Maiko Yamanaka

Maiko nodded and grinned at Shizukas words. „That sounds like a splendid idea. With your help we can do this in no time.“ the girl clapped into her hands and started to walk towards the nearest tree. When behind her a loud noise and a thud appeared she flinched a bit and twirled atound to see what happend.
Hisako was sitting on the ground, face scrubched up in pain and Hifumi was quickly running to his side. If the Yamanaka concluded correctly he must have endured the same thing she had seen happen to Akiko. A chakra explosion that had tossed them on the ground. No wonder the hot headed Uchiha and the bubbly Uzumaki had this happen to them.

She wouldn‘t admit it lout but yet she was impressed by them. All she knew was to keep her emotions in check or else it ends up bad when controlling the chakra and being able to control it for a little bit? Impressive. Maiko huffed out and let her eyes wander across the other genin before looking back at her teammates.

„What are you waiting for?!“ she yelled out towards them.

Hisako Uchiha

The boy snickered at Hifumis remark and jab at their sensei. „We would be better off with a old woman and learn more“ he said just loud enough for their sensei and Hifumi to hear. „Imagine learning something from Koda“, he now said quieter to Hifumi.

He had a good time with her and he liked her. Hifumi was helpful and he was grateful for that but his good mood was once again ruined by none other than Shoko. His smile and laugh died down and he stared at the girl. Her ‚advice‘ as useless as ever.

„If you don‘t have anything enlighting to say just shut up.“, he yelled over. The boys tone changed from carefree to angry. Seriously he just couldn‘t with her. Whatever she did was oh so perfect. Why not just promote her to Jonin now if she knew anything.

„Let‘s see if you‘re really so perfect.“, it was just loud enough fir Hifumi to hear as she was right beside him.

Hisako sneakily pulled out a kunai from his backpocket. While he didn‘t directly aim at her to hurt her, he tried to throw it as clise as possible at her. It would maybe just nick her arm. In the same motion he jumped up and closed the distance between the two of them. When he was infront of Shoko he tried to grab her neck and dunk her head under the water. At this point he didn‘t care if he got wet feet he just wanted to show her that she wasn‘t the best as she tried to look like every second.

He was just so angry at this arrogant behaviour of her.

Shoko Uchiha
Shoko hadn't expected Hisako to actually attack her, I mean they were on the same side. But she saw the kunai fly towards her and tried to dodge, but luckily the kunai wasn't aimed to kill her so she was able to dodge at the last minute, with the kunai grazing her skin, not enough to shed blood though. But she also hadn't expected him to actually try to grab her, that was completely unexpected. Catching her off guard, her head was underwater, just like her water-walking training. The training flashed in her head, the times she almost drowned, the times where she failed and failed again, the times where she almost died. Her panic started to kick in, she tried to remain calm, like how you did to conserve your air supply if you were actually drowning, and her body reacted for her. With her having full range of her hands and feet and knowing Hisako was close by, if not directly behind her judging by the direction his arm was in, she kicked at his chest to get him off of her. She tried to bring her head up for air at some points.

Minoru Isobe

At Shizuka's agreement, Minoru had nodded though he'd really expected nothing less from the agreeable, kind girl that was his younger team-mate. Both of his team-mates, both of whom were girls and were clan-born (a fact Minoru couldn't help but note) tended to be quite amenable. Well... Mostly.

Minoru's dark gaze shifted briefly to encompass the blonder, more.. likely to be disagreeable member of their party... Who was finally beginning to make her way over to the group, albeit slowly.

Glancing away from her approaching figure and towards the line of trees a couple of feet from the shore as Shizuka's next words came -- something about her clan, honoring them, blah, blah -- wait.

Minoru paused in his perusal of the trees, eyes darting back towards Shizuka. She already knew how to do this?

The pinkette pushed his dark gaze downward, tried and failed at keeping the annoyance from taking to his expression.

"Okay," he muttered, though mostly to himself. "As long as helping us will honor you or whatever, by all means do it."

He half regretted his words the instant they came out, mostly because of the hint of annoyance that coated his tone. But hopefully Shizuka wouldn't notice. Or more likely, the girl would be just too polite to comment.

Pushing away that hint of guilt as Maiko finally made an entrance, Minoru nodded to acknowledge her. Then followed right behind the girl as she led the way towards one of the trees. At the nearby thud that followed their approach Minoru winced, eyes flying in that direction. And the source of said noise was none other then the loudest Uchiha Minoru had ever met, Hisako.

Shaking his head, Minoru let Maiko's outburst steer him back to present, to the tree standing before them. He stepped forward, trying to envision his feet becoming magnetized. No, a better image was his feet becoming sticky with his chakra chakra. Would that be enough? Dipping into his meager reserves as he took another step forward, this time making contact with tree, Minoru found himself... Actually sticking?

"This isn't so bad I guess," Minoru admitted, spirits rising as he took another step forward. "Maiko, try to like just picture chakra coating your feet kind of evenly? Like butter on bread?"

Shizuka Miyazaki
Shizuka nodded happily towards Maiko, relieved that Maiko wasn't upset about her ability to already tree and water walk. She just wanted to follow Maiko as Minoru finally reacted. Shizuka could hear the annoyance in his words and inwardly she flinched. Did she say something wrong? With worry, she bit her lower lip, nearly breaking the skin. She lowered her gaze to the ground and walked quietly with Minoru and Maiko to the trees.

She could hear some crashing and yelling of Hisako, some splashing of water but Shizuka just threw a small glance toward the scene and looked then back to the ground. Her hands were in a tight fist while Shizuka really tried to concentrate.
'Don't cry, don't cry.', Shizuka thought to herself. She could already feel the water flooding her eyes. She hated it. Why does she have to be this emotional? It was just a freaking sentence! But it kind of reminded her of her mother's remarks...

Shizuka took a deep breath, sniffing a bit and hoping that nobody heard it. She could hear Minorus tip towards Maiko.
'C'mon girl, help them! But do they want my help? Maybe I annoy them? I should at least try.', she thought. For a second, she concentrated on her surroundings, blending out all the other people. With some deep breaths, she finally settled again.

