Nozomu High
May 4th

The sun rose on another fine day, Monday was always a dreaded day for students and a tired look hung upon some of them as they walked through the main gate of Nozomu high. So far it has been around a month since the beggining of the school year and most of the students are settling into their new classes. Wide eyed first years are soaking in the high school life, second years are already regreting their choices, and third years have started counting dowm the days until graduation.

Although there is one thing that's on everyone's mind, the yearly school festival. Fliers have been hung up around the school, displayimg the dates May 23rd and the 24th, just over three weeks away. Classes have eagerly disscussed what they should do, maid cafe, a play, haunted house? The possibilities were endless, but never the less most classes haven't made a decision.

But for now students are gathering in their homerooms and waiting for the school day to begin.

(We won't be rping classes themselves unless somethimg important is going on. Also characters in the same year will be in the same class, so 1st years will be with other 1st, 2nd with other 2nd and so on)

The sun had shone effervescently against the writhing crowds, breeze warm and welcoming despite the exhaustion that loomed over the majority of Nozomu High’s students. And yet, it was just another dull Monday, nothing too special. Save for the fine opportunity of reuniting with school friends, of course. But Emi didn’t have many friends, not close ones at least. Besides, that was the least of her worries, why? SHE HAD TO MAKE IT TO CLASS ON TIME.

Black shoes thudded furiously against the polished school grounds, heart racing a mere thousand beats per a minute as she practically soared towards her homeroom class, locks of hair flying about. And to think, this wouldn’t have happened if Seita hadn’t left his science project until the very last minute or if Setsuko hadn’t been absolutely terrified of the monsters underneath her bed... She was never having kids, ever. For, with all the time it had taken to settle her siblings down, Emi hadn’t gotten an ounce of sleep last night, hence the sleeping in, hence her tardiness. She was doomed.

And if things couldn’t get any WORSE, just as the hopeful girl rounded the corner, she was met with yet another poor and unsuspecting body. A head-on collision, if you will. Tumbling to the ground, Emi groaned as her belongings scattered beside her, rear end sore with the harsh impact of the ground. But there was no time to focus on that, she had to apologi! And so, clambering onto her feet, Emi extended a bashful hand to her victim.

“Oh god, I’m SO sorry... Are you okay?”

It was just a normal Monday, Kuno spent the time getting his grandparents breakfast ready and making sure they had everything they'd need for the day, grandmother brewing a pot of tea for the kids and Kuno rushing about with his shirt half on looking for his homework. Which was already in his shoulder bag along with his phone and other assorted things that were also 'missing' from his morning routine. Fortunately, his grandmother saved the morning by handing him his bag and thermos full of the fresh brew to take with him. Even making sure to watch him take his medication before releasing the boy out into the world.

Said world was now very much in his face when Kuno found himself being knocked facedown on the floor, just barely saving his drink in the process of eating a floor tile. One arm saved him from absolutely face planting and was responsible for raising him back onto his heels to take the hand offered in help to get him up. "Agh- well that was a bit of a suprise. But its fine. Didn't break anything so its all fine." If he had spilled something then maybe it would be more of a problem though everything seemed fine. "Running late I'm guessing? Nobody runs through here too often." Maybe speed-walked, possibly but nobody really needed to book it unless they were in danger of missing attendance. Kuno wasn't seeing as he was standing outside his classroom waiting for others to be getting in. No fun being the first one there and sitting in an empty classroom.

"You alright then? Need help picking things up?" It seemed everything was pretty well scattered across the hall. Papers, pencils, book sitting in between them which he bent down to grab and hand back to her. "Kuno. Nice to meet ya. Better to have had a more uhh formal introduction I suppose. But lets get the hall cleaned up before people start walking on things." He didn't even wait, setting his thermos by the door to go about collecting a few of the papers.

Tamura never really understood what was wrong with Monday. Was it the mornings? To her, every morning was the same; she'd wake up, make herself look nice, and say goodbye to Mother despite never getting a response. Maybe it was because of school? Tamura never had any real issues, but after watching enough high school animes she had a basic idea of what some people experienced. She lost herself in daydreams as she walked down the school hall, enjoying her alone time in the sunlight that shone in through the windows.

