  A single parent: My character is a new parent looking to adopt or have a child of his very own and goes to an adoption center during one of the open adoption days and talks to a few of the children and teens at the center and eventually finds a child or teenager that he can connect with on a much deeper level that even he realizes and decides to adopt this child or teen and tries to be a good parent and show their adoptive son or daughter that not all adults are the same and that some actually want to be a family together with their children or teen sons or daughter. Your character is a child or teen that is looking to be adopted, but doesn't believe that it will happen to them or are way to shy to even think people may want them until they meet my character.
  
  Runaway/Abused Teen: A child or teen runs away from their abusive family and is eventually found by a person who hadn't even thought about finding a runaway child or teenager. The person takes the child or teen with them and even though they both agree to stay with each other until they get to where they are both going, but after a while instead, the child or teen decides to stay with this person who they see as better than their previously abusive family and tries to come up with a way to ask the person they have been traveling with if they can become their permanent and new parent and become completely attached to this person and are extremely shy around people that they do not know even a little bit.
