Omorov was ready to sluaughter the exile, but he kept still, holding his ground next to Katja as she spoke with hostility before letting out a massive war cry. Omorov immediately went into an aggressive stance as it was second nature to him but returned to normal and looked upon Katja and asked her with a quiet tone "We can leave anytime you wish Alphess" Omo suggested as he was the closest and his strength and size could get Katja back to the den rather quickly and seeing as Shax, Koryn and Convel were also present, he didn't worry about a tactical retreat....

The young pup shot awake when she heard the howl of her alphess and made her way out her den. 'I knew I shouldn't have slept for that long! What was I thinking sleeping in, an alphess never sleeps in!' Caeldori scolded herself as she ran to the entrance of woods as fast as her little legs could take her. After weaving and dodging a multitude of older wolves responding to Katja's cry, Caeldori finally made it into the forest and was on her way to fight alongside her leader.

The pup finally slowed herself down when she was near the source of the howl. Caeldori crouched down and began to sniff around for Katja's scent. It was not long for her young nose to catch onto the scent of the alphess and the Elite Guard Convel, but what worried her was that she could smell blood and the scents of wolves that do not belong. "I'm coming, my leader!" She whispered to herself and quietly followed her nose to where the wolves are.

When she arrived, Caeldori hid behind a bush and readied a surprise attack. However, before she did jump out, she made sure to survey who she was dealing with. 'Hm, it seems to be five wolves and the alphess of course. Seems like the Elite Guard and maybe a loner or rogue perhaps?' Caeldori thought and took a step back. She was trying to get some momentum for a jump but instead accidently stepped on a twig, breaking it. Caeldori prayed to the deceased ones no wolf heard.

Ikki - Forbidden Shadows Sentinal
Addressing: Servius JokerValentine JokerValentine (mentioned)

Ikki had been up for some time now and was surveying the area for any runaway pups. Spring time was usually the season that pumps them up the most, making them feel fresh and able to do anything. 'Ha, to be sp naive and innocent.' The she-wolf thought with a small laugh. Ikki's thoughts were interrupted when she spotted two pups trying to take off into the woods. The Sentinal rolled her eyes and ran after the pups, grabbing their scruff's in her mouth.

"Aw, you always ruin the fun Ikki." The one complained as Ikki settled them down inside the territory. "Yeah! Why can't we go like Elite Guards!" Ikki let out a chuckle, "Because you are not Elite Guards you are pups." The pups stuck their tongues out, "Nuh-uh! We're almost adults and done with training and will be Elite Guards!" Ikki nodded, "Yes but until you earn that title, you are pups." The pups let a huff knowing they were not going to win this argument. So they ran off to play, and Ikki let out a sigh as she watched them go. Suddenly, her ears perked up when hearing a battle cry coming from the woods. "No, please not her." She muttered and went off to find Servius.

His Alphess tipped her head back in a siren like howl, and he released a terrifying snarl. His ears flattened against his head and he lunged forward. The loner was smaller than him, and obviously was quite cocky.
His paws extended forward intent to cause bodily harm. His claws rake over the loner, tearing flesh on her shoulder blade, forcing to to shift to her side with brute strength. He snaps his jaws viciously, before his fangs sink into the soft flesh just behind her left front leg. He growls loudly, feeling her blood drip into his maw, staining the white fur around his muzzle.
He tears at her flesh, shoving and thrashing his head like a savage animal. Suddenly, he releases only to take a larger amount of flesh into his jaws, before throwing her a decent distance. He threw the Loner toward Shax, and licked his bloody muzzle, taking a step toward the Loner once more.

Narkhuudas, an Elite Guard of the Forbidden Shadows had recently died after confronting a roaming grizzly who had spotted his hunting party patrolling the southern ridge. The Sentinels that had been with him recalled having seen his innards fly in every direction, coloring the fall undergrowth dark red. However, in reality, the wolf, or Nurk as he was called, merely staggered after taking the beating and died later of tremendous internal bleeding.

Amidst the chaos that ensued, the Guard's eldest surviving child, a she-wolf by the name of Altantsetseg, was selected to replace him, becoming one of the youngest Elites on the island. After months of contending with the cold, that same wolf would emerge from her den, savoring the warmth on her skin and swallowing her sorrow with a teaspoon of morning dew.

It was a strange feeling for her. It had been weeks since the outcast's cub had been killed and months still since her father died, and in all that time, except today, her head had been filled with thoughts of murder and redemption. But at the first sign of spring, the universe had already settled her debts for her.
The wolves who had drowned the outcast's son had been slaughtered.

Of course, Alta had no ill will towards Kiravay. The Sentinel likely had no idea what happened, and her innocence was made evident by her labored breathing. And now, because of her loss, she could finally focus on maintaining her father's legacy.
With a new air of confidence, Alta would approach Alpha Servius and wait patiently to deliver her daily report.

Kiravay awoke, she hadn't slept very long as she was still having difficulty dealing with the losses, but Servius had givin her great wisdom which Kira took to heart. At least this time there were no bad dreams. Kira stood and paused, "I will fulfill the duty bestowed upon me, I will not fail" she told herself and with a light stretch Kira left to the den entrance. Altansetseg had appeared, most likely to give Alpha her report. Alta was someone who Kira somewhat looked up to as she was the youngest of the Elites and aside from that she felt they had no poor feeling towards one another. Kira took a seat away from the Alpha and Elite as the two would talk, Kira patiently waiting to see if Alta had any tasks for her for the day but after an appology to Servius for her rude behavior...

