Plot

Lately there has trouble in the Silva region. People claiming they want to return to the past and how things were before. Those who want to bring back war and others things back. Leading this movement is a Team called Team Illusion, and they have decided to confront those who think they’re incorrect. They are hunting the ancient’s records of a powerful fire Pokémon that use to reign over the land called Malinshi, its said that this pokemon had the power to decide who when to the world of the dead and who returned.

Setting
​

The Silva region is one of the most northern tips of the pokemon world! Its raining most of the year and if your high enough snow. It’s a set of coast and several islands running up and down that are free to explore. The region is filled mostly with water and ice types but grass types are also around in the lower more rain forests like climate of the region.


There are the traditional eight gym leaders as well as the elite four to defeat in the same order as it has always been done.

Oceana stood in a Pokemon Center right in the middle of maple town. Her Snorunt ran around her almost panicking. The dark haired girl’s rival had almost taken out her small team of three pokemon and they were waiting for the other two.


“Could you calm down, here how about a nana bar, you like those so come on, Eira…” The girl said sliding off her seat on the red fake leather seats in the pokemon center and onto the grown there the snorunt ran around panicking. She opened her back pack and pulled out a small bar wrapped in plastic wrap. She unwrapped it and held it out to the Snorunt who quickly came over and began to eat it almost greedily. “ Misae and Bahir’ll be just fine I promise! Its not your fault!”

Maggie hugged the newborn Evee tight to her chest and fought back a tear that threatened to fall from the corner of her eye. When her grandfather had promised the egg to her for her birthday she had been ecstatic of course. She had no idea of how much work it was going to be to hatch it. The week that had passed had been a long one. She carried the egg with her everywhere she went and kept it warm. She talked to it and said how excited she was to see the Evee when at last it would hatch. Finally today it had broken free and she was able to hold her first Pokemon ever in her arms. A female Evee and as cute as could be.


After thinking long and hard about the name she would be giving her friend and partner she had finally decided. "Cherry" she exclaimed eagerly "your name is Cherry!" and Cherry must have agreed with that naming because she wagged her tail and licked Maggie's hand happily.


Maggie had already decided on the path they would take from here on. They were going on a Pokemon journey. She would travel with Cherry and take on the gym leaders! She knew it would be difficult but she also knew that it was the life she wanted and that Cherry would always be by her side. To begin with though she resolved to fight the very weak Pokemon found around the ranch and raise Cherry so that she would be strong enough to make it at least to the nearest Pokemon center.

“Alright everyone! Lets go!” Oceana said standing up and tugging her bag up with her, unclipping the two pokeballs from her shoulder strap and returning the two other pokemon. She proceeded to pick up Snorunt, bowed to Nurse Joy and then rushed out the door into the small amount of snow that had fallen outside. She ran past a small farm only to see a girl a little younger than her training with an Eevee. She walked over to the fence.


“Hey do you want to battle?” She called.

With a slight jump Maggie turned to the speaker. "Oh, uh, well my Evee is still very young..." she said softly then looked down at Cherry to find the Pokémon practically jumping with excitement. The look of confidence in those eyes were contagious. "Well we won't know until we try, right Cherry!?" Maggie said and turned to face the strange tough looking girl. "Please give me one moment to heal." she said respectfully and used a potion her grandfather had given her to mend the small bumps and bruises Cherry had gained in battling the Rattata on the farm.


She stepped into a clearing and stood opposite the other trainer with her Evee in front of her striking a battle ready pose. Win or lose she knew Cherry would trust her and listen to her without question so she had to do her best. "If you agree, since I have only one Pokémon to battle I would ask this be a one-on-one match."

"Of course, its unfair to make fight a double battle against me if you only have one Pokemon." Oceana said quickly hopping the fence. " I'm actually a new trainer on my way to Alfe town to challenge the gym! I left umbre town today after meeting professor Evergreen." she walked out to the clearing when Maggie stood. She set the Snorunt down and it quickly hid behind her as she pulled a poke ball off of her backpack. "Bahire Join us!" A Dedenne appeared a shook the snow off of itself as it landed in the half grass half snow mix.  its cheek's sparked happily as it looked up at its new trainer and then at Maggie, repeating the same motion. " Ready?" The girl asked.

Feeling slightly more comfortable she nodded and smiled earnestly. So this trainer wasn't as experienced as she seemed. Still her only battle experience were with the Rattata, Weedle, and occasional Pidove that frequented the farm. The unshaking confidence off her Pokémon gave her courage. "Yeah! Ready of not here we come!" Looking down at Cherry she shouted "Cherry, go for a Tackle!"

"Bahir, dodge it!" The girl said and the little mouse followed orders. " Tail Whip!" The girl said as the antenna pokemon followed quickly wagging its tail and ears quickly.  Oceana smiled proudly as the Dedenne followed her orders.

Cherry seemed taken aback by the wagging tail and the cute display lowered her defense. "Don't let 'em get to you girl! Two can play that game. Use your special move, CAPTIVATE!" Maggie knew the move was unusual because her grandfather had explained to her the breeding process that resulted in egg moves. Her grandfather had bred this Evee special for her to have this fairy type move.

"Okay Bahir! Thunder Shock!" The girl smiled as she watched the newly caught pokemon begin to spark as it tried to shock Cherry's Eevee.  " Don't miss!"

Cherry tried to move out of the way but the shock hit her squarely in the side. "Eeee" she shrieked and then shook her body to dispel the electricity. She lowered her head and gave her most fierce look. "Now Cherry, use Tackle!" Maggie commanded.

Bahir was almost gloating to its trainer only to get hit in the side by a tackle. "DEE" it squeaked then turning to the Eevee a little flustered.


"Tackle!" Oceana said quickly.

"Cherry!" Maggie shouted in concern as the small electric mouse tackled her and she lost her footing. She fell to the ground hard. "Cherry are you ok? Don't push yourself!" Cherry gritted her teeth and pushed herself back to her feet as her muscles quivered. "You want to continue... Ok, try for another Tackle and make it count!"
