In the eve of World War II, the Allies prepared for the end of the war. As the tides have turned for the better, The United States prepared for the final blow and the crushing end of the Nazi regime. The plan was simple and was carefully organized, but, something else was planned in accordance. A coup was staged and executed by members of a party known as "The Grey Throne" regime. The leaders of the United Kingdom were killed, with those who pulled the coup now in control, the plan was changed, and took a turn for the worst. As the battle was raged, instead of ending the war, the forces of the United Kingdom turned on it's American Allies and eliminated the last of the Nazi regime, seizing the technology and scientific advancements from the Nazi's for themselves, therefore, ending World War II, in their image. With the end of the World War, with the betrayal and the deaths of the American forces, The US waged war against their former allies, with the latter ending in victory and the result being the conquering and occupation of the United States.
As The United Kingdom was reformed and reforged into The Steel Empire, the members of the Grey Throne regime conquered and turned the former United States into a slum and a wasteland, renaming it "The Plaguelands" by those who tolerate the occupation and continue to live in the now former United States. While the lives of those who live in the Steel Empire thrive as aristocrats and barons and nobles thanks to being born into wealth as former British, Americans who live in the floating cities of The Steel Empire are looked down upon lower than lower class citizens. To make sure the Grey Throne keep their circle of power, all knowledge of the times it was known as The "United Kingdom" were erased from history, the times of war and the fall were removed from the minds of their denizens so their civilians remain unaware of the staging of the Coup and the hostile power take over of the United States. With the threats of rebellions and resistance looming, The Empire took it upon themselves to build legendary floating cities over their former cities on the ground floating over their former land to the skies above, with the threat of Airship Pirates and Rebels still possible and existing
One said group of rebels have banded together to form a ragtag group of soldiers and freedom fighters, naming themselves "The Silver Blade." Hoping to free and end the tyranny of the "Grey Throne", these rebels have their ranks implanted in the soldiers and numbers of the Empire, using old salvaged gear, weapons and pre-war technology. With their numbers small, and their weapons and gear obsolete, The forces of the Silver Blade, despite knowing they are in a lopsided and a losing war, continue to fight for what is right. These "terrorists", so called by The Steel Empire, are nothing more than a nuisance to the Empire's power, but have recently, over the last couple of years, have become more uniform and more tactical in their assaults and attacks on the Steel Empire's forces and bases, from at first being ambushes and guerrilla attacks, evolving into full blown attacks and raids, these rebels have become more skilled.
As the war rages on, these insurgents are striving to free The Great Nation from the hands of the Steel Empire and The Grey Throne regime. Knowing that if left with no other choice to win but death, losing, is not an option.
