The Creation Wars
6000 years ago when humanity was just barely beginning to make cities and civilization was growing two species from different dimensions warred over the fate of the earth. Angels and Demons, Otherworldly beings of unparalleled power, however they lacked physical bodies in our world. As such they could only enter our world and do battle by possessing or indwelling humans. However human souls are more powerful than one would think. They would resist the demonic possession or the angelic indwelling and heavily restrict the power they could use. As such either side began a special project to overcome this hurdle.

The demons attempted to make a flawless vessel, several times. Their first attempt was to destroy the soul and all they managed to do was break it down to such small spirit particles that the soul was fused with the body creating the first Vampire Sigmund. After that they came with a different tactic, inserting the souls of hellbeasts into humans with the intention of the hellbeast souls locking down the human soul so the demon could possess the body without resistance. However this also failed as the human souls merged with the hellbeast souls creating the first pack of werewolves. Their final attempt was to create a body with a empty spot where the soul would be and this time they were successful, creating the Cyroptorin. This creature would allow the demon to use more and more of their power as the Cyroptorin ate the flesh of man and beast. However they never had a chance to use this Cyroptorin.

The angels had finally finished their Trump card, a portal linking the dimension of heaven to the dimension of hell. The Angels marched into hell slaying all who opposed them and effectively crippling hell for several thousand years. Upon their victory they noticed the new creatures the demons had created and so they used their power to manipulate the souls of men to create demi's out of two brothers. These two would become the heads of the Leto & Endymion clans that would later split into the dozens of magically charged Demi families that inhabit the earth. Confident that the humans had the means to defend themselves the angels lmwent back to heaven though occasionally they have been known to intervene on the behalf of man.

Progeny & Calamity.

1500 years after the creation wars had ended the Werewolf population had risen into the thousands as they spread into the wilderness. At the Same time the First Cyroptorin had become a Wendigo and many more had begun to be born due to its release of strange soul spores. Even the Demi families had split and had numbers in the high hundreds. So sigmund determined it was time for him to also create offspring. As he wandered the large cities of mankind seeking one who would need immortality he finally found him. A young Eunic slave by the Name of Cain. The boy seemed on his last legs, at 17 he was malnourished and covered in bruises from his wicked owners. So Sigmund Gifted him with immortality and took him with him to teach him to live properly as a vampire. However the boy was far more damaged than Sigmund initally understood.

As Cains power grew so to did his disdain for humanity. They had after all been so cruel to him and after living two centuries with Sigmund he saw that their cruelty had grown worse and not better. So one day he snuck away from Sigmund and went to the Greatest city of humanity at the time. There he locked the gates from the outside and set the city ablaze. Hundreds of thousands perished and when Sigmund arrived he found Cain planning to do so to the next city as well. Knowing he needed to do something about it, but not possessing the heart to kill Cain, Sigmund sealed him in heavy chains, locked him in a Iron Casket and gave the Casket to the Demi family Calderon which later Split into the Hellsing & Pendragon families. Afterwards he continued his Search for adequate progeny, creating the Vampires Izekiel, Naram, And Joan who to this day sit on the council of ancients.

Rise & Fall

Between 3500 & 2000 years ago was the golden age of dark creatures. Werewolves basically Reigned supreme in north and south america, whereas Wendigos Reigned in Russian areas with a few dwelling in the topmost parts of north america. With the population of humanity growing in the Europe and Around the Mediterranean Ogre's began to proliferate there. Where as the Roman and Oriental empires prooved the perfect environment for Vampire covens. With all the growth and development two new factions rose The Council of Ancients & The Free Clans.

As the two factions grew their dosdain towards one another grew with them and eventually war broke out. The collision of these two forces contributed to the fall of rome as the cities government was torn in half. Though the conflict only lasted for 5 years, several Tribes of werewolves, families of Demi's, and covens of vampires were lost, Ogres & Wendigo's took the lowest losses in number but their low population ment that even with the low numbers lost it was more than half their total population. It was around that time That Sigmund returned from his explorong of the seas and sided with the Council of Ancients, and brokering a peace where the leaders of the free tribes would each get a seat on the council. His threat to loose destruction upon them both should the two sides not come to a peaceful solition probably helped a bit though.

In the end it resulted in a new stronger governmental force for the creatures of the dark, one that forged the 3 laws of the Night.

1st- Never feed upon the innocent- If anything is to be learned from Cain it is that Young unstable humans make for dangerous unstable immortals. Not to mention this is the quickest way to bring light to our existence.

2nd- Never reveal yourself to Humans- Any who do this must turn the human who has learned of their origen. Failure to do so will result in the Death of that human.

