Hello there!

My name is Calyx, I respond to any pronouns, I'm twenty-four years old, and I'm currently on break from college. With this Roleplay here, I'm looking for a small group of two to five other people though I'd be willing to open it as a persistent world of sorts if there's more interest than expected. I'm open to all kinds of players, but I'm looking for characters that are older than the average Pokémon protagonist, with characters that are at least older than sixteen. Other than that, I'm pretty flexible with what players want to play, including what kind of Pokémon they want, where they're from, etc. If there is any questions, I'd be happy to answer, but otherwise, I'm looking forward to seeing interest!

For the most part. I'm thinking of taking a persistent world approach based on how many folks are expressing interest. Possibly some kind of shared universe with threads for events (such as tournaments, exams, studying abroad, etc) while players mostly decide their own interactions. For this reason, I'm fine with players having interactions outside of the university as well.

My initial ideas have shifted quite a bit as there's a lot more focus than I was expecting. I was originally thinking of running this as a single thread Roleplay, but I'm beginning to think that creating this as a shared universe with players creating threads of their own interactions and then using group threads for story events, tournaments, studying abroad, etc., is the way to go.

I definitely want to introduce a hook and plot eventually, but I won't lie, I don't have anything yet. Definitely open to suggestions from any potential player(s) who has expressed interest though. Aside from that, I'm definitely leaning towards this being slice-of-life with action on the side. I worry about it falling into the trap of "an academy Roleplay where everyone wanders around", so my plan is introduce events as I feel content begin to stall or slow down. Definitely leaning more towards this being a character-based Roleplay with characters arcs as the main focus.

As for teams, I'm looking more for teams that can contribute to story or character growth than competitive though if someone wants to make a competitive team and pursue a program for battling or Gym Leader apprenticeship, for example, then I absolutely will not stop them.

Character sheets can be redesigned however you prefer so long as all required information is included. Some aesthetic choices are of my own choosing, but not required (ie: use of sprites, page dividers, etc). Any appearance of additional information is also completely fine.
