  To the unassuming, Amiela can seem rather dim. Often having a rather detached look on her face as well as being clearly socially naive. Amiela isn't particularly unfriendly, though she does find significant difficulty expressing herself due to underdeveloped social skills (a result of her upbringing). She nevertheless does try to make conversation when spoken to, but often falls short of anything coherent which can give her a rather dumb look. Oddly enough, she has no difficulty communicating during a military/battle environment.
  
  But beneath it all, lies a girl who is sick of being tossed around by the waves of life. Who wishes that she'd been dealt a better hand but accepts the meagre one she has, and so will work with whatever she has to make her mark on the world. Though whatever that mark is, she doesn't exactly know. Like a restless soul raging to release itself, only it hasn't really found a direction.
  
  This inner passion translates into an incredibly efficient and pragmatic work ethic, as she knows that she has nothing to offer but her martial abilities and so decides to make full use of it.
  
  HISTORICAL BIOGRAPHY
  

  
  Amiela Aeterna never had a family. Not one of blood anyway, no. But she did have siblings of heart, and their bond ran deeper than blood. Amiela was born an unwanted, unwitting offspring of a nightworker and her client. A mistake. Even the social worker who found Amiela by the doorstep barely glimpse her supposed mother before she disappeared around the corner.
  
  Dropped off at one of the many orphanages at the border between the urban rich and the slums of Northern Dahlia, it was here where she spent much of her earliest years. She grew up sickly, having breathing difficulties the moment she attempted anything remotely strenuous. It was a mundane lonely life, silent and empty despite the backdrop of a noisy overcrowded orphanage. She might've been a bubbly cheery child, if not for her circumstances forcing the young Lucerian to retreat within herself. That was until she met them.
  
  Aeria, Tersola 'Tess' and Nagale. Older children of the orphanage. Troublemakers with their playful mischief, but armed with pure hearts. For one reason or another, they took to the young sickly Lucerian enfolding her into their little clique without Amiela being none the wiser. For her part, she followed along because she didn't have anything to belong to anyway, though she still remained largely reticent. An emotional wall erected as a defensive mechanism by an abandoned unwanted child. A wall which took many many years before even the three managed to tear down.
  
  And then They came.
  
  Somnias Heavy Industries. A shining megacorporation of cutting edge machine manufacturing and technological research spanning many different scientific arms. As part of their many corporate social responsibility exercises, they would donate large sums of cash and resources to various orphanages around Dahlia; Amiela's home being one of them. But beneath the gleaming philanthropical facade, lies a dark secret. In exchange for the donations, orphanages were required to sign off 'unwanted' children into the custody of the Somnias. Of course, this was all under the guise of scholarships, though the managements obviously knew otherwise. It worked to the benefit of often overcrowded orphanages, and their management could live with their conscience knowing that those children will be under the care of a very resourceful and caring organisation; at least on paper.
  
  So it was, that Amiela and the Three, were chosen to receive the Somnias Scholarship even though she was barely half a dozen years old. Of course, it was totally not because the Three were pesky troublemakers and the medical costs for the sickly one weighed heavily on the meagre orphanage's resources. Young Amiela simply rolled the wrong dice.
  
  At Somnias it became quickly apparent that the scholarship was just a guise for a despicable research program that honed children into specialized killing machines of the Somnias paramilitary division. Dubbed simply as Agents. It was here where they were primed, poked and prodded as test subjects with no rights. While Somnias ultimate goals were objectively neutral, the methods in which it employed them were coldly inhumane at best. Perhaps one of their most successful projects was the Shiverskin Program where subjects were successfully integrated with a kind of organic metal nanite (OMNi) that gave Agents unique abilities, essentially enhancing their combat effectiveness. It was also due to this that Amiela's breathing difficulties were overcome. A scoring star in Somnias' records which was proudly shared with shareholders, minus the methodology of course. Though there were other children, the group of four formed an inseparable bond with Tess becoming the somewhat de facto leader, while Amiela the 'baby' of the group.
  
  Nevertheless, a political far-right group had managed to dig up dirt on the megacorp with the aid of a whistleblower. This resulted in the shutting down of Somnias' Agent Program essentially making Amiela's batch the last. But though no new children were taken in, the division continued to operate in secret.
  
  And it wasn't all nefarious, with the Agents being deployed to assist the Somnias' own official paramilitary troops from the shadows in whatever geopolitical tension or proxy war that required a firmer conclusion. Objectively grey areas of course, always for the greater good was the message they got from the higher echelons. Then came Armada Starlight and the Angelium Pillars.
  
