Plagued by a Rose [concluded]

The doctor restood, towering over Prudence.. There was about a two foot difference in height between them. His hands cupped together, and his head tilted in curiosity.

"My my.. Aren't you just adorable? Getting all huffed up at me." he broke to laugh, his posture jerking unsteadily, his feet hopping in apparent excitement. "Why you'd go so far as to bite my fingers off, I bet! Ahaha... So would I."

Now, he backed up a bit more, swishing his robes back as he looked back at Prudence. "So.. What annoys you, fraulein? I will try my hardest not to annoy you the moment we leave this town. Deal?" as if to shake on it, the Doctor held his hand out. "Youll find my services to be much to your liking.." his voice grew low, and somewhat more maniacal. "Unless of course.. The screams and cries of your enemies... Is annoying to you? What about the complete reversal of your injuries? Turning ze Undead to dust..? Any of that... Annoying!?"

Lance couldn't help but smirk with triumph as his conpliment caught Cecile off guard. He watched her stumble for an answer.

"Surely you've been told how beautiful you are by your fawning brother?" Lance teased, but quickly shut his mouth, looking quite surprised himself at his own tactlessness. He hadn't exactly meant that.. Or meant to say that.. Cursing his brain for setting off its own trap, the king turned his attention to Thornton and watched him present Kuvira to the guests. Even though it quieted, Lance remained at the edge of it all, his seemingly skittish demeanor vanishing gradually as people began to leave. The room seemed to grow larger with every departing guest, and that made him much calmer.

Lance followed Cecile to the table Thornton, Kuvira, and Troy were seated at, reluctantly at first, and despite feeling hungry, the sight of cooked food had the king slightly nauseous. He chose not to eat and hoped nobody would notice that he was pondering what was going on with himself instead of listening to the conversation.

The king was glad that the rest of the dinner passed without too much happening. When he was introduced to his chambers, he took one look at Dante's sword and the fancy sheathe made for it and smiled. Not that little half-smile he sometimes managed but a full one. It made him look much younger. Before he could manage to trust his voice enough to thank Thornton, the prince had left.

Strapping the sheathe across his back, Lance easily lifted the sword and slid it home. He'd been sure that when he first ended up here it would be the end, but it wasn't and for that he was glad.

The king set it back into place just as Thornton barged in, and the sword was halfway back out of its sheathe before Lance realized who it was. Leaning it back against the wall, Lance listened to Thornton's story.

"She has to grow up soon, Thornton, but I understand why you wouldn't want me to tell Cecile." With that, they were off to the mines. Some time was spent searching for a body that wasn't there, and Lance had absolutely no idea of what had happened, but he was more than happy to return to his chambers and sleep.

He woke a bit later than usual the next morning, still tired and having had a restless sleep, and as soon as he was dressed in his last traveling clothes with Dante's sword hanging across his back he left his room. Cecile's crest was in his hand, but he could tell as he passed the girl's door she was still asleep. He knocked gently to see if she would wake up, hoping to return it to her. A part of him wanted to keep it, but it belonged to the princess.

Maeve hadn't spoken or drawn attention to herself during the dinner and had been quite happy to stay at the edges of things, although she watched with narrowed yellow-flecked eyes as Troy continued to insult Kuvira. When the girl left, Maeve began to calm down, and while she didn't exactly want to be near Troy again she followed dutifully as Kuvira went to speak to her.

When the dinner ended and everyone returned to their rooms, Maeve disappeared into the castle roof. Finding it much more comfortable and quiet, Mawve politely asked Kalamitat to watch for threatening presences before falling asleep. Despite the winter chill, the demon also kept Maeve extremely warm; the assassin hardly felt anything.

As usual, Maeve was the first one awake. She wandered the castle gardens for a while; as Thornton and Ousin entered the garden, she caught small parts of their conversation by accident, and shook her head when she realized the grand-master was justifying Troy's actions last night. She tuned it all out from then on, knowing nothing was being conspired and being respectful even though they probably didn't know she was there. One day, Thornton might learn the signs left by Maeve when she was nearby, but it would be some time.

