Bio:
After money hungry counselors change around some features of a court case, Markus' family is torn apart by the law in an old state, and had to move in with his families guardian. He knows that if he wants them to be back, he can sacrifice his facade of being meek. He can speak up, but will be put on the spot, which he cannot be brought to do that, and he feels trapped inside his own decision, repressing most of his emotions for his family as a result.

Biography:
Riles is a Ravenswood kid though and though. His parents and their parents' parents lived here, not like he knows nor cares. As his Parent's died when he was young and all he had for a family in this world is an older sister. She always tried her best but damn if he wasn't hard to raise alone. He has a reputation and a record of being a troublemaker and petty criminal but he cares for his older sister. His older sister moved out of their family house to live with her boyfriend since her memories of the house was too painful to keep reliving and he was too much to handle, her boyfriend is seemingly controlling her and has pitting her against Riles which he resents both of them for their treatment of him, but he still cares for his sister and wants things to go back as before. Riles currently lives alone in his family's house living off of a monthly allowance from his sister who also pays for the bills because she still loves him even if he is a troublemaker. He could easily swallow his pride and live with his sister and her boyfriend but he's too damn prideful and petty to forgive them at the moment.

Personality:
Riles is a suspicious, weary, and generally a prudent person. He is skeptical of others and of their ulterior motives always keeping his distance from others. He is strangely articulate despite his rugged appearance and reputation. He has a snide and dry sense of humor. He is also quite a troublemaker causing minor misdemeanors and casually disregards laws and rules. He also has a strong sense of pride and can be rather petty when its bruise.

Shadow Riles look like a kid version of him in a black coat and carries some candy as well as a book that his sister used to read to him as a kid. He acts like a bratty child but is mostly harmless except when denied things he wants.

Sam was born and raised in The Big Apple itself, New York City. His family wasn't very rich. They were comfortably middle class, but every now and then it was a struggle to make end's meet. Sam himself had to work a part time job along with school to help his family pay for things like rent, electricity, and food. Sam's parents were good people, and only wanted what was best for their son. This included sending him out of state for school so that he could focus on his studies while they focused primarily on getting their family financially stable. Sam was understandably a bit apprehensive about going to a new school in a completely different state, but he knew his parents were doing this for his own good. Sam now currently resides in Ravenswood with a cousin of his, named Dean, who owns a comic books shop, above which sits an apartment he'll lend Sam for the year. It's not free of course, Sam still has to help around the shop, but things seem to be going pretty smoothly...for now.

Personality:
Sam is a geek in every sense of the word. He loves sci fi and fantasy, is usually seen reading a comic book or manga, sees just about every superhero movie that comes out every summer, and is usually wearing t-shirts and other clothing that have either a character or reference to whatever video game, tv show, anime, manga, or comic book he happens to be into at the time. Despite this, he tends to be very quiet and reserved, usually not flipping out unless he sees something that greatly excites him, like say, a movie being made out of one of his favorite comic book characters. Generally he is a kind, well mannered young man, who is quiet most of the time, but once you get close to him, you won't be able to get him to shut up.

Shadow Sam is the Dark Side of the Fool Arcana. The Fool Arcana represents limitless possibilities, near unending potential. The Fool represents Innocence, Spontaneity, Creativity, Divine Inspiraton, and Freedom. Shadow Sam represents the dark aspects of The Fool, namely Chaos and Madness. Shadow Sam was created from Sam's repressed fear of the unknown, from his fears of the dangers to come. Shadow Sam at first just a small bundle of negative emotions...but his full potential was awakened at the same time Sam's was. Shadow Sam represents untapped potential used without limits. Potential used without any kind of restraint, complete utter chaos in its truest, rawest form.

Personality:
Shadow Sam is malevolent in every sense of the word. It acts much like Sam does at first, outgoing, cheerful, a bit geeky, but there is an evil edge to it. Shadow Sam has no sense of morality or restraint. It takes the "Limitless Possibilities" offered by The Fool to heart, in that he does whatever he wants, whenever he wants it, regardless of who he hurts and what he destroys in the process. He was born from Sam's repressed fear of the unknown, born from when Sam's potential was unlocked in the Velvet Room. Much like Sam, he is out to prove himself in the coming journey...but unlike Sam, he is out to prove himself in a much darker fashion...