Of course, the alone time was interrupted by the chatter of the occasional passersby. They didn't bother her, and she didn't bother them. However, strange happenings would befall them as she passed by. As one boy chugging his drink and his friends passed her, she turned after hearing him gag. His friends were laughing as he held the bottle out, coughing out the liquid that went down the wrong pipe. She heard one of them say something about bad luck, and she shrugged and continued down the hall. "Ah, just my luck," a girl said as a drink from a vending machine stuck itself between the glass and shelf. Tamura quietly laughed to herself as she walked on.

One glance at the phone let her know that it was almost time for attendance. Her class was close, so it didn't bother her all that much. Shortly after passing an intersection, two bodies crashed behind her. She wanted to help, but the guy was already doing so. Besides, the scene reminded her of those high school romance animes, making Tamura hug her diary against herself, covering her smirking mouth with it. She pretended to have not noticed the collision, making her way slowly over to the 1st Year homeroom.

If Tamura had to be honest, she wasn't looking forward to high school. All she could do in middle school was work and walk around during break. The people didn't act like in the anime, and it was boring. Unlike her first year in middle school, though, she had her diary by her side. She kept it inside her uniform, not taking a single chance of losing it. Filling every page was the special events that happened in her life. Wishing to recall some of those memories, she sat against a wall and opened the book. Ah, yes, there was that one time when she witnessed Father smack Mother! When he left, she had a red mark on her cheek and was crying and staying in bed all day. Even though they both ignored her all day, she felt terrible. Flipping to another page, Tamura had a rush of excitement over remembering that time in middle school when she was chosen as part of a play. During the performance, right after Tamura had played her part and went to the safety of backstage, the light rigging fell as the two main characters kissed. The boy lost his leg, the girl became paralyzed, and it took five hours for the firefighters to get them out. She had fun; of course, not for the final bit, but she was glad to have been there.

To any passing person, it looked as if Tamura was enjoying herself in reading whatever book it was. They would be right, as she mainly focused on the good parts of her memories, and made sure to always, always smile, even if she felt sad. Just like Mother said.

Emi’s face flushed in embarrassment at her own inattentiveness, afraid that many others had witnessed the colossal incident. Though luckily, it had seemed that no one really had. That or this wasn’t the absolute craziest thing to have happened on a Monday morning in Nozomu High. She was leaning toward the latter. Shaking her wits clean, the young woman plastered on a lopsided smile as the young man introduced himself. He seemed to be more youthful, energetic than she- possibly an underclassmen? Regardless, his kindness was much appreciated... She didn’t know what she’d do if it had been anyone else.

Brown eyes widened ever so slightly as the kid began picking at her mercilessly scrambled objects. “Oh... You don’t need to, I’m sure you have a class to get to, I can do it on my ow-“ But just as she was about to finish with her sluggish protest, the boy was already bent toward the floor, aimed hands shuffling the many papers that she’d have to reorganize later.... Well, she didn’t have much of a choice, now did she? Stooping for her pencil case, Emi mimicked Kuno’s aid by stacking some of the notebooks that had practically flown past, smiling discreetly at the strangers decency. “My name’s Emi by the way,” She began with a tinge of reluctance. “ And I wish I could say that it was nice to meet you, buuutttt given the circumstances, I think we could’ve done much better.” She quipped hastily.

Upon realization that she was mere seconds away from being late for class, Emi politely took the papers from the boy’s hands, holding them tightly to her chest as she began to stand. “I’ve got to get going, thanks for your help, Kuno.” She offered a thankful bow of her head before swiftly turning on her heal, silently hoping that she hadn’t left anything behind.

