  hello! i am butterly aubade (formerly known as deer of 9 colours). this is my second ever partner search thread on this site. i'm an advanced, literate roleplayer who suffers from a mild (read: chronic) case of laziness. this means my reply lengths may be inconsistent if my muse suffers, and as such, i may take anywhere from a day to a week to reply. i generally try to write good quality replies, no matter the length, as i value quality over quantity. my roleplaying tastes/interests are pretty broad, and i'd like to think that i'm up for just about anything. (i try to keep an open mind and ask that you do the same). the one thing that i am adamant about is that the roleplay must be written in past tense and in third person. i would greatly prefer if my partners are able to play multipe characters, as i like a diverse cast. (multiple genders, sexual orientations, ethnicities, all that good stuff). i tend to gravitate towards original characters and plots, but i do roleplay some fandoms (listed in tab 3). i'm just extremely self-conscious when roleplaying canon character for fear that i'm not playing the correctly. other than that, feel free to shoot me a pm if you think we'd vibe. :]

  (bittersweet reminiscence // estranged exes // hollywood)
  muse a and muse b were childhood sweethearts. they grew up together and eventually fell in love. after college, the two planned to move in together --- only to have muse b bail out on their plans, confessing to harboring secret aspirations to move to los angeles to become a singer. a fight ensues. the two break up. 8 years pass. muse b, rewarded for their sacrifices and toils is now a notable singer-songwriter with multiple hits making the billboard hot 100. as their career gains traction, the management team gears up to film a music video for their latest single. in preparation, they hire a production crew, of which muse a is the newly hired "director of photography." sparks fly.

  muse a is a piano prodigy, having gained acceptance into one of the most prestigious music academies in the entire country and performed on stages like carnegie hall about a dozen times before the age of 10. their life is perfect: rich family, flourishing career, a place amongst the society of high art. until, it's not. after a tragic car accident, their hands sustain critical damage, with full recovery being next to impossible. muse b is the sibling of the driver that crashed into muse a's car. talk about an intense meet cute.

  muse a and muse b have been friends since they can remember --- and as time progressed on, the line between "friend" and "something more" became increasingly blurred. before they could acknowledge these mutual affections, muse a dies (quite unexpectedly). their death is ruled a homicide. muse b is beside themselves with grief...until muse a makes an unexpected return as a ghostly apparition, asking for muse b's help to find their killer, as their soul cannot rest until they do.

  muse a and muse b grew up together. then, a's mother passed away, and unable to bear the grief, their father decided to move them back to his home country. years pass. b, having grown up in a low income household, dropped out of high school to start working full time, taking on crappy retail and manual labor jobs to help make ends meet. after taking up a job as a part time moving company employee, a and b's lives clash once more. a, successful and wealthy, has just bought a vacation home and is looking for a groundskeeper.
