair is left natural, but when in braids, always has them thick and relatively big, but not long. She's always ready to rock some box braids or bantu knots.
History
Parents
Lauryn Burns; Montell Coleman
46; 48
Poh loves both her parents (although she has to admit, there was something in her that really hated her mother's choice of name when she was a kid...), but has always struggled to connect with them. She walked on eggshells around them when she was younger and felt uncomfortable knowing that their attitudes when they were all together was all a façade, and following their marriages, it kind of felt like the gap has widened. She never felt comfortable going to them for her troubles, and sometimes it feels like they're really out of touch with her preferences and personality as well. Still, she knows they love her and loves them just as much as her parents--it's just hard to connect.

Step Parents
Tamia Burns; Mercedes Coleman
47; 40
Whatever somewhat estranged relationship Poh has with her biological parents is only increased tenfold with both of her step mothers. They've always been nice and treated her with respect (she doubts her parents would have ever been with them if they hadn't), but it feels more like she's talking to the parents of peers when she interacts with them than step parents. She's never expressed this, either, but sometimes Mercedes says subtle words that kind imply that her home really isn't where they reside. Tamia is more welcoming, but tends to act more familiar then necessary, sometimes...

Siblings
Jayvion, Janelle Burns; Genea Peterson, Tyjah, Cedrick, Anaise Coleman
14, 11; 16, 10, 10, 6
Genea is the only one somewhat close to her age, and they're on good terms, but it's closer to a friendly peer that you don't really talk to outside of class--in her case, it's someone she sees around whenever she's staying at her Dad's place for the week. Both Jayvion and Janelle are similar, probably because all three of them are step siblings. The younger ones she's known since they were born, and understandable like her (she's always been good with kids), but just like her other family members, it's hard to feel the sense of closeness she feels most families have with each other. Sometimes being with all of them and seeing them so lively and interact with one another, including her parents, makes her feel more out of place than before. Also, Janelle is a spoiled brat.
Poetry was originally from a pretty quaint nuclear family--two married parents, a nice home, and a fish. She thought it was a happy life, but her parents didn't agree. It's a good thing she wasn't that old when they divorced, though. The fish died not too long afterwards.

She was seven years old when they ended up splitting. Both of them worked and were never lovey-dovey in the first place, at least from what she remembered--they only stayed together as long as they did for her. When she was around, they tried to keep things civil, but the walls couldn't hide everything that happened at night when she was tucked into bed. It was stressful to hear their shouts and fighting when she was trying to sleep, to the point where she would do everything she can to avoid bed time. It gained her a few punishments over the years.

It was relieving when they finally split, because anyone could see how miserable they were when they were together. Although she was uncomfortable when it was just the three of them together at once, Poh still knew they both loved her and was on good terms with both of them; they had split custody growing up, and both still loved her the same and stayed as active as they could in her life.

It took a bit, but eventually they both ended up remarrying and having their own families. There was something uncomfortable uncomfortable about hopping between two different homes that already have happy couples and their children living there. She knew they loved her, and her step family on both ends were nice, but no matter what--she just felt out of place. It didn't matter how well she got along with them.

Fortunately, her life at school made her feel less alienated. She's had her own share of social drama, but for the most part, she's had great friends and a positive social life.

She found interest in the arts and architecture, but specifically major everything she designed herself. She really liked the feeling of making things with her own hands and the satisfaction after a productive day of manual labor--it sounds bad but, listen, it just made her feel productive and she liked seeing the final product she made herself. Architecture and fashion were where her first interests were pulled, and it didn't take long before it pulled her to the theater scene.

