"Uh... French toast... Sounds great." Willow glanced at the door again. She had no idea what to make of the strange encounter, and glanced at the blond man as well. She hadn't grown up with any particular religious values- her parents had been pretty liberal, but also very realistic... And she still questioned the mans words. The blond man a witch? Him undead? In spite of being told that he was rather off his rocker, which she had no trouble believing, it still bothered her.

She spent so much brainpower in her reverie that she almost missed the woman's introduction.

She glanced up quickly, a half pause leading her words.

"Oh, yes. Nice to meet you. My name is Willow. Willow Sanderson." She quickly replied. "I'm fine with French toast, please, thank you." She added in a polite refusal of toast with jelly; she wasn't terribly hungry, and the toast might be more than she could eat anyway.

"Er, also, is there a library hereabouts?" She requested, figuring that as a local this Victoria had a better chance of knowing where one could be found.

Nate sat back and gently sipped through the straw, taking in everything about his new location. The water could have been manna on his tongue for the way it rejuvenated his body and soul. He was not only listening to the conversation between "V" and Willow, but feeling it out. His savior had claimed she was a witch and that he was one of the Eternal. When he felt that out, it was true. She'd lied about it rather easily, dismissing the man as a nutjob...but he was definitely not that. In fact, the more he tuned his senses, the more magic he felt in this town--more than he had the pleasure of being close to.

This was different than all the other parts of the "outside world" he'd been exposed to in his 3 weeks of solitude. He'd come to the conclusion that he had to hide his true self from the masses--something he wasn't too keen on doing--but, that seemed so arbitrary here.

Nate cleared his throat, shaking his loose and wild hair around his shoulders. "Do you ladies mind if I join the conversation?" he asked, his voice rough and sweet in it's cajun candor. He tipper his head in acknowledgement to Willow, who seemed bookish herself. That reminded him of his mother. His southern decadent nature didn't fail him as he took a slice of lemon from a complimentary tray, as wellas a pack of sugar, and started mixing them together in his cup.

Stretched out on the floor of the house she shared with her Sire, Emilie was happily content. A soft yoga mat under her, a straw stretching from the bag full of blood to her mouth, and little sounds of happy little purring coming from the vampire. Happy little vampire. Happy little vampire which wanted to just stay on the floor like that. However, she knew that wouldn't be an option. Never was that an option. For with sunscreen being massaged into her skin, her hair pushed away from the shoulders, she could not be happier. Or she could be, if she had a real human under her, and her fangs dug into his skin. Oh yes, that would be true happiness. But Michael must have noticed where her mind was going, for she felt the the slap against her side. "Yes yes, I AM NOT GOING TO BITE SOMEONE YOU JERK" she groaned and smacked his thigh back.

Reaching for the phone, she scrolled through the list of names, finding that of her super gay bff which was always a delight. Masoooooon. You better be dying at this very moment if you don't come and save me from a day full of meetings and phone conferences. I need fuuuun. She texted her buddy, feeling the scolding glare from Michael. "Yes, yes, I'll be home for dinner. Or else I'll text you and have you come meet me with my maaaan" she said teasingly, ignoring the look of daggers coming from him. Bad, grumpy day with that bastard she could see.

"One french toast coming up." Victoria says, stretching her arms over her head and then writing down the order into her notepad.

She hears the girl, Willow introduce herself, and Victoria gives her a nod.

"Pleasure to meet you. Welcome to town." Victoria says, giving her a small nod, "We've got a library at the local college. It's pretty big. It'll give you a good amount of information on just about everything, although the founder of the town was a bit paranoid, so you might find a bunch of odd stuff in there." Victoria adds in. "I'll be uh... right back. Going to cook up your meal." she quickly states, rushing into the back room.

Once she's inside and the door is firmly shut Victoria taps at the pots and pans, waking them up. Her parents had made the joint effort to enchant them, so it made cooking far easier.

"One french toast!" She exclaims, and suddenly the fire of the stove is on and bread is being carried by a fork while the knives and spoons make the joint effort to crack the eggs into a large bowl.

Victoria watches over them contently before popping her head back out to go back to the counter.

"It'll be ready in a bit. I've got a timer set so I can flip it." she states.

Suddenly a new voice is in the air, and Victoria jumps a little bit out of fright.

