Yep ... try clicking on Interest Checks. It takes you to Dice ... with no options to get to the other two types of RP's.

What link? The links to both on the forun homepage are working for me and taking me to the correct spot.

From the moment you get the home page ... and the list of forums. I can't get to them.

Really?

Huh. They are working fine for me on my phone and computer (Firefox and chrome) What browser are you using?

Well, I'd suggest trying to close the browser and restart. If that doesn't work, you'll probably need to wait for D Wiz because I haven't a clue.

If you look at Interest Checks ... then the small print where it give the subfolder count, it says .. 1.

Also, if you go to the side bar on the right and click on the Group icon of the interest checks, it takes you to Dice.

Ooooh, yes, because the interest checks is the main forum, where the dice interest checks is a sub-forum, which is why there is only one sub-forum listed.

Where does it take you when you just click on the forum title "Interest Checks?"

Well, I've tried my friend's PC for Chrome/Firefox, my Mac for Chrome/Firefox, my Ipod, and my friends Iphone and it is linking correctly in all of them. I think you may need to talk to @The Dark Wizard on this one. From what I can tell, everything looks correct in the back end as well.

Hmm, I think I know what he did. Just realllllyyy confusing. I think I am looking at the Group interest check RP's. I clicked on link to Dice Interest checks at the top ... and the view changed to a different list with dice being mentioned.

Aaah, yes, that could do it. Sub-forums (like the dice interest check in the interest check forum) are listed at the top. You can see a really clear example in a hosted project where you have the sub-forums at the top and the threads down below.

Just to be sure, you clicked on Interest Checks on the main forum page:

<p><a href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2015_06/57a8c2dbd8e4b_Capture-InterestChecks.JPG.4cb2f070997496efc13e6184bd64ccb0.JPG" class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image"><img data-fileid="57005" src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2015_06/57a8c2dbd8e4b_Capture-InterestChecks.JPG.4cb2f070997496efc13e6184bd64ccb0.JPG" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt=""></a></p>

...and got this, right? It shows Dice at the top because it's a subforum and subforums are always listed at the top, but below, all the threads are for non-dice RP.

<p><a href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2015_06/57a8c2dbd627f_Capture-InterestChecksclick.JPG.46c815669425a33f9799bf6fc37480a9.JPG" class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image"><img data-fileid="57004" src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2015_06/57a8c2dbd627f_Capture-InterestChecksclick.JPG.46c815669425a33f9799bf6fc37480a9.JPG" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt=""></a></p>

If you click on the Dice subforum, it should take you here (note the lack of subforums at the top):

I don't think there's much that can be done about that other than splitting it off into its own forum entirely (and adding more clutter to the main page) or mixing them all together, which would be even more confusing.

Yeah ... still confusing to have the Dice link at the top there.

I can't control that, the software has been doing that for years.

I'll see about moving it out instead.

I assume this is being caused by the dice roller tab at the top? I kind of lost where the topic was going after a few posts (sorry for my stupidity).

You can also try to rename it, I believe it was using the Custom Tab addon originally that got the tabs the way they are... However there was a tendency to try and keep every link to one word, like "Roleplays", "Members".

Still - it might help to name it "Dice Roller"? Depends on the level of confusion and demand, I guess.

Likewise a renaming of the "Dice" game forums could also be a possibility. However, as a disclaimer to everyone else, the Admins have to weigh many options when making site decisions, so these are just possible recommendations. There are probably a hundred things that could be done and sometimes none of them are the right answer. ( :) )

LOL, Miz ... no clue what YOU are talking about. But if has nothing to do with the thread.

Good morning. Get yerself some coffee.

My issue here was the change in the Interest check pages. 1x1, Group, and Dice each used to say what they were at the top of the page.

Now, the 1x1 has its own main folder.

Interest Checks has a subfolder for Dice. The fact that it says Dice at the top of the page is a little confusing. It made me think I was in the wrong folder. It finally dawned on me to click on Dice RP Interest checks to see that the posts were different.

@Miz Not the dice roller in the floating bar at the top of the page, the Dice subforum within the Interest Checks forum. (^.^)
