Dice Into the Wasteland

Ezrin's psionic scouting had revealed much and yet not nearly enough. A 'tidal wave' of thoughts and souls, hundreds, at last. Perhaps more, and 'Veera Dragonbreaker' did not sound like an easy foe, unless he was supremely lucky and it was merely a name someone gave themselves to inflate an ego, but considering the raw fear all the souls had for them, that seemed doubtful. Still, even if all those souls just had knives, could they even hope to hold this fort? Should they bother? But if they abandoned it, it was doubtful this 'Tithe' would stop. They'd push on, and with Roggar under their belt, they'd likely bring more and more of their forces. If they didn't stop them hear, could they be stopped at all in the future? The battle here likely meant far more then just Roggar, if they won, they would stop the Tithe in its tracks, if not.. If they failed, the floodgates could be opened and who knows how far they would sweep into the Wasteland before anyone could stop them...

Two units of Lumber and One Unit of Concrete Mix are used to turn the Scrap Fort into a real Fort. The scrap walls are torn down, replaced by a concrete and wooden wall. The base of the wall is solid concrete with large, thick timber emerging from the base to complete the top, large enough and wide enough for people to walk on. The gate is replaced with a sturdy wooden one that is covered in thin metal plates to keep it from burning. Towers are erected along the wooden wall to help give a eagle eye view over the nearby area.. A ditch is dug with large wooden spikes slammed into the ground to impede any potential climbers.

The fort is considerably more resistant to rams, bombardments and other such means of siege. This small action could mean the difference in holding out long enough for Nigel and Anaya to arrive... Or it may just get them to the point of failure, but either way, the die was cast.

The radio call was sent out to lure people to 'Buddy', if it would work or not.. Well, that was hard to say. Many would assume it was an ambush, but many more would come anyways, even to the desolate land like The Rock, in the hopes of finding a vault to loot. To find a pristine vault was to find a fortune, one single score could set up a scavenger band for life, but... Was this really okay? It wouldn't just be desperate scavengers and raiders, colonist.. Children, may be brought to examine the vault. How many souls was Theo willing to feed to the vault to get his reward? What happened if no one came? Would 'Buddy' somehow strike out at Theo now that it knew who he was? Could it reach beyond the vault? Would Theo sleep better if he knew the truth or would it only be worse? There were some nights that Theo was Overseer Crawley again, walking the halls with his wife, eating chicken alfredo.. And every morning he'd awaken, alone, himself. Perhaps it would have been better if he had stayed in that dream. If it worked or not, he'd know soon [Turn 4, you will be.. updated on this].

But regardless of how that played out, Theo had another issue to look into. Morse Code had been sent out that he had deciphered, it was impossible to say how old it was, but even if it was new, it had now been a few weeks since it had gone out.. It was doubtful that if anyone was alive, were still breathing if they truly needed help that badly. The coordinates brought them very close to The Rock, the massive hunk of stone that dominated the horizon and felt 'off'..
They arrived to a destroyed, ransacked caravan town, tents torn and ripped, metal shacks and caravans devoid of life, but the goods still there.. Did Theo wish to investigate or did he leave sleeping ghost lie?

Traveling to the dimples went fine, they nearly blundered into something, but their skills at stealth helped them avoid whatever mess that was. The Dimples was a... daunting place. On clear days, they could see the faintest sight of massive orbital stations hanging overhead.. moments before the sky turned a blinding white as beams of energy came crashing down to the ground. For a time, Nigel thought if they walked between the craters, they'd be safe, after all, surely they had set firing patterns! This plan was quickly scrapped when a laser turned three carters into one massive crater by falling right between them..

The 'ground' is nearly all solid black glass, the silica in the sand being melted and fused together by the intense heat and Nigel can see his reflection where he walks.. As they walk the Dimples, they look for.. well, they weren't sure what. Something to help them against the Tithe? But what would be out here to help them? No people, as far as they could imagine, called this place home and the only 'things' they had seen were massive spider like robots that crawled around carrying massive hunks of metal to who knows where. It was deep in their thoughts, that the ground started to shake and they spotted it.

