(A note on mana pools: each race has a mana pool. Each spell you use costs a certain amount of mana (you have to decide how much mana it costs). If you are out of mana you can no longer cast spells. In order to regain mana you must either drink a mana restoration potion or take a rest. Some spells cost no mana. These are basic elemental spells or simple utility spells.)

(A note on Racial Traits: Each race has certain traits that can not be changed. The only ways these can be changed are by magic, such as blocking a Kitsune's transformation powers, or disability, such as a blind dwarf being unable to use their darkvision.)

Races:

Elves are nimble fingered engineers who create many of the clockwork inventions of the land. Often they can be found with a special invention that they made. These inventions are always precious to them. Due to the elves having years of history oppressing other races in Lamed, they aren’t a very liked race.

Racial Traits (add these to your racial traits list):

Nimble Fingered: You are very nimble fingered and skilled with your hands.

Favored Invention: you have a favored invention which you carry around always. Add this invention to your other items list (do not add this to your traits list.).

Low-Light Vision: You can see in low light as if it’s daytime. For example, if the only light was from a lantern then you could see just fine. However, if it is completely dark you’re stumped.

Mana Pool: 20

Dwarves are talented druids who live in underground tree villages. They are skilled at making use of various plants and Dwarven alcohol is the best alcohol. Most Dwarves have taken a vow of pacifism and refuse to fight.

Racial Traits:

Darkvision: You can see when it’s very dark.

Nature connection: You are connected to nature. This allows youto tap into it from time to time.

Mana Pool: 20

Humans could be considered something of an only sane man among other races. They generally get along with everybody and racism isn’t very prevalent beyond the occasional calling of “Pointy ears” and “Short Stuff” that are more often used by other races. Humans are versatile and don’t have the societal standards set by other societies that tell them to be one thing like everyone else.

Racial Traits:

Quick Adaption: You are quick to adapt to most situations.

Mana Pool: 15

Gnomes used to be a slave race. The Elves used to have them do the dirty work of reaching under inventions due to their small size. Gnomes have particularly good senses of direction making them ideal sailors and ideal navigators, be it underground, above ground, or at sea. There is a lot of tension between the Gnomes and the Elves due to, you know, the slave thing. As such, Elves entering Gnomish cities are treated with suspicion and vice versa.

Racial Traits:

Small: You can easily fit in small spaces.

Excellent Sense of Direction: You are great at navigation and more often than not you can find your way when your companions are lost.

Mana Pool: 10

Kitsune have a rather… rocky relationship with the other races. Most races don’t consider them as people and it is not unlikely to see a Kitsune in a pet shop. The one race that kind of accepts them is the Gnomes because they know the pain of not being treated like people and it’s not uncommon to see kitsune and gnome protest groups in elvish cities (not dwarven cities though. Kitsune’s don’t like the underground). Humans also sort of accept them but they don’t do much to help them. Due to the mistreatment there are only two major Kitsune CIties. One is in the dense Ocarina Forest and is home to the Forest Kitsune tribe. They have orange tails and ears and turn into orange foxes. Their city is known simply as the Forest Camp. The other is in the Arctic Plains of Lamed and is home to the Arctic Kitsune tribe. They have white tails and ears and turn into white, arctic foxes. They also have cold resistance. Their city is simply known as the Arctic Camp.

Racial Traits:

Shapeshifting: You can change into a fox at will. You will either be an orange fox (forest Kitsune) or an Arctic Fox (Arctic Kitsune).

Enhanced senses: You have a better sense of smell and hearing than most races.

Low-Light Vision: You can see in low light as if it’s daytime. For example, if the only light was from a lantern then you could see just fine. However, if it is completely dark you’re stumped.

Subraces: There are two subraces of Kitsune, the Forest Kitsune and the Arctic Kitsune. please denote which one you are in the race section. While there are various aesthetic differences (Arctic Kitsune are white foxes and Forest Kitsune are orange foxes) there are also certain racial differences.

Forest Kitsune:

Nature's Guidance: Within forests you can never get lost.

Arctic Kitsune:

Cold Resistance: You are resistant to freezing weather, not having need for a coat or cloak unless it is really cold.

Mana Pool: 20

Orcs are a green skinned warrior race who live primarily in swamps, although there is a small group of Orc nomads in the desert. Orcs that take up magic often become shamans. Most other orcs become warriors. The favored weapon of most orcs is the spear. So much so that the spear is commonly associated with orcs.

