*Elizabeth Elric*
*August 14th*

Violet City, filled with some much of the Johto culture, traditional buildings and legends to back it up. Inside this famous city, was the famous Johto Academy. The Pokemon world was growing fast and with its growth came more dangerous, each new one trying to top the previous one. To avoid having so many people running around aimlessly with power, Pokemon and ambitions, each region has established its own academy, to help guide everyone to a better future for the well being of the world and their lives. This place became the home of Elizabeth Elric, or how the world knows her, G.

The school was big enough to be it's own separate small town, containing dorms for its students, fields for various sports, three gyms, a world breaking main hall, which contained not only the administrative offices and the world's third largest library, but all the classrooms a student could possibly need. The building stretched for several kilometers long and was ten floors high. The building was something that put even the famous Indigo League to shame. It's solar panels not only covered the famous transparent roof but the walls were made of the same glass. Except, for the restrooms of course. If the three swimming pools weren't enough, the great academy topped it all off with a first rate theater and ball room. This and more was all part of the great structure, something that wasn't easy to take in at first glance.

"Hellooooo~!" The sound of the popular streamer sounded over those around her, while her Rotomphone floated attentively in front of her, broadcasting the entire scene for all of her followers to watch. "This is my new headquarters! Remember, just because you know where I am, doesn't mean you should come visit me, privacy is important! Otherwise, Vanilla will eliminate you!" A wicked smile spread across the gamer girl while lovely Alolan Vulpix jumped on to her shoulder and barked at the camera. "She is so adorable! Likes for Vanilla, or she will bite you! Rawr!" G flashed her pearly whites at the screen, Vanilla imitading the exact same motion. "This is all for now, see you tonight, Ranking Monday! G says, stay chill!"

As soon as she finished talking, the Rotom began uploading the video to all of G's social media, allowing the internet start to take a deep breath and bring her Vulpix to her arms. The pet Pokemon earned some good pats, but G went further and beyond by snuggling with the canine Pokemon, causing Vanilla to let out a joyful yip. Elizabeth quickly began scanning the area, her icy blue eyes looking for those possible neighbors of her, scouting those who wore the same uniform as she did.

G had the casual Team Purity uniform, with her own little twist to it. The tie was a lot thinner and longer than what was promoted, but followed the color code. Her skirt was a bit shorter also, going to mid thigh. Her shoes were black boots with purple laces that matched her tie, accompanied by pitch black pantyhose. Her coat was the school one, as i should be, with the purity symbol over her right breast and the sleeves pulled up to G's elbows. Bother her wrist were decorated by bracelets, a blue and purple on her right one while a white one on her left. All of her fingers, except for her thumbs, had rings on them, some had some writing inscribed on them while others were blank, yet all were silver. She pushed back her bangs behind her ears, showing off the silver industrial piercing on her right ear and several orbital ones on her left ear, topping both off with a simple lobe piercing.

"Oops!" G watched as the paper that contained her schedule flew off into the crowd of students passing by. "Vanilla, fetch bb!"

The Vulpix let out a small howl as she leapt off G's shoulder, chasing intensively after the piece of paper, moving in between the river of students, jumping over those taking a break at some bench and even running in between the legs of some of the people walking by.

"Ladies and Gentleman, this is Principle Earl, Yesss, your dear head guidance into the world of Pokemon, mmhhmm. May I welcome you all to Johto Academy, Yes! We have so many memories to make together, so many adventures to be had and of course friendships that will last for a life time! I can't wait to see you all, watch you blossom into the best version of yourself and push this world into a brighter future! Find your dorms, meet your neighbors and see you all for a rally at 6 PM, don't be late, mhm!"

~Dolan Larch...~

Ldownload20230206225633.pngike any good story, this one begins in the morning. Hot steam filled the air and blocked the mirrors. Ever so escaping through the small open window leading outside over the terrace balcony. Toes swings out, splashing water onto the floor. Yes! A bath scene, right off the back! Bubbles covered everything and were everywhere. Well except for the foot that flicked water onto the floor but almost everything was covered. Dolan was in his bathtub with some bath balms, scented candles of lavender and he was treating himself that morning. He was gonna go out smelling and looking right! Had to if he was gonna be a god tier performer. He drank a glass of red wine he had sitting on ice next to the tub. His pokémon were outside in the field so not to interrupt his 'me time'.

Rook, the Hisui arcanine was laying on the burnt ground. Rook had made that his favorite spot. The grass that once grew where Rook made himself comfy had been burned. incinerated. It was gone and the only proof it was there was the blackened dirt that the dog had been rolling around in. It laid there comfortably. Molly the furfrou did not like being outside. She detested dirt and Dolan's wild uncivilized dog, Hank! Molly was laying on a bench so to stay clean and away from Godfrey the granbull and Hank the greavard. Godfrey and Hank were jorfully playing a game of tag. It was their favorite game of all. Hank was chasing Godfrey around. Jumping over Rook and continuing. Hank was not as nimble as Godfrey and simply trampled over Rook, as if the large arcanine dog were simply just a hill of dirt to climb over. Rook didn't react one bit and continued to lay there relaxing.

Godfrey jumped on the bench that Molly was at then leaped over her as well, which made the already irritable furfrou finally lose it. Hank ran under the bench and bumped into and knocked over the furfrou as it jumped off the bench to angrily bark at Godfrey. Hank crawled over Molly, tracking dirt on Molly's fur which immediately threw the dog into a frenzy as it angrily rolled around, desperately trying to get the dirt out. Molly began chasing the two around which turned into a fight. Hank and Godfrey treated it as a play fight, but Molly was out for blood. The three pokemon mostly chased eachother around. Exchanging a few bites and scratches here and there. It was fairly tame for the most part until Dolan came outside. He quickly stopped the fight and spent the rest of the morning washing Molly to calm her down. He styled her fur like he always did, debutante style. Molly skoffed at two energetic dogs and laid back on the bench. Dolan had also made breakfast for his pokémon and a light snack for himself to head out that morning. He'd be heading to the academy after all.

He had his uniform on and smelled slightly of rowap, kasib and belue berries. Dolan had his uniform especially sharp since it tailored to match his form better and was ironed the day before. His outfit had additional gold trim along the edges of his collar, cuffs, pockets and along the lengths of his pants. Gold and silver lined his tie and shoes. He wore a silver ring with a pink diamond and his family crest and the letter 'L' in the center of the ring.

He had seen some other students were arriving to school. Seeing all the beautiful buildings as he traveled to the school was quite the treat. so much history, and the school got a great view of it all. Dolan couldn't help but appreciate it. Especially the theatre. He had Rook by his side, and his other three pokémon in the balls on his belt. He pulled out his phone and began texting his father telling him that he had arrived at school. A rather intimidating looking bewear was outside making sure random people didn't walk in uninvited. Dolan was dressed and behaving himself. He smiled and gave the bewear a friendly gesture before entering the school. He proceeded to make his way to where the others would be. He took a seat on the third row, first chair, so Rook could sit beside him without taking up a chair. Principal Earl gave a very impressive speech, and Dolan was ready for the school year. He looked around to see who all were wearing Strike uniforms as well as whoever were wearing the other two uniforms.

~Bodie Lake...~

The sound of computer keys clicking in a small room, roughly the size of your average broom closet. It was pretty cramped too. Bodie barely had enough room to put all of her tools. In fact, she didn't even have any room for herself...! She sat atop a stack of papers. She had three computers in that room, two small 3d printers, a fax machine and various other tech devices that were stacked up and cluttering an already small room. On her lap was her laptop, on her head was her nincada, Bonny, and taking up any elbow room Bodie might have had was her scyther Banjo because it didn't wanna be alone in the hallway. There was little room for air in that small room. What little room Bodie had for air, Banjo kept taking as it wiggled around, headbutting Bodie in the side of the head.