  Somnias Heavy Industries was situated near one of the five Heavily Militarized Garrisons in Dahlia and even provided assistance to its machinations. In the early weeks and months that followed Armada Starlight, the megacorp benefited from its proximity to an Angelium Pillar. That was until the anomalies appeared. And then they multiplied, spreading like wildfire. And they grew bigger. The Garrison was overrun, and with its fall so too did civilization around it.
  
  A few weeks after the fall of their garrison, Beta Division Novaris border patrol identified two lone survivors emerging from the mists.
  
  With a barely living Tess hanging onto her tired shoulders, Amiela took one look at the soldiers before she too collapsed into unconsciousness.
  
  In the remaining years till the present, Tersola would be in a state of induced coma hardly kept alive by life support. As for Amiela, she made a full recovery. Almost... for the Lucerian had suffered a severe bout of amnesia, remembering in sketches the weeks that followed Armada Starlight and next to nothing of the events that triggered the downfall of their region. Amiela was once again alone, with only the names of her fallen siblings to remember them by.

  Free from the corporation at last, but with a set of skills very well suited for warfare, it wasn't long before she was inducted into the Garrison and the fight for all mankind.

  EQUIPMENT ARSENAL
  
  
  
  Main Equipment: Shiverskin
  
  Shiverskin tech is arguably the primary link that resulted in the dissolution of the Somnias Agent Program on the 7th of December 2088. This controversial technology implants Organic Metal Nanites (OMNis) into the subject whose DNA has been irreversibly altered to accept the foreign material. While cybernetic implantations aren't entirely scandalous, the fact that Shiverskin was implemented on unwilling (but 'rightless') subjects was the crux of the controversy. Moreso, because the process begins at a very young age. Shiverskin tech alters various sections of the subject's flesh and skin into a kind of dark matte organic metal, allowing the agent to utilize the OMNIs in a number of ways unique to their agent class. Before Armada Starlight, using the Shiverskin abilities depleted OMNi density within the Agent, and if used too much, would be detrimental to their health. OMNis could only be replaced by taking in a special supplement to regenerate supplies. However, after the discovery of Vauperite crystals, Somnias Heavy Industries found out that Vauperite implantation altered agent physiology to the point where their bodies could utilize innate mana and standard nourishment to replenish OMNi density.​
  ​
  Each Agent is equipped and trained to master a different Shiverskin ability, also called Protocols. Amiela's main Protocol is the Nightjar. She does, however, possess the Mockingbird Protocol as well. Attained from the Neuralchip that once belonged to her sibling. Amiela can only ever use one Protocol at any given time.​
  Author's Note: I know this doesn't really explain what Shiverskin does. But as this tech seems like quite a handful, I thought I should at least take up a whole 'inventory' slot just to flesh it out. Its actual functions will be detailed below.​
  
  Secondary Equipment: Shiverskin: Mockingbird Protocol
  
  Somnias Mockingbird Agents are masters at providing heavy suppressing firepower. Once belonging to Amiela's sibling, the Mockingbird Neuralchip was passed on to her upon his death. As she was not explicitly trained with it, Amiela can only utilize it to a limited capacity.​
  ​
  Mockingbird Protocol deploys OMNi fragments into an array of up to 8 point-defence systems that float around the agent. Each fragment can fire rapid energy blasts for light to light-moderate damage this mode is the only one that Amiela has figured out how to employ and is especially useful for providing cover fire against masses of lightly armoured Anomalies; conversely, in this mode it is less effective against larger and more heavily armoured targets. Although Mockingbird Protocol can be enhanced by the implanted Vauperite heart, Amiela still hasn't figured out how to do it yet.​
  
  Arsenal Slot 1: Shiverskin: Nightjar Protocol
  
  Somnias Nightjar Agents can utilize the Nightjar Protocol in the form of an ability called Bastion. During battle, a Nightjar can deploy OMNi fragments which float around them, acting as a kind of passive armour. In passive form, it blocks attacks by simply being in the right place at the right time (basically coming between a bullet and an Agent's face); this is not entirely reliable as their positioning requires the Agent direct them consciously with full focus. Perhaps really only good for blocking random fragments and debris on the battlefield, rather than actual attacks). Nightjar Protocol's true application is fully realized when the Agent shifts their focus to direct the OMNis to accumulate en-masse, forming a wall or dome of cover. While by no means impenetrable, Bastion does serve its purpose in basically being disintegrated along with whatever energy or projectile it obstructs.​
  ​
  Nightjar Protocol can be further enhanced by the implanted Vauperite heart to become an immovable wall with superior defensive capabilities.​
  