Racial Traits:

Tough Skin: Your skin is very tough and it is harder to break through than the skin of other races.

Mana Pool: 10

Contrary to popular belief the Amazons are not a race of only women. They are simply a greatly matriarchal race where men barely have any say in anything. Living in the desert, the amazons have a strong disdain for all of the other races. They are proud warriors whose most distinct difference from other races are the natural barbs that grow on their shoulders, ankles, and wrists. These barbs can be used as weapons if need be however Amazons prefer to use other weapons too. Their city is walled and only those the queen deems worthy are allowed to enter. If an Amazon is seen outside of the desert she is likely either on a religious pilgrimage or an exile from her tribe.

Racial Traits:

Natural Weapon: You have barbs on your ankles, wrists, and elbows that you can use to fight with if need be.

Heat Resistance: You are resistant to heat, hailing from a desert, and need much less water than other races do to survive in the desert.

Mana Pool: 15

Kenku are a race of bird people who are unable to speak. Instead they can only copy other sounds they hear. As such, a Kenku’s speaking can be very disconcerting as they put together sentences from many different words spoken by many different people. Kenku do not have a society of their own and thus do not have any cities. Instead they live in the cities of other races, often as beggars. It is not unusual to see Kenku on the side of the road making the sound of coins jingling to ask for money. Kenku are unable to fly.

Racial Traits:

Perfect Mimicry: You can perfectly mimic any sound you hear. It is very hard to distinguish between your mimicry and the real thing.

Natural Raincoat: Your feathers help you keep dry in all but the heaviest of rain.

Mana Pool: 15

Goliaths are the people of the mountains. Hardy folk, they can grow from their normal size into a much larger size and then shrink back down again. They are nomads and often travel with small tight knit tribes. They take only what they need from the mountains and leave something behind to make up for it.

Racial Traits:

Sizeshifting: You can grow from your normal size to 15 feet. Doing this requires effort and exertion and will tire you out after you return to normal size. It takes much less effort to shrink back to normal size.

Low-Light Vision: You can see in low light as if it’s daytime. For example, if the only light was from a lantern then you could see just fine. However, if it is completely dark you’re stumped.

Cold Resistance: you are used to the cold of the mountain and have developed a natural resistance to it.

pickpocket: Karry knows the basics of pick pocketing and can get by easily enough. Especially when the victim of her pickpocketing is wearing their pouch particularly loose.

Stealth: Karry is good at being quiet and avoiding notice.

Drumming: Karry has musical talent as a drummer due to it being one of her favorite jobs during the Kitsune tribal festivals.

Magic:

Minor illusion (5 mana): Karry can cast a minor illusion to hide her ears and tail from others. She can also use it to hide other things of about the same size.

Spirit conference (19 mana) (occasionally a spirit will be kind enough to refill the users mana halfway. Not often but occasionally): Karry has never used this spell before but she has it memorized. It was for her coming of age ceremony but she never got to use it. It allows the user to speak with the spirits of the dead if certain conditions are met. It's best used at an altar of sorts.

Mana Pool: 20

Appearance (description or picture): Karry has long, tangled red hair that absolutely refuses to get tidy. Her eyes are a light blue color, one that could almost be mistaken for gray if looked set the wrong way. She is rather tall and has well Tanned skin due to hanging out in the forest and natural sunlight for most of her life. Her most noticeable physical features would have to be the furry orange fox ears atop her head and the furry orange fox tail.

Karry doesn't have much in terms of clothing. She's still wearing the slaves clothes she was given at the beginning of her imprisonment in the pet shop. She's wearing a brown, ragged shirt that's doesn't fit her and a pair of ragged brown pants that also don't fit her. She has no shoes of any sort.

Personality: Karry is not a people person. If you were abused multiple times by multiple different races you wouldn't be either. She prefers not to talk to people face to face and isn't very brave. She probably won't meet your eyes in a conversation. Still, she's brave enough to try whatever it takes to get out of the city and hidden within her is the fun loving young girl who was there before the pet shop. Before the abuse.