Shizuka opened her eyes and watched carefully how her teammates were trying to tree walk. Minoru was right, like coating butter on bread.
"But make sure to evenly coat it. Not too much butter and also not too thin. It has to be an even layer, sticking to the bark. Kind of like honey.", she added. Was that tip good enough or too much already? She should stop worrying too much about what everybody thought about her...

Hisako Uchiha
Scared, shocked.

Merely a second past when Hisako realized what the hell he was doing. Immidiatly he pulled his hand away and stepped a few quick steps back, giving Shoko the opportunity to stand up and get a breath.

His whole body was shaking as he looked at her with wide eyes, his vision started to get blurry but he quickly blinked away the upcoming tears. The boys breath was uneven and he felt like his chest was getting tighter with every gasp he took.

What the hell was he doing? She might get on his nerve but….Hisako didn‘t know what just came about him to do…this.
He backed away from his cousin. He looked to the closest Sensei, Akane, with wide eyes, shock and fear clearly in them. „I…I didn‘t want to do this, I swear.“, what weak and horrible excuse. What would have happened if he didn‘t stop? Someone would habe clearly stepped in. Why didn‘t they stop him when he was attacking her? Hisako back up again until he reach the shore and fell down to the ground, grasping his own body and giving himself a hug. Burying his face in his knees he pulled against his chest. He felt like actually going back to Shoko and trying to help but this was probably the least thing she wanted right now, right?

Maiko Yamanaka
Frustrated, concerned. Interacts with Shizuka ( JessEwa26 JessEwa26 )
Like butter? What kind of explainations did those two give. She tried really hard to imagine her feet covered in an even cost of chakra but for the love of it she didn‘t felt anything happening.

Seeing how Minoru was able to stick to the bark made her pout her lips. „Why does this look so easy when you do it?“, she whined a little bit and tried to look harder. Maybe he had a trick? But nothing looked like it. Just the work of evenly coated butter-chakra.

Maiko was closing her eyes again to try it once more but she could see in the corner of her eye how Shizuka seemed a bit off. She had sniffed and she looked like she was about to cry tho she did hid it well.
„You ok Shizuka? Did something happen?“, Maiko stepped closer to her and laid her hand on the girls shoulder giving it an encouraging squeeze.

Shizuka Miyazaki
interacting with Maiko ( Aigen Aigen )
Shizuka looked at Maiko with big eyes as she visibly swallowed. Should she tell Maiko what bothered her? After a second, she nodded and smiled lightly at Maiko. "Yes, I am alright. Thank you for asking.", she said. Awkwardly she looked towards Minoru and noticed how he began to succeed in learning the tree walking skill.

Shizuka then furrowed her brows in thought. She wanted to divert Maiko's concern. She knew that her smile was very fake and that she was not alright but she didn't want to be seen as a sensitive flower, even though she was.

"I thought the analogy of butter would be good to continue but if it really confuses you more than it helps, I can tell you how I learned it from my father. Since we learn a lot about control, I was taught that it is like meditating. Close your eyes and listen to your surroundings. Blend slowly everything out, starting from the voices of the others, then the birds, then the wind, and so on. Begin to concentrate on yourself. Listen to your breathing, to your heart. And then go deeper. You should feel something like a ball, full of energy and you will feel how it travels through your whole body. And then you try to direct the flow to your feet and when you have it there, you have to keep it even. Not too much and too little. If you did that successfully, you do it again and again until you can do it without truly thinking about it.", Shizuka lengthly explained. She really hoped, she didn't confuse Maiko with it even more. Or should she not have said something? Maybe she was annoying, always messing with the others? Self-doubt crept into Shizuka's mind but she tried to not let it affect her.

"Go on, try it. Don't think about me. I will be alright again."

Akane Uzumaki
Interacting with Koda ( tanto tanto ) and Shoko ( kakemha kakemha )

Akane noticed the tension immediately, of course. Well, it had been there for the the last three days really, reaching a boiling point with the water-walking. Still, she hadn't expected the bickering to turn into a fight so quickly, nor for it to be so extreme. Thankfully, just as quickly as Hisako snapped, he broke away, clearly realizing he went to far.

Akane shot Koda a sharp look, before nodding at Hisako, gaze softening. Hopefully he understood she was telling him to comfort his student for the moment. The scolding could come later.

Akane focused her attention on Shoko, slowly starting to approach. She was relieved to see that her student was above the water, though she was clearly not doing well. Akane made sure to keep her hands held up, palms facing out, for Shoko to see, and stopped a few feet away. When she spoke, her voice was soft. "Shoko, I would like to help you to shore. I need to check you for injuries and tend to any you may have. May I touch you?"

Koda Tsuenomentions // interactions: Aigen Aigen , bastion bastion , kakemha kakemha

As the children went about the task of teaching one another water-walking, Koda busied himself with packing up what food remained on the shoreline. The Furakawan's had to be close by now, if the darkening sky overhead was any indication of the passing time, so it never hurt to be prepared for a quick exit if necessary. Speaking of a quick exit though...

Koda pushed off the urge to chuckle as a pop of chakra bursting and an exclamation of anger from one of his charges, Hisako, rang out. Eyeing the kid, Koda wondered whether the young Uchiha was using too much chakra. Not that he was really close enough to make such an assessment. And even if he was, it probably wasn't necessary. After all, Koda was certain the kid would get it eventually, with or (more likely) without his help. And even if he had wanted to help, Hifumi seemed to have it.

Koda felt his lips crinkle up slightly as the girl murmured something to Hisako that seemed to do the job of comforting him. They really were good kids. Nice kids, clan politics aside. The best squad a (lazy) jounin could ask f-

Hisako's voice rang out, the boy saying something about an old woman and learning more from-- Oh.

"Good luck finding an old woman willing to teach you lot,"Koda threw back, before chiding himself internally over getting pressed over something a twelve-year-old (-- Wait, he wasn't even twelve yet, was he?) had said.

