Realistic or Modern Life in the City ("friends" type of roleplay)

This is a "Friends" based roleplay, although the characters do not have to be similar to the show.

Three boys, three girls, taking on New York City. There are lots of opportunities and adventures that await them. Have fun!!​

Charlotte walked into her new apartment, holding her bags.

She smiled, walking in. It was beautiful.

She realized she had been the first one to get there, so she raced for a bedroom and found the biggest one. She grinned and laid her bags down on the bed, claiming it. She had a bay window, with a gorgeous view of the park. Perfect source of inspiration.

Looking around at the colors, Charlotte frowned. She thought it was a little bright, but it'll do. She took out a paint sample that was a very dark maroon, and decided she would get it and paint her room. She grabbed a sticky note out of her purse and put it on her bedroom door. 'My Room Bitches' is what the note read. She smiled deviously and stuck it right on the door. She left the room and took a deep breath in. She lit a few candles she brought with her to make the apartment smell nice. She texted in the group chat with all of her friends, letting them know she had arrived.

Marcy came from the Grand Central Station. She was now taking a subway down to the block where the apartment building was at.


Marcy was extremely excited and didn't know how to control it... Thankfully she did take medication so that helped it a bit.


The girl got off of the subway and raced down the street to the apartment building. Once Marcy was inside she screamed with excitement in her voice, "I'm here ass hats!" She noticed not a bunch of people weren't here. Marcy walked to a free room, noticing that one room was already taken by Charlotte and peeked into the room, "Sup ass hat!" She grinned and blew a kiss before running to the cutest room in the apartment. It was a bit of a small room but she didn't care. It was perfect for being in the dark... Since she's so freaking pale that won't bother her that much. Marcy might as well be a vampire.


Marcy put down her suitcase and began to make her bed, put up her band posters and lights. @ anyone @BrooklynBaby

Landon

He walked into the apartment and walked down to where the rooms were. He rolled his eyes at the sign Charlotte has put on the door. He was carrying his coffee as he walked into boy's apartment and went into the next room he could find. It was an ok room and to be honest Landon didn't care what it looked like.

He rested his bags on the floor and took a sip of the coffee. He took a small dry erase board and hung it on the outside of the door and wrote on it 'Cheeky you thought you could take this room...well it's mine!' He was probably going to take this down once everyone settled down. He went back into his room and looked around. "Not a bad room..." He mumbled to himself.​

Owen's large duffel bag hung from his shoulder as he parked his motorcycle outside and walked up. He went to the appropriate floor and opened up the room to the guy's apartment. Owen smiled as he was excited to begin this journey in New York with people who he held close to his heart. The room he wanted was closest to the living room in case someone decided it was a good idea to break in. He carried a big brother aspect his whole life and it carried up into his adulthood. Owen just felt responsible. His room came with a nice sized space and a decent closer with a window to the street. He set his duffel bag down and smiled with excitement as he couldn't wait to see the girls.

Once settled he walked over and gave a knock on the door hoping they were in. "Come on, I can totally hear you guys fighting over rooms." He stood there and waited for one of them to open the door.

Brittany Storm

It had been a long drive for Brittany, getting to the apartments. She was tired and achy. She sighed grabbing her bags out of the trunk, she had gotten her things from home shipped to the apartment so when she got there she looked for the room with her things in it then set them all up. When she was satisfied she put her things away and laid down on the bed with her legs dangling over the edge.

Normally she would be bouncing off the walls, but all she had wanted to do was sleep. After a little bit she stood and took some Tylenol before she made her way to the little living room area and grinned a bit looking around "Okay! Britt Britt is here" she giggled trying to be her normal self, which she was doing good at so far but she could easily falter soon.

Charlotte looked out her window and smiled at the children playing. "Hey ass hat." She responded to Marcy, smirking.

Grabbing her small bag, she took her phone with her paint sample and headed out. She motioned for a taxi and hopped in. "Right to the general store, please." Charlotte asked respectfully. The driver nodded and drove off. She got out of the car after arriving at her destination and walked into the store. She saw a teenage girl complaining to her mother about her chipped expensive fake nail manicure. Charlotte couldn't help but roll her eyes at the girl. She walked over to the paint buckets and bought a can of the maroon paint, along with two paint brushes. She walked along the street, wanting to go somewhere else. She saw a little liquor store at the end of the street that she popped into, looking for a little housewarming drink. She found a nice big bottle of Bailey's and a smile grew on her face. She grabbed the bottle and bought it.

