Dice Into the Wasteland

The Journal of Edmund Wright
Entry 5

I yet live. The Duchess, in her infinite wisdom, has seen fit to allow me to continue to serve her as both a representative in these wastes and as a spy among the forces of the robot Brainstorm. I plan to learn as much as I can about the machine and his soldiers so that we may wipe them from the face of this realm, allowing us to take the wastes for ourselves rather than allow this 'New America' to rule. I must gather allies, however, as those few that I had within the Duchy have likely abandoned me or will once they hear of my failure.

I am in luck, however. The Lord Xavier and Ladies Tabitha and Catherine have given me tasks to accomplish and, should they be completed, will put forward more support for me. If I am to succeed in my goals I must do whatever I can to recieve their aid and, as such, I plan to set forth to Yilo in the morning and find whatever Lprd Xavier's asset may be. May the Duchess protect me.

Movement - Edmund, Trixie, 6 Knight Celestials, and 4 Golden Guard riding on top of Ribault and Tank to Yilo (Two territories) (Make a pitstop in Jarro to turn in Ironjaw and Shin Eater's bounties as well as pay Shelly's fine)

Action 1 - Search out one of the Envenomed as a guide within Yilo

Action 2 - Search Yilo for the coordinates sent by Xavier and attempt to take his asset

Adam - Turn 5
It is finally time for his gambit. This operation will decide the fate of Tolius and whether the Hermit Order will ascend to untold heights or fall into the depths of hell. Adam looked at the calm skies and felt a slight pity on destroying the little peace this province has. He shook his head and picked up his communication device.

“Proceed.” With a single word, Tolius woke up as the forces of the rebellion and Red Queen made a move. The decisive battle commences.

Order 1: Adam's Gambit
INITIATE THE GAMBIT

Order 2: Hire Mercs

Rohgen

1673970544327-jpeg.1058255

Personality
Intelligent/ Crafty/ Tough

Special Ability
Pulse
When he pulses, he sends out waves of radiation that will harm nearby enemies but heal other radioactive mutants. Rohgen can control when he does this, he can do three 'small' pulses or one 'big' pulse a turn.

Wargear
Grenade Harness
The Grenade Harness is not an armour at all, really, more some he can strap to his chest. The grenade harness will allow Rohgen the ability to use Frag, AT, Incendiary, Smoke or Flash grenades whenever he wishes, in addition, he can pull the 'tag' on it to pull all the grenades on it and use it as one big, nasty bomb. Doing so will destroy the harness.

Shield Belt
An ADVANCED tech. This belt enables the user to put up an energy shield that will absorb incoming ranged weaponry. It is not capable of stopping slower moving objects, so will not stop melee weaponry from hitting out or in. When the shield belt is up, it 'will' stop ranged weaponry fired by the wearer as well. Particularly powerful weaponry can punch through the shield and still be lethal, enough 'damage' will cause the belt to overload and become unusable [for the rest of the event]

Weapons
Assault Rifle
Large scythe coated in his blood [Poisonous]

Pistol

Band Name
X-Raiders

Band Type
Raiders

Movement Speed
1

Perks
Mutant (Radioactive)/ Terrifying

Skills
Skullduggery/ Ambusher/ Intimidation/ Endurance

Manpower
29 Rattlers
Rattlers wear the bones of their victims and let them dangle off of them making a distinct 'rattling' sound when they approach, very effective when coupled with their image of glowing green bones at night. Rattlers love to get close and unleash devastating volleys from their double barrel shotguns and may fire [Both Barrels] for maximum devastation at the price of not being able to fire the next combat round. Along with this shotgun, they use bone clubs... best not to inquire where they got those..
23 Twice Dead
The Twice Dead are X-Raiders that have fallen in battle but, somehow, either through their mutation or Rohgen's powers, have risen to fight again. They are exceptionally [Tough], they have been in more then their fair share of scraps and can always be relied upon to finish a fight. The Twice Dead are a solid 'core' to any fighting force and are armed with rifles [Not Assault] and sickles coated in their blood [Poisonous]. You may either give them light scrap armor or keep them 'naked' [for the bonus fear in the dark]. You can decide if they are wearing armor or not before deployment.
5 Glowing Ones
Glowing Ones are unique X-Raiders that constantly produce a buzz of radioactivity. This will passively damage living units in range, every turn, but also provide light healing to allies. This ability is a 'lite' version of Rohgens however theirs is always on and cannot be turned off. When a Glowing One dies, it explodes sending vicera and bones flying about at incredible speeds which can prove lethal to everyone around. Glowing Ones are armed with assault rifles and sickles [Poisonous]

End Goal
Reach, secure and rule the Deadlands

Infamy
Known

Armaments
A Ripper Glaive
A crate of Pistols [Can be consumed to give a unit pistols or sold. Pistols can be used in the off-hand for melee fighters]
A crate of Rifles [Can be consumed to give a unit rifles or sold]
Grenades
2 Cases of Penetrator Rounds, before an event, you may 'consume' a case to give a unit Penetrator Rounds for it. [Penetrator Rounds do as they are advised, tear through all but the heaviest of armors and can even punch through light cover and still be lethal to whomever is behind it. ]
A Mortar
4 'Phosphorous' Mortar shells [Explode into clouds of white phosphorous]
1 Unit of Trip Wires
When someone trips them, grenade pins will be pulled or grenades will be dropped [depending on the situation in question] giving them a nasty surprise. Very effective when light is in slow supply or the prey is in a hurry. Very ineffective against animals. If you consume your crate of grenades for this, it will be gone however you will gain Trip Wire: Grenades you can give to any one unit instead. Each battle you may decide to use them as traps or as normal grenades.
1 Unit of Bear Traps
Bear Traps are large metallic circular devices that 'clamp' shut on anything that steps on them. While debilitating they are very rarely lethal. These traps are effective against animals but almost worthless against robots and other mechanical foes.
1 Unit of Caltrops
1 Crate of SMGs
2 Crates of Light Scrap Armor
5 Crate of Pistols
5 Unique Serrated Melee Weapons [you may pick what form they take]
1 Crate of Rifles
1 Crate of Pre-War Combat Armor
1 Crate of Swords
1 LMG

Spoils
9 Scrap Units
2 Components
2 Units of Moonshine [Luxury good, can trade or consume yourself for morale boost
]A Unit of Gemstones.
2 Units of Precious Metals [Gold/Silver]
1 Unit of Human 'Leather'
1 Unit of Monster Bones
4 Units of Beast of Roggar Feces [Although what use you could have for that is questionable. But who knows what properties it has?]
A broken tablet that is still 'on' and flickering, but it is nearly impossible to read through the cracks.
Beast of Roggar Egg. Every turn a roll will be made to see if it hatches. You may use it for whatever you wish, including consuming it, until it hatches. You may be able to get it to hatch faster if you can keep it warm.
2 Slave Collar Units [These collars are 'broken', you may attempt to repair them, or they can be used as improvised explosives]
6 Slaves
2 Units of Psycho
4 Units Jet
1 Unit of Slow-Mo
1 Unit of Premium Spare Parts [They may be used in place of any missing ingredient for the sake of crafting, or used to boost a crafting attempt]
2 units of plastic explosives

Turn 5

Toulais

Rohgen listened to Ann with some interest, taking careful sips of his Moonshine as she recounted Adam's plan to him. He, himself, had given up listening to Adam's schemes early on in their talks, his condescending tone and boorish bravado ticking the well Known Raider right off so he had dumped the call on Ann, who was now the second most annoying person in the Wasteland. The former slave however had been eager to hear the Hermits plan, her insane smile only growing larger and larger as Adam explained his plan while her leader stewed.

The X-Raiders were the living dead, born again to terrorise the Wastes but this guy was treating them like simple sellswords! Rohgen had been so easily tempted to just blow off the haughty prig but the desperation in his voice, the slight tremble and occasional stuttering despite his seeming confidence, made the mutant murderer think twice. After all how desperate must he be to seek aid from the undead? A fact Rohgen would easily milk for all it's worth when the time came, when Toulais had fallen to his horrid horde. What a feather in his cap that would be, he mused, the utter fall of a city to his unliving legion.

After the X-Raiders were given their due that is. With the world promised to them by Adam, Rohgen was certainly going to collect. And then some. He certainly wanted Adam's woman, his retainer, by his side that was certain. Eyeing her up while he waited, and wickedly watching her leave, the radioactive raider was very keen for their next meeting. There was alot of fun he could have with her...

With another swig of his brew, Rohgen leant closer as Ann spoke of secret tunnels and a rain of fire...

Work on the tank was done in the factory, machines worked tirelessly [Which was no change from how they normally operated] to complete Brainstorm's plans. Advanced composite plating was painstakingly cast, advanced plating implants were inserted, armor spaced.. A powerful plasma reactor was built using the resources of a precious Advanced Component, giving it the capability to run for a century without needing any sort of refueling. An advanced computing system and automation was installed so that this creation would need no crew.. It would run and function entirely of its own accord, but it would still need external assistance for repairs which could be seen as the only weakness in its creation. Where a 'normal' tank could have the crew bail out and do field repairs, this tank could not, but with no crew, it also didn't have to worry about the crew getting injured or dying, or their panic or fear messing up its operations as a machine did not feel fear, merely risk calculations.

It had twin heavy laser cannons that drew upon its plasma generator and a coaxial gatling laser for 'lighter' work, while the tank may have been a 'light' tank, with its advanced weaponry, it could core other tanks from miles away especially the more primitive tanks that filled the wastelands. It had a pintle mount waiting for a heavy weapon, but no heavy weapon had been placed there yet, but it waited. It could fit any infantry heavy weapon such as a missile launcher, gatling laser, HMG, grenade machinegun, etc.

The tank, as befitting the advanced components and electronics in its system, was also capable of more.. specialization then other vehicles. The tank's internal sytems were hardened against EMP, as the lack fo a human crew made that weakness painfully apparent, but due to the skill of Brainstorm's designs, and his skill in construction and mechanical engineering, the tank also had a camo system. When sitting 'still', tiny cameras took pictures of the surroundings and super imposed them over the armor letting it, for all intents and purpose, become 'invisible'. However, this effect was lost if it moved [And if it fired it became a bit easier to see thanks to the bright lasers it fired]. Either way, it made it great for ambushing and hard to take out before it got its chance to devastate its greatest threats.