Pulling his attentions back towards the packing, Koda likely would've left it at that had Hisako's voice not rang out again, though this time there was real anger in his voice. But it didn't seem to be pointed towards Koda. No, this time his cousin, the youngest of the Uchiha, seemed the target. Koda side-eyed the other jounin, wondered whether anyone would step in or if this would become an all out screaming match.

There was nothing wrong, at least in his head, with the kid's letting out a bit of steam on each other. Unless it turned violent. But really how much violence could one expect from genin? And from what he knew of the quietest of the Uchiha, Shoko, she didn't seem likely to retaliate in any violent fashion so it would probably just be left at that--

All the hypotheticals Koda was brewing over the situation ceased the instant a kunai entered the air -- initiated violence, from his own genin! And in that same moment, said aggressor, Hisako, was flinging himself at the girl right behind his own kunai. As the kids begin to wrestle in the water (the dirty water) Koda let out an incredulous sort of chuckle (though laughing likely wasn't what the situation called for).

Though he was sure the children wouldn't commit any sort of lasting violence to one another, a fight this public, and this early amongst their numbers didn't bode well for the rest of this trip. Would they have to make an example of these two?

Koda had just flickered over when Hisako pulled himself together enough to fling himself back to shore. But just as quickly as he pulled himself together, the boy begin to fall apart, chest heaving with shaky breaths as the tears begin to flow, an apology flowing from trembling lips. It was hard to see the Uchiha cry, harder even when Koda considered what words could be said to quell the emotional outburst. Hesitating from his place a couple of inches from the scene of the crime, Koda briefly made eye-contact with Akane. The woman seemed to be trying to communicate something, probably a do something. So letting the task in her eyes be his guide, Koda pushed all thoughts of himself away and bent to be at eye-level with the crying Uchiha.

Or tried to be at eye-level, as the boy seemed intent upon hiding his face in his knees.

"Hisako, can you look at me?" he begin firmly, eyes briefly scraping the surrounding kids, some of whom hadn't yet noticed the situation and others who seemed intent upon making it their business. "let's go have a talk."

Minoru Isobementions // interactions: Aigen Aigen , JessEwa26 JessEwa26

It was kind of nice, being good at something your first time trying it. Minoru wasn't used to that, so the feeling stuck to him. And Maiko's praise only helped elevate the warmth enveloping his chest as he peered down at the tree below his still-stuck feet.

"Does it look easy?" he begin, a faint smile skimming his lips. "you'll get it too, Maiko. Don't worry. I don't think our sensei's would assign us a task we couldn't all get eventually. And if you don't, Me or Shizuka can probably give you a piggie-back ride."

Glancing at the other girl to verify she was indeed fine with that volunteering of her on his part, Minor felt his lips twitch back towards their natural downward slant as he took in her crest-fallen expression. Well actually, crest-fallen was probably an understatement. The girl looked near to tears.

And that was all over a couple of words -- Minoru pushed back the initial turn to irritation. It wouldn't do much besides make the situation worse. They were all tired, all probably more sensitive right now than usual. And besides, Shizuka was usually a little more sensitive than most. It hadn't been right on his part to take out whatever he'd felt on his younger team-mate. And so what if he thought what he said wasn't a big deal, it obviously was a big deal to Shizuka.

Minoru let those positive thoughts be his guide as he stepped down from the tree to hurry over to Maiko and Shizuka's side. Letting his dark gaze awkwardly flit over the girl, he nodded faintly as she begin to offer a new method for Maiko to try out in efforts to lean, per her father's instruction.

"That sounds like an interesting way to learn this," he piped up once she finished, forcing himself to make eye-contact, before glancing down again. "nice and um... Cool of you to be willing to teach it. Right, Maiko?"

Yuna Aburamementions // interactions: bastion bastion , kakemha kakemha , Aigen Aigen

An embarrassed Yuna had, following her spill into water, retreated back towards the trees to verify none of her stuff (or Akane's, for that matter) had gotten wet. And luckily, apart from a bit of mud on the underside of the Uzumaki's bag (and guiltily enough, Yuna actually felt relieved the bit of dirt was on Akane's bag rather than hers), both seemed fine. So Yuna could heave a sigh of relief, push herself back towards the task of trying to learn water-walking. Or maybe... She shouldn't subject herself to the embarrassment of trying to learn this any more. Maybe Shoko would be down for a strength exercise this leg of the journey. Yuna wasn't that heavy, after all. And... She wasn't that muddy.

Glancing over at Shoko as she debated the best time to ask, Yuna caught the end of an angry, Hisako-initiated tussle she'd been blissfully ignorant to the start of. But that didn't mean the Aburame wasn't angry any upon seeing her team-mate nearly drowned. Weren't the sensei's supposed to step in before stuff escalated like this??

Hurrying over, Yuna balled her hand into a fist and prepared to slug Hisako--

--And paused as the boy dragged himself to the shore suddenly, tears bright in his dark eyes as he mumbled out an apology.

It was weird seeing Hisako, usually so full of pompousness and bluster (at least in Yuna's eyes lol) look so defeated, so sad. It was enough to make the Aburame stillen, eyes flitting between Shoko and Hisako back. She wasn't sure, in that moment, who more needed help. Was it Shoko, who finally seemed to be hauling herself up from the water? Or was it Hisako, who had fluctuated between two very strong emotions in what seemed like mere moments?

Thankfully, Yuna was spared from badly attempting de-escalation as their teachers jumped to action. And as the situation shed some of its stressful elements, it was easier than for Yuna to fixate on her loyalties to Shoko. That's right, she could probably help Akane-sensei!

"I can help, Akane-sensei!" she piped up, hurrying to the woman's side. "I'm really good at checking for injuries. Or anything you need me to do!"

Shoko Uchiha

Mentions & Interactions: bastion bastion (Akane-sensei), Aigen Aigen (Hisako)
She was able to get above water again, Shoko immediately took several deep breaths and grasped at her chest. Her hair and face was dripping wet from the water, but Shoko didn't mind, she was on guard and still a bit panicked. She glanced over to Hisako and saw him looking spooked and muttering something that Shoko couldn't hear. She had no want to hurt him as revenge, he was on her side, he was her cousin, they grew up together, there was no way she could hurt him. She wanted to yell out that she was sorry for not being helpful, be she couldn't seem to find the right words. She was never good with words, being quiet and probably socially inept doesn't help at all, she grew up with violence as her first language. But then she heard Akane-sensei speak, hands in the air and asking to touch her. Shoko has hesitant at first, thinking it could be another attack, but after a couple minutes of consideration, she allowed it, allowed her to approach, as Shoko slowly started to walk to the shore. But she was ready to attack if anyone else touched her.

