Flora and Fauna of Outurn:
Outurn is home to several species of mammalian, reptilian, and fungoid life. Mammalians make up most of the wildlife found on Outurn. A vast majority of Mammalian life are herbivores and peaceful. Reptilians make up the second most common type of wildlife on the planet and are typically more aggressive than their mammalian counterparts. Many, if not all, reptilian life that exist depend on consuming other lifeforms for sustenance. Fungoid life is the rarest, strangest, and perhaps most dangerous type of life form on Outurn. These types of life forms could only be found in the most densely vegetated regions of the planet, away from where colonists would usually start a colony, perhaps for the best. Fungus thrives in these environments and release spores into the nearby air infecting nearby species of organic life and turning them into fungoid hybrids. Not much is known about the behaviors of these hybrids, but what is known is that they lose all of their former intelligence and revert to their instincts back to their primal ways.
Technology:
Technology in this RP can be classified as futuristic. Laser and plasma weaponry exist, as well as other technologies like cold fusion power, fabrication technology, nano-robotics, and gene manipulation, to give an idea of what kind of technology exists.
Humanity:
Humanity, upon reaching the 22nd century and during the years leading up to the 23rd century, had experienced a golden age like no other. Technology previously thought to be impossible were made possible, the world entered an era of peace and cooperation like no other. Unfortunately, that golden age would not last. As soon as it began, the golden age ended. What was left over from the golden age, humanity fought over with themselves. Upon reaching the turn of the century, Earth experiences a resource shortage and the population of humanity could no longer sustain itself on Earth. In an effort to find a solution and save humanity from would be their downfall, the global governments of Earth united, albeit temporary, to work on the project code-named Utopia. In the year 2253, the project gives birth to the light speed engine. Multiple colony ships were assembled, manned, filled, and sent off into the stars to find a new home for humanity.