As Omorov awaited Katja's command, a distant noise caught his attention, his ears perked up and a very loud and deep growl bellowed from his chest, his eyes narrowed, focused on the sound thinking on what it could be "A twig...perhaps a branch? No, it wasn't that loud...." Omo began to show his teeth, a rare occurance even in a battle unless he was in the middle of an attack, they were like claws, razor sharp, each one came to a fine point. His teeth dissapeared and Omo began sifting through the different scents in the air...

Edelweiss Wysteria Hope
The Lone She-Wolf

Edelweiss' attention darted back to the male-wolf that seemed to like flaunting his superiority over her since she was but an exiled and lone wolf. She knew her great-grandparents were part of a pack . . . Twisted Cacophony was it? But, it had been so long ago, did they still hold a grudge against them? Just because she was their offspring she was also considered an exiled or just because she was a loner, she was considered a thorn on their side? Edelweiss never thought there would be a day she was be facing a pack. . but which pack was it. . ? Narrowing her eyes, as her gaze remained sharp and alert, Edelweiss remembers hearing whispers and rumors through the trees and the animals in the forest of the "royal" packs that owned the land but she didn't think she'd actually encounter them today of all days. Spring really springs forth some new adventures, it seems. Nevertheless, Edelweiss did get her wish that if she stepped in some territory maybe the posessive wolves would attack and look where she was now.

However, as Edelweiss continued listening to the wolf, he had struck a nerve by his words of having no family. A deep, low growl escaped her lips as she stared him down, "Think what you like, wolf. But I'm not here to plead my case." At the last of her words, she heard another wolf coming into the clearing as she eyed the dark colored wolf that managed to make his way towards the "alpha". But, when Edelweiss managed her deep, low growl against the other wolves, it seemed the first male-wolf she encountered was giving his own warning growl towards her. She felt the tension in the air intensify as she observed the wolves before her, knowing the all-too familar look in their eyes of blood-lust and malice. Perhaps she shouldn't have given such an answer, but it was too late now.

Soon, the injured she-wolf demanded attention as her voice echoed around them as she stated who she was. The injured she-wolf took a step closer, giving emphasis of who she was, as she stood proudly and tall. Her words rang in Edelweiss' ears and she couldn't believe what she was hearing. She was the Alphess of Twisted Cacophony? The Commander? Oh, great. It was just her luck to confront such a wild and savage pack such as the Twisted Cacophony and to think her first encounter with a pack would be the the one her family was exiled from. It just couldn't get any deeper, could it? However, Edelweiss' eyes remained widened and shocked as she couldn't feel herself moving from where she stood. All sorts of warning bells rang in her head as she tried to compose herself of what was to come next. Her ears twitched as she tried to remain as calm as possible. Edelweiss' eyes never left the Alphess' as she stared through the cold and cruel eyes of the she-wolf before her. The Alphess' stance radiated power despite the injury she had and even more so, when the she-wolf stated proudly of who she was. It felt as if the gravity shifted and the wolves that protected her somehow gained much more "power" and "dominance" over her, giving that boost towards them.

The Alphess' words rang true, she was truly outnumbered, but it wasn't her intent to attack them in the first place. It seems curiosity really does kill a cat, but in her case, a wolf. Seeing the sardonic smile on that she-wolves face was an image that would never leave her head, ever again. The whole turn of events was something she wasn't used to facing, but even more so, Edelweiss didn't want to wait to be attacked by all four wolves. Instead, her eyes darted everywhere, trying to find an answer or some place to quickly escape from the enraged and blood-thirsty beast before her. But, what made her skin crawl with goosebumps was the loud, piercing, heinous howl that emitted from the Alphess that seemed to shock the forest, as it resonated in her ears and it made her heart beat quicken.

With that cry, she knew exactly what was coming. Her ears were ringing at that point as Edelweiss took a step back, backtracking slowly into where she emerged from earlier. Her eyes darted everywhere before her, knowing a hunt. . a hunt for her would begin. She truly didn't want to give them a pleasure of having a satisfying hunt, but she knew there was a good chance she would be overpowered, but she also knew she could out run them due to her stamina if she played her cards right. However, Edelweiss heard something snap behind her and her concentration was broken. For that brief moment, her guard was down as she looked to see what the noise was. It was a pup!

But, in that few second of her being distracted, the first male-wolf lunged for her as she let out a painful, piercing howl as she felt claws slashing against her shoulders causing her to shift to the side as it gave her a clearer view of the pup, eyeing the pup with concern and pain. However, she wasn't getting down without a fight but before she could react, the male-wolf managed to sink its fangs into her front left leg, causing her to fall down with a loud thump. Out of reflex, Edelweiss' tried shaking the damn wolf off but to no avail only for her to lift her free paw up, trying to claw the wolf off by attacking the wolf's face as she tried to get back up again. But, the male wolf was strong and she was being thrown and thrashed around like a doll and the only thing she could do was kick her hind legs as she tried to find her momentum to attack the male back. Everything inside her burned as she couldn't even feel her front leg paw anymore. The smell of blood and the burning pain of her flesh being peeled savagely from her body felt as if she was being ripped apart painfully, one by one.