"Awake at last." she says, raising an eyebrow at the man as she tries to gather herself. "Feel free. The more the merrier." she chimes.

Victoria turns to look at Claude, who seems to be drooling on her table.

"Oh for fucks sake..." she murmurs, walking towards him. "Hey!" she snaps, shaking his shoulder.

Claude lets out a groan and quietly looks up at her.

"Your tea is going to get cold. If you wanted to sleep you'd have stayed home. Now wake up and eat, and while you're at it quit drooling all over my table. Unless you want to clean it up later." she exclaims, crossing her arms over her chest.

"Sorry about that." he says, sitting up quietly and blinking a couple times.

Victoria only rolls her eyes. She watches as he takes quiet drinks, and hopes he's too out of it to notice anything else going on.

At the revealed knowledge of the library, she felt like slapping herself- she should have been able to figure that one out herself, being after all a student of the same college. But nonetheless, she thanked her: "Ah, makes sense. I'll look into it, and keep that in mind." She nodded in appreciation as the woman- Victoria, she reminded herself- went to prepare the food.

While Victoria was in the back, Willow went and sought out a table, a good distance away from both of the other patrons. She sat down quietly, and leaned on the table, fidgeting with the things set out upon it. She waited patiently, offhandedly keeping an eye on the other patrons as she waited.

When Victoria poked her head out to give a status update Willow jumped slightly, and looked up to give her a slight, appreciative smile. "Alright, sounds good. Thank you."

When a new voice rang in the air she also jumped a bit- gotta work on that, Willow, you're making yourself look like a nervous rabbit- and looked toward the source of the voice. She nodded in agreement with Victoria, though holding some reservations about it. "I don't mind." She voiced her agreement quietly, then watched as Victoria stirred the former drunk with that slight sort of interest when one really isn't interested in something, but finds it interesting enough to watch anyway.

"So Mr. Stranger, mind if I ask why you got dragged in by good ol' Elliot?" she asks, leaning over the blonde man. "My name's Victoria by the way." she adds, sliding the toast closer to him.

"Claude." Claude says, grabbing his food and drink and moving closer to the action.

"You better not fall asleep like he did." Victoria says, pointing behind her.

"Aren't waiters supposed to be... nice?" Claude asks, raising an eyebrow.

"Aren't customers not supposed to fall asleep? Besides, you haven't payed me yet." Victoria says, crossing her arms over her chest.

"Yeah, yeah." Claude says, rolling his eyes as he takes a drink of his tea.

"So. Willow. What brought you here?" Victoria asks, feeling like the mood is far too dull.

Just as she asks, her mother comes in through the door holding a large brown bag, her father comes in shortly behind her, carrying an even bigger one.

"Victoria! Perfect timing. My word it's a little early for customers isn't it? No problem the more the merrier!" her father exclaims giving the guests his customary warm smile.

"Pa. Mind checking on the french toast? You're the best cook here." Victoria says, giving him a smile.

"I heard that!" Victoria's mother exclaims, giving her a light slap on the arm.

"I love you mama." Victoria says, giving her a kiss on the cheek.

"I love you too. Now come on John. We have a store to run!" Aviva exclaims, rushing into the kitchen.

Her father follows shortly behind and Victoria feels very happy once more.

"Now you've all met the owners." she chimes, feeling very proud of her parents.

Paxton had spent his morning in the woods, getting ingredients. He dropped them off at the store, Dalia explaining his sister had left. He walked with his hands in his
pockets, finding her about five minutes into his walk. "Where ya headed?" He asked her, smiling lightly. He was in a good mood. The sun was shining and it was a decent temperature.

"Probably to get some food, wanna join?" Pandora responded, adjusting her hat. "I'm buying." She smiled a little. He nodded and the two headed to the Fire House together. They waited for the hostess to seat them.

He looked at her outfit.
"You okay?" He asked. He knew her emotions well enough, black meant bad mood. Neither of the twins had been sleeping well. Bad dreams, bad vibes. Not something they were used to in this town, they hadn't had many bad feelings yet. Though, there were whispers of humans moving into town. Perhaps that's why they were so stressed out. Having to hide always made things harder.

Pandora just nodded, avoiding the question. Her brother knew something was up, but didn't press her for anything.

Elizabeth bounced between tables for a while, collecting trash and tips and refilling drinks. Danvir had scowled at her after the customer had gotten burned and did so even harder when she recommended a dish to another that had garlic in it.