"Hey! Heeeeey! Cut it oooouuut... Uuuughh... Almmmooooooooost! No no no no noOOOooooooooo ooooohhhhh.... Fuck! It came out warped!" Bodie complained as she was in the middle of 3d printing some parts for her soon to be robot. A few minutes later Bodie managed to squeeze out of her not so hideaway, hideaway mad lab.

"Language! and you should be getting ready to go to school soon, so get outta your pajamas, and get dressed, young lady!" Bodie's mother said.

"We're heading back to Sinnoh tonight! If you need us, call us on your pokétech!" Her dad said. Bodie rolled on the ground and laid there face down, resembling a corpse. "uuuuuggghhh... Stupid birds" Bodie muttered. Bodie got up and eventually readied herself for school. Her parents couldn't stick around to drive her to school cause they didn't wanna miss their flight back to Sinnoh. Leaving Bodie to walk to school on her own.

"It's bad enough that I gotta walk to school now" Bodie said nearly getting teary eyed as she stood outside the motel room.

"But now I gotta gooo to schooool... Here goes nothing Bonny... Wish me luck!" Bodie said wiping her tears off her cheek, looking determined.

"Sctherrrrr!!!" Banjo came out swinging its scythes at a rapid speed.

"GAAaaaaahh!" Bodie yelled, stepping backwards and falling on her bottom.

"Banjo, I think you need a rest for a little while" Bodie said pulling out Banjo's pokéball. Banjo continued to excitedly walk around dancing and swinging its scythes around, even after it was returned to its pokéball. Bodie looked at his pokéball. Banjo had a rather scratched up looking pokéball. She gave a sigh of relief before putting it onto her belt. Bodie had a slightly special uniform. Her standard uniform buttons were replaced with ones shaped like ledybas. She had a small bedazzled ariados on the back top right side of her coat and yanma on the cuffs of her coat. Her shoe strings were light green and she had a drawing of snom on her left shoe.

She looked down the street from the window and made her way downstairs. She looked down the street and began walking. She sniffled to herself a few times then lifted bonny off her head for some support. She petted her lil nincada as she headed to school. She eventually made her way to the entrance. A large imposing bewear halted her progress. She stood there staring at it for a few minutes, too scared to try walk past it. She was ready to go and clearly meant to be there, but what if it decided she didn't belong there? Was she going to hope and pray her scyther could fly them back home? Scyther didn't know how to fly home even when they were in Sinnoh. No way they'd get back home from Johto. She walked over to the door, never looking away from the bewear. She paused in front of the door, causing a random student to bump into her, causing her to bump her head against the door. *Thump!*

"Her careful!" The student said.

"Sorry! Sorry!" Bodie said before awkwardly trying to open the door. It said pull, but she kept trying to push, turn and rotate the door handle and push it like it was some sort of complicated door, before eventually pulling it open. She fiddled with her hands for a few moments before walking inside. bonny sat on Bodie's shoulder and silently stared back at the bewear, ready to strike at any moment if it threatened her trainer. Bodie shuffled off to the meeting room and took a seat on the last row, far side where she could disappear and go unnoticed.

Quentin Windstrom

The smoky, slightly ashy air of Sootopolis City was cool and crisp, but in a good way. Quentin left his house with high hopes and his Pokemon by his side, or at least running after him. Steelhead, his Lairon, caught up to him, tackling Quentin accidentally.

"Raah!" Steelhead roared playfully, getting off of his Trainer.

"Damn, buddy, you're pretty strong!" Quentin laughed, standing up, "And heavy.. Come on, guys! Let's go!" He immediately dashed for the docks, where a boat was waiting for them.

Queenie, Quentin's Seadra, leaped into the water, then swam in circles. Steelhead tried to jump in after her, but Quentin stopped him. "Hey now, you'll sink! And I don't think I can get you out of the water in time, okay? Maybe next time, I'll get you a floaty, how does that sound?"

Steelhead gave a small nod, then bounded onto the boat. While this was happening, Excalibur found his place on Quentin's back, then fell asleep.

"Hey, Queenie, are you gonna be able to swim the whole way? Because there's not really a way to get back on the boat once we launch.."

The Seadra nodded her head, she was a really good swimmer, especially after that summer's training regimen.

"All right, then. See ya when we get there!" He said, running after Steelhead onto the boat.

The journey there was rather uneventful, and so was the ride to the school. He couldn't let his Pokemon out on the train, so Quentin got bored rather quickly.

Upon arrival, Quentin let his pokemon out from their pokeballs, Steelhead and Queenie chased each other, and Excalibur again put himself on Quentin's back. The two pokemon ran after one another, slamming into trees and the bench that some people happened to be sitting on, jostling it about. Quentin ran up to them, panting. "Sorry.. they get.. a little rambunctious sometimes.."

Ahh, it's a new day, and everyone was supposed to come at this junction. For some, it was new. For others, like Noah, it was old, and it felt rather bland. He had already heard the guy's speech before and he wasn't willing to have his ears talked off about something he already heard before.

Noah was well aware of everyone around him because he'd just rather not get involved. A guy who smelled too strong of nice things with an odd looking Arcanine walked through and went into the dreaded theatre room, as well as some kid bumping into someone and hurriedly making her way to said theatre room with a Nincada on her head. His anxiety was peaking from all of these new faces and he held his five-tailed Vulpix in an arm against his chest as he surfed through his phone. The warmth of the Fire-Type soothing him as he tried to distract himself.

His Rotom, Siri, spoke to him as he scrolled down his screen, the phone having that signature red outline and the white and blue eyes at the top of the phone's border. "ZZT! You okay, Noah? ZZT!"

"Hmph... Yeah..." Noah groaned, trying to find a video or something for him to get distracted by. That was when a notification just dropped on his phone and he tapped it with his thumb, not wasting a second to see what it was.

It was that girl... G, was it? He watched some of her MOBA gameplay, but he preferred JRPGs and war games. Still, they were pretty fun to watch and he'd been a subscriber of hers for the past few months. It was when he saw the video's setting did his eyes open. Oh yeah! That was right! She was a student here, too! The Alolan Vulpix had his own Vulpix perking up immediately, his tail subtly wagging.

Wearing the god-awful unbuttoned yellow jacket and purple tie (thankful the pants and shoes were black), he looked around for G, pocketing his phone. He did see that she was in the middle of the crowd, but where was she? It was quite a lively crowd, so he didn't think he'd be able to find her.

That was when he saw a paper fly towards him and an Alolan Vulpix heading towards it. He snatched it right out of the air before it passed him by and he looked at it. The name it belonged to was... Elizabeth Elric? Who was that?

That was when he saw the Alolan Vulpix. Kneeling down and keeping his own Vulpix to his chest, he inspected the fox. She looked familiar, actually. "Ya Vanilla?" Looking up to see where the two came from, he finally spotted that signature hair. He looked back down at the Vulpix, trying to give the thing a sort-of smile. "Hey!! Elizabeth!!" He called out, waving his hand in the air with her schedule, hoping she heard his voice amongst the crowd as he started walking towards her. That's when he noticed someone with her, and an accompanying Lairon and a Seadra running around and a Doublade on his back.

Man, he just wanted to just not meet new people right about now, his Vulpix looking up at him with slight worry, her ears pinned down.

With six PokeBalls containing a slice of home and an Azurill cradled in one beefy arm, Davy walked towards the academy wearing Ignite's colors. Red jacket, orange tie, cream sweater over a white dress shirt, and white pants, the only thing that stood out was how tall and broad he was. As well as the sweet smile ever-plastered on his face.

He walked past the commotion of some wrestling Pokemon, a flyaway paper, and a girl with a guy with another guy approaching with said paper. He had no idea who any of those people are, so he just kept on walking. Trouble had already resolved itself, so it was time he moved on.