  Arsenal Slot 2: Twin MD Dagger
  
  Two long-bladed combat daggers with keen edges. MD or Material Dissonance utilizes the vibrating particles of the blade's edge to make the weapon exceptionally sharp. For all intents and purposes, these are just really really pointy daggers.​
  
  Arsenal Slot 3: OMNi Combat Foam (OCF @ Osif) and other standard medic supplies
  
  OMNi Combat Foam is a temporary 'patch-it-up' that is intended to chemically and physically sterilize a wound by literally 'filling in' the gaps. Unlike standard bandages, the organic nanites does not need any external chemical application to sterilize an affected area. The more fluid and muscular-mimicry nature of the OMNis also allows for lesser loss of mobility at the affected area.​
  
  Primary Spell: Empathic Touch
  
  By pressing her hands against a subject's skin, Amiela is able to share the burden of the subject's emotions often providing calmness to a distressed mind or honing the focus of the disciplined, enabling them to function with intense clarity and efficiency.​
  
  Supporting Spell: Syphon Entropy
  
  The addition of the implanted Vauperite has awakened and enhanced an inherent ability within Amiela. She is able to use her body as a conduit to draw upon the life force of any organic matter (must be living i.e. plantae or animalia) and transfer its living essence to speed up the healing and regeneration process of another being. She can also draw upon her own lifeforce. While this shortens recuperation time from days to mere minutes or hours, it is extremely energy, focus and mana intensive not to mention the necessary 'bloodcost'. Mending a broken bone, for example, must incur damage or an 'entropy-cost' of similar magnitude to a broken bone. Nonetheless, the cost can be spread to minimize damage to the giver.​
  ​
  Injury to vital organs requires even more cost than a simple 1:1 ratio.​
  ​
  Amiela is also unable to heal herself. In fact, syphoning entropy with no outlet for the energy causes her intense sickness.​
  
  Anarchy's Longinus: SACROSANCTUS CASTELLUM
  
  The manifestation of Amiela's desire to prevent the loss of her dear family. Her profound will extends in protecting and healing waves which is rumoured to be able to resurrect and heal recently fallen allies. Preliminary investigation indicates that the effect works better the closer the emotional connection Amiela shares with the person. Amiela only has vague recollections of performing the ability once on a fallen sister. The border patrol that found her and the Somnias Agent Tersola reports that the Lucerian was chanting a particular phrase of unknown origins: 'Sacrosanctus Castellum'.​

  Kyburis is the product of the world's demand for soldiers with exceptional capabilities, being born into the military's training grounds before she had the mental consent to make her own choices. Such was the norm for most whose parents fought for the innocent, breeding soldiers of valor and teaching them the values of peace, and how it must be maintained through blood and sacrifice. And so, her rise to gallantry was no unusual upbringing.
  
  As the Lieutenant Colonel of the Arkfall's Ironclad Armed Forces and a private contractor for the Armored Retribution Consortium, she radiates an aura of competence and leadership, caring for her teammates no matter who they are, as long as they share a common goal to successfully execute the mission and survive. Her concerns mainly lie in her own inability to save those who she could've with better judgment, but as someone of strong mental confidence, she is able to stomach such distress during difficult times.
  
  Otherwise, Kyburis is respectful and speaks in a formal manner during the majority of her intimate conversations. She is not well-versed in slang and tends to keep her professional view for the most part, and tends to get along with her squad mates without an issue.
  HISTORICAL BIOGRAPHY
  

  
  The world of Rugern has always been the melting pot of geopolitical tension, no matter the region of one's inhabitance. As such, Kyburis, as a child whose parents served the ARC before the events of Armada Starlight, grew up in an environment of military practices and physical training for combat and self-defense. There was no deniability that Kyburis wouldn't follow the footsteps of her parents, as their influence shined like a bright star to the young girl, who admired her parents and considered them to be the heroes of Dahlia.
  
  Kyburis entered the ARC's training regiment at the young age of 12, authorized by her parents who held intentions to force her to lose interest through the first week of training, wanting their daughter to understand the danger that is international politics. Instead, Kyburis pushed through the stages and hardened her mental abilities, ironing her will and adjusting to close-quarters combat, disobeying her parent's wishes for her to become someone of civilian status. When asked why she wished to finish her exams and become a soldier of valor, Kyburis answered with a different explanation than what she would've answered seven years ago.
  
  "It didn't take long for me to understand my father's words, initially before starting my training. In fact, I was ready to quit and obey my parents without question. The mental torment was too much for me to handle, and honestly — if I was any older, I probably would've cried and left the regiment with a shameful look on my face. The reason why I gritted my teeth and endured the bitter suffering was because the only people who ever mattered to me, died the day I was signing my renouncement papers. My parents sacrificed themselves for a group of people who had no affiliation with our own country, because they were contractors who swore an oath to protect their clients."
  