It wasn't that Poh didn't have the talent for it, but she really just didn't have fun being on stage like she did working behind the scenes. In theater, especially with set design, she got to do things with her own hands after designing them with her own hands, something that the normal architecture field couldn't offer. She decided that it's where she wanted to go, and being the romantic she was, why not pursue it in Ravenwood and meet the love of her life in the process?
Psyche
Virtues
Intelligent
Poh is a fast learner and has a good memory. She's not the most observant all the time, but there's no doubt that she has quite the head on her shoulders. Her intelligence also carries into creativity, giving her an imaginative and resourceful mind. She's also a realist, and is objective enough to not lean towards pessimism or optimism especially.
Charismatic
Her intelligence also carries into social interaction. Poh is a very charismatic girl that can handle most social situation; she's very friendly, as well, so embraces interaction with others, and the fact that she's humorous as well only serves to add to her likability.
Compassionate
Poh has always been in close touch with her emotions. She's very self aware, and in turn, is a master at empathy--she will always have some of it to give others, and as a result, is very kind, understanding, and generous. She tends to be quick to putting others before herself.
Dedicated
This honestly cannot be said for anything other than what Poh personally feels committed to. When she cares about something, she will do everything she can for it, and always goes the extra mile. Usually, these are her personal projects and anything having to do with theater tech, because she honestly loves the career she's chosen. However, it also applies to relationships. She will go to hell and back for anyone she cares about.
Mature
Despite her chaos, Poh is actually very mature for her age--she's nonjudgmental, is able to set aside her pride, and is reasonable levelheaded.
Fearless
It's unknown where this came from, but little to nothing can make Poh afraid. Anxiety is not something she's very familiar with, and things like bugs, horror stories, etc., don't have much of an effect on her. However, her lack of familiarity with fear also means that in the rare moments they do come, she really doesn't know how to handle them.
Vices
Boisterous
Poh has always been a chaotic girl, even from her childhood. She's loud, talkative, and rowdy, and although she knows how to control herself depending on the setting, but liveliness and fun is something she always pursuits no matter what. It understandably gets excessive at times, however, and she can occasionally try the patience of others, or make not-so-smart decisions for the sake of the chaos she seems to find enjoyable.
Sensitive
A down side of her being so in touch with her emotional side is that Po tends to be pretty sensitive. Although strangers don't affect her as much, the smallest assertion from someone she cares about can bring her down. When she gets upset, it can take a little while for her to feel better.
Confrontational
It's not that she has a short temper or anything, but Poh is quick to call people out and confront issues as they come. In her eyes it's her way of keeping communication and not letting problems fester, but sometimes a better option is to diffuse the situation--and she rarely chooses that option. Not to mention, whenever she does get into arguments, she tends to be stubborn about her stance, which kind of contradicts her reasoning for confronting others in the first place. It doesn't help that she tends to be a little to blunt with her words when irked, and it only gets worse the more upset she is. Poh can be pretty brutal.
Lazy
Poh may be passionate about the things she dedicates herself to, but in all other instances, she's just lazy and terrible with time management. She tends to procrastinate unless she's invested, and rarely makes an effort--so, if she's comfortable, she will not want to move, does not like exercise, and tends to half ass things. This is when her irresponsible side comes out, because she will totally neglect her responsibilities if she doesn't feel like living up to them--well, to a reasonable extent.
Insecure
This is something Poh hides from practically everyone, but she's very insecure. Although she's loved by many and hasn't really been bullied growing up, somewhere along the line her sensitivity and tendency to be extremely self critical developed in her being insecure in herself, her capabilities, and sometimes, her appearance. This also results in her second guessing herself a lot, which causes unnecessary hesitation.
Self sacrificing
Poh's self sacrificing nature is a bit of a mix of her somewhat low self esteem and kindness. She's always been one to put others before herself, but her insecurities sort of turned it into something of her not being deserving of putting herself above others at all. Plus, her being extremely dedicated to those she cares about usually means so goes a little too far for them, often being quick to give so much of herself when not a lot of it will be given back in return.

Ezra has expensive taste and a fondness for casual streetwear. He was still raised in the suburbs, though, so it's a more filtered spin on it--rolled up jeans, many layers, high socks that are tucked beneath his pants, etc. He leans towards duller colors like black, white, swamp green, navy blue, etc., and has a strange obsession with windbreakers. His hair is usually in locs or medium twists, and is usually dyed blonde. He has pretty good style in general, but also likes to keep up on the latest trends and dress accordingly.
History
Mom
Fabienne
53 years old
Fabienne is a little strict, but at the same time, seems to think he really could do no wrong--she has trouble thinking of Ezra as an adult as he grows up and continuously thinks of him as her baby boy, and he doesn't mind because it kind of helps him get off the hook with things. As long as he keeps up manners in social situations and doesn't embarrass or disrespect her, it's rare for her to get mad at him, and it's not as though Ezra has ever had that issue. She can be a little annoying with her constant fawning, though. Don't touch his cheeks, please, he's nineteen...