A massive space station, fallen from orbit sometime in the past, spread out across the horizon. Perhaps there was something in there, at the very least, loot that could fund the establishment of a new base somewhere nicer..

.. But as they got closer they noticed something, there was a very, very, VERY large robot standing before the fallen satellite. What did they do? Did they try to fight, or sneak past, the colossal robot or did they go back the way they came and think of another solution? [Handled in Discord if you wish to test your luck]

A promising base location had been found with gold veins inside of it, really, it was a dream come true for the aliens with a geological inclination. Sure, the outside was surrounded by large, aggressive wildlife and there were shadowy figures lurking about that they hadn't yet managed to spot, but those were minor details and the entire Earthling planet was full of danger, at least here they wouldn't be near the smelly, pink skinned creatures and their Gatorboys. Really, it was a win-win for everyone.

All they had to do was clear out the cave! The cave that was in a mountain range full of strange aggressive creatures, but surely there wasn't anything horrid in a cave full of gold! How could there be? Well, one way, or another, they'd find out as the small squad prepared themselves and ventured into the dark cave to clear out its denizens and make themselves at home. Still, at least, through sheer mathematical probability, the cave was likely to be safer then the outdoors. This would be the first, great step on their path of reclamation.

Action 1: Investigate the cave and clear it out. [Discord Event]

Action 2: Scavenge areas where 'Fellow Humans' conduct their.. work.

From 'Samantha' Camael was able to get a rough idea of where they conducted their work and tried to scan the area to see if he couldn't find any.. leftovers, a rather connotation. Finding where they did so was easy, trying to find bits and pieces left behind was much harder. Camael had the feeling that most of it was probably picked clean by the Earthlings that also lived in Howl, he managed to find a fairly pitiful Two Scrap, Two Units of Mystery Meat and Four Rudimentary Medkits

Adam - Turn 3

"Fuck." Adam tore off the map in the command table in anger. Daisy Duke and Papa Townsend has been taken out, but at what cost? 3 Decoders and 1 agent has fallen in this operation. It's a cost too great for the Hermit Order. Each loss of operative is painful when there's only so few of them. Adam tried to compose himself before pressing the button of the communication equipment in the HQ. "Splendid work, Team. Return to your posts and be on standby."

He slumped in the command seat as he massaged his temples. Despite the losses, the success of the operation finally allowed him to use his influence in the Red Queen's faction to it's fullest potential. Now, there won't be any bottlenecks and he will take advantage of this.

Movement:

Order 1: Operation: Family Ties Part 2
Carry out the Red Queen Operation against Rhea's Family

Order 2: A Darker Web
The Hermit Order further extends its influence deeper into the Red Queen's faction. This time, Rhea will use her influence to the maximum to aid in this endeavor.

Informants and agents will be made of significant characters in the Queen's faction through blackmail, bribery, and other schemes. The other agent in the Inquisition who made great contributions by providing information VITAL to the war efforts will be installed in the Prince's faction. Not only that, one of the unaffiliated agents will also be installed next to the Prince's slave girlfriend to manipulate her.

With everything in place and the Hermit Order's new influence, Adam would also find a way to politically attack Kira, reducing and possibly even eliminating her influence which would allow her faction vulnerable to be 'eaten'. At the very least, something that will distance her from the Red Prince and distract her from pursuing any actions against the Hermit Order.

Hermit Order
Turn 3
Kent Kent

It had been a frustrating journey, but finally, Adam and the Hermit Order had done it. They had slain Rhea's family and the new Inquisitor had feasted upon the flesh of her kin and grown stronger.. if not a bit unstable. With the bargain fulfilled, Rhea RIPley committed herself fully into Adam's employ, and in turn, had opened up great avenues into the Red Queen's faction for the future. It was a giant leap in their plans to pull the strings behind this wealthy, and powerful, province...