Charlotte walked down to the park and strolled around, growing bored. Eventually, she went back home and laid the housewarming gift on the girl's apartment's kitchen table. She opened the door and smiled at Owen. "Come on in."​

Marcy finished decorating her room. She heard the bubbly girl, Brittany make her announcement that she was here and yelled in response, "Hey my ass hat!" Marcy was obsessed with "ass hat" she didn't say it in a bad way but it was what she called her close friends, and they all knew that.


Marcy then heard conversation going around in the main room and ran over to Owen, "Owen! My friend, bud... Ass hat." She grinned and gave him a small hug then let go. She looked over to Charlotte and opened her arms up, "And I still didn't get a hug from my main bitch!" Marcy hugged Charlotte then let go, "So, how have all of my best buds doing?" @BrooklynBaby @Dannygirl900 @Kalissa

Landon

He was setting up his room, putting photos he had took from various trips across the world or somewhere just down the block. He heard the knock on the wall and walked out. He looked over at Charlotte. "Oh. Hey. How are you?..How's life?" He asked giving a small smile. "You've brought a house warming present?" He said as he turned his attention to the bottle in the girl's hand. He realized he was still holding a couple photos he had took and set them down on a table gently, trying not to cause even the slightest harm to them. He let his eyes wander around the apartment.​

Owen laughed and gave Marcy and Charlotte a hug. He stepped inside and looked around at their apartment, "Not bad guys. We should do a little celebrating, not surprised there's already a bottle of bailey's on the counter." He walked over to the counter and layer his arms on it. "What's up landon? When did you get in? Hope you don't mind I took the closest room." Owen looked between the girls and wondered if they were just going to stay in and party or maybe they were going to go out.

"So are we in or out tonight? I know I don't get an opinion." He jested as they all stood around the kitchen. They had all been wanting to live close to one another for awhile and it was good that they got the chance now to do so.​

Charlotte brushed her fingers through her hair. She gave Owen, Landon, and Marcy hugs and nodded. "Yes, a little gift." She happily answered Landon. Charlotte walked over to the Bailey's and opened it up, filling a very large glass of it and sat on the couch, relaxing. She started chugging the glass. "Not sure what we should do, I'm tired from the move though. Maybe we could stay in? We could all watch a movie." She smiled, pulling out her collection of mixed genres of movies. "We've got scary ones, funny ones, romantic ones, and others." You guys choose. Charlotte sat back down on the couch and played with the tips of her hair after she finished her glass of Bailey's.

Marcy smiled and sat up on the kitchen counter with her legs criss crossed, "We could watch a movie... Maybe some 80's movie, 16 Candles, thats a great movie." She grinned childishly and rocked back and forth humming a song from the soundtrack 16 Candles, Little Bitch by the Specials.


Marcy's eyes widened as an even better idea was stuck in her head, "Oh! A horror movie! I'm in the mood to get scared out of this apartment tonight! What do you boys say?!" She grinned and then looked over at Charlotte, "Yo! You the best at this shit... Find the best one to make us all get the shit out of our pants..." Charlotte thought about what she said for a moment and stuck her tongue out, "Well, not actually shit... That would be pretty gross." @BrooklynBaby @FairlyLocal

Landon he looked over at Owen. "I've been here for a while..kinda. I lost track of time and I picked whatever room" He responded. He looked over at Marcy and nodded at the horror movie idea. "A horror movie sounds fun." To be honest he was very very bored and a horror movie will keep him entertained. He rested his head on his palm and looked around at everyone. He got out his phone to keep him busy while everyone decides what they're going to watch. He looked to be texting, or doing something that involves using the keyboard thing on a phone. He looked over at Brittany. "Hey Brittany." He said as he got up and gave her a hug.

Charlotte nodded and slightly smiled. "Horror movie it is. I have a Paranormal Activity one, I'll put it in." She walked over to the TV and put the disc in the CD player. "Someone make popcorn!" She yelled. "But make enough for yourselves, I'm not hungry." Charlotte walked back over to the counter and poured some more Bailey's. "I'm getting my pajamas on." She shuffled to her bedroom and put on some big plaid pajama pants and a sweatshirt. Her favorite combo. "I'll be right back guys, I'm going outside for a minute." She smiled, leaving the room and going downstairs. She sat on the stairs to the entrance of the building and lit a cigarette. She found smoking absolutely repulsive, but it felt nice every once in a while. Slowly, she let the fumes explore her body, relaxing her instantly. She sat back, only smoking for a minute or two.

She hopped over to the couch and sat in the middle of the couch, patting the seats next to her, "Come on the rest of my bitches, don't worry, she'll be back in a few... We know how she is the lone wolf." Marcy laughed and howled.