Walking into the academy, Davy looked around at the astounding size of the lobby itself. There were books everywhere. He had no hope that he'd be able to read all these books, as he was a bit of a slow reader. He walked into the theatre room and saw a young girl with a Nincada trying desperately to hide from others and a confident man with a funny looking Arcanine beside him. Approaching this man, he realized he was wearing a yellow jacket. Strike.

Were the houses supposed to mingle? Why have three houses in the same building if you weren't supposed to make friends with either? He sat behind the guy, his Azurill nuzzling into his chest and relaxing a little as there now wasn't too many people in here. Though, that was surely going to change. He decided to talk to the guy, tapping his shoulder slightly to get his attention, his eyes glancing up at his Arcanine with a smile.

His deep voice sort of reverberated around him, easily making him heard despite how soft his tone was. "Hey, couldn't help but admire your Arcanine. I don't think I've seen anything like him before. What kind of variant is he? Oh, I'm Davy, by the way. Nice to meet you." At least, he didn't forget his manners.

Joss Vanberg of Cianwood City
The lovely beaches of home and quiet coast that was Cianwood City in all its glorious, kinda quiet splendor. The occasional waves crashing, possibly even the occasional whirlpool if your lucky to really make things exciting and disturbs the rather tranquil vibes of the island town. That was home….. That was what a young blonde hair beanie wearing chill trainer named Joss was leaving, not just leaving but departing all for the school life of Johto Academy. No fishing. No beach side napping. No sand laying days under the sun while watching the clouds, catching some rays and feeling that totally rad warmth mixed with a nice a breeze. Total peace and tranquillity along side the occasional boars that would sail into the docks. Fourteen years old and now leaving behind his beloved island to return to…. School. Dress code? Ties? Suit like jackets? The vibes were quickly escaping and heading for more licious times. Who could even blame them?

Catching a ride on some random boat that happened to be heading roughly in the same direction. Joss sat with his back against the wall, the sea breeze brushing against his face as his locks hanging out from his beanie fluttered about in the soft ever cool breeze, blue eyes gazing off into the sunset wondering of nothing more then life in this moment. The simple things. The slow down, catch some air and experience the life… Life that so many would rather rush past on way to something brighter and more rich and fulfilling. Yet to the young Vanberg boy, there was nothing more rich and fulfilling then what Mother Earth and that crazy wild nature could provide. Pure amazement and joy in all its natural glory. But alas….

It wouldn’t be long before they’d reach shore and he’d be off catching another route to Johto Academy. Even sooner would he require a wardrobe change to satisfy the ever important dress code of the renowned school for all things Pokémon and such. While he would much rather stick to his comfortable loose grey shirt left unbuttoned, low resting cross upon a brown cord necklace that was freely worn around his neck and never felt tight for a moment. All the while a blue, white and grayish blue checkered coat with blue collar and lining kept him warmth enough for most occasions and certainly even the coldest of days back home that were mild, comfortable temperatures most other places and they were still quite comfortable to him as well. But that coat, a shoulder draped bag, brown wrist cord around his one wrist, blue jeans or khaki shorts with some skater sneakers when not wearing his sandals plus a trademark beanie…. That was more his dress code.

Meanwhile a little blue rather clumsy at times sight of adorableness popped its head out from Joss’s bag. The little guy had been napping for hours completely unaware of being so far from home nor what awaited them both in the coming days or hours til they arrived at the school. “Woo… wooper?!” The Pokémon yawned in question and curious of where they were now and would be off to during preferable chill and snack hours. “Hey, it’s all good little bro… You’ll see soon enough. Couldn’t have forgotten already have you?” Joss chuckled with a closed eye smile to his longtime friend and companion. “Oh, I’m kidding I’d totally have forgotten too with that food coma you went into… maybe save some for the others and slow it a tad next time, right?”

“W-Wooper….” He exhaled and nodded slowly looking toward its belly. Joss chuckled some more and raised his hand to softy rub his Woopers head with a warm smile. “No worries… We’ve all been there. It wasn’t long ago I had my own food coma, totally worth it too! Well, maybe, the contest judges and bakers of those pies weren’t too pleased…. But definitely won that pie eating contest, even if unofficially…” Joss laughed a bit more with a smile. “Who knew you could wake up to the smell of pies all around and not be welcome to a few…. Dozen or so….” Joss continued in laughter that was shared with his bag nestled pal.

As time passed and Joss managed to find his own way to the academy after many connecting paths and various ways of hitching rides on traveling boats, carts and other such forms of transportation. The duo arrived before the academy, Joss long since changed into his undesired purity uniform with trademark beanie and other minor personal accessories remaining in tact on his person, whilst he constantly tug at the collar of his shirt and specifically the tie instantly regretting ever learning how to properly wear one in the first place during such times as this… still, he was there and eventually loosened the tie a bit with his fingers so it felt more like a thicker, cloth topping necklace rather then a choking device cutting off his air. Meanwhile gazing out into the hustle and bustle of the academy grounds with all sorts of people, uniforms and Pokémon wandering about and filling the scene. Leading Joss to take a simple approach he’d head off towards some tree then sit down and simply chill while everyone else did their thing and lived their vibes. Whilst Wooper popped his head out from the bag once again to catch the announcement from the head man himself as others interacted with one another and their Pokemon all the while Joss dimmed his eyes nearly shut and moved a piece of grass about his lips while his hands act as a pillow against the tree and elbows stuck out to the sides providing a bit of a buffer to passers by during such a busy time.

Pokemon:

Dewey the sobble

Elliot's heart was pounding. The bus pulled up and stopped, opening it's doors to the school's massive front grounds. The words of his father still echoed in his mind:

He'd been seen to the airport, and his father handed him the bag.
"Do your best at school Elliot. I know you'll make me proud." Elliot had nodded, forcing himself not to stare at the bag as it was handed to him.
"You've been very good for the past while, so I hardly feel I need to say this...but Elliot, if I find out you've been anywhere near any pokemon...you will be taken from that school, and you will never be given a similar chance again, am I understood?"
"Yes father." Elliot had said obediently. Is was only when his father was far out of sight, and Elliot was sitting safely on the plane...that his bag moved.

Now Elliot walked up the central path, his sobble Dewey tucked safely in his arms. The academy towered above him, ten stories tall and stretching as far as he could see.
Maybe some kids felt school was restricting, but to Elliot...it was freedom. It was the start of a new life. Elliot had finally left his father's cloying shadow...and he had no intention of ever going back.

"I can't believe I managed to hide you from father for one whole year." Elliot told his sobble. The little creature squirmed in his arms until it had clambered up onto his shoulder.
Everywhere they looked there were pokemon!
"I hope we can both make some friends here, but most importantly, you won't have to hide anymore Dewey!"

"Sobble sob!" The pokemon replied. It seemed just as relieved as Elliot did.

The main building was even more impressive than he thought. With the glass roof and walls sunlight filtered through, dowsing everything in a brilliant warm light. It was so different from his father's old, dark mansion. Now that he was here, Elliot never wanted to go back!

A commotion broke out not far away, Elliot saw several pokemon dash about, including.
"Oh wow! And Alolan vulpix!" Elliot couldn't contain himself. He ran up grinning to the pokemon's trainer, an older girl who, at any other time would have intimidated the young boy, but not when he'd seen the alolan vulpix.
"Your pokemon is amazing! Did you catch it wild?"

Elliot glanced about to the others gathered. "All your pokemon are so cool."
Elliot himself didn't look like much. He refused to wear the expensive clothes his father had bought for him, and unless he gave his last name, likely no one would know who he was. He wore a tired old yellow sweatshirt and a matching hat. His hair was dyed a modest turquoise, with a small spot of yellow on his bangs. The shape was reminiscent of a sobble fin.
It was then he actually remembered his manners.
"My name's Elliot. This is my first day. And this is my sobble Dewey!"