Shizuka Miyazaki
Interacting with Maiko ( Aigen Aigen ) and Minoru ( tanto tanto )

Surprised looked Shizuka to Minoru as he joined Maiko and her. A small smile played at her lips as she heard his words. He was a very kind person, to be so considerate of her, through all her faults. So she nodded enthusiastically at him.
"I am sure, you will get it in no time, Maiko!", she said. And after a heartbeat she added, "And thank you for your kind words!", and looked at Minoru. She was very happy to have such nice teammates.

Even though she wanted to concentrate on her teammates, Shizuka could hear how someone began to cry. Curiously and with a bit - or a lot - worry she turned to the others. She let her gaze flick over all people until she saw the scene. Her heartbeat quickened but she couldn't really understand what happened. Should she go and try to help? No, Shizuka shook her head and turned again to her teammates.

Even though she wasn't very competitive and it wasn't very kind of her, she wanted her team to be the first to master the tree and water walking.

Akane Uzumaki
Interacting with Shoko ( kakemha kakemha ) and Yuna ( tanto tanto )

Akane glanced at Yuna, holding out an arm to stop her approach. "Thank you, Yuna, but I think it would be best if Shoko was allowed some distance from everyone for a bit. Perhaps you could check on Akiko for me instead?"

Said Uzumaki was still in the water near the shore, staring over at Shoko with big, desperate eyes. Akane knew her cousin struggled with processing conflict, especially among friends, but she needed to prioritize Shoko right now. She forced herself to return her gaze to the shaken Uchiha, slowly closing the distance and gently putting an arm around Shoko to both support and guide her. Then she led her back to shore, making sure to navigate around the other members of the group to a more secluded area off to the side.

"Shoko, I need you to do a breathing exercise to ensure no water is in your lungs," Akane said. It was a lie, as the exercise she instructed Shoko to do was actually for centering oneself during a panic attack, but it was a plausible reason that wouldn't force Shoko to confront her panic. "Breathe in for three seconds, hold for three, then exhale for three. Do that three times."

Once Shoko had done that, Akane walked her through taking stock of her body, another grounding exercise under the guise of medical attention. Of course, it was also for medical purposes, as it would identify any injuries Shoko was aware of. "I want you to focus on each part of your body and describe how it feels to me, starting with your head. Try to be as detailed as you can."

Hifumi Hyuuga

Hifumi cursed herself in the aftermath of Hisako's attack. She should have noticed what he was doing sooner, should have stopped him. She was right there... Part of her wanted to go over to him, to talk to him and... well, maybe not comfort him, he was the one who'd attacked an ally, but at least find out what was going on. Koda-sensei was already there though, so she held back, simply watching from the distance.

Maiko Yamanaka
Interacts with Shizuka( JessEwa26 JessEwa26 ) and Minoru( tanto tanto )

Maiko smiled as the three stood there. Shizuka seemed to feel a bit better after Minorus words. She on the otherhand pressed her lips together. Learning walter wlaking or even walking on a damn tree in this short time will never work for her because the girl knows she needs time to learn things. And especially now it felt so under pressure. Especially thinking about a possible piggy-back ride should the boats fail to arrive. That would be so embarassing.

Maiko nodded her head and closed her eyes to get her head clear. Giving her cheeks a little slap with her hands she tried to concentrate on her sourroundings. Just as Shizuka explained she started to ignore everything until she only heard her breathing and her heart beat. Slowly but surely she started to feel this ball that Shizuka described, small and wamr inside of her, she started to concentrate this feeling in her feet. Maiko felt like openening her eyes and see for herself if there was truly chakra on her feet but knowing herself it would only ruin everything so she decided against it and tried to keep concentratet.

Walking on the tree would proabbly need to wait, getting this whole concentrating thing under control and making it faster was maybe a better idea. Maybe Minoru and Shizuka would be up to train with her after this mission. And a piggy-back ride didn't sound that bad. The blonde girl was fully concentrated on her meditating that the sudden sound of tumult brought her out. The energy vanished, all the other sounds returned and with a huff Maiko looked from where the sound of splashin water came from.
"Seriously, who is-", she started to get angry when she witnessed Hisako and Shoko ruffling in the water. Well, it looked more like the boy was trying tomdrown that poor girl. Uchihas were so annoying. Knowing that the senseis were nearby Maiko rolled her eyes and crossed her arms across her chest.

"Great, everything went good and then the stupid Uchihas have to pull all attention to themself again.", she growled angry, looking back to her teammates. "Maybe this piggy-back ride doesn't sound so back.", she huffed. "I think I try this concentrating thing and awalking on trees after this mission again. And thank you for your help, I appreaciate it. It helped alot", she offered a smile towards both of her teammates.

Hisako Uchiha
Interacts with Koda ( tanto tanto )

Kodas voice rang to the boys ears. He sniffed one more time and wiped his eyes as he looked up and into the eyes of his snesei. "Everythings fine. I'm sorry, I shouldn't have done that.", his voice cracked a bit as he talked and he averted his eyes again. Looking to the ground beside him. The Uchiha changed his seating to cross his legs. His body was slumped over so he could lean his elbows on his knees. His fingers twirled around each other as he started to pull in his nails.

"Is she fine?", he asked his sensei, not wanted to look over to his cousin nor Koda. Hisako bit his lips. He still felt...angry and sad but the feeling that started to now grow in his chest was fear. Pure fear. Not of the scolding from the Senseis but rather Shokos father. Hisako had met the man once and it was enough that he never wanted to talk with him again. Only thinking about what he would do when he found out what Hiskao had done to Shoko started to bring the tears back into his eyes. He started to taste the faint taste of blood on his lips from all the biting on it.
"Will Shkos father hear about this? Please don't, we could just forget this, right?", Hisako looked up towards Koda again, his eyes wide, brows furrowed. His look went past his sensei towards Shoko who was tendet to by Akane who wlaked her towards the shore.
"Her father will kill me". he faintly said. His dark eyes wandered over to Hifumi. He must have shocked her. Hisakos eyes skimmed back to Kodas and than back to his lap, watching his hands still pull on his nails.