... But the cost of it was steep. 16 Scrap, 9 Components and an Advanced Component had gone into its construction. A small fortune. More wealth then most people would ever see..

As the tank rumbled through the land, it quickly gained two names... The Liberator... and The Oppressor, depending on the person who saw it and their feelings on New America.

Gain the Liberator/Oppressor
Advanced Light Tank
Twin Heavy Laser Cannons, Coaxial Gatling Laser, Empty Pintle Mount
Hardened Subsystems, Active Camo

But that wasn't all that was pushed out. The factory created Five Advanced Light Robots using the parts from an Advanced Component. The Bots were tough, durable, shiny and chrome. Their right hands having the ability to 'shift' and allow them to fire their inbuilt twin-laser rifles. What would Brainstorm name these new bots? Were these the first of a new breed, a new armor or merely there to bolster the numbers?

Five Advanced Bots
Twin Laser Rifle

The journey to Jarro is.. uneventful. The town, itself, seems active but certainly isn't the hub that Vicksburg is, but it certainly held a lot of promise. It was surrounded by fields of ranch lands with great heards of grox and other livestock that no doubt the people made their livelihood on... Jarro did not just represent food security for the fledgling New America, it also represented travel. It wasn't, currently, feasible to mass produce trucks for transportation of people and goods, but Grox? Animal pulled caravans could do so, if not slower and more cumbersome, but Old America was built on animal pulled wagons! Perhaps it would be fitting for New America to be built on the same!

... All that was left to do was approach Jarro and try to bring them into the fold.

Manifest Destiny could not be stopped.

Anaya
Turn 5

The fortress was easy enough to repair as the damage was mostly localized to one wall section. While they didn't really know how to work with concrete, Ezrin was around to give some quick pointers. It was strange to see a fort, possibly one of the best built forts in the waste, just being abandoned and immediately colonized again, but such was the way of life out in the wasteland. There was some hesitation about settling down, mostly from the normal human fear of change. They had been nomadic for so long the idea of settling down in something like permanence was.. well, it made some a bit worried. What if they lost their way of life? What if they lost the connection to the ancestors? Could they still be people of the land if they were no longer out, on the land?

Tents were set up for families to begin to live on. these tents weren't anything special, they were exactly the same as the ones they lived in when they camped, but they were quick to set up. In time, these tents would change, they'd become made of stiffer material. Furniture would start to make its way into these new homes.. In time, the settlement will begin to look almost homely, but for now, it was a village of tents. The collapsed parts of the Old World facility were used as a vault. They were underground, surrounded by reinforced concrete and had sturdy doors, it was far better then any Vault the tribal could have built with their own hands... There are a lot of human bodies around, well over 600, most are buried in mass graves as there simply is too much to really make use of, while the rest are used to feed the Queen and the bonedogs, their waste, in return, being used to help fertilize the ground.

Farms are sprung up all around the fort, growing Anaya's herbs and food such as Maize, Greenfruit and Wheatstraw. Maize is a tried and true crop, a slightly mutated corn from the post apocalypses. It grows well, but is susceptible to natural disasters. Greenfruit is a strange gourd shaped crop that is neither green [its blue] or a fruit [its a vegetable], it is unedible raw, but if sliced and steamed, it becomes quite delicious. This is a croup that only Tribals tend to grow. Wheatstraw is a thick, and very sharp, crop that is milled to turn into flour and then into bread. Wheatstraw is one of the most common crops in the waste.

As Herbalism, you can find new crops to grow or even attempt to crossbreed or grow new strains

A well is dug deep into the ground to pull clean water for both drinking and watering of crops. Anaya knows the wilds well and so puts a lid on the well to keep animals from falling into it and drowning, and so poisoning the water.

Traders and merchants begin to trickle into the new settlement, buying the crops and selling materials and other such goods. At first they try to abuse the tribals and their lack of 'civilized commerce' but Anaya is clever and Ezrin can always check the real prices at Vicksburg whenever he wishes, the combination of this results in a quick crash course for Anaya. Anaya gains Bartering. Because of the merchants and visitors, the settlement can truly said to be a population center... Anaya is now aware of the rumors of the wasteland, among others, she now knows about:

New America
The Slave Rebellion in Tolius
The X-Raiders
The Flesh Abominations
The Battle Between the Duchy Elements and New America

All the settlement needs now.. is a name. Please name your settlement.

[Continued]

But that was not all. There was something that had been bugging Anaya for some time about this place. The spirits were quiet.. With Ezrin's guidance, Anaya does some investigation of her own. From stories and talking, it seems the spirits of this place had been disturbed, perhaps even consumed, by the strange eye that once called this realm its domain...

But surely they were some still around? The beast was gone, shouldn't they be back?...

Drawn to the fallen facility, Anaya wanders its halls and is called.. Called to a box. A box filled with glowing crystals. A box filled with Soul Stones. The souls trapped within have gone insane from their imprisonment. They are violent and cruel now, seeking only to harm and hurt those around it as a brief respite for their own misery..

Decision Point
1. Give them to Ezrin, if he wants them, as they may be safer with him.
2. Break the Soul Stones and unleash the spirits.
3. Bury the box and keep the Spirits Contained Forever
4. Implant the Spirit Stones into your warriors and hunters to try and turn them into Spirit Warriors
5. Implant the Spirit Stones into weapons to try and make use of their rage.

Ezrin Thorne - Mastermind Psionic.jpg
Djinn Influence

"New America, what an absurd concept," Ezrin muttered in amusement as he walks on towards the Flats and Vicksburg. "They made the Tithe invasion possible, as did that Red Queen with all her slaving. Treating people like meat. Product. Putting a knife into the hand of the monsters."

"Master, we broke them. Can't you be happy about that? Anaya also is a potential student for you. Did you not wish to help our kind propagate more?" Zora asked as she walks along with Ezrin. The pair moving amongst the cadre of Djinn Puppets armed with seized weapons or carrying the various supplies Ezrin had taken from his stash along with that of Nigel Billingsworth.

"I am quite happy, but I'm allowed to be angry. Knowing that the Tithe will rebuild its manpower for every slave that ships through Vicksburg or other slaver lanes from Tolius. We've bought time. Anaya I hope makes good use of Roggar. She deserves it for her willing sacrifices made to help us stop that horror show from coming into the Wastlands. The others will look here now. The other powers. I must change strategies," Ezrin mused with a sigh like a man bearing the weight of the world on his shoulders.

"Our plans can still work, master. How do we change gears though?" Zora asked curiously as her faceplate looks to Ezrin with a tilt of her head.

"We go to New America... and become useful," Ezrin grumbles some. "I already warned Enrico something was shifting in Tolius. I can't really stomach helping the Red Queen after killing all those slave soldiers. I'll see what strings we can find to tug in Vicksburg, starting with this apparent President Rottenburst."

"Ah, we find more resources to seek our goal," Zora said with a sage nod as she hit onto why they were traveling into a land Ezrin hadn't been overly keen for. It had a more true ring to it though over the slave pits of Tolius and who know what was fomenting there. Enrico was at least given his warning. The only kindness he'd give the slaver after he'd taken his cut of the Tithe Invasion loot.

"You're learning. Very good, Zora. Yes, we shall go to America. Land of Opportunity."

The pair gave a bit of a grim chuckle at that as their puppet horde marched on around them. They had much work to do. Big Brother wouldn't reveal itself.

Movement
The Djinn relocate entirely to Vicksburg in the Flats

Actions
1: Ezrin utilizes his powerful psionic will to spread stories of the Tithe War in Roggar along with the heroism of the Djinn and Anaya. He spins tales of battle and glory against a vile horde that sought to invade and bring ruin to the Wastelands.

2: Ezrin will seek an audience with President Rottenburst

The Deliverers
Turn 5
Auriel Maza Auriel Maza

Camael didn't have to look hard for Earthlings, they were mentioned by Samantha and Camael had gotten a glimpse of them, from a safe distance, when he had first gone to the observation post. Earthlings in strange red robes that seemed to lurk in the shadows of the mountains, coming out only at dusk and dawn before quickly returning to their caves. It was certainly strange, but Earthlings were always strange, but there was some twisted sense of logic. From what they've learned about Howl, so far, midday and night tended to be the most dangerous times where the predators of the land were the most active, so going out at dawn and dusk was likely a means to avoid their attention. Still, something about the Earthlings was strange, probably followed some bizarre beliefs but maybe that was just the robes. Even for Camael and otherworlders, robes were usually the sign of weirdos or a cult. Often both. The interesting thing they've discovered on their travels is how these Earthlings seem to be coming and going from the same caves... Either they had numerous separate bands living in separate caves or there was a massive cavern system in this mountain that the Earthlings had claimed for their own.. If it was one continuous cavern system, then the Earthlings of Howl likely had more numbers and power then was originally expected.

Was there a secret vault of Earthlings suspended in cryosleep? Earthlings from the past? Possibly. Very possibly. Earthlings had advanced to the point they'd have been experimenting with that, but finding that vault? Difficult. Would it even be in Howl? Unknown. It would be like finding a needle in a nation sized haystack. As for signs of other occupants of the Observation Post... Camael had already seen them. While he may not have known at the time, after some time to think about all that had happened, he understood what had transpired in the post [High Roll]. Those.. things were the crew. The stasis pods are meant to adapt the bodies of those inside to the climate and atmospheric pressure of the world's they're on. It allows them to quickly adapt to new positions and stations, but.. When the bombs fell, the radiation and magnetic pulses must have reached even the station and fried most of the stasis pods. Instead of adapting them to the world that was, they adapted them to a cold, dark, empty cavern.. Decades of inbreeding destroying whatever intelligence likely remained, leaving behind only a bestial cunning.

Those that remained in the non-damaged pods were certainly all that remained of his people in this area. And their time was running out.

