In the small region of Stardew Valley, there's a quaint little town known as Pelican Town.
In this tiny town, two young ladies from the different walks of life discover a friendship in
one another. As Lucy and Arisa grow as friends, they discover that life has more in store for
them than they ever could have thought. 』

It was too early.

That was the first thought that went through Arisa's head as her phone's alarm went off and she clumsily tapped the screen to get it to stop. Groaning, she sat up, glaring out at nothing in particular. Even after a week of adjusting, she still hated waking up this early. But farm life had a pretty strict window of sun-up to sun-down. The plants needed to be watered before the heat of the day, and she had to make sure her two chickens were fed and well.

With one last exhausted sigh, Arisa got up. In 30 minutes she'd gotten cleaned up and dressed. Even though it was springtime, early mornings were still chilly, so she grabbed her dad's old bomber jacket before heading out.

The crops---some parsnips and beans---were watered and weeded. Helen and Kathy, her darling little hens, were doing just fine.

With her farmer's duties taken care of for now, Arisa glanced at the time to see it was 9 AM. It was a Monday, so she knew she should probably head into town to stock up on food. The thought...was kind of scary, to be honest. The past week had been a bit of a blur. All her energy had been devoted to unpacking, ploughing her garden and sowing the seeds, getting her chickens situated---honestly, the only time she'd been into town had been to buy seeds. That was it. She hadn't talked to anyone, hadn't met anyone...it was quite literally only done out of necessity.

But now that she had set everything up, she realized that she now had enough time to actually go somewhere. She needed food, she knew. Her fridge was empty save for some milk and snacks she had bought when she first came here. Arisa gave a heavy sigh. Into town she went, she supposed.

It was still weird to think she could just walk to Pierre's. Back in Zuzu City, she would've had to take a cab, or dodge crowds of people. She grew to hate it so badly that she started using a delivery service for most of her groceries. Now, she could just...walk down a carless, dirt road into a town with no streets. It was surreal. But, 10 minutes later, she was standing in front of Pierre's. No one seemed to be around, thankfully. She did see an old lady stepping outside of her house quite a ways away, but that was it.

The bell above the door jingled merrily as Arisa entered the store. Pierre greeted her with a cheerful smile, which she politely returned. She ducked into the aisles immediately, intent on getting out of here as soon as possible. Let's see...cereal. Yeah, cereal would be good, she thought as she scanned the shelved. She spotted her favorite brand, which was a pleasant surprise. She reached forward to grab it...only to brush hands with someone else. She looked over in surprise to see a young woman with black hair and blue eyes. Arisa retracted her hand quickly. "Oh, sorry!" She said, sending a panicked smile the other woman's way. "Didn't mean to intercept you like that!"

Lucille, or more commonly, Lucy, had just been doing her normal Monday routine.

She typically did her grocery shopping on the first day of the week, just to have it out of the way. She was in her typical spring day clothes, a mainly black and red color scheme. She had a basket full of items. Some laundry detergent, milk, some fruits and veggies, eggs, ect. Typical items you’d shop for.

She’d finally made her way around to the cereal, quietly she considered her selection before just going for one at random. Her hand flying back as she accidentally brushed against another’s. “Oh! So sorry!” She exclaimed softly, an apologetic smile on her face.

“It’s all yours!” She said, handing the box of cereal over to the brunette. She waited for her to take it before grabbing a different box for herself.

“I’m Lucille by the way, or well, Lucy. You must be the new farmer?” she introduced herself, holding a hand out to shake. She’d remembered hearing word of a new farmer taking over the old farm, which to her sounded lovely, she’d remembered her grandmother talking about the top quality produce and items from it back when it’s original owners were still around.

Arisa flushed as the other woman relinquished the box of cereal. "Thanks," she said, rather quickly, as she took the box and set it in her basket. She blinked as the woman - Lucy - continued to speak, introducing herself. Arisa nodded. "That'd be me," she said with a nervous smile. "I'm Arisa. Arisa Ravenwood."

She hesitated, not really knowing what to say next. Don't just stand there, say something! She scolded herself. It would be rude to just walk away, especially since Lucy had so kindly let her have the cereal. Arisa shifted her basket to one arm, tapping the handle with her other hand. "So, Lucy," she began awkwardly. "Um, do you live in town, or...?"

Well, it wasn't exactly the smoothest conversation starter, but it was something, which is all that mattered really.