The Battle

The battle could have been rather catastrophic for both sides if it hadn't been for the Hermit Order. Not only had the Red Queen been informed of the Steel Legion Mercenaries that the Rebels had 'acquired' and planned to use to ambush them, they had even revealed, through Rhea, their grand plan. To enact a fighting retreat to lure the Red Queen, and her most elite forces, deeper into the mines before attempting to collapse them on top of her while they escaped, unharmed, through back tunnels recently dug by the slaves.. The battle turned into a one sided slaughter as the Steel Legion Mercenaries found themselves being ambushed by the Red Guard and the rebels to have to waste their great trap on 'worthless' slave soldiers as their own soldiers were caught and massacred as they made their ways out of, their believed, secret tunnels right into the awaiting arms of the Red Guard.

The only hiccup in the battle had been out on the fringe of the territory where Red Queen and Rebel forces had been engaged and, both, were set upon by 'glowing green skeletons'. The tales of the survivors were mostly dismissed as non-sensical, but rumors have spread of the terrifying creatures that had wiped out an entire company worth of Red Guard and an unknown amount of slave soldiers... Had a new threat arose in the region and should Adam be concerned? Or were they merely 'ghost stories' made up to cover their failure?

Rhea, and her contacts, were seen as 'heroes' and a true, Court Champion. She is deep in the Queen's favor enjoying not only her wild savagery but her seeming skill in more delicate matters... Thanks to the sacrifice of the noble Agent, who gave their life to protect Adam's rebellion connection, his spy network manages to endure... However, the Rebels security has been greatly increased as they are clearly planning some desperation play [Analyst]. Does Adam risk leaving his Agents in place to find it out or is discretion the better part of valor and he pulls them out before even more valuable agents are lost?

But, perhaps most importantly, the battle loot. Rhea was promised a large share of the loot, or a flat rate of Scrap, and had decided to go with the loot if victory was achieved.. and it was.

Battle Loot Gained:
One Crate of Assault Rifles
Three Crates of Rifles
One Crate of Shotguns
One Crate of Dynamite
One Grenade Launcher Machinegun [Heavy Weapon]
Eight IEDs [Improvised Explosive Devices]
10 Units of Scrap
12 Components
36 'Recaptured' Slaves.

Adam - Turn 4
Adam sighs as he looks at the map of Tolius at his table. They have succeeded, controlling a large part of the Red Queen's factions and manipulating the war, but at very very very great costs. Costs that would be very very hard to recover from. Each agent and decoders are worth dozens of soldiers and he has lost close to half of them in a single month. He didn't expect the great variable such as Daisy Duke.

The leader of the Hermit Order rubbed his temples as he sighs yet again. The sacrifices were necessary to further their plans. He kept repeating the sentence in his mind in an attempt to justify the losses. He then closed his eyes as he thinks that sacrifices may be needed yet again to carry out a decisive plan of eliminating the rebels and controlling the Red Queen's faction.

He has just thought of a bold yet highly dangerous idea and he must continue to refine this plan of his.

Order 1: Reinforcements
Adam, through Rhea and his other agents who by now along with the full influence of the Hermit Order, will convince the Red Queen to send reinforcements to Roggar to ambush the Tithe.

The Rationale for this was: The Tithe, along with the Steel Region, are responsible for the rebellion in Tolius, as well as providing weapons and training to the rebels. Now that they have been almost utterly defeated in the recent battle, it is time to strike one of them. To press the advantage, if not for revenge. This might teach them a lesson not to mess with the Red Court and could possibly see a decline in support for the rebels.

As for any concerns about redirecting the forces, the rebels have just suffered a significant and almost decisive defeat. They will be licking their wounds for many more months to come. If the Tithe is not stopped in Roggar, they will finally set their eye on Tolius and march here. They have already used the rebels as a way to weaken us before the arrival of their Vanguard.

Money is also requested to hire mercenaries. This force will be led by Rhea, Champion and Inquisitor of the Red Queen. Using the full influence of the Hermit Order, Adam would like to have Enrico Pérez, Captain of the Queen's Guard be sent out to lead the reinforcement as Rhea would be leading Operation 'Troll' (see Order #2).