Elliot helped the little sobble down so he could approach the other pokemon. The sobble was small, his skin was a deeper blue than most sobble, and he had a pointed mark on his forhead. His head fin wobbled from side to side as he walked, the long tear in it plane as day. Dewey was tentative, but showed a decent amount of confidence for a sobble.
"So um, is there an orientation, or something? I've uh...I've never been to a school like this before."

Dolan sat there observing the speech when he heard someone call for a 'Elizabeth'? Dolan didn't watch streams nor did he play video games. Except for the occasional Pokémon Crossing; New Horizons and Berry farming simulator 22. He had received a text from his father confirming that he had gotten Dolan's previous text messages. Dolan then heard a voice and looked over and noticed a rather tall fellow with a red jacket. He had noticed the man was asking him about his Arcanine.

"Why hello there...! A pleasure to meet you. This is my faithful best friend, Rook! A purebred Hisui hound from Sinnoh! My parents are dog breeders you see, and this fluffy boy comes from a long line of arcanine. At one point a whole bunch of arcanine were brought to Kanto. My papa has some of those arcanine too. You really can't go wrong with either if you ask me... I'd show you Rook's papers you were probably hoping for a more simple answer. Haha! Don't mind me. I ramble sometimes. Especially when talking about my canines" Dolan said.

Rook slowly turned its head then quickly turned around to greet the boy.

"Ruff!" Rook let out a low rumbling grunt before extending his front paw to be shuck.

"Looks like he likes you...! Oh... Looks like you have a cute little pokémon friend with you as well. It's adorable" Dolan said referencing to his Azurill.

~Bodie Lake...~

Bodie pulled out her laptop and looked down at her screen. Her attempt at blending in and hiding away was working pretty well. She began to relax more and more seeing how the others were focused on each other. Bonny made clicking sounds with her pinsirs in a sort of morse code sort of pattern that Bodie actually understood.

"What...? No. You just ate this morning. Let's see here..." Bodie said typing away as she was working on a computer program creating 3d models. The one she was working on at the moment was the schematics for a robot which resembled a scorpion. Possibly based on a skorupi. She almost chuckled, but managed to hold it in.

"Come on! We gotta get this place up and running before orientation!"

Carter chose his playlist "Start the day" and sent it to the computer terminal that sat at his bench. Through the speakers placed around the central greenhouse, an upbeat tune began to play.

"Oz-man, the sprinklers, if you would."
"Maro!" The marrowak jogged over to a panel on the wall and flipped a switch.
"Kiko! Sunny day!" His whimsicott obeyed with a gleeful squeak.

The water suddenly burst forth, creating rainbows in the fresh, new sunlight. Carter's marrowak ran for cover, but it was laughing heartily.

Carter stood back to survey his domain. Bird pokemon fluttered from tree to tree, as reare and diverse as the flora. In the bushes and shrubs bug and grass types wandered, and floating in the small artificial river than ran through the entire complex, water pokemon played.
"This is the place eh Ozzy? Who could want more than this?"

"Marromarrowak?" His marrowak asked critically.
"Oh, the homecoming dance? Well, yeah, I'm bringing you of course."
"Marro marro marrowak."
"What do you mean I need a real date this year?"
Ozzy shrugged. "Marro marro."
"I am not threatened by intimacy Osborne. Where'd you even learn that?"
"Marrowak."
"Chase wouldn't give me this lip. You know what? Maybe I will ask someone this year. Just to show you."
"Marroma."
"Oh haha, comic genius over here. Why don't you go feed the Grookey? I have to go to orientation and get the new Purity students settled in."

Carter appeared in the theatre not long after, his whimsicott Kiko attached happily to the back of his head. Standing on his shoulders, from the back it looked like he had a massive white afro. He held a small sign on a stick with team Purity's logo on it.

"Hey Purity folks! Over here! Welcome to the best team!"
"Whimsiwhii!" Kiko shouted in support.

On the somewhat aged paths of Violet City, a boy was dragging along a cart with various berries and apricorns on it, the coach had a faint blue glow to it indicating it was also being pushed along by a psychic-type Pokemon. There was a Malamar standing menacingly, occasionally moving to follow the cart, it was quite an unsettling Pokemon, although it didn't seem hostile at all. The rickety entourage passed through the school grounds, perhaps even drawing a few curious stares from newer students, but those who've been at the academy for long enough would know what is up a bit better. Alto Làahmdaiyih, the academy's very own wandering apothecary, or at least that's what he calls himself sometimes, is ready for another school year of business and herbs. It was really quite amazing how many students were interested in these products, from those who loved to battle, to contest stars, andathletes, there's nothing that the bounty of nature can't help when it comes to raising Pokemon.

The cart came to a stop as the Malamar bounced in front and began organizing the various produce loaded on it into baskets and bowls, Alto patted its tendrils gently. "Mhmm...good job, like, new year huh? That's soooo good for business, don't you think?" Cally the Malamar nodded rather regally as his trainer pulled out a sleeping Shuckle from a compartment beneath the cart, it did not stir or even showed an inkling of indication that it might wake up. Alto put up a sign that said "Drink the Shuckle" as he set the Pokemon on top of the cart. The Shuckle did not give a single damn as it slept on.

The berries and apricorns as well as other miscellaneous items were laid out in front of the academy lobby, it was the place with the most traction and the best place to set up a vendor stall. Although generally there weren't a lot of vendors allowed on school grounds, Alto was different as he sported the azure uniform (albeit a bit tattered and covered in dirt on its corners) of Team Purity. But he wondered if some annoying RAs would yell at him this year. Anyways, he sat down, still looking half-asleep as he tried to manage his cart.

"Mhmmm, yep, that one is like, super good for battling, like, it even works on humans, just put it under your tongue. Yep yep, herbal medicine, yep yep." Cally the Malamar levitated a rather large piece of energy root in front of him and quickly sliced it into pieces, wrapping the sliced root and handing it to a curious student. Alto meanwhile, was taking in the sunlight with his Amoongus that also looked half-asleep. A metallic clinking sound can be heard from near the cart. "Ohh, that's just Commy, she like, loves to play with the hammer and sickle, don't mind her." Alto said as he lazily poked at the floating fairy Pokemon, his Comfey as it floated around the cart with some hardware tools.

"Oh man, look at that vulpix, it's like, sooo pale, haha." Having a rather sparse customer base for the moment, Alto began to engage in some people-watching. "I wonder...do the bleached vulpixes like rawst berries too, like, are they still fire type? Haha." He said half-heartedly to no one in particular as he petted the shell of the sleeping Shuckle.

“Well Laurel, you’ve been here for a few years, I’m sure you know how this whole thing works.”
“Yeah yeah, help students find their dorm room, wait a couple days and then hold a big hall meeting so I can introduce myself to the students, and the common room, and the events bulletin board, I knoooooooow."

Laurel stood in the doorway of her dorm room, leaning against the door frame as she talked to the hall coordinator. She had been moved in ahead of time, as all RAs had. She had set up her blessedly private room up already, shoving the desk in the corner, lofting the bed, sticking the minifridge and the pet beds and toys under the loft. She shoved the dresser in the corner, put all her clothes away, got her kids settled into their spaces- Which mostly consisted of letting Graceon run around and familiarize himself with the space.
The professor in training set up her room, settled in, and lazed around till orientation day, at which point all the RAs were gathered and given a rundown of their duties as RAs for the big day.

"You're new to being an RA, so if you get confused at all just talk to the others. But you know, you're smart. I'm sure you can figure it out."
"I never claimed to be smart, but thank you."