3rd- Conflict across families is expressly forbidden. Feuds are personal matters and must be sanctioned by the council.

These three laws have governed the world of monsters since the fall of Rome they were agreed upon by the first council of ancients and each new member in the high coucil has had the opportunity to protest a revision of them but to this day none have done so.

The Modern day & The city of Seattle.

In modern times the population boom of humans has resulted in an equal boom for creatures of the night. Vampires number in the tens if thousands, werewolves roughly the same. Ogres have rebounded from half their population being killed in the great clan wars and now number in the High hundred with possibly as many as a thousand, wendigos population has taken a decline due to deforestation but the big boom they had before hand has evened them out at just over 1000. The Demi families have divided to the point where ther isnt a town or city in the world thay doesnt have at least one demi. As such the council of ancients have begun to hire Enforcers out of the stronger immortals among the populous. These enforcers uphold the laws of the Council of ancients and maintain a semblance of order in Neutral zones like large cities, however these enforcers authority ends outside of the city they are tasked to.

Seattle has been a long time home of creatures of the night. Many Have their Coven home there and at least one hundred demi call this city home. The surrounding wilds hold the werewolf clans, and orges & wendigos alike can thrive in the deep forests and mountain trails that surround the city. Four enforcers call the city home all of whome are vampires older than a thousand years. For the most part they keep to themselves but they do have associates and a life outside of their duties. The large population in the city helps to keep a steady food supply to the Nightly denizens, while the animal rich surrounding area's can sustain those who avoid feeding on humans. Creatures of the night can enjoy a rich and full life with the support of their brethren, and content in the knowledge that the Enforcers will prevent the threats they would encounter outside of the Neutral zones. Yet many think that those peaceful times will soon be at an end.

Playable Races

Vampires- The first of the Dark vessel attempts by the demons, all vampires can trace their lineage back to Sigmund and one of the Three Ancients. Vampires possess superhuman Strength, Speed, Durability, Regeneration, Senses, Reflexes, and a 6th sense that lets them detect magical auras. In addition each vampire has a unique mutation that grants them a special ability. All the abilities a vampire has increases with age. However so to do their weaknesses grow. Vampires have an allergy to garlic which does not deal damage but its stench and taste is so foul that it is like bear mace for the tounge and nose. Sunlight can range from a Tight sunburnlike feeling to straight up bursting into flames, silver can cause rash and even corrosion. The younger a vampire the less effective their weaknesses are but the older they are the more powerful they are. Being bitten by a vampire will not turn you, rather it makes the victim tired and they will sleep well. However a vampire giving their blood to a human and then feeding on them will turn the human in a painful three day process.

Werewolves- the second dark vessel attempt by the demons, Werewolves can all trace their lineage back to Lucian the first alpha. There are 2 species of werewolves Born and Cursed. Born Werewolves are as the name implies born of one or more werewolf parents. They are capable of three different forms human form, Wolf form, & hybrid form. Cursed werewolves are humans who were bitten or scratched by a Born werewolf. They possess only two forms, human form & wolf form. Werewolves all possess superhuman strength, speed, endurance, senses, regeneration, reflexes, and telepathic communication, though born werewolves hybrid forms are usually about twice as powerful as an average wolf form of a cursed werewolf. Only born werewolves can be alpha's and to be an alpha one must be born as such, both their wolf anf hybrid forms are on average three times the size of a normal werewolf and at least four times as strong, all forms have a lifespan of 500 years. Werewolves have a weakness to silver, it nullifies their healing factor so long as it is in contact with them. Their overall power hinges on the lunar cycles, during the new moon their beast form is at its weakest, however during the full moon it is at its most powerful.

Ogre's & Wendigo's- These two creatures start from the same base creature. The Cyroptorin is a human born without a soul. They have no upper lifespan limit and are plagued by an eternal hunger for the flesh of the living. Those who satisfy that hunger with the flesh of humans gain Great Superhuman strength, Durability, Reflexes, Smell, and intelligence becoming known as Ogres. Those who satisfy their hunger with the flesh if animals gain superhuman strength, and regeneration in addition to a variety of horns, claws, barbs, armor, fang, and whatever other natural defenses the creatures thay have eaten possess. Due to a lack of a soul both Wendigo's and Ogre's are known for having very negative emotional spectrums, being very cruel, and claiming very large territories.

Demi's- Humans with magical abilities gained from being descendants of the Leto & Endymion families. Called witches, warlocks, wizards, sorcerers, shamans, and such these people have normal human physiology and lifespans, but are imbued with powerful magical abilities that have allowed them to keep balance in the world despite the many more monsters out there. These beings were initially created By Angels and as such have the Ire of all the other races with the exception of ogres who love to eat them to absorb their powers. All demi's were born into families of Demi's, usually with their relatives having similar abilities making the process of learning rather easy in most cases.