Soon enough, she felt herself being thrown across the field, but not before she attempted to bite the male's ears, causing some sort of pain and mark on him, before he shook her off of him and threw her to the other she-wolf that was in the clearing. The impact of the throw only made her left front leg agonize in more pain as she growled menacingly at the wolf that was next to her. She thrashed around, quickly getting up, using the adrenaline rush in her body. Edelweiss forced herself to stand, not wanting to be taken as a chew toy to these beast. Edelweiss lowered her stance, taking a protective measure and defensive position as she bared her teeth and tried her best to not feel dizzy from the major lost of flesh and blood. The one good thing about being thrown to that she-wolf was that there was a clearing she can run off into. But, can she get far with her injury? It was worth a shot. If she was going to die, she wasn't going to go down without a fight. Lifting her head she let out a another, loud, painful howl to get rid of the tension building inside of her and everything else was up to her endurance and stamina. At that, she took off, using her adrenaline rush and will to live as she ran as fast as her legs could take her even with the bloodied leg. She managed to get into the forest, running on a path she knew best when she was chasing the squirrel.

Vilkacis took the alpha's advice into mind, and while it was true he had considered spring as the most opportune time for enemies to strike he still heeded his leader's advice whenever it was given. "Thank you my alpha, I am happy to report that so far no trouble has occurred too close to our borders to cause concern. However, as you mentioned before the springtime is a good opportunity for our enemies to strike. With the snow gone it will be much easier for exiles or worse enemy clansmen to enter our borders undetected. What's more, I am not content with how thick the foliage to the west is growing, it has become much easier for me to enter in and out of our clan through this path, and while I pride myself on my stealth it should not be so easy for me to enter. Especially when I'm hardly trying to sneak in; if this continues to be the case I'm afraid that Twisted Cacophony might use this path against us.If it pleases the alpha I would like to propose that we strengthen our border patrol and send a small squad of wolves into the west forest and scout out its possibility for a sneak attack." Vilkacis gave his report with a slight bow in his posture, low enough to show respect but not so low as to cause unnecessary attention towards him during what he believed to be a vital report.

T.here was no way the loner could get out of there without injury, and it would be nearly impossible to get out alive; Katja knew that when she released her outcry. That was half of the fun though, she had to admit. The Alphess watched from the sideline like it was her own form of entertainment as Convel was first to strike. He dragged his claws across her exposed shoulder and then his teeth immediately met flesh. The smell of her blood filled the area, mixing with the scent of her own drying blood.

The loner took a snap at him in return and thrashed wildly in his grasp, and her odds of having caused damage with where she was positioned were very high. As this happened, her ears swiveled out and her tail lifted assertively; she wanted to protect him, to protect her own and get revenge for the wounds she may have caused him, but she knew better than to try in her own condition.

Omorov stayed behind, silently volunteering to help the Alphess in whatever she needed. "We can leave anytime you wish, Alphess," he said to her, and she huffed matter-of-factly, relaxing her body position slightly as she acknowledged his suggestion. It wasn't a moment later that her ear twitched; she heard something coming from the other side of the clearing. A twig cracking? It was hard to tell with all the nearby chaotic noise coming from Convel and the loner. Omorov's sudden, low growl implied that he must have heard it too. Her initial thought went to her attacker from merely moments prior, and her lips pulled back, exposing her teeth, and a deep, threatening growl rumbled within her throat, daring whoever was there to approach. She sniffed the air, trying to find a scent past the stench of iron that filled her nose from all of the spilled blood around the clearing - and then she realized that she recognized the smell. It was familiar; it came from home. Katja relaxed her maw, but the stern scowl remained on her face.

"Caeldori?"

'I truly need to work on my stealth.' Caeldori thought as she watched Omorov go into a defensive stance and sniff around for her scent. Knowing that her sneak attack will no longer work, the young pup started to reveal herself to the others. That was until she saw Convel attack. Caeldori froze in place for she did not want to get in the way, and watched as the Loner took a blow to the shoulder, causing the pup to get a good look at the she-wolf. The young one was able to make eye contact, but only for a short moment and saw the pain in her eyes. This was understandable since the she-wolf was injured, but Caeldori saw another expression. An expression of concern. 'You should be worried about yourself.' The pup thought and watched Convel attack the Loner once more.

Caeldori continued to view the fight, completely forgetting Omorov was still looking for her. Part of her cheered for Convel, but another part of her hoped the Loner would get away. She knew the latter was a traitorous thought and she should wish for the she-wolf's blood to shed. But she couldn't help it. The Loner seemed to be a kind wolf and has proven to be a decent fighter. Most wolves who fight Convel never survive, but this wolf was able to escape despite being seriously injured. 'Then again, it is only a matter of time we find her again, and she may not be so lucky the second time around.'
Caeldori thought.

Her thoughts were disturbed when she heard her name being called by a familiar voice. The voice of her alphess caused Caeldori to become once again aware of her position and decided it was time to reveal herself to the others. "Greetings my alphess." She greeted in her best formal voice and respectfully bowed her head.

Ikki paced around the clan in search of her alpha. She did not wish to run and cause fear to the others of the pack, 'It may just be a false alarm. No need to cause a fuss.' She thought to herself to keep an average speed. The Sentinal finally found Servius discussing with Vikacis and approached them. She noticed Kiravay and Alta standing not too far away and greeted them with a nod before focusing once again on the task at hand. "Excuse me, my alpha. I do not mean to interrupt but I heard a terrifying howl in the forest, and I must ask if it should be addressed." She explained with mild concern in her voice.