"I cannot eat garlic," the person had replied with a sheepish smile to Elizabeth. She had only blinked, uncertain of what else to say.

"No worries," Danvir had said smoothly, sliding in and bumping her to one side, his smile relaxed when facing the customer but nonexistent when turned away. His eyes snapped towards Elizabeth menacingly and while he did not say a word more about the incident, Elizabeth felt it hang heavy in the air. It confused her. What could possibly have made him so angry over an incident like that? Was it because she had simply stood there and stared? That was impolite, she knew, but it was strange. She knew that some Indian food did not have garlic in it but she had found that it was one of the fundamental spices tossed it. Her mother would have been partially insulted, though she would never say so in a public place.

"
Smile, smile," Elizabeth said, mocking Danvir's tone in French, hoping he wouldn't understand the language and that her mockery could go unnoticed by the other patrons. No one eating seemed to be sparing any attention to the new employee, instead focused on one another and the food.

However, she did notice a few times that some glanced her way, eyes sharp and with an icy gaze. It wasn't lewd (she knew what
those sorts of gazes were like and she always responded to them consistently with a fist) yet it remained unsettling to her. What was stranger was that Danvir would usually sweep by a customer that had glanced at her and speak with them for a while. She could not make out what they were saying but it did not sit well with her, something about the flickering gazes and the sharp frowns and hard eyes making her feel under scrutiny.

The hostess, whose name was Oditi, had been conversing with Danvir as well, directing people to certain tables and then having Danvir take them over. A few times, a group or two would be sent near her and Danvir would shoo her over, though he did not look happy at the prospect.

It was annoying and it felt like she was being excluded for a reason, whether it be her attitude or something darker.

At one point, two people entered, one wearing a long-sleeved shirt coupled with a pair of shorts (a ridiculous get-up in Elizabeth's opinion. Shorts should only ever go with short-sleeves or tank-tops, perhaps paired with some sort of shawl that the all-to-aware-of-others wore to appear fancier, sniffing at all others as they walked by) and the other wearing all black and a hat that Elizabeth wanted
off when she got inside (it was rude to wear hats indoors and it was also the only set of manners she had ever taken to heart).

Danvir was busy on the other side of the restaurant and deciding that keeping customers waiting was bad, she walked over, putting on her best fake smile and standing by them.

"Hello and welcome to the Fire House. Can I get you anything to drink?"

The twins looked up at the exact same time and both requested water. Pandora pushed her bangs away from her face and looked back at the menu. She wasn't a super picky eater, but it always seemed to take her awhile to pick something out.
"There's some sort of celebration tonight, Harrison told me about it." She said over the menu, the next part was whispered softly. "It's to welcome the humans." She scrunched her brow at the thought. Humans had never been something she was fond of. She'd seen what they did to magical people.

"Sounds like fun. Maybe you'll finally make a friend who isn't so much older than you." Paxton teased. The two spent a lot of time cracking jokes about each other. Especially the fact that both of them were practically hermits. He was much friendlier than his sister, often making conversation with the people of the town. Though, they both had a habit of leaving town quickly, and never seemed to try and make friends before doing so. Safer that way. Less people got hurt.

Pandora shot her brother a look, but didn't say anything. As far as older men went, Harrison was the only one who didn't make her uncomfortable. She appreciated that and often spent time with him. He taught her some of his spells, which were much lighter than her mother's or her own. Paxton should have been grateful for that.

As Elizabeth walked away to get them their water, Danvir passed by, carrying a few plates of curry. He glanced over at the Davenport twins but said nothing at first, instead pursing his lips and continuing on with his duties. He had never really felt comfortable about them, their smell setting him off. They were magic users, he knew, but something about the shop they inhabited made him feel on edge. Perhaps it was the magic, though he had trouble smelling the difference between them. Perhaps it was the way that they seemed to carry themselves, with a dark cloud of foreboding. Or maybe Danvir was just projecting.

He approached them cautiously as Elizabeth swept out of the back room with a platter and two tall glasses of ice water. She placed them down on the table, pulled out two straws to stick into them, and gave Danvir a strained smile to shoo him away. She didn't need to be babysat the entire time and he was starting to grate on her. He acted like she couldn't be trusted or she was always doing something perpetually wrong.

