Pokémon Kulvi: Untethered
In a vast region filled with Pokémon, humans and even living legends, there's so many places to go, so much to see. Mountains, plains, forests, canyons, paths that will test one's limits through heat, cold, their endurance or mental fortitude. Just how far will everyone push themselves though? Will they strive to trudge throughout Kulvi for exploration, or will they take on the gym challenge and do their best to emerge victorious through the Trial Path and lastly the League? Even if their destination isn't the same, let everyone cross paths with one another and see where they end up!

Rules for Character Creation:
  • No legendaries or mythicals are allowed.
  • No shinies at the start of the RP.
  • No fanmade regions or Pokémon allowed.
  • No Mega Evolutions at the start of the RP.
  • Pokémon Levels don't matter, and each Pokémon may know as many moves as realistically possible to remember.
    • There are no rules for your starting team but I trust you to keep things reasonable.
  • Although relationships with the local Gym Leaders are allowed by locals, they cannot be part of a character's family in any way (blood-related or otherwise).
  • While you have to follow the template's instructions, feel free to format it as you please. Just try to not shift the categories around too much to keep things orderly with one another.

Name: Jet Cressfield
Age: 20
Height & Weight: 5'7" (174cm) / 143lbs (65kg)
Hometown: Unova, Nimbasa City
Personality Traits: Despite the nice smiles, Jet tends to be a pain to be around. He's cocky and arrogant, despite seeming self-aware of his own situation. He will purposefully do his best to avoid looking out for others, and will guide whoever's willing to blindly listen to him. Even so though, he does have a soft side. A confused one at that, that's hard to bring out. Maybe though, that's a good start if somebody wants to talk some sense into him and get to understand him better. Despite that dismissive front and horrible attitude though, he does listen. He simply chooses not to act out on whatever he hears... usually.
Virtues: Jet has the courage to lead away anybody who wants to follow behind him loyally. He'll do whatever he can to achieve his goals, and doesn't get downed very easily. He's confident in his abilities in battle, as well as his Pokemon's, and has no doubts he can beat anybody when push comes to shove. He finds himself too ashamed to back down from a challenge and will do whatever he can to prove himself 'stronger'.
Vices: The trainer's confidence is a bit over the top, making him get cocky more often than not, and being rather unbearable to be around. He'll mess with whoever he can just to get a rise out of them, and he can be bold enough with words to the point of upsetting others intentionally or not. Add to that his apathetic demeanor when it comes to comforting others, and if he gets on someone's bad side, it's hard to really go back. He hates relying on others and sees it as being pitied, causing him to lash out on the spot. Despite all of this behavior though, he's confused beyond belief on the inside and just puts up a facade to avoid facing it, for however long he can.

Background: Since he was a child, Jet used to get along with others pretty well. He was pretty social and somewhat scared of Pokemon, despite being a trainer now. He overcame his fear when going to a contest to watch his mother perform around the age of 9 or so, and decided to become a trainer when he saw just how friendly and welcoming they can be alongside humans. And so he studied to catch up to everybody who'd begun to delve into knowing all about Pokemon from earlier, so he could participate for a few years in Trainer school and eventually embark on his own journey.
When he was around the age of 13 and deemed ready to get going, his mother fell ill and rather than set out, Jet chose to spend as much time as he could alongside her. Sadly though, she never got better and eventually passed away, leaving him and his father in shambles. From there on out, things mellowed out and the both of them started to lose contact with one another, trying whatever they could to pick up the pieces, but to no avail. Neither of them ever truly tried to reach out to the other and close the growing gap between the two, until when he reached the age of 18, his father finally made a move.
Having cut off contact with most of his friends, Jet had turned from a sociable young kid to someone more bitter, self-centered and raw, but now? All he had was himself to count on and a Pokémon egg his father gave him in his possession. Not too long after he took it in his care, he understood what his father meant to tell him with it. It was a new start, for him and his newly hatched Pawniard. To get away from all of this, he'd even bought him a ticket for Kalos, where he could kickstart his career as a trainer and take on his first gym challenge.
Something unexpected occurred once he rolled out on his adventure though, and set him back a year or two. Now with a fresh drive to get started, he thought to head on over to Kulvi, and take his life by the reins. Jet was done settling for less, and now it was time to get back what the world took from him. "Go big, or go home it is."