  "It's all too dramatic, honestly. The same people whose lives were spared turned out to be double-agents working against Dahlia, and that was the final straw that enraged an inferno inside my heart. It's quite cliché, becoming Death's emissary for revenge. And it's even worse remembering the fact that I never got my hands on those bastards, because of those Angelium Pillars. I'll keep praying that they've received a painful death. But until I can satisfy myself with retribution, I know what they would want me to do in a situation like this. To fight the greater evil, and save the people who are defenseless. Our duties as soldiers are simple: To suffer, means to save another."
  
  Majority of Kyburis' background is unknown and classified for security reasons. Other than her seven year training in the ARC facilities, her records of successful missions and affiliations around the world seems to be rather dark, with no real available data on the computers.

  Main Equipment: ARC-47 Solareign Blade
  
  A steel energy-powered blade that has the ability to engulf itself in anti-Anomaly flames powered by the Vauperite in the wielder's blood veins, by siphoning their mana source through the grip. The equipment is surprisingly durable and needs to be recharged after few hours of use. Even without its functions, it is sharp enough to slice through most anomalies, albeit with difficulty compared to its powered version.​
  
  Secondary Equipment: Inquisitor
  
  The Inquisitor uses .357 magnum rounds enhanced with piercing magic, which is used to puncture through tough defense and scales on Anomalies. It can carry a total of six rounds within its cartridges and a fast reload mechanic that allows the wielder to load all six bullets at once. However, while in close and mid-range combat it is considered deadly, its range of effectiveness is left to be desired.​

  Lusa often comes across as brusque and unflinchingly professional -- though this may be the case, it's not intentional. Lusa is passionate about his work in the Beta division and devotes himself body and soul, leaving himself little room for anything else. He is perceptive and quick-thinking, but struggles with seeing the big picture and can be reckless in his decision-making if he believes the end goal is justified. Though he seems unfriendly, he is not particularly antisocial. He tries on purpose to avoid getting attached to people in order for him not to lose sight of his goals, but often is unsuccessful -- once he bonds with someone, he latches on tight. Emotionally repressed at times. Can be coaxed into immaturity and playfulness, if in an environment he deems safe to relax in. Has a soft spot for children.
  
  HISTORICAL BIOGRAPHY
  

  
  Lusa was the eldest child in a large family. He quickly became used to the role of caretaker, to an extent. His parents pushed him to become a scientist like his father and work on weapon development, but he resisted and joined the army first chance he could, with the idea that he would be able to help protect more people that way.
  
  Once the Armada Starlight hit, Lusa was separated from his family and sent to work defending various towns across Dahlia from the anomalies. To this day he does not know of his family's whereabouts or even if they are alive and safe, as they were forced to flee from their hometown six years ago and Lusa has not heard from them since. If he were asked, he would say his reason for fighting is to one day return to his family and younger siblings in a world he's helped restore to peace -- but truthfully, he's lost sight of that dream, believing his family to be gone, and only keeps fighting because he doesn't have any purpose or identity left beyond his role in the garrison and the fight for Dahlia.

When she wasn't seeking the attention of others she was always working out, pushing herself to her absolute limits. Wanting to get stronger so people will notice her. Leaving her old life behind she decided to help those in need, so that she would make sure all eyes are on her. Very self indulgent, but not someone to cross.   “It’s all bullshit. All of this – the Lansyrene garrison exam, the spec ops report, the mission reports, even the wraith records. Bullshit. Incomplete and wrong. Even before I joined the military, I knew I had issues. That I was a problem child. But none of them, they thought about helping me deal with it. All they thought about was how to deal with me.”
  
  A scoff, a sigh, then a puff on a cig followed by a cough.
  
  “Oh, most of them aren’t too far from the truth, but they don’t try to understand. They’re trying to put nametags on feelings. I wish I could say I’ve changed in what, sixty years ? Haven’t. I’m still a cold, uncaring bastard. I haven’t always been one, but I learned really quick. I needed to be in control. Y’see, there are two parts to me. The first is, well, me, of course. Thoughts, method, memories, all that stuff. What I like and don’t like, what I believe and the rest. That’s who I am. A perfect structure, perfect straight lines, angular. A fortress of ice. Then there’s what I am. Emotions, but raw. Unbridled. Basic instincts – feed, fuck, fight. Running loose. Call it the Wretch. That’s why I’m how I am. Can’t let the Wretch out.   A lonely youth

  “I was born in Lansyrene, a small backwater town in Dahlia. Well. Small might be an exaggeration. Lansyrene had uh… twelve thousand inhabitants, I think, at the time of the civil war. Let’s say ten thousand when I was born. Quiet town, really. River, fields, houses here and there. It was very rural, all things considered. Main exportations were wool and freshwater. The local garrison was about two hundred if my memory serves. All training and equipment came from GCIM, a corporation in the nearest city. GCIM was about the only reliable equipment provider in the area; okay they fucked everyone over with their cutthroat rates, but at least you knew what to expect when firing their guns, and they offered a very nice 10 years guarantee on vehicles.
  