~

Thankfully, her homeroom hadn’t been too far from where the accident had occurred and Emi was able to arrive practically milliseconds before the bell had rung- literally, it rang just as the door had fallen shut. Earning her a rather judgemental glance from her some of peers and one deeply disappointed look from their professor. Jeez, was everyone in a bad mood today? Releasing a heavy sigh, Emi slung here heavy book bag to rest underneath her desk, head falling to lay on the wood for a few minutes. Just five minutes was all she needed.

Momiji Itō

The sun shone down on an all too familiar cobblestone path and next to it was a lake with blue crystalline clear water. The grass on the lake bank was glimmering from morning dew. It was one that he would actually go to a lot in his boyhood - his fondest memory being when he was actually thrown into said lake by his grandad to 'learn to be a man'.

This path was the long, scenic route that Momiji had chosen to go to school today. In theory there were two paths he could have taken: the bustling main roads filled to the brim with people trying to get to work, school or just trying to make quick money (which admittedly was the faster route) or his current route which added ten minutes to his journey. Not that he minded - he hated main roads. More specifically, all the commotion that came with main roads. If he was going to be late then he was going to be late, not much he could do there.

He put a hand over his mouth as he tried to stifle a slow approaching yawn. He felt his eyes sting and tear up before he started to rub them. Perhaps practicing all night wasn't such a good idea. His hands still slightly red and raw to the touch. It was annoying but he couldn't imagine what else would he be doing. He used to wonder if his hobbies would be different if his parents actually allowed him to have access to technology - but that was a fleeting thought of a younger boy. One who wasn't as sure of himself as he could be. Momiji would like to say he's definitely more confident nowadays. But what he has in confidence he clearly lacks in the social department.

He sighed as he saw the school building approach in his line of sight but quickly changed his expression when he saw Rio Futaba – his one and only (sadly) friend at this school. Not that he didn’t like her company, he just hoped maybe more people would be like Rio and actually try to talk to him. He shuddered recalling the incident of someone in his year running away from him because he was going to ‘shoot them with an arrow’. He would never do that, what a waste of an arrow!

"You're actually on time for once" Rio grinned.
"I know, it's disgusting" he replied with a slightly bitter tone, causing Rio to chuckle.
"You know what would make it less disgusting? Attempting to finally make friend number two!" Rio said in a sing-song voice as Momiji deadpanned.
"Remember Momiji, smiling won't kill you okay! You never know, you might make someones day!" Rio yelled as they split ways for their different homeroom classes.

He looked at his seat, more specifically to the seat mate behind him. Tamura Ayano. He never made an attempt to talk with her before. He didn't even know anything about her. Would it be awkward if he suddenly tried? He didn't know. He could slowly feel heat rise towards his ears as he shuffled his way towards his seat. Okay, he was going to this. He just needed stay calm.He turned around in his seat to face Tamura. He tried (really he did) to put on his best smile. His mind was drawing a blank. What to talk about? How do people strike up conversations? Are conversations even a real concept?

"So, how did you find the maths homework?" he asked, cringing internally.

Igor stepped out of his brothers loft apartment and walked out of the small apartment building where he and his brother lived. Alex had slept in and Igor didn't bother to wake him, his hours were flexible and Alex was probably to valuable to the company for them to care about him being late. Igor had made it just out of the front door before he realized he had forgotten something very important back in the apartment. "Ahhh son of a bitch..." he groaned as he turned around and ran back up and grabbed his guitar case. Alex had just woken up and was in the living room and was walking around in PJ pants and an old shirt, he barely had time to register the streak that was his brother running into the apartment, grabbing something, and then running out as fast as he came in.

he walked lazily into the music room of the school, some of the band kids who were there looked at him with apprehension, he quietly walked over to the corner where the jam club kids kept their stuff. He deposited his guitar next to Kenshi Yoshida's half assembled drum kit, Must've come in early. He thought to himself as he began his walk to his homeroom class. The windows were open most places and he could smell the scent of spring on the light breeze blowing. He made sure no teachers were around when he pulled the formerly tucked uniform shirt. Paired with the black jeans he had used as a substitute for uniform pants, he hated uniforms. It was good for him that most of the school staff didn't really care.
Igor was noticing the height difference between the people in the states and Japan, he towered of most people in the school, and he found he wouldn't have to worry about getting lost in the sea of bodies.

