Fandom Let's Dance! (Asako & Luna)

Luna just didn't want to put all the pressure on Asako for getting her family to like her. What could Luna do to make her folks like her more? Maybe invite her to more outings? Or talking highly of her? Maybe she could tell Asako what her family liked and she could maybe buy gifts for them? But then Asako would have to spend her own money to get those. That wasn't really Luna helping out though.

Manny perked up when Miki sat beside him and gave a pleased squeal and watched the other pokemon eat the bean. He was happy with having a new friend. There were always a few other pokemon running around Luna's house that belonged to other members of her family. Manny was happy to have someone he could hang out with while Luna was busy talking with her own friends.

Luna nodded at Asako when she mentioned the purple. "It makes you think it'll taste like grapes, right?" She mussed before giving a small sigh. "Um. Yeah. Do you think that's childish? It probably is though. Not wanting to try new things is kinda lame, huh?" She felt a bit bad for so quickly rejecting the idea of trying the beans again. Maybe she should just try them again. But she really didn't. This inner conflict was present on her face before being a bit startled at Asako's sudden shout. She gave a small laugh at the reaction from the two pokemon. "Pokebeans are sold almost everywhere around here. I'm sure you can get enough for you three to share and be happy." She said while gently patting the two pokemon as well.

Luna crossed her arms at the question of her favorite food. She had a few that she really liked but was not sure of a favorite. "Well...." She trailed off before finally coming to an answer. "Okay! I think my favorite my be Malasadas. They're kinda like donuts. I almost always buy a box for me and Manny whenever we pass a shop. Pokemon can eat them too so it's a nice little snack that Manny and I can share. Unlike the beans." She ended and gave a laugh, but now she was craving them. Maybe they could stop there when they head out with her brother. "I'm sure there's a Malasada shop here. We can stop there after this ends so you can try them." She suggested liking that two for one idea.

Miki smiled slightly at the Fomantis's excitedness... she could get used to it, Manny wasn't what you'd call elegant, but maybe not everyone needed to be, she'd see what being around other Pokemon in a daily basis would look like if the relationship between Asako and Luna kept deepening as it seemed it would.

Asako smiled at Luna trying to solve the problem of the Pokebeans, even though Asako was mostly joking... but she still would probably go buy a pack of Pokebeans anyways. Luna was such a gentle girl that Asako couldn't help but smile at her. Asako waited for Luna to tell her all about the 'malasadas', whatever they were, to answer her, as she wanted to take in all that Luna said and not miss a thing, didn't want to get distracted by other stuff.

Once Luna stopped talking, which Asako was always glad that Luna did, she had been pretty shy at first so Asako was glad she was loosening up, she didn't want to take over the whole conversation and talk only of the things she liked, after all, Asako answered. "Hey, first things first: not liking things is not childish, like, at all, okay?" she said, grabbing one of Luna's hands, squeezing it, then letting it go, and lifting her index finger up, "It's actually a pretty adult way of dealing with some things..." Asako said, remembering one of the things that had happened to her in the past. Then she continued, sternly, "But also..." until, "yeah, where's my grape flavour!?" she exclaimed and laughed, lifting a second finger up, trying to lighten the conversation topic. "And, also," she lifted a third finger and scooted closer to Luna, "I really really wanna try those 'mal a sadas' you speak so highly of," she giggled, "so we can definitely go sneak up on one or two before lunch."

As they had their conversation, the other contestants were performing... but the two of them were so enthused by their conversation that they barely looked at the theater... they didn't even occupy the seatings for performers on the first line.

Luna perked up when Asako suddenly grabbed her hand. She shyly looked away and nodded at what she said while messing with the hand that Asako was just holding. She wasn't the most used to people outside of her family touching her like that. But she didn't hate that Asako touched her- she just didn't expect it and now felt embarrassed by it. Luna was looking down at her hand before eventually looking up at Asako and tilting her head a bit. "Um. It is?" She questioned. She didn't think much of what she did was adult-like. If anything she still felt like a little kid at times. Even when she was technically an adult already. Hearing that maybe she did sorta think in an adult way made her smile a bit. That smile was quick to drop when Asako began speaking sternly but she soon laughed. She didn't even know what she expected. Asako always seemed to be in good moods. "Maybe there is a way to flavor pokebeans so that they taste more fruity." She suggested with a small grin.

She glanced over at Asako when she scooted closer, carefully glancing away thinking she was starting for too long. She nodded at the idea of malasadas. After performances like that, they all deserved little treats as rewards. "I agree. There's a shop just by this concert hall so we should be able to easily get some once we are able to head out." She mused with a smile. Soon the host had called for the attention of all the contestants within this bracket to come up to the stage to announce the two who would be moving onto the next day of the competition.

