Personality​

Amber has quite the diverse personality. Around people she doesn't know, she comes off as a charismatic socialite who seems full of herself. AJ acts as though she's filled with confidence, to the point where she seems more arrogant than anything. She'll chat with anyone and everyone, but never fully engages with people until she knows them well enough. Trusting has always been hard for her, so before she sits down and tells you about her problems, you'll definitely have to mean something to her. On the other hand, she doesn't have to know a person for two minutes before listening to whatever troubles they may have. The more she knows about someone, the more she can determine if they're worth her friendship. And once someone earns AJ's friendship? They've earned a lifetime of support, compassion, love, and terrible jokes. Once she drops her confident and somewhat arrogant facade, she's carefree and childlike, having dreams of adventure for every new day. Overall, to sum her personality up into simple words, AJ is cautious, independent, understanding, caring, and adventurous. All you have to do is get past her arrogant act to be greeted by a genuinely sweet girl.​

Biography​

Amber, the definition of the troubled youth. She refuses to talk about her past, and due to this not much is known about her. When referring to it, most responses that come from her are along the lines of "it's complicated," "nothing special," and "just the usual sob story of a fucked up girl." By the way she reacts to conversations along the line of abuse- of any sort- one can infer that she too was abused in her youth, but only few know her past. Not even Fitz knows the majority of it, as all she has ever disclosed to him is that she was hurt a lot as a kid, and deflects any further questions.

Raised by a whore of a mother who had a terrible taste in lovers, AJ was exposed to abuse from early on. Her and her mom jumped from house to house, living with whatever shitty boyfriend she could find before being kicked out onto the streets once again. AJ's mom would much rather manipulate, cheat, and steal from any man she could find instead of get a job as a functioning member of society. Living with an almost always drunk mother, and constantly abusive father figures, Amber adapted to the life quickly. Most of her day to day life was to stay out of trouble with the man of the house, take care of her mother after any altercations, and most frequently- take the blame for most any dangerous situation her mother had gotten herself into. Her mother spilled a bottle of her boyfriend's liqueur? AJ took the abuse. One of her boyfriends realized she was stealing for them? It was Amber's fault. It wasn't as though her mom was intentionally making her take the blame, that was Amber's own decision. Without a mother, she would be lost. Amber lived this life of constant abuse and running from home to home up until she was sixteen.

One of her worst boyfriends had caught on to the fact that her mother was stealing from him and cheating with other men, and he threatened her life. Amber tried to interject and take the blame, take the violence that he no doubt would inflict on her mother, but he knew that for once- the 'devil child' wasn't to blame. That was when her mother started trying to strike a deal with her boyfriend in exchange for her life. He was dead set on killing her, but one offer seemed to change his mind. He would spare Amber's mother so long as she gave back what she still had from stealing from him and left his sight for good, and one night to do whatever he pleased with the young teen. AJ knew as soon as the deal was offered, that she was in for trouble. She could have ran away, but despite the betrayal that her mother imposed on her, Amber knew that her mother would be as good as dead if she didn't comply. AJ hadn't seen her mother again after that night. She had no desire to. Amber continued her life flying solo. She had built up her emotional walls during her youth, and only continued to fortify them as she aged. During her final years of high school, her antisocial defense system became more wild. She developed that if she hurt herself, no one else could hurt her. Toxic relationships, friendships, she stopped caring. Her Junior and Senior year was spent repeatedly dating and breaking girl's hearts. She was more comfortable around girls, mostly due to the violent nature of her previous father figures. By the time she went to college she had managed to clean up her act, and after meeting and developing a crush on Fitz she slowly started to let herself be vulnerable again. Slowly. He didn't take interest in her for a while, but she was still able to slowly develop her personality back to the way it is today. Having to grow up at a young age has kept her childish, and her rebellious get up she developed in high school kept her seeming arrogant and cocky. But she's trying to break down her protective walls, despite having such a brutal experience in life. ((She won't talk about this much at all, but it makes for good character development and the like.))

Hobbies: Soccer, drawing(mostly tattoo designs).
Likes: Soccer, old cars, and cheesy movies.
Dislikes: Rednecks, football, homophobes, wine, and stupid people.
Fears: Sick people, being powerless, being outed, and flunking out.

Personality: Fitz is pretty used to taking on a lot of responsibility. He doesn’t get stressed or overworked easily, and he doesn’t quit on anything he starts. He does have traditional views on a lot of things, including sexuality, which is why he’s so terrified of being outed. He tends to focus all of his attention on the task at hand, and can’t handle multitasking. Despite his usual moral standards, he’s taken a selfish turn, dating a girl solely to hide the fact that he’s interested in men.