Shax
The Elite Guard
Convel threw the loner closer to Shax after his attack, almost as if he was passing around a chew toy. Shax's salivating jaws nearly clasped onto the she-wolf if the sound of a stick breaking hadn't distracted her. A moment's hesitation was all it took for the loner to flee.Without taking a moment to copy her previous mistake, Shax took off after the loner, the first to begin the chase. She gave an aggressive bark, demanding more than encouraging the other capable wolves to follow.

Her strides sent her soaring over the ground after the she-wolf. Her paws beat against the earth like war drums. She chased the wolf, weaving in and out of trees, up and over obstacles and the such, but the loner stayed ahead by what seemed like an unclosable gap. Shax kept in pace behind the loner as she searched for a way to move closer. The two were approaching a sharp left turn, nearing the end of TC territory. Just before the turn was a thick, gnarling oak tree. The hulking she-wolf moved to the right side of the path and gnashed her teeth together, herding the loner exactly the way she wanted her to go. As the loner rounded the corner Shax leaped towards the thick oak. Her front paws were first to make contact, but her hind paws came shortly after. With her hind legs she pushed her body away from the tree with a mighty force, uprooting and leaving half of it permanently exposed to the elements.

The difference between Shax's way of fighting and an average wolves was that Shax did not limit herself to just the usage of her tooth and claw, but she utilized her entire body and environment, from her weight to her tail to the earth below her, Shax would do anything in battle to come out the victor.

Gravity acted in Shax's favor today, bringing her 2,400 pound self down atop of the smaller, injured loner with a terrible force. Upon landing Shax placed her paw on back of the loners neck, slowly transitioning some of the weight pinning down the body to intensify the pain of the neck bone slowly bending in the middle and pushing the esophagus closed.

Shax missed seeing what suffering looked like. Unfortunately, Shax couldn't see the loner's face from here. With gutteral growl she got off of the shewolf, pushing down on her neck extra forcefull as she went. Before the loner could get up Shax snatched her by the most sensitive area on a wolf: the muzzle. Shax's cold yellow orbs bore deeply into Edelweiss', taking in the expression of pain that came with the cruelty and mercilessness of Shax.

Suddenly a thought possessed Shax. She released the loner, never breaking eye contact. "Why did you attack the Alpha?" If this loner had some kind of beef against the Alpha, perhaps Shax could make a deal with her.

He licked the blood from his muzzle, calmly watching as the Loner fled in terror. Shax quickly followed, a few others joining in on the chase, yet Convel stayed back.
His ears were torn in various places, as well as a deep gouge in his muzzle. He shakes his fur slightly, before turning his hazel gaze onto Caeldori. He calmly flicks his ears, before setting his gaze on Katja. While he knew she should be returning to camp to have her injury addressed, he dared not to question her. Instead he calmly steps by her side, licking blood that trickled from his wounds and onto his muzzle. They stung, yet couldn't possibly hurt more than what Convel had dealt to the Loner. He watched Caeldori calmly, as she was simply a pup. He couldn't possibly scare her, especially since she was part of his pack.
He valued innocent pups over yearlings and older, he found their feeble minds easier to control and corrupt, adult wolves tended to be more difficult.
His tail calmly swishes side to side, his gaze occasionally flicking from Katja to Caelbori, attempting to think of what punishment his Alphess would bestow for eavesdropping.

Alta would offer a small nod to Ikki, but noticing where she was headed, neglected to say anything. If any Sentinel had the nerve to interrupt an Alpha and his Elite, they would have to have a good reason for it.
"Excuse me, my alpha. I do not mean to interrupt but I heard a terrifying howl in the forest, and I must ask if it should be addressed." The sentinel explained with mild concern in her voice.

"What timing," Alta muttered, an austere expression already forming on her face. "We talk of war for one minute, and the fighting has already arrived at the camp," the she-wolf thought to herself, already calculating the amount of den space needed to house an infirmary. Alta would glance over to Kiravay, using her body as a reference for bedding and her wounds as a general indication of what herbs she'd need to set out for. If it was anything like the bear, they'd need a group of Omegas just digging up a type of root and another to gather a type of berry. And they'd need more meat. So much more meat. Of course.

With the feeble loners in retreat, Koryn felt that there were important duties to attend to. After all, he must save his strength for the scouting tonight. And the exiles would die alone, so Koryn no longer gave any chase, seeing no purpose to it. Katja, alas, was injured. The male decided it would be best to approach her and attempt to do what he could to please her. He of course saw the friendly interaction with her and Caeldori, and despite him wanting to respect his alpha, she was injured. He was no lovable wolf, so perhaps he ought to interject as best as he could. "My dear alphess," he said rather quietly, "I mean no harm to your form or pride, but the healers in our pack should certainly advise you on your wound. I trust no foolish exile, but I heed warnings all the same. Will it be so rash of me to volunteer to aid you back into camp? For surely such a great alphess does not deserve to lie on such horrid land."

He was a talker, surely, but do words not have purpose? They were strong things indeed, easily lost, but when used with force plunge deeper than any fang. Maybe he relied on words to save his strength, to avoid injury so as he may prepare to hunt in the night with his rival.

