October 12, the date everybody on board had been waiting for. Today, Orion Class Cruiser #12: "SkyChaser," would arrive at it's target destination, Gaith. A remote planet out in the Nyras System, Gaith is the 3rd planet from it's star, just like Earth. In this case, however, it was the 3rd out of only 3 planets in the system. "Specimen Observation and Collection. Colonization Foundation. Interstellar Vacation Opportunities." the mission pamphlet had told you. As the captain's voice came on the intercom, the crew erupted with joy as they were informed that the ship would be arriving within the hour. What fun! You'd be among the first to claim Gaith in the name of the Federation! But fun has to end eventually, and it looks like time's up in the moment. As soon as the cheering began, it had turned to frightened screams.
"ALL PASSENGERS REPORT TO YOUR ROOMS. DO NOT LEAVE UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. ALL CREW REPORT TO YOUR RESPECTIVE EMERGENCY BAYS. THIS MESSAGE WILL NOW REPEAT."
Sirens blare and red lights flash as panic erupts throughout the SkyChaser. You scramble hastily to Launch Bay 2, fighting your way through hordes of people. Everything's shaking, something has gone horribly wrong. As the door of your launch pod seals behind you, the frightened pleads of other crew echo in your head. They bang on your pod, begging to be let inside. There should be enough right? The Federation is always prepared, right? The stasis fluid begins to fill up within your pod, quickly climbing to the roof. As your vision slowly fades, the last thing you hear, is the sound of your pod being hurled out of the ship.