On the day of orientation, Laurel got up early, grabbed some coffee and started to prepare the Purity Wing. She started to get the door decs onto the doors, put the bulletin boards together, cleaned her dorm room, and even had enough time to get Graceon's eyedrops in before giving the two furry Pokemon a bath. One of which was easier said than done. Naturally, Graceon just stoically sat there and let the water run over him, but Cherry. That pesky Espeon wailed like a cat being strangled and tried to escape multiple times before giving up and accepting her fate.
"ESP! EEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSPPPP!"
"sTop scReaMiNG you are FINE!"
"A!"
"Don't you A! me! You are constantly digging around in my trash, you smell!"
"ESPEON ESSSS!"
"I swear its like having a three-legged toddler! Look at Graceon, look at how well behaved he is!"
"MEeeeeeeHH!"
"I will not have the rest of the student body thinking I have a smelly Espeon now stop it or no more jerky!"
That caused the petite pink pokemon to clamp her mouth shut.
"...Mmmmm, god you are lucky you're so cute." Laurel remarked with a sigh, scratching the Espeon under the chin, earning a pleased purr. "Now hush, you're almost done."

With the pokemon now properly clean and smelling like overpowering, cheap lavender shampoo, Laurel put her uniform back on and sighed, grabbing her third cup of coffee for the day, grabbing Luna and making her way to orientation.

__________________________________________________________________________________________

It was the same speech as always from Principal Earl, one she was used to. She had heard it many times. She had sat with the rest of the RAs, listening to them chatter amongst themselves, with her lovely Bayleef sitting firmly at her feet, leaning her head into her trainer's lap.

When it was time to get up, the RAs scuttled out and gather their teams in three areas with the help of other senior volunteers. Laurel was honestly ready to just start shouting over the masses, completely aware that she was fully capable of such a feat, when she noticed someone carrying around a sign with the Purity likeness on it. And she recognized the man behind it.
Ughhhhh.

She strolled right on over to him, intentionally walking up behind him and standing there with one hand on her hip, and the other still holding her signature coffee cup.
"Carter.. of course you decided to volunteer to help with Orientation... Where did you even get this sign from, what is this, an airport?" Laurel chided, gesturing at the little sign in his hand with a raised eyebrow.
"A little sign ain't gonna get anyon- hello Kiko- ANYONE'S attention," Laurel said as Carter's Whimsicott immediately darted over and attached to the side of Laurel's head with a happy purr to which Laurel took the grass type in her hands and casually covered the little thing's ears. "Here, lemme show you."

"HEY!! EVERYBODY IN TEAM PURITY, GATHER AROUND ME, RIGHT HERE!"

The yelling turned several heads, somehow ringing out above the chatter of the group, and students dressed in blue began to filter through the crowd in the direction of Laurel and Carter. She released Whimsicott to do her own thing again. With a slight clearing of her throat, Laurel raised an eyebrow in Carter's direction.
"...How was your summer?"

"Excuse me! Sorry, pardon me! Coming through!" G called out, moving through the crowd of students, trying to catch up to her dear Vulpix.

At the same time, the Alolan Vulpix known as Vanilla, moved effortlessly in between the people, until her shimmering eyes caught a sight of the paper her trainer desired. As she prepared to elegantly jump and swiped it off the air, someone else caught it. The icy Pokemon sat down, looking up at the human trying to communicate with her while holding the fire variant of her species in his arms. What a nice fellow! A joyful yip escaped Vanilla as she thanked the young man for helping her secure her target.

The Purity student reached her Pokemon and to her surprise, someone that was calling her by her real name. "It's G, actually." She said, rather cold, but quickly changing her tone to a more friendly one, "Oh you caught my schedule, thank you so much!".

The streamer was about to offer her hand to the young man, but three Pokemon passing by and their trainer almost ran them over. Vanilla jumping into G's arms, trying to avoid the running Larion. G was a little bothered by the lack of control of the two, but before they could say anything, they had ran off to the theater.

"Well..." G regained her composure, once again stretching her hand out, this time though, asking for her schedule. "That was close, thank you again for catching my-"

Another interruption stopped the gamer celebrity, noticing a tall and muscular man walk by. She couldn't help it, she simped easily for those like him! She shot him a quick glance, before turning her attention towards Noah once again. She smiled, trying to hide the fact that she just blushed at the sight of a man walking by. "Sorry, again, so many things going on at once, huh?"

Once again, G offered her hand to the boy who had obtained her precious schedule, this time looking determine to give him a proper thanks. But, it seemed fate had some other ideas, as a boy approached the pair.

"Why, yes, Vanilla is an Alolan Vulpix!' G faced Elliot, holding up her Pokemon as if she was some sort of trophy. "Isn't she the cutest? She has a special diet and brush to keep her icy coat as white as snow." She held Vanilla up to her chest again, to the Pokemon's delight, getting compliments and hugs, what a day! "Oh if you're new, you might want to head to the theater, that's where I was told to go anyways. Your Pokemon is adorable by the way, where did you get it?"

While Elizabeth was distracted with the kid, her mind snapped back to the one she had encountered first, Noah. "Sorry, I swear I'm not doing it on purpose. My name is G, I am the owner of that schedule there. Nice to meet you and your adorable Vulpix! Boy or girl?"

While G interacted with the humans, Vanilla's nose caught a scent she knew very well. Berries, and lots of them! She sniffed the air, looking around until she caught sight of a particular cart, offering all sorts of goodies! Oh if only that scary Pokemon wasn't in charge of it, she would dance her away for a snack.

Noah watched as the girl seemed to be... Extremely out of it, at least in terms of focus. The guy with the Doublade, Lairon, and Seadra had left quickly, and a really muscular guy walked by and it made him look at G with a raised eyebrow. He did take a mental note to call her G though. That was her online handle, he realized. But it was time he acted as if he didn't recognize her at first.

That was when a kid with a Sobble came by. This, he didn't have a problem with it at all. He asked some questions befitting of a kid, and that's when Noah noticed they're both wearing the same uniform. "Nice to meet ya, kid. Here." He set down his Vulpix, who looked up at him with a worried mewl before walking over to the Sobble, sniffing and yipping in greeting. "There's an orientation. Since we're in the same house, I can help ya." He shifted focus to G, having an easy smile. "You, too. This is my second year here. We're supposed to be in the theatre for the speech, then go with our senior house members 'n' RAs - short for resident assistants - to get situated in our dorms, which are separated by house, and then by gender, each dorm havin' access to a common room fer the house, but there's no restrictions to keepin' the other houses out."

He chuckled as soon as G refocused herself onto him and he gave her the schedule back. He was, at the very least, glad she took care of her Vulpix so well. "Sorry 'bout callin' ya by that name. Didn't know ye preferred G-... Wait..." He scrutinized her some more with narrowed eyes and then smiled, trying to play the part. "'Eyy, yer that streamer. Playin' those MOBA games 'n' the like. Nice to meet ya, I'm Noah. I go by Civ King online, I play a few MOBAs here and there, but I mostly just make commentatin' video game content as a vtuber. Oh, and that's Tails. He's a guy." He pointed to his Vulpix, who perked up upon hearing his name and wagged his five tails. He looked at the Alolan Vulpix and counted her tails, which was a bit difficult considering the tails looked like they were connected by all that fur. Wait... "Huh, Vulpix are supposed to have six tails? Odd..." He mused, then shrugged.

"Oh, well." He noticed a guy with a Wooper sitting off towards the side, and then saw the vendor.

Oh, that glorious vendor. He smirked, and Tails cried out happily as he saw it, too.

"Ah, before I get any questions, that's Alto. He sells roots, herbs, berries, apricorns, and other such stuff. He's pretty chill. Pretty sure he forgoes usin' the dorms though. What a weirdo." He shrugged again and looked back at G and Elliot. "So, wanna buy somethin' from him? His Malamar is actually a pretty sweet 'mon, he won't hurt ya." Well, he hoped. That thing was a bit spooky-looking.

The entire time Dolan spoke, Davy swore he's seen him somewhere before. He tapped his chin as he nodded along, trying to disguise the fact that he was staring at him pretty intensively, which he was thankful that Dolan rambled on the way he did. When he spoke of his parents being dog breeders, having been in Sinnoh, and their business reaching to Kantonian Arcanine... He attention shifted when Rook made a little grunt and held out his paw.