Dad
Josué
55 years old
Josué spoils him a little more than his mother, for some reason. He's more flexible and ready to spend money on Ezra, so he's the first he'll go to when he wants something. At the same time, though, he's more conservative in his feelings, and Ezra can probably count on one hand the amount of times he's heard him say "I love you" in his entire lifetime. That doesn't mean his father doesn't hold affection or neglects him, though, he's probably just stingy.

Ezra is one of those guys that is very clearly the way he is because of his shit parents.

...let's clarify. His parents are great, and he's lived a great life--"shit" means "shit people". As in, him growing up pretty well off doesn't mean he felt estranged from his parents who was always working, because they spend a decent amount of time together growing up, and he's never felt unloved. "Shit people", as in, they're the types to wreak havoc at the school after their son and his friends ganged up on a weaker student and forced them to streak while everyone recorded in social media, and somehow still won in the situation. "Shit people" as in their arrogance and terrible personality definitely translated into their kids.

Well, Ezra did diverge a little bit from his parents. He has a more--unique on the view and on morals, one with a little more self awareness and just a little less fucks to give.

There's not really much to his backstory. He's an only child (figures), has gotten pretty much everything he wanted in life and most things work out swimmingly for him. The world has yet to expand past the bubble of what he knows, but for someone reason, he seems to adapt pretty well--whether or not that will be a problem has yet to be seen.

Now he's onto attend Ravenwood Academy, partly for the connections, partly because he wants to meet his soulmate, and completely because he thinks it'll be some fun.
Psyche
Virtues
Intelligent
Ezra has always been creepily intelligent, ever since he was a kid. He's pretty average when it comes to academics, but when it comes to people--it's like he's a genius or something. He drips charisma and is almost infuriatingly observant in both social queues and on environments in general, and his memory is pretty admirable. Critical thinking is something that comes quickly for him, and he tends to be quick and swift with analyzing, and a lot of times, pretty accurate.
Confident
Self esteem has never been an issue for Ezra. He's always been confident in himself and his capabilities, but at the same time, is surprisingly humble--his actions usually lead people to think he's full of himself, but he actually is pretty self aware and doesn't think himself to be above others. His confidence also results in him not caring about what others think of him, and being able to be satisfied with just himself; when people slight him, he's quick to forgive and hardly ever holds a grudge. For the most part, that includes betrayal.
Ambitious
As influenced by his parents, Ezra is an ambitious go-getter. When he wants something, he will have it, and will achieve it. He always knows what he wants, too, since he's got enough self awareness that understanding himself is no issue, which also makes him a pretty decisive guy.
Loyal
Ezra's loyalty is very rare, but when given, little can be done to break it. Keep in mind that this doesn't mean anyone he calls his friend or ally gains his loyalty--he has to feel the emotional attachment first, and honestly, the titles he gives others does not dictate this whatsoever. He'll go to hell and back if achieved, though, and no matter how many times they screw him over, it'll be extremely difficult for him to turn his back on them.
Optimistic
Reasonable positivity is usually admirable, but in his case, the origins aren't that praiseworthy. Ezra's optimisim is purely because of his spoiled upbringing; nothing has ever not worked out for him in life so far, so why would it happen now?
Relaxed
Ezra is not easily worked up. He's got a more calm disposition and is great at calming himself down when things do end up being taken far, and he knows how to walk away and give himself a break enough to lower his stress. This means he can usually keep a leveled head, as well.
Vices
Insensitive
Empathy--no, even sympathy is something Ezra lacks. He has the spine-chilling ability to detach himself from others unless they're himself or the people he cares about. He will walk past someone groveling in pain on the floor, and the nicest thing he'll do will be hold the door open for the person behind him or let someone borrow a pencil. He will wholeheartedly tell someone to take it somewhere else if they try crying to him about something he doesn't want to listen to. The lack of care he holds for others also makes him pretty harsh with his words, as the concept of wording things nicely or keeping his judgements to himself is way beyond him.
Entitled
Once again, Ezra has hardly ever been told no, and has gotten whatever he wanted. This resulted in him being pretty spoiled and entitled; people rejecting him or not getting what he wants does not sit well with him, and when he does get what he wants, he becomes pretty possessive over it. Sharing is not his thing. Yes, this very much applies to his relationships.
Selfish
Ezra is selfish. That's all there is to it. He shamelessly puts himself first in almost every situation, and will proudly use whatever underhanded tactics he wants to get what he wants, including if that means getting rid of others in his way--sometimes, what he wants is to bother others for his amusement. This is where his very selective loyalty comes in to play, because he will turn his back on anyone he's not attached to for his own sake. He's just untrustworthy. He's manipulative as well, and has no problem using people for whatever he wants--and, once again, if what he wants is some fun, he has no issue playing around with people's feelings until he gets bored. His promiscuity is painfully present in the many broken relationships left in his wake.
Frivolous
Being the spoiled kid he is, Ezra has little concept of responsibility. He rarely takes things as seriously as they should be taken, often to his own detriment.
Crude
Although his intelligence might be beyond his years, Ezra is still a nineteen year old boy with nineteen year old boy immaturity. He has indecent humor, vulgar language, and little filter unless it benefits him to act otherwise in a certain situation (and even then, sometimes his mouth will get ahead of him).
Cowardly
Bravery is not in Ezra's vocabulary. He is quick to cower and run away when something is intimidating or if the situation isn't in his favor, because what good comes from taking responsibility for his actions? If he can avoid consequences, he's going to avoid them. If something is scary, he's going to avoid it. Flight is the safest option in fight or flight.

