I'm not sure if it's just me, but this time of year always makes me feel extra down.

It's been a bad year, so I thought it would be nice to share quotes or things said to us that have encouraged us or just lifted our spirits a little!

I have a rather blunt, personal mantra, "It could be worse." 


But as for a favorite encouraging quote said to me, "The only true failure is not trying."

When I was little, I had a piano recital. And I was super nervous. But then my dad leaned down to me and said, "Don't worry. This is only a snapshot of what you are really capable of."


And it sounds dumb, but then I played really well and now I play for a living. Kinda. But yeah.