Pokémon:

1661161163696.pngPawniard | Adamant Nature
Nickname: n/A
Moves: Leer, Scratch, Beat Up, Metal Claw, Fury Cutter, Quick Guard
Ability: Defiant
History: A Pawniard hatched from an egg Jet's father handed over to him when he entered adulthood. Despite being together for two years, he's not too well versed in battle, although he's very careful and loyal to his trainer. Because of this close bond he has with this Dark Type, Jet appears to rely on it fairly often.

1661161259706.pngMinior | Gentle Nature
Nickname: n/A
Moves: Defense Curl, Tackle, Rollout, Swift, Confuse Ray, Acrobatics
Ability: Shields Down
History: Just after he'd started his adventures in Kalos, he stumbled upon this peculiar star-like Pokemon stuck under some rubble in a mountainside. He helped it out and despite not intending to keep it as his own initially, he seemed to have grown on it, so it followed him around. Feeling too guilty to just let it be, he took it in and is training it as his own now.

1661161237364.pngRufflet | Jolly Nature
Nickname: n/A
Moves: Peck, Hone Claws, Wing Attack, Leer
Ability: Sheer Force
History: Once he had arrived to Kulvi, Jet took a few days wandering around Beachveil and looking near the nearby routes. On his strolls trying to get accustomed to the area, he ran into what looked like a bird Pokemon, but somewhat... unusual. Due to its distinct charm, the two of them duked it out, and the trainer came out on top, capturing it as his own. Despite his size, he seems quite formidable and dependable, even if the blond doesn't brag about it too often.

Kasey Kallisto63b7b2c29cc634fd68cccfca0dcf71e2.jpg
Age: 19
Height & Weight: 6'1” (185cm) / 180lbs (~82kg)
Hometown: Saffron City, Kanto Region

Personality Traits: Too much. He's a high-octane, self-proclaimed “kind of a bad guy” dumbass living for the thrill of battle and more than ready to cause some chaos – intentional or not. Kasey is the kind of guy who has not one, but two devils on his shoulders egging him on, and then he turns towards his devils and suggests a worse plan than the one they came up with. If you can tolerate this, he's loyal to the end. He is an outgoing and cheerful addition to any group of people, but you can be sure his presence will lower the average intelligence by a few points.

Virtues: Kasey cares deeply for friends and family, and displays an unwavering loyalty towards those he deems within either of those categories – usually friends. It's hard to add people to a family without – never mind. He's self-confident to a fault and will try to instill similar confidence in those he surrounds himself with. Especially his Pokemon. Often stating he chose his Pokemon based on the glaring weaknesses they have, which he wants to overcome alongside them.

Vices: Kasey loves fighting and lives to battle opponents stronger than himself. An uphill battle is fine, throwing yourself into certain death if there's a chance to survive is also acceptable. Another problem with this is that he will always put his current goal or objective on hold just to participate in an intense battle – no matter how pressing his current purpose is. He also considers “wild battles” to be an absolute free for all. Joining the fray alongside his Pokemon when training out in the wild on more than one occasion.

Background: Yes.
Kasey hails from Saffron City, Kanto Region, where he was raised under the oppressive, ever-watching eye of his ruthless mother. A constant pressure only alleviated slightly by the calm, peaceful nature of his at times ignorant father. Long before he was born, his father, Nicolas Varon, had already mastered his martial art and became a cornerstone of the Saffron City Fighting Dojo – believed to be a talent that would be able to stand up to Sabrina's Psychic Types. The promise of fame and recognition that would come with such a feat wasn't something the man had any interest in, but this wasn't the case for his soon-to-be wife. Enter a ruthless career woman by the name of Emilia L. Kallisto who sank her teeth into a managing position at the Fighting Dojo and quickly rose to a higher management position.

They say love makes blind, and so it did. Nicolas fell for the fighting spirit of the woman, never realizing it would willingly destroy anything in pursuit of desired fame. To this day, even with two of his children recognizing the toxicity, the man remains in love – and denial. Speaking of children, they had three in total. The eldest, Lloyd. The youngest, Winona. And the one in the middle, Kasey. All three were homeschooled and groomed to different degrees, but we'll focus on Kasey. Even though they lived within one of the busiest and largest cities in the Kanto Region, he rarely saw any of it. Practically growing up trapped within the walls of the Fighting Dojo.