"What can I get for you today?" she asked, tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear and pulling out the pen and notepad.

Mason grinned, feeling the buzz of his phone in his pocket as he reached Emilie and Michael's shared house, not bothering to knock at the door, just walking in. "Honey, I'm hoooooommeeeee!" He called out. "I got your text and came to your rescue!" He shouted, his voice echoing around the house as he headed further in. Spotting her with Michael, lay on the floor. "Well hi there." He grinned, winking at Michael mischievously before bounding over to Emilie. "So are we going on an adventure or what? I have a great idea." He told her cheerily, pulling her to her feet, not offering much of a fuss toward Michael, grinning cheerily at her. Already turning around and making back toward the door "there are some new humans in town, I want to go see them!" He said brightly "their houses are all the same and really weird, but the humans seem pretty cool." He said cheekily.

He dragged her toward the door, "can we go there?!" He said brightly, glancing to Michael momentarily before back to her, practically bouncing up and down on the spot. "My gorgeous girl wouldn't leave me alone to go would she?" He questioned, giving her puppy dog eyes, hopeful.

Emilie laughed as she was pulled out from between Michael's legs, and tried to grab the shirt laying on the floor though she lost the grip on the fabric. "Masooon. I love you dude, but you're not getting out out into the world when Humans are here, in just my bra" She said with a laugh, slipping out of his grip. Catching the shirt, she just managed to escape Michael's hand trying to reach for her. Today was clearly going to be exciting. "Okay, okay. Soooo" She held her hands up between the two males, before she put the white shirt on over her bra. "Next time, don't drag me out of his grip like that, I was getting sun screen over my body so that I actually can spend time outdoors" She said to Mason, before looking to Michael. "And I am going out. You're going to work anyway"

She finished speaking and grabbed her leather jacket, but gave Mason a warning look. "If you try to pull me from something I'm enjoying again, my fangs are going to sink into your arm, or I'm breaking your leg in revenge"

He grinned mischievously "but you love me too much." He said, giving her puppy dog eyes and pouting "and I wanted you to hurry up." He told her, barely able to keep a cheeky smirk off of his face. Practically bounding toward the door, looking toward her happily, opening the door cheerily. "Come oooooooonnnnn." He said, bouncing out of the door onto the street, desperate to go on an adventure and wanting her to hurry up about getting through the door and down toward the human sector of town. "The adventure will have ran away by the time you're out." He grinned mischievously at her as he began to head down toward the human sector. Glancing over his shoulder at her happily.

Paxton noticed as his sister looked up from the menu at him, signaling him to go first.
"I'll take the naan please. And can we get a onion pakora for an appetizer?" He smiled at the girl, dimples showing. He could feel Danvir's eyes on them. A lot of people in the town didn't trust them. He couldn't necessarily blame them. He looked at Pandora, she looked nervous about it. She'd always hated being under people's stares.

"I'll take the chicken tikka." She spoke after a final moment of deliberation. "Thank you." She looked down at the table. There was a lot on the girl's mind. She needed to figure out why she had a weird feeling that the balance of the town had shifted. Not just because of the new humans, but other new residents as well. "I'm gonna go to the lake today, before the celebration," she said to her brother. Some of the crystals there would be perfect for the spell she needed to cast.

"Yeah yeah jackass. Next time just tell me to hurry up, don't risk me getting burned" She said and gave his shoulder a punch as she walked past him and out of the house. Yeah, sure. she knew some probably considered it weird that she was living with the guy who had bitten her and made her into one of the living dead. Yet she lived with him, and she cared for him. In that weird, twisted way only those who were bonded could. "Let's go see who these tasty little snacks are then" Emilie said to the guy, blowing a kiss to Mason as they left the house.

Elizabeth nodded at the set of siblings, smiling at them again before sweeping away and out, tucking the notepad away in her pocket as she headed to the kitchen. Along the way, she stopped to grab a few glasses to refill. She ducked around back into the kitchen to load them up before slapping the note onto the metal clip that allowed her mother to read it.

After making her rounds once more, noting down new customers and checking up on the old, Elizabeth popped by the first table again. "Everything fine?" she said in a hopefully cheery voice. She didn't really know what being a waitress at an establishment like this entailed; she had been one at a run-down mom & pop diner on the side of the road where only regulars came and none wanted to talk.

