In the great country of Oskenia, there were once a great group of Knights. Their battle prowess were unrivalled and together, they ushered in a great era of peace throughout the lands. Worshipped and adored, the people sought to replicate them throughout the generations. Thus, seven generations later another group of Knights have come forth, baring the same names, the same personality, the same appearances, and the same abilities.

Or at least, that's what they would have you believe. Raised from a young age by their predecessors to become the Knights of Legend, whether for fame, for money or for power, to become the protectors of peace. So after so many years of peace, how will they face any possible impending dangers?

The Snow Knight sighed softly as she made her way to the weekly Knights meeting. It would be one of the first that they would all attend by themselves. Some of the older ones have been going alone for at least a year now but now even the youngest amongst the Knights would finally taste independence. It was almost kind of scary, knowing that they were alone in defending the city despite all these years of peace and prosperity. And, even then, they weren't alone really. Their predecessors were still there, even if they were now retired.

Making her way up the steps, Veronica already had her mask up. A mask of cold indifference, a cold gaze just as she was taught for so many years. In reality, she didn't look down on anyone but if that was the price of being a Knight, then that was fine with her. Even if she wished that she could have been the Angel Knight instead... No! She should just count herself as lucky that she could even be a Knight! Besides, she was better at Ice magic than Healing magic so it wouldn't have been very good for her to be anything but the Snow Knight.

Taking a seat at the long table once arriving to the grand meeting room, the Snow Knight sat quietly while the others arrived alongside her.

David walks along the path to the meeting. He couldn't help but smile. He was suppose to be dark and brooding, but how could he on a day like this? Once he comes within range of the meeting, he puts on a brooding face. He walks suppose to act a certain way I order for balance to be accomplished.

He takes his seat at the table. Emblazoned on his chair, is a sheild symbol. He was the protector of the group. The sheild, if you will. He looks around, only seeing The Snow Knight. He patiently awaits for the others.

Nathan stands next to his chair, watching as the knights slowly flow in. As each one enters he evaluates their physical attributes and estimates their prowess, even going as far as imagining if he could beat them in a fight. Nathan could be considered to some as an important member of the knights, almost entirely because of his grandfather's great service to the knights. He knew some of the knights despised him for his seemingly undeserved nature of his position, but he also was glad that many also respected him as an Ironfist. It had been a while since their last meeting, so Nathan decided to greet one of the first to walk in, Veronica. Although she was the snow knight, and he contained powers of fire, they still had a friendly relationship, even if it was more of a "love-hate" relationship.

"Hello Veronica." Nathan says to her. "How have you been since last we met?"

Leliana cracked her neck as she slowly made her way up the stairs alone. Her steel shield and sword were strapped to the young woman's back as her footsteps clanked against the stairs beneath her. Almost as if the floor would give away. Much like the general populace....No no, right now was not to get into those thought. She wiped the sneer that was beginning to form on her face as she reached the top of the stairs.

Opening the door, her face shifted from Leliana to the Angel Knight. Her soft smile that a mother would give their child when said child would speak wonders and tell outrageous stories. She walked gracefully to the long table, to her assigned seat, only seeing the stale shield knight, boring snow knight, and the buff looking "Ironfist".

'What great company...' She thought sarcastically to herself but kept up the warm smile that was sure to break through even the snow knights ice cold heart. She nodded to them all as she took a seat and took her helmet off, placing it on the table in front of her. She also layed her shield and weapon to the side of her as to not annoy her already aching back. I mean come on! She was a knight for gods sake. Shouldn't she get a better chair?

Sitting quietly, she waited for the other knights to arrive.

The Knight of Fire, or more casually known, Burner, had gone down the hallway that stretched on before him, an astonished grin dawned upon his pale skin. Opposed to heavy armor, he was dressed in a light army. Accessories that protected him whilst allowing swift movements, his feet dancing against the flooring with little sound. A tip and tap here and there was all that could be heard. To Jackson though, it was more of a crackling fire, a sound popping left and right. Dangerous but gentle. His thoughts were ful of.. everything. His surroundings, being trusted with a meeting. With the others, alone. This was a big step, and he wasn't entirely sure if he was ready. But he needed to be, he couldn't hold back. He wouldn't. Burner wouldn't, and that's who Jackson was.

Burner. The Knight of Fire.