He never went to get a proper education. He didn't enroll in Trainer School at the age of ten. He was groomed to be the successor of his father as a martial arts protegee along with his older brother. Now, you might think, this isn't a way for a child to grow up. You'd be right. However, Kasey knew no other life than the constant pressure of becoming a martial artist worthy of his family legacy. This was it, and this view of the world didn't change until his teenage years. Tension had been steadily rising within the family for a while before the first crack reared its head. Lloyd had become disheartened with the idea of becoming a martial artist and chose to leave for Kalos. Pursuing a career as a rancher near Camphrier Town.

No matter how their mother objected - and fought back - against the idea, Lloyd had made up his mind. He managed to get his hands on a Pigeot and left to find his own dream – not his mother's. And that was the last time they saw Lloyd. Or so their mother would have them believe. Filled with spite she has made it impossible for him to contact his family overseas and spun the tale that Lloyd had died after falling off the Pigeot supposed to ferry him across to Kalos. She was willing to instill Kasey with this grief – that would later grow into a crippling fear of heights – rather than let Lloyd speak to the family he had 'abandoned'. To this day Kasey does not know his brother is alive and well, nor was he given the time to properly mourn the loss. With Lloyd no longer in the picture, Kasey became the new primary subject of their mother's obsession. A strict, near inhumane training regime was pushed onto him where his sparring partners were replaced by Fighting-Type Pokemon with the hopes Kasey would improve faster than with a (human) partner of similar prowess. The second crack came roughly a year later...

It started as a day like any other, but it would turn out to be a turning point in Kasey's life. His future best, and only, friend Elio walked through the door accompanied by his brother Darren and the adoptive father Corbin Abernathy-Barrows - a member of the Elite 4. Kasey had never seen his mother be so accommodating to another person in his life – nor had he ever seen a single Pokemon take out that many of the Fighting Dojo's trained Pokemon. If his current progress sparring with their own Pokemon didn't please his mother, maybe a stronger sparring partner was the solution.

He approached the Pokemon, a Walrein, and studied her for a moment before turning towards the newcomers and requesting to take it on in a sparring match. They agreed and, due to the match-up, settled for a contest of strength similar to a sumo match. An entirely one-sided contest, but simultaneously the catalyst for a budding friendship. Disregarding the total defeat, Elio seemed impressed by the attempt alone. The words he spoke that day were Kasey's first taste of validation, and he internally made a pact to himself that one day he would win against that Walrein. To show he was worthy of that validation.

Of course, they would eventually have to part ways, but not without exchanging a method of contacting one another. Something Kasey's mother heavily opposed, but since there was a member of the Elite 4 present who approved of the idea there was no way she could disagree. The only thing she could do was block incoming and outgoing messages except to the number belonging to Elio – a rather desperate attempt to prevent the slimmest chance Lloyd might try to reach out through Kasey's device. Of course, she did try on one occasion to break up the two by replacing the phone assuming her son wouldn't have the number memorized – but he had memorized it.

And a good thing that he did. This phone would come to serve as the metaphorical scissors that would cut away at the strings his mother had been playing him with all these years. Talking to his friend made him see how problematic his situation was. How unhealthy his relationship with his mother had always been. He realized why his brother had tried to leave the Dojo behind. But he wouldn't go down that path. Not quite. If he left too, his younger sister would be next in line. But, if he didn't leave, the situation would never get better. Kasey spend countless nights trying to make a decision – until he reached one. Against his mother's wishes, he took the exam that would make him a registered Pokemon Trainer and passed – barely – due to there being enough questions regarding Fighting-Type Pokemon to make up for his below-average understanding of most other types. With his own Dex and a Trainer License, he was ready to set out and pursue his goal. However, this got postponed a few years on account of the Dojo, or rather his mother, having no Pokemon to spare for him to take as a partner.

Yet, this never dampened his spirit and his chance finally came when the Dojo was presented with a possible new 'member'. A trainer who clearly wanted to get rid of their Slakoth by pawning it off to the Dojo under the promise that it would evolve into a worthy addition with some training. Kasey's mom knew full well this was a false promise, but a Slakoth would be an ideal partner to set her son up for failure – forcing him to return home. She would dash that dream and crush his spirit through this useless Pokemon partner.

However, she didn't take into consideration Kasey's tenacity. Add to that the fact that he had a plan too. This partner was the last piece he needed and together they would make it work. He set out for Vermillion City with the intent to pay someone to ferry him to Pallet Town. But, not before he would get himself a permanent reminder to never let himself be used like that again. This reminder is a wrist tattoo shaped like a barcode, reminding him how his mother viewed him and his siblings, with underneath the bars a string of numbers forming the phone number of Elio, so he'd never be able to forget it.