Yaro would place a hand on Prudence's shoulder, before mouthing. 'Allow me'. Walking over, Yaro would take the man's hand, and shake it with both of his. "I've heard of some of your work, good sir. It is an honor to meet you. Your talents are nothing short of exemplary. I am Yaro Azarus, a noble. If I were to travel with you, it'd put my mind at great ease. I must ask you excuse my companion for her asking, she is well along her pregnancy that most things disturb her greatly." Yaro said. He knew he had to be as pleasant as possible towards the male, as this person could help immensely with their current issue.

"
What a surprise though, good doctor. We're heading to Bathelon ourselves. If you were to accompany us, I'd do my best to make sure you're well compensated for your time. My friend needs the best medical help, and there is not many in the world above your skill." Yaro said. He also had to make sure the man was not going to murder him in his sleep. That would be bad as well.

AveNix would proceed to Nuzzle against Prudence's hand. When Yaro approached the male, she would lightly squeal, as she laid down on Yaro's shoulder, blowing ice flakes out of it's snout.

Osuin would nod to Thornton. "She is already here. I managed to get Lanister to convince her to come back. She REALLY doesn't want to be here...." he said, before gesturing for him to follow. He would then stop before they left, and look up. "You need to hide yourself better Maeve, I can hear your breathing. "He said, before pointing towards his.....larger than human elfin ears. Of course, he'd have better hearing than others. Osuin would then take Thornton to a different section of the training grounds.

Both Osuin and Thornton would see Ysmena training with Troy. Troy's mannerisms were different in combat....she had a almost graceful way about how she moved, and her lilac eyes danced around the field of battle. Ysmena was summoning Demonic entities to fight against her. Since they were bound, the risk was minimized. However, the strangest thing wasn't what Troy was fighting, but what Troy was doing herself.

Troy was.....
singing.

"
Every hero has to make a serious choice, fight with honor make your rivals fear your voice, die in battle to perpetuate your name, or run from danger just to live another day." Troy recited the lines that her old teacher sang to her so long ago. Outside of the battlefield, Troy was callous, uncaring, and generally obnoxious, but now on the field of battle, Troy seemed careful, determined, and mindful. To Thornton, it would appear as if she was more comfortable fighting than anywhere else. "Real hero's never fear the pain or death, Every soldier fights until their final breath, Dedicating their life to just one cause, serve the Kingdom and apply the rules and laws."

Thornton would be able to see how Troy managed to maintain a smile on her face, despite her deep-rooted hatred towards the Monarchies: She channeled ALL of her fury and hatred into fighting. She used her negative emotions to power her magic, thus giving her an edge in battle. Were she to fight against a kingdom, she'd be a fearsome enemy indeed. Though, despite this, she kept on singing.

"
Years of training giving all your blood and sweat, Getting to the point where nothing is a threat, Every battle will just be another day, every monster just another one to slay."She sang, as she would then put her sword away, sighing. She needed the time to vent herself, and fighting was the best way to. After she'd cleared the last of the monsters, She'd look towards Ysmena. "Thank you for the combat training. I needed to refresh my skills again."She said, as she sat down in the grass. She'd cross her legs, and place Muramasa's blade over her lap. Closing her eyes, she began to meditate.

Unfortunately, Lance would not get the opportunity to return Cecile's crest. His knocking would be answered with silence. The princess was in a deep state of sleep. It was her first full night's rest in the comfort of her own bed in a good while, and admittedly she had slipped a bit of rum to drink at the banquet. Cecile stirred from his knocking and grumbled quietly to herself before nestling under the blankets and going back to sleep.

Then Lance was greeted by a voice at the end of the hall; a guard was approaching. There were guards stationed at the end of each hall that guests were residing on. "Good morning, King Lance. King Thornton will see you now", he said with a bow. The guard spoke dismissively, and it was apparent that he was under instruction to not let Lance wake the princess. He respectfully began to lead Lance back to the gardens, taking no notice of the crest he carried.

Thornton was still standing with Osuin on the bridge. He observed Troy and Ysmena train as Osuin spoke. "We will learn what she knows about the curse as soon as Cecile decides to wake up...", he commented. It was then that Lance entered the room, escorted by a guard. Thornton greeted him and made his way over, "good morning, lad, I hope you found your stay welcoming", he said to him.

