James had his head leaning lazily on the car window as he watched the huge castle like school where he along with hundreds of other Mutants would be spending the next 10 or so months. Usually James loathed to return to school, but this year was different. Recently the US government had made it compulsory for every Mutant "child" to go to a separate school than to non-mutants, they claimed this was to help "decrease racial tensions" although James just viewed it as an attempt to segregate the Mutants further.

As he approached the gate he noticed a crowd of approximately 20 to 30 people (protesters) holding up signs and yelling loudly. "Great, Protesters" James mumbled to himself. He had said this just loud enough for his mother, who was driving, to overhear. "THE NERVE OF THESE PEOPLE, DOING TH-"

"Mom" Charlie said giving his Mother a look that said "Please dont". She closed her mouth mid sentence and Charlie open the passenger door to get out, He usually teleported for everything, even simple things like opening a door but he thought better of it due to the mob of protesters only a few meters away. He saw that they were holding up signs that said things such as KILL THEM ALL and FREAKS ARE UNNATURAL. He gave a quiet sigh, they were extremists. He watched as dozens of Mutants who were also attending the Academy walked quickly passed the protesting mob.

One... two... three...

Faith smiled and reached into her pocket to pull out her money, her heart stuttering over a beat when a green 10 dollar note emerged. The cashier extended his hand slightly, waiting expectantly for the mocha hot chocolate to be paid for. He was completely unaware that anything out of the ordinary was even occurring. After all, Faith's illusions could be pretty convincing.

"Will there be anything else?" He asked her, just before he began to gather her change for her.

"No thank you." She replied, lifting up her store bought apple and taking a pointed bite out of it. However, only after the cashier closed his till, with the imaginary money inside, did she eventually turn and walk over to the waiting area. She released a deep breath as the illusion disappeared and then allowed herself another smile. God she loved being a mutant. Yet, apparently as Faith was about to rediscover, most other members of the public didn't agree with her point of view.

"Did you hear that that mutant school is opening today?" An older woman stated behind her as she waited for her own separate drink. For a moment, Faith was confused about whether or not she was actually starting up a conversation with her, before the young woman turned her head slightly to see who was talking and spotted the eight year old boy holding the elder's hand. "Good riddance, I say. Those mutants are a serious detriment to society and they needed to be separated from us normal people. A freak of nature, that's what they are. You listen to me Michael, if you ever meet one of those monsters in the school yard, you don't make friends with them. You don't even talk to them, okay? It's for your own safety."

Faith pursed her lips and her eyes narrowed slightly at the incredibly prejudicial and detrimental words stemming from the grandmother's wrinkled mouth. It wasn't anything new to her to hear, but the words still annoyed her to think that someone could be so rude to other people. It didn't really bother her personally to be called a 'monster', but the audacity of the woman to insult her kind was just plain rude. Most people couldn't take such comments like she could. Luckily, she had been blessed not to be a mutant inflicted with blue skin, or a horned head or a body covered with fur. For those unfortunate ones, the world had spun all the way back to the 1950's. Sure, it was still like that for her, but only if people knew about her ability, and she could hide that.

An idea momentarily crossed her mind to turn around and inflict some terrible vision upon the horrible woman, but Faith took great care to school her emotions. She couldn't lash out at anyone now. If she did, it would only bring an even greater negative response upon her kind by the public, especially on such an important day as this. If she wasn't mistaken, there would be at least a couple protestors out the front of the school by the time she arrived. The media should be having a field day already. They didn't need anything else. Faith chomped another bite out of her apple and gasped a little when some of the cold juice fell down to create a little wet stain on the front of her shirt. Dang it, she thought, before she shrugged, Oh well.

---

Fifteen minutes later, Faith jumped down the steps of a public bus and landed in front of a sea of protestors and the school which she would soon be calling her home. Her eyes widened a little at the sheer size of the hating masses, but then dragged her backpack up onto her shoulders and continued forward. "Bit of a buzz kill," She muttered when she saw some of the far younger students being visibly frightened by the shouting and death threats, and others who were almost running past them all. Plastering on a sarcastic smile, she began a leisurely walk straight for the front gates, determined that she was not going to be intimidated by those who wanted her harm.

Mathew sat inside of an old prison bus approaching the new school, with him four or five other mutants like him experimental rejects the government had no use for. He looked at each of them, ten years they were in the same facility with each other and they haven't met. In fact he never knew they even existed until this morning, they all looked human with various scars on them for god only knows what. He wondered what the powers were if they were as freaks like him,.