Markings: freckles loosely spread around her body; two on her right cheek, one on the upper left corner of her upper lip; one underneath the corner of her right eye (see image!)

Modifications: two piercings on each ear

Distinguishers: N/A

Style
Yadi has a sort of basic taste in fashion that matches whatever is trendy; not because she wants to especially fit in, she just genuinely tends to like the in-season fashion. This usually consists of a cute fitted tops of varying designs, typically solid in color. Anything from corset crop tops, to satin tanks, to fitted cardigan tops apply--but, although she likes off the shoulder tops, tends to stray away from them because strapless bras just don't do it for her. Then, a nice pair of pants (loves when they have small designs on them for some color), or occasionally skirts (tennis skirts and loose mini skirts are her favorites). During winter, she has a particular affinity for large, puffy jackets that make her feel like she's surrounded by bubble wrap. Her make up is usually kept light but with pink hues, and always has glossy, shiny lips. Her jewelry is usually kept light and doesn't go beyond earrings and the occasional thin, simple necklace. Her hair is either left loose, or slicked back with as much gel as needed.
History
Yajaira lives a life of "unfortunate" statistics.

Her parents are in the percentages of lawyers and doctors who move to a new country for a better life, only to work small and low paying jobs. Her parents are also in the percentages of divorced couples, leaving her in the percentage of split-custody children. Her home city, Chicago, is where some of the highest percentages of crime take place; her family are knee deep in the percentage of citizens with crippling student debt, and Yadi herself is in the percentage of students with a juvenile record.

Her life is undeniably intertwined with those common statistics she would see on a poster board on her way to work, or the subject of debate in some overpriced class with to meet her required credits. The concept of Yadi considering these facts to be "unfortunate", though—well, that remains to be seen.

See, her parents are doing pretty well now. Painfully average, but well. Their divorce was something that occurred early on in her childhood, and she honestly has few memories of the years before then. They were always loving and civil—at least around her—and she found it pretty neat that she got double the gifts, extended family aside. The student debt was pretty bad, she'll admit, but if it weren't for her life in Chicago, she doubted she'd have been able to find her calling, even if it got her into a bit of legal trouble.

Although Yadi has never had relationship issues with her parents, they do work a lot, and she's always been an only child; she lived far from any other extended family, and even then, there weren't members in the first place. Both her parents only had one sibling, and both of her grandparents currently still live with said siblings in the Dominican Republic.

Yadi was just as alone in school, where she was constantly picked on and struggled to make friends. She never had the heart to bring it up to her parents, who always seemed to have a lot on their plate. They lived in the same area for most of their lives, as well, so she ended up going to school each year with the same people—the bullying would only get worse over time.