"I have the cure here for you", he gestured to the treasure chests, "and supplies for your journey are being prepared as we speak". @Trombone Geek

. . .

Prudence glared up at the doctor when he stood over her. She hated when men did that; she found it belittling. However, she was soon intrigued once she learned of the skills he possessed. She turned to Yaro as he touched her shoulder and allowed him to present himself to the newcomer. She was annoyed to have her actions dismissed by her pregnancy, but it was another annoying habit shared by men. By the time Yaro finished, a wide smile stretched across her lips.

"Well, well... I am impressed", she admitted. "Perhaps you could be more use to me than I anticipated."

The witch stepped closer to him now, deciding to introduce herself. "I am Prudence Welder. Make no mistake about it, doctor, I am a powerful witch. I have also been well schooled in the darker arts". She hummed to herself and began to pace around the doctor in a circle as if to better observe him. "I am the founder of the resistance, and I will soon rule this land. If you have such skills as you say, I could use your services."

She completed the circle and was now standing before the man again, waiting to see what reaction he would have. @DemetrioMachete

Heinrich seemed to jump at Yaro's presence, alarm in his posture

"Ach! Where did you come from!?" nonetheless the doctor shook his hand, tilting his head at him. "Wait.. You have heard of my underground clinic, already? Or wait.. Maybe you mistake me for another?" Klaus ley go of Yaro's hand, wiping his hands together. "Ja.. You may instead refering to ze Inquisition! Oh those were fun days.. I can still hear the screams. Not unlike music to mein ears." he dreamily seemed to back off.. Up until the Witch mentioned "darker arts". He glared upon her with sarcasm dripping off of his voice.

"Darker arts? Bah! If there are Darker Arts, then I have studied the Darkest Arts!" ...they hadnt left town yet, so he still had free reign to annoy them.

"Aheh.. Aheheh.." he rubbed the back of his head, his eyes glancing from Yaro, to the Dragon, and back to Prudence. So much had gone on just now.. So much information, he forgot to process it all. He would make no mention of Prudence being pregnant.. Nor make any referal to her ambitions of ruling the land.

"Shall we commence our travels, now?" the Doctor offered to the other two, rubbing his hands together.. A calm breeze blew through the town.. Carrying on it the sensations of cruelty.

Prudence rolled her eyes at the doctor's boastful remarks. However, she chose to ignore them. She was unwilling to cause any more trouble with the man. The witch then crossed her arms and glanced around the city streets. "We shall...", she said in answer to his question, but it was evident that she was still in thought about something.

The witch was thinking of a faster way the group could travel. It was nighttime now, and Prudence was not looking forward to walking for two days. Her feet were already often sore from carrying a fetus. When at last an idea came to Prudence a smile returned to her lips. "This way, doctor", she said as she started her way at a brisk pace down the road. The Yunakai kingdom had well kept roads, unlike many other kingdoms.

She lead the group without speaking a word to them. The city slowly turned into a more rural village, and when the group came to a large grazing field surrounded in a wooden enclosure Prudence stopped. In the distance one could see the silhouette of a small home and barn, but there were no lights in any windows. It was the home of a pegasi farmer.

Facing the two men, Prudence placed her hands on her hips. She spoke in a whisper, "an elven farmer lives here. He makes his living by raising and selling young pegasi". She gestured to the barn, where she predicted the creatures would be kept at night.

"Surely he won't mind if we "borrow" a pair of them...", Prudence muttered and began climbing the wooden fence. Quietly she crossed the field and approached the barn, expecting the two men to follow after her. Inside the barn were several pegasi. Most of the eloquent creatures were solid white, but there were two speckled in black and gray spots. The two beautiful pegasi resembled storm clouds. These were the two Prudence decided to approach. She stepped cautiously near the beasts while holding her hand out to the first pegasus.

The creature stammered and backed away with uncertainty. The flock of pegasi seemed unnerved by Prudence; perhaps they could sense the dark energy coming from her. However, Prudence showed no fear for them as she approached, finally daring to stroke the creature's snout. She continued to stroke it and move her arms to the creature's head and then to the mane. Once the pegasus appeared calm she climbed onto the horse's back. They were already saddled and well trained. She gently tugged the reins and in seconds the magnificent creature bolted from the barn in flight. The two flew around unsteadily as she got the hang of it, and once she had she steered the creature back to where the two men were standing on the other side of the fence.