It just happened to be so that the chaos of the morning had unfolded, and the scenery was quite ruined. So many voices clamoring their cases of the troubles afoot. Surely all worthy causes to attend to, but the alpha was better organized. First he addresses the question of Vikacis' borders. "I do agree to your proposal, loyal one. Do mind that they are cumbersome wolves, slowed by thich foliage to the point where an attack could be fatal. But they know this, surely. But be quite careful, fair VIkacis. I sense trouble is afoot. Take eight of our finest sentinels to patrol our borders. I have received troubling reports about the state of the Others." Then, the young Alta gave her report, confirming his suspicions. "Alta, I would like you to accompany Vikacis on his scouting for the day," he declared, "as you have the best and freshest experience out of the scouting wolves, you shall serve as a guide."

An alpha's job was hard, dealing with all of the parties vying hard to keep the pack from become corrupted with the foulness of Cacophony. Others of course clamored various apologies, such as Kiravey. Could the wolves have some sustained order of addressing him?

But the one thing that stuck out most was Ikki's report. The howl. The male, nearly frustrated with all, froze as he saw her worried complexion. He didn't nearly mind Alta's glare. As it could've been easily an exile, the howl was haunting to him in that way. The fear it struck in her heart, seemingly, suggested it was Katja. Spring had come, and with it, a threat of war.

"Vikacis," he said suddenly, "I change my mind. you will take six sentinels, the four best scouts and the four best fighters, Alta, and Ikki. I know only so many wolves that can howl so loud as you may hear it from our lands. Be advised, you may expect some dangers."

Katja was a vile wolf, a disgrace in some ways, a fearless leaders in others. Her presence easily scared the alpha to his core. He wished that it were not to be true, and peace had been so temporary.

Vilkacis bent low "It will be as you say alpha.", he then gestured for Ikki and Alta to follow. Before 15 minutes had passed he had assigned additional guards to patrol the borders and gathered the necessary scouts and fighters to follow behind Ikki, Alta and himself. They headed toward the west woods with a small degree of haste now that they had a possible threat of attack, it was almost funny how Vilkacis predicted violence only minutes before. Though he found nothing humorous about the matter. When they reached the edge of the woods, he stopped and called out to the others before they proceeded. "Stealth and strategy are our key priorities here, we can not risk stumbling into a possible ambush so stay close together and tell me if you sense anything out of place. Intelligence is our second priority, try to find possible paths that the enemy might take in order to invade our borders. This area of the forest is very dense and it wouldn't be difficult for the enemy to get close before attacking the clan." With the details out of the way let Alta lead the way into the forest as she was the best scout and could discern danger before any of them, if they were fortunate she could notify him early and he could make a plan to counter-attack.

Her body became heavier as she ran through the pathway of the forest, leaving trails of blood as she passed by. She heard the thunderous sounds of the wolf that had been chasing behind her. It shook Edelweiss to her core, as the beast behind her wanted her flesh and blood. The thunderous sound of that she-wolf's paws beated against the ground, as if it shook the forest, threatening to crack it open, taking Edelweiss with it. Nevertheless, Edelweiss continued her pace, quickening it as much as she could, trying not to pay attention to the excruciating pain with each stride she took. Her tail remained upright and alert as her ears twitched back and forth. Edelweiss tried her best to not trip over the branches as she took a sharp right turn, putting more pressure on her injured leg. But, she didn't care nor had the time to spare at the idea of tripping, instead, she whimpered in pain, and kept on going.

The more she pushed herself, the more she felt her injured legs becoming numb, and she was just on overdrive. But, through it all, despite her smaller form against the she-wolf behind her, Edelweiss was grateful for her petite size compared to the she-wolf, it gave her easier access to find small holes to fit herself in, getting some sort of coverage as she ran through the woods. What would happen to her now? Edelweiss knew no matter how much she could endure the pain and could keep running forever, she knew there would be a point where she could tire out. She feared the idea of never being able to run again rather than death. Edelweiss feared not being able to feel the wind in her used to be pristine, creamy-white coat. She desperately feared that she wouldn't be able to live the life she longed to life and to see the life she ached for: one that was wild and free from border lines.

But, at the same time, the idea of seeing such a young pup. . being surrounded by vile and cruel wolves made her heart ache even more. What were the reasons for her grandparent's exile? The more Edelweiss thought about it, the more she wondered if it was because they were against everything the Twisted Cacophony were. She saw loyalty in the Alphess' wolves, but she also felt something between the wolves were admist. Whatever it was, Edelweiss couldn't think anymore before she felt as if the weight was on her form as she felt something heavier than she had ever felt before, like the world was crashing down on her, fall at her form.

The impact of such a hit made a small crater below Edelweiss' form as she sharply let out a breathe, howling loudly and hoarsely as she heard her bones cracking slightly. She whimpered at that and the more she moved the more she felt a sharp igniting pain course through her body. But, before Edelweiss could even look at the she-wolf in the eye, she felt pressure against her neck as she felt herself choking on her own tongue and saliva. Her tail flicked desperately as her legs wiggled around, squirming her way out of the hold of the she-wolf. But, the more she fought, the more tired she became as she let out hagged and ragged breathes.

