Background
2187. A year after the Reaper War left the races of the Milky Way in devastation, the Council races have once more begun to expand their influence to the frontiers of the galaxy. With many of the core worlds still lying in ruins, taxation has ravaged the population in order to fund their reconstruction. With a focus placed on planets lying in Council Space, outrage has sparked in the colonies of the Terminus Systems and the Attican Traverse, with cries of favoritism and abandonment spreading throughout the stars. As tensions teach a boiling point, armed conflict soon erupts in within colonies, their populations seeking to break away and establish their own governance in the galaxy.
Unwilling to risk the public outcry at committing an army to fighting their own people, the Council races instead turn to private contractors and military operators in order to wage a secret campaign against the colonial rebels. Recruiting from all walks of life and race, the newly-formed Orion Company is deployed into the Attican Traverse, seeking to end an insurrection plot that threatens the Council’s future as a galactic power.