Howl was a honeycomb of caverns and tunnels, it was rather hard to not find new ones.. The problem was how many of the caverns ended up leading to nowhere and how many lead to potential treasure troves? And if they really needed support, they could always attempt to bargain with the Fellow Humans.. but still, promising caves did exist..

Decision Point
1. Explore Earthling Cavern System
2. Explore 'White Ape' cave
3. Explore Sink Pit
4. Explore slime covered cave

Turn 5
The Duchess's Legion
Dest Dest

Edmund arrived to Jarro right after it had joined New America, so he missed out on all the... interesting happenings, but he did hear of what happened. The gathering, the assassination, the death of one Nancy Pham. It seemed Yarrow and Campbell weren't the only ones to be double crossed by the robot in its bid for power. The sheriff, a distraught man who could barely pack his pipe, accepted the items as proof of the bounty, as, after all, he had seen Otto and news of the bandit destruction had reached Jarro. For Ironjaw, he was given 20 Scrap, a kings bounty, for Shin Eater merely 8. However, to absolve Shelly's fine, it took 10 scrap. In the end, Edmund made a very nice profit of 18 Scrap. Asking around Jarro, Edmund learned of a Drifter 'town' that would be rolling by the border of Yilo and that would certainly be the best time to try and find an Envenomed to hire... Bracing themselves, and hoping the Tide was not here, they crossed the border into Yilo.

As vehicles rolled over the border, they traveled through the dust bowl that was Yilo. The sand constantly kicking up and getting in their faces, exposed to the elements on top of the tanks, it was far from a pleasant trip. As they neared the coordinates for the Drifters, they came under fire as mortar shells fell around them. A large... building on massive wheels rumbled towards them at high speeds, flags of skulls hoisted out the top. Bandits.. Or pirates, perhaps, but where we-

Then the coin dropped in Edmund's mind. He had been set up! This was a pirate ambush, there were no drifts waiting. Could they outrun them? Or would they have to fight?..

[Actions paused until AMBUSH is resolved]

The pirates were defeated... and then consumed by the Deathstalker Scorpion. Perhaps Edmund could have helped but.. could he have? There is a single spot for someone to ride with them with the death of the knight, and they'd have to have held the pirate vessel against the scorpion, or perhaps, multiple scorpions until repairs could be made.. Yes, Edmund had made the right call.

... They arrive at the point and meet a considerably larger vessel, one that has many people and buildings. Edmund and Emi go around trying to get some Envenomed but have little success, well, that is until Edmund opens his coffers and starts to throw around the Scrap.

Many people step forth, but it quickly becomes apparent that many of those that step forward are looking for a hand out as none of them are envenomed. The Envenomed, they quickly discover, are.. distinct. They have large dark veins veins that have spread up their neck to the bottom portion of their face, the permanent scaring left over from their encounter with the venom. They are all Psionics and have the 'same' power [Arachnid/Insectoid]

Pick One:

Carlos Ramirez
Carlos is very young and seems nervous. He is impressionable and seems more, or less, happy to have been interviewed. He promises that, despite his inexperience, he will work hard and will get them all out safely. This scrap would go a very long way in helping his situation. He has a lot to learn but he is ready to learn it!

Masaki Ren
Masaki Ren, or 'Ren', is a woman who spends most of her time wandering Yilo alone. She is a bit distant and can be seen talking to herself once in awhile, but she is a tried and true survivor of the province, now if only she didn't have that big Arachyaw [Monster Spider] with her

William Ellis
William is an old man who has been around Yilo since.. well, longer then most people believe. As he says, he doesn't know who was the first drifter, him or a few others, but he's given up counting. William is extremely odd. Half insane and worships the 'Empress of Yilo' as a diety. He is considered to be the strongest Envenomed in Yilo.

The Arrival

They arrive to the ruins of a drifter vessel, tilted and shattered across the wasteland. Now that he was t here, Edmund opened the sealed envelop and tilted it over in his hand. A single picture of a woman and a girl fell out into his hand with a single phrase on the back, "Bring the girl."

Hermit Order
Turn 5
Kent Kent

Things... had not gone to plan. All that time and effort, all that work and Tolius was gone. A city of pulsating flesh, the nobles, civilians and soldiers, all devoured by the creatures that the Slaves had unleashed. Death or freedom, what sort of moron thought that was a real choice? From the reports, the amount of goods Rhea was bringing back was... In any other situation, the goods she recovered would have been incredible. A large rewarding job, but this wasn't those situations. The Vault, from what he had been told, had been an ocean of valuables and they.. They had left with a handful. A handful that got even smaller when Rohgen and his X-Raiders cornered them and took another cut.. The Princess had been lost in the waste, the soldiers leaving to reinforce their allies while the two servants had fled in terror leaving the young girl all along.. in a place swarming with Flesh Abominations. Her fate was certainly sealed. It would be better for Adam if she was dead, so he would not be praying for her safety.

The Hermit Order would rebuild and restart. Somewhere more.. stable, somewhere the leadership was less entrenched, somewhere like New America. After all, such a prosperous fledgling nation was in desperate need of the unseen guidance of the Hermit Order, they just didn't know it yet..

There was one more problem. Da-Eun. Adam had reflected and realized she had known what was coming. It was why she was so quick to run and refused to leave any of her, personal, assets in town. She had known and told him nothing... But she had given him some level of warning. What would have happened if she hadn't said anything and he had stayed in Tolius? How many more would have died? The beggars would have been devastated... But the box. Did he open it? Did he look inside? Or did he trust the spy from the Tithe and give her the box, unopened and undisturbed, as he promised and instead trust her reward would be worth it such as the promised book to aid in Agent training which they desperately needed to replace their numbers? Either way, Adam was sure to have some questions for her..

All Actions were resolved on Discord

X-Raiders
Turn 5
Twist Twist

Tolius had not gone as... expected. Sure, they had killed the palace guard, raised some of the dead as X-Raiders and Rohgen had even killed the Red Queen and claimed her corpse as his new banner, but they weren't able to loot the vault. The city had fallen to Flesh Abominations and Rohgen, being a bit craftier then most, had decided to retreat rather then risk everything on shiny baubles, plus, he could always wait outside the cave for Adam's lackeys and simple take what they looted! Well, he didn't take it all, but he did take what was promised, a cut of what was taken including two radios which would allow the mortars to correct their aims to improve their lethality. Still, it wasn't the great haul that was promised, but it was good enough as they had come out ahead, and more over, the Hermit Order owed them the location to El Colorado. They said it would be prepared soon, all they had to do now was follow through on their word.

The trip to the Green went rather smoothly, but.. well, of course it did. Everything in Tolius was now gone or a Flesh Abomination. What was.. strange about the Green was just, well, how green it was. Lush plant life was so bizarre to see. Not the drab browns and dead trees of the waste but living brown trees with soft grass underfoot. It was a veritable paradise. The emerald lake seemed to almost shin under the rays of the sun.. Yes, it was a lovely place. Greensville's was a decent sized town and the massive supermutants on guard made no effort to stop Rohgen. They'd likely only stop fighting that threatened the town, after all, mutants tended to behave in Greensville.. If they didn't, well, they'd likely lose their only place to trade.

Still, for the first time in a long time, Rohgen could trade and sell all that loot he has been gathering..

[Trading will be done in discord]

....

It started at night, the soft cracking and sound of rustling that attracted the X-Raiders on night guard duty.. Those that noticed what it was quickly awoke Rohgen who managed to get to the egg in time to watch it, watch the crack form on its surface. Watched the claw tear and fold the corner of the egg over before it emerged. Translucent skin punched through as the eerie green bones gave a baleful glow as the creature tumbled out of its confinement. It took a single look at Rohgen and a connect was made. The imprint. The baby, already taller then Rohgen, moved over to try and nuzzle the leader of the X-Raiders...

He had finally gotten his beast.

Gain the Beast of Rohgen

Every turn, the Beast of Rohgen will grow 1 stage. Right now it is about the size of a man, next turn it will be the size of an ogre [Medium], then a giant [Heavy] before finally rivaling his mother in sheer bulk [Super Heavy]. However, the radiation had changed it. Its body wasn't as tough as its mothers nor its skin as thick. The Beast of Rohgen, when fully grown, won't have quite the health, durability or raw strength as its mother but.. it had gained something else instead. Acidic poison blood, a constant passive aura of radiation and, most importantly, the Beast of Rohgen was capable of drawing in radiation to unleash powerful Atomic Breath attacks [Once used, takes three battle rounds to recharge].

The Last Amazonians
Turn 5

In front of the Vault door, the Amazonians had set up camp for the night. Tomorrow morning, they were to set off to Jarro because of some family drama. Perhaps it was divine providence, but in the back of one of their trucks they stumbled upon a mysterious cache of books. Among the grim tomes of survival guides and botched DIY manuals, they discovered a tattered copy of "Romeo and Juliet" by some guy named, William Shakespeare. Little did they know that their encounter with the tragic love story would lead to a twisted, darkly comedic discussion. Gathered around a sputtering campfire, their faces weathered and expressions jaded, Sheila, the group's resident cynic, held up the crumbling book with a smirk. "Well, well, well, folks. Looks like we've hit the jackpot. A story about a couple so messed up that they think dying for each other is a grand romantic gesture. Talk about relationship goals!"

Laughter erupted from the group, a mix of exhaustion and gallows humor providing a twisted release. Hank, the group's snarky comic relief, chimed in. "Seriously, Romeo and Juliet? More like 'Bad Life Choices 101.' I mean, what kind of love story ends with both parties kicking the bucket? If that's romance, I'll take a lifetime supply of canned beans instead." Amidst the laughter, Evelyn, the sarcastic realist, raised an eyebrow. "I guess when it comes to dealing with relationship drama, Romeo and Juliet decided to take the nuclear option. Can't decide between families? Just fake your own deaths and hope for the best. Brilliant!" The group erupted into a cacophony of dark jokes, imagining Romeo and Juliet trying to navigate modern-day relationship dilemmas like literal ghosting, waiting months to hear back potential suitors if at all, or arguing over who gets the last can of spam.

