Northern Sector⠀│「Dahlia」
Dahlia is the name of one of the eight regions on Planet Rugern, each having their own armed defense systems used to combat otherworldly threats. Dahlia is located on the northern continent of the world, oppressed by two Angelium Pillars that came shattering down from the skies during the events of Armada Starlight. It is one of the four surviving regions that is able to fend off against the anomalies, but with minimal success.
There are three heavily militarized garrisons in Dahlia — Alpha Division Traumathir, Beta Division Novaris, and Omega Division Sangvis. The other two divisions that had existed prior to the apocalypses collapsed after the aggressive attack of the anomalies, having less than enough time to prepare for proper defense to combat them. The battle that would consume these garrisons would give enough data for Traumathir — the headquarters of operations to conduct proper defense mechanisms, lasting them from the periodic waves of attacks by the anomalies.
The story takes place in Beta Division Novaris, in the year 2096.
Armada Starlight⠀│「Anomalies」
Armada Starlight is the official name of the apocalyptical event that occurred on July 29th, 2089. For nearly an hour, the inhabitants of the Rugern witnessed a series of meteorite showers that seemed inoffensive at first, until its later stages, when giant, skyscraper-sized pillars struck from above. A total of twelve pillars came shattering down from the skies, imbuing itself into the planet's surface. These crystalized objects would later be known as Angelium Pillars, a catastrophic and unknown hazard with no identifiable origin. The Pillars are nearly indestructible in defense.
They were harmless at first, radiating an intense amount of magical energy that got the scientists of Rugern interested in wanting to study this strange anomaly. For roughly 72 hours, the military collected pieces of the crystal that bad sundered from the original, later finding out that these substances were radiating and pulsating with vigorous magical energy. It would later obtain the name "Vauperite", shortly after the Angelium Pillars began its programmed assault — by unleashing a wave of infectious miasma that turned sentient lifeforms into hideous, barbaric demons.
Anomaly is the unofficial name given to those infected by the miasma, especially after their body transforms into that of a monster with no moral value. The miasma, once breathed in by anyone of sentient origin, are subjected to drastic bodily transformation and intense overall pain, depending on the miasma level they inhaled. There are a total of four stages until one becomes an unrecognizable anomaly — treatment may be possible, but only if the patient has inhaled grade 1 miasma, which can only be found 30 kilometers away from the Pillars.
◈ Grade 1 Miasma: Considered to be harmful to the lungs with 85% chance of permanent lung damage, this grade of miasma has a low rate of turning lifeforms into anomalies. It covers 40% of the Angelium Pillar's outer hazard radius. The victims can be treated via special antibiotics and nebulizers specializing in treating the symptoms. Fortunately, not contagious.
Symptoms: Severe shortness of breath, fever, intense chest pain, peripheral neuropathy, hypoesthesia.
◈ Grade 2 Miasma: Patients with grade 2 miasma infections are considered lost hope. They have an arbitrary number of days to live ranging from one to five days, until their body transforms into an anomaly. Those infected with this grade of the miasma are normally ordered to be executed and burned immediately, due to contagion risks. Grade 2 covers roughly 35% of the Pillar's hazard radius.
Symptoms: All of the above, hemorrhagic fever, hyperactivity, insomnia, excessive salivation, nausea, and many more undocumented.
◈ Grade 3 Miasma: Impossible to document. Infects and consumes the victim too quickly for proper evaluation. Those that are unfortunate enough to inhale grade 3 miasma are victims of rapid body transformation, turning into an hostile anomaly within 10-30 seconds.
Symptoms: Near instant body transformation, intense physical pain. Euthanasia is highly recommended.
Anomalies are physically more stronger, durable, and ruthless compared to that of the normal person. They take a hideous form of a monster of all shapes and sizes, and are capable of growth through devouring meat and absorbing the life essence of uncorrupted sentient lifeforms. In some cases, they are documented to be hostile against one another, especially under the threats of having their food taken by another Anomaly. It is unknown how many forms the Anomalies have, but it is documented that there are several classes.
Weapons Technology
Before the reckoning of the Armada Starlight event, the world of Rugern was no stranger to geopolitical tension and proxy warfare. Because of the constant paranoia of large-scale war, the military technology around the world adapted to what's called the "Black Technology", which is a term used to describe the amount of man-slaughtering weapons that the government was forced to create in order to reassure the safety of its people. Dahlia was one of the few regions that was able to fully grasp this concept while remaining neutral in the geopolitical conflict.
Black Technology, while it is a generalized term, is often associated with the use of inhumane weapons such as energy rifles and particle accelerator/atom smashers. These weapons are capable of slaughtering and mutilating thousands without effort, as they have proven to be the new weapons of mass destruction for stabilizing protests and unorganized crowds. A few anomalies are immune to particle accelerators and other energy-based weapons, for reasons that are left unknown. However, ballistic weaponry and steel blades has never failed to kill an Anomaly.