After this, he set out for the harbor. Yet, his request was misunderstood by the workers, and Kasey didn't realize there had been a mix-up even after he boarded what was clearly a cruise ship. Two weeks, a healed tattoo, and a pleasant cruise later he would find himself disembarking at a harbor in the Kulvi Region. Onboard, he'd won over the friendship of a lost Snover with a kind offer of crushed ice to help the Ice-Type combat the heat, and with another companion added, the small group was drawn in by the abundance of people and other Pokemon flocking the area. Seeking adventure – and the Pokemon Center where he could register for the Indigo League...

Pokemon:

Slakoth ♂ __slakoth_pokemon_drawn_by_huiro__44e97cd95e50df8087c698035a924d56.png
Nickname: N/A
Moves: Feint Attack, Icy Wind, Scratch, Slack Off, Yawn
Ability: Truant
History: A hand-me-down partner left in the Saffron City Fighting Dojo's care by a trainer that didn't see any potential in him. Kasey has been working hard to lift the sloth's self-esteem and energy levels, but the results are far from noteworthy. Though it does seem Slakoth recognizes the effort of his current trainer, and because of this is highly defensive when it comes to Kasey.
Personality: Slakoth is insecure about his worth as a companion after being passed down from trainer to trainer so many times. However, he chose to hide this insecurity under a layer of hostility and rudeness. He has a deep-rooted resentment towards anyone that looks like a trainer – and isn't Kasey. Not that his feelings towards Kasey are exactly healthy. He truly fears the day that Kasey will abandon him too, and has developed some separation anxiety because of it. To ensure Kasey will not abandon him, he tries to give his trainer no reason to do so. He never questions his directions, has never spoken ill of him, and would never stray from his side.

Snover ♀ 556-5560899_i-think-theres-a-tree-in-here-snover.jpg
Nickname: N/A
Moves: Grass Whistle, Icy Wind, Mist, Powder Snow, Razor Leaf,
Ability: Snow Warning
History: A non-confrontational, slightly apprehensive Pokemon who'd gotten lost on the ship headed for the Kulvi Region. She did not seem to take the climate of the open sea well and was happy to tag along with Kasey after being bribed with the gift of crushed ice taken from the onboard bar. Whether this Snover got separated from her original trainer is unknown, but unlikely. She never attempted to search for her presumed previous trainer while on the ship.
Personality: Snover is more of a feeling than a fighting Pokemon. She doesn't enjoy the thrill of battle her trainer does but will fight if asked. If only because of an unwillingness to confront her trainer about it. She tends to feel attracted toward people – and other Pokemon - experiencing negative emotions. She will then attempt to resolve these problems to the best of her ability. Snover has made it her active duty to keep her trainer out of trouble as she feels that he oftentimes lacks a certain important and traditionally negative emotion; fear.

Suit background.pngName: William Holton

Age: 23

Height & Weight:
6’ (183 cm) / 155lbs (70 kg)

Hometown: Jubilife City, Sinnoh

Personality Traits: William is a laid-back and friendly guy. He’s amassed a fortune large enough to live out his life in comfort so he no longer takes cases he’s not interested in, favouring large scale cases that he actually needs to somewhat put his brain to work for to solve. He is, however, extremely easy to bribe into taking cases he initially declined with any and all sorts of sweets even though he has more than enough money to buy them himself.

Virtues:
William is polite and confident, fully believing in his ability as a detective. He believes that efficiency in solving cases and saving pokemon takes priority over rules and the law. Though he has only a few actual friends, most of which are his employees, he will do anything in his power to help them if necessary.

Vices: William has never been wrong in his line of work which has made him confident and arrogant to the point that he will simply ignore anyone who suggests he might be wrong while working. He has a tendency to throw his money around without a care in the world which occasionally pisses off those in a less fortunate financial position from him.

Background: William grew up in the middle of the bustling city of Jubilife in Sinnoh. From a young age he took an interest in detective work, an interest that only grew stronger when he uncovered a pokemon smuggling organisation by himself and rescued the pokemon being held captive, among which his partner Espurr.

Over the years William and Espurr worked together on countless cases, making a name for themselves as a genius human and pokemon detective duo, said to be able to solve smaller scale cases within half an hour. William also solved multiple large cases of pokemon disappearance that left the authorities completely in the dark making him famous region-wide as Sinnoh’s top detective at age 20 and earning him a small fortune.