"Both a bunch of tools." Claude says, taking a rather aggressive bite out of his toast.

"Lovely. And what about all of yours?" she asks the other patrons.

Victoria hears her mother let out a shrill laugh, and then a more high pitched one that sounds almost goat like. She doesn't even need to go to the back of the shop to know that Tommy as he likes to be called has made an appearance. She's known the goblin since she was a child, and quite enjoys him, although as of late she finds that he's become old and fat, as well as a little bit grumpy. Her mother has been friends with him since she was a child, although her father has never been too fond of him. That's not to say he isn't polite, lest he lose all his goblin contacts. She's quickly snapped out of her thoughts by the kettle going off, and Victoria quickly rushes to put in their tea of the day 'Vanilla Camomile' into the kettle. She then grabs ten small shot glasses and lines them on the top of the store's pastry display, and writes the tea of the day up on the chalk board, shortly after washing her hands.

Leaning on the table and idly playing with the tea things set out, she looked up when spoken to, and shrugged.

"They're parents. Pretty lenient." She replied neutrally.

Her home life hadn't been a bad one, that was sure, but her parents hadn't been terribly close to her either. As they both worked steady jobs, she grew up mostly at daycares and with babysitters, and when she was older, came home from school to an empty house. It was simply how things were for her- so while some teenagers, upon leaving home for college the first time, might get homesick, she only had seen it as just another change in the scenery.

Just as moving to Johnson Creek had been. But as she thought back, prompted by the question, and momentarily contemplated that particular move... Well, she had a wriggling doubt in the back of her mind that maybe this wasn't only another change in scenery.

"The ladies who raised me passed away recently." Nathan said blatantly, taking a sip of his tea. "It was a freak accident. A fire. I can't imagine a worst way to go." His southern drawl came to a somber note as he spun the straw in his drink. It was good to say it out loud. He had to accept it--they were gone. "But, they're in a better place now. I can certainly say that the memories I have for them are all sweet. And nothing could ever compare to the things they taught me about myself" He took another sip of his tea, noting how fresh and vibrant the brew was.

"I think that answers your earlier question of my involvement with the broodin' fella from earlier, Miss Victoria. Then again, I figured he'd be a rather fitting bodyguard with all his strength. I'm thinking I would fit right into the fold of things here, if you catch my drift." Nathan gave her a knowing look, one that he hoped she would catch on to. The folks of Johnson Creek seemed nice enough, if only two of them were. He gave the vampire's offer of housing serious consideration. "We'll talk more about that when you show me around." he added, not wanting to raise too many mundane eyebrows.

"Lenient parents are always nice." she says to Willow, giving her a slight nod.

She raises an eyebrow at the man, finding his southern accent rather entertaining. Both his mums died in a fire, which to Victoria seems suspicious at best. She doesn't say anything simply because she doesn't know enough about the guy to, but she stores the piece of information into the back of her mind. She sees Claude put a couple dollars down on the table and quietly leave, making Victoria feel slightly more... calm. She knows he's nothing more than a human, although the two standing before her both feel rather well, magical.

"I think I do, yeah. You seem like just the kind of person we need around here, same to you Willow." Victoria says, giving a slight nod.

When she hears the man mention showing him around town Victoria lets out a laugh.

"Who said I'd show you the ropes here? I don't even know your name." she says, grabbing the plate and cup from Claude's table and putting it on her end of the counter.

She shrugged at Victoria's comment- 'lenient' was really putting it nicely. "Neglectful" really fit the bill better, but that wasn't exactly something Willow was interested in sharing with complete strangers.

She watched the drunk at the other table get up and leave, silently wondering at the same time just how long french toast took to cook.

At Victoria's mention of her, Willow gave her a slightly perplexed look- She wasn't exactly sure how she could be "just the person we need", especially without knowing the connotations Victoria attached to that. But, Willow chose to accept it as a compliment for the time being.

"I hope to be at least a functioning member of this corner of society. Seems I'm doing pretty good so far." She smiled to turn the sass down to a playful level.

As Victoria went on to talk to the southern man, Willow turned her attention back to fidgeting with the tea things on the table she is sitting at.

Inside is the amber liquid of the maple syrup, and the couple recites a little chant to give the food that extra delicious kick before walking outside.