Smiling, he shook the Arcanine's paw, nodding his head.
"Well, hello to you too, Rook." Man, this Pokemon had such soft paws. He noticed the little black wing-like fur appendage on the side of his paw and took a glance at it. He then let go of the paw, looking down at Azu, who was now staring at Dolan with huge eyes after being called adorable.

"Yeah, this little Azurill just hatched a few days ago. Her name is Azu." He rubbed the little Azurill's ears, which prevented her from hearing anything he was about to say as she cooed and trilled rather loudly from the fuzzy, warm feelings. "The trainer who had her parents abandoned her at my family's daycare-ranch, so I've taken her as my Pokemon. I'm more about bulls like Tauros, but I don't mind having this cutie-patootie being my Pokemon." He smiled, bringing the Azurill up to nuzzle his nose in her face, making her giggle. Setting her back in his arm to cradle her, he spoke again.

"You seem really familiar. Have I seen you go against some of our clients? My family has made a habit of watching the clients we aid in our daycare system to see if their battles went well and to either offer help or congratulate them depending on if they win. You did a bunch of Sinnoh contests, yeah?" He smiled then, the pictures clicking together. "Cuz if you are, I have to say, I'm a fan. Your work and that of your Pokemon are phenomenal."

He heard a couple people yelling further away, something about calling all Purity members. He wasn't a Purity member, but he had a cheeky line he could say. He decided to wait it out though, let Dolan speak before going up there.

"Get outta town! A few days ago? Now that you mention it, I kinda see it actually. Riiiiight there. Lil sparkle in its eye...! Yes you" Dolan said said speaking to Davy but also reaffirming to Azu that he was talking about her.

"That sounds awful... Does your family own a ranch around here? I've heard of the one near Daycare Outside Goldenrod. Wasn't that place out there called the William's Ranch? Or are your folks from somewhere else...?" Dolan wondered.

"Well either way, she found a real great place by your side. She looks like the definition of good health" Dolan continued.

"Clients...? I don't do as many pokémon battles so probably no- Contests...? That sounds like something I'd do... I've gone to plenty contests so I probably have! I'm from Sinnoh and that's the place where I started my coordinator career! Ha! Small world, isn't it? That reminds me... Oooh! This one coordinator... Uuuughhh.. I can't remember her name, but she was relatively new to contests and she had the most beautiful ponyta you ever seen. She did really well for someone with such little experience!" Dolan said. Dolan was surprised by Davy's comment and was surprised to find out that the guy knew about him, all the way out here.

"My work? If your anything like your family, then you'll do great too! I think my Father complimented some cattle from near Goldenrod. Which is really saying something cause my father doesn't give praise lightly" Dolan said, still chuckling to himself. He stopped laughing to turn his head and see what the commotion was all about. He stood up and looked to see it was some Team Purity member attempting to spread house pride.

~Bodie Lake...~

Bodie looked around the room. So many people had their pokemon out. These weren't even cute little pokemon either but huge big ass scary ones. This was part of the reason why Bodie liked bugs. Bugs were usually small and she considered them cute. Bodie saw an excalibur and shuddered to herself. Such powerful claws.

Bodie nervously let out a yelp as she heard someone from team purity call out to their fellow members. Bodie's laptop shot up into the air, and Bonny went to catch it, landed on top of the laptop. The bug got a good view of the room as well as some of the people as it sat atop the laptop midair. It fell down into her lap, and Bonny landed on Bodie's head. Bodie adjusted herself then looked around as more and more people were entering the building. She wondered if anyone would notice her leave, but doubted it, so she snuck out the side door and made her way down the hall and outside and began walking around when out of the corner of her eye, she realized there was a tentacled pokemon right next to her. She hadn't been paying attention where she was walking and accidentally walked over to Alto's stand. Bodie looked at the malamar for a few moments.

"Uuuuugghhhh..." Bodie was at a loss of words.

"N-nice to meet you... This is Bonny" Bodie said holding out her nincada to greet the malamar. Bonny silently stared at the malamar, clicking her pinsirs. Bodie turned and looked at Alto. Her nincada crawled up her arm and onto her head.

"Too many people inside for you too, huh?" Bodie asked.

Alto yawned again as the customer base began to disperse, most people went inside to do the thing they do every year at the beginning of the school year. He went for the first couple of times, but it got really boring really fast, and it wasn't good to close up shop for something so trivial, plus the RAs didn't like it when he tracked dirt and...other stuff into the dorms. Most of the younger students went in, but a few older ones lingered around. Some Pokemon stared at him, or perhaps it's more apt to say they were staring at the items he was selling. The academy students' Pokemon were well-trained enough to not steal though, and most of the time his own Pokemon was enough of an intimidation factor to deter that already.

"Haha, look at the bleached vulpix, what a funny little friend." He pointed to the white vulpix that was staring his way while petting the tendrils of Cally the Malamar. It was about time his 'regular' customer based showed up, usually when the RAs were busy with the new students and wouldn't notice, and this was the perfect time as most students were in the theater. But Alto's people and Pokemon-watching escapade got cut short as a girl walked up to him with her Pokemon. It was pretty unusual that younger new students would be here at this time, they're usually in orientation or something. Someone must be malding about missing students right now, but it's not like Alto cared.

"Oh heyyyy. Hello there, small human, and small bug. Name's Alto, say hi to the small human and small bug Cally." Alto replied casually while Malamar reached out with his tendrils to shake the Nincada's pinchers. "Well like, being inside is hard for business, cus like, there's nosy people and stuff make'in it hard, and it's hard to move stuff inside." He yawned while shaking off a few leaves that fell on his head while he was daydreaming. "But welcome anyways, wanna peruse? Buying anything? Ehhh...right, I can't sell you everything though, not just yet."

Joss Vanberg- Purity Dorm
Chilling tree side beneath the full branches of leaves and sways. Eyes dimmed for a bit of momentary shuteye amidst all the hustle and chatter going around though still aware enough to hear the goings on. Meanwhile his Wooper kept a watchful, curious eye on everything even tilting his head at all the various Pokémon and humans interacting, moving all about the campus. Some kids and teens interacting with their respective kinds of vulpixs about. Others near a stand with among bug types and others seemingly offering all kinds of curious goods.

Muscular guys hanging with some trainer and his hounds. Truly a wide variety of folks and Pokémon catching the Woopers eye whilst Joss simply chilled after a long journey and let’s be honest…. Even a short walk to school and he’d likely still just chill somewhere while all the happenings of academy life went on around him. However that all turned, the Wooper noticed a sign off in the distance from where they chilled being held by a man it couldn’t recall if he knew before now or not then soon followed a loud yell over the audience of people about the campus calling for all purity students to gather around the pairing now. Bringing Joss to stir about and moan softly with a sigh…

“The call of RAAaaaa…..” The young trainer began to say with a yawn and stretch before being interrupted with a blast of water from his Wooper sending his head back into the tree without his hands present to soften the blow a bit, leaving his face and hair drenched and dripping from him. “Woop…Woop..Wooper!” The Pokémon chimed in and shook about within the bag. “Ahh…. Totally not rad little bro, I was alert and stirring. No need for the spit-take.. yeesh man, I don’t even smell either.”

Gathering himself and slowly rising to his feet, Joss stood up with one final stretch and yawn. “Wooper, Woop… Woop..Wooper!” Joss shook his head and gently patted the little guys head with a nod. “Alright, alright… I’m going. Feeling a little social after a long nap are we?” The boy spoke with a chuckle while making his way toward the pair of resident assistants. Pacing at his own rate in and out of groups of people til reaching the sign and RA pair.

