This is a series I've been writing since middle school (i'm a few years shy of 30, now, so it's been a while ago) and this is the latest installment. The series is aimed towards a Teen audience. so 13 to 19 (at high school it was classified as "Young Adult"). So i've probably drift towards that writing style due to the majority of my reading years taking place while I was in high school.
What I'll do is post each chapter in a post and post them in spoilers so the thread is much easier to navigate and doesn't look so cluttered. After writing it here (the raw version) I'll be transferring it and touching it up on my professional writing website. So any critique is welcomed and encouraged. so without further ado, welcome to my Modern Fantasy/Sci-fi world called Moonlight. (Author notes are just little updates that will be posted here as time goes on)

I've been gone from the site for almost a full month. Just life things but fear not, I've still been writing. Even though I've been tearing and trying to climb this writers wall for the latest chapter. I heard a writer say, "there's no such thing as writers block." I think it may be somewhat true but there is something that keeps you from writing with that flow. I've rewritten my chapter at least 3 full times and even now i'm not satisfied. hopefully, it sounds better to others when it's posted. Will resume trying to write a chapter each night (Thur-Sun) starting this week.
It's almost been a month since my last update. So much for my earlier goal but you know when life hits you with that curveball. So it's been busy for me and still is in the real life. Just a lot of things I have to take care of and get situated. So I now try to get something written down when I can. This novel is still number one for me although I have been planning a cyberpunk story but that's so early in stages it's hardly worth mentioning anything else. yet. But first is this project. I have many things planned for it but the route in between point A and point B is still in development. There are a ton of major events I have planned but the hard part is coming up with things to get to those events. And that's why I rewrite so much because I have to make sure these crazy happenings at least go into each other smoothly.
It's almost been exactly two months! Right when i was trying to get a solid schedule going I ended up getting into a vehicle accident (I'm perfectly fine). I got the car repairs done and over with, finally, but it has put in, severely, in the red in terms of finances. So i've been stressed out trying to get my head above water and it's hard for me to sit down and write while i have this stress just nagging in the back of my head. It's still not taken care of yet but I thought that while I've got down time I'd revisit the site and try to brave through some writing. Here's to hoping I'm not absent for as long as I just was from now on.