Miss Popular. Miss Straight A Student. Miss Rich Girl. Everyone knows Mary Fairfax, partially due to her family name and partially due to the reputation she's built as an over achiever since first grade. Her father, an insanely wealthy businessman with some shady connections people are smart not to question, pays to ensure his only daughter has the best of the best, whether it be clothing or school supplies or her own personal driver. It doesn't stop at just buying things for her, but buying her way into things as well. It's how she managed to join the Student Council during her freshman year so easily, and to be told, no one doubts she'll be in it once the second year kicks into full swing.

Her circle of friends is what you'd call the best of the best, having an elitist attitude that prevents others from getting too close. They're a walking stereotypical clique with a bitchy Queen Bee leading the pack and making the rules, setting trends left and right for others to follow. So, with this sort of set up from her father and "friends," you'd expect Mary to fit right in with it all, wouldn't you? Of course you would. Because that's how things are supposed to be.

But she isn't. She's down-to-earth and painfully sweet, and almost always has a smile on her face. Whether it is her push over nature that forces her to go along with the crowd or fear of upsetting the balance her life rests on is unknown, and really, it isn't like she has any real friends to lean on to figure it out. Instead she continues to live the life expected of her, sheltered from the cruel realities that others face, with a pair of rose-tinted glasses blocking her view.

(She dares not tell her father that she wants to attend college in Paris where she can work on her passion for art. No, the daughter of Maxwell Fairfax is destined to follow in his footsteps and become a businessman, not some frivolous painter. It doesn't matter how strong the yearning inside her is; overcoming her complaceny and dissapointing her father is an impossibility.)

Personality
Those who don't know well Mary have her pinned as a stuck up snob that pretends to be the school's sweetheart in order to manipulate things in her favor. After all, she can just throw money at her problems and fix them, and does all the time! Rumor has it she's even dating one of the teachers in secret. Wait, wasn't she with a football player just a few weeks ago? Hmm...

The truth is, she doesn't have it in her to argue with what is whispered behind her back. She does well in school and maintains her grades through hard work and hours of studying, despite what people believe, and goes out of her way to avoid flashing her fortunate start in life. That isn't her money, after all. It's her father's; what he does with it is his choice, not hers, and more often than not it tends to make the situation worse.

So she lets kids be kids. She's one too, she can understand the need to cut others down. As long as she keeps a smile on her face and does her best to live each day without regrets, it'll all work out fine in the end. Fake popularity and niceness thrown her way can be endured for a few more years. High school is the start of her life, not what ends or defines it.

Personality
Unlike Mary, her Shadow Self is incredibly honest and truthful, and shows a great deal of insight to the negative parts of herself that she's locked away in the depths of her heart. All those feelings, desires, and thoughts that she's kept buried for so long tumble out, and in the end it is enough to wreck her.

Strings hold up her arms, neck, and legs, and what was once fully human in appearance is now a marionette version of Mary. She moves around in a disjointed fashion pulled by an invisible force that manipulates her movements effortlessly.

Biography:
Jeanne is the oldest of two children in the Martin-Lorant household and has lived in Ravenswood all her life Her father is a politician while her mother works from home. Originally Jeanne was a only child until she was five years old when her mother gave birth to another baby girl. Everything went well for the first seven years of the two being siblings until disaster struck. Enraged by the amount of attention her younger sister got and how she could get away with practically anything she did the Younger Jeanne decided to take action and teach her sister a lesson

As the two were playing in their front yard Jeanne wanted to scare her sister by shoving faking shoving her into the street while a car came by. The plan worked perfectly accept that the fake shove quickly became a real shove when Jeanne lost her balance and sent her sister flying in front into the street as her father’s car came down the road. Jeanne lunged for her sister and managed to pull her back onto the sidewalk before it was to late but the damage had been done, her parents had seen it all.