  Anyway, all that to say that my childhood was unremarkable at best. My dad was a trader – mostly dealt in foodstuffs – and my mom worked for GCIM, something about internal management. I was like every young child, a ball of chaos and unquenchable curiosity. Even today, I’m still amazed as to how I managed to not die before I was ten, given how prone I was to get myself in situations that should for all intents and purposes been lethal.
  
  I was lonely, though. The Wretch stirred up more when I was around other excited people. I didn’t want to hurt them, I didn’t want them to think of me as a freak. Or at least not that sort of freak. So I immersed myself in workout and nerdery. Anything to stay in control of myself. It became an addiction, really. I didn’t lose it until what… My fifties I think ? Maybe a bit sooner. Then I turned 18, and then 19 and I joined the GCIM militia.”

  Early conflicts

  “I spent maybe two-three years in the probation camps at GCIM. Officially it was only two years, but after I got formally recruited they didn’t have an affectation for me so I just stayed there. I didn’t want to get bored, so I went through every training course, one after the other. The executioner classes appealed to me the most, so I chose that as my specialization.
  
  It’s after that 3rd year that I got promoted and they made the psych evaluation you heard in the other record. So I got transferred to spec ops. Now the real shit began. GCIM was one of the better corps when it came to dealing with civilians, but against other corporations ? I think that pretty much all of my 9 years in GCIM’s spec ops could have me executed a dozen times or so for war crimes. Not sure if it was actually crimes though, given the absence of law.
  
  Anyway yeah the corporation shadow wars were dirty. I’m not talking mud-on-the-boots dirty, or even war gasses dirty. Think more like… Repeated torture of enemy agents, firefights within, around, above and below corporate buildings, spying, murdering, constant paranoia. You quickly learned to have eyes behind your head to not get backstabbed by your teammates while infiltrating an enemy warehouse; also picked up how to tend to your weapon yourself and not accept anything for equipment from anyone – even your bosses – without triple-checking the safety. And making your own bullets. Really useful trick, this one.
  
  Though sometimes we earned a true victory. Eliminating a branch leader would pacify activities for months, and then you could breathe and start trusting people again. If you had purged the networks – destroyed the connections, erased the information – then you knew the successor of your latest victim would not be an issue for at least a year or two.
  
  So after nine years being a paranoid killing machine on the corporate battlefield, I got decommissioned and told to take a break. Which I did, because I had no choice. My break lasted nearly one year. I spent it purging every single information anyone had on me in the corporations. Even my own parents. I made sure I became a blank. Oh, I kept everything, yeah. S’here. Just… no one else knows.”

  The experiments

  “Came outta the woodworks in 2051. The stuff that had happened in the last two decades had greatly changed the political and economical landscape of my area. The new state was happy to see me join their fresh army. Didn’t even do a background check. Okay, they wouldn’t have found anything on me, but still. I served in the ranks for 19 years. Was one helluva fuckfest, let me tell you this. Corruption was the least of the issues. Summary executions were like a weekly attractions. If you were found guilty of a crime, they’d put you to the gun. Whether you were actually guilty wasn’t relevant. Never got judged myself though. Too dumb, they thought me. In the end I survived and all the cretins who thought they could leverage their shit for favours ended up dead.
  
  Then in 2070 I got “promoted” into a special project. WRAITH, it was called. Co-led by the military and Nextech Inc, WRAITH was officially a program of genetic and cybernetic study for soldier improvement. What it truly meant was subjecting four test subject to – obviously – totally unethical operations in order to optimize their genome for warfare and cyber them up to improve their combat ability and make them into obedient puppets.
  
  Fairly sure they chose me because of my attitude. Passive as I was, I think they were convinced I was retarded or something. Their mistake for not doing an ability evaluation. I mean, I’d probably have faked it anyway, but still. Picking up the one turbo nerd was bound to have consequences. Sneaking out of my cell was child’s play, reaching the labs was a bit harder but not impossible. Once there, I had a lot of fun messing with the biotech and the cyber bits. Eventually the butterfly effect kicked in, but that’s for later.
  