After that he started travelling the world to see some of the sights and in hopes of finding some intriguing cases to take on, having gotten bored of the ever repeating similar cases in Sinnoh. He spent two years in Kalos solving the occasional big case in between his sightseeing and making a bit of a name for himself in that region as well, though he’s not nearly as well-known in Kalos as he is in Sinnoh.

1662795775323.png
Name: Nakano Saito
Age: 26
Height & Weight: 5'06" (167.6 cm) & 145 lbs (65.8 kg)
Appearance: Blonde hair with an undercut around her head, light grey eyes, and sun-kissed skin, she usually wears a tank top in various colors, jean shorts, and black combat boots in hotter weather; a t-shirt of varying colors, a black jacket (for when it gets chilly or windy), jeans, and black combat boots in temperate weather; and a long-sleeved shirt of varying colors, heavy-duty jeans, and black winter boots in winter weather. She always has a brown backpack that's covered in floral pink and green flowers that holds all of her items. She also has a white and black checkered belt that houses her PokeBalls, and a white lab coat when out doing research in the lab and a camouflage jacket when she’s out on field research. She has pierced ears, a scar running from the middle of her cheek down her neck from a Pokemon's Slash attack, and a scar on her stomach from when she attempted to stop a Horn Attack. She has scars on her body from training her Pokemon and using her body to block hits. Mixed lean muscle from casually working out on her journeys and training from her father.
Hometown: Accumula Town, Unova (born) | Sandgem Town, Sinnoh (lived mostly)
Personality Traits: Nakano is well known to be serious about Pokemon in general, yet friendly to most people when they approach her. She is pretty generous, giving her things away to those who she deems need them more. However, time is a bit more sacred to her and she tends to work too much. A spunky, compassionate sweetheart who likes to make others smile and calm fights through diplomacy first, fists second. She's patient enough, though has her limits. She is curious about literally everything and won’t shy away from asking plenty of questions in pursuit of knowledge. She can range between being an optimist to what she thinks is being a realist when it’s actually pessimistic when on a bad day. She doesn't much care about herself and is reckless, as she enjoys the pain inflicted upon her, but she understands that Pokemon attacks shouldn't be trifled with and does what she can to make sure everyone is alive at the end of it. She understands the complexities of the world around her and finds it difficult to stop analyzing what she has in front of her and just go with what feels right.
Virtues: Nakano is, as mentioned before, friendly and patient. She wants to be friends with everyone and has a good amount of a patience, dealing with those with a smile on her face who she'd rather not deal with. She also tends to "match" her personality to fit in with those who are different from her, so that they don't hate her, but she always tends to act more mature. She is also rather intelligent, however she may not be as wise.
Vices: Nakano doesn't mind getting hurt, and she will gladly put herself in harm's way to help someone or calm down a Pokemon. While she is patient, too much crap when she's tired or exhausted can make her snap. Her rage, while not common, still is a little terrifying because she can go from a general sweetheart to someone who won't flinch making someone cry, especially towards those she actually dislikes, making those who she "matches" her personality to confused and hurt. She also is way too analytical and has forgotten how to follow her gut instincts. Whoever thought working too much was a bad thing, but apparently it can lead to burn out and symptoms of depression, something that Nakano suffers from sometimes.
Background: Born to Bansyou and Aria as a firstborn, she was brought up in a loving family. She was taught that perseverance, determination, patience, and hard work was what drove a person to do amazing things and she was rewarded as she learned these principles in life. She was a quick academic student, taking college classes after her academia life and learning about the mythos and theories of the legends and myths of the world and what concepts they were associated with. Not only that, but she was a wonderful socialite despite her tendency to take things literally and overanalyzing everything, making her a favorite among many people. However, she grew to dislike her small-scale fame (while also fearing the public eye in mass amount), choosing to marry herself to her work once she became a researcher at the age of sixteen for Professor Rowan - or at least get there. Her constant workaholic nature has caused her depression and anxiety to form (along with her perfectionistic nature) from her teenage years, but it has not become unmanageable due to there not being a harsh enough stimulus to affect her performance poorly. The most she feels would be similar to the effects of burnout.