History: Karry wasn't always a thief. In fact, that's kind of a recent development. She was once just a girl living in the Forest Camp. On the day of her coming of age ceremony (about age 18) she was going to the Village Altar (which was away from the Forest Camp out in the forest) when she was attacked and kidnapped by an elven hunting party. They took her back to Sebtack with them and made a fortune selling her to a pet shop. She was stuck in that pet shop for two years. She was “adopted” five times and returned to the pet shop each time for trying to escape. She feared she'd be stuck in the pet shop forever. Then one day a kind Gnome jail broke her. He taught her the basics of thievery and gave her the dagger and the ring. He then bid her farewell and told her that if she ever needed help she could show the right people the ring. Karry spent the next few months after that practicing her pickpocketing and hiding out in old alleys in the city. Eventually she worked up the courage to go to the No Man’s Land Tavern to find someone willing to smuggle her out of the city (and maybe a way to make some gold pieces while she's at it).

Personality: He is shy and curious, but willing to go along with what others have to offer.

History: He was born Twenty-six years ago in the ocarina woods to the green leaf tribe (or Kailaise in the kitsune language) He was raised to avoid straying too far from the woods as their parrants wished he led he tribe and become a warrior for the chieftain. He was never into combat and he didn’t even want to serve the clan for he was innately curious about the world beyond prehistoric tradition. He shifted into a human and has since become a humble migrant laborer, he has worked in many fields and Elven owned tenures. Now, however, he is taking up simple work as a custodian of a Dward owned tavern and the ownrs don’t even know his real idntity.

Approved. Though, heads up, if the tavern you're character works at is the same tavern the characters are meeting at, it's a dwarf run tavern.

Cassy loves when all eyes are on him, it doesn't matter if it's good or bad as long as they're looking. Doesn't like slow repetitive work and believes that it's beneath him, when in truth he's just lazy.

History:
Before hitting the road to fulfil his dream of being a widely recognised entertainer Cassy spent his time working with his parents in their workshop. But with the long hours and the poor pay the quality of his work began to slip. This caused a rift between him and his parent to appear, and he took this a sign that it was his time to leave and live his dream before it got any worse. He travelled for sometime going town to town but never managing to get and form of secure entertaining work. With funds running low he had two options: he could return to his parents showing that he was wrong and taking a blow to his pride, or he would have to give up on getting a shortcut to fame. He chose to start small and work his way up. However in the past 6 years since he made this decision he hasn't got any higher than being booked to perform for children's parties.

Personality: A gloryseeker by heart. Percy is a very compulsive person, many actions are on impulse and hardly thought through. The definition of a shoot first ask questions later personality. He is also a people's person being fairly charismatic, but if things go sideways Percy is usually the first to become aggressive. Percy is also very bold and cocky, too much for his own good many times, because when matched with his impulsive personality Percy can find himself in many downhill situations. Percy is not a generous person by any means, he will very often make a sport of boasting of his nobility and mocking the lower classes, only very occasionally does his empathetic side take over and he is seen helping others for no payment. Percy looks down upon any form of thievery or deceit, unless it's for a noble cause which it hardly ever is.

History: Percival is the only son and heir to a small barony located far within the Valcour Woodlands. He grew up the life of any noble heir, surrounded by lavish meals and elegant people. He had been taught the usual of any nobility; etiquette, combat, book smarts, simple courtship, and many other minor noble skills. As Percival grew up he had grown to become very adventurous, commonly seen hunting within the woodlands his fathers realm ruled over. This greatly pleased Percivals father as the prestige of the house had begun to wane, and the minor legacy of the Crimson Eagle had started to be forgotten by many. At the young age of 21 Percy was cast out of his familiar woodland, sent on a quest to seek fame and fortune and bring honour to the Crimson Eagle by his father. 2 years had past and many minor deeds of fortune were done by Percy, but nothing truly recognizable by his father. Sent out again to the world Percy found himself in a dwarven run taven, No Man's Land, as he searched for something of note to do.

Personality: Cold, reserved, and untrusting. She's lived a life full of dishonesty and betrayal, and so finds it hard to get attached to others or allow others to become attached to her. She's usually silent and observant in most situations and prefers to listen to all points of view before deciding to speak or act.
She finds she feels the most comfortable walking in the shadows and out of sight, avoiding any chance or opportunity to hold a spotlight in any way.
Kieran is a quiet character, but confident in her own abilities to, in her own words, "Get Shit done", which she does so expertly, as her given trade is something she has practiced since before she can remember.
Kieran is a bit of a lone wolf, she has been nearly her entire life, and so is extremely unaccustomed to working in a group or team, should she ever have to.

