Kinsley Ann Ibanez • "Kins" • 24 • Female • Graphic Designer • The Ghoulies
• History •
Marco Ibanez and Julie Payne were Riverdale High sweethearts. Some even said they were soulmates. Their high school romance followed them into college, where they became the campus' leading partiers. Boy, were they wild and crazy... and completely irresponsible. In their sophomore year, Julie became pregnant. The pair were painfully unfit to be parents. There was just no sugarcoating that fact. Kinsley's future would have been grim if they were allowed to steer the ship, something Marco's parents realized very early on. For their granddaughter's well-being, they fought for custody of her and won. After they handed their baby girl over to a couple who actually cared about her, her parents were never heard from again. Oh, her grandparents tried to get in contact with them, but their efforts were in vain. So without so much as a single generic birthday card from her parents, Kinsley grew up in Riverdale. At first she lived on the Northside, her grandfather's used car lot and her grandmother's bakery keeping the unique little family in a comfortable house on the right side of the tracks. However, just before her thirteenth birthday (still not even a card from her folks), the car lot went under and they found themselves in a tough financial state. They wound up having to move to the Southside later that year. At that time, Kinsley was struggling. Y'see, she was always the odd one out. She was technically a Northsider, but she didn't fit in with the crowd. She... had her issues, even as a young child, but a kid like her surely would. While she initially took the move hard, but it didn't take her very long to adjust, especially once she realized how much better she fit in with the more rough and tumble Southside kids. In fact, on her first day of school in the new district, she made a friend! That friend, Verne, would wind up being her partner in crime. At first figuratively, but as they got older... literally. Oh, she was a delinquent, all right. It seemed like raising hell was one of the few ways she could suppress the emotional baggage that she had courtesy of her parents. Raising hell and... art. Yes, art. She was always a very artistic kid. Her favorite toys as a little girl were her coloring books and crayons. That turned into a love for traditional art as she got older, specifically drawings and paintings. Creating art was her escape. It was a way she could express herself. It was her passion.

As high school went on, Kinsley found herself dabbling with digital art, as well, and it didn't take long for it to become her main focus, even if Southside High's art program left, well, everything to be desired. Southside High left plenty to be desired in a lot of areas. It was a gateway into a dangerous world and yet Kinsley felt at home there. In fact, despite her grandfather's wishes, she joined the Ghoulies alongside Verne. How she didn't wind up arrested was nothing short of a miracle. She got into a lot of trouble, yet never landed behind bars. Perhaps it was because she didn't want to create problems for her grandparents, even though there were several times that would have suggested she felt otherwise. She loved them dearly, she really did. That was why she worked hard at school despite her after school antics. Somehow she wound up with a scholarship that enabled her to go to college after her time at Southside High was done. With her grandparents' proud support, she packed her bags and set off to earn a degree in graphic design. Unfortunately, she would never be handed that degree. The sophomore year of college just wasn't a lucky year for the Ibanezes. At the start of Kins' sophomore year, her grandfather passed away unexpectedly from a heart attack. She refused to leave her grandmother alone so rather than return to college after the depressing procedures, she stayed in Riverdale, living with her grandma who retired from the baking business a year prior. Even though she was without a degree, Kins managed to start her own graphic and web design business a little while after she returned home. The Ibanez women lived as bachelorettes for two years until, after a sudden decline in her health, her grandmother passed away. For the most part, she stayed out of the Ghoulies' dealings while she was supporting her grandmother, just for the elderly woman's peace of mind, but once she was on her own Kinsley returned to gang life completely. A little more than a year later, she found herself in a relationship with the Ghoulie King himself, Malachai. They lasted longer than most onlookers probably thought they would, but about four months ago they "split up". Technically, they were done, but Malachai insisted that they keep up the act when around other people. Why? Well, to be honest, Kinsley never really found out why. He always brushed it off or managed to wiggle out of giving her a straight answer. She went along with it, seeing as she didn't plan on pursuing another relationship any time soon, but it's beginning to take a toll on her... or more like aggravate her.

• Description •

Leaning towards the side of petite, Kinsley is a slender, almost delicate looking woman. Her pale skin is a stark contrast to her raven black hair, which falls down to her chest in gentle waves. Soft curves compliment her feminine frame. What is most noticeable about her is not her physique or her hair, but her eyes. The icy blue irises have been described as striking in the past and that description is pretty spot on. They display her emotions well and can serve to either lure someone in or scare them away depending on her mood. Often hidden by her typically form fitting clothes is a skull tattoo, her only tattoo. It can be found on her right side, just beneath her chest. More often than not, she can be found wearing some form of healed shoe or boot to give herself the extra height she wishes she had.