At the age of ten, she was given the Pokemon Pichu by her father. Throughout her academia life and that of her field trips, she’s caught other Pokemon. These include a lonely Eevee, an Arrokuda and Hatenna during her short tenure in Galar, and a Diglett. As she was doing a fossil excavation, she found an Old Amber, and promptly revivified it, bringing the Aerodactyl to life. As her Pokemon evolved and grew (except her Pichu refused to evolve), she took the gym challenge in Sinnoh, and then again in Hoenn. She realized she sucked at practical knowledge in Pokemon battles, so she found a friend in someone who journeyed with her. With their help, she managed to get all eight gym badges in Sinnoh, and then the next eight in Hoenn. However, she didn't join either of the leagues. The spotlight terrified her and she'd much prefer working in the background. At the age of eighteen, she settled to working in Sinnoh with her coworkers, making a living for herself as she became an adult.

Years went by and while her job was exciting, she was doing too much. Her parents and little brother realized she needed a break and pushed her to take a vacation. Since she was called to go on an adventure in Azoth, she decided to call William as she set her sights on Kulvi.

Pokémon:
1662796634319.pngPichu, "Chu", Female, Lightning Rod
Appearance: Being a runt, Chu’s height and weight is less than that of her species (1’00” | 30.5 cm, 4.4 lbs | 2.0 kg). Instead, she is 8 inches (20.3 cm) and weighs 3 lbs (1.4 kg). Her cheeks also look a little thicker around her electrical pouches.
Personality: Chu is naturally shy, naive and quick to run off after assessing the sound as dangerous (even if it isn't). After getting to know someone, she’ll become bubbly and mischievous, playing practical pranks on those she deems as friends and just being a happy, silly ball of fluff. She is quite emotional though, unable to control herself when feeling a strong emotion, whether negative or positive. That’s due to her more psychological baseline as a Baby Pokemon. She will be more in control of herself and be less naive if, and when, she evolves.
History: Chu was born from league-fighting Pokemon from Nakano’s father, who raised Chu from infancy. Nakano aided in taking care of not only Chu, but other Baby Pokemon he had, but found herself more attached to Chu as they grew. Nakano received Chu as a gift from her father as soon as she reached the age of 10. The two of them rarely ever separated, going through thick and thin with each other and seeing each other at their worst. They’ve had fights, they made up, they supported each other, and they have both nearly died protecting each other as they journeyed alongside each other for years. Chu had helped find the rest of Naka’s team and was a welcoming hostess to Naka’s party. Five times Chu almost evolved, and each time she refused, preferring to stay as a Pichu. Nakano always thought this strange, but thought it was a comfort thing for Chu. In fact, there were plenty of times Chu should have evolved and it would have been easier for them if she had, but Chu stayed as a Pichu not because it was comfortable and she was used to it, but because she thought their relationship as best friends would change and Nakano would regard her differently if she had evolved. She thinks they’ll be together forever, her naive mind not realizing that time exists beyond the passage of day and night and that there won’t be a forever, but a human’s lifetime and that something can just easily whisk her away from right under her nose.
Moves: Thunderbolt, Volt Switch, Electric Terrain, Charge, Thunder Wave, Flash, Helping Hand, Disarming Voice, Charm, Nasty Plot