Non playable races

Demons- otherworldly beings of incredible power, they not only have no limit to their lifespan, many of them are as old as the universe itself. They possess untold knowledge and are capable of manipulating Matter,Energy, Souls, Minds, and even dimensional travel However they have been mostly quite since the destruction of hells army 6000 years ago.

Angels- The antithesis to demons these benevolent beings possess the same set of powers age and abilities but are far more organized and in much larger number since they won the war 6000 years ago. They created the Demi families a long time ago to maintain balance and while they usually stay out of things they have been known to intervene on the behalf of humans.

Important characters.

Sigmund Sinclair- The Father of all Vampires and Founding force behind the council of ancients. At well over 6000 years he is the most powerful vampire in the world and has not been seen since the fall of rome. His he is directly responsible for the creation of Cain, Izekiel, Naram, & Joan, Three of whome sit on the council of ancients and the last of them sits imprisoned in the Pendragon families Fort. Many believe sigmund to be dead while others claim he still wanders the night seeking those worthy of recieving his gift. Direct progeny of Sigmund tend to be more powerful than your average vampire.


Cain- Born a slave and raised under horrid conditions Cain was the Second vampire to ever be given eternal life. He is also regarded as the most wicked monster on the plamet after he sealed and burned the worlds largest city in his era killing hundreds of thousands. He remains bound in the Pendragon families castle dungeon. Many claim his powerful aura of evil corrupts the very castle itself causing it to be a hotspot for dark spirits. Histories memory of him has been blotted out to all but the most diligent of historians.


Augustine Atori- The direct descendant of First Alpha Maxwell Atori, Augustine currently is the only werewolf on the Council of ancients but is getting notably old as he creeps into the second half of his fifth century. He has many children and is said to be keeping his eye open for his successor whome will be chosen from the alpha's of the world. He is well known for never leaving his Hybrid form.


Gorbaine- A massive and ancient Ogre who calls the Mount Baker-Snoqualmie national park home. Having devoured over 1000 humans his strength, intellect, and stamina are unmatched on the entire continent. He often trades wisdom or crafts for jewels, gems, and precious metals. However he is just as likely to kill tresspassers as he is to accept offerings. However his territory claim is acknowledged by the council of eternals so killing in his territory happen without repercussion.


Elizabeth Pendragon- the decendant of king arthur and member of the famiky responsible for keeping Cain imprisoned. She is also the current weilder of Excalibur, and is far from her english home to work with the enforcers of Seattle and learn how to properly handle a leadership position. After all the eldest of the latest generation of pendragon's she is being groomed to take the Demi seat on the council of ancients.


Enforcers of Seattle

These four vampires are renown for their effectiveness and fairness. There is no safer city for the creatures of darkness in the world save for the Seat of the Council of ancients in Paris, France. Each of them is over 1000 years old and possesses immense combat prowess and power.


Enforcer Enki Xiao- born in japan during the 8th century Enki was recruited by the enforcers at a young age due to his unique ability to teleport. Using this power he has served the council of ancients for nearly ten centuries. He recently was relocated to Seattle to work under Thaddeus tutelage.


Enforcer Beucannon- being the progeny of Joan it was no suprise that Beucannon was a powerful vampire. This power and lucky conditions have secured him a position as one of the Enforcers of the council of ancients. His ability to create illusions has many thinking he has a legitimate claim for the council of ancients should something befall the current seat holders.


Enforcer Michael- he lived in the third century in france and turned by a young Thaddeus in that same century. The two have been inseperable in the following 17 centuries. Despite being notably less powerful than his maker michael made up for it with cunning and diplomatic skill. Paired with his aromatherapy ability has has brokered truces between beings older than himself and nine times out of ten he is able to squash problems while they are in their infancy with nothing but his words. He is the enforcer people most prefer to deal with.


Chief Enforcer Thaddeus- born a citizen of ancient rome Thaddeus was a centurion during the saccing of rome. His valor and grit against impossible odds inspired Sigmund to gift him with immortality. His gift came with a pair of jet black wings which have hardened in his 20 centuries of life. In the current day they are many times harder and sharper than steel. It was his love for order and the military lifestyle that caused him to step down from his position on the council of ancients that came with his being turned by sigmund, opting instead to found and head the Enforcers of the Council. He has shifted his focus on seattle due to a warning from one of the Demi's of the Delphi clan told him that the city would be the site of a battle for the fate of the world's future. He brought with him a squad of handpicked enforcers who have secured the city under the title of a neutral zone. He is feared above all other enforcers by those who violate the tenents of the council.
