Kalinda, Alicorn of the Sun, Princess of Light, bearer of the elements of Magic, Kindess, and Generosity. Lived for years in peace alongside her sister Chandra, Alicorn of the moon, Princess of the Night and bearer of the other three elements; Honesty, Loyalty, and Laughter. The sisters brought both Night and Day to the world. However the ponies below them seemed to change as time went on.
The Sisters noticed that the ponies would head to work, stay inside, or spend as little time as possible during the day. While at night many would come out to see the stars, relish in the cool night air, and this is where the rift started. The ponies seemed to love the night over the day, the wonders of the moon and stars, the creatures that once ran and hid came out in the darker hours. Fillies and Colts could run and play without fear of getting too hot or sunburned.
The Ponies came to adore Chandra, oftentimes asking her to use the stars in shows, or making a star for a group of fillies or colts who longed to see her magic work. Her sister had nothing but clouds in her sky, besides her sun. The ponies seemed disinterested.
One day her sister grew tired of the treatment she received. She felt ignored, unloved, unappreciated. Her light brought life to the trees and plants, her clouds brought water and storms, she felt cheated, she felt as if she was not being given her dues.
As time went on her heart hardened, her emotions darkened with each day, until one day the darkness consumed the 'lesser light'. Kalinda, as she raised her sun declared that no longer would the sun be 'lesser' but an attempt at being the greater for once. She would no longer yield the sky to the Moon, the dark magic she gave into changed her, warped her into something more terrifying then any pony had seen before.
The beloved sister, Chandra, could do nothing, the battle lasted an entire day, and Luna used everything she had-including the Elements. She had no choice but to banish her beloved sister, sending her to the sun that her sister so loved, for a thousand summers until one day the eclipse would aide her escape.
Chandra had no choice, once her sister was gone, she took on the weight of the world on her own shoulders, she raised both Sun and Moon, careful not to cross their paths, not wanting to remind herself of the past. She took in an apprentice, a filly named Dusk Runner who showed great potential, however even that did little to quell her uneasy heart.
Soon though, the thousandth winter has passed, the Summer Solstice is upon the world, now, Solar Flare will return, and the Sun will burn its brightest. Can Equestria survive another great war, or can Dusk find the elements and save them before it comes to a battle?

Thousands of years ago two groups of animals lived together on Earth. Those with sharp teeth were named the Predators, those with flat teeth were called Prey. The Prey animals would travel in groups in hopes that they would be safe from Predators, and over time, the Prey animals developed a 'Tame Collar' that they would put on the Predators and when the Predators got too emotional they were shocked to remind themselves to stay in line and to live peacefully.
When a Predator-Child turns five years old the Law of Zootopia decrees that they must wear their shock collar and every year it MUST be adjusted to accommodate the growth of the Child if any that had taken place in the past year, sooner if needed however only a trained Doctor would adjust the Shock-Collar to assure that it is not removed permanently. This was the way of life as it had been for centuries and will be until the end of time. Or is it?

Dragons, nature's greatest mystery. Gem harvesters and magic users. They roam the land living in groups or alone, some at peace with the other creatures of the earth, and some not. Our story begins with two dragons: Nari and Tyros. Nari and Tyros were as close as brothers could be. They lived on an Island that was home to many types of dragons from small garden dragons to large Night Wing dragons that were larger then twenty twolegs stacked end to end.
Twolegs, the dragons weren't prepared for them, their metal claws and shiny scales, their flying teeth. They hunted the Dragons for their scales and bones. When the humans turned to Dragon Island thats when things changed. Nari and Tyros were still young, their wings barely strong enough to lift them off the ground. They couldn't fly and in the battle between humans and dragons all they could do was huddle together.
Until Alran. The skinny twoleg hatchling. He found the dragons and hid them in his leather bag, and he saved them from the island destruction. The twolegs that attacked the island soon succumbed to both wounds and fire, the island's Dragon Alpha using the last of its life to destroy the island and the twolegs on it. Alran barely got off in time, he took them to the village and raised the hatchlings in secret, and as they grew he would move them from place to place, eventually they got too big, their presence would no longer be able to be masked. However Alran managed to show the twolegs of his village the dragons were swift hunters, fast travelers, and useful for tasks around the village.
Nari however wasn't happy. The white dragon longed for the island once called home. And in the darkness of night, left the village. Tyros was saddened but understood the want to be around other dragons. He stayed with Alran, and soon managed to help others get dragons as well, being the 'villages' Dragon Alpha.
Years passed and Alran grew from boy to man and Tyros from youngling to full Dragon. After an attack from rouge dragons Alran and Tyros follow the direction they flew in and found a new Dragon island, with Nari as the new Island Alpha. The two brothers views clash, Nari believes that the humans should not attack any of the dragons on the island even if they did attack the human dragons, and Tyros wanted the dragons to face judgement for what they did to the humans dragons.
The two brothers clashed, and during the battle Alran witnessed a new power from Tyros. His power seemed to make his scales glow, his eyes grew white, however he saw the same change in Nari however the other dragons eyes grew black, and when the two clashed, he fell off, and the three fell into the ocean. Light surrounded the two dragons, and crystals encased them.
Time passed, however the two dragons instead reverted, they returned to the young hatchling age they were before they grew apart, one with the powers of Fire and Lightning, the other with Ice and Earth.

The Explanation: Residents of Elsewhere age backward until infancy, when they are "released," or sent back downriver to be reborn on Earth. (Its a book I read I don't remember who its by)
Thats where you end up, you awaken from your death to find yourself on a cruise ship, anything you want will appear to make the ride that more comfortable until the boat docks. Elsewhere is its only little paradise. The Observatory deck on the watch tower that marks the center of town has thirteen coin operated binoculars, you put a coin in, and you can observe the ones you left behind for five minutes. The less known way to vocally communicate with loved ones is through the Well, however to do so risks trapping your soul between the two realms and you'd be stuck there until your soul is washed away by the water and you will never be Released.
"Think of Elsewhere like New York, except cleaner, nicer, and greener. There are many jobs and some are even gifted with Talents that allow them to excel in Elsewhere. What are the talents you may ask? Well some can talk to dogs, physically talk to them, however others cannot understand the whimpers and barks the Translator hears as words. You could be able to instantly know whats wrong with a piece of technology just by looking at it and can fix it making you an Electrician. Basically if you could be it while living you can be it in Elsewhere although animal Translators is something that appeared in Elsewhere to help pets understand that they are dead and the pets are placed with residents in Elsewhere until they too are released.
