Welcome to character sheet! Please use this form to submit your character to the RP. This thread will also include list of NPCs that will later be introduced as well.


  • 1. Every characters must be accepted by me before you can start posting in the main thread. I have to right to ask you to edit your characters if I see it unfit for the RP.

    2. Currently, only one character per player. However, if we get a shortage of players and in need of more, I may let you add the second if I think you are consistent enough to play two.

    3. Do follow the conditions written in each categories in the sheet.

    4. I will only have a maximum of 10 characters as of now. You will secure your place once your character has been accepted. First come, first serve!

- Sand Cloak: Summon a blanket of swirling sand to conceal himself and whoever near by.

Personality: Cadmus is generally friendly and like to hang out. He love to entertain others and is eager to lend his hands around if possible. He is usually shown to be optimistic and rarely ever get angry or upset. However, since he has lost both his parents, he always strive to be loved and be respected by the other, specially to his caretaker. He dislikes violence, prefers to avoid it at all cause and could hardly ever put up a fight. (causing him to be bullied so many times.)

Cadmus is very good with animals and little children. He adore their innocence and wholesomeness. He always dream of one day starting his own family, having a lot of pets and children. Cadmus also like to read novels, poets, history and learn about the world of Potamos. (mostly through reading and hearing from adventurers.)

Background: Cadmus was born to a couple of staff working at Grand Mbuna's college. His parents got into an accident and were killed by wild predator when he was only five years old, and thus was taken into the care of Antodian Vyraz, headmaster of Grand Mbuna's college, who's very close to Cadmus's parents. Antodian taught Cadmus to write, read and fill him with the passion of reading and arts. Cadmus waits eagerly for the day that he would be joining the college and learn even more about the world.

As of late, Antodian has been distancing himself from Cadmus, doing research and seems to be keeping something from him. The young nymph gets more and more restless and upset about his caretaker's behavior, as he always wants Antodian to trust him and share him the burden that had been keeping them apart.

Skills and abilities: Flame is very good at... running away. They may not be able to swim in nymph form, but damn if they can't climb, crawl through holes three sizes too small, and lose people in increasingly-thick beds of sea grass. They're also good at stealth and picking locks.

They aren't Bad at hand to hand combat, as they have needed to develop some kind of defense, but they aren't officially trained and fight dirty. Very dirty.
Magic: Sun

Magic description: Flame, being nocturnal refuses to use the light part of their magic, as it can very well overload their eyes and cause them pain. So, instead, they simply use the heat part.

Though Flame usually just makes things up on the fly, they do have a recurring move set that they use often.
-Startle: User concentrates heat in one area to make a small "pop" of air (which is surprisingly loud). Often paired with the use of their Ropedart to disorient.

Personality:

Flame holds a very neutral stance on most things, preferring to keep to themself and their birds. More often than not, they can be found making things. They enjoy the little things in life; quiet moments to themself, late-night runs, etc. They rarely get close to people on account of their fear of abandonment, but when they do, they are very loyal and very protective, though in such a way that it's a little hard to notice at first.

Flame's general demeanor follows along the lines of; do not speak unless spoken to, when speaking to anyone who's not a someone who garners respect, be as sarcastic and cynical as possible, and generally keep to the shadows and try your hardest to be ignored.

If you're a stranger, well... they don't care about you, your opinions, or whether you scored that one goal in whatever that one time.

Background:

Flame is... a loner, if their personality wasn't obvious enough. They're a thief and information broker under the alias "Seven". They have no clue who their parents are, and for the most part, they were raised by an individual by the name of "Teal". Well, he's up and vanished, and Flame's made it their personal mission to track him down so they can thrash him for playing the magician and disappearing.

Between the time Teal poofed and present day, Flame had been hiding in the flooded forest, making their way toward Northern Lake, because they'd prefer to have some skills outside of just surviving outside as a goblin. Their skills of "Getting the Hell Out" in every situation did them well there, though their social skills are near-nonexistent, unless they're dealing information.

Equipment/Items:
Ropedart:
A scarf-like item with a grapple-hook-like end used primarily for transportation, but occasionally for battle in a strange alternative style.

Cloak/mask:
A black cloak/mask combo. The mask has one strap that goes under the chin then attaches to the hood. It's in the shape of a snake-like creature's head. The cloak is lined with pockets on the inside.