Shoko Uchiha

Mentions & Interactions: bastion bastion (Akane)
She let Akane-sensei gently grab her arm, though she fought the urge to flinch and pull her arm away and slowly walked over to the shore. She did notice that her technique was...off. Whenever she would take a step on the water, she had to concentrate harder to regulate her chakra and her foot could fall into the water at any point if she lost all concentration, but she was able to keep walking on water. Walking past everyone, she kept her head down and eyes glued to the floor. She felt bad for causing a scene, felt sorry for Hisako, she was being standoffish in most people's terms but she hadn't meant to. But she also felt a feeling of sorrow and fear deep down, if her father heard about this, he'd be furious. He'd be disappointed at why Shoko was thrust underwater, why couldn't she fight Hisako off, why did she let her guard down, and probably a bunch of other criticisms.

Following Akane-sensei, she was standing in front of her in a secluded part of the forest. She let her gaze fall upon Akane and let her head rise. Nodding her head at hearing Akane's instructions for checking her breathing, she followed the instructions completely and without much trouble. Then, she began describing what she felt in her body as Akane instructed, though she didn't feel any pain so she didn't know what to tell her sensei, everything felt fine. "Everything really is fine sensei, it's just my hair and head is wet from being underwater. I have a towel in my backpack for that though. I am having a bit of trouble controlling my chakra however. Please don't tell my father about this, it would be for the best if he didn't know." She just said, pausing a bit between each sentence. She said the last part more out of fear, she had an idea on how her father would react to hearing about this, and Shoko didn't like that prospect.

Koda Tsuenomentions // interactions: Aigen Aigen , bastion bastion , kakemha kakemha

Though Koda had hoped to go somewhere more private in efforts to spare Hisako the humility that most kids would feel with such a public display of emotion, the Uchiha seemed content with his place on the shore. Or perhaps he just was so lost in his emotions he wasn't thinking of any others. Well, any others but Shoko.

Glancing towards the girl as Hisako mentioned her, Koda nodded a little. She seemed physically if emotionally a bit shaken. But the youngest of the Uchiha was a little hard to read, so who really knew what she was feeling?

"She is," he confirmed, pushing those other thoughts aside. "and while you do know you owe her an apology, I think that can be handled at a later time. When we're all... Calmer."

Letting his eyes take him back towards Hisako, Koda frowned as he watched a fresh kind of distress twist the boy's features. A little bit of blood even trickled down the kids lip.

"Stop that," Koda threw out, before breaking off to allow the boy to speak, mentioning... Akui Uchiha, killing him? Though those words, or more so just the definite way Hisako uttered them (as if there were no chance of any other action), sent a shiver down Koda's spine, he pushed those away in favor of actually trying to think up a proper response.

This was a harder question to answer, as Akui was known by those that held the rank of shinobi for his... Questionable actions. But the man was still a loyal shinobi of the Leaf, a parent who like any other deserved to know about his daughter's well-being. And no parent would hurt a child for something as simple as a-

But one never knew with Akui, did they?

His eyes flitted towards Shoko's sensei, Akane. They'd need to have a conversation about this at some point later on.

"Don't be ridiculious, Hisako," he pushed amusement into his tone, even batted at one of the kid's hands playfully though the motion was more so intended to stop Hisako from picking at his nails. He let his voice get a little more serious as he continued. "Akui is a loyal shinobi of the Leaf who knows what the penalty for hurting a child would be. So logically, he would never do that,""

The unspoken here, at least in Koda's head, was that perhaps Akui would do something else, something worse. So he hurriedly inserted his voice again.

"And it's like you've forgotten about your favorite sensei, who of course wouldn't let anyone touch a hair on his favorite little Uchiha pupils head. So enough on that, okay?

"Let's talk about what might've caused that little outburst instead of all that. Do you think it was exhaustion, stress?"

Koda scratched the back of his head, a little awkward about this conversation. How did one get a child to open up about their emotions, again?

"And uh.. If you'd rather talk to Hifumi about any of this instead of me. It's cool."

As Shizuka sent him a small smile and a couple of sweet words in her characteristic reply, Minoru felt heat take to his ears. He glanced away to hide his embarrassment.

"Yea," he muttered. "of course."

As Shizuka and Maiko's attentions turned elsewhere, Minoru let his follow. And frowned the instant he pinpointed the perpetrators of whatever crime was stealing everyone's attention -- the as usual over-dramatic Uchiha's.

"Typical Uchiha," he echoed Maiko sentiments, shaking his head briefly before resuming peering at his teammates. "of course. We're your teammates, right? So it's sorta expected anyway. If you still can't get it, in like ten maybe we can ask Ashi-sensei for some tips?"

Yuna Aburamementions // interactions: bastion bastion

Having her offer for help being pushed off, no matter how reasonably and kindly it had been uttered, hurt Yuna's pride a little. She pouted, briefly forgetting about Shoko's potential injury as she leaned back, crossed her arms about herself angrily.

It took her a couple of seconds between the woe is me thoughts to finally recall the last of Akane-sensei's words. Right, Akiko might need help!

She rushed over to the mentioned girl, pausing as she took in her wide, shocked eyes. Yuna would have to be a pillar of strength for Akiko. A strong, indomitable mountain Akiko could look at and draw strength from. She cleared her throat, before throwing an arm about the girl's shoulders.

"She's going to be fine, Akiko. Hisako and Shoko are cousins, but cousins are kind of like siblings. So sometimes they bicker,!" she gave the girl a helpful smile, pushing up the lenses of her glasses in order to better regard her.

Akane listened to Shoko patiently, expression remaining calm. The subject of Akui was a touchy one for everyone it seemed, but especially his daughter. Once again she wondered exactly the extent of what he put poor Shoko through...