Resources & Medical Technology
There exists canisters of liquid and/or gas that is capable of healing injuries based on its fatality rate. While they are difficult to manufacture and come by in a world where resources are limited due to an apocalypse, the military supplies their soldiers with at least one canister per combatant, to expand their longevity in combat. These mythically-powerful canisters are called Inciburators, and often come in either liquids or vapor, depending on the combatant's environment. The vapor-type canisters are usually locked onto the respirator's filter system, having a slower healing effect.
Inciburators are capable of healing physical injuries and to some extent, regrow detached limbs and bones. The subject is usually under the effects of anesthesia for roughly 2-3 minutes during the healing process, becoming durable to all types of pain and receive restoration of stamina. If one were to not have an Inciburator in their arsenal, the overall medical technology is capable of treating fatal wounds and many illnesses, with proper antibiotics and antidotes that work well against wounds caused by Anomalies.
Arkfalls Ironclad Armed Forces
Better known as "Arkfall", the Arkfall Ironclad Armed Forces is the army associated to the alliance of Arkfall. Led by the Alpha Division Traumathir, the military specializes in the usage of mechs, known as Anti-Extinction Kaiser Slayers, specifically designed to take out colossal anomalies. They are very limited in number, but highly effective in completing missions as simulated. A few remnants of these Slayers lurk within the miasma-infected lands, awaiting to be discovered by those who are brave enough to venture into the blackened mist.
Vauperite⠀│「Anarchys Longinus」
The aberration that was the Armada Starlight was not an entirely destructive catastrophe, as it threw humanity a bone for their survival. Vauperite is a crystalline mineral that broke apart from the Angelium Pillar during its shattering fall, that is radiating with intense crimson aura and pulsating with great magical energy. In itself, it is an explosive crystal that can cause a severe damage to its surroundings once triggered via heat, and can take out an entire city along with a horde of Anomaly if used as a one-time weapon. However, without wasting such valuable resources, Vauperites can be transferred into one's body through a difficult heart surgery, transferring the essence of the crystal's magical energy into the blood vessels, blessing the wielder with great magical potential.
While magic is common knowledge in Rugern, its capabilities were always overshadowed by technology and science, due to its weak nature. However, with Vauperite, magic becomes the weapon that perfectly counters the Anomalies, as all spells created via Vauperite's influence is considered Anti-Anomaly, dealing severe damage against the demons. Additionally, Vauperite also gives its wielder another form of ability called Anarchy's Longinus, the most powerful spell one could have in their arsenal that can only be used once per day, as twice would drain them of their conscience.
Anarchy's Longinus is the physical manifestation of one's intensified desire. As such, it is impossible to use for those whose ambitions are fragile. If one's will is to save those from damnation, the Vauperite will manifest an Anarchy's Longinus in a form of a magic spell, that can be used to revive a person from death. If one's will is to destroy every Anomaly in existence, it will manifest into an ethereal weapon that can wipe out hordes in an instant, but with limited usage and time. It can be regarded as the Ace of Spades, used only during the direst of situations.
However, research and military expeditions has proven that the Anarchy's Longinus does not have any effects on the Angelium Pillars and Anomalies that has transcended level 7 metamorphosis. For reasons unknown, the Anarchy's Longinus seems to vaporize itself the moment it makes contact with the Pillars, while level 7 Anomalies and above can withstand its firepower and survive. For how humanity will destroy the Pillars and regain independence, is unknown.
LUCERIAN
Lucerians is the given name of the demographic of people who have animalistic features on their bodies, such as feline ears, dragon tails, and horns. They live an average life span of 90 years with excellent stamina and hyperactivity, making them one of the most athletic race in Rugern. The Lucerians dominate the main population of Dahlia by nearly 65%, with over 30% of Rugern's general population coming from the Lucerian bloodline.
ESGUINE
Unlike Lucerians, the Esguine race does not possess any anthropomorphic features. They live an average of 150 years, with a strong immune system that protects them from external illnesses. However, Esguines are known to be less agile and have lower stamina than Lucerians, exhaustion being more common. Esguines usually combat their weaknesses through self-magical enhancement.
SERRALINE
Serralines are amongst the rarest races in the world with the general population harboring only 3% of their DNA. They are difficult to reproduce due to gene incompatibility with most races, and generally have a difficult time repopulating due to their low longevity, which is only 50-60 years. Serralines, however, are extremely durable, have the ability to regrow lost limbs, and have near indestructible bones that are difficult to slash through. Most Serralines have dragon-like horns and tails, though some do not possess any of their ancestor's features. They are more resistant to the cold and the heat than most other races.

There will be a more "fancy" character design in the near future. If you'd like to use something with more texture, you can fill this CS out and convert it later once I make a more formal one.