  One day, we of the first generation of WRAITH soldiers were subjected to the combat aptitude test. Essentially, the four of us in an arena, battle royale. Obviously it went to shit. I was codenamed Wraith Purple. The others were Red, Green and Gold. Red KO’d Green on day one then stalled against Gold and they allied together against me. The arena was a simulated jungle, not really a terrain I’d been deployed to like… ever. So what I did was, eh. Essentially I kept tracking them until I found them and then I stalked behind until they tensed, so like a whole week maybe. On the moment, I was fairly sure I got a bad score for that part. Anyway, one night I took out Red when he was a lone, which left only me and Gold. Left Gold a message and a map to a glade, so we could finish this one on one.
  
  Gold was stupid, and of course came to the challenge. Our suits were supposed to be sealed for the entire duration of the test, but I’d managed to unseal mine on day one. I’d left it in a conspicuous location in the glade, so that Gold would come and check it out. Dumbass never even did a heat scan. He was so busy looking for a black suit that he wouldn’t give a fuck about a random brown-grey-green pile of stuff lying nearby. Which of course, was me. He came to knock on the suit, and I snuck behind him. Two knives in each hand, another blade between the teeth. While Idiot Gold was distracted by I kid you not a fucking scarecrow, I slit his ankles, then stabbed the back of his knees and cut his spine at neck level with the last blade. Then snapped his neck. Then cut the head off.
  
  For good measure.
  
  I may have been slightly overdoing it, or sort of paranoid, but the bio and cyber tech we had on us during the test was honestly really impressive, so I took no chances. The scientists were pretty pissed. There weren’t supposed to be casualties during the test, and now I’d murdered Gold – which apparently was the one they had the highest hopes for. I mean. If he could be beaten by a sneaky girl in a camo jacket, they’d need to re-evaluate their expectations, because the WRAITH program was nowhere near ready in that case. Told them as much and put my gun to their heads to make them understand.
  
  The expression on their faces when they realized they couldn’t remote control me was priceless. I think it’s the thing that made me the happiest until… Until I opened the Shack, I think. Anyway they really freaked out, so I offered them a deal. I wouldn’t kill anyone else – sorry not sorry, Gold – and they would start experimenting with us instead of on us. For some reason, they agreed.
  
  Might’ve had something to do with realizing the girl you’d been torturing for 2 years and thought was an illiterate moron turned out to be better than you at the shit you had a PhD in and literally zero qualms about murdering you. Also the gun. Strong argument, that. There ain’t much you can reply to hard lead through the brain matter.
  
  They weren’t happy that they had to be humane, and more than a few times I had to remind them. Everything went well for a while. Until I discovered by hacking into their mail that they’d opened another division – in which they didn’t give a damn about the rules I’d set up, and were experimenting on children.
  
  I terminated Red and Green the next night, picked up my gear, doused the whole place in gasoline then struck the match, left and never turned back. Went to the other division, purged the researchers – sent the project manager’s head to the military HQ in a nice box – evacuated the children then left after setting the place on fire. Still, I’m not a barbarian so I salvaged all the data I could from both sites before arsoning away.
  
  The place I went for was a large city. Nowadays it’s somewhere behind the frontlines in the Novaris sector.”

  Shack life

  “Settled down with the kids and took on myself to raise them. I had pretty much zero resources at this point, so I didn’t have many options to get by. Merc work or sex work. Became a merc. The stuff I salvaged from the WRAITH labs were honestly quite helpful in carving my little chunk of the city’s underground. Wraith became a word they feared. I used the money to raise the kids as properly as I could – mostly involved finding them good families to adopt them, sending them money and keeping them away from the places I worked in.
  
  Was also at that time that I set up my hideout. The Shack, I called it. An underground pub thing. The military knew I was here. I knew the military knew. They knew I knew they knew. It was a weird standoff, to be completely honest. But they knew my credentials in the new state military. They knew my combat ability. And they knew I was alone and passably weaker. Sent regular raids on the Shack. I repelled them once, twice, three times. Then I sent a single message. Coordinates and a phrase.
  
  The ashen mass grave that was the last trace of Lansyrene. A graveyard without tombstones stretching a mile across. A whole town burned down to cinders, inhabitants included. The message was simple.
  
  “I struck the match to this pyre.”
  
  I got a single mail back.
  
  “Point taken.”
  
  Then about a week later I had a stroke. OD’d on something, apparently. Didn’t know it was even possible for me anymore, but I wasn’t gonna complain about getting my first high in decades. One of the Shack staff members had brought me to a hospital, I’ve been told afterwards. The doctor had no idea of who I was, so he told me plainly that I’d never recover unless I went to the military for an experimental nerve implant.
  