Igor finally entered his homeroom, some people gave him looks, it didn't matter, if they wanted to take it outside, they would learn the meaning of American muscle. He saw Kenshi sitting in a desk across the room, as he made his way over to try and find a seat close to his friend he felt a sudden pressure on his foot, and that pressure turned into pain as he found that a book bag had been dropped on his foot. He made a grunting sound in the back of his throat as he felt the textbooks crush the flimsy running shoe he was wearing. A collective inhale could heard from most of the class after they had registered what just happened.

Once Kuno finally helped the girl- Emi, get back to rushing to her class while he headed in to take his seat in the back corner away from the window. He enjoyed being tucked back away from anyone breathing down his neck so it was the most reasonable place to be able to relax without thinking if the back of his head looked awkward or not. A hard-learned lesson from year one when he was sat at the front to supposedly be able to pay attention better. Instead of having a near everyday breakdown Kuno found his home in the back. It never looked good to his teachers to be sitting so far away but he'd show off his painfully average grades and disposition. Sometimes it paid off being pretty normal. There were some other spots in the back, shockingly it seemed people wanted to be upfront as of late.

At least he finally made it and got comfortable with a bit of time to spare to finally take a long sip of his drink, earning a happy sigh from the boy before he went about dragging his books and papers out of the messenger bag. "Alright, good morning so far. Good. Helped someone with their stuff, nearly broke my tooth but I didn't so that's fine.." Mumbling, as always, didn't exactly give off the approachable vibe though at the least there was an easygoing smile plastered on his face. This was already better than last years first day where he got lost and ended up locked into an empty classroom because that was just the hand that was dealt. The sun was out, windows unfortunately closed, but that would change as soon as someone had the guts to pop one open. It made for better classtime.

Only possible problem was the fact he had rolled his ankle the night before during his nightly dance practice so it just had to go and give him a painful twinge every minute or so while he nervously bounced his foot up and down on the floor to get out some nervous energy.

Feeling so bold as to maybe be ok with someone sitting next to him for once. Really branching out. That more than likely wouldn't happen but one could hope, and eventually be relieved or excited depending on how it went. If only his sister wasn't in the year ahead.

Oda Kiyoshi

With the smell of freshly brewed coffee Oda weaved his way through his Uncle's cafe, some older regulars gave the student a freindly morning greeting as he passed. "Don't get into any trouble kid," Oda's uncle barked as he got to the door, "don't worry about me'" Oda groand swonging the door open and hiving his Uncle a wave before setting out into the bustling streets. Oda was pretty confident finding his way to school, though if he strayed too far from the main roads then he'd certainly get lost in the concrete labyrinth that is Tokyo.

Oda didn't have any trouble getting to school today, sure large crowds suck but at least nothing bad happened. But maybe Oda's luck was starting to turn around this week, from the looks of it Hirano wasn't here, either he was just skipping class or bis aggresive sense of justice was getting him into trouble. Although it didn't really matter to Oda he wasn't reallt worried, Hirano was more than capable of defending himself, but at least for today Oda will get some peace and quiet.

Walking into his homeroom Oda could already feel the stares from his peers, looks like they haven't forgotten about the locker room incident. He could hear some if tge girls whisper, "thats him, the pervert," as he got settled down in his seat. Maybe his luck wasn't changing towards the bettet after all.

Today just wasn’t her day, was it? At this point the senior was wondering if high school was really worth all of the misfortune, all of the embarrassment. After all, she could always take up farming, y’know, become self sufficient in that sense. Or perhaps monkhood? I mean sure it would cost her her hair AND her liberty, but maybe laying low would be best for now... Yeah, that sounded like a great idea. For, the very hairs on Emi’s arms began to rise at the sudden signal of tension, the united gasps of pure terror only solidifying the reality. The reality that Emi Miyagawa was about to die.