Liam, the group's storyteller with a morbid twist, quieted the laughter with a mischievous grin. "But you know what, folks? Beneath the twisted humor, there's a nugget of truth. Love can be messy, complicated, and downright absurd, especially in a world like ours. Yet, amidst the chaos, it's the one thing that keeps us human, reminding us that we're not just a bunch of grizzled survivors. We're still capable of feeling, of connecting, even if it's through the lens of twisted humor." The group fell silent, a mix of laughter and contemplation hanging in the air. They knew that even in the darkest of times, there was a flicker of humanity to be found, a reason to laugh and find solace in the absurdity of their existence. And so, they continued their journey through the desolate wasteland, armed with dark humor and a newfound appreciation for the comedic relief that could be found in the tragic tales of old. They faced the challenges with a wry smile and the understanding that, in a world gone mad, laughter could be the ultimate survival tool.

Anaya is so, so happy. Even with everything that's happened, her people are strong. And now, perhaps they're even close to being safe. There is still so much to do, and she knows that well, but suddenly there is trade in a way there never was before. There is food they don't have to track and chase. New kinds of meals are being prepared, new games are emerging in the children of the clan. And while the guards on the walls are always vigilant, the walls themselves mean the people can relax just a little more.

Sometimes she takes out the box that holds her mother's soul, tearfully whispering about the progress she's made. How the elders her mother knew have all the time they need to rest, and how that means the little ones will have time to hear their stories, rather than letting such valuable wisdom be lost to failing bodies.

And now, to see to a promise. She has learned of a growing empire, one with a hospital that can save people from things she can only offer an easy death for. And the poor old queen has suffered long enough. It's time Anaya went to get her back to her best. She more than trusts Daniel to see to the needs of Allhaven while she's gone.

ACTIONS
Anaya, Lucille, 30 warriors, 30 hunters, 10 beast tamers, 40 bone dogs, and the Queen are all going to Vicksburg

Anaya is going to remote learn with Ezrin on the way there.

The rest of Allhaven is going to start working on a better facility for potion making.

Into The Wasteland

Brainstorm

Turn 6

“S-sorry,” Nancy said through gritted teeth, “Think I broke the gun…”

Galileo attempted and failed to save the woman from her deadly wounds as the scattershot tore her insides up. Without Medigel, there was very little that he could do. And even without a moveable expression, the sorry on the machine’s face was evident.

She only had a few more words to say to the sheriff before succumbing to her wounds.

Brainstorm was unable to do anything. Why did that happen? Why did he let it happen? Why couldn’t he have made a better gun? Why were his forces unable to make sure that the other men didn’t have any guns on them. Why…why…..why……

Brainstorm’s eyes lit back up as he had come out of his power down cycle. Just a dream…..a very sad one. He couldn’t save Nancy Pham. But he could make sure that she was remembered.

And that he did.

The Nancy Pham Memorial Hospital was the grandest project in the wasteland. It had doctors, equipment and even a generous donation of a Vertibird to act as a Medicopter.

Never again would Brainstorm have to deal with such a situation. Stimpacks were now readily available to his human troops and even Galileo finally got that much needed Medigel. Lives would be saved.

And for that, he knew he needed to be even stronger to protect New America from the enemies beyond its borders.

Word had spread north of the fall of Toulis and the flesh monsters that did it. Once again, the problems caused by Edmund reared its ugly head again. It was time to move all New American forces down south to deal with the problem.

He would send a communication to Edmund and have his forces join them in the Capital for the advance on Toulis. It was time for that man to face the problem that he had created.. As long as he was truly the man that Brainstorm had believed him to be and not a coward that hid when things got tough.

In the meantime, Brainstorm and his forces hitched a ride to quickly move back down to Vicksburg as fortunately, the New Amazonians wanted a steady stream of work from New America, and a powerful vehicle to add to their fleet as payment for a simple drive back to Vicksburg along safe lands.

The New Amazonians were a curious bunch, especially since they are a continuation of something from the Old World, even if in a distorted way. It was impressive how something like that could continue. Which brought greater hope to Brainstorm that New America would continue to prosper and grow.

Brainstorm did know that with enemies surrounding New America and the encroaching horde of Flesh, that watchtowers and reinforced roads were important to not only mobility, but as an early warning system to bandits, raiders or even flesh monsters.

On another front, progress with New America has reached the sensors of Brainstorm and it was imperative to finally start to build laws and train judges and lawyers to enforce those laws. Once those are in place, it will be much simpler to instate Senators and other governmental positions.

He knew that he needed to make sure that it would continue in the event that he should fall. President Rottenburst was the first of the Presidents for New America, but he would need to make sure that he would not be the only one.

For that, he would be enlisting the help of the New America Psionic Agency (NAPA) as he has heard about how much of a hero he was and instrumental in holding back the Tithe from putting a foothold in the Wasteland.

—-----------------------------

From the Journal of one Private Janice Madison

Dear Diary,

Today we got word that we’ll be leaving our post in Amire and returning back to Vicksburg. That’s great as I miss my family and my fiance Geoff. He’s still stationed in a patrol in the Capital and wasn’t yet attached to one of General Brainstorm’s squads.

I can’t wait to get back so we can start a family. Especially since the people of Amire don’t seem to like us very much. At best they seem to keep their distance and at worst, call us names and slurs. I try not to think about that. Don’t they like being a part of New America? I for one think it's swell and so do the other girls in the squad. Sure it seemed silly at first, rebuilding the Old United States of America. I mean, that things had fallen so long ago. It was the stuff of fairy tales told by our grandparents.

But the General has been having a lot of success in the Wasteland. And even got Jarro of all places to join! Can you believe that? More Grox has seemed to flow through Amire than ever before.

She even had an honest to stars Hospital set up. When was the last time anyone even heard of that? Plus, now we’ve gotten Stimpacks as standard issue to help keep us in the fight longer….

Speaking of General Brainstorm, isn’t she just the greatest? Sure, she’s a metal gal, but she’s showing all those men out there in the wasteland what us women are capable of and doesn’t take any guff from any of them.

Well, thanks for listening, Diary.

Actions:
1. Construct Watchtowers and reinforced roads from Vicksburg to Jarro using Brainstorm, 5 Crab Bots, and 4 Industrial Bots. (Inner lane will be for vehicles while outer lane will be for Grox, Grox pulled vehicles and People

2. Build Courts and with the help of Director Ezrin and President Rottenburst, pick and educate a series of Judges and Lawyers to enforce Old World laws modified to fit the Wasteland.

Movement: Brainstorm, Galileo, Full Otto, 3 Miss Widows, 1 Retrofitted Crab Droid, 15 Juvies and 7 Buggies are escorted by the New Amazonians back to Vicksburg as part of an agreement consisting of 2 Scrap, 2 Components and a Sweet Ride as soon as an advanced component is located.

Captain Regina Thornton, 30 Regina’s Cohort, 4 Industrial Bots, 2 Miss Widows and 1 Retrofitted Crab Droid return from Amire to Vickburg

Action 1 : Find works

Action 2 : Make a small drone

Commerce : Done in Greensville

▌│█║▌║▌║ Orders details║▌║▌║█│▌

  • The Tree Children will look for works in Greensville where their talents and abilities could be of used.

╭⊱ ღ꧁꧂ღ╭⊱
Sunset rose and pierced the coarse sand, as a gentle breeze carried the scent of wood. The harsh yellow of the desert nibbled on by a long green line. A slithering forest moving as one.
At the rear and the side stood some of the Treebark elders, bark like cement and gnarly feet trudging along. A few young children hiding in their foliage and playing. Next to them and at each side of the line the Grove guard maintained orders. Shouting command and guiding caravans. With some looking around guns at the ready. Here and there, families talked, friends laughed and lovers whispered to each others. Old, young, men, women, green skin, plain skin, or starting to toughen. The Tree Children all moved in one direction.
And at the very top of the line. Surrounded by their most loyal and ferocious warriors stood the one that they all followed. The current Guardian, Flowna, was in a lively discussion with some pixies scout.

Flowna thanked the scout for their report and mused about their band next move. "Guardian. What about after ?" Ocore asked her. Among her advisor and commander Ocore worried the most by far. "After we have replenished and grew our strength. It will be as the Elder and I agreed." She said and paused. Looking at her 6th commander she continued. "It will be an arduous journey. We have grown used to being rootless for too long." Ocore nodded slowly and scratched his neck. "I just worry that despite what this...New America say. They turn out to only be open to "true" human." Flowna gaze softened ever so slightly. The death of Ocore rootbrother so long ago had never truly healed. She leaned forward and put a hand on his shoulder. "You are right to worry that the earth we intend to plunge our root into will made them rotten. If it ever come to that you can count on us–she gestured to her and the Elder–to guard your retreat." She smiled faintly. "And we know we can count on you to guide our people to safety." Ocore clasped her hand briefly and walked ahead, a little more taller.

The scout came again to warn their guardian. As the line continued to advanced. The faint shape of Greenville and a new future appeared.

The Deliverers - Turn 6
[Post Theme]
On Monsters “There were two kinds of monsters, the kind that hunted the streets and the kind that lived in your head. She could fight the first, but the second was more dangerous. It was always, always, always a step ahead.”
― Victoria Schwab, Our Dark Duet

  • It was time to reclaim the post. To reclaim a hold on this hellish world. Camael only hoped that his efforts to save his comrades would be enough. The Earthlings they have recruited would be useful assets and Camael suspected they would enjoy the amendities it would provide. Once some adjustments would be made for their larger size. The thoughts of what the albinos actually were held onto his mind. How many others were in the post were likely numerous, if Camael could remember the camera feed. As he entered the coal mine, preparing to open up the tunnels again and vanquish the monsters, he thought of where to go from here. Likely to begin preparing the post for more regular use. Security systems, manufactories, and other areas. While the Accord wouldn't appreciate such expansionism, Camael didn't care. His travels in Howl made him think. How many of his kind suffering out there. He was in the unique position to help them, rally them, and get them out of here. He couldn't leave them here. No. No one should have to endure this hell.

