Say, since you take inspiration from the Spanish civil war, could you give me the factions involved for the Blacks and the Whites? The "Blacks" in the Spanish civil war wanted to establish a republican government, but they also had a number of communists, anarchists, and trotskyists in their number. Then there were the "Whites" who had monarchists, nationalists, fascists, and a number of clergy which was a real mess. Every one of them is different, and we'll end up confused if we can't distinguish one from the other.

I just need to know which groups exist, what they stand for, and why they're here in the first place.

Another question. Since this civil war takes inspiration from the Spanish Civil War, will the country this all takes place be based in a nation sort of like Spain? Also, will there be some lore to provide us with some knowledge of our surroundings?

no problem
The Blacks comprise of groups linked to each other mostly because of their opposal to their enemy or promises to each other, these are;
Children of the Republic; those, who want to see a liberal republic re-established, as the previous one has just been broken apart
The Front; those of various socialist, communist and anarchist beliefs, the most fragile faction for sure
The Independent; people from the conservative County up North and the more left-oriented County up East, wanting bigger autonomy for their home
The Foreign Legions; volunteers from all over the world, coming here to fight in the name of freedom

The Whites, on the other hand, are united by their desire to destroy the Republic and all of its supporters and allies
The Iron Unity; most of the professional army, lead to an uprising by their officials, which were against the republic's direction
The Loyal; supporters of monarchy, wanting the return of a long-exiled royal bloodline
Soldiers of the Cross; conservative Catholics and the clergy, fearing the communists and despising the secularization of the Republic
Nation's Swords; fascists and hard-core nationalists, holding the belief that a strong nation must be held together by a strong hand

Such is the case indeed. I definitely should make a lore page... so I'll be on that.

Primarily companies specialising in mechanical engineering intended to make use of Serfa’s indsustrial goods, such as Serfa Motores, and Serfa Accesorios.

AiDEE-c0 AiDEE-c0 As I plan to make a recently dismissed Officer (Republican Reforms) I must ask, which ranks are we allowed to take?

Another question, where exactly is the story taking place? In a city situated in a strategic location? Or out into the countryside where fighting is more sporadic?

Figured that the starting position of everyone would be free, but they'd all be lead towards a certain town by circumstance. The reason is to be related to profession of course. Imagine that the town would be rural, albeit with a recently growing industrial complex.

Hey, not to change the subject, but I can't resist. I got a proper theme for the Soldiers of the Cross.

We will definetely need a map

We probably need a name for the country as well.

Will be done.

Not really necessary, imo. But if more people think it is, then sure, we'll come up with something.

Start working on the map, even if we get only a basic outline of the nation, it'll tell us a lot. We can always iron out the details later, we have lives to live, and we're staying here for the fun.

One map's up in the Lore section, if someone hasn't noticed.

Great, now all we have to do is figure out the different parts of the town, it's all in the legend.

My suggestions are:

1. Will be some sort of regional fort, supposedly manned by professional soldiers, but any militia can keep their seats warm for the meantime.

2. Will be some sort of plaza, an open area where people can set up a marketplace, with the center of the town containing a church or tower, overlooking the entire area.

3. 4. 7. 9. Be the various neighborhoods of the town, containing different kinds of people.

5. Possibly a major factory producing arms, or anything valuable for the war effort.

6. A number of government buildings for the administration of the whole region.

8. Could be a church, or a cemetery. I have an idea that the town's tradition would be to build a small house for each family of the deceased, and encase their urns there.

Which one of these suggestions could work out?