  Cut a deal with the high ups of the army. They’d give me the implant so I could walk and somersault around again, but in exchange I’d have to go on a mission to deliver something to Traumathir. Chances of coming back very low. I’d been wanting to die for a while now, so I said yes.
  
  And now, here we are. I’m recording a “last days” diary on old as fuck tapes, getting out the old documents and everything. If anyone ever listens to this, know that I’m on my way to die. You aren’t obligated to give a single shit about me. You can destroy it all if you want. Or you can care, and remember. It’s a legacy like any other, but special in its own way. Like any other."

  Main Equipment : Wraith Purple multipurpose combat suit
  This completed version of the Wraith ensemble suit is centred around giving its wearer the ability to kill other human beings. The suit itself is completely airtight once sealed and carries an integrated diagnosis system, allowing the wearer to check their own physical status in real time. The inside of the suit carries an integrated holographic HUD to allow the wearer to monitor every functionality of the suit. While the suit does not bring any physical enhancement to its wearer, its sensory arrays allow to hunt targets from range with great accuracy. The suit carries the following sensors : IR, UV, X-ray and night vision, the latter coupled with a flash mitigator to circumvent the issue of night vision being crippled by sudden flashes. In addition, the suit’s inner layer is looser than the outer layer, but can tighten around body parts to help maintain broken limbs or wounds. Finally, the cloth strips on the suit are made of an undisclosed material that repulses most observation electronics and causes eye fatigue when looked at for too long. However, the Wraith suit has a major drawback, that of being extremely exhausting for the wearer; indeed, it is powered by the wearer's own stamine through a neural socket in the spine area, and it is advised not to wear it for longer than 6 hours in a row, with at least 10 hours of rest before the next use, at risk of permanent muscle and brain damage.
  
  The Wraith rifle shoots UV-ionized blobs of gas that deal heavy damage to organic tissues but are nigh-inefficient on machines, although it can be switched to firing accelerated steel bullets with a HUD command. Those bullets are slower than the standard firing mode and deal less damage, but do not suffer from lowered efficiency against mechanical targets.
  
  Secondary Equipment : Wraith proto suit
  The Wraith proto is a lighter version of the wraith suit, without all the fancy tech. It's essentially a polymer-plated body armor and sound-erasing components for accrued stealth. The rifle is an AJ-103 LCPR/S developed by Nextech, with the advantages of being a very accurate silenced sniper rifle and the disadvantages of being low caliber and with a low bullet capacity.

  The length of the cable is 15m. The cable can withstand the weight of two people.
  
  Arsenal Slot 2 : TC-4 "Clarent" Neothelium Alloy Sword
  41.5 inches long, form-memory grip. This sword has no special ability aside from being very sharp and being heat-absorbant. With enough heat stored, the sword's hits can create heat "afterimages", heat vibrations that cut along with the sword for additional damage.
  
  Arsenal Slot 3 : Empty.
  
  Primary Spell : Lightweave
  With this spell, Angyra can create ropes of dim purple light between two objects, that can be used as footing, bindings or anything else. Multiple ropes can be created at once but put a greater strain on her.
  
  Supporting Spell : Veil
  This spell hides Angyra and her allies each in their own shroud of darkness, reducing their noticeability and muffling the sounds they emit to a certain extent. More efficient at night.
  
  Anarchy's Longinus : Truth of the self
  This spell lets Angyra to perfectly embrace and embody both halves of herself, allowing her to live without lies or deceit for a certain duration. While this spell is active, Angyra shifts into an Anomaly-like monstrous form and gains significant increases in every stat. She will however be entirely irresponsive for at least 3 hours once the spell wears off. In this form, she is able to fire energy rays through her eyes and move on nearly any surface with ease, as well as being extremely stealthy.

  Caiaphas is brilliant but eccentric. He's constantly focused on something or another, and as a general rule, he's very flippant. He seemingly never cares about the gravity of situations, and he always bounces around, speaking as if nothing serious is happening. Furthermore, it seems as if for him, emotions are muted. Not quite gone, but it certainly does seem like he has trouble displaying them; however, he does oftentimes say what he feels. This is part of another little facet of him: his need for explanations. Caiaphas will often explain how he'll come to such a theory or plan, and seemingly rambles on and on about such things. The problem comes by the fact that he can seem arrogant with his explanations; he often simplifies his explanations, sometimes to idiotically basic levels. He will also often question how people don't know what seems like common knowledge to him.
  
