Byron can be a bit difficult. He's fiercely independent and has a lot of issues with authority. Although he's a bit on the quiet side he has an air of intensity about him that can make people uncomfortable. That's mostly just a front for strangers. Around his friends and family, he's laid-back and fun loving which some people mistake for laziness. That's pretty far off the mark- growing on a farm made Byron a hard worker and he can rarely sit still for more than ten minutes.

A hippie through and through, Byron has a whimsical, childlike side and it's hard for him to take most things seriously. But the things he does take seriously he'd fight to the death over. One of those things is the farm and his way of life. He's a staunch environmentalist and has been a vegan for three years now.

Despite all of this he knows how to have a good time and became known in his small school for hosting massive parties in the woods behind his farm, or as massive as you can get in such a small town.

Background: Byron was born and raised in Creston on his family's organic farm at the edge of town. The oldest of six children, he's been helping out on the farm since he could walk but he loves it. His childhood was like a movie- nothing but running around outside, playing with animals, and climbing trees. And that's pretty much how it continued throughout his teen years too. His parents fostered his rebellious side, viewing it as a natural part of growing up, and as such Byron was free to explore whatever parts of life he wanted within reason.

He's spent most of his life in this one town. The few times he's visited a city he hasn't been very impressed, but he just graduated from high school and is planning on attending USC in the fall to study film and art history. He's excited but also slightly terrified.

Aya would say herself that she "is born for excitement" and loves the big city more than anything. She always ends up hanging with the wrong crowds and it has resulted in lots of parties, and very little responsibility. She loves getting an adrenaline rush, and can get restless very fast when she is bored. She never shows when something gets to her, and instead of talking about her issues she likes to distract herself from them.


She has never met anyone she felt she could open up to, who would care, so the thought of talking about her problems is very strange to her, and belongs in the movies.

Background

Ayalyn have been living in New York since she was born. Her parents are middle-class, and they both work quite a lot. They had quite the ordinary life, until Aya started in high school, and got a crowd of new friends. These friends introduced her to the ‘wild life’, and that was the beginning. She started going out to party every weekend, and one day she cut her hair short, and started to dress quite provocatively as well. Her parents scolded her naturally, but it never made her quit.


One day it got out of hand though. One of her friends had taken a car to a party, and gotten a lot to drink. They had ridden the car home, with music on full blast, singing their hearts out and not paying attention to the road. They had run a red light, straight into trouble. They ended up in quite a car crash. Aya woke in the hospital after that, and luckily no one had died, but all of them had injuries. That was the last drop for her parents. They send her off to the countryside after that, to get a break from the city.