History: Growing up on the streets is a tough life to lead, but miraculously Kieran got by. Through petty pickpocketing and quick snatch n' grabs from unsuspecting citizens she was able to make due for herself, until a local thieving organisation eventually took notice of her exploits and decided to take her in.
It was there, through years of training, she was able to Master her craft, becoming a well known thief among her hold, but faceless and unknown among those she stole from. She became distinguished only by the name given to her from those her feared her; "The Dark One", is what she soon came to be known by. Constantly in the shadows of night, she remained unseen and unheard.
Though her life suddenly took an unexpected shift when her contractor sent her forth with an unusual job, one she had never done before, which lead her to an unlikely tavern in an unlikely corner of the world.

Kieran is a quiet character, but confident in her own abilities to, in her own words, "Get Shit done", which she does so expertly, as her given trade is something she has practiced since before she can remember.
Kieran is a bit of a lone wolf, she has been nearly her entire life, and so is extremely unaccustomed to working in a group or team, should she ever have to.

History: Growing up on the streets is a tough life to lead, but miraculously Kieran got by. Through petty pickpocketing and quick snatch n' grabs from unsuspecting citizens she was able to make due for herself, until a local thieving organisation eventually took notice of her exploits and decided to take her in.
It was there, through years of training, she was able to Master her craft, becoming a well known thief among her hold, but faceless and unknown among those she stole from. She became distinguished only by the name given to her from those her feared her; "The Dark One", is what she soon came to be known by. Constantly in the shadows of night, she remained unseen and unheard.
Though her life suddenly took an unexpected shift when her contractor sent her forth with an unusual job, one she had never done before, which lead her to an unlikely tavern in an unlikely corner of the world.

She often speaks her mind without restraint which has gotten into a few scrapes. She can work on her own but prefers a team she can rely on. She is very secretive about her past and is a cynic in general.

History: When she was a child both of her parents were in the KGB and were never really home. Kiera became fascinated by her parents' jobs and eventually joined the KGB for herself. The branch that she joined specialised int he elimination of strategic targets such as governors, chairmen or Political figures of great importance(Trump).She was trained in using Sniper rifles and pistols but also had basic training with using a knife but still struggles at close quarters combat. The Dimension Pass she used to escape was made by her friend and could allow people to temporarily travel to another world but was broken on arrival in the new world. Alexis had to run after she accidentally uprooted a corrupt chain of politicians which resulted in her unit turning against her.

Not being a fan of lengths of silence(Awkward or Not) he is more likely to try and engage in idle chatter or humming. Kurrol is quick to make friends.

History: Kurrol is the 8th son of a large family. Being from clan Bezoar he would inevitably be involved in healing somehow. Early on he figured he'd become a brewmaster, it's the dwarven thing to do. But this career choice he found to be missing something. Sure parts of it were good, like the end but he was sure there was another path he could take. Eventually, he was passed on to another relative to apprentice under. His next path was to try his hand at magic. It was immediately found out he lacked the aptitude for this and before the first lesson he was passed on again to another relative. Fortunately for Kurrol he was passed to his eccentric Uncle Bazz. Eccentric was his family's way of saying he tried 12 too many of his own concoctions or maybe all the explosions rattled his brain. But Bazz was a great teacher and mentor to Kurrol. After a few years, Bazz encouraged him to see more of the world. To come up with his own formulas and find new ingredients.

To others he seems simple due to his lack of proper manners and his broken common but he is actually a very kind person who has a heart of gold. He is also silent a lot due to not speaking common well.

History: Long ago Tharagan’s tribe was decimated by a troll warband attack. With his dying words Tharagan’s father gave him the ancestral axe. Afterwards Tharagan took a vow of pacifism. Since then Tharagan has become a wanderer, enjoying the wonders of life.

She likes to joke around and flirt with people she's comfortable with, but is more direct and clear when talking to strangers. She trusts very few people completely, engulfing only her family and her magic instructor, but even then she never told her parents about the day she killed. All in all, she is a bleeding heart that feels for others, enemy or not.

She agreed to keep Jacobo's memory alive, but after years of training, she couldn't shake the need for adventure and left to find it once more.

Becoming the one thing he hated so much, a thief. He burglarized homes for supplies to build his special goggles and his makeshift helmet, since then he has burglarized caravans passing through the desert. he has also frequented taverns to find jobs as a bounty hunter.
