  S.H.I.E.L.D. has fallen and HYDRA has risen from its ashes. Every agent that was once seen as one of the best is either dead or has turned against S.H.I.E.L.D. In the aftermath of the crippling takeover, the surviving heroes must band together to revive the agency that they once worked for. It won’t be easy. The job never was. But if it was easy, everyone would do it.
  
  
  
  
  Acceptance and Applications
  
  Please post a filled out copy of the CS Template (feel free to add to it if you want). I will continue accepting applications until a certain date (TBA, depending on the interest) after which I will review all the applications and notify those selected via PM or mention you here. The start date of the actual roleplay is currently undetermined, but those accepted will be notified a few days before the decided date. OCs are encouraged. Canon characters may be played if I approve you but you must submit a CS just as everyone else. If you're interested in playing a canon character, please PM me whenever convenient to discuss. Characters can either be powered or just an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. If you are making a powered character, you must be able to identify the weakness to your character's power.

  I hate to come across as harsh or mean or strict or whatever adjective with a negative connotation that you want to use here, but group RPs have a habit of not working out for me. If you have any concerns regarding these or any other details, feel free to pm me!
  
  
  
  No god-moding/Mary Sues/Etc
  
  This is just a basic rule you should always follow. Make your characters realistic, realistic characters have flaws.
  
  Proper grammar is a must
  
  English doesn't have to be your first language but you must understand how to write it. A few mistakes every now and then are okay but if you write in "txt talk" or just have terrible grammar, you will not be accepted into the roleplay. This is absolutely nonnegotiable.
  
  A minimum of one response per day
  
  This requirement may be negotiated on certain circumstances but it's important to be online often to help move the plot along
  
  A minimum of one paragraph per response
  
  A paragraph in this case is defined as at least four lines of solid content
  
  Being rude out of character is unacceptable
  
  Your partners are your friends. You should bond over the RP, not bicker and argue. In character, there are no restrictions as long as your character has good reason.
  
  Be original
  
  Don't be afraid to stray from the norm. Having a group of characters that are all identical except for their names is no fun.
  
  Know the premise of the show/movies
  
  You don't have to be an expert on S.H.I.E.L.D. or the Avengers. It's not going to be straight out of the movies or shows. We'll carve our own path. Just have a good idea of what you're getting into.​

Like I said in the first post, you don't have to be a marvel expert to be a part of the RP. I myself have never even seen a comic book of any kind in my life. It's the sort of RP that we'll play by ear and have fun with. If it doesn't fall perfectly in line with the established Marvel universe, we'll call it an alternate universe.

Hello all! I just wanted to give you an update about my own character if any of you are interested.


I've posted my CS in the applications only thread (found here or in the link in the first post of this thread). Her relation to Captain America/Steve Rogers is based off of a 1x1 I am doing. My CS has a link to it if you're interested in that as well. If this bothers you, feel free to contact me and express your concern. I certainly wouldn't want to discourage anyone from joining by unintentionally shoehorning a relationship with a canon character into the RP. That's all. As you were! (^.^)


 
Another update guys: I've seen a decent amount of people express interest in this so I'm going to set the deadline for applications as a week from today. I will accept applications up to and on August 2 (so that you have that whole day as well). If this is an issue for you, feel free to contact me.


 
Another update for you guys (wow, it's been an update-y kind of day! xD ): I've made the thread for the roleplay. Of course, it's not in full swing yet but feel free to lurk in the OOC and chat about stuff and things. Applications will still be posted in the current thread and the selected ones will be copy/pasted to the character sign-up tab after the deadline. Thanks!

Hi! Thanks for your interest! I have a concern about your character, though. Her abilities seem too overpowering. Despite being reluctant to use them, she could control everyone if she wanted to and that's more than unfair. I suggest a revision with a different power set or perhaps dampening them by quite a bit.