The ambiance was thick with anticipation, each student vying for her reaction, her cowering apology. And so, slowly raising her head, Emi began to silently pray to whoever was listening- Buddha, Hachiman, Christ, Satan, anyone. Why, surely she’d need them all. Brown eyes had trailed on for what seemed to be hours until she was finally assaulted with the deadly gaze of her second victim. Oh no. She gulped, heart nearly halting at the sight of her peer’s towering frame. She was going to die.

“U-uh” The girl sputtered dumbfoundedly, unable to pinpoint the right words, the words that the rational, unafraid Emi would use. Although, what was lacking verbally, was reimbursed physically. Reaching for her bag, Emi lifted the useless sack from off of the man’s poor foot, partly feeling sorry for him as well as herself. And so, pulling the bag onto her lap, she reckoned that she would be able to use it as some sort of defence if need be.

“Please don’t murder me.” She squeaked.

Tamura Ayano

As usual, Tamura made it to class right on time. As luck would have it, none of her old school mates were here, so no familiar faces, nor anything of comfort. Besides her diary, of course, which she still kept inside her uniform. She was just minding her own business, spending her time in her own little world of imagination as she would every time she was alone. Which, now that she thought about it, was 98% of middle school. But, the good things of having nobody talk to you was how much Tamura could focus on school and do well in class. She was so used to being left alone that Tamura let out an "Eek!" when the student in front of her snapped her back to reality.

After getting a good look at him, Tamura knew that he was Momiji Ito, the boy who sat in front of her. She never really bothered to think about him, and she thought he was doing the same with her, just like everyone in middle school would. She thought it weird for their first interaction to be about math homework, but she supposed that she was quite smart when it came to the homework. "The math homework? Well... it was easy. Why? Do you need help on it?"

Having someone talk to her was an extremely rare occurrence, and her parents yelling at her didn't count. Just say what you always say in these situations, Tamura thought to herself, looking back up at Momiji's face. A mistake on her part, as she learned a long time ago that locking eyes with a boy (or girl for some strange reason) made her feel weird. Tamura felt her cheeks warm and she threw her face into her sleeve on the desk as if she were bored and tired to try and hide the uncontrollable blush that cursed Tamura.

Igor winced when she lifted the bag of his foot. "It's fine." he mumbled to her as he limped over to the seat next to her. It was one of the only seats open. His foot was throbbing, he felt like cursing, and now he probably wouldn't be able to stand, let alone use his distortion pedal now. He was having an extra bad case of Monday's, and it would probably get worse with how the day had gone so far.

He got a little mad when she said something about killing her, people always made him out to be a druggie or one of the bad kids or a delinquent as they were called in Japan, just because he was tall and scary looking. He could see Kenshi silently laughing in the corner he waited for the teacher to turn around before throwing the bird at Kenshi.

He sighed and looked over to the girl sitting next to him. "Just cause I'm tall and muscular means I'm a delinquent huh." he said calmly as he tried to ignore the throbbing pain in his foot. "Do you honestly believe I would hit a girl?" he asked in a half joke tone, he wasn't exactly a great conversationalist, but it was a start.

Miyuku Kozaki
Smaller gurl.png

Miyuku left a 2nd-year classroom after talking to a few students inside and making sure some of the new transfers from other parts of Japan and even a few exchange students were adjusting well to the school. As part of the student council, one of Miss Kozaki's jobs was checking on students who may need assistance or have trouble fitting in, making sure they were on good standing as the year begins. This was a job the Miyuku loved to do as it allowed her to meet a lot of students from other grades, which leads to new friendships. Having friends was important especially for someone as busy as herself. Working at her Mom's workshops on the weekends and studying and getting top grades of her grade while also being on the student council and president of two clubs she almost never had time to really meet people. Not to mention that she often went back to Germany on vacations. Miyuku was a little out of touch in the social department, though it was nothing she couldn't handle. She had a lot of more free time this year and she was sure to put it to good use.