After the incident she became an outcast in her home. Her parents treated her no longer as a daughter but as a monster that they were obligated to by law to keep alive. She was forced to learn to cook as her parents refused to cook for her, they would by the food for her to make herself but they refused to make food for a monster. She no longer received the clothes, she was merely given money and told to go to the nearest handy down school to get some from there if she needed them.

After having her self-image crushed by her own guilt and parent’s constant reminders of what she did Jeanne became stuck in a dark place. She no longer had the desire to live but was to much of a coward to end her own life in any method, thus she decided to atone by treating other with the upmost kindness that she could. Despite Jeanne thinking in her mind there is no way of ever getting back what she really wants deep inside there is still the glimmer of hope that she will find people who will be able to truly care about her.

Personality:
Jeanne on a regular basis acts happy go lucky and always treats people with the maximum amount of kindness that she can muster. It may not earn her any friends and it may even put some or most people off but that doesn’t matter to her. Even though she tries to always act happy and friendly she often secludes herself from groups during events, outside of school, or even during lunch. To the outside observer she would look fearless and strong but in reality she finds so little value in herself that even if she is injured as long as it doesn’t inconvenience someone else then its fine.

Biography:
The next thing Caroline knew, she was in an orphanage. There was nothing before then and as a child she never really thought about what was there before what was now and that suited her just fine. She was a statistic, she knew that, and though it was strange for some, she embraced it as her very nature. She was always a smart girl, and though she started in obscurity, she very soon found herself rising, whether it was in academics, arts, and even... no... no she sucks at sports.

In school, she's all smiles, not part of the popular crowd but not one to shun anyone away. She can relate with anyone and more often than not goes out of her way to help everyone, but there is distance about her, how she speaks, how she moves, that though she promises a helping hand, it's still held at arm's length.

At home, well it isn't home but she makes the best of being in a forster family. They're nice people, as is everyone, but life goes on and though she cares very much for her foster parents, there is no real love shared between them. Its a mixture of gratitude and civic duty, morality and pity, but its a working relationship and that's good enough for her.

All she wants, all she ever wanted, was to live in the now, and to see as many people as happy as possible. Of course, she herself is included in that count, maybe even first and foremost.

Personality:
Caroline is the warmest person she's ever known, and that's without hubris since she makes it a point to get to know people. She's outgoing, caring, friendly, and kind in the simplest terms. She's busy, what with keeping up a part time job to help support herself, but she tries to make time for others, especially her closer friends, few they may be. She's easily relegated to the side, content with her title as the "Nice Girl" and she honestly prefers it that way since there's always less fuss about her. Though she doesn't look for trouble, she'll help out when trouble unfolds before her.

She's hopeful to a fault, almost dizzyingly naive, but no one has the heart to tell her. It's only a matter of time until someone exploits this facet of her, and if anyone ever did in the past, she hides it very very well.

Biography:
Rakutsu was born and raised by his mother. He was an only child and his mother wasn't married. His father abandoned her the moment he found out about the pregnancy. He spent most of his life as a loner all the way to today. The only thing that was on his mind was trying to be the best student possible for his mother. She didn't force him to study, but he needed to do something in order to ease her mind. She can barely hold down a job making it hard to earn money to support Rakutsu or herself.
Desperate to get by she started giving herself to men during the night while working part time jobs during the day. This was kept a secret from Rakutsu until the police came to his door. They informed him that his mom died due to a drug overdose that was forced onto her. He was sent to live in a foster home shortly after the incident.

Personality:

Rakutsu is infamously a loner. Even as a small child he didn't want to talk or be near anyone. The exception was his teachers and mother of course. With his mom gone, he doesn't know who he can start trusting in his life. Rakutsu finds people around his age to be very annoying and immature. He often complains why people can't just grow up and act like adults. This sort of thinking gave birth to an all work and no play type of mindset. He looks and acts calm in almost every situation, but is hiding a lot of anger. Anger at people, the world, and himself. People because someone took his mom just because she was wear than them, the world for being cruel and unfair, and himself for being so weak.