Letting out a deep huff of breath, Jackson pushed open the large doors and filed into the room, lips pursed in a thin line. His white, silvery locks we're in a mess as they always were, and he was quick to push them back. A nod for a greeting towards the other knights before he went to his seat. A chair, red, fiery, his warm hand touching it as he took a seat. It felt right. As if it called to him, it was meant for him. Well, clearly, it was his very own seat. But there was more to it than that. The Snow Knight was his opposite. Cold. Burner was nothing but heat, even to the touch his body was extremely hot. She was someone he probably shouldn't get along with, but he wouldn't question it. Not yet. His dark eyes averted to the others, looking around.

She glanced up when the Iron Knight, also known as Ironfist addressed her. Even by now, she instinctually acted as the Snow Knight would. "I'm doing fine," she murmured as if brushing him off if she didn't add, "And you?" afterwards.

Even as she spoke, the Angel Knight she had been thinking about and then the Fire Knight entered. She was envious of the smile the Angel showed, the kind that Veronica couldn't. How nice it would have been to freely be kind. Veronica had to be sneaky about her kindness.

She tried to brush it off when she caught Burner looking at her. Though she supposedly had a 'boyfriend', Snow still had to suppress a blush at his gaze.

"Oh..." Nathan said disappointed, and distraught. "As good as I can be in times like these. I don't want to bother you." The Iron Knight walked back to his large, iron, seat, and sat down. Being an Ironfist put him into such an awkward position. He had trouble making friends among the knights, and was often the bad guy when it came down to tough decisions. Nathan sighed and looked over some notes of topics from the last time they congregated. Rubbing his forehead in stress, looking over the piles of papers.

Jackson's brows knitted together at the center of his forehead, body slumped back against the chair. Though he was quick to change his position, sitting up straight and folding his hands in front of him. His eyes were now trained on the door, awaiting for the others to arrive. "How are any of them actually lagging behind?" He spoke up, deciding to address each of the other knights as he turned towards them once more. "My apologies, truly, I never properly greeted you all." He added moments later, bowing his head slightly as he shifted his body once more.

Burner's tone was soft, and as his head bowed, his hair fell into his eyes. Lifting it up moments later, he looked at the rest around him. A few knights were missing, not many but some. And that was enough to let him grow slightly agitated by the second. Here he was, temper rising just gradually by the minute, being fed. Like a fire evergrowing the more you threw into it.

"My my...i must apologize as well." Leliana spoke softly as she stood up from her seat. The seat was a normal, unoriginal seat unlike some of the knights had. She had wanted to stick to the angel knights original ideas but that meant getting a less than comfortable chair to sit upon.

As she stood up, her long black hair draped down, all the way to her waist. She politely smiled and bowed to the entire room. "I should have greeted you all properly like i always do. I'm sorry everyone. It seems i have thoughts plaguing my mind today." She laughed softly, her voice tinted with such warmness that one would hardly believe she was only 17 and not a mother of two at this point. As she sat back down, her gaze lingered on ol Ironfist. ' So the ice queen strikes again. ' She thought to herself, noticing the interaction between the two.

Ada was strolling her way to a meeting, wiping sleep from her eye. She was as nocturnal as a Knight could get, but seeing that she was the Knight of the Moon, she thought it was only fitting. Stretching as she stepped along, she tried to straighten her posture. The door was just a few steps away now, and she'd have to confront the other knights. She paused, stopping her stride to give herself some time to breath. This meeting was a pain, but maybe it'd have food? Do they usually have anything? She shrugged her shoulders, lost in thought, and noticed she was slumping. She tightened her fist and let her face go to rest, raising her chin to look more regal. She fixed her posture, and released her tight fists, taking in relaxed breaths now.

She had to remember everything she went over for these meetings, proper manners, how to speak respectfully. If she wasn't concentrating on her image so hard at this point, a scowl would've crossed her face. As she turned to open the door and began to step into the room, her stomach growled loudly. She coughed, covering her mouth of course, and tried to cover the sound. She quickly looked away from anyone else, and sat down in her designated chair, adorned with navy and silver upholstery. The chair just screamed "night sky." As much as she hated having to keep a face, she loved the night, and really appreciated her title's aesthetic. She looked up, watching the other knights now, holding back a scoff as she saw how humble the Angel Knight's meager chair was. She tried to cover her laugh with a cough as well at this point, quickly looking down.

Nathan looked up as the Angel Knight spoke, and he thought to himself. "Wow she is truly beautiful. I guess that makes sense for an Angel." He began to stare at her illustrious looks, when she looked over to him, and he snapped his gaze back to his papers, turning a mild red. A knight of honor like himself shouldn't be caught with such rude behavior.