Her long hair was a windy mess from flying, but Prudence seemed exhilarated from the experience. "Your turn", she said to both Yaro and Klaus as the gray pegasus galloped around them. The pegasi would be able to find their own way home once the group was finished with them.

Klaus merely nodded to Prudence, following behind her with his hands behind his back. He had ceased murmuring his own name, only bringing it up when he decidedly tripped over his own cloak. That happened only twice; once on the roads of Yunakai, and once on the grassy hills.

At the mention of an Elf, the doctor seemed giddy. His giggles were soft and contained, though, thinking they would "annoy" the witch.

"I have never seen an Elf before.." he began. "I wonder what kind of sound they would make when I peel their skin off.. And poke at their pretty elven hearts.. Hee hee hee.."

As Prudence went to get her Pegasus, Klaus waited patiently, staring back at Yaro and his Dragon wyrmling... What to say?

"Have you procured and injuries or illness, that has not healed, properly..?" he pointed his left index finger upwards. "I typically charge 500 silver per wound mended.. But since you and ze Witch have been so kind to me.. I will let you keep your money." as though Yaro had not been there for.. Any interaction, Klaus spoke again. "I work as a Cleric, by trade. I play doctor with the sick and dying.. Mending wounds with conventional methods, like getting a patient drunk off his own booty as I stitch him.. Or simply a little poof of a spell. It all depends on what scares them more: pain.. Or magic?"

Before he would listen to Yaro, though.. Prudence returned. Heinrich marveled at the winged horse. Such a spectacular creature! At the mention of "his" turn, the doctor ran off to the stables, eager to find his own Pegasus.

While Yaro was less than pleased to hear she planned on ruling the land, Yaro was happy to see that the two seemed to be better at ease. He did, however, show a dumbfounded look when he saw Prudence 'steal' pegasi. Yaro just face-palmed at this, the woman seemingly forgetting that Yaro was fully able to pay for them. Her actions reminded him of a certain someone, and he said as much. "I swear Prudence, you remind me so much of my adopted sister, Toriel.....oh, wait, shit, she hates that name. Troy, I mean. "He said. Prudence knew (to my knowledge) only one person named Toriel, as it was an uncommon name, and that same person hated the name, preferring Troy.

Only one person would come to mind to who Yaro spoke of

Yaro would then proceed to take his own, along with the good Doctor. "
I am a Noble, but I only recently came back to this land. I made my fortune by adventuring. I come from a family of Dragon-Tamers. Odd thing is, is my sister Tor- Ahem, Troy hunts them. Anyway, after I secured my wealth, I came back to serve my country, until I found out my own Queen ordered my head removed from my body, for something I didn't even take a part in. "Yaro said, giving the male a rope to help him with his Pegasus. "These lands our my lands, I'll defend them to my dying breath."

As Heinrich entered the stables, he stared around at the Pegasi. Most that he approached, even the other stormily spotted one, actively tried to evade him, as though they sensed his madness. All except for one. It was a solid white Pegasus, with the exception of a solid black stripe going over one eye and through its mane. As Heinrich approached, the winged horse seemed to ignore him, feeding. Seemingly amazed by this Pegasus' bravery, Heinrich clapped.

"Oh wunderbar! You are just as brave as that itty bitty Sorceress! I shall ride you, and I shall name you Fritz."

At the mention of that name, Fritz, the Pegasus merely snorted.. To Klaus, this was a sign of approval. With his tall height, he managed onto the Pegasus rather easily. After Prudence, Heinrich emerged, his new "Fritz" walking forward rather lazily.

"Everyone," Heinrich addressed Yaro and Prudence, patting his Pegasus' head. "This is my new mount Fritz (huff) and I see myself in him. Oh, and a bit of you too, Witch. This Horse is a stranger to fear!"

