The chosen used their gifts to vanquish demons, and purify corruption. This caused a shift in the balance which did not go unnoticed by the demon lords. As the blessed grew in numbers, the demons realized they had to commit genocide to tip the scales back in their favor. The outcome was an all-out war between exorcists and demons. However, the exorcists found fighting with their gifts alone was not enough to win. So they searched for alternative methods. What they found was hypocritical to their way of life. A pact between a lesser demon to boost an exorcist’s power by borrowing infinite mana from their partner. Together, they worked to change the tide of war on an equal plain.
Today in the modern world, the war continues to rage on, but with the help of demon allies, exorcists continue to hold their ground. Parts of the world remain infested, and require assistance to purify the region. Thankfully, exorcists continue their work under the rule of the government by establishing sectors across the world. These sectors are academies meant to train new recruits such as demons and humans alike to be in tip top shape for the ongoing war provided with housing and payment per mission.
Only five sectors have been built as the government continues to expand their organization worldwide. Currently, a new sector has made its home in a city called, Valenheim. A plagued city still held captive in the hands of demons. Its origins are a mystery, and for some reason it is the most popular area where demons roam. To any who wish to join, welcome. As for the demons, please behave for your partner, and good luck.
Rules & Basics
Exorcists- Are graced with power by the light god Lucis. They can cast spells using internal mana borrowed from Lucis as well as their unique power (such as water manipulation, firekenetic abilities etc, of your choosing)
Demon- Each demon comes from a different realm, unintentionally slipped into the mortal realm. The type of demon you play as is a lesser demo fond of the mortal plain which allows them to be cooperative. They will not be sentient until a pact is forged. Their powers are attached to their realm of which they cannot talk about.
- There are five slots open
- You may play as an Exorcist or a Demon
- You must be active and post once a week. If you don't respond within a month you will be warned
- This is a partnership between players so its imperative to be active and considerate towards your partner and give a heads up
- There will be occasional collabs in this RP
- Lore/ information is found on discord as is the OOC.
- One character per person so choose wisely
- The story has started but is still in the beginning stages of forging a pact with their demon partner. We are trying to recruit more people ^-^ (we have cookies)
