Opinion Language is fluid

Easily distracted and very tired
Language and linguistics are ever-evolving and ever-changing based on the needs and requirements of the society. Hundreds of years ago, there were no words for "robot" because robots were not a thing. Because of this, it is pointless to get too hung up on grammar and word choices, unless the grammar changes the intended meaning of the phrase or the word is a harmful (read: derogatory) word.

Just because language is fluid doesn't mean that's anything more than drool leaking from some people's mouths. Language evolves from deeper interpretation and sound understanding, like the development in meaning of Fathom or Familiar ... not from people being too lazy to bother correcting themselves.