While waiting on Heinrich and Yaro to choose their own pegasi, Prudence thought about what Yaro said to her. She knew with absolute certainty that the person he referred to was in fact the same Troy who she had lived with at the orphanage. She had not seen or communicated with the girl in nearly four years, since she was last living there at eighteen years old. The short female was surprised that Yaro knew someone from the same orphanage as she, but she decided not to mention this connection just yet. She was interested to learn more about the nature of Yaro's relationship with Troy before bringing the information to his attention.

She was pulled from her mulling as a happy Heinrich returned from the barn with his own pegasus. Prudence was pleased that he was able to mount one. She couldn't help but smile once she noticed how lazily his pegasus moved. She wondered if it would even fly for him.

Prudence let out a soft chuckle as the doctor introduced his horse. "That creature is not comparable to me", she said, although she did not appear annoyed by his comments. She found the quirky doctor to be quite amusing, although she would never admit such a thing to him. Prudence tugged at the reins again, and her pegasus took off in flight. They circled the doctor playfully, "can that thing even fly?" she asked. It was a challenging statement.

The witch and her pegasus took off into the night. She expected Yaro and Heinrich would follow. Now that everyone would have their own pegasus, the trip would only take several hours at most.

Yaro spoke up playfully, and Prudence would be able to see his eyes had returned to a purple color. He was calming down. "I don't know about that Prudence....tall, graceful, intelligent, beautiful? I could go on. "He said, jokingly. He then stopped when he realized what he said, before pulling his hood over his head, covering his beat red face. AveNix would let out a huff, obviously amused by it's masters words, before taking off, flying next to Yaro's pegasus.

He'd follow closely behind Prudence.

"Youre right, I shouldnt compare it to you. It talks less, not as bossy.. And it is tall." Heinrich replied to Prudence with a giggle. As she questioned Fritz's ability to fly, Doctor Klaus decided to put it to the test. He pat the creature on the neck. "Onward, Fritz!" the Pegasus huffed as it began walking forward. Klaus shook his head.. Not what he wanted it to do. He tried patting the wings. They gave a lazy flap.. Just one.

"Nein, Fritz (snort), you must fly high!" Klaus pointed towards the sky.. Right in front of the Pegasus's mouth. It sniffed it briefly, before biting Heinrich on the forearm. Soundlessly the doctor recoiled, smiling at the pain. As it turned out, tasting flesh sent Fritz into an energetic frenzy. It bucked around and sprinted about, and Heinrich held on as tightly as he could.

"Yes! That is the way, Fritz!" the Pegasus bellowed; an unusual sound for a Winged Horse to make, as it leapt up, flapping its wings mightily, flying after Prudence and Yaro, the doctor laughing maniacally at his success in getting Fritz to fly.

"You're both fools", she muttered in response to their comments although she would already be too far and moving too fast for them to hear her. The three flew peacefully for the next couple of hours and soon they reached the dismal kingdom of Bathelon. The kingdom's state had improved with Kuvira's aid and Sir Phillip's leadership, but it was still suffering and plague infested.

"Shush", Prudence hissed to the group. In a harsh tone she whispered, "the people here cannot have pegasi so we must be careful not to be seen". It would not be difficult for them in the night.

Right after Prudence finished her statement a bolt of lightning shot through the air followed by a sudden cold downpour of rain. "Great", Prudence groaned; she was quickly becoming soaked. The storm was picking up fast.

"Klaus, can you lead us from here to your establishment?", she called out. It was a challenge to be heard over the thunder and winds.

Something about the way Klaus gripped onto Fritz.. it seemed to keep him from panicking in the storm. Fritz remained where it was, flapping its wings rather lazily, though strong enough to keep itself and Klaus afloat.

The doctor could barely hear Prudence over the storm.

"What!?" He shouted, before trying to feed back what he thought he had heard. "Lead the way, you say? Okay! Onward, FRITZ!" The strange pegasus bellowed again, before diving straight down. Klaus was whooping in excitement at the sudden speed. Why, it almost knocked his hat off! Fritz was falling fast, though.. Yaro and Prudence would have to follow closely unless they wanted to lose the Doctor in this storm.