He heard the protestors even before he saw them, chanting away there slogans and knocking on the gates. The fact that a prison bus was coming in obviously didn't help matter, infuriating their rage further. There ire turned to the bus banging on the bus, screaming about this being training of criminals and other murders. They blocked the bus and mutants inside became frightened and tempted to use their powers free themselves with only couple of security guards to keep them back. Mathew tried to calm them but was gaining little.

James tried to walk quickly passed the protesting mob when a bald skinhead like man stepped out of the crowd, in front of him. He didnt say anything to James, just gave him a dark and hateful stare, putting his face merely centimeters away from James's. James stared back with an equally cold stare. James wasnt racist towards Humans but like alot of Mutants he did have a general distaste, especially for those who took it to the extreme. Out of the corner of his eye he saw a prison bus slowly making it's way through the crowd towards the school and the angry protesters hitting the bus.

A few seconds later it seemed like the police riot squad appeared out of no where, quickly running in and dispersing the crowd which included pushing James off to the side away from the man. In a few minutes the crowd had mostly dispersed, yelling could be heard as the protesters moved off back towards the city (New York City). James looked down the longish winding road that from what he could see lead to a court yard that was full of students. In less than a second he appeared in the courtyard, as he appeared he felt something bludgeon him in the face. Had he hit someone?

"Monsters! Unnatural creatures! Kill them! Kill them all!" A middle aged man with a receding hair line shouted in her face and Faith narrowed her eyes, turning to glare at the man with the full power of her distaste. He was waving a sign around, almost shoving it into her face, a large no sign covering the snarling face of a propaganda styled mutant. It was evident that she wasn't one of the supporters, namely because of the large bag on her back, and the haters weren't letting her off.

For a moment, the anger within her surged at the audacity of the man to torment a teenage girl who was simply trying to survive, before she remembered to not make a scene. Faith grinned, and the man faltered in his attack, surprised at her response. Exactly what she wanted. With a flippant attitude, she turned on her heel and charged forward through the crowd. Luckily, she didn't have to wait to see if there would be a reply when the police suddenly appeared and began to quickly disperse the rioters. She couldn't admit that she wasn't the least bit pleased that they were leaving now.

As Faith crossed into the school grounds, she allowed a quick smile to grace her face as she admired the grand castle in front of her. At least, if they had to be going to school anywhere, it could be here. It wasn't exactly as though it was a dumping ground. Maybe she would actually enjoy going to school there. That was until something slammed into her and she stumbled backwards, lost her balance and fell to the ground. "What the-" She gasped, and glanced over at the strange boy who had suddenly appeared out of nowhere. "Ow."

Elizabeth sat with crossed arms as the car approached her new home. Even though she hated calling it "home" she wanted to give the place a chance. Her brother smiled at her as he drove the car and kindly placed a hand in her shoulder for support.

"Weird, I was expecting an angry mob waiting outside the school" Elizabeth said looking at the giant school.

"Well, I'm grateful there's no mob there. I don't want you to get in trouble and I'm sick of playing to get you out of jail"

"Shut up, that was only once and I can control myself"

"Yeah right, you attacked dad with your powers! It's a miracle that he's still alive"

"He wanted to use my powers and I was just learning to control them, you're lucky I escaped that stupid research facility or you would be dead right now "

"Let's stop talking about that Liz"

Elizabeth smiled and got out of the car, she took a deep breath and started walking towards the school. She saw a few people around her age and smiled, "might as well introduce myself, I don't want to be alone forever" she thought to herself as she looked around

Mathew breathed as sigh of relief, seeing the explosive situation being diffused by the sudden arrival of the police. He was sure the police expected the mutants to be the trouble not the humans but hey he wasn't going to complain. "Come on guy, fun over you can relax."He said reassuringly to his worried compatriots in the bus as it drove into the school."If the wont get us now the wont get in a school full of us." The bus then stopped and everyone began to to step out the bust into the school grounds, were he stood in awe at the palace of a school before moving on."Our entrance had nothing sort of a brass band but we are here."He said generally.

Elizabeth noticed a prision bus entering and decided to get closer to it. She remembered meeting some good people during her days in the stupid research facility and wondered if one of them was there. She remembered escaping the stupid place with some of her friends but as far as she remembered two of them were captured again and the other girl entered a severe state of depression after her parents died. Even though her chances of finding her friends was really remote since most of them were older than her she wanted to talk with someone with the same horrible experiences as her´s. She approached one guy and smiled at him kindly.