“No worries little bro we made it…. Oh, I see yeah… we can the stand later. Totally.” Joss spoke responding to the head nudge from his Wooper. Then turning his head after a final gaze around the campus at the different trainers and Pokémon all of which were rather curious to him. He looked to Laurel and Carter with a smile and nod to the sign. “Yo! Nice sign…. Signal away bro-man. A beacon for the people. A…” Joss paused noticing Laurel for a moment and chuckled softly. “Whoa…. Total rad pairing you two make. The sign and the voice to call us all together? Nicely done and adorable little folks too.” He added while also referring to Whimsicott and company, then gave a momentary but seemingly long pause before continuing further to the question.

“But… yeah… Oh, summer? Riggghhttt…. It was totally, Llliiicciouusss…. Caught some rays, chilled at the beach and totally caught some clouds with occasional fishing. Oh and won a pie eating contest…sorta…” Joss answered with a constant yet soft smile and chill tone. “Oh?! And did I mention the whirlpool ride? Totally wouldn’t recommend, but seriously worth the thrill if you survive it. Wonder if a Gyarados was involved? Not that I noticed one per se, tad distracted at the time and not sure how I wound up in one, can’t recall that either. But wow, Wild stuff man.” Joss spoke chuckling.

“How about you two? Nice vaca-aay or summer jam sesh while prepping for the school year of R-A…. Ing?” He asked sincerely curious and in kind, while uncertain if RA-ing was a real thing or proper term to use to describe in his returned question. Thus his questioning brow and moment of thought to himself upon asking before shaking it off and returning attention to Carter, Laurel and their Pokémon.

Sharon parked her bike on the nearest bike stand, Maple the tinkatink was having a good time sitting inside the bike's basket and enjoying the passing breeze so she was rather disappointed when they finally arrived at their destination. Lifting her pokemon and carrying it in front of her chest like a baby, Sharon spent some time to wanders around and familiarize herself with the place. Her enrollment into the academy was, quite honestly, a mistake. A misunderstanding between her and her parents, though upon seeing how excited her mother was Sharon decided to play along and looking at where she's at now, that might be the right decision.

As she walked towards the academy's entrance, Maple tugged on her clothes and started pointing at a nearby cart full of herbal products. When Maple wants and she couldn't get it herself she would become really noisy and annoying so Sharon would need to either get what she wants or put her into a pokeball. There's still time though so there's no harm on checking the stall. She also spotted some interesting objects among the sold items.

"Yo, uncle, I want some of that yoghurt. Does it comes with the shuckle or is that sold separately?" She asked the seller while pointing at the sleeping shuckle on the cart. Meanwhile Maple just jumped on the cart and started munching on an oran berry.

"I guess I will take some berries too." Sharon smiled at her pokemon's behavior. She also noticed that the girl with a nincada next to her wore the same uniform as her.

"Hey, we're both from ignite!" Sharon's eyes lit up brightly when she finally found someone from the same team as her. "Want to do something fun before the boring orientation start?"

He felt a weight leave his shoulders as his whimsicott leapt for the other RA as soon as she saw her.
Carter recoiled in shock. "Kiko you little turncoat! Every time. Why do you feel the need to wound me so?!"
"Whimsi!" Kiko was happy to ignore her trainer and put her short little arms around Laurel's head.
Carter leveled a narrow-eyed glare at his peer. "I'll have you know I spent an hour on this sign. It's laminated."

Laurel didn't seem impressed. When she covered Kiko's ears, Carter stuffed his fingers into his own as the girl shouted at the crowd.
"Please, with all that bellowing you're making the tauros jealous."

Carter snatched Kiko back posessively when his pokemon was offered, but he looked genuinely surprised when Laurel asked about his summer.
"It was fantastic. I got to stay here and look after the green house. I finished a huge research project and it was. So. Quiet. I also got to dabble a bit more in refining scent oils from the grass-type pokemon there. If you like, I could mix some better shampoos for your pokemon, that cheap lavender stuff is almost as good as repel spray."

He gave her a haughty side-glance, but then thought better of antagonizing her further. He knew very well how scary the senior could be when she was mad for real.
"How was yours?"

Not long after someone approached them.
"Yo! Nice sign..."
The look Carter threw at Laurel was unbearably smug. "Thanks man, I made it myself."
Then Joss continued and Carter nearly choked.

"There are many words I'd use to describe our relationship," He began, looking at Laurel with overacted displeasure as he adjusted his glasses. "'Pair' is the furthest from them."
Kiko seemed pleased with her compliment, and gathered up some of her cotton fleece. She bounded out of Carter's arms to hand Joss the soft, fluffy ball.
"She does that to make friends." Carter explained. "Please take it...Sounds like you has a great summer, my summer was peaceful and distinctly void of whirlpools, but today won't be peaceful, we have a lot to get through, we'll probably start with the dorm tour, followed by the cafeteria, classrooms, sports halls and arenas, and if we have time, I'll get to show you the greenhouses!"

Carter seemed visibly more excited about the greenhouses.
"They double as a relaxing place to hang, and a place you can leave your pokemon for some down time."

He shot Laurel another judging look. "Will that plan suit the lady high queen of 'how stuff should be done'?" He was still mad about the sign.

“Here it comes!” were the words that rang out in Eva’s head as the song blaring through her headphones approached its climax. She could acutely feel the vibrations through her drumsticks as she tried her hardest to resist the temptation of speeding up the tempo to match her heartbeat. “Nice and steady now…focus on the groove…just a little longer…now!” In an instant, a surge of held back energy rushed through her arms and fingers as she hit the solo. Her hands moved intensely, almost wildly, but also with the precision that came with thousands of hours sunk into a craft. “Nailed it!” she thought as she finished the transition into the next groove, grinning to herself in exhilaration. “Now to finish strong…nice and steady on the ride…so far so—OUCH!” A sudden shock sent Eva tumbling off of her seat, drumsticks clattering to the floor.

She looked up to see her Magneton floating above her, looking very annoyed. It had been trying to get her attention for a few minutes now, and from her position, Eva gathered that it had resorted to more drastic measures. “You didn’t have to do that,” she grumbled as she picked herself up from the ground. Then, on second thought, “Mmm, well, maybe you did. Anyway, what do you want, bud?” Magneton immediately zipped towards the door and began tapping it with its appendages, eyes fixed on Eva. The doorknob rattled lightly, no doubt from magnetic interaction with the Pokemon. “Ah, so you want to go outside? Mm, I guess I could stand to go out. Pretty sure there’s an assembly of some sort later anyway. Let me get changed real quick.” Before grabbing her uniform, she took off her headphones, which were still playing music. Her ears were ringing, the skin around them sore but appreciating the sudden taste of cool air. The room was still dark, because she hadn’t bothered to open the curtains. She did so now, and squinted as the midday light stung her eyes. Then, she quickly threw on her uniform. It was just the standard red Ignite uniform. Most other students tended to add at least a little customization to their uniform, but Eva never bothered, since she spent most of her time inside anyway.

Stepping out of the building, Eva immediately felt uncomfortable. It was a lot hotter than it was back at home this time of year. Her eyes felt tired, and she wondered if they were red. Glancing at her Magneton, it seemed to her that the Pokemon was having a good time. She couldn’t imagine why a creature made out of metal could enjoy the sun so much, but nevertheless, it made her smile. They walked a little further, until Eva noticed a couple fellow Ignite members buying something from Alto, a curious fellow whom she’d known for a few years now. Well, known wasn’t quite the right word. Other than being a regular, Eva’s knowledge on Alto was mysteriously lacking. She didn’t mind getting ahold of some of his goods right now, though; they often made her improv drumming a little more unique than usual, though she sometimes hoped that it was just placebo. She ambled up to the stand, glancing at the younger Ignite students—whom she didn’t recognize, possibly because they were new, or possibly just because she was holed up in her room so often—and took a cursory look at the products. “Got anything special for me today?” she asked playfully.