Marcy sat crisscrossed as she looked over to the rest of her friends, "What do you think? I'm not making the popcorn. Gentleman make the popcorn for the ladies." Marcy grinned childishly and crossed her legs in a womanly fashion. Brittany Storm

Brittany grinned at her friends "Well I've been in a vehicle since this morning, I am starving so it's a good thing I stopped at the grocery store before I came. Anyone want so eat a cheesy potato casserole with me?" she asked, either way she was making it. The girl stood in the kitchen, preparing the casserole before slipping it into the oven. When she was done she sighed and plopped down on the couch. Brittany had come from her moms house in a vehicle because they were never really good on money in general so flying was not an option but she had saved up enough money for the moving truck, groceries, and the drive there. In the morning she would have to go job hunting right away. Lost in thought, she was snapped out of it when her stomach growled loudly. The girls face turned red and she giggled a bit "Woah there okay" she laughed and looked at Owen, Landon and Marcy.

Landon

He crosses his arms before rolling his eyes at Charlotte, laughing. "Fine. I'll make the popcorn" He said as he went over to the kitchen area and started the popcorn. He finished the popcorn and put it in a good sized bowl because they were all sharing it..I mean he assumed that and plus it didn't feel like splitting it into two bowls. He came back into the living. "I've got the popcorn." He said as he walked over to the couch and sat down, gesturing Marcy to take it, but before eating a hand full of it. "Here you can have the popcorn if you want."

Marcy smiled thankfully as she took the bowl of popcorn and looked up at the ceiling, "Thank you god for gentleman!" She said and gestured Landon to sit down next to her, "Long time no see." She grinned. Marcy noticed he wasn't listening so she took his arm and pulled him down to the couch while she laughed. Marcy took a piece of popcorn and threw it into her mouth, "Popcorn and more food? Thats great Britt. I remembered your food was always amazing!"


Marcy took another bite of popcorn before looking over at Owen, "Gonna sit here or no?" She asked since he has been silent for a while. @Kalissa @Dannygirl900 @FairlyLocal

Charlotte sat outside for another minute, and then decided to head back inside. Coughing from the smoke, she made her way up back into the apartment and walked into the bathroom without another word. She brushed her teeth to get rid of the awful smell of smoke. She also sprayed herself in body spray. She coughed one more time, waving the body spray around a little. There was a little recliner she bought that she sat in, curled up into a ball with a blanket on. She grabbed a bottle of ginger ale from the fridge and drank it as the movie began. "So I guess we're watching the movie now?" Charlotte smiled softly, relaxing by herself in the chair.

He laughs quietly as he was pulled down on the couch. He sat up stra "Sorry" He mumbles. He takes a piece of popcorn and eats it. He turns on his phone and continues to text to pass the time. "When are we going to start the movie?" He would get and up get one of his books, but there isn't much time to even finish a chapter. He ate a couple more pieces of popcorn as he turned off his phone. He looked over at Brittany. "You do always make the best food ever." He said agreeing with what Macy had said about Britt food always being amazing. He turns his attention towards Charolette. "I think we are." He said with a smile.

Owen shook his head and figured that horror movie was going to be the pick of choice. He grabbed himself a shot of bailey's and a beer from the rack he had brought and sat himself down amongst the group on the couch. He looked at Marcy and laughed, "I'm sitting. Happy." He took the shot and then started sipping on his beer. Owen looked at Brittany and then felt foolish that he hadn't greeted her. He jumped back up and gave her a hug then a thumbs up to the cheesy potato casserole. "Britt I would love some, so would marcy apparently. Red heads do tend to have a big appetite." The movie of choice was Paranormal Activity which he liked, but only the first one. They tended to go downhill after that.

"I have to say if I was going to pick a favorite I would pick Conjuring. That movie made me jump so far in the air. If you need any help cooking let me know." Owen sat back down but wanted to make it clear he was there to help because it was going to be unfair if she did all of it while they were sitting. After a few minutes on the couch he slumped down onto the floor in front of the couch, feeling more comfortable with this.​

Marcy leaned back on the couch and nudged Landon, who was also sitting beside her, "You anti-social bum." She laughed playfully, sticking her tongue out at him, "Get off your electronics, its movie time!" Marcy nudged Landon and laughed a bit more. She then sniffed the air, "The smell of food is just great with an eight!" Marcy glanced over to Charlotte who looked at cozy as can be, "You have the remote, its your choice, god." Marcy said sarcastically and laughed at herself. @BrooklynBaby