Jackson's eyes narrowed slightly as the Angel Knight spoke after him, shaking his head. Now, she was someone he believed hard to trust. Which was a surprise, typically she was admired. Though she gave Jackson.. an off feeling. Burner believed the Angel Knight to be hiding something, she was all too perfect. And Burner did not like perfect, things needed to waver, be different, change. Fire was never constant, it would be in motion, it would change, and eventually it would die out. Though the Angel Knight was.. not that. She was everything people wanted to have and be. And that set him off at times. Nonetheless, he showed his respect to her. For someone as energetic as Jackson, being so serious, noble, but on the verge of being set off, it was hard to keep a straight face. Burner had a flaring temper just waiting to be set off at any moment. Whatever you do could make him go from relaxed to being in a war zone. If you needed something quick for damage, he was your guy.

As the door opened once more, Jackson let out a breath he hadn't realized he'd been holding. His brows furrowed, looking at the woman who sat down. The.. what was she called? Moon Knight, yes. Now, she was someone he didn't feel was untrustworthy. At least, Burner didn't think so. As a matter of fact, he wasn't sure what kind of relationship they had. Friendly, at the very least, Jackson could assume. But usually he was taught such things, learned them. And yet he didn't know, but at the moment, she didn't quite present herself as he imagined. "Welcome, seeing as you've finally arrived. We're still missing.. two others." He noted, though he shrunk back slightly as he steadily grew more annoyed. His pale cheeks heated up, and he did his best to relax, to no avail.

The Black Knight

The first warning of his arrival was the yelps of surprise from the guards standing by the door, both on the opposite side to the rest of knights. The yelps were due to Void, otherwise known as the feared legendary Black Knight, as he tossed the two out of his way with a blast of black energy. They had crossed spears to challenge his claim to entry, as per their standard code to all who entered, but Void was not known for his patience.

As the two guards lay moaning at their bruises and perhaps a cracked bone, as to be expected after having been thrown into the nearby wall. The large double doors were then flung open with a loud bang as Void entered, his stormy face already sending glares at the other knights. They were all content with remaining civil, but Void was under no illusions of cameradie, they all had their problems and their own burdens, and they probably equally distrusted each other as he did them. Walking around to his seat at the table, directly next to the Snow Knight, his apparent spouse of sorts in ancient legend, Void sat down as if he could not physically care less about the meeting. He sneered at the Shield Knight, knowing his longstanding nemesis throughout the ages was present at the other end of the table.

"Well, well. I suppose I must endure another meeting with you impotent fools." He smiled nastily at them, a foot rested against the side of the table lazily.

"These 'fools' are probably twice as wise as I, and they do not deserve such a judgement. Curse my facade..." Marx internally betrayed himself in his head, his face betraying no hint as to what he was thinking. It pained him to be so unseemly and downright badly mannered to his fellow knights, but that was the Black Knight. That was what Void was.

"Except for you, my ice queen." Void grinned at the serious female Knight beside him, a possibly suggestive look creeping on his face.

And yet behind the mask, Marx squirmed with guilt, "In reality, we are not so involved with each other for me to be saying such things. I can only hope that Veronica understands."

Void caught the gaze of Burner and the blush it caused, forcing Void to bristle angrily at the the fire knight. Who was he to intrude upon his possessions? The death glare he sent just now was actually worse than the one he had given Shield, Marx himself actually feeling a little threatened as well. As a man of honour, even only in secret, such unchivalrous acts were very low indeed.

The Snow Knight remained quiet throughout the other Knights' interactions. She saw no reason to comment and instead pondered what exactly was going to be discussed this week. They didn't have very much to talk about, save for some gossip or maybe disciplining some greedy nobles so it usually spinned off into some tangent or other that resulted in a brawl. Veronica stayed away from the violence and didn't like to see things go in that direction. Luckily at least her personality as the Snow Knight didn't directly have her be violent. Just severely amoral.

These thoughts were broken some noises sounding from outside. She blinked looking up in both interest and apphrension to find it was her fake boyfriend that was causing the ruckus. Though they were actual friends behind closed doors, to the rest of the world they were lovers. The ruthless pair. Veronica knew him well enough that he wanted to be as he pretended to be just as much as she did. As it stood, she went along with the ruse as she smiled coyly. In reality, she wanted to blush even more than when Burner looked at her. But such redness on the Ice Queen's white face just wouldn't do. "It's good to see you as well, love."