Lance turned as a guard called his name and nodded apologetically. Slipping the Rose crest back into his pocket, the king followed the guard out to the gardens. The natural setting in the place calmed him greatly; wandering the halls had nearly sent him over the edge. He'd wondered why until the answer had suddenly slapped him in the face; there would be a full moon soon. Lance hoped it could wait until after they reached Bathelon.

"Thank you for your hospitality, Thornton. I have a feeling you will make a much better king than your father. While my timing is terrible, I must ask.. Will Yunakai's partnership with Bathelon extend to the Rose Kingom now that your two kingdoms are united?"

...

"Paranoid warriors do not do well on the field of battle, Ousin. In case you couldn't tell, I was merely taking a stroll," Maeve answered with a slightly annoyed voice. She wasn't the biggest fan of the Wilting Rose's holier-than-thou attitudes. It certainly explained their treatmrnt of the Roseland's rulers.

Prudence had no trouble keeping up with Klaus. She was accustomed to flying on her broomstick, which was unrulier than the pegasus. The pegasus was easier to stay seated upon, and the pegasus did all of the work. The broomstick required a greater level of cognitive control, although it was still a relatively basic magical instrument. To summarize, the speed and feeling of flight was nothing new to her. Yaro also followed closely behind, but AveNix returned to him after the rain started. It was too cold and rough for such a young dragon to be flying in.

She flew alongside the doctor and peered down below into the barren villages of Bathelon. Hoping the doctor's abode would not be much farther, Prudence called out to him, "are we close?"

The witch couldn't help but shiver in the icy rain. She could feel her body dropping in temperature and her lips were becoming paler in color. These were the beginning stages of frostbite, but what Prudence worried for was not this. It was what her demonic parasite would soon do about it if it progressed much more.

. . .

Thornton attempted to keep a straight face but smiled slightly, "as long as you keep away from my sister". It was at least partially a joke. Then the king answered more seriously, "any ally of Kuvira's is an ally of the Roselands". He patted Lance on the shoulder.

The group of knights from earlier returned to the garden. Several of them began lugging the treasure chests away while one of the men approached the two kings. He bowed and waited to be addressed before standing to speak, "the buggy has been loaded with refreshments, and once the chests are loaded all will be ready, your highness".

Thornton began to walk with the two towards the entrance of the palace. Outside the palace doors a horse and buggy along with Old King Thornton's white stallion were waiting. These were provided for Lance's journey. Sir Edwin of the Emerald Thorns was also there to accompany Lance. He was to steer the buggy and otherwise assist him.

From in the palace Cecile woke up from the sound of a maid entering to clean her room. She apologized when the grumpy princess emerged from her cocoon of blankets, explaining that everyone else had gotten up.

Cecile's eyes then widened and she jumped from the bed. She hurried through the palace, hoping she was not too late.

The princess burst through the palace doors and into Lance and Thornton's farewells. "You're leaving already?" The girl asked while rubbing at her sleepy eyes. She still wearing her night clothes which consisted of a silk and flowing gown that went to her ankles. It was also evident that the girl had just gotten out of bed by her bare feet and disaster of a bedhead.

Yaro would walk over towards Prudence, seeing her current state, and wrap an arm around her. "Look, don't give me a hard time, but this will help...."He said, closing his eyes. Soon, the air around him would begin to warm. He'd lift his hand in the air, as the rain would begin turning into mist in a small around around the two. It wasn't much of a comfort, but it was still better than being soaking wet. Yaro was still, however, embarrassed at the close contact with the woman. "I know it's not much, but it's the most I can manage in my current state."

Osuin would look at Maeve's direction. "Being paranoid is what has kept me alive, and it's what kept my people safe. I'm sorry that your own people don't trust you."Osuin said, hinting that he knew of how unstable the current political climate was. Osuin would walk over towards Troy, and speak up. "Troy, I need to ask you a favor. The Princess of this kingdom, she is suffering from a curse. I'm hoping you could help identify it's source."

Troy would open her uncovered eye. She didn't seem happy that she was disturbed while meditating, and was CERTAINLY not happy about being asked to 'help' a Noble. "Osuin, don't take this the wrong way, I have a big amount of respect for what your people try to do, but why should I bother? She's just going to become another person that'll believe she can crush anyone to get what she wants, no different from that fire-head Kuvira, or Thornton. Why would I help someone like that?"She said, and anyone that heard would notice she said 'try'. Clearly, she didn't agree with the actions of the Wilting Rose too much.