"I am under no obligation to report to your father," Akane stated, after a moment. "I will leave it up to you to decide if he is told about this, or if this incident is recorded in the report. Your father is not important right now. He is not here, he does not know what has occurred, and will not unless you want him to. Right now, what matters if your health. Now take another deep breath, and focus on your body more closely. I want you to describe how each part feels. What does 'fine' feel like?"

[Note: You do not actually have to write out Shoko describing everything, but can instead describe her doing it. The intended effect is it would help her calm down, but it's up to you if it does since this exercise wouldn't work for everyone.]

Akiko Uzumaki

Akiko jumped a little when Yuna spoke, so caught up in her thoughts she hadn't even noticed her teammate approach. She quickly put on a smile that didn't reach her eyes, nodding. "Right, of course. Shoko's strong, a little scuffle won't hurt her! I just- I just didn't expect it is all. I don't understand what happened... Why would... Why would Hisako attack like that?"

Ashi let out a long, tired sigh, before clapping her heads to get everyone's attention.

"Right! It's getting too dark for us to have any chance of setting out. Kids, lets take a break from training and properly set up camp for the night. We'll resume training in the morning and then set out to meet the village. Who knows, maybe that welcome party will actually come find us before then!"

Ashi glanced took a moment to look at each genin, assessing their state. Her team was certainly the least effect. In all honesty, she wasn't even sure if the quite understood what happened. The other two teams though... Well, they were clearly struggling in the aftermath. Yuna seemed to be taking care of Akiko for the moment. The Aburame was a tough kid with a good head on her shoulders, able to keep her cool despite the shock. Her gaze drifted to Hifumi, alone and clearly rattled. She'd go have a chat with the Hyuuga before overseeing camp setup.

She definitely felt better that she had the option whether her father would be informed or not. It would be much better, for everyone really, if her father was left oblivious to what happened. Listening to Akane-sensei again, Shoko followed her instructions to the best of her ability. She decided to close her eyes and took as deep breath and see if she could describe what she felt.

This was definitely a first for Shoko, no one ever asks how she feels or if she was particularly injured. Trying to focus on her body, she honestly just felt like she normally would on a regular day. All limbs were in tact, no scratches or cuts, no internal or external bleeding, her chakra was stabilising slowly bit by bit, there wasn't any water present in her lungs, her mind was shaken up but it was relaxed focusing on checking her body than thinking of the repercussions of her father if he ever heard about this.

"Fine feels like normal. I feel like I do on any regular day, Sensei." She replied as she opened her eyes and looked at her sensei. She wasn't really sure how to define 'fine' and 'normal' aside from just saying that. She assessed everything she could think of and nothing was wrong at all, physically at least. Hearing Ashi-sensei speak up, Shoko glanced her way and took note of her announcement. Looks like they were spending another night here.

Hisako Uchiha
Interacting with Koda ( tanto tanto ), mentions Ashi and Hifumi ( bastion bastion )
Listening to Kodas words made him feel more calm. He rubbed over his eyes with the back of his hand to get rid of the last remaining evidence that he cried, though deep down Hisako was sure someone had noticed his crying other than Koda and they must be a bit red.

The boy pressed his lips together as his Sensei said to not be ridiculous. He probably wasn’t, his mind was just throwing around the worst possible outcomes if Akui would find out and Koda was right. He wouldn’t let somebody hurt him, right? Even the Hokage wouldn’t look away if that happened. His thoughts got calmer and Hisako sniffed one more time before straightening his back.

“I take you by your word Sensei”, while the boys voice still slightly trembled he found his confidence back. “And you would surely kick Akuis butt if that happend”, while it was evident that Hisako tried to talk in his normal confident and somewhat smug voice he still sounded…doubtful. He looked up to Koda and gave him a smile.

As Koda’s proposal of talking about the source of his outburst came up Hisako stopped smiling before giving him a big grin and scrambling to stand up. Dusting his pants and avoiding eye contact at all costs. Instead he looked towards the treeline before his eyes flitted over the heads of the other genin. “Thank you for the talk, Sensei. Everything is all fine. I will apologize to Shoko as soon as time sees fit.”, he didn’t want to talk about it. He didn’t even know what to say. Was it exhaustion? Stress? He didn’t know and he surely had embarrassed himself enough already.

As of right now Hisako rather wanted to just go away than stay in this awkward situation of talking about his feelings with his Sensei. He rather talked with somebody he trusted and liked…like Shoko. But he wasn’t sure if she wanted to talk with him ever again. The thought of this possibility made him a bit sad as he always liked to talk to her or hang out with her.

When Ashis voice was to hear Hisako searched for her form and turned back towards Koda, allowing him eye contact for a second. “Man I feel really tired and I think I should go now…the others probably miss their favorite Uchiha too.”, he laughed slowly, gaining his confidence back and starting to act as if nothing happened. That's what he was good at. Forgetting things and acting as if they didn’t happen. That's what brings you through life after all. Just ignoring the bad things.

Hisako gave his sansei one last grin before turning back and walking rather fast away from him. Almost as if he was running away. Maybe he would take up Kodas idea of talking to Hifumi. Or his whole team in general. But later, maybe in a few weeks. Or months. Just later and not yet.

Hisako walked up towards his back and took it from the ground before walking towards the rest of the Genin. He looked around the area before seeing a tree that wasn’t too far away from them. He would sleep under that tree with his bedroll that was neatly strapped under his backpack. The boy was used to sleeping under the stars, having done it quite often if the air in the house had been too much and he didn’t want to be around his parents. In the case of something happening he would be able to jump right into action.

The Uchiha had already shoved the happenings of the day at the back of his.

Maiko Yamanaka
Interactions with Shizuka ( JessEwa26 JessEwa26 ) and Minoru ( tanto tanto )

At the help and politeness of her teammates Maiko felt her cheeks become red. She already couldn’t wait to work together with them in the future as both are too nice. She smiled and scratched her head.
“You are too nice, I hope I can get this after the next try.”, she laughed. It became considerably darker and a shiver ran down her spine. “Though I’m not sure if I can concentrate in this darkness. It’s kinda scary.”, she visibly shook and shifted nearer towards her two teammates. The girl really hates the darkness, especially if they are near a forest. Who knows what was inside there. “Let's continue training tomorrow ok?”