Abigail and the other Earthlings would also get off world. They were helpful and Camael isn't cruel or racist. He knew some Earthlings were good. So, Camael pondered as the others prepared to open the tunnel. How would plan such an endeavor? The sensors and supplies of the post should help inform. As he looked down the coal mine, back to the surface, Camael sighed. One of the rangers was about to open the tunnel. The monsters would come, and hell is what they would receive.

Anaya
Turn 6
Eliasdagood Eliasdagood

It was strange to see such a massive creature such as the Queen of Roggar, arriving to the civilized, bustling city of Vickburg and for there to not be panic and chaos in the streets, but such was the fable and stories of the 'humble' tribal Anaya who stood up against the horrible forces of the Tithe and pushed back oblivion with nothing more then some spears and determination, at least, that is how the more fanciful stories tell of it. Anaya received a heroes welcome and was even welcomed by the architect of New America, the strange robot known as General Brainstorm. There was something peotic about seeing the 'primitive' human Anaya shaking hinds with the robotic woman Brainstorm, the steel and flesh mingling as the past and future joined together. Anaya's tribe has joined New America, entering into a union of trade and prosperity as the news that Roggar was now truly safe and open for business spread. Traders from Vicksburg began to arrive in Roggar to trade with the locals. Gain 2 Scrap a turn.

The telepathic training with Ezrin was.. different. Frustrating and confusing at first, but soon she began to see. Not with her eyes but with her mind as her powers grew.. Her soul touched the universe and some of its secrets were laid bare.. Anaya is Psionic Level 1. Anaya replaces the skill: Spirit Speaker with the psionic keyword: Spirits. Anaya has one available Psionic Keyword that she may use [Do you wanna be Telekinesis? Telepathic? Pyrokinetic? Etc, pick one.] This is a huge step in her life as, perhaps, with some dedication and training, Psionics may become part of the tribe as the bonedogs are.. And for Ezrin, it is a step towards the bright future of a psionic world.

Work on the apothecary goes fairly well. The tribe has a large amount of scrap and supplies, and with the traders coming in from Vicksburg, they can truly make something of note..

Decision Point
Spend 3 Scrap to build Apothecary
Spend 9 Scrap to build a Grand Apothecary

New America
Turn 6
Trektek Trektek

New America had grown remarkably well in such a short time, Jarro had been recruited as a state, a hospital had been built to grant hope back to the land, Director Thorne had been recruited and a base built for him to help keep and eye over the internet security issues of New America.. Indeed, the sun was truly on the rise for the burgeoning nation. So it was with some surprise, but a pleasant one to be sure, when Anaya of Roggar showed up upon her great beast and openly agreed to join New America. Brainstorm now had both heroes of Roggar, even if he wasn't aware of what role Ezrin played or even if he did play a roll, in the nation and entire new province filled with people, growth and opportunities. As a new state meant new citizens and resources, New America gained even more revenue, and in turn, General Brainstorms stipend increases. Gain 2 Scrap a Turn.

It seems Brainstorm always had a taste for building, but perhaps the hospital had really ignited a fire in the nonexistent belly of the bot. A road was dreamed of, a large road that would accommodate both vehicles and animal traffic. Of course, someday, once more, the vehicle would be something all families could own as what could be more American then driving anywhere in this great country at their whim? But for now, this land was still wild and lawless, so Brainstorm drew up plans for watch towers to be run along the roads to keep an eye out for bandits and beast to keep traders safe...

The actual construction goes remarkably well, so well that Brainstorm is given a few choices in how it all goes down.. He could stick to his original plans and through sheer skill, build it for free, or he could turn those watchtowers into waystations, miniforts where travelers and traders could rest, each home to a radio so they can keep in contact with one another or radio back to Vicksburg to alert them immediately to threats.. But this was more expensive. While a few wanted something more... grand, to symbolize the new states joining.. A great scrap statue was planned, on one Anaya upon the Queen while on the other, Brainstorm riding a mighty Grox.. both extending their hands to one another.. This massive statue would either go in the Flats, upon the Gateway to the West, or it would be built in Roggar.

Decision Point
1. Just Watchtowers [Free]
2. Waystations [3 Scrap, 2 Components]
3. Statue of Union [6 Scrap]

The court house... doesn't go quite as well, funds are tight and the Mayor isn't interested in spending his personal wealth the nation funds on the construction as they have already funded Director Thorne's branch. So, a few decisions are available..

Decision Point
1. Reuse Old Building [Free]
2. Courthouse [3 Scrap]
3. Grand Statehouse [6 Scrap, 2 Components]

The selection process goes well with Ezrin, Brainstorm and the Mayor picking candidates they like, although there are a few times where the mayor really goes to bat for a few of them and Ezrin and Brainstorm are forced to concede the picks, but overall, they are a decent group of educated men with a drive to build something new. Sure, there may be a bad egg or to that are interested in the power and prestige that comes with office, but such is the way of America. Progress demands all get a chance. The Code of Law is being adopted, based on the Old American system, but refined in places that the trio believe are outdated or no longer suitable for the current realities of the Wasteland. Some of the most important ones being the banning of slavery and the right to a speedy trial by their peers.

EDIT:

Decisions Made

The waystations lined the newly built roads of New America, these fortified locations were not difficult to overcome by a large force, but would be a difficult obstacle for most small time raiders. Each waystation was equipped with a radio tower that could be used to report any news they saw or that trades that visited to stay reported. The waystations greatly increased trader caravan confidence which encouraged travel between New America's lands as well as to and from the western nations which proved to be a large boon to the economy [Gain +2 Scrap and +1 Components a turn]. Two large statues were built upon the main road on the Western Approach, one was Anaya riding upon the Queen of Roggar, while the other was Brainstorm, in the form of a Widow that had become to be seen as his true form by the people of New America, riding upon a massive grox. Below it was a plaque stating the time and date of the union of the two forces and the hope that peace and prosperity would be open to all. This statue increases faith in New America, as a whole.. A symbol of unity triumphing over the chaos. Between it, and the roads, all movement in New America Provinces is increased by +1 [This triggers if you move into it or start your move in it]

Below it is a special mention of how these statues were heavily subsidized by Director Ezrin Thorne of NAPA... This small dedication drives interest in NAPA as some immigrants apply to NAPA to have their psionic potential checked out.. Ezrin Gains 5 Psionic Disciples [Telekinetic] Psionic Disciples are a unique unit that can 'join their minds together' to use psionic abilities. They can cast a single power together or aid another, more powerful, psionic in casting their power. The more of them there are, the strongest this effect/power. Crocodile Crocodile

A Grand Statehouse was constructed at the heart of the city, overlooking the central forum. It is made of imported marble and steel, a shining beacon of what once was brought anew. A grand staircase is built before it that leads into the town. It is filled with not only chambers for courts, but also chambers for the new senate to meet, presidential quarters and office as well as a secure underground bunker with advanced communication should the worst occur so the heads of government can still meet and function as best they are able. This improves the overall stability of New America as well begins to enforce laws which results in many brigands and back alley bullies, along with prominent traders who have been accused of tax dodging and corruption, to be arrested. The local prison doesn't have enough room for many of these new criminals, so those of lighter crimes are often fined or given parole. The sheer amount of building provides a lot of jobs and between these new employed people and the sudden influx of trade from the west, all prosper. All members of New America have their income increased by +2 Scrap, this bonus will apply to anyone that joins later as well. Trektek Trektek Dest Dest Crocodile Crocodile Eliasdagood Eliasdagood

EDMUND WRIGHT
Turn 6

“We have gathered today to honor Ser Edmund Wright, Uniter of the Wastes, Lord of the Empress’s Legion, and Vanquisher of New America,” Edmund’s eyes remained closed and his head bowed as he kneeled, listening to his Empress as she began the ceremony. “He has succeeded in returning our realm to its former glory, and even further than that! He has brought new wealth, new hope, and new freedoms to the Karmine Empire, and all for naught but the love of my daughter and heir, the Lady Catherine. We stand today in the presence of a true hero, one who has thrust us once more into the forefront of all realms! Stand Lord Edmund and take your rightful place by my daughter’s side!”

Edmund obeyed at once, eyes shooting open as he pushed himself to his feet. Before him stood the entire royal family, The Empress herself at the forefront, Lady Catherine smiling at him just beside her, Lord Xavier smiling charmingly with his wife and daughter, and Lady Tabitha giving him her customary bloodthirsty grin. He stepped forward slowly and took his place by his beloved’s side, looking out into the crowd which held friends, allies, and noblemen of the Empire.

At the forefront stood the elite forces of his Legion, the one’s who had stood by his side and fought from the very beginning with him, his quartet of Golden Guard in their gleaming armor, glaives held at their sides and hands clasped over their hearts. Beside them stood five Knight Celestials, their own armor glowing slightly from the light of their water, and the duo of Shelly, Trixie, and Emi, the trio woman having grown close during the battles they had fought. On the other side stood Rodriguez, Masaki, and her Arachymaw Kumo. These fourteen had fought beside him through battle after battle, never faltering in the face of danger as they took on every enemy that had come their way.

“We thank all those who have come here today, and now we open the festivities! All are welcome to dance, to feast, to meet the man of the hour!” Her piece spoken the Empress waved a hand, the musicians that held their instruments in the corner immediately starting to play. Soft music filled the air, and groups quickly began to break away, some to tables set up in the grand hall, others to the dance floor that had been revealed as groups moved away.

“May I have this dance my lady?” Edmund turned and smiled at his beloved, watching as she giggled.

“Of course, my lord,” Catherine smiled back, turning and leading him onto the floor.

The couple began to dance slowly, holding each other tightly as they twirled around the floor in time with the music. Others joined them in time, Emi and Nate, Anna and Stevens of his Golden Guard, and Lord Xavier and his wife. As they danced Edmund’s eyes flickered at the edges, something always seeming to be just out of his view. It wasn’t until, after twirling his beloved around once more, that he realized something was wrong. He watched as Lord Xavier twirled his wife, blood flowing freely from the hole in the center of her forehead. On the edge of the dance floor the lord’s daughter smiled at her parents, flecks of blood and brains covering her dress.