"It is!" Asako said, reassuringly. She did not want Luna to feel out of place at all. She had to be more confident! She certainly deserved it. "Hmm, we'll have to work on that," she said as she dramatically placed her hand on her chin and ruffled Miki's fur. Pokebeans definitely needed more fruity... ism. Asako smiled and patted her own legs, excited for the near future: she'd eat with Luna and her brother and they'd eat malasadas and overall she and Luna would be having fun, which was the most important thing!

She looked Luna in the eyes, and Luna seemed to look then shy away. Well, it was fine. Maybe she was too over-bearing... nah, that couldn't be. "Sure thing, then!" Then the host called the two of them to the stage: they were announcing the winners! They'd been so enthralled that all the performances had finished already...

"Well, let's go Luna!" she exclaimed, beaming, and then stood up and held out her hand for Luna to take. Miki, meanwhile, just rolled her eyes a bit and smiled, happy that her trainer was, as always, chipper and gracious, excited and over-excited, and just, herself.

Luna was still not too convinced that what she said was adult like. But if Asako really did think that then maybe it was true. And Luna was just being a bit pessimistic again. "If we find a way to make pokébeans appealing to humans as well we could make a fortune." She laughed out jokingly. Smiling at the thought of selling fruity beans to people.

She was glad that Asako didn't seem to notice or at least care about her staring. Gah! She was overreacting again! Why did she always have to do that... Luna perked up when she suddenly heard her and Asako's names being called out. She was a bit confused but then it finally dawned on her. They were moving onto the next day! She almost couldn't believe it! Didn't even know how to respond.

However, as always, Asako was the one to react for her and bring Luna back to her senses. She looked up at Asako and then at her hand. Allowing a smile to form on her face before reaching out and taking her hand. "Um, yeah! Let's go." She hummed while allowing Manny to climb up on her shoulder being getting up.

Manny looked thrilled to hear his trainer's name called. He had enough excitement for both of them as he hopped around while squealing before finally climbing up on Luna when she motioned for him to come.

"Okay...um. We're going on stage now right? I never thought we would win." Luna spoke while glancing out onto the stage.

"Fortune or not, what's important is if it's fun, right?" Asako smiled, an airy, blossoming smile that could shine forever if someone needed it too. She smiled even more, if that was possible, when Luna took her hand. And, also, because... they'd went on to the next stage of the competition! The two of them! For all of Asako's postitiveness, she'd had some slight doubts for a moment but... this was the best outcome ever! She didn't know what she'd have done were only of them to pass.

Manny looked to be the most excited of all, even more than Asako's outward excitement that you could definitely feel. "Right? Right? I told you! We are the best, the two of us! Wooo, let's go!" she didn't let go of Luna's hand, too preoccupied with them having won and, honestly feeling comfortable with it. They went out into the stage, where the crowd clapped and cheered. The winners were announced and it all seemed like a brightening haze that would never end. They walked ot the center and were given medals. Asako never let go of Luna's hand, unconsciously, she wanted to make her feel safe... hopefully she wasn't making her feel nervous. At last, before leaving the stage, she brought their joined hands up and bowed, motioning for Luna to do the same. And then walked off the stage.

Miki looked at it all with a funny expression, musing on how different this moment was from when the day started.

Luna gave a sheepish laugh at that but nodded. "Yeah. It being fun is what matters the most." She hummed while walking with Asako. She still wasn't sure what she was supposed to do so she was happy with letting Asako take the lead for both of them. Luna tried to match the other's excitement but she was still trying to process all that was happening before she could try and celebrate. "Yes, The best...!" She said much quieter compared to the other but still held excitement, even if it wasn't that loud.

When they were on stage she felt nervous all over again. There were a lot of people! Her grip on Asako's hand tightened on instinct as she tried to look away from the crowd and only focus on the people onstage. She looked down at the medal that was put on her and smiled a bit before looking over at Asako and smiling even more. However, she soon gave a confused look when her hand was suddenly raised up into the air. She watched Asako bow and gave a small nod as she went to do the same before walking off.

Manny was giving happy waves to the crowd as they clapped and cheered for them all.

Once they were off the stage Luna still was not sure what to do next so she looked over at Asako. Wondering if she knew what they were supposed to do next. She also never let go of the other's hand and continues to do so. Whether she noticed she was or not. "Um. Do we return to the locker room? Or is there more we have to do...?" She questioned before glancing over at Manny who was trying to grab the medal that was hanging off of Luna's neck. "I'll let you wear it when we get back." She said with a small laugh while lightly poking the small pokemon with her hand. Earning a small pout but a nod as a response from her pokemon.