"Quit with the chatter, we have things to discuss," David shouts.
He didn't like saying this, but it didn't please him either that his arch nemesis, the avoid entered the room. He could feel a shiver runs down his spine.

He knew it was just the armor, but still, creepy. He avoided gazes around the room to enact his role. He didn't want to be brooding, but that was his job. A title has its purpose as did everything else.

The angel knight looked on at Ironfist, even after he had noticed her and put his head back down into his work. She kept up her smile but her smirk was rising inwardly at his demeanor. As she was about to speak up once again, loud noises decided to make itself known from outside the knights chambers. She didn't even have to wait 5 seconds to see who it was. Obviously it was Void. She chuckled softly to herself as the man stepped in the room and seemed to glare at anybody that looked at him or his "Ice Queen".

She allowed herself to close her eyes and smile at the dark foreboding man.
"Ah. Void. Nice of you to finally arrive. What a....charming entrance as usual. Only a few more tardy knights to go, then we can start today's meeting, yes?"

Leliana spoke, ignoring shield knight for the time being. She directed that final question at Ironfist, her eyes finally opening slightly as a sparkle twinkled in her eye. One would think that it was a kind sparkle but secretly she was enjoying all these interactions. How did they even function as a group she would think in her spare time. Almost nobody liked each other.

Burner tended to hold the gaze of others without an hesitation, a bored expression holding his face. As Void walked in, his temper lowered, and yet flared moments later. His eyes turned towards the hall, where the two guards now laid against the wall, crumpled against the stone. Burner found that to be unnecessary violence, something he despised quite a bit. "Welcome.." He grumbled, an unusual scowl tugging at his lips as he bowed his head to the Black Knight. He would pay respectful acknowledgment, though only because he had some kindness in him. Nonetheless, he wasn't an entire fan of Void, as many others probably weren't. They weren't complete opposites however, they both had.. an anger. He supposed that was one way of putting it. Though Burner didn't release his anger as easily, it would build up before erupting like a volcano.

"Enough of the lovely couple, as Shield and our lovely Angel have said. There's matters to discuss, but we can't wait forever for a knight who may not show, can we? Who is it we're missing, The Gold Knight?" Burner questioned, his tone now rough and raspy unlike his earlier calm, gentle tone. He was sure that if it took the other knight any longer, he'd throw a fit.

Ada watched the scene play out in front of her keenly. She couldn't help but look onto most of the knights around her still as role models. The way they acted, the way they walked and spoke with great pompous, it's still taken her years to learn proper table manners. Of course, it's not like she really wants to learn or use those things, but that's a topic for another time. Her wandering mind returned back to the table, she raised a hand to hide her smile as she looked at Void and Ice, and how some of the other knights stiffened up suddenly.

She lowered her hand, and focused on her current self image. A soft glow began to radiate off her as she turned to Burner and said, "Patience is a virtue." Her tone was monotonous, not very lovely or smooth like the Angel's voice, but nothing as dark or cold as other voices in the room. She turned to the rest of the group then, adding another remark under her breath, "Diligence is a virtue as well, though," finding herself tapping her foot under the table as she was waiting just as impatiently.

"The gold knight should be here shortly," David reassures.
He didn't want to wait on him, but that was needed. He was by the rules, no rule breaking what so ever. His horse should have came to the stables around back, seeing as though he had trained it to do so. David begins to clench his fist as loud cracking could be heard from them.

The Black Knight

"Oh? Tardy? Do you speak ill of me, 'Heaven's Slave'?" The term he had used for the Angel Knight was a little dig at the rumours going around about her. Whispers of a beautiful knight who's job was to... service the other knights. The name was derogatory at best, if you were in on the joke. Clearly, Void found it hilarious as his mean smirk filled his face, his eyes slits as he grinned.

"Spreading false rumours at the expense of my supposed comrades. The Black Knight is truly despicable." Marx thought, attempting to separate himself from the legend. He was merely an actor playing a role. The face behind the mask, a pretender. This all wasn't real, he didn't mean it. But how long could he keep convincing himself of that for?

Void then threw another glare at Burner, not entirely willing to acknowledge him. He was another supposed rival of the Black Knight's, although not one as frequently rumoured as the feud between him and the Shield Knight. True hatred was avoided because of their common fiery attitudes. Burner was a strong warrior and although Void did not particularly like him, he could at least respect that.