It got to the point where she sought companionship and an outlet for her loneliness and frustration in less—conventional places. Yadi began skipping class, exploring around the school, and eventually the streets of Chicago. This is when she found her first crowd. Anyone else you ask will say it was the wrong one, but it was the perfect place for her.

Delinquents, by common name. Kids, all who had some sort of story, who got into all sorts of trouble. For the (then) more timid and reserved Yajaira, all of it was new and uncharted territory, but a welcomed one. She made her first friends, learned to grow a spine, how to fight back, and did just that. She began fighting back at school.

In a life that was previously uneventful, boring, and suffocating, she learned to let go, and found exhilarating outlets to all of the pent up anger and hurt that had built up over time. Petty theft wasn't her style, but the adrenaline she got running from authorities with people she valued by her side, just to erupt into a fit of laughter afterwards, was the best feeling in the world. It was unmatched.

Then, she discovered fire.

Fire was just so beautiful. It was like nothing else. It was honestly its own form of art, in her eyes; it was wild, consuming everything so quickly, from a cigarette to an abandon building. It was scorching hot, almost daring her to touch it—and, most of all, fire was warm. It sounded silly, but it was better than any blanket she had ever touched. It was comforting to feel such heat radiating near her skin. She's not just some pyromaniac psycho, here, alright? She's an artist.

Detention, suspension, and eventually juvie is what came next for a girl like Yadi. She'd heard it all—how bright and intelligent she was, just to throw it away; how the people she was with were a terrible influence; how she had so much potential to do such great things, but would end up on the streets. But, where were they when she was left bloody on the side of the school parking lot? Where were they when she was stripped of her parents' hard earned money, just barely making enough for rent, let alone for her to have something to eat for lunch? Where were they when she was ridiculed and isolated out of being able to stand her education?

Nowhere was the answer. They were nowhere. These "terrible influences" are the ones who were right beside her when she threw her first punch, listened to her cry, and hugged her when she was alone. They were there when she was bored, there when she was happy, there when she was feeling low. Just because they ruined some bullshit stores built on classist capitalism, or set some unused building on fire (God was that so exciting), or got into fights because they wouldn't take shit, suddenly they're evil? Maybe society should think about why these things happen, instead of taking it out them. Who the hell cared about such petty things, anyway? God, she's even gotten in trouble for loitering before. How the hell do you not loiter? It's just existing!

It was her parents that she cleaned up her act for. Not completely, but enough that she wasn't failing her classes and getting calls about her attendance. The first time they picked her up from the cell would be their last. She could see it tearing them up inside, because they didn't understand. That was alright, too. They had a lot on their plate, and thought all these actions were a result of some internal turmoil that would get leave her dead in the back of some ditch. Reasonable fears, she supposed, from the perspectives of people who hadn't spent the time that she had.

She stopped skipping school so much and pulled up her grades. She stopped getting involved in so much trouble, too—and that was code for Yadi just making sure she was never caught. It became a private life of hers, to enjoy the arts in her own way. She had to admit, some of her old friends did end up going off the deep end, but a couple she kept in touch with.

Unfortunately (but unsurprisingly), getting into college was a difficult feat. Her grades weren't all that special even after she attempted to pull them together, and with her unclean record, many didn't plan on taking a chance; at least, not without spending buckets of money. In fact, she had taken two years off after high school graduation just to work and save up money for school. It was then that Ravenwood accepted her, and was honestly her best bet, offering her the largest amount of scholarship (although she still had to take out a painful amount of loans), based mostly around the fact that her soulmate would be attending the school. Did she give a damn about soulmates? No.

Actually, yes—but did she think it could go anywhere? Probably not. Her private life was kept as far away from the public eye as possible, anyway, and although she wasn't always trying to keep it a secret that she had such interests, it was something she intended to keep away from most of those she became acquainted with. She didn't need anyone snitching, and honestly, the conversation that followed was bound to be an accusing one. Once again, setting things on fire was like a hobby of some sort. Maybe a passionate one, but a hobby nonetheless. She didn't harm anyone or burn the things if others (unless there was a really good reason) and she was still enjoying her life to the fullest outside of that, wasn't she?