"She's still a Young woman, Troy. She is not like that. Also, we need to show the Rose Monarchy and Yunkanian Monarchy that we can be trusted. If not, then we'll just be seen as a threat. Once this marriage goes through, I don't want their armies coming after my city, my people don't deserve that. "Osuin said. Clearly, the Leader was cautious enough to know that He needed to stay on Kuvira and Thornton's good side to avoid war coming to his land.

Troy would simply stand up, and look towards Thornton. She would then cross her arms, and move her hair out of her face. "You want my help? Then you'll have to hire me. I'll only work for you if I get hired. My Price? One reason. "She said, holding up her hand....That was all she wanted, a reason? "I've seen how your father ruled, and I saw how Kuvira ruled. One is willing to wait out until the other kingdoms died out instead of sharing the cure, and the other was willing to kill children to see her ends met. All I want, is one reason: Why should I help you, when you'd both leave so many to die?"Troy said. Though it was clear this was a biased opinion, the conviction in her voice was clear: She truly believed in what she said, and wanted to see how Thornton justified the Monarchies actions.

Klaus and Fritz smashed into the ground, leaving a small crater from the impact. When the dust settled, Fritz calmly walked out of the crater, Klaus still riding it. There was nary a scratch on either of them, though Fritz had gotten dirty.

"Hoo-boy.. Fritz, (snort) make a habit of that.. When you get hurt or killed Ill dissect you.. What are you made of?"

As the doctor approached Yaro and Prudence, he hesitated.. Was there a romance between the two of them? Oh.. If that was the case+ than Heinrich absolutely HAD to ruin the moment.

"Ahem! Anyway..." he had Fritz march towards them, as Klaus straightened his robe. "My place of business is rather close to here. There is an apothecary I work with.. But he wont cooperate unless you say the codeword." as though suspecting eavesdropping, the doctor swiveled his head around, making sure no one was there. He then turned back to Prudence and Yaro, and whispered to them.

"Ze code phrase is.. "Where is the money?" the apothecary shouldnt be too difficult to find. Big blue sign with a beaker on it? Easy!"

Much like a human fetus is capable of aiding its mother when she is suffering, the demonic fetus took care of Prudence in situations such as these. Prudence's body temperature suddenly started to rise. It was an unnaturally fast and drastic change in temperature, and soon she found herself in sweats. The witch pulled away from Yaro, hoping he did not notice this unusual bodily response to the cold; he could start to suspect that something was unnatural about her pregnancy. She had gone from facing frostbite to overheating in seconds. Now she was admittedly feeling entirely too hot. "I don't need help", she snapped at Yaro. The man's caring nature was annoying to someone as independent as Prudence; she would have to get used to it.

The storm raged on. The group was now walking on foot through Bathelon, and it wasn't long at all before Prudence spotted the apothecary's ornate sign designed to look like a beaker. "There", she pointed out and quickened her pace to the building. The three were now standing outside the building. It was late in the night and it did not appear anyone was in the building.

"Do we really need this 'code' if we are with you?" she asked the witch doctor. She was intrigued by his illegal operations.

As they neared the Apothecary, Heinrich dismounted Fritz, patting him on the nose as the strange Pegasus stumbled off to go and drink storm rain that had pooled up on the ground. Heinrich himself eyed down the place, cracking his knuckles. He was about to answer when Prudence questioned the validity of the code phrase. To this, he mimicked Prudence's body language from before; cocking his own hips and placing his hands upon them.

"Yeah, yeah you do. Do you know how many other people dressed like me, when they brought medicine to Bathelon?" he paused for a moment, as though expecting Prudence to answer. Before she could say anything, however, Klaus spoke up.

"At least 5 others. They are Koeler, Aganos, Steiner, Marshal and Bismarck.. And they are TERRIBLE doctors.. Going by such lingo as ethics, and prescriptions. That helps no one. The longer they keep a patient waiting to be healed.. The quicker they will die." Klaus shook his head in disgust, pointing at the door.

"Now please enter and ask the nice man where is the money. I will be right behind you if things go sour.."