After making her way down to the 1st year classrooms, the tall girl white-haired girl had one last student to meet. Ms.Ayano, who apparently had a record of bad luck in her previous schools which had the possibility of turning into rumors, shunning, and even worse; bullying. Something Miyuku couldn't tolerate no matter what. Though it was all probably fine and she was just over worrying. That happened a lot. A popular, top grades, tall, student council girl with a heart of gold, she was a walking anime troupe. It wasn't bad in any way, but it did end up making her the eye of many guys in the school of which all have been denied. If not increasing her stereotype status which only made people ask more.

Entering the last classroom on her pilgrimage through the school Miyuku spotted Ms.Ayano talking to another student. "Mr.Itō, if you need help with your math homework, don't hesitate to drop by the student council office during free periods, I would be more than happy to help you." She started as she walked over to the two. Class was going to start soon, though technically Miyuku had permission to take as much time as she needed, of course, she didn't want to take anymore the necessary. "Actually I'm here for Ms.Ayano. Would you mind speaking to me in the hall? You're in no trouble I assure you, simply want to check over a few things is all."

Tamura Ayano

The first thing that Tamura noticed of the girl who walked into the room was; first, her height, and second, her massive rack. Being a whole foot shorter than the white-haired girl, it was only natural for Tamura's eyes to glue on them. She almost frowned upon looking at her own chest, which lacked immensely in comparison. She let Momiji know about going up to the student council office, wherever that was, if he needed help with homework. This relaxed Tamura a bit; she didn't know how else to help other than giving away the answer.

"Eh? Me?" Tamura blanched upon hearing the student council member wish to talk with her, though she immediately cooled when it was made clear she wasn't in trouble. Tamura held on to her diary tightly as she stood from her desk, already noticing the gap in height. If she wasn't in trouble, what would she need to be talked to for? The last time she was talked to by someone important in school was because Father was drunkenly wandering around campus like a madman and saying terrible, terrible things. There was also that time when Mother used to pack Tamura's lunch, and somehow misplaced a bag of what Tamura thought was tiny, white breath mints. She ate one, and the next thing she knew she was in the hospitable with the school principle and Mother. All of those talks started with something similar to "Don't worry, you're not in trouble." Was this something similar?

Either way, everything would turn out fine in the end. Maybe a bump here and there and some innocent passersby suffering an unlikely incident, but it always works out. "We'll talk later!" she said to Momiji with a little smile. Outside the window, a flock of crows flew by and stuck around, cawing loudly. As Tamura walked past one of the students at the front who attempted to fly a paper airplane, he abruptly shouted as it flew back into his eye. The shout caused a kid sitting next to the window and on the verge of falling asleep to jolt up, the tang of his elbow colliding with the glass following after the shout. After the collision, he groaned in pain as the elbow just so happened to strike his funny bone.

The class' laughter was cut off when the door closed behind the two, and they were alone in the hallway. "So..." Tamura began, "what did you want to check over?" She kept her diary tight against her waist, black in cover with her name written in red.

Oda Kiyoshi

Reaching down and scooping up his bag, Oda swiftly took a quick peek just to make sure everything was... shit, his english textbook was gone. He must've left it on his desk at home. Despite his looks and his general attitude with school Oda was actually a pretty diligent student with good grades, with no friends growing up and no money for games or toys Oda spent most of his time either studying or exploring outside.

Great, just great the cursed Monday keeps continuing on a steady march to ruin Oda's week once again. Someone in here should have it, given that they're all in the same class, but the problem was who was going to lend it to him. Quickly breaking eye contact was a for sure a sign that they wouldn't help him out, but as his green eyes searched it looked like there was no heavenly savior among his peers. That is until Oda looked behind him, at the back row of class there was a guy diging out his books and mumbling to himself. Eyeing the textbook Oda got his attention, "hey do you mind if I borrow your english book for a sec, I just need to review somethin'"

Momiji would like to think that between fight or flight, he was much more of a fight type of guy. Not to toot his own horn or anything but he knew how to act. But here, upon listening to Tamura’s response he found himself freezing. If he could compare it anything it would be a a chihuahua facing off against a pit bull or something. Even though he was pretty sure Tamura couldn't hurt him in any way. He opened his mouth probably like five times trying to get a coherent sentence out but couldn’t feel anything come out his mouth. The heat that had previously been at his ears had now started to travel to his cheeks. Oh god. Maybe he shouldn’t have got himself into this. Maybe he wasn’t as confident as he thought he was. He also noticed her look down too, her cheeks becoming red.