Edelweiss' eyes watered but her eyes stared straight ahead, not looking into the she-wolf's eyes as they showed more than just pain . . Instead of the warmth, yellow eyes she had bore before, slowly forming hatred soon started to fill them, as she bared her teeth for one last fight. She hoarsely gave an aggressive growl, pushing herself as she felt the burning sensation of wanting for blood. The blood lust that had been sleeping from the moment she was born began to click inside her beaten form as she felt the need to fight back. To survive. She couldn't allow herself to stop here. But, soon enough, even her muzzle was snatched and that was when she struggled and quickly made use of her strong paw and lashed against the wolf that was above her. Edelweiss used her legs and everything she could to get the she-wolf off of her.

However, suddenly, the beast got off of her, letting her go. Edelweiss was at lost for why she had let her go. But, nevertheless, Edelweiss took this chance as she slowly got up to a sitting position. The moment she moved, every bone in her body cracked, as if it was going back into it's place or just moving due to her movement. Edelweiss used her hind legs as her biggest support as she felt her injured front paw wobbled as she tried to stand. Edelweiss wouldn't back down and she surely would not lay on the ground of sit down. Instead, she stood up, not caring if she was shaking and wobbly. The question that the she-wolf asked rang in her ears as she glared directly into the wolf's eyes, never backing down.

There was still life in Edelweiss and she'd use every last breathe to remain and alive. With a hoarse and quiet tone, Edelweiss spoke, "I . . . did . . . not . . attack . . . the Alpha. But. . will you believe that. .?" She didn't have much to say to the she-wolf and only allowed herself to bare her teeth and snarled viciously at the wolf before her. Edelweiss took a step back, finding some momentum, in case the she-wolf would attack again.

Elite Guard
Addressing: Servius JokerValentine JokerValentine Vilkacis Eldridge Daniels Eldridge Daniels Kiravay Gradous13 Gradous13 Ikki Aero Aero

Alta, in the rush of heading to the forest, was only able to ask of Kiravay a few errands before departing.

"Kiravay. I trust that you will take over Ikki's duty of attending to the cubs? Also, if you are not busy, could you please organize a group of Omegas to start digging for medicinal roots? You know what kind. Along the southern ridge of the camp should be quite enough. That will be all, thank you very much."

"Roots, roots, roots. One must focus on the task at hand," Alta'd think to herself, surveying the undergrowth closely for signs of disturbance. None, and the brambles bordering the coast should prevent most of them from coming in this direction. A Sentinel found an old carcass, but no scent, no tufts of fur left behind. They must've been here before late winter, and it was big game, too big to carry back to camp. Probably a hunting party, nothing to worry about, however...

Alta would suddenly perk up, glancing over to Vilkacis.

"Sir. Do you smell that? Big predator's blood. You can tell by the iron content, leaves a salty taste in your mouth. Too much for a deer or a fox fresh out of winter... It's coming from the North."

The she-wolf took a moment assess the scent further before speaking to the group.

"We're safe now. The breeze is blowing towards us. But as soon as afternoon hits, they'll be able to smell us lurking because humid air any warmer than this will strengthen our scent. If we're going to move forward, we'll either hit a dead bear or a bunch of bleeding wolves. Sir. I assume you have better judgement on these things. How should we advance?"

Vilkacis considered the situation for a moment and came up with a plan, " You myself and Ikki will take two fighters and move forward toward the threat, we will be the main attack force. The other two fighters will separate and take two scouts each with them. They will follow behind but out of sight to our left and right, this way if we come across a large force of wolves we can thin out their numbers if not outright defeat them. And worse case scenario we give one howl and the other two squads move in from then left and right flank and take them by surprise." When he finished explaining the plan he took his squad and quietly led the way toward the scent of blood, staying low to the ground and constantly in the underbrush he took his team and began watching for threats. As they got closer Vilkacis heard the sound of voices, one he recognized as an enemy elite named Shax who was known for excessive violence and aggression.
"Why did you attack the alpha?" she asked not necessarily with malice in her voice, more like cunning.
" I...did...not...attack...the alpha. But..will you believe that?", this was the voice of Edelwiess the loner she-wolf. Something about this whole scenario unnerved him, why bother asking why someone attacked your clan, much less the alpha. And if it was true that Edelwiess didn't attack the alpha, why did they attack her so viciously. Staying in the cover of the underbrush he waited and continued to listen to the conversation.

Omorov found the scent to be Caeldori, a young pup from their pack, "Foolish, to come here at such a place" was his thoughts as being a pup away from the den could easily mean death...

Both Katja and Omo watched as Convel lunged at Edelwiess, tearing into her shoulder and before a counter attack came back at him he bit down on the shewolf's leg, this time an attempt at clawing Convel's face was almost successful but was denide by his strength as Convel tosses Edelweiss towards Shax. The Exile quickly, as fast as she could, got to her feet and took off into the woods, Shax in hot pursuit...

Caeldori emerged from the woods and approached Katja with respect and a well mannered greeting followed by Koryn "My dear alphess," he said in a hushed voice "I mean no harm to your form or pride, but the healers in our pack should certainly advise you on your wound. I trust no foolish exile, but I heed warnings all the same. Will it be so rash of me to volunteer to aid you back into camp? For surely such a greatalphess does not deserve to lie on such horridland." Omorov looked in the direction Shax chased the Exile to "Alphess, I am going after Shax, as we are close to enemy territory." Omorov was not worried breaking off from Katja as Koryn and Convel were both present, each skilled and capable Elites and as there was no longer any immidiate danger. Without hesitation Omorov took of with power and speed. It was easy to follow trail as their was the both blood in the air and the path of caos that would lead to Shax....