Just remember that Yadi is not someone with unstable mental health like they'll tell you, or some unhinged psycho, or some troubled delinquent that needed therapy. She was honestly, truly like anyone else you'd meet on a normal day, just with unconventional interests. Someone with an open minded view on things—and, of course, someone who appreciated art.
Psyche
Virtues
Creative
Yadi may not be inherently book smart, but she's always thinking outside of the box, and has a big imagination. She's also able to pull this into a resourceful side of her, making up solutions with little constraints and being able to think fast on her feet.
Accepting
Yadi is someone who always approaches things with an open minded, and is a pretty understanding and flexible girl. She accepts everyone for who they are, just as she wishes she would be.
Friendly
Enough charisma to win people over is debatable, but there's no doubt that Yadi is a friendly and extroverted girl. She's pretty down to Earth, as well, and is pretty approachable; a stark contrast to how she was before she found her interests, where she was reserved and awkward.
Kind
With a gentle and generous touch, Yadi is always the first to help others.
Resilient
After everything she's been through, she's grown to be quite thick skinned. Yadi isn't easily discouraged by anything and doesn't get bothered by petty insults or gossip, and can pretty much face most things with confidence that she'll be able to handle it.
Confident
Yadi spent enough time being insecure and self deprecating throughout school. Live everyone, she still has her low days and moments of insecurities, but it's not a consistent issue and she honestly has a very healthy self esteem. She's headstrong and decisive in what she wants, and is explicit in her prioritizing of her own well being. Yadi also makes sure she takes care of herself, both mentally and physically, and will not sacrifice herself for others unless it's a dear loved one. She's decided there's nothing selfish about prioritizing herself.
Strong
Aside from mental resilience, Yadi is honestly physically fit and can really hold her own in a fight. She works out consistently, and is probably stronger than your average joe.
Positive
Yadi keeps an optimistic outlook on things, never wanting to slip into her old negative and self deprecating mind set. This trait of hers can sometimes be quite infections, as her positivity is more mellow and realistic, but still ingrained in every way she chooses to approach things.
Loyal
When Yadi grows attached to someone, she would go to hell and back, and puts them before herself without hesitation. She is constantly grateful and for anything people she values does for her, and is honestly touched when people show the same dedication she has for them back to her. She doesn't expect things out of her good deeds, but it just feels good!
Aesthete
Don't let her love of pyrotechnics fool you; Yadi is a full blown creative mind through and through, with a strong appreciation for anything and everything beautiful. And, to her, everything has at least a little bit of beauty to it.
Vices
Reticent
Despite her friendly nature, Yadi tends to be quite reserved about her feelings, specifically her negative ones. She'll share them to an extent, but it's always kept superficial. She has friendships that have been occurring for years that haven't gone beyond surface level. It's not that she has a mask on, per say, but more that she keeps people a certain arm's length away.
Dishonest
Yadi will no hesitate to lie if it seems to be the easiest route. Now, this trait of hers is pretty selective; she'll honestly tell you if you have something stuck on your teeth, or if you ask an opinion on an outfit, but could talk circles of fibs if it meant covering her own ass or for someone else. She honestly prefers to lie than to have confrontation.
Prideful
Along her newfound confidence came pride as some sort of defense mechanism. She doesn't like going out of her way for people who don't do the same, and although it seems to be a healthy use of self worth, this can sometimes fuel into her closed off nature, as she'll uncomfortable sharing intimate sides to her.
Distrustful
Yadi has trust issues, if it wasn't already apparent. She'll make friends easily, but not close connections; it's almost subconscious, the way she'll guard herself even from people she likes.
Unforgiving
This somewhat contradicts her accepting nature, but if Yadi actually manages to open up and put trust in someone, being betrayed would be the ultimate irredeemable act. This is especially true because of the blow to her pride that would hit.
Lonely
Yadi tends to get lonely easily, but restricts her clingy side out of embarrassment.
Reckless
Yadi is a thrill seeker. She's not someone who inherently thinks before she acts, but purposefully likes doing reckless things for the adrenaline rush as a way of letting off steam, or getting her mood up.
Impatient
Waiting isn't really her thing. When she waits, that means she's wasting time, and it usually means boredom—her impatience doesn't extend to temper, though. Anger isn't something that comes easy to her.
Competitive
Competitions are a great motivator for Yadi, and competitiveness always manages to up the stakes and make things more fun. Bets? Conditions? You name it, she'll be (half) jokingly smack talking in no time.
Forgetful
A lot things tend to slip Yadi's mind, for some reason. She tends to lose things a lot, and has a few more brain fart moments than usualy. Definitely the type of person to call someone and to try and see where her phone is; but she'll laugh it off after, even if it's a little embarrassing.

