Hullo potential applicants! To those of you who intend on applying, I hope this message finds you well. Please do not hesitate to drop one of the mods a DM if you’d like to discuss any element of the character, the application, the story, etc. We’re 11 days away from the applications closing, though our LORE THREAD is continually being updated with further lore, so I recommend watching that thread if you don’t already. Later today, the mod-played characters will be released!

In the meantime, those on tumblr who are interested in this funky lil rpg asked about NAMING CONVENTIONS that we thought might be helpful to our rpn friends!

Her heart is so large and all-encompassing, befitting of HUCKLEBERRY. She is soft, but she is not weak, and her motivations prove this. When the time came, JUDAES weighed his choices, and he would rather be alone with power than prey with a companion.

At the heart of JUDAES is a broken nepotism baby who has finally realized that they have direction, that they are just as scrappy as the backs they profit off of. All of our applicants captured this, but your JUDAES caught out eye most of all in this regard. Most poignantly, this line:

The tides were turning, and he was not strong enough to fight against them.

There is a boy who wants so many things, but he does not know how to render them. He is willing to destroy, but does not know yet how to do so strategically. Perhaps PANDORA'S BOX is his key? By far, one of the most difficult decisions to make was for VERONA. Your take on the Half-Nimm, KIARA, captured us first with how tenderly you painted them and their connections to the people around them. Out of all the members of Pandora's Box, VERONA is the one who deserves redemption perhaps the most. They are an underdog, yes, but you also captured the fallibilities of VERONA without villifying them. You breathed life into her, and we can imagine your VERONA clear as day, walking down the overgrown streets of Rass or hiding against the wall at an Alley party.

It soothes, each successful job a whisper that yes, you are good enough.

Much like their teeth as they sink into the flesh of the unclean, your writing captured us immediately. Your FANG stuck with us, starkly and rendered in high-definition across the page. She is the anti-hero, the vigilante with a heart of gold, the elusive eldest sibling-turned-den-mother. She is so loyal, to the point of obsession, and it makes us hunger for more. ABI, you created a woman who is the product of all the love, hate, justice, injustice, rage, joy, violence, and peace that exists in the world around her, in her family, in herself.