Omorov stopped a little less than a hundred paces from Shax and silently closed the gap at a slow pace from Shax's eight o clock. He saw the two staring at each other and since Shax hadn't devoured her catch, there must have been a question involved. Omo sat a body length from Shax "Well?" Omo's deep voice began, his saphire blue eyes looked upon the Exile as if he was looking into her very spirit, "...Did you become bored or have you found something out?" he queried with interest, he made his body comunication know to Shax "Keep your guard up, there is more than just our presence here, I'm not in the mood to play with the bears today" was Omo's message. Bears not likely, Wolves or large cats? A much higher possibility...

Kiravay stood and bowed in Alta's presence as she held the title of Elite. "Kiravay. I trust that you will take over Ikki's duty of attending to the cubs? Also, if you are not busy, could you please organize a group of Omegas to start digging for medicinal roots? You know what kind. Along the southern ridge of the camp should be quite enough. That will be all, thank you very much." Alta said after tasking Kira with several duties for the day, "Gladly, Alta, It will be done" she replied with a motivated voice. Kira knew that to get over the guilt she carried she would need to be motivated. Kira left to get a gathering party together as well as a few helpers to attend to the pups...

Kira soon gathered those needed as well as the pups to look after. She decided that they would go as a large group and move together in case somthing would happen. Even if the group was comprised mainly of Omegas, if a loner would happen to come by their numbers could easily overwhelm the wolf, or anything of that size....

A.s soon as she inquisitively called out the Pup's name, Caeldori stepped forward and dutifully greeted her. Katja didn't have time to reply, for she was interrupted as the injured she-wolf suddenly barrelled across the clearing and disappeared from sight, Shax hard on her heels. The Alphess watched them go, finding herself to be sadistically amused by the sight of it; Shax was a giant compared to any wolf Katja knew, and she was especially massive in comparison to the loner who was built more for what she needed to survive - speed and endurance.

Omorov immediately leaped forward after them as they disappeared, leaving her behind with a brief explanation, "Alphess, I am going after Shax as we are close to enemy territory." Even though he had already taken off, she blinked and nodded subtly in agreeance. Her Sentinel then pulled her attention away from Omorov as he sprinted off, and one of her ears flicked towards him to hear what he had to say. "My dear Alphess, I mean no harm to your form or pride, but the healers in our pack should certainly advise you on your wound. I trust no foolish exile, but I heed warnings all the same. Will it be so rash of me to volunteer to aid you back into camp? For surely such a great Alphess does not deserve to lie on such horrid land."

He was right that her injury needed attending to, and she knew it; she was still in a great amount of pain - not as much as at first, but it still throbbed, and blood was still being pumped out with every heartbeat. As Koryn asked this, however, her red-orange eyes were on Caeldori. She didn't respond to him at first, her thoughts instead on what she was to do with the Pup. After a moment's hesitation, Katja finally nodded to her Sentinel, glancing briefly for a moment at Convel who still stood loyally by her side as well. She eyed the tears in his ears and the bloody gash across his muzzle. "Convel," she said to get his attention, "come closer here. Are you okay to help me walk back to camp? And Koryn," she continued, "will you grab today's hunt? After everything that's happened, it would be nice to still return home with food for the pack." She gestured toward the elk behind them with the tip of her nose; she hardly gave her command a second thought, not realizing she had selfishly brushed off Koryn's request to aid her. "Also, I ask that you keep an eye out for any more trespassing wolves. It would be best to steer clear of them at least until we get back to camp."

Katja then turned her stare back on Caeldori. "Pup, come," she demanded, flicking her tail as a signal for her to follow. It was hard to tell if she was angry with the Pup or not; her tone of voice gave away nothing. As she waited for the Pup to obey her orders, she peered over at Convel and nodded again, an indication that she was ready to try walking.

The Alphess took her first step with her right forepaw, and then like clockwork her left hind followed, then her left forepaw. She let her right hind follow as if it were going to be hardly a problem, but she winced and would have fallen had Convel not been standing there, her face contorting painfully, giving away her discomfort despite the brave face she was trying to put on. After that, every time she took a step with her injured hind, she let herself lean on her Guard, trusting him to be able to completely hold her up so that she could put a minimal amount of pressure on her leg as possible. After a while, she figured out how to hop using her strong hind leg, preventing her injured leg from touching the ground at all; she still relied on Convel, however, to make sure she wouldn't trip if she suddenly happened to lose her balance. Behind them, she left a trail of blood, but it definitely wasn't the first blood stain made that could lead a daring wanderer into their territory.

The large brute watched Caeldori for a moment more, before turning his gaze towards Katja. When she requested his assistance, he carefully presses his body against hers, causing his silky fur to graze against her. The wounds on his ears and muzzle stung slightly, yet he showed little to no weakness. He walked slowly for Katja, every time her body leaned against his, he could feel his chest fur prickle with a feeling he had never felt before.
The scent of late evening as faint, the birds and other small critters have long since been silenced. "Alphess." he begins quietly, "Do you still feel comfortable with Koryn and I patrolling West Forbidden Shadow territory? Or would you like me to remain close to watch for any more loners or a possible attack?" he kept his eyes trained forward, his ears swiveling towards her.as he inhaled periodically. The scents of the forest were subtle again, yet the stench of iron still lingered. "For all we know, that wolf was sent by Forbidden Shadows to assassinate you, and leave us vulnerable for an attack" he growls loudly, the thought of an ambush made his pelt bristle slightly
The pair was nearing camp, so he settles his fur and calms the rumble in his chest. His hazel eyes glance toward Katja, "In all do respect, Alphess." He begins gently, "We cannot afford to lose you, but I will forever obey your orders." Perhaps Convel was speaking on the behalf of the pack, or perhaps he was speaking his own feelings. His tone was gentle, as Katja's had been when she told him to come back alive. His ears flicker slightly, his chest fur prickling with light embarrassment.