Hayes Family
Akira and the other spawns (and their wonderful parents)
...lots of ages...
close relationship
honestly they're more his family than hers at this point

Jay grew up with two loving parents, connected by fate. He's a middle child of four--the 3rd born, to be exact, with the other three being sisters. You can imagine the hell of having 4 women fawn over him and using him as a doll, or being yelled out for being annoying (completely valid, he often does it on purpose), and not being able to say no to the youngest, basically becoming her life-sized manikin.

He loved his family, and they were all really close. He was raised to be open minded and accepting, and although it's expressed in strange ways, Jay always wants to reflect those values and make his family proud. He's definitely a family man, and a bit of a momma's boy.

He's always had an abundance of friends, although when he was in primary/elementary school, he got bullied for certain "girly tastes" and for his sisters always being the ones to come to his rescue. As he grew older, it wasn't really much of a problem, but the odd sense of toxicity in society's standards stuck with him. He lives to challenge them.

Then, he met Akira in high school.

They hit it off after matching each other's energies, and both having broken clocks. Jay had always been quick to make friends, and it was especially nice to have one that was just as into his antics as he was--or, at least made dragging along more fun than without. They soon became best friends, to the point where they both knew each other's families, frequented each other's homes, the whole shibang.

...things complicated when he realized his undying love for her. They were very close, and honestly the idea of her being with anyone else literally
kills him. Literally. But it makes him want to kill the other person more.

Moving on, though--she's his best friend, and he loves soulmates and respects them, as he was raised to. So, he's going to be the best wingman she's got, because before anything else, he's her best friend. That's why he's decided to put his feelings on the backburner and pray that he meets his soulmate soon enough to wash away his own emotions, and support Akira in her own romantic endeavors just like she did for him. No matter what, though, he refuses to leave her side, even if it hurts. Fuck that.