“Is something wrong my love?” Catherine’s voice drew his eyes once more to her, a chuckle already forming in his throat as the odd sights seemed to flow away.

“No, just a trick of the lig-“ Whatever Edmund was about to say stopped instantly once he had faced Catherine once more, the beautiful woman being replaced by an abomination of flesh, one of the very ones Edmund had sworn to destroy. Shoving her away in shock, the knight whirled around, staring as more and more of the guests turned into abominations. It wasn’t until he caught sight of his companions, however, that he felt a true, deep chill.

Gone were the pristine armored forms, replaced only by bodies that had been brutally slaughtered. The nine knights had been brutalized, missing arms, legs, and even heads in some cases, their armor ripped open as if they were tin cans and a mess made of the flesh underneath. Masaki was a bundled mess of silk and poison, her own mount betraying and half dissolving her before she had killed it. Rodriguez had been cut nearly in two, a pair of the abominations fighting over either half as if he was a rope toy. Emi and Nate stared at each other in eternity, their limbs and bodies fused as if held under intense radiation. Of Shelly only scattered remnants of flesh and clothes remained, the pins of her grenades having been pulled to offer her the sweet release of a quick death.

And Trixie? Among the most loyal of his allies, one who had fought alongside and understood him better than many ever could? She lay among the remains of dozens of the beasts, breathing shallow and her rifle a shattered mess at her side.

“Trixie!” Edmund drew his arming sword, slicing at the abominations nearest to him and killing them in single blows as he charged towards her. More and more of the beings charged at him, slowing his fighting progress to a crawl. “GET OUT OF MY WAY YOU BASTARDS!” He roared and fought back but slowly, ever so slowly, he began to be overwhelmed by the monsters. It started slowly, one of them slipping into his guard and leaving a deep gash on his off arm, but quickly more and more wounds began to pile upon one another until the creatures brought him low. Edmund was forced to watch as the leader of the beasts, the giant that had escaped the vault, forced its way into the hall, ripping it open to show the destruction of the city. He watched as the creature picked Trixie up and brought her to its mouth, all the while a deep chuckling penetrated the very core of his mind. As Edmund choked on his own blood, he reached out, trying to stop the creature from eating her –

Only to wake with a start, arm still extended and sweat poring down his body. The knight quickly stood up, stripping himself to the waist and trying to find any evidence of the battle that he had just fought, only to find nothing but old scars.

“A fucking nightmare,” he muttered, scowling as he sat once more. He wiped his face roughly, feeling the sweat soaked hair and beard that partially covered his face. With a growl he pushed himself up and donned his armor quickly, taking up his sword and stalking out of his tent. If he was going to be awake after all, he might as well train.

Trixie watched the horizon from the top of the Ribault, enjoying the cool night air as she took her turn at watch. She slowly twisted one of the screws on her new whip, adjusting the strength of the thermal components minutely. With a nod of satisfaction, the sniper returned it to her hip, taking out her crossbow to perform similar maintenance to it. Before she could begin, however, she heard a muffled shout and, a few moments later, watched as her boss forced his way out of his tent scowling. She watched as he went to one of the duo of Golden Guard on watch, Rogers if she remembered which stood where, and said something to him. Within moments the both had moved to a small clearing among the tents that made up their camp, taking stances and quickly starting to fight.

“Somethings up the boss’s ass,” she muttered to herself, returning to her maintenance. As she worked her thoughts turned to the man in question, the one who had had the opportunity to take her as a prisoner and have her hanged, only to turn around and turn her into one of his lieutenants. Oh sure, she was still closely watched, same as Shelly and her crew, but she still had more freedom than she thought she ever would again. And, with recent events in mind, she sure as hell still felt like a proper bandit. Slaughtering a whole village worth of people just cause they refused to play ball? Hell! That was bandit 101! “Helps that the boss is a better looker than old bastard Shin Kicker too.” She blushed red as her thoughts turned to the, less than clothed form that Edmund had taken after his battle with Brainstorm. Even while cut nearly in half the man still had the gall to look good, though even she would admit the blood might have made it a little better for her.

“Again!” Speak of the devil, Edmund’s voice echoed slightly as he called at the man he was fighting. A quick glance told her that the Golden Guard had been put on his ass, handily too from the look of it. She snorted, watching as the battle began once more and took in the sight of the Edmund fighting at what seemed to be his peak. Her hand shifted to the collar she now wore around her neck, an item she had wanted to tease him with, and tugged it gently, biting her lip as she stared at him. She watched as he once more took his opponent down quickly, another call of again coming soon after, and, as her watch continued, she found that it wasn’t the horizon her eyes were drawn to anymore.

Ezrin Thorne
Turn 6

1694055522657.png

Ezrin Thorne hums to himself, listening to a piece of classical music from a bygone era his new office had given him the means to acquire. He was inspecting the new faceplate he'd installed upon his suit, adjusting it some to make sure it wen with the new outfit he'd adopted as the Director of the New America Psionic Agency. It had been surprisingly easy to talk that bloated oaf, Rottenburst, into supporting this operation. Even now, he had found a new batch of psionics to teach and indoctrinate. New America needed guidance and it would suit Ezrin's vision to be that guiding hand at this time.

Big Brother was out of reach, leaving him off balance after the Tithe War and the discovery of something horrific going on in Tolius. His vision could not be achieved without people to live in it. This had forced his Djinn plans to seriously redirect towards infiltrating and becoming part of this New America that that odd robot known as Brainstorm was apparently pursuing. It was oddly amusing seeing a robot being the source of a cultural revitalization. It also created challenges as he could not influence or control machines.

There would be time in the coming days to seek his larger plans, but New America was prime to be influenced. To seek out and build up a powerful psionic cabal that he could utilize to control events as needed while allowing those ungifted their seeming freedom. The Old World wasn't going to come back like it had been, there would be editting and adjusting. People like Rottenburst would be tolerated until the system was strong enough to crush them, or his cabale made the necessary moves to excise them like the tumors they were upon this rebuilding socity. Patience was key now, he had survived too much to rush headlong into oblivion.

The Tree Children
Turn 6
Arnalia Arnalia

News ran rampant within Greensville, not just about New America and its most recent acquisition of the 'tribe of Anaya' and some massive creature, but of the fall of the slave city of Tolius and the defeat of the dreaded Red Queen... the entire area of Tolius was said to be overrun by mindless creatures of flesh that seemed near impervious to bullets or blade and were content on 'absorbing' any remaining life.. There was a lot of fear among the mutants on when the Flesh Horde would move and in what direction. Most dearly hoped they went north, attracted by the much larger concentration of life in Vicksburg within the flats, but.. what if they came south? Could they hold against the monsters that devoured a power like the slavers of Tolius?

Jobs, as such, were plenty, although many were low paying and certainly not worth the time of flowna or her people, but there were a few that caught her attention:

Scout Tolius
The Council of Greensville is hiring only the best and bravest to scout Tolius and find out more about the Flesh Horde, especially, on where they are going. If accepted, there is a hefty bonus for a special assignment.. Details on the special assignment will not be granted until this contract has been signed, but the rewards will be tremendous. Must be completed by end of Turn 7

Into the Emerald Lake
The great explorer Remo has built a grand boat that, he believes, will get to the center of the Lake.. The great beast within has sunk and destroyed any such attempts in the past, but this time, Remo is confident his ship, the S.S Unsinkable, will make it and finally be able to explore the large pre-war facility that has laid untouched by bomb or looters... Remo is offering a generous cut of the spoils and an upfront payment of scrap dependent on size of mercenary group... Life and Health insurance not provided, must sign wit saying entered of own free will and relatives will not seek justice or vengeance if killed or devoured by the Emerald Beast. Must be accepted and done this turn.

Missing People
Following the failed siege by the mercenaries, many people of Greensville, especially children, have gone missing.. The local guards are bewildered and overwhelmed by the request and so are seeking outside assistance. Payment will be given based on results. Best done as soon as possible if able.

Note: You may accept a quest and do a single one with the same spent action so long as you have the movement to get to the needed place. You may accept as many of these task as you want so long as you get them done on time.

Drones
Work on the drones begin, their advancement into Industrial Tech is put to immediate use as they begin to work on these great scouts.. well, normally it would, but the pixies keep 'stealing' and 'borrowing' vital parts and there is a large debate between how much control they should give the pixies vs how much should be automated and remote.. What comes out is... not a drone...

But The Tree Children have, somehow, failed into success, instead of drones, they have managed to create miniature planes that the pixies can pilot. While they don't have the sheer recon ability of actual drones, they can still preform this duty, and their combat ability is markedly improved.

Pick One
Triplanes
Triplanes are fairly slow, by plane standards, but they are the best 'scouts' of all the three planes. These tiny, utterly adorable, planes come armed with either four smgs or two assault rifles that are attached to the wings and internally fed ammunition. Each triplane requires 3 Scrap and 1 component, must be piloted by a pixie.

Biplanes
Biplanes are incredibly agile, while not as quick as monoplanes, they are faster then triplanes. Their real perk comes in the form of their sheer mobility gaining the 'Dodge' rule as they can be frustratingly hard to hit. Each biplan comes with four smgs and 'bombs' [grenades] they can drop on enemies as they fly over. 3 Scrap and 1 component each, must be piloted by a pixie.

Monoplane
Monoplanes are very quick and can carry heavy firepower, but they are not as agile as biplanes or as good at scouting as triplanes. Each monoplane can either come as a bomber or a attack plane. Bombers have a nose mounted LMG and each one carries a single 'large' bomb they can drop on the enemy [one bomb per plane per scene] while the attack planes have four assault rifles, two on each wing, and are meant for strafing runs. 4 Scrap and 2 Components each, must be piloted by a pixie.

Once picked, that option is forever 'unlocked' for your faction. You can construct as many as you can afford, if you wish, this turn as part of this research action. You may elect to decide how many you build after getting paid from any jobs you decide to take and finish.