"OOOOOOooooo, its laminated, I take it ALLLLLLLLLLL back, the quality of the Xerox machine is just so APPARENT, how could I miss it?! How could I miss a shiny piece of printer paper taped to a paint stick!" Laurel exclaimed, pretending to be impressed by the effort he went to, "You want a pat on the back, too while you're at it?"

"First of all, the shampoo isn't that bad, dickhead. Second of all, I ain't giving you money for shit. You've already taken enough from me, thanks." She snapped, eyes narrowed angrily in his direction, "third of all, Cherry actually likes the smell. Its supposed to be like... soothing or something."
She stood there and listened to him go on about what he did in the greenhouse over the summer. Right. The greenhouse. A place that she, a grass-type enthusiast, should love spending time in. Unfortunately, it is also crawling with INSECTS. The bane of Laurel's existence. Terror of her life. Literal demons, as far as she was concerned. She has stopped going to the greenhouse a long time ago. Glad that Carter at least enjoyed having that space. I guess.

"Why are you acting so surprised that I'd ask you about your summer?" She raised an eyebrow at him, crossing her arms and frowning sourly, "I'm just trying to be pleasant."
She added quietly, under her breath, "My therapist says that I need to be more personable..."
"...My summer was fine. Just moved back in with Elm and helped him around the lab. I'll basically be doing what he does someday anyway, so its important I know how that works." She said, looking up into the sky and looking around at the clouds and the Pidgey that flew by overhead. "I also spent some time in the Ruins of Alph, down in the underground areas, translating the script, making notes. The History of Johto is actually kind of fascinating."

Right then, a blue-wearing student appeared, complimenting Carter's sign, earning a smug look from him, and an eye-roll from Laurel. She got in between Carter and the blond kid, grabbing the clipboard that Luna had been carrying on her back, pulling the pen off her sleeve and clicking it.
"Yeah, we're not a pair of anything," She said, matter of factly with a blank face. "Alright, great, so can I have your name for attendance?"

When Carter hissed something in her direction, she turned and raised an eyebrow before grinning, "I knew you would recognize me for the Queen I am. About damn time."

Then she threw her head back again and shouted again.

"HEY! IF YOU'RE IN TEAM PURITY, I'M YOUR RA, GET OVER TO ME FOR SIGN IN!"

download20230206194743.pngBodie turned as she heard a voice ask for yoghurt. She looked to see a blonde haired woman standing there.

"Team Ign- Oh... We're from the same team. My name is Bodie Lake, but you can just call me Bodie for short. What do you mean, want something...?" Bodie said confused not knowing that Alto had a business. Bodie thought to herself for a moment. Bodie remembered hearing Sharon going over and asking for yoghurt. Was she buying it from the boy with the malamar? Bodie looked over at Alto again.

"Maybe just some berry juice like situs berry juice...? My momma gave me money" Bodie said hesitantly. Slightly gesturing to her buttoned up pocket. Bonny looked down at her pocket, clicking her pinchers together before glancing back over at the malamar. Never making a sound, aside from a clicking noise, it watched unblinkingly. It's clicking was patternlike and was how Bodie communicated with it. Though Bonny only knew how to give simple messages. Bodie cleared her throat as she wasn't about to respond to Bonny in front of these people and sound like the girl that talks with bugs.

Then Bodie noticed it, and let out a small gasp. She turned her gaze towards the shuckle. Shussy. She had heard of shuckles and the bodily fluid they excrete which can be turned into juice, but she had never seen nor met anyone that actually did such practice.

"It's adorable...! And asleep... I'll let the lil guy get his beauty rest" Bodie said, blissfully unaware of the sign that said "Wake the shuckle and get fuckled". She then heard Eva come over and at her magneton. Bodie looked at magneton with confusion. Her eyes turning to look at magneton's three different eyes on three different heads. She knew it evolved from magnemite but seeing one this close in person was a little unnerving. She gave a slight smile before looking back at Eva.

"your from Team Ignite too... N-nice to meet you as well... I didn't know there was a store on school grounds..." Bodie said.

As another younger-looking student with long blonde hair approached, Alto began to rethink his plan for just people-watching and relaxing for the remainder of the day. There were always newer students who came wandering around his shop even though orientation was going on, Alto didn't mind though, he was never the one to lecture others about such things, he didn't even know what orientations are supposed to be about.

The blonde girl, and the red-haired girl too in fact, seemed to be rather interested in Shussy the Shuckle. Alto didn't really understand, Shussy was a pretty boring Pokemon on the basis that he never did anything other than sleep, but perhaps he was so boring that it came full circle and became interesting again. Or perhaps it's just younger students acting as such. He got up, stretched a bit and noticed that the sign warning people to not bother Shussy was a bit crooked. The young man straightened the sign that had a rather ominous warning painted on it and tapped it, bringing the kids' attention. "Nuh-uh, no bothering the Shuckle, like, mannnn, even I have rules, ya know?" Honestly, Alto didn't know why he didn't want anyone bothering Shussy, he just instinctively feels like it was a bad idea.

A few berries were levitated up and dropped in a small paper bag with psychic abilities as the Malamar that was standing guard actually listened to the customers' request, but Alto wasn't not helping, there were just things that were more convenient when you got psychic powers and extendable tendrils. Instead, upon hearing the red-haired girl's request for berry juice, Alto nodded and rubbed the shell of the sleeping Shuckle a bit before rotating the Shuckle, there seem a few syrup dispenser pumps that went into the Pokemon's shell. "Mhmmm, berry juice, sitrus...and like, you're a new kid sooooo..." He muttered a bit as he picked one of the pumps to dispense some berry juice, putting it out on the cart in front of the girl. "Here you go, like, I've got regulars to serve now, yep yep

He thought it was about time, as one of the older students that he knew came around, her name was Eva or something like that, and liked to play music sometimes. "Yeahhhh, but like, not in front of the kiddos, it's your fault if people start asking questions I don't wanna answer." He yawned while massaging his neck upon hearing Eva's request, subtlety, unlike music, was a dead art nowadays.

Name: Landon Cartwright
Age: 20
Team: Purity
Gender: Male
Hometown: Lavaridge (Hoenn)

He'd been mostly taking his time again, though that was to be expected. After all, he'd had to spend the majority of the free time he had left earlier in the morning making sure everything was perfect. With his partners at his side, the ever protective Nox walking next to him openly, Landon meandered towards his destination: once more beholding the school that he hoped might give him a better chance at a future than what he'd left behind. Though, he'd never speak like that out loud himself. He had a self image to keep in mind. Stalking the now slightly familiar halls, he finally arrived where he'd meant to just in time for a shrill screech to fill the air.

'Wonderful, someone's unleashed a harpy into the school building.'

Luckily, the she-beast in question couldn't read his thoughts or else he might get a far worse tongue-lashing than just having his ears ring. As was his usual response to such things, his Smart-assery matrix kicked into overdrive as he reached up to overdramatically rub his pinky into his ear to 'clear away the noise' as he approached the gathering crowd of team Purity, giving the leader demon a look with mildly furrowed brows, muttering to himself all the while.

"Well...at least things are starting off interestingly. Would hate to be bored...though not going deaf would be nice too.."

He tried to keep his words low enough that Laurel, the loud mouth harpy in question, wouldn't hear, but who knew if he was successful or not. Nox, for his part, frowned at Landon and nudged him with an elbow. Urging his 'dad' to play nice. He desperately needed more friends, and Nox was going to make it his job to ensure it happened. He was lacking in human friends, only able to count maybe one or two school friends. Landon looked over to his floofy companion and rolled his eyes, but smiled and reached out to scratch behind his ear

"Fine, I'll play nice. You worry too much."
Nox makes 5 foot tall bipedal fox noises.
"Yes, I know, you don't have to keep going on about it... You need to stop watching those shows..."