(Note: Don’t expect you to gradually interact. If there is a time skip to the morning, this would be an ending sentence from Maiko and no continuation of their interaction.)

Akane sighed softly, giving Shoko a gentle smile. It seemed there hadn't been any actual injury done at least, and Shoko did appear to be calming down. "Alright. You seem to be okay. When you are ready, we can return to the others."

THE NEXT MORNING...

Ashi Inuzuka
Interacting with Hanami ( JessEwa26 JessEwa26 ) and Shoko ( kakemha kakemha )
Darkness still blanketed the clearing and surrounded forest, but nature was beginning to stir. Birds were chirping as they roused from their nest and critters scurried about in the underbrush. Ashi stretched, shrugging her way out from beneath her slowly waking ninken. The shiba trio yawned and stretched as they were moved aside for Ashi, taking their time to get moving, unlike their partner. Ashi was already starting some more intense stretches as she looked over the campsite, gaze scanning over the tents and sleeping bags. Her gaze was immediately drawn to movement near the perimeter, where Akane's Uchiha was trying to slip away.

"Nah, Nikukyuu, where do you think you're going alone?" Ashi called, voice just loud enough to be heard without disturbing any of the other members of the camp, who were all still asleep. Well, almost all. Another flicker of movement caught her attention, once more near the perimeter, and she spotted the young Inuzuka from Koda's team. Looked like she was also planning to slip off, probably to patrol more. That girl was incredibly restless. She'd completely been absent during the events yesterday, wandering the area when everything went down.

"Mori, you go with Nikukyuu," Ashi declared. "This area may be pretty tame, but that doesn't mean you genin should be wandering around alone. Who was trailing you yesterday? Kan'i? Go with them as well and make sure they don't cause any trouble."

A red female shiba trotted forward languidly, still shaking off the sleep as she caught up to the genin. Kan'i gave her entire body a shake before trotting ahead of them into the trees.

Her sleep as not that great. She was tossing and turning all night, for some reason, her father's voice kept reprimanding her in her dreams, it was like a constant ringing but instead it was her father's voice. 'He got the upper hand? He overpowered you? He caught you off guard? I'm disappointed! I trained you to be better than this! I trained you to win, to kill, Shoko! You better train more and more!' Those were only some of the things she heard. Finally she got enough of the voice and the nightmares and decided to just wake up and train, like she always would, but deep down she knew that she was following her father's instructions and routine for her.

THE NEXT MORNING...
She packed her kunai pack and quietly decided to head off away from the camp, she tried her best not to disturb or wake anyone on her way out. But she didn't realise that someone would be awake near her, Ashi-sensei. She didn't know the mentor was an early riser such as her. Hearing Ashis nickname for her Shoko just turned her head towards Ashi and responded to her question, trying not to wake anyone up. "I was just gonna go a little bit into the wood, for morning training." She tried to explain to Ashi so she could be on her way. She didn't want to train near any of the tents or so in fear of being too loud and waking the other's up.

Hearing someone else enter the campsite, Shoko immediately snapped her head towards the sound, luckily it was only Hanami and one of Ashi-senei's nin-ken, or at least she thinks it was one of hers. Before Shoko could take another step in the direction of the forest, she heard Ashi say that Hanami should go with her, but she wasn't too sure. I mean, she was out all night and she didn't see her when the others were water training or when Shoko and Hisako got into that scuffle. "Only if you want to, you might want to rest or I might be too loud for your senses." Shoko said the last part without thinking of how she said it, it was just another possibility that could happen but it came off maybe a bit mean, only after a few minutes after saying it, she remembered when she used to say things like that and Hisako would tell her to apologise and that she was being rude. "Sorry, um, that might've been rude." She apologised to Hanami but left the decision up to her whether she would leave or stay.

Hanami Inuzuka
Interaction and Mention with Shoko ( kakemha kakemha ), Ashi ( bastion bastion ), Koda ( tanto tanto )

Hanami felt like she missed something. Something happened yesterday but nobody talked about it. After she came back, running the perimeter - both, Jin and her, needed the engery outlet -, she could notice the difference. Even Jin was a bit confused. Hanami was especially geared towards Shoko and Hisako. Both of them were clearly shaken up and as her duty towards her pack mate, she needed to make sure that everything was going to be alright again.
Thankfully nothing was in their near parimeter. She had hunted some rabbits which she present Koda. She still didn't really understood his reaction. Was is a good one or not?

The morning after the akward silence, Hanami woke up as usual. She could hear Jin shuffling, stretching his legs and shaking himself to loosen the dirt out of his fur. Quietly and quickly she began to make herself ready to start the day. They would some quiet bonding time and a quick hunt for Jin, so he would be able to work for the day. Unlike her Clan, Hanami had a wolf. He was a bit larger then the ninken in his age, so he had began to be a loner, a bit like her. But she was happy to have her team, they hopefully accepted her.

After Hanami was ready, she began to quietly step away from all. As Sensei Ashi began talking to Shoko and her, she hid a wince. Sure, she had heard how others were shuffling around but she had hoped, she was quietly enough. Apparently not. Thus, Hanami nodded a bit sheepish and followed Shoko, Jin trotting beside her, nudging her leg and throwing her a look.

Hanami was a bit lost in thought as Shoko began to talk with her. Too loud? That was nice of her but she would endure. Sensei Ashi clearly wanted her to be with Shoko and the ninken following them would tell her if she would leave Shoko. Nah, that wasn't worth it. Instead she shook her head.
"It is alright. Don't worry about me, I can take a lot. And I am not tired, got enough sleep tonight.", Hanami answered her. Thoughtfully she watched Shoko as the girl walked with her through the woods. Something bothered Shoko. Her posture was tense, her walk a bit brisk and her eyes tight.
"You don't look like you slept good though.", She commented after a second. "You should go sleep. Don't worry, I will watch over you."
Jin nudged her, his eyes soft on Hanami. "Don't think I am getting nice.", Hanami spoke to Jin, the wolf barking a laugh as a response. Huffing she turned away. Should she ask Shoko? Hmm. Maybe she should wait.