"Hey, i´m Elizabeth"

"Oh...Eh, hi."He said kinda surprised to be talked to by somebody already. He felt a little awkward, placing his hand in his pockets and smirked as he looked down. He was inexperienced in small take as most of his conversation were all "business" as it were. " Mathew....Sorry my mind was elsewhere.... Just enjoying the site of the palace and the sunlight...Didnt get much of it where i was from...."

Police car drove through the mob a girl who sat in the back had her hands cuffed behind her. The car stopped inside the gates and. Detective stepped out. He opened the back door." Lets go out Missy better make this your last place or your going to jail. "He says. He helped the girl out and stand. She let him un cuff her. " yeah thanks detective. "He grabbed her arm as she went to grab her bag."Niki seriously I am trying to help you I have been the only one always trying to help you. This is your last chance I dont want to have to arrest you."He said. She would of shocked hi. But he was right. She nods."I know thank you. I have your number if anything goes wrong I will call you."She let him hug her and stepped away. She grabbed her bag and noda to him.

Nikita looked around with a glare and rubbed her wrists. If one of these idiots would grab her she shock them she had been developing her electricity over her body. She had been a street kid before she got sent to a foster home. She had caused many problems and got moved about only Detective Lake had taken care of her.She was now stuck in this hell hole.

Nick arrived at the academy on his Harley. The engine rumbled as he eased by the crowd of protesters and he could see how angry and nerveous they were. Normals as what he called them. People that were not a mutant. It seemed over the last couple of decades mutants were on the rise. More and more were being found. It was as if nature had said, it is a time for change, and another jaunt of evelution had begun. He saw a number of mutants being dropped off, by parents, cops and a prison bus. He rode slowly by the normals to the gate and then through the gate and up the long drive way to the almost castle looking structure that was to be the academy.

Normally he would have tried flying to the place. But he wanted to bring his older brother's motorcycle to where he was going to be living for the next few years. His brother had died in Afganistan and it was the only thing he wanted from his parents house. They were afraid of him and what he could do, as was probably all the parents of mutants. They had made him come and he hated them for that. He pulled up into a parking spot and killed the engine and brought the kickstand down and got off the bike. He stood there with his Leather Jacket, black T shirt, Denim Jeans and biker boots, as he took out a cigar and lit it. Now that he was on the property and the others were all around him, he looked at them with his steel gray eyes and ran a hand through his thick black hair. He began walking towards the building and was approaching a girl that had just been uncuffed by a detective. He could see those that had been on the prison bus looking around and others greeting one another. "Lovely Place." he murmered as he began to pass the girl, and puffed on his cigar.

Lilly got out of the cab slowly as she lifted the sunglasses on top of her head when she looked at the building the taxi driver didn't even bother to help her with her bags as she them took out the trunk. which she struggle lightly. She pulled out 2 hundreds from her breast and threw it threw the drivers window "Thanks" she said sarcastically. She put on her sunglasses again and fixed her bags and outfit before walking up to the building, and putting her bags to the side once she got in she saw everything that was floating and want not around her she felt left out she slowly moved out of people ways as people stared as the regular person formed she was in.

“Landon, wake up…Landon!” Landon’s mom shook his shoulder while driving up to their destination. The teen’s eyes slowly opened up. He had been asleep ever since he got into the car from the airport. His family just arrived from California. Landon sat up lightly rubbing his eyes, “Hm?” His mom looked at him as she parked the car, “We’re here”. His hands dropped down onto his lap. Landon’s blue eyes rapidly scanned the area then stopped at his mother. The teen grinned, “Oh grazie mille madre! I’m going to miss you”. He hugged his mother who knew exactly how excited her son was to finally have a chance to practice his powers. “Yeah whatever” His mother responded trying to hide a smile. “I’ll contact you soon” The teen replied getting out of the car and pulling some gym bags over his shoulders. “Do you need help my little mutant?” The mom asked. Landon made a face. He resented that nickname. The teen shook his head, “See ya mom!” His mother waved then drove away.

Woo! Landon thought to himself as he began to walk toward the academy. He had mixed feelings running through him. The excitement, happiness, sadness, and nervousness he was feeling began to alter his breathing patterns as he stepped into the courtyard. So many mutants…like him. Landon slightly coughed returning his breathing pattern back to normal.