Asako was happy that, at the very least, Luna reciprocrated her happy cries of joy, albeit slightly and slowly, but, well, that was fine, that was how Luna was and she definitely didn't have to change. Opening up a bit more would do her good, probably, though, but they'll work on it. Asako felt happy as Luna never let her hand grip: that meant she trusted her! Furthermore, that meant she was fine with it, which, well, was great too! This day was going so so well, she definitely had been expecting a fun day but this fun? It was awesome.

Meanwhile, Miki chuckled as they walked off stage: Manny giving happy waves to the crowds was certainly a funny sight. Well, he had done his part too, to be fair.

While Luna had asked her a question as soon as they got off stage, Asako couldn't help but pay attention to Luna's little banter with Manny. Miki had climbed on top of Asako's shoulder again and was watching intently too as the Fomantis tried to get Luna's medal. She caressed Asako's medal, too, gracefully. The two couldn't help but giggle at Manny's actions, a hearty laugh that had them both covering their faces elegantly for a second, the pout got them chuckling even more.

After they stopped laughing, which... took a while, Asako answered, and she had no idea what they would do now: "Manny's such a baby, we love him," she said, pointing to herself and to Miki and making a serious face, "and, hey, we love you, too!" she blurted out out of the blue, these were simply her honest thoughts and she didn't even think before saying them but, hey, it wouldn't hurt, plus she didn't want Luna to feel they were laughing at her, they were laughing because they were dumb idiots who thought they were elegant and nice, of course. Well, Miki more than Asako, but the point still stood.

Still, she didn't want to end with that note which could lead to a dead-end conversation, knowing Luna... and she was hoping she hadn't made Luna get embarrassed too much or anything! Even she was a bit so, as her cheeks very lightly showed a pink colour. So she went on: "And, uh, I have no idea what we gotta do now... ah! eat out? We did say we were gonna sneak up on some of these funky malasadas, right?" she laughed and spoke in a hearty tone, then raised one hand to her own hair and gently ruffled it—this makes her look cool, according to herself—man, was she flirty today!

Luna gave a small sigh at Manny's pout. It was too bad the Pokemon didn't get medals of their own. They were just as important to the show as the trainers! And Manny would have been so happy with one. Way happier than her. He was into this sorta recognition more than her. Luna gave a sheepish laugh when Asako and Miki laughed. Manny seemed to love the fact that he got them to laugh. Luna didn't mind it either. She was happy that everyone else was happy.

At the mention of them loving Manny she glanced over to him and he seemed even happier than before. "It seems that he loves you both a lot as well." She hummed happily before freezing up a bit when they said that they loved her too. She flushed up a bit and glances away while messing with her hair. The normal usual habit. "Um- thank you." She spoke quietly with a small smile. She had to say it back right? Otherwise it'll be rude! "Er-I love you both too." She spoke, finally looking back to the both of them and giving a determined nod. Confirming that what she meant was true.

After that she just waited for Asako. She didn't know where to go from that! It is normal for friends to love each other right? Or was that supposed to mean something else...!? Thankfully, Asako started speaking again before Luna could start panicking about a topic like that. She noticed the other ruffling her hair and indeed thought it was really cool! She went ahead and copied the gesture only to remember her hair was tied up so it didn't really do anything. "Huh...!? Oh! Yes. My brother will be waiting outside for us. Want to get our things from the dressing room? I don't really wanna walk around in my contest wear." She glanced down at her dress. She didn't want to get it dirty. Especially when she was going to use it again. Confident that they were heading back to the changing room she pointed towards the door leading there. "Let's go?" She questioned while tilting her head a bit. Manny had already hopped off Luna's shoulder and began running off in the direction she pointed in.

Asako was glad to see that Luna loved her too... what love it was... well, that remained to be seen for both. But Asako was thriving, really happy that the day had ended up like this. She was smiling non-stop, basically, which probably made her look like a goofy dork but to hell if she cared. She barely noticed Luna's flushing face, but she did notice her intent on copying her dumb-elegant gesture, at which she chuckled. She was such a good girl. She wanted to hug her right now, but Luna went on about her brother and changing, which made sense, they definitely had to change, she loved her contest costume but she'd brought a very cool outfit today (thank the gods and her fashion sense!) so that would be alright.

When Luna said 'let's go', though, Asako felt the need to grab Luna's hand again and follow Manny, who was already excitedly running off to their dressing room, with Miki walking behind him. And so she did! "Yeah, let's go! Changing and malasadas, then dinner, let's gooo!" she shouted excitedly, grabbing Luna's hand and walking at a slow pace towards the dressing room, hoping Luna would follow promptly. Ah, she was on the clouds right now!

