avalona - snow whitethe torturedToday was a day like any other, as far as Ava was concerned. Sure, she didn't quite get much sleep, but that comes with an overnight job. The family that she's been working for, a divorced mum and her three children, had a parent on a work trip, so she's spent the last few days sleeping at their house and looking after the young children. Speaking of, she makes a few faces at the baby in the stroller, while keeping a watchful eye on the two older children on the playground.
While they wouldn't typically be at the park this early on a weekend, the children's father needs to pick them up for a family event. Speaking of, she calls the kids back to her as their father arrives, taking the baby out of his stroller as well. The sweet ten month old grabs onto Avalona's long hair and places it in his mouth. Tutting, she removes it from his mouth, handing him a pacifier to calm him instead. As the man approaches, the children stick by Ava, unsure of which side to take in this early morning. "Go ahead" She gives them permission, though they really don't need it, to leave her care and run to their father. Laughing, she follows them, pointing to the man and asking the baby in her arms "Who's that? Is that daddy?". While this is a typical action, it is in fact strategic. This poor child hasn't really had the chance to bond with his father and instead sees Ava as his second parent. While it's sweet, it makes for chaotic dropoffs. So, she tries to get him excited about his father's arrival to make this process easier.
Handing the baby to the man, Avalona's heart pangs as the child begins crying and reaching for her. "It's okay sweetheart. Everything is just fine" She coos to him as the older children come grab their bags from her back. They each give her a hug and she wishes them well, before handing the diaper bag off to their father.
She is about to update him on the children's needs for the moment when he cuts her off, quite rudely if I might add. "That's hardly an appropriate outfit for watching my children. I hope you aren't imparting your ways on them" In response to this, Ava just blinks in shock. Sure, she is wearing a crop top, but she also has a cardaign on and it's rather warm today. In fact, the children's mother, Ava's actual employer, is a friend of hers and the two dress very similarly.
"I apologize sir. It won't happen-" She is cut off by the man turning his back and walking off with his kids. So, she's left in the middle of the park alone with an empty stroller and an apologetic look on her face.
Well, guess it's on to her free day at least.

aspen - magic mirrorthe P.I.A family dropoff. The man says something that upsets the woman, but she tries not to let it show. The kids are anxious about leaving her, but do anyway. She tries to say something to comfort them, but they don't really care. Boring. Next. A young couple, on a early morning date. Another man approaching, upset at them. Classic case of cheating. Next.
Over a cup of coffee, Aspen is observing the park before his new subject arrives, but everyone is so boring. Everything is the same. The same people ruining everything and being forgiven, over and over again. Every day. The same shit. Where is the excitement? Where is the new people? Where is his mother? God, every day in this place is like hell. The same things, happening over and over. And yet, nothing changes. No one changes. The same people hire him and the same people fire him.
Either way, that won't affect him much. It's not like his mom's case will suddenly be solved. So, he'll continue dissecting everything and everyone until something does change. So, he finishes up his coffee and throws it away, before heading back to the park bench where he will stay for a bit.

Pheobe - Tweedledeethe secret holderThankfully, no one has died recently. While that is a rather strange statement to start out with, as a mortician it's typically bad for business when no one dies. However, Phoebe is actually quite thankful for the break, as it means no one in her little town has died recently. Plus, being off of work for a bit means that she can spend more time with her friends and new boyfriend, Gabriel.
Speaking of the gorgeous human, she's on her way to bring him some breakfast this morning. By breakfast she means a danish, as she knows her sweets loving sweetheart would appreciate it.
Stepping out of her car, she grabs the paper bag and the two coffees before heading into the office. "Morning" She greets the officer at the front desk with a smile, though the woman pouts in response. "Nothing for me?" She teases, making Phoebe shake her head and chuckle. "I'm afraid you'd have to take me on a date first dear" She smiles before heading over to Gabriel's office.

theodore - milo thatchthe nerdThankfully, this job wasn't that bad. As a plumber, Theodore's job can get pretty...hairy. But this early in the morning, he's pretty glad he doesn't have to deal with any of that. So, with the job done, he heads into the local cafe to get some breakfast. He smiles as soon as he enters, trying his best to appear as friendly as possible.
"Good morning, could I get a blueberry muffin and some hot cocoa?" He asks, while pulling out his money. With his food and drink in hand, Theodore finds a place to sit and dive into his book. He finds an armchair near the window and pulls out his book, a novel on Henry VIII's late wives. Quite intriguing and the author is taking a feminist viewpoint, which is quite refreshing.
Ow fuck that cocoa is hot!

harley - white rabbitthe stuck upGreat. Another civil case. Now, that's not to say Harley doesn't enjoy smaller cases, but she's growing a bit bored. Though she's constantly busy, she's doing the same things over and over. Honestly, the cycle is enough to make anyone a bit dizzy. But Harley simply doesn't have time for that. Instead, she continues. Doing paperwork, visiting clients, attending meetings. She simply doesn't have the time or energy to think about change.
Adjusting the clip in her hair, Harley focuses in on her paperwork. She has to look over this and sure, it may be the weekend but her client wanted this done yesterday. Fuck. Taking another swig of her espresso, Harley decides a change of scenary may help her work. She's not sure where she's going yet, but she needs to get away from this desk. It's giving her a crick in her neck and she can't stand the silence anymore.
Walking down the street, Harley weighs her options. A coffee shop, a park, anywhere but here.