Prudence's face contorted into an appalled expression as the doctor mimicked her movements. She started to place her hands on her hips again out of habit, but quickly caught herself doing this and retracted her hands. Instead she rolled her eyes at him as he explained the "serious" reasons they should need a secret code.

"Fine", she muttered to him and started for the door. Prudence was eager to get dried off. She was feeling feverish from the immense heat flash she was experiencing. In fact, rain water was rising off of her skin in a vaporized form. She took the door handle and hesitated before pushing it open and stepping through. "Where is the money?" she asked aloud. She felt ridiculous saying this out into what she guessed was a dark and empty room.

The apothecary was a small place, illuminated by a few candles. There were shelves of potions and herbs lining the walls. Behind the counter was a mountain of a man..

He was bald, with some facial hair.. Not quite a beard. Heightwise, he even dwarfed Heinrich. His musculature was immense, as though he had been lifting weight all his life.

As Prudence opened her mouth and asked where the money was.. The man squinted a bit.. And then his face contorted into horror.

"You..!" he pointed at Prudence, seeming to panic behind the counter. "That crazy doctor sent you!?" from behind the counter he pulled away a massive sword, a Zweihander, and tried to grip it with both hands.

"No! Not this time! Hes not gonna bully me anymore! That freaking nutjob!"

The man leapt from behind the counter screaming in a panicked frenzy as he swung downward at the Witch!

(@Enuky K My character was talking to you, so I can't post for them until you respond)

The Sword would be.....stopped before it touched Prudence. However, there would be a thin red liquid pouring down from the blade. Looking up, They'd be able to see that Yaro was holding it by his bare hand, and his eyes were back to blue. He would then close his eyes, as the area around the blade would begin glowing, before.....snapping in half. He melted the blade in half! "Do something stupid like that again, and you're a dead man."Yaro said, tossing the shattered sword fragments on the ground.

(OOC: I was trying to wait and see if Trombone would have any time to post today, but looks like I'm going to have to see Lance off myself. I'll get to it later.)

Prudence took a step back in confusion when the shop clerk became defensive. The giant of a man stood at nearly twice her size it seemed, and the next thing she knew he was swinging a sword down at her. "Klaus!" she screamed out in anger as she came to the conclusion that this was that clown's fault. It would have been her last word had Yaro not stepped in, stopping the sword with his brute strength. The small female was quick to recover from the shock and her hands returned to her hips. She grinned, "that's right!" she said arrogantly to the man following Yaro's words. She was impressed and pleased by his quick actions.

Then the witch's grin faded into a livid glare. She turned to the doctor, who had let them walk into this mess. She became furious, "you!" The girl grabbed the first thing in her reach, an old heavy book, and chucked it at the silly doctor. The angry female began scanning the room for more to throw at him. "That was your fault you idiot clown!" she raged.

Upon seeing his massive sword shattered in half.. The man recoiled back in shock.

"What even.." he murmured.

Shortly after, Klaus walked in, stumbling a bit as he was hit by a book. After he regained his posture, he looked around, he saw the massive man, and he simply giggled. He ducked, evading the next few things Prudence would throw at him as he grabbed the shocked clerk by his face.

"Where is the money!?" Heinrich shouted.

"No! Get away from me!" the man shouted back. This only made Heinrich grab him tighter, and pull away his mace from his back.

"Where is my money, Howard!? You owe me money!"

"No! I owe you nothing! You freaking defecti-" this "Howard" was cut off mid sentence as Heinrich's mace bashed into his jaw with a crunch. Next moment.. The giant man was out cold. His face wasnt too badly disfigured.. Just a few spots where the mace scraped through skin and drew blood. The doctor sheathed his mace, dusting off his hands, and walked behind the counter.

"Now that that is over with.." he began, kneeling. "We can get to my base of operations." from behind the counter, the sound of a rickety wooden door could be heard. Prudence and Yaro would see a trapdoor that Heinrich had opened; opening up to a ladder. He wordlessly beckoned for the two to follow him. Notably.. He carried Howard's unconscious body down the ladder with him.

"Dont hit your head, and last one down, please close the trapdoor." Klaus' voice echoed from down below.