In their strange but not surprising passion to find their own soulmates, Jay and Akira applied to Ravenwood Academy together. He won't ever tell her about his feelings because he knows it'll make things awkward, especially when she actually finds her soulmate, so all he can do is hope that it's a phase that passes soon.
Psyche
Virtues
Friendly
Jay can and will be friends with absolutely anyone, no matter how different the personality or how much their interests lack. He just loves making new friends and meeting new people, and doesn't like the feeling of excluding anyone from anything.
Charismatic
Social interaction is an absolutely breeze for Jay, although he isn't always as skilled at dealing with tense atmospheres. Still, he does his best to mediate and can usually be a good diffuser, even if he isn't the best--this, of course, doesn't apply to when he's part of the instigation.
Intelligent
Jay acts like a dumbass, and he's very aware of that. He quite honestly likes coming across as unintelligent, since proving people wrong is an especially fun hobby of his. It's nice to be underestimated.
Funny
It's not secret that Jay is the class clown. He's got natural humor and good timing, which only adds to his charisma.
Trustworthy
Jay is forever and always a man of his word, no matter how absurd and chaotic that word may be. Both for serious commitments and stupid declarations, Jay pulls through all the way.
Athletic
It's hard to compliment him on his stamina, but Jay definitely has admirable body coordination and naturally fast legs. Part of this is attributed to his body type, and other is doing Zumba with his Abuela.
Open-Minded
This is mostly a result of his liberal upbringing, especially given that he personally experienced bullying for not being "manly", or whatever that means. Jay is someone who's always open to a new perspective, a new experience, and new ideas.
Gentlemanly
This is definitely all on his family. Jay is the kind of guy who will keep the door open for the people behind him, even if they come in groups, and is quick to be appropriately helpful to others in a police manner. Yeah, he'll definitely crack some jokes along the way.
Empathetic
It's really easy for Jay to put himself in others' shoes in attempt to offer compassion, and he does it often. He's always offering emotional support for anyone, no matter how little he knows them.
Confident
Jay already dealt with his phase of overwhelming insecurities, and has since grown to love himself and his appearance with open arms. He'll never let it get to a point of arrogance--well, maybe sometimes, but not really!
Positive
Being optimistic was absolutely expected of Jay given his demeanor. He's easy to discourage about virtually anything, and has always been one to look at the brighter side of things.
Loving
Jay has a big heart and will always show it to people he values. He's very honest about his feelings for his friends and family, and will take it upon himself to express it, sometimes randomly
Vices
Immature
This is yet another trait that takes one glance to establish. Jay has the mentality you'd expect of a high school boy, and tends to get annoyed at dumb things, has poor priorities, and will hardly ever take the high road.
Petty
Jay's immaturity has already been established, so his spiteful tendencies aren't really surprising. He is always someone who does things just to prove people wrong or as "revenge" if he gets pissed off, and can keep quite the grudge until he feels he's gotten even.
Stubborn
Once Jay makes up his mind, it's rare for him to change it. He may be open minded, but Jay is fully aware of his sweet and accepting nature, so he often immediately thinks of himself being right and it's hard to convince him otherwise.
Nosy
Jay tends to stick himself in others' business, especially when it's a friend or family member he believes is in need of some sort of help. He also tends to gossip with others out of this nosiness, and, no, it's hardly ever out of concern.
Crude
He's always making jokes, and is also immature--it'd be pretty odd if some of them weren't a little crude and gross here and there. They're usually stupid, though, like fart or poop jokes. Something about stupidity really makes Jay crack up.
Procrastinator
Jay actually does very well in school, but he's always doing his work at the last second. He's like that with all his responsibilities, really.
Pessimistic
It's a bit contradictory, but Jay can get very bitter internally, even when he doesn't show it. Despite being a positive person, Jay can also be very pessimistic, especially when it comes to his own endeavors. He just doesn't have a lot of faith in his luck.
Hypocritical
Jay is opening minded, but stubborn. That's pretty hypocritical in and of itself--and, yes, he definitely calls people out on their stubbornness in an argument if he feels they aren't even bothering trying to listen to his perspective, but would probably do the same thing. No, isn't fully away of this, because he wholeheartedly believes "it's different".
Boastful
Attention is definitely welcomed and sometimes encouraged. Jay loves getting acknowledgement for literally anything, especially for his jokes. Laughter is enough for him, though. Other than that, he can be a bit of a show off, and it can sometimes be a little annoying.
Uncouth
Wildness is probably Jay's first trait. He quite likes chaotic environments, anyway, since they're fun, and is always a number one contributed to a loud gathering. He has some manners for the sake of being a gentleman, but please, don't ask Jay what correct fork to use, or the difference between "business" and "business casual", or when would be the correct way to refer to anyone by their last name, unless they're a teacher. Also, yes, he talks and laughs while he eats.
Flirtatious
His flirting is usually just part of his humor, and he'll flirt with anyone, no matter their gender or age. When it comes to actual flirting, he just resorts to sincerity rather than joking around, although he'll probably end up laughing after every other sentence just because he could feel awkward.
Manipulative
Jay is shamelessly cunning, and won't hesitate to take advantage of others for the sake of himself and/or loved ones. He's pretty open about this side of himself, and will make suggestions to others to make similarly morally gray standpoint and prioritize themselves. Sometimes it can be taken a step too far, because when it comes to hurting others, he won't hesitate to do so if he finds it necessary, and does it without remorse.
Vengeful
When Jay feels betrayed, or if someone he cares for is hurt, his first thought is to hurt those that were the reason for it. He would be the first to argue that, yes, revenge does feel good, and that it's satisfying to harm others when they've done the damage first.

They're the ones usually selling potions, and you can often find Witches in some sort of medical field. But she's special, and also has luck with divination.

Werewolf - Most people know what this means, people who can transform into wolves on the full moon. They can't stand wolfsbane or silver (at least according to myth) and some may even lose their minds to their bestial form. Which isn't true, the werewolves in Andre's family remain in control of their minds, can turn three days out of the month, and actually find that silver jewelry compliments them better. In their human forms, they have heightened senses, enhanced strength, and have absolutely no poker face.