1662797664996.pngFlareon, "Fluffy", Male, Guts
Appearance: Being an average height (2'11" | 88.9 cm) but weighing at 60 lbs | 27.2 kg (which is 8.9 lbs | 2.2 kg more than average), this Flareon is not only fluffy but rather buff for his species. He also has a lot more fur around his collar, and his tail is a little longer. Being a more battle-hardened Pokemon, he has scars on his body, concealed by his fur. He bruises and cuts more easily than those of his species, physical attacks wearing him out more than usual.
Personality: Fluffy is naturally a brooding kind of Pokemon, a little depressed and usually sulks alone. However, while they like being away from annoying people and Pokemon, he can’t stay away for long and will usually find himself being cuddled by one of Nakano’s Pokemon or Nakano herself. Which isn’t all that bad. Other than that, he likes to run, usually running away from people or Pokemon he’d rather not deal with. When he’s not trying to run from anyone though, he commonly gets into fights, thrashing about and loving the thrill of battle. Despite the emotions he struggles feeling and having a love/hate relationship with friendship and affection, starting or participating in fights is the one thing he loves most, and he occasionally uses violent methods first before anything else. However, due to this, he can resort to violence or hitting something when he feels upset or struggling to handle his emotions.
History: As an Eevee, Fluffy was built stronger, yet frailer than most Eevee. He was emotionally immature than most of the other Eevee and he didn't know how to properly conduct himself. When Nakano's class had arrived for some Pokemon collecting and having lessons outside, Nakano had found the Eevee. Thinking him fluffy, she tried to approach and hug him, only for Fluffy to attack and flee. Hurt, Nakano chased after the Pokemon, only to fall and sprain her ankle. Her crying and being isolated from her class had the Eevee think differently. Being a major tsundere, the Eevee decided to give Nakano a berry as a sort of truce but not really wanting to. As soon as he was close enough, Nakano got him in a hug. He struggled and fought, only to feel warm and fuzzy from the hug. Pouting, the Eevee decided to come along with the limping Nakano, only to be caught shortly after. For a while, Eevee was difficult with Naka, not following orders and running away every chance he got. However, as they traveled with each other and learned more about each other, Eevee realized he was being rather unfair with Nakano. Wanting to make amends, he wanted to be her steadfast protector instead. When given the choice to evolve with special stones, Eevee chose the Fire Stone, as it always reminded him of power and that's what he needed to protect Naka. With that, he became her Flareon, and he has been by her side ever since, protecting her from wild Pokemon and showing that despite his frail body and fragile emotional state, he was as determined as his trainer, which is a trait he's always admired from her.
Moves: Sunny Day, Fire Fang, Flare Blitz, Flame Charge, Fire Spin, Return, Facade, Retaliate, Strength, Protect, Superpower, Bite, Iron Tail

1662797679738.pngAerodactyl, "Aero", Male, Pressure
Appearance: Aero has a few scars on his body, but not as extensively as Fluffy. He's also a lot larger and a tad heavier due to muscle than others of his species, which makes him capable of carrying two people and their luggage. He is 6'05" (195.58 cm) and weighs 150 lbs (68.03 kg). He also usually has a saddle on his back that allows for more comfortable and secure riding.
Personality: Aero is incredibly happy. Almost all the time. It's hard to get Aero's spirits down, but as soon as they are he finds a way to be optimistic and tries to take every day one day at a time. He lives in the present, loves his power (maybe a bit vain), and is surprisingly vigilant to what's going on around him despite seemingly being oblivious. He cares a lot and, despite his scary appearance, will do his best to help someone in need or even give them a ride. He loves to fly and make amazing aerial maneuvers in the sky. If Nakano wasn't so afraid of performing in contests, he'd love to be in.
History: Aero's DNA was in an Old Amber. He doesn't remember anything of his past, besides the fact that there are these strange rectangular fixtures in the ground these humanoids run in and out of like a cave or a large tree. And there's a lot more of these strange electrical lines and incredibly giant metal birds with fixed wings that he swore was a Pokemon at first. When he was revived by this young teenage girl, he was both confused and elated he could breathe life once again. He doesn't know he died, but it feels like 'again'. Aerodactyl was actually, surprisingly, much easier to get along with than the other Pokemon Nakano had at her disposal. He quickly became a favorite of hers to use during combat, is the strongest Pokemon on her team, and knows the most moves. He has also been used as a ride as he got bigger, giving Nakano and her friends a peaceful flight through the skies.
Moves: Rock Tomb, Smack Down, Sandstorm, Wing Attack, Fly, Defog, Roost, Crunch, Iron Head, Thunder Fang, Ice Fang, Fire Fang, Psychic Fangs, Aqua Tail, Dragon Claw

1662797690605.pngBarraskewda, "Brute", Male, Swift Swim
Appearance: Brute is the average height (4'03" | 129.54 cm) and weight (66.1 lbs | 29.98 kg) of a Barraskewda and there's nothing really special with him. He's rather average looking. He can have reins on him though, which hook to a little raft Nakano may have with her (or rented from places) to ride on the waves with her Barraskewda.
Personality: Not only is Brute incredibly impatient, but also has an explosive temper. It's not hard to get him upset, but it's easy to get him to calm down. His attention span is left to be desired, but that doesn't mean he doesn't work less hard than everyone else. However, while he does like to speed around and get in fights, he doesn't actually like fighting. He prefers to peacefully swim around the lake, get into speed contests, and lug his trainer around.
History: Brute was an Arrokuda during his time in Galar. It was when a young girl had arrived on a class trip and marveled at him in the water. A little peeved that he was being stared at, he leapt out and attacked her. However, her hands were faster and she caught him with some gardening gloves she found. The two stared at each other for a few seconds before the girl smiled, kissed him, and threw him back in the water. Stunned, Brute wanted to know why she did that and followed her. Only for her to sneakily capture him. Of course, he was rather hard to deal with because of that and he'd constantly butt heads with Fluffy due to their quick tempers. However, he helped in gym fights somewhat and evolved into Barraskewda against her fight with the third Sinnoh gym leader. Since then, he's retired some from official battles and has preferred to be her chauffer across water.
Moves: Aqua Jet, Dive, Waterfall, Surf, Whirlpool, Rain Dance, Throat Chop, Agility, Poison Jab, Drill Run