Extra:
-Seven isn't really famous, but not unknown.
-Fighting-style is to hit hard, hit frequently then back off; repeat.
-Dirty gremlin who loves colorful rocks.

Skills and abilities: Near-extensive knowledge of literature and folklore, decent instrument playing, can make poems and epics on the spot; although not very well, since he's still in training.

On cast, the target hears a calming music. On success, the target feels calm, happy and docile, with peaceful memories bubbling up from deep within.
- Tears of the Moon
On cast, the target hears a sad, whispering voice. On success, memories of sadness will rush into the target's mind. The target will also feel like their body is heavier; their reaction time will slow down somewhat.
- Blade of the Moon (not now)
Manifests a translucent blade and can manipulate it with the mind. On strike, the target feels illusions of pain on the area struck.


Personality: When he is happy, he is often ecstatic; when he is not, he gets lost in a valley of despair. Just like his mood, his outlook on life, too, rapidly changes like coming and going of a tide. When he is in a happy mood, he thinks quickly (although not often accurately), and acts even quicker than his thoughts; when he is not, he moves slowly and is a more practical thinker, thinking through everything.

Often he finds himself knee-deep in the trouble he had gotten in when he was in an elated mood. So far, his practical side had managed to solve everything he had gotten in, but he worries from time to time that he might not be able to one day. (One of the worries, incidentally, is that he might have gotten involved in something too big by going to this adventure). Deep inside he is beset with worries, but he does not share this very easily; to outsiders, he lives up to his name, finicky as the current going this way or the other.

Background: He grew up as part of a snail-herding family long time ago, but his family encouraged him to move to a metropolis to experience the wider world. Once there, he worked at a barn taking care of animals, while learning a thing or two about poetry from listening in on barn owner teaching his son at late nights. When the castle bard was looking for his apprentice, he went to the audition, and was accepted as an apprentice along with a barn owner's son.

He had always looked up to Elier, the castle bard, despite him saying repeatedly that he only was picked to this position because he was too afraid of adventuring, of the dangers present beyond the horizon of the castle walls. He had quickly become good friends with barn owner's son, Albert. Now, after three years of intense training, he is about to do what his master was afraid of doing; set on a wider adventure to see stories unfold firsthand and hone his skill even further as an adventuring bard.

Equipment/Items: half a dozen reed pen, water-resistant fruit ink in a rather fancy bottle, water-resistant journal, Book of Ancients (a book of poetry and ballads, received from the castle bard), wooden whistle that can play different notes, a staff (as seen on the human form picture)

Extra: Enters into a trance-like state when he is singing, playing an instrument, or telling a story.

Magic: Torrent
  • Rising flow: Create a vortex around the user that last for several seconds. Anything that enters the vortex would be propelled forward.

Personality: Elliot is mostly a calm and composed person, taking careful consideration of her action as if she is playing a strategic board game. She's a sociable person but usually doesn't bother hiding her disdain for something she doesn't like, making her not the most likable among her noble peers. That whip on her hips is not for show either as Elliot can be quite harsh to herself and other people.

After witnessing her mother dragged into the abyss by a giant tentacle she seems to have awakened a hidden bloodlust. She can be hotheaded once she is agitated and lose her cool, sometimes even becomes very reckless as long as she can achieve her goal.

Background: The Reed family is one of the noble house in Sapphire Lake. Their main duty is to keep the safety of their subjects, which is why the noble houses in Sapphire Lake are highly militaristic considering abyss-dwellers as their biggest threat. Reed family is even less fortunate because their land is placed next to the abyss itself.

That kind of environment shaped Elliot to be a cold duty-bound girl, efficiently learning the necessary skills like a soulless machine. Her mother however noticed the cracks in her soul from those burden and would patiently helped her to find joy in life. Playing the piano and tending to the garden became her favorite activities and Elliot soon started to smile in her daily life, until her mother became a victim during one of the invasion from the abyss-dweller. She reverted back to her previous lifestyle, but with a little twist, she enjoys spilling blood now.

•Triple Fishy: Can make a pair of “clones”, or rather, one clone and one total abomination of an clone. Naturally, concentration plays a part as does the limited range the clones can go.