Oh no, she was mortified by speaking to him. Was he that bad? Maybe he was.

He flinched and then turned to his right to see a girl approach them after addressing him. Basically, removing any or every excuse he had to talk to his seat mate. Did he need help with his math homework and did he need to go to the student council?

I don’t need help you dolt’ he thought in his head as he looked to the side.

The only thing good to come out of this situation was that it seemed like God had heard his prayer and decided to remove him from that awkward part of his conversation. Only to permanently remove the person he was talking to. He watched Tamura’s figure leave the room with the girl from the student council. How she even knew his name – he didn’t know.
He smiled when he heard her say that she would talk to him later but he was pretty sure that deep down, both of them knew that wasn’t going to happen.

He proceeded to shift in his seat until he faced the front of the class. He let out a huge sigh before lowering his head. He intended to lay his head on the table, not bang his forehead straight into it which is what ended up happening. He groaned before whining and letting out a small “owie”. Today really wasn’t his day huh.

"Haru, you have to come! I already told everyone you were, don't back out now!". Haruka felt his eye twitch as both he and his obnoxiously loud companion walked towards the school gates. He felt tension in his head rise. It wasn't even the afternoon yet.

"You said I was coming, I didn't say I was. And even if I was going to go - who goes to karaoke on a Monday? Let's do Friday instead." Haruka rebutted to his friend, Aoyama. If Haruka was honest, he loved Aoyama like his own brother - but that didn't mean that Haruka was invulnerable to getting annoyed by said brother.

"C'mon we can't do Friday! The girls are only here Monday and they're coming because you're going to be there!" Aoyama yelled before realising he was drawing attention to the both of them.

"That's even more reason for me to not go!" Haruka whisper yelled.

"Give the people what they want! The heartbreaker of Nozomu High School" Aoyama joked.

That served as the straw that broke the camels back for Haruka. He turned around and clipped Aoyama on the back of the head. The worst part of it? Aoyama was still laughing through his pain with smug grin that Haruka wanted to smack right off.

"Why are we friends again?" Haruka questioned as before waving at Aoyama as they parted.

Haruka was in class 3-A whilst Aoyama was in 3-B. The only blessing Haruka seemed to find this entire day. As he made his way towards the class 3-A door, he was stopped a few times by different people. It was at times like this that he wished first and second year him had kept his mouth shut and not socialise with every person that crossed his way. He made his way towards his seat and sat down before resting his chin on his hand. He looked outside the window as the bell rang and class started. He was completely in his own world for a short while until a loud noise occurred suddenly which caused him to flinch. He looked towards the source which was next to him. He saw Emi Miyagwa - the girl sat next to him - and Igor Vildra. The entire class was deadly quiet, save the two in sight.

Upon seeing the boy sit in the seat next to Emi, he shifted slightly in his seat before whispering "Are you alright?". He then added "If it hurts badly you can go to the nurses office.".
He then also gave Emi a brief smile knowing how she was probably freaking out internally. "Need to be careful, you might kill someone with that." he said jokingly.

Emi sighed in relief when the boy- Igor dismissed her mighty phobia over her pending death, though, shifted uncomfortably when the behemoth decided to seat himself right beside her. Talk about plot twist. Attempting to slow her heart rate, Emi watched as her classmates returned to well, being themselves. Although, she wondered if any of them would ever come to the rescue if she actually ever was in any danger. But judging by their previously paralyzed reactions.... Most probably not. Huh, it’s always nice to know that she could never trust them.