Luna was not expecting Asako to grab her hand again but honestly didn't mind it. "Yes. We have much to still do." She said with a smile as she followed after Asako and their pokémon as they headed to the dressing room. When they finally arrived Manny was already waiting over by Luna's things. Just lounging around and maybe playing with Miki if she was already there. The small pokémon was ready to get those malasadas! So he couldn't just stand still!

Luna have an amused sigh at her pokémon's behaviour. "Manny is so small yet can eat so much." She commented aloud to Asako. "I hope you and Miki like them too." She said sheepishly while heading over to her clothes. She didn't have anything too fancy. Just a simple t-shirt and some shorts. It was always hot in most of the Aloha region. So this was her usual attire. And the attire you'll see a lot of the region's people wearing. "Um. Do you want to head in first? Or should I? Well...I guess one can change behind the curtain and one can change out here?" She wasn't sure how this was going to work. She was never too comfortable with changing in front of others. But she felt especially nervous to change with Asako being able to see. She didn't think she could do it!

Manny'd gotten there very fast, he definitely was excited!! Good for him, Asako thought, he was such a chipper boy, that was great both for him and Luna, who was probably not as chipper. Miki got there a bit later, and voluntarily went to Manny's side... it wasn't that bad, after all, he was fun to be around, but Miki wouldn't give up her somewhat icy elegance; meanwhile Manny basically jumped and hopped all over the place.

Asako laughed, "such a baby, right?" she kept giggling, "but that's alright, it's fun!" Asako went to get her clothes as she haphazardly got her suspenders out and was almost with her pastel yellow shirt off, only on her bra, when she heard Luna say something. "Uh..." she took her yellow shirt off at last, not even thinking about it, "ah... I guess... I'll go to the curtain...?" she said, puzzled, but her face was a tad red indeed, she brought her backpack with her and got into the curtain area as she waved at Asako with a smile. She'd change back into her pink and yellow blouse and her ragged jeans, plus her blue sneakers and pink socks, hopefully Luna would find the colours fun and hopefully the heat wouldn't be too much.

Luna gave a small nod as she smiled at the two pokemon. She was glad that they were friends. They seemed very different so she wasn't sure how well they would get along. But it seems all is well. It was similar to herself and Asako. Two very different people who seem to get along so very well! Just when she finished grabbing her clothes she turned around and kinda froze when Asako started to undress right in front of her! She wasn't sure how to react. She kinda stared for a few moments before blushing and covering her eyes as she turned around in a bit of a panic. "Ahh! Sorry sorry! I didn't know you were going to change right now...!" She squeaked out while never letting her hands leave her eyes.

She didn't even see Asako's wave as she was just staring into the palms of her hands. However, she finally peeked through her fingers when she heard the curtain close. Asako was gone. She gave a bit of a sigh of relief before embarrassingly staring down at Manny who was looking up at her a bit concerningly. "I'm so embarrassing, Manny." She huffed down to the small pokemon before shaking her head. She had to hurry and change before Asako came back out! It didn't take too long for Luna to change. She only had a dress and heels so it only took a few moments to get out of it and change back into her white sundress. She nearly folded her contest attire and sat back down in one of the chairs so she could with for Asako to finish.
"Um...I'm finished now. So you can come out now." She spoke while idly kicking her legs.

Asako had no idea why Luna would make such a big fuss about changing... wasn't it normal...? Her sisters had never had trouble when they'd brought girl-friends over... or maybe they were girlfriends!? Asako blushed at the thought. She was probably clueless when she was younger, not a care in the world, but right now she thought she was... more aware... (she wasn't). Either way, maybe it was because Luna was shy...? Well, nothing she could do but change quickly and meet up with Luna when she's done.

She thought she was quick... but she hadn't even changed out of her contest costume yet when Luna spoke to her over the curtain! "Ah, on it!" she blurted out, and almost got out semi-naked, but stopped herself midway. Stupid. She changed back as quickly as she could and got out, smiling dumbly. She had one her flashy pink and blue shirt as well as her cool ragged jeans. "There we go!" she styled her hair over again with her hand and placed that hand at the top of Luna's right shoulder. "Ready to sneak in to some malaseidas?" mimicking a wrong pronunciation, just to get some laughs out of Luna. Yeah, she was an idiot.