"Here you go honey. I'm terribly sorry it took so long, we just love to make things perfect here." Mrs. Felix hums, putting the food down in front of the girl with the pixie cut before promptly leaving.

She has a goblin to entertain, and there's no way she trusts Mr. Felix with Tommy.

IMPORTANT EVENT!!

"Hello everyone! I would like to thank you all for coming here today to join me in celebration of our newest residents in town! Now I know that many of you were a little bit...shocked at the decision to sell the land, and more so when the houses started coming up, but I'm sure that as time goes on we'll all soon be able to get right along! Isn't that right?" Maryse exclaims, waiting for the entire populace of Johnson Creek, all of which are gathered rather comfortably in Town Square to clap.

Not a soul does. But that never has stopped her before.

"Right. Well. Please enjoy the food, drinks, and celebrations! All on me!" she exclaims, and this earns her an applause simply because everyone loves a free beer.

Town Square is decorated from top to bottom in lanterns, tables for food and drinks circle around the platform of which Maryse talks. Her government agents working behind them. To the left there's a bouncy house for the children, to the right a mini carnival full of things like Strong Man and Skee Ball. The place is littered with cotton candy machines and popcorn stands, and a projector to play Johnson Creek's favourite movie. The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

All residents who aren't human were asked to keep that side a secret, and while everyone obeys for now, there is a tension in the air between the new and the old, and many don't know
what to think of them.

After all, one can never have enough free food. So here she is. Eating cotton candy with her friends, all of which are already planning how to have a good time. She sees the grade two class singing a small concert to the side, and her parents flocking to cheer the children on so they don't think only their parents are rooting for them. It makes Victoria roll her eyes, although she still thinks it's endearing. To her left Victoria spots the group of the new werewolf gang. Started by a couple rebellious teenagers, it has grown in strength. Victoria finds them interesting, although she tries to avoid getting too close to the group because her ex happens to be in it, and while he isn't anyone important, the wound is still too fresh to poke at.

She finds that two of her friends are already off, and feels like she should split too. So she does just that. Victoria finishes her cotton candy far too quickly and heads over to the front to grab a cheese burger from the stands. She waits her turn in line and jumps when she feels someone tap her shoulder. Claude. Why must it be Claude?

He has no idea what the hell happened to make it so, but is forever grateful that it did. But now that he no longer feels like dying, he wants some fun, and for the first time in his life, he doesn't know a single person at the party, making him feel what would almost be considered insecure. So when he spots Victoria heading for some food he decides he might as well try his luck in making a friend.

"Hello again." he says, giving her a smile.

Victoria raises an eyebrow before turning around to order. She is quickly given a burger and a beer, and Claude can't help but feel a little bit well... miffed. When the man at the stand asks what he wants, Claude ops for some fries and a beer as well, because alcohol is his friend, and goes well with just about anything.

"Back to drinking so soon after this morning?" Victoria asks, holding burger in one hand, and her beer in the other.

"There's never a bad time for a beer." he states, grinning.

"With that attitude I don't suppose I won't be seeing you in AA soon enough hm?" Victoria chides, walking towards a picnic table.

Claude follows shortly behind and sits beside her.

"Course not. I know my limits." he states.

"Liar." Victoria says, before taking a massive bite out of her burger.

"Not at all." he replies, taking a swig of beer.

"Whatever you say buddy." she says, taking another bite of her food.

Claude hopes that someone else will come by, preferably someone more friendly, but until then he'd rather stick by Victoria simply because there's no one else to talk to, and he'd rather not be 'that guy' that stands around without anything to do.

~Willow~

Willow was nervous. Wondering why she even came to this when she absolutely couldn't stand parties, she quietly circled the areas with food after the lady she assumed was the mayor had finished speaking. After circling for what she felt to be an awkwardly long amount of time, she settled on the decision to get a burger at a little stand she saw. After waiting in the long line, she ordered, and though she had seen many ahead of her order alcohol, she didn't want to go there. Ordering instead lemonade, she walked away with her food to soon seen a pair of familiar faces, the drunk and the server from the tea shop this morning... Though unfortunately, she couldn't remember names. Unsure if she should approach without those tidbits, she stood paralyzed with indecision for a moment before slowly starting toward them anyway- company whose names she didn't remember was better than none at all.

"Hello... Do you mind if I sit here?" She requested quietly once she had gotten within earshot of the two at the table.