Niki looked up as a guy walked by her. She grumbled. "Great she was going to be judged just because she was cuffed. It wasn't her fault she had this power. She was born with it, The detective used it as protocol, but he had wanted to take them off her. She sighed and grabbed him as he passed. "Have a cigarette."She asked with a cold dangerous look.

Nikita was not normally a dangerous person. She however did not like to be judged especially by other's who were like her. She was about to get iff on the wrong foot she could feel it. Nikita had long brown hair with Hazel eyes. She watched Nick with a stern look. She was really trying to keep her cool and not electrocute the guy. She pulled her hand away before she did.

Nick chewed on the end of the cigar in his mouth as the girl he had seen get freed from the handcuffs grabbed his arm and asked him if he had a cigarette. She was looking at him with a stern look which he in turn gave back to her. "I smoke cigars, not those panzy crap they call cigarettes." He took a deep drag on the cigar and then took it out of his mouth and blew the smoke out. He looked her up and down. "What you here for. What you do the cops had to bring you in here?' he asked. He stuck the cigar back in his mouth and then looked away at a group of the mutants talking. "Already starting to form their little clicks." he almost growled. "Name is Nick, by the way."

Mutants with various powers, all in one place at one time. He could fore see some problems already. There would be some hot heads that would use their powers to start fights or in fights. Learn to control their powers! First they had to learn to control themselves. Who ever was in charge or what staff there was to teach them how to use their powers had to control the teenagers first, or have something that was going to scare the shit out of them so they wouldn't make trouble.

Nikita glared at him."yeah but there worse for you. And smell horrible." She said with a dark look. She flipped her hair annoyed. When he asked her why a cop brought her she balled up her fists."Killed a kid by accident."She said hottily annoyed at him." What brings me here? You dont want to know. "She said. She felt her electricity dance across her palms. She hid her hands behind her."trust me you don't want to know what I can do. Yup go clicks."She muttered. "I am Nikita or Niki what ever you prefer."She said.

She looked around. She was not one to click. She saw the other's and glared at them. This was going to be a long year. She sighed. "Fine you don't have cigarettes I get it."She snapped and brushed passed him her electricity could be felt as she walked by. She held her hands and bit her bottom lip. She felt the jolts jumping about. This is what had gotten her in trouble last time.

He chuckled at her at her comments. "Yeah like everyone else here, but it will come out just like mine will." he told her. He felt the electricity and chuckled again. "Ah one with an electrifying personality eh." About then he heard a bottle smash near his bike. One of the protesters had thrown a bottle of booze over at it. He was yelling obsenities at him and others on the Academy grounds. He dropped his cigar and crushed it out. His eyes narrowed and a snarl appeared on his face, Suddenly the sky began to darken with black clouds and and lightning flashed. The protesters looked up and suddenly became quite frightened and some began to run away from where they had been protesting as rain began to fall. A bolt of lightning hit a lamp post not to far from the man that had thrown the bottle. "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Nick cried out. "Noooooooooo." The dark clouds suddenly disapeared and the rain stopped.

He stood there breathing hard. He had almost lost it. He had to control his anger or things would happen that he didn't want. He looked around to see people running for the academy building and the protesters after the lightning strike had moved back further from the walls that surrounded it.

Damn!" he mumbled. He looked down at the ground at the half smoked cigar that he had crushed out. "Waste of a good cigar."

She rolled her eye's at his pretty little speech. She smirked when he said electrifying personality."yeah well you should of known that already. " she jumped hearing a bottle smash. She turned her head and her hands jumped alive. She watched the man yelling at them. She didn't care. She wouldn't care, but Nick went off. She went to touch him to stop him.

She stopped. "What hell was that. What is your power. "She asked. Him. She knew it was from emotion there powers ran on emotion. She sighed and stepped back keeping her hands to her self.

((@Questor you havent made a character.. please do so ASAP))

James stumbled a little but quickly gained his composure as he saw that he what had bludgeoned him was a girl, rather attractive aswell. That was the problem with teleporting distances that werent exactly close or in site, there was a chance, usually small, that he could hit someone or something. "Sorry" James said flashing a smile at the girl while giving her a wink, yes, maybe James was over confident, but it had served him well, usually he was quite well like by girls. He held out his hand to help the girl up.