As Luna waited in the chair she messed with her hair. She didn't want to undo the nice braid that Asako did, so she decided to just place her hat on top of it. She looked into the dressing mirror and gave a small smile at herself. Draping the braid over her left shoulder. When Asako finally came up she looked up at the other and gave a nod accompanied by a small smile. "Malaseidas?" She repeated with a small laugh as she stood up and began collecting her things. "They are malasadas. And yes I am." She corrected with a little hum. It was always so funny hearing foreigners try and pronounce them. She wondered if she would end up mispronouncing things if she traveled to another region.

After making sure she had all her things, and that Manny was also ready to go she gave a nod. Glancing at her phone when she heard it buzz. She quickly checked it then slipped it back into her bag before facing Asako. "Okay. My brother is waiting outside for us. We will have those yummy treats very very soon." She pointed out while waiting at the door for the other to come along. She was quite excited for her brother to meet Asako. She honestly thought they would get along very well.

"Oh, that looks great on you!" was the first thing Asako said upon seeing Luna dressed in casual clothes. The dress really looked great on Luna, Asako didn't think she could rock it like that, and she didn't really like that style on herself, but on Luna, it looked cool. It definitely echoed sunflowers and suns and the sun and, yeah, Luna was pretty pretty. "Ah, and malasadas, of course, that's it, he he, sorry," she giggled.

Asako grabbed her backpack, and on top of it was Miki, who clambered—elegantly, of course!—all the way up to Asako's right shoulder. "We set to go over here, Luna!" she beamed as she pointed at herself and Miki, she was very excited to meet someone of Luna's family and to eat something that Luna liked... it was all about Luna today, she'd do her best!

Luna gave a sheepish laugh at the compliment. But soon gave a small smile. "Thank you. I really like your shirt. It is very colourful and happy." It was totally something that Asako would wear. Which is probably why it suited her so much! Was colourful and happy like Asako. She watched as Manny ran over to her, squealing away as he looked up at his trainer. Luna shook her head and picked the small pokemon off the ground and hugged him to her chest as she held him.

When everyone seemed ready to go she nodded. "Great! Because I am hungry." She admitted while leading the way out the dressing room and outside of the contest hall. There were a lot of people crowded around outside the hall. Some people congarulated her and Asako for their performances others were clapping for them. It was kinda embarrassing to Luna! But there were so many people and she didn't spot her brother. Not too long later someone called out Luna's name towards the back of the crowd. "Oh! I think I heard him." She called out. Grabbing onto Asako's hand so they wouldn't get separated as they walked through the people and towards her brother. There was a striking resemblance between the two. It was very easy to tell they were siblings. They even sort of dressed the same!

Luna's brother was basically radiating excitement as he saw the two approach. The older didn't waste any time in greeting them. "Ahhhh! Congrats you two! I was so blown away you were both amazing!" He exclaimed while hugging his younger sibling. He seemed more excited about it than Luna ever did. "And you even made a new friend!" He mused while finally letting go of the other and smiling at Asako. "Thanks for befriending my baby sister. It really makes me so happy seeing her make new friends." He spoke while wiping away a fake tear as Luna lightly shoved him for calling her a baby! "I'm Angelo by the way. You coming with us for Malasadas right?" He asked while trying to stop Luna from pushing him again.

Asako smiled broadly, "well, thank you!" Yeah, her smile would be plastered there for a while! Gotta thank the shirt! Soon after they were out of the dressing room, Luna—surprisingly—leading the way. She really must've been eager to eat soon! And, truth be told, Asako was eager to eat, but she was eager to eat with Luna more than anything. Thought, the malasadas did sound intriguing. As they passed by the hallways and out of the dome, many people clapped for them and gave them eager congratulations, which Asako answered with a smile and wave every time she could, just naturally.

Once Luna apparently spotted her brother, she grabbed Asako's hand out of the blue. Well, she wasn't going to complain! Today'd been such a fun ride... from finding Luna again to actually rekindling with her... how cool was that! When they found Luna's brother, she let go of her hand to let her go to his brother. Yeah, he definitely wasn't like Luna. So excited! That was like... a hundred times more excited than Luna. But, he was kind of the spitting image of her, though. Also, so much purple! "I'm glad I met Luna again, definitely, it's great to meet you... ah, and I'm Asako, reporting for duty!" she faked a military salute, then put her arm around Luna's shoulder, relaxing and trying to make Luna relax... though she had to admit, it was a bit funny seeing Luna push her brother off... oh, how naive was she, who did not remember what would happen if Luna ever... or when she... meets her sisters, yeah, that's gonna be embarrassing, somehow they'd make it embarrasing. "Of course I'm going! Luna actually invited me," she smiled fondly, "Now let's see what those malasadas are made of!" she exclaimed. She began walking slowly, egging Luna on.