The Deliverers
Turn 6
Auriel Maza Auriel Maza

The clearing of the old facility goes rather well especially with the help of the flock as they are better able to secure their backs and flanks from surprise attacks or tunneling attempts. The gremlins, themselves, don't prove that hard of a foe to defeat especially when forced through chokepoints and into automatic fire [or the large not-so-tender mercies of the tesla cannon which does, occasionally, blow chunks into the walls and doors but is seen as a viable option for removing them with gusto. The largest of the gremlins, their leader that is dubbed 'spike', is brought down thanks to a combo of Abigail distracting it with a rousing speech and Camael teleporting onto its back and shanking it repeatedly in the throat like some kind of demented toddler spilling its strange colored blood all over the dirty floors. With the observation post cleared, Camael is able to bring the surviving members out of their stasis pods.. They are extremely confused, and more then a bit demoralized when they discover what happened to the rest of the crew, but are resolute to see this job finished especially if it possibly ends with this world being blown to bits and the taint of humanity ended with it [They say this last part rather quietly so that the humans in their company don't take offense]. Gain 40 Technicians

The Technicians aren't great in a straight out brawl, as they lack the advanced military training of the Rangers, but they know their way around a rifle if push comes to shove and they are great with repairing, maintaining and modifying technology. Most of the station is checked and double checked for supplies, they aren't likely to discover any truly great weaponry as this was an observation post and there was always fears of it being discovered and compromised by humans, and so most advanced weaponry of their kind simply isn't present. But they do still find:

Gain:
1 Crate of Alien Blasters [Advanced Laser Pistols]
2 Crates of Tech Armor [Advanced Light Armor... Deliverer Sized]
1 Plasma Charge
1 Phase Sword [Exotic]
3 Units of Premium Materials
15 Units of Scrap
8 Components
2 Advanced Components

Work on repairs goes... well, it starts off well. The Technicians are confident with the right tools and supplies, they can repair the damage to most of the Observation Post. Repairing the damaged doors, halls and getting the observation post 'livable' will cost 6 Scrap and 3 Components but would turn it into a near impregnable vault that would take extreme effort and firepower to break into.

But there was a major issue.. the Orbital Facility is down and so it won't be able to be used as it once was [scanning and watching the surface of the planet] but if they are able to get the main reactor stabilized, they may be able to use it to keep an eye on a few choice provinces. Which is fine and within expectations, what wasn't was the critical state of the reactor [Crit Fail].. It needed to be repaired, and fast, else it would go erupt and erase this plot of land and a sizeable portion of the nearby ones in a massive release of dark matter... The technicians wrapped their brains around it and found a few solutions:

Decision Point
1. Grab the shit and leave this place to blow.
2. 'Sacrifice' 20 Technicians and a advanced component to keep the reactor stabilized [The techs don't die, they just get a new job in 'constantly maintaining this reactor']
3. ... Attack and try to kill the Fellow Humans to 'recycle' their parts and that of their vault to stabilize the Reactor. This option is dangerous as the Fellow Humans are very powerful, but it is an option. [This will be resolved as a 'free' action next turn]

The Duchess's Legion
Turn 6
Dest Dest

Trouble sleeping could imply many things, most often stress... Or perhaps it was the gut wrenching screams of a child as they sobbingly cry themselves to sleep every night, bound and watched by heavily armored monstrosities.. Likely a bit of both. The Golden Guard were as remote and emotionless as they always are, but the squires.. those squires that fought and bled and became knights, was this what they bled for? Most people in the duchy dream of becoming a knight. To move up the social caste, to become a warrior in gleaming armor defending home, kin and honor, but how much honor was there to have in the Wastelands? How much honor was there in what had happened to them and what they had been forced to endure? But, the old squires, now Knights Celestials, endure their work with grim determination, but they are often seen gripping their holy vials and whispering prayers under their breaths.

They all understood the price of failure, although perhaps, none as much as Edmund.. At any moment, the Golden Guard could strike. The moment the Duchess deemed him a failure, the would descend upon him. Those glaives that had fought and protected his life in the past could be the things that finally took it.. But what use was there in worrying? He had a small amount of time. Not much. But with his actions in Yilo, he had secured the support of Xavier, and very likely, secured Xavier's ascendancy to the throne, but that was an issue for the future, if Edmund had one. Tabitha demanded victory, so a fight would need to be found. Luckily, the waste was filled with such chances, although there was a few hiccups..

They found three possible targets, two right here in Yilo, but he had gotten a stern warning from Ren that they needed to leave Yilo. Now. When questioned, she simply said, 'The Tide is coming'...

Decision Point

1. Raid Slavers Bay
2. Jarro Chattel Run
3. Cultist of the Rock

More Info on the choices below

1. Slaver's Bay is a large moving raider settlement in Yilo. The largest. Immense in side and brimming with raiders and slavers who take vehicles out into Yilo to raid other Drifters for slaves and loot. Slaver's Bay is almost certainly too large and powerful for Edmund's small group to attack directly, but perhaps they could find some way to sneak attack or infiltrate.. lots of slaves and glory to be won, but they'd need to act quickly as the Tide is coming...

2. Jarro wasn't just home to Grox, it was home to a whole lot of slaves. While many ranch hands were free men and women, migratory workers, even more were slaves. Used as cheap disposable fodder for the cattle [and if anyone has seen how many limbs are lost trying to feed grox, they'd start to see why that may be a desirable thing to have]. With New America banning slavery, rather then freeing them, many have taken to smuggling them out in massive convoys to sell else.. hitting such a convoy could prove useful in achieving their goals.

3. Rumors of a powerful cult in the Rock has been found. It seems they come from further south, the Abyss, but have come to the rock to launch raids into the surrounding areas and are known to have giant, strange animals and creatures at their beck and call..

Jarro Chattel Run

The Slavers are caught unprepared as they are crossing the plains of Jarro. They had expected a safe travel as they were certainly large enough to be too large a threat for random cattle rustlers or bandits to want to take a swing at, and with New America building sweeping construction projects, many of the 'main roads' were well patrolled.. But they were wrong. Near the border, they were bombarded with mortar and tank fire, harrassed by light vehicles. Perhaps, if they had time, they could have rallied or formed a defensive square, but their leadership kept getting picked off by a damned accurate Sniper. Pushed to the break they retreated to the only high ground in sight but were ambushed by Edmund and the dismounted infantry who unloaded into them with machinegun fire.

Edmund's forced suffered only cosmetic damage as some of the returning small arms fired scuffed a few paint and scratched some armor, but it was nothing of real note. The artillery rounds and heavy fire had to go somewhere to cause damage and break up the convoy, and Edmund had a choice, the slaves or the cargo trains. Giving the order, the cargo train was obliterated but the slaves spared.

After the battle was over, the Legion went about clearing the wreckage and gathering survivors.. 82 Slaves are saved from the convoy, the vast majority of them. That is quite the achievement. Those slaves are convinced to join Edmund [Inspiring] and he would still have plenty left after sending some back to the Duchy [So if you fulfil her obligation, your net gain is 42 slaves]. Sadly, the cargo train was truly obliterated. They dig through the wreckage and comb the lands, but only gather up 8 Scrap and 3 Components.

The head of the slaver chief could be claimed as a trophy if desired. Its value is questionable, but it is better then nothing.

EDIT:

Trying to find 'hackers' isn't easy. Wandering about and simply asking for them doesn't usually make them appear and they rarely hang out in pubs like standard mercenaries... But somehow, someway, Edmund manages to catch someone's attention..

As a message appears on his handiman,

"You've searched, but it was you who was found. What is it that you seek?" - Zero

Rohgen

1673970544327-jpeg.1058255

Personality
Intelligent/ Crafty/ Tough

Special Ability
Pulse
When he pulses, he sends out waves of radiation that will harm nearby enemies but heal other radioactive mutants. Rohgen can control when he does this, he can do three 'small' pulses or one 'big' pulse a turn.
Queenslayer
While in a duel, Rohgen may reroll all hit rolls. 7+ to hit [so will need some sort of boost] can cause Devastating Wounds.

Heave
A massive two handed power sword, it is immensely heavy. Without power armor or some other strength enhancing means, it is a pain to use. -2 to Initative Rolls but it will cut through nearly any armor in existence and its sheer size makes wounds from it devastating. A single hit capable of cleaving through multiple targets [6s to hit explode].

15 Reavers
Reavers are 'lower' on the X-Raider totem pole, but they are vicious and eager to prove themselves to their brothers and sisters. Often used as the 'bulk' of the force, they are armed with sickles coated in their blood [Poisonous] and pistols. They don't mind being 'buried' for long periods of time as they wait for prey to walk over them where they will spring into action, engaging them in close combat and seek to overwhelm them with numbers and fear.]

End Goal
Reach, secure and rule the Deadlands

Infamy
Known

Armaments
A Ripper Glaive
4 crate of Pistols [Can be consumed to give a unit pistols or sold. Pistols can be used in the off-hand for melee fighters]
2 crate of Rifles [Can be consumed to give a unit rifles or sold]
Grenades
1 Cases of Penetrator Rounds, before an event, you may 'consume' a case to give a unit Penetrator Rounds for it. [Penetrator Rounds do as they are advised, tear through all but the heaviest of armors and can even punch through light cover and still be lethal to whomever is behind it. ]
4 Mortar
5 Unique Serrated Melee Weapons [you may pick what form they take]
1 Crate of Pre-War Combat Armor
1 LMG
Laser Musket
The musket has a large crank on the side of it that can be turned to increase its power. Every turn, you can either fire it or spend the turn cranking. If you spend the turn cranking, the power of the shot will increase.. There is nothing stopping you from spending 4 turns cranking for a ludcrious shot.[Power eventually drains, so can't say you cranked it 40 times pre fight]
DragonFire Ammo: Dragonfire ammo is incendiary ammo which has the tendency to light people shot by it on fire. It grants a small penetration increase as well. Slap it on a HMG for extra hilarity.

Vehicles
Junkers [2]
Junkers are old beaten up cars that have some armoured plating. Good for transporting some guys quickly, but not really suited for combat.
Dirt Growler [4]
Dirt Growlers are thin motorcycles that preform great off-road. They don't have the raw speed of other, bigger, bikes, but their handling and control is good.