Shax
The Elite Guard
A vibrant pink tongue escaped Shax's mouth, swiping over each jowl to clean the droplets of blood that dotted them. The sight of the wolf was pitiful. She struggled for air, her chest rising and falling in shallow breaths, but she was too proud to just accept death. Luckily for her, for once Shax had greater things to attend to, and as long as the loner satisfied the rebellious Elite Guard with the right answers, Shax would leave her for some other wolf. Shax has just begun circling the loner when Omorov revealed himself. He spoke, but his words barely met her ears. She focused intently on what he was doing with his body. He was moving in such an awkward way, very stiff and robotic. His ears perked and then folded back in suspicion. He was acting as if he had noticed something that she hadn't, but Shax had been so caught up in the loner than she hadn't bothered to watch her surroundings. A subtle dip of the head voiced her awareness of Omorov's signals.

The threatened presence of another wolf kept Shax from questioning the she-wolf further. No other wolf could know of Shax conspiring against her Alphess. She could, however, question the wolf as a concered Elite Guard out to avenge her Alphess. "Who attacked her then?" Shax demanded, acting out her part with feigned anger. "Where did she go?" Shax refrained from releasing any questions that could even vaguely reflect her true intentions.

Edelweiss Wysteria Hope
The Lone She-Wolf

Her pants became more shallow but nevertheless, the low rumble of a growl under her breathe still continued raggedly as she remained alert as best as she could while the she-wolf circled around her. Edelweiss didn't move a muscle, wanting to stand in one position as much as she could, trying to relax her muscles from tensing. Her heart beat still rapidly beated against her chest but nevertheless, her ears twitched and her tail swishing lightly, using it as a balance so she wouldn't fall. But, a voice and another sound of paws rumbled against the ground as Edelweiss turned to see who else decided to join in the she-wolf's hunt. She never understood the idea of hunting one of their own . . species, but it seemed it didn't matter to these beast. All they wanted was blood after blood, until when?

Seeing the piercing icy blue eyes stare deeply at her, Edelweiss' own yellow eyes stared into his, swirls of emotions surfaced as there were mixed emotions of anger, sorrow, and contempt. But, what Edelweiss wanted to know was what game he and the she-wolf were playing at, if they were playing games, she wanted in. She always enjoyed a game, a challenge, but in her current state, she knew she wouldn't be a match for both of them, hell, even one of them. But, she was a stubborn wolf, and didn't know any better and when to quit. So, Edelweiss remained quiet, breathing in and out slowly as she steadied her breathing as best as she could with the injuries she was enduring. Slowly, even her body decided to correlate with how she was functioning with everything that came at her at once.

Edelweiss' ears twitched at the she-wolf's questions as she narrowed her eyes back at the wolf. During this time, Edelweiss hadn't moved an inch still, her stance still wobbling slightly, but nevertheless, she used her good right leg and placed more weight on that side. If only there was a river near-by then perhaps she could clean the stains of the dried blood on her coat. The smell of iron was always foul in her mouth. But, that's to say if she lived through all of this. Moving her head slowly from side to side, Edelweiss spoke, "I don't know. My guess is as good as yours." She said lowly, her voice still hoarse and quiet. "The wolf who attacked your Alphess ran off and you can guess what happened next." Edelweiss finished as her eyes scanned her surroundings once more, trying to figure out what the she-wolf wanted, especially in regards to her questions. It didn't make sense and although she had tense some underlying motives in the words she had spoke before, right now, Edelweiss' guess as to what it is was as good as a dead end. Inhaling sharply, Edelweiss winced slightly before speaking up once more, "Loners don't stick together, it would be ironic if we did. Why? If you're looking for someone to blame or to find blood, you already found one, but now you question who actually attacked the Alphess. Why? What do you want?"

Vilkacis was beginning to wonder what the true intentions of these wolves were, and he would have spent more time listening in order to gather more information had a scout not shifted their weight and snapped a branch giving away their location. This now complicated their scenario considerably, and after giving a glare at the clumsy scout he shifted his focus back on the two she-wolves. Vilkacis now had only a few choices in this scenario, they were discovered now there was no way to change that. So now they could flee and make their report or stay and see if maybe they could get the wolves talking long enough to let some more information slip during the conversation he would initiate. Deciding on the latter he signaled his squad to step out into the light and left the other two in reserve, should they need backup. " I myself am also curious about why you would attack a lone wolf who didn't even provoke your clan. As well as ask you what you have to gain from attacking said she-wolf, you are renowned even in the Forbidden Shadow clan for your aggression Shax but surely you aren't one to simply attack anything living you see. Especially when they are so close to our own west woods, would you mind enlightening me on the situation then, or perhaps you would even be so kind as to let me and my clansmen know why your alpha decided to let the whole island hear her war-cry and set us all on high alert?" Knowing Shax she would not be revealing too much information; however, if he could play on her anger maybe she could let an important detail or two slip.