However, it was not until the stranger settled in his seat did the conversation spring up again- much to her surprise. Why would he want to talk to her? Of all people? Especially after she’d just crushed his foot and in turn, his dreams... How strange. Never mind the overwhelming amount of guilt that began to trickle down her insides as the man poked fun at her more than offensive reaction. And of course, his reoccurring winces and grunts weren’t any reassurance either. She’d need to make it up to him somehow, an apology simply wouldn’t be enough.

“Oh, I didn’t mean it like that... I just- you give off a rather intimidating vibe.” Emi seemingly struggled to formulate a sentence that wouldn’t offend him once again, though, it was evident that that wasn’t working rven one bit. She didn’t know what it was today, usually she was always so poised and rational but today- today she was a mess... Gotta love Monday’s.

A small smile curved at the corners of her lips as the young man quipped. Shifting only to add in her own. “With the way my Monday’s going... A black eye from a boy twice my size sounds rather fitting.” She laughed a little deliriously. God did she need some sleep.

The dark haired student watched curiously as the schools’ designated heartbreaker entered their conversation. It was funny, they’d never really talked much before and yet, sat next to one another nearly everyday. And to think, all it took was a two meaty textbooks to the foot to get them all conversing like normal people. At least some good had come out of it. “Yeah, you should go to the nurse. You can even have us escort you if you can’t really walk... I’m guessing that she’ll need an explanation anyway.” Emi affirmed with an eager nod, only to frown slightly at Haruka’s joke. She really did feel guilty. “Yeah, I’ll keep that in mind for my next accident.” The girl muttered passively.

Kuno had...not been expecting to hear someone talking at him. Unfortunately ignoring them a minute before a flash of understanding crossed his face, the boy absolutely scrambling to grab the book. "Oh! Yeah, course you can! Sorry uh, well I didn't realize you were talking to me there." It was just a case of being ultra zoned out and it probably looked a bit stupid, though he did hop up to go hand it over without much fuss. "I have my work copied so if you need to borrow it for the day its no issue, long as ya give it back later course."

He wasn't actually familiar with the guy he was chatting with but he seemed nice enough, at least he was nice enough to be so polite in asking. "My names Kuno, don't think we've ever talked before but that doesn't matter much. Figure I should at least tell ya my name to be nice and all that jazz.." This was not his shining moment that was for damn sure, but there was nothing to worry about. It wasn't going to ruin his reputation to make a new acquaintance around the school. "Seems everyone's been rushing around today I'm not surprised ya don't have your book! I nearly got a tooth knocked out from some girl running into me."

This really was lame already, but by god he was gonna at least try.

The tall large-chested girl chuckled, "Well you see Ms.Ayano, one of my duties as part of the Student Council is to make sure students are safe and being treated fairly. Some are more at risk to bullying than others, such as transfer students and foreigners...Or students with reputations from previous incidents. You see there are already rumors about you and I wanted to check up and make sure everything is alright. I will address any misbehavior from your classmates or anyone who talks ill of you." Miyuku paused, looking down intently into this girl's eyes. She was quite small, cute. The kind of girl most would pass by without so much of a glance, someone who stayed in the background with minimal effort. Someone that reminded Miyuku of herself when she was younger.

"People say you have bad luck. A curse. People used to say the same about me you know. Though this was when I lived in Germany, people no matter where you go are the same. I was made fun of and teased. Avoided. People didn't like me. Everything about me was wrong. My hair, my accent, my eyes, my clothes, I was gay, I was too tall even there, I was someone so different." She paused obviously talking as much to herself as Tamura. "But when I found a good friend everything changed. It got better. So my advice and find someone you can trust and stick together. In time you'll make more friends and the rumors and belittlement will go away, and if, well if you really are cursed with bad luck, those who stay with you will no doubt be worthy companions."

"Anyway Ms.Ayano, I can see you're doing fine. Class starts soon so I should be on my way. If you ever run into any trouble or need someone to talk to, you can find me in the Student Council office during lunch, free period, or after school." She added on with a small bow before beginning to walk off to the third year classrooms. "Take care Ms.Ayano."

[From here on out, it is assumed Miyuku will be seated in her classroom]