Spoils
1 Scrap Units
2 Components
1 Adv Component
2 Units of Moonshine [Luxury good, can trade or consume yourself for morale boost]
2 Slave Collar Units [These collars are 'broken', you may attempt to repair them, or they can be used as improvised explosives]
2 Units of Psycho
4 Units Jet
1 Unit of Slow-Mo
1 Unit of Premium Spare Parts [They may be used in place of any missing ingredient for the sake of crafting, or used to boost a crafting attempt]
2 units of Plastic Explosives.
2 Great Clubs
1 HMG
Rope: Never need it until you do, and then, you'll wish you had it.
Comm Beads - 2: Gives a unit Com Beads allowing them to freely communicate with each other, and those with radios, in a short distance.
Black Lumber - 2 Unit: From the weeping trees within the Green. This is some of the highest quality lumber in the wasteland and is only available in the Green. Very good for crafting and exceptional for building.
A crate of Silverite Ore: a tough and beautiful metal that is stronger then steel but much lighter. Excellent for crafting or building. Rare, expensive, valuable.
Stimpacks: Can be used to attempt to stem blood flow or get someone back on their feet. Stimpacks can be used one time a scene [you do not lose the item], but they will grant +1 to a death save, this can be used to grant a death save even if the unit wouldn't be able to normally get one [within reason].
Spool of Razor Wire: Does whatever Razor Wires does. Which is block paths, cut people and otherwise be very unpleasant

Turn 6

The Green

Rohgen turned the crank of his newest weapon slowly, almost playfully, the long barrel of his rifled musket casually aimed at a recently revived 'Reaver'. Fresh from their foray into the toppled Toulais, the X-Raiders had completed their job quite easily, though perhaps not to expectations. There was a subtle whir from his Springfield substitute. Glancing at the barrel of the musket, and then the red clad Reaver, Rohgen pulled the gun upwards, a thin laser spewing from the weapon and into the sky.

Rohgen paused for a moment, ignoring the curious glances of his mutants, and picked out another target. A group of Rattlers checked over the Dirt Growlers bought from Greenville. Pointing at a fella in a helmet with a small spike protruding from the top of it, Rohgen cranked his Laser Musket again. All around him, the X-Raiders were adorned with historical headgear, again bought from Greenville. It had been a spur of the moment thing by Rohgen himself at the end of the trip, a maligned masquerade for his men to help add to the illusion he so diligently tried to maintain. That of the ancient dead returned from the grave. Or perhaps it was just his unique brand of madness.

There was a whir from his Musket, as Rohgen adjusted his grey confedere with his free hand, tilting it downwards to cover his gaze at Ann's approach. Wearing her special suit of skin, it's flesh claimed from her former captors, Ann had gouged, cut and burnt what remained of their faces to sate her rage. She stood before her boss, in her costume warbonnet, waiting for his attention. Ann's eyes flicked to the left at the gurgle from beside Rohgen.

Hunched down next to him, was the newly hatched creature, The Beast of Rohgen, though at it's current size it was more a man. A horribly mutated abomination of one. With green bones glowing under pustule layers of clear skin, the Beast mirrored it's 'father' mutation. Tilting it's head in confusion at its father seeming disappearance behind his hat, the creature eye's shifted uncomfortably in it's head. A click and a whir beside it recovered it's disposition as another beam pierced the sky, stronger and wider than the last, mesmerising the Beast.

"Rohgen...?" said Ann, only to have the musket aimed at her.

Rohgen cleared his throat. Ann's nostrils flared for a moment. "Queenslayer..?" she stated, with reluctant pride.

Rohgen lifted his confedere. "You're supposed to address me as 'Colonel' Rohgen" he tentatively grumbled "But Queenslayer will do just fine"

Rohgen chuckled, turning the crank faster of his laser, causing it to click, as he remembered his duel with the Power Armour clad monarch who now hung from his banner. "What exactly happened in Toulais...? " Ann ventured "No-one seems to want to talk about it..."

Rohgen ran his tongue over his glowing teeth. "What is there to say? We came, we saw, we conquered..."

"What about 'the Flesh' then?"

Rohgen furrowed his brow, a soft whir emanating from his hands. "Huh? That footnote?"

'Footnote' Ann mouthed to herself in some confusion. Rohgen stood up on his own two feet, his gun still primed at her "Victors write the history books, Ann" he stated with a sarcastic smile "And I'm growing us a legend out here in these wastes. To us, The Flesh is something else but to everyone else... Why not one and the same?"

Rohgen cackled, whirring the crank of his gun even faster to Ann's continuous incomprehension. "Don't worry your annoying little head about it, 'Chief'. The 'Colonel' has got this all figured out. Today's a day of celebration!"

He fired the Laser Musket into the air, the beam threefold in it's brilliance. Raising to it's haunches, the Beast began to glow, it's veins pulsing within untoward energy. Like a child, it copied it's parent and looking to the heavens the Beast illuminated the sky with it's own green beam from within.

The camp went silent at the creature's display. Ann took a step backwards but Rohgen could only grin from ear to ear. "That's my...." He stepped towards the Beast, looking downwards "...Girl!"

"Daddy's going to spoil you rotten!"

Adam - Turn 6

Order 1 - Joining New America
Adam was able to secure the support of Brainstorm, the next step would be to contact the President to gain official government support of New America. Of course, Adam will not solely depend on Brainstorm's sponsorship. He needed more to utterly convince the President so he prepared a sizeable 'donation' as well as some... maneuvering regarding a certain caravan heading to the Republic.

- Adam plants evidence of "Anti-New America" propaganda and forged plans to hijack the President's caravans on the Natives. Evidence of thug in Detail#3 being a member of the Natives will also be planted.
- The Hermit Order gets evidence of the Natives scouting out the Caravan, both fake and real.
- Agents are ordered to pretend to be Native thugs and track a key personnel of the caravan. The tracking is to be made discreet but at the same time allow the target to notice he is being tracked. There will also be a case where upon return to his home, the personnel will notice it was ransacked as if someone was trying hard to find something. Then... the tracking abruptly disappears which the personnel must obviously notice. Then there exists a video recording of a thug (agent) beat up and tied to a chair. As well as evidence that this thug was the one that ransacked his home.

Order 2 - Consolidate the Underworld
"Respect? No, they will learn to respect and fear us. There is a reason I had Tolius dancing over my palms." Adam says as Agent 001 delivered a report on the Underworld. The agent nodded in agreement, "We've also confirmed a massive disorganized remnant of Tolius present in Vicksburg. They're particularly active in the underworld as well."

"Perfect. They need to be consolidated and put under the control of... 004, Biggs, he has the reputation to command them. They can form the fourth major group in the underworld. Have this done as soon as possible and have all our forces on standby."

- The Wicker Boys, the Gunners, and the soon to be formed Tolius Group are ordered to standby to strike the Natives and absorb their assets.
- The Hermit Order Forces are ordered on standby to strike on key personnel and leadership of the Natives

Turn 6
Djinn
Crocodile Crocodile

Zora may have been one of the only people capable of exploring Tolius between her natural skill in stealth, her ability to teleport to get out of dangerous situtations or safely avoid obstacles and her flesh powers allowing her to remain, mostly, unnoticed, Zora is able to penetrate deep into Tolius and the situtation looks.. Grim. Countless hordes of Flesh Abominations wander the waste and the ruined city of Tolius. Some look vaguely human, the screaming faces of the citizens stretched over the new forms while other seem incredibly large and misshapen. Great ogres and giants of flesh, and Zora had the.. great joy of watching one be born. The flesh abominations stumbling towards one another, merging into a great ball of pulsating meat for a few minutes before the dreaded giant emerged, the ground shaking with every step it took. At first, Zora thought they lacked unity, they all seemed to wander aimlessly, that was, until a single Yort, a mutated deer, tried to bolt across the plains. As one, the Flesh Abominations turned and bolted after it, crossing the ground in a terrifying pace before they caught it and consumed it..

The buildings of Tolius were not spared this fate as they were covered in pulsating flesh and the palace, or at least, what was once the palace is now a giant pulsating bag of flesh, almost.. like an egg. While Zora may not know, exactly, what she is seeing, every part of her knows that if that 'egg' hatches, the Wasteland would be lost.. and in the place where her gut used to be, she can feel it is very close to hatching.

... Did she dare enter further into the city to find more?

Decision Point
1. Fall back and keep observing.
2. Enter deeper into the city of flesh.

Zora pushed deeper into the city and staying hidden becomes increasingly difficult as she avoids stepping on any of the veins of flesh that stretch across the roads or avoids detection from the flesh abominations, large, small and tiny... She creeps further and further along the tunnels of the mines echoing with the groans and shuffling of more and more abominations... How many of them were in this place? It seemed endless, was it even possible to face this many head to head and hope for victory? She turned a corner, drawing closer to the egg, when she came face to face with a ball of pulsating meat and teeth. It grew in size as multiple eyes began to sprout upon the surface, each one focused on her. The ball split into two as a massive howl left its chunky lips as it surged forth to swallow her hole..

There was a brief moment where the teeth closed around her suit before a loud pop echoed through the city and Zora teleported away...

But it was a blind teleport, done in the moment, in near panic.. and came crashing down onto a wooden table in a dark room, the loud crash sending another jolt of panic as she waited in the dark for sounds of movement.. But there was only silence. Zora held up her arm and brought out her blade to light up the nearby area... Weaponry lined the walls as crates upon crates of ammo surrounded her.. She was in some sort of hidden armory, perhaps the Red Queens? Or the Rebels? Hard to say... but something at the center drew her gaze.
The top of a missile sat standing, tall and proud.. A very, very large missile. One that was familiar. One of those that ended the world..

Zora was face to face with a nuclear device.. She had no way to activate it or carry it with her.. But she know knew where it was, at the heart of this doomed city.

Recruitment

NAPA recruitment goes very well, they are able to find 12 Disciples that are taken in and taught the basics of Psionic power. These Disciples, much like the ones previously obtained, pick a single known Psionic Power to specialize in. They may join together to cast a power or use their power to amp a stronger psionic nearby..

...

...

...

Or they would if Ezrin hadn't managed to get a breakthrough with every single one of them.