"Patience my cockpiece! The Gold Knight is probably sitting pretty on his piles of gold, fornicating to his jewelry collection. I say we start this without that useless idiot." His expression was sour as he spoke of the more richer of the knights, one who apparently preferred counting coins than taking part in his duties. Void was not particularly disciplined, but godammit he at least did what he was supposed to do. The honour he did have went into maintaining his knightly title. The Gold Knight's went into maintaining his coffers.

"And yet it's thanks to that rich knight that a lot of our logistics are taken care of, expenses paid. What we can wrangle from that man has kept us out of a lot of debt, all of us. It's fair to say he deserves a break. We all do."

"We wait for him! Without his help, there would be no court of Knights," David says defending the gold knight.
He believed he could only keep this up for so long. Being late marks you as being uncaring, though that is the classic characteristic of the gold knight. He taps his fingers on the table, slowly making cracking the stone. He realizes this and quickly stops, hoping no one saw his mess.

Burner had stretched his arms above his head, having grown quite tense. He shifted at an obnoxious rate, too constant for his own good. The chair wasn't the problem, no. It was perfect. Just the right size for his long but slim body. Comfortable, warm, shaped perfectly. But Jackson, he didn't feel right. His anger was flaring, though at the Moon Knight's words, he turned his angry gaze to her. He was just about ready to yell at her, call her out for telling him to be patient. To calm down. That was outrageous in his opinion, though when he realized just exactly who said it, he calmed himself down. Burner had absolutely nothing against her, as for as rumors went at least. He wasn't sure if they were friends, acquaintances, never spoke, or what. But Jackson wouldn't question it at all. Perhaps there wasn't much said for a reason.

"Patience.." He uttered under his breath, licking his dry lips as he leaned back against his chair. The Gold Knight, someone most envied. He took his well time, all high and mighty on his throne. Wherever he was, Burner wished he was in this very room with every other knight. He had a duty, and they shouldn't have to wait on him for any sort of reason. "Quite frankly, I don't care where the Gold Knight is, we can't wait forever. Whenever he shows, if he shows, we can fill him in."

Leliana's smile faltered a bit, shifting into a small frown as her eyes trailed down to her lap. It was as if she was just scolded for attempting to steal the cookies from the cookie jar. The Angel knight sighed at the nickname that the black night used on her as the pale young woman used her right arm to rub the left in discomfort.

"I...see. I apologize for accusing you of such things my friend. I shant let it happen again." She spoke in a more reserved voice now. Her eyes shined with regret from her previous accusations. One would think she was judging herself way to harshly from just one tiny slander that she threw at Void but when it came to being the Angel of the group, there was no greater offense than being offensive. She clasped her petite hands together as she leaned forward onto the table and stayed quiet, staring down away from the rest of the group.

'Damn that foul, brooding, gnashgab of a man! He thinks he owns the place...no, he thinks he owns the entire city. When your brittle armor collapses to a steel great sword, who do you think heals your sorry good for nothing rump. I'll show you...AND your damn emotionless statue of a woman." She thought angrily to herself as she looked back up, the frown still there but less noticeable than before.

"Perhaps....we could send someone to fetch the poor man. While the Gold knight isn't the most punctual of our group, he still isn't this late usually. What if he is in danger?" She spoke to the rest of the knights, allowing her hand to stop rubbing her arm and making it go to her mouth as she looked on, surprised at her own thinking.

"Temperance, my friends." Ada spoke, watching as other knights began to fidget in different ways themselves. She couldn't help but have a small smile spread on her face now. Once again, it wasn't warm or gentle, but the kind of smile you have when you've found yourself laughing at a friend tripping over something as they walked. Not necessarily malice, but you're still enjoying someone else's pain. Ada couldn't take being a cold and withdrawn Knight forever, not when everyone was acting this over the top on Goldie being tardy. Her smile almost grew when she heard Void defile Angel's name, but kept herself calm. While she still respected and looked up to every Knight in the room, she appreciated the Void knight for never holding back his tongue. On that same note, she was a fan of Burner as well, they way they could operate in such high society and still speak what's exactly on their minds. She was jealous, if only she didn't have to be so stiff. They'd have a great time together.

Ada turned her attention then to Angel, as she asked if someone should go search out the golden boy. She shifted in her seat. "We still shouldn't squander the logistics it took to get us all in one room. Let's cover what we need, as a group, and then we can disband and look for the missing party." She said, nodding. She figured it was the smartest thing to do, but she just wanted to get out of the stifling room as fast as possible.