Hanami paused, decision made. "What happened yesterday? You don't look good."

Walking through the forest, she was keeping quiet and trying to find a nice spot to train, hopefully somewhere by a waterfall or some source of water. She wanted to train on the water to prevent what would happen yesterday from ever happening again and she always liked the sound or a waterfall or rain. While searching, she heard Hanami start to talk to her. She kept walking along but was listening and responded once she heard Hanami's concern. "Oh, I'm fine, don't worry about me. I can take a lot." Shoko said, repeating what Hanami had said to her earlier.

After a bit of silence between the two, or four if you count Jin and Kan'i, Hanami asked the question that Shoko didn't really want to answer. I mean, who would want to admit that they lost a fight, especially Shoko, the prodigy, the girl that always wins, she didn't want word spreading to her father. Waiting a bit before answering, Shoko sighed and responded, "Just a scuffle between me and Hisako. I'm fine, really, don't worry about it." She paused wondering if she wanted to expound on what happened, but she just settled on saying, "I think you should as Hisako if you want to learn more. I'm... not good with words..." She paused and walked on. "Oh, um, do you think you can help me locate a waterfall nearby?" Shoko asked after pausing, realising that Hamani and Jin could probably hear the sound of water falling better than Shoko could.

Hanami Inuzuka
Interacting and Mentioning Shoko ( kakemha kakemha ) and Hisako ( Aigen Aigen )

Hanami looked bored around, listening to the sound of everything around her. It was a bit more difficult since Shoko was taking rather loud steps - another factor that told Hanami that something was not right. So instead Hanami used it as a training for her senses. She could hear the birds, some small animals scuffling through the bushes, a bit father away, Hanami could hear rushing water.

Hanami quickly snapped out of it as Shoko began talking, for a second thrown off of the louder sound of her voice.

As Shoko mentioned Hisako, her heart pulled a bit. Was he alright? A scuffle between them? She would need to make sure after that he was alright. Maybe he would explain it some more. If Shoko did something... Nah, she didn't know Shoko enough for that to judge that quickly.

"You can talk just fine. You just did now. I don't understand your problem.", Hanami said a bit confused. Shoko was talking alright, so she didn't see a problem. She could tell her some more but it seemed that Shoko didn't want to talk about it.

Intently she listened to Shoko, her face lightning up as she asked for help locating a water source.

"Why didn't you say that sooner? We have one a little bit of the left, a bit farther away!"

Proudly Hanami showed off her sharp canine teeth, a big, open smile on her lips as she pointed to the direction of the water source. Jin barked also his answer, telling Shoko in words only Hanami could understand, that they were passing it nearly.

"I meant I'm good at explaining things, I suppose. Out of the two of us, Hisako is much better at that." She said in rebuttal to Hanami. Maybe the way she originally phrased her statement was good, but it made sense to Shoko, well most things seem alright to her that probably don't sit well with others. She tried to avoid the topic more, she knew it was because she probably didn't want to admit anything. She wouldn't deny it if Hanami asked her if she lost, but she wouldn't admit it outright, plus no one would ever think that she would lose in a battle.

But on a lighter note, Shoko was thrilled when Hanami and Jin had said that they both had found a water source, well Jin didn't say anything, more of barked. Giving a small nod, in acknowledgment of the direction, she called out to Kan'i, the ninken that Ashi-sensei had sent a long with them, "Just signal us when you spot the water source." Seeing as Kan'i was a bit ahead of them, she expected her to bark or something of that nature to signal when they would reach the water source soon. And so, the group head towards the creek up ahead.

Interacting with Shoko ( kakemha kakemha )
For some time, Hanami was quiet. She listened to how the sound of water became louder and louder while she glanced at Shoko every once in a while. Hanami still didn't really understand what happened. She was still curious but thanks to her mother who beat her in some social manners, she didn't. She let out a heavy sigh. That was awkward. At least it felt that way.

"What do you plan to do with water? Don't you use fire jutsus?", Hanami finally asked. Asking no questions was too difficult for her, so instead she would ask some about a different topic and Shoko liked training, doesn't she?

Hanami could see how the trees began to lighten a bit. Jin began talking a bit faster, disappearing between some bushes. She could hear his bark as he said, that they reached the water. After that she could hear a splash sound. Hanami rolled her eyes a bit as she concluded that Jin had done a small dip into the water. He really likes water. Well, Hanami too but afterward the smell of Jin would be very bad.
"We are here.", she said to Shoko as they walked through and past the bushes. It was kinda obvious but hey, she was just being nice, right?

Shoko enjoyed silence, she didn't have to think to ways to talk to people when you were alone. As much as she tries her best to talk to people, some days she wished to not utter a single word. So in truth, Shoko really didn't mind the silence between the group traveling in the forest. But her attention was captured once more by Hanami, with her heavy sigh and question about using water.

"Oh um, Hisako is the one with the fire release out of the two of us. I have lightning, so water goes quite well with my chakra nature. And considering the village is flooded with water, it would be nice to train on it." Shoko responded. She didn't mind the mistake with chakra nature much, it happened a lot. The Uchiha clan was famous for their fire jutsus, some of which Hisako could use and Shoko planned on learning them as well, but she knew the basics of the jutsus, her father just never had the time to actually train her to use them. But with her title, people automatically assume she has fire release, but Hisako was always the one with that, Shoko always had lightning.

Seeing the nin-ken run ahead and bark, Shoko knew that they had reached water. That and also the fact the the creek they found was starting to get visible. Hearing Hanami announce their arrival, Shoko said a quick 'thank you', before stepping onto the water to begin training, trying to avoid hitting Jin in anyway. "Apologies in advance if I'm too loud or end up splashing water near you." She spoke to Hanami before beckoning over Kan'i. "Mind sparring with me, bud?" She whispered as she crouched down to pet the dog before assuming a training position and hoped to make the most out of the training and tried to take her mind off of the scuffle she had yesterday with Hisako.