1662797704096.pngDugtrio, "Douggie", Female, Arena Trap
Appearance: Douggie is surprisingly normal looking save for pink bows around each of her heads. Douggie is 2'04" (71.1 cm) and weighs 73.4 lbs (33.3 kg).
Personality: Douggie is incredibly gullible and takes things at face value without question. However, she is still incredibly sweet and has this child-like innocence that's hard to hate. She's just an adorable sweetheart who loves giving hugs and helping her trainer with her research, trapping Pokemon and testing them (sometimes gently) before letting them go. She is rather adorably weird, liking to play with other Pokemon and being slightly rough with them on accident. However, she doesn't like fighting as much as she likes showing off.
History: Douggie was a Diglett when Nakano found her. In fact, Douggie had found a broken hole in Nakano's backpack and followed her as she ate all the snacks that fell out of her pack. When Nakano settled down near her class's camp, she realized most of her food was gone and Douggie was there, staring at her, expecting more food. Excited that a Pokemon was so brazen to approach, Nakano threw a PokeBall at her and caught her. It was surprisingly fast, considering Douggie wanted to stay for food. She was the second easiest to get alone with, as she generally took people at their word. She disliked battling though, and Nakano only got her to evolve when she had gotten into trouble. Other than that, while she stays with Nakano and is decent at a battle, she prefers making herself look cute.
Moves: Dig, Earthquake, Sand Tomb, False Swipe, Cut, Shadow Claw, Aerial Ace, Rock Smash

1662797715602.pngHatterene, "Hattie", Female, Magic Bounce
Appearance: Hattie is just like every other Hatterene. 6'11" (210.8 cm) and weighing in at 11.2 lbs (5.08 kg).
Personality: Hattie is incredibly calm and serene. Nothing can break her concentration nor her patience. Despite being a Hatterene, she's used to all the loud noises, making her a lot more decently behaved during even loud urban settings. However, it still stresses her out and usually likes to hang out in her PokeBall unless needed. She is still rather curious and can be somewhat vain, preferring to keep her look at least better than the rest of those in the party. She also loves to nap.
History: As a Hatenna, she was way more curious. In fact, she had found a rather warm bag with lots of goodies to eat and play with. Sneaking inside, she was surprised when the bag was jostled and began to move on its own. Still, she ate and plated with the things inside, choosing to stay silent until a girl peeked her head into the bag to see a pastel pink and blue thing playing with her pencil. Giggling, the girl pulled her out and introduced herself and her Pichu. Seeing that the girl meant no harm, Hatenna challenged her to a fight to check her worthiness. While this practice is something Hattie doesn't do anymore, she still judges others based on battle capability. She fought Nakano and her Pichu, with Pichu having won the fight and ending in Nakano's capture of her. Since then, she's helped Nakano with her gym challenges, evolving twice for her and being the second strongest member of her team. However, she is relegated to that of healing and support since then. She still packs a wallop, however.
Moves: Future Sight, Psychic, Psyshock, Calm Mind, Heal Pulse, Light Screen, Draining Kiss, Aromatic Mist, Aromatherapy, Mystical Fire, Life Dew, Brutal Swing, Safeguard

Relationships:

William Holton - Best Friend. Having met in Sinnoh as her aspect of being a magnet for trouble caused their paths to meet multiple times, they soon grew to become friends, updating each other on what they're doing every once in a while. She's been having a crush on him as of late, since their hectic adventure in the Azoth Kingdom.

Annette Queen - Friend/Coworker. Having met in some scientific meetup, Annette's general demeanor was something like a moth to a light for Naka. Soon enough, she found herself going with Annette on a few excursions to ruins.

Elio Abernathy-Barrows - Friend. She used to babysit him when his parents were still alive and in Alola. They used to go on many adventures when their parents weren't looking, sometimes even giving Elio a new Water-Type friend in the process.

Kasey Kallisto - Coming Soon