Personality: Fish appearance can indeed be quite deceiving. Here we have a bottom feeder fish who out of necessity tries to be entirely invisible to the naked eye. Then you have Isabelle, a regular firecracker that seems to have some faulty circuit that at times prevents her from understanding the basic concept of self preservation. Not that she has a death wish or is entirely an idiot, she just has a bit too much confidence while being a teensy bit too impulsive. Of course, if that isn’t enough of a nuisance there is also a stubbornness which shifts into childish pouting whenever checked.

All that said, Isabelle is usually pleasant to be around if not a source for an occasional laugh. An adventurous spirit, she has quite an open mind and doesn’t seem to have the energy to judge others. When motivated, she has plenty of juice and is headstrong enough to be a very useful worker or an inquisitive helper.

Background: There really isn’t anything about Isabelle’s life that is out of the ordinary. She’s the daughter of Daphnia farmers and spent nearly her entire life in the waters of Northern Lake. No silver spoon, but never without unless you count her random childish desires. How such an upbringing created the person she is now is a mystery. Too many stories about adventure and heroics maybe.

Isabelle had recently left the comfort of home, having enrolled at Grand Mbuna. A real eye opener for a “country gal” who had rarely gone beyond let alone stayed away from her little community. In the grand library and diverse student body she could placate her interest of the world beyond the Lake.

Equipment/Items:
•Satchel bag made of turtle leather

Extra: Really likes sweets and spicy foods.

Personality: Keelester is an overly energetic young man. generally seeing the brighter side of things no matter the case. keel has an unshakable confidence in his own abilities. but not to the point of pure arrogance, unless you count his cooking even if it's bad he will just blame the equipment and not himself. there is some recklessness in his nature however he's that one guy that will grab the brooding person in the corner and make them join in the rest of the party.
Background: keelester form a family of hunters while nothing to fancy or anything keels overly energetic personality was particularly annoying for everyone else who was more or less the sort of country folk that take a hour to do anything. His enrolment at Grand Mbuna Was specifically so they could just be rid of him for a couple of years and hopefully he’d not comeback. Of course Keel didn’t know that.
Equipment/Items: bow and arrow, a cool cape, a pouch of various snacks he's made, some cooking equipment mostly portable bits and bobs

Magic: Organism Magic
  • Breath of Life: Adonis releases a surge of organism magic that greatly accelerates the growth of his target(s). This only works on simple life forms like plants. He’s trying to figure out how to apply it to nymphs.
  • Heartbeat: Whenever Adonis channels organism magic, he can sense the presence of nearby life forms and determine basic information about them based off of what he senses.

Personality:

Adonis is a confident individual with a passionate nature. The nymph’s temper is incredibly volatile; on a good day, he’s willing to put up with whatever you drag him through, but on the flip side, he can get annoyed over a single misphrased comment. He is inquisitive, his curiosity often calling him to leave the well-trodden path, with a creative mind that comes up with unusual ideas, most of which don’t lead to anything worthwhile.

He has a love of sarcasm that is apparent in both in his disparaging remarks and his sense of humor which is otherwise conventional. The mage is on the talkative side, even more so when he’s comfortable.


Background:

Adonis grew up in a metropolis in Sapphire Lake. He was born to a middle-class family, and live a comfortable life. There was nothing particularly eye-catching about his childhood aside from the realization that the nymph was a mage. But the child wasn’t too interested in magical endeavors, and never used his power for anything noteworthy – he never focused on training it either, though he did take a few classes that taught him the basics.

During his teenage years, he took on an apprenticeship under a famous scientist which wasn’t much of a surprise to anyone who knew Adonis – he’d always been curious, even as a kid, and clever as well. Looking back, he learned a lot about what being an adult entailed during this time as his mentor was firm on preparing the nymph for both the life that lay ahead of him and the science he was so curious about, biology.

By the end of his years with the senior researcher, Adonis was prepared for what lay ahead of him. However, much to the chagrin of his parents, the fledgling choose to strike out on his own, not wanting to be burdened with the need of listening to someone else's whims. Maybe not the best decision, but he was an investigator in his own right.

After getting stuck on a particularly hard block for months, he admitted his iniquities, that maybe his basics weren't the best, leading him to enroll in Grand Mbuna's college.

Equipment/Items:
  • Notebook
  • Longsword
  • Investigation Equipment. Consists of measuring tools like rulers and weights and whatever bits and pieces pertain to his current experiment.

Extra:
  • Is naturally left-handed, though he’s trained himself to be ambidextrous because finding stuff that’s made for people like him is hard.
  • Loves candy and other sweet foods.