  Caiaphas is also very kind and very much wants to help people. He sees others hurting, he tries his best to help. The only problem is, he oftentimes manipulates and deceives friends and allies to achieve such goals, goals that could very much emotionally hurt them. Sometimes, there's not even a real point to this manipulation, but he still does it anyways. That's not to say he does nothing himself; he often includes himself just as much in these plans. But there are times when Caiaphas does the job himself. Alone, without involving others. It is also during these times that he becomes serious. And some might even call it vindictive. Push him hard enough, and he will calmly force you to bear the brunt of his anger.

  Main Equipment: Energy capacitator
  
  A seemingly small and innocuous tool, the Energy Capacitator, as Caiaphas calls this device is actually a multipurpose energy emitter. Powered by a tiny Vauperite sliver, one flick of a button means that it shoots a blast of energy at whatever the tip is aiming at. Furthermore, a switch on the other side allows for the energy to be continuously emitted and shaped in the fashion of a thin beam of light, approximately 3 feet in length. This method tends to be taxing on the energy, however.​
  
  Secondary Equipment: .357 Magnum Revolver
  
  Caiaphas' more... reliable weapon. It shoots .357 rounds, and is generally a solid backup weapon for him; the design itself is very simple, and the cylinder holds the standard six bullets. It's not fancy, but it gets the job done.​
  
  Arsenal Slot 1: Mantle of Disruption
  
  This coat, upon being donned, emits three sprites of energy that orbit around the wearer. These sprites can determine when a dangerous attack is going to land, and can impose themselves in the way in order to prevent harm to the user. However, once the damage is blocked, the sprite dissipates. It takes some time to recharge a sprite, typically an hour, unless supercharged.​
  
  Arsenal Slot 2: Personal Drone
  
  Caiaphas' personal drone; he largely uses this drone for a variety of mundane tasks, such as aimlessly monologuing to something, having it scan in places he can't reach, carry small tools and the like, and relay messages to others when he is indisposed to visit said people. The drone, while containing a small taser, is not meant for combat. It's energy reserves are too small to appropriate handle a large weapon or fire an advanced energy weapon, and it's AI programming, while advanced, is not geared towards combat. And while it's AI is still advanced, it is still an AI, programmed to follow tasks and provide a bare mimicry of a personality. It largely relays information to Caiaphas via his implant in his temple, though this has a range of about a hundred yards. And despite the fact that it's a robot with little to no personality, Caiaphas often treats it as if it did have a personality.​
  
  Primary Spell: Entropic Shards
  
  Using this spell causes purple semi-solid shards of amorphous, crystalized energy to shoot out. The range, size, and number vary; however, the more shards there are, the smaller and less of a range they have. At the minimum amount of shards, one, the results then begin to vary based on size. The smaller the shard, the greater the range and penetration. The larger the shard, the easier it is to fracture and splinter into many deadly pieces at the expense of range.​
  
  Supporting Spell: Devensive Pandemonium
  
  Casting this spells causes gray mist to emanate from the caster; the caster can then manipulate said mist into what they desire; namely, this is to achieve one of two results: the first one being a sort of cloak, providing those designated with not only a boon in terms of evasion, but also an increase in actual defense as well, as the mist not only swirls and causes enemies to be uncertain of location, but also coalesces to block strikes when needed, albeit in an ineffective and partial manner. It's second use is to cause the light to scatter in certain ways, projecting the illusion of some image as designed. It can even, to a certain extent, mimic touch, though there are problems with attempting to recreate it: namely, any contact more than a light physical touch would break through the seeming solidity state. However, attempting to recreate feeling also leaves the illusion either smaller, or less detailed and believable in sight.​
  
  Anarchy's Longinus: Maelstorm
  
  Caiaphas' ultimate expression of his chaotic nature: Upon casting this, a storm appears with a 50 yard radius that, while acting as a regular storm in respect to the fact that directed lightning bolts strike enemies, also provides a disharmonic field that compels entities within said storm to attack each other, and ignore designated 'safe' entities. Furthermore, gravity in the said storm is negated, though to the extent seems random; it DOES follow a seeming radius, however, in that more often than not the outer edges of the storm are more akin to standard gravity while in the center of the storm gravity tends to disappear altogether. that within that radius will both A.) Cause hostiles to turn on each other, B.) emit lightning strikes that hit enemies, and C.) Temporarily suspend gravity.​

  Caiaphas is, well, blind. At least, in the traditional sense. To counteract this, he has a device implanted on his temple that projects constant echolocation pulses in order to give him a clear, if somewhat sketched, image of his surroundings. However, this implant has been known to give Caiaphas headaches. In addition to the implant, he also has an excellent sense of hearing as well.