Order 2: Preparation for Operation Troll (Adam's Gambit)
The rebels are preparing for the 'Final Plan' and Adam has little clue to what it is. However, he thought of a great idea. Instead of waiting for the situation to unfold and then reacting to it, why not force the rebels to make an action and reveal a decisive opening? Reinforcements will be sent to Roggar which means the forces of the Red Court will be divided.

This is a great opportunity to strike at the Red Court. An opportunity that the last remaining agent and the two Decoders in the Rebel Faction would plant in the minds of the Rebel Leaders. Furthermore, there are important details that the rebels must consider:
1. The Red Court has just won a massive victory. They must obviously be resting on their laurels and would definitely not expect the Rebels to strike anytime soon as they expect the Rebels would be licking their wounds. That is why they must be sending reinforcements to Roggar. If Enrico Perez is sent as reinforcements, this would mean the Queen has sent out her elites which would make this enticing for the Rebels. (Inversely, this would also act as better bait for the rebels and the Red Court would be aware of this. ONLY if they do send out Enrico Perez.)
2. Rumors were spread that if the forces of the Red Court emerges victorious in Roggar, they will bring back allied forces to finally deal with the rebels which makes it more imperative to quickly strike at the Red Court before their forces return.
3. If the Tithe is defeated in Roggar, this would mean the Tithe support for the Rebel factions would greatly decrease, if not cease. If not, then that would mean they would quickly march to Tolius which means the resting forces of the Red Court would mobilize yet again despite being wounded from the loss.
4. If the Tithe emerges victorious, wouldn't the faction of the Steel Legion supporting the rebels feel pressure? While they support the rebels, they wouldn't want the Tithe to fully absorb Tolius and its massive resources. So wouldn't they be more likely to support taking action quickly?

On the side of the Red Court, Rhea has proposed this bait operation to the Red Queen. Of course, there are whispers that the rebels are preparing for a 'final plan'. Instead of waiting for it then reacting which has so many variables, why not forcefully change the situation which would put the advantage at their side?

The Hermit Order will use the full influence they have on both the Red Queen and Rebel faction to initiate this plan.

This will be one of my orders next turn. This order will be for preparation instead. The Hermit Order mobilizes and contacts the Red Prince to get him to join them in their mission with the promise of putting him as the Red King. The Order also investigates the Queen, the forces at her personal disposal, and the layout of the palace. At the same time, a budget of 15 SU was allocated to compromise people in key positions for this operation. Carrot and stick, will also find ways to blackmail them and bribe them at the same time. Promises will be made for the new red court.

Meanwhile in the Rebel Count, the agents and decoders will continue to implant the idea of the attack as something they MUST do. Especially with the defeat of the Tithe.

Rohgen

Personality
Intelligent/ Crafty/ Tough

Special Ability
Pulse
When he pulses, he sends out waves of radiation that will harm nearby enemies but heal other radioactive mutants. Rohgen can control when he does this, he can do three 'small' pulses or one 'big' pulse a turn.

Wargear
Grenade Harness
The Grenade Harness is not an armour at all, really, more some he can strap to his chest. The grenade harness will allow Rohgen the ability to use Frag, AT, Incendiary, Smoke or Flash grenades whenever he wishes, in addition, he can pull the 'tag' on it to pull all the grenades on it and use it as one big, nasty bomb. Doing so will destroy the harness.

Shield Belt
An ADVANCED tech. This belt enables the user to put up an energy shield that will absorb incoming ranged weaponry. It is not capable of stopping slower moving objects, so will not stop melee weaponry from hitting out or in. When the shield belt is up, it 'will' stop ranged weaponry fired by the wearer as well. Particularly powerful weaponry can punch through the shield and still be lethal, enough 'damage' will cause the belt to overload and become unusable [for the rest of the event]

Weapons
Assault Rifle
Large scythe coated in his blood [Poisonous]

Pistol

Band Name
X-Raiders

Band Type
Raiders

Movement Speed

Perks
Mutant (Radioactive)/ Terrifying

Skills
Skullduggery/ Ambusher/ Intimidation/ Endurance

Manpower
25 Rattlers
Rattlers wear the bones of their victims and let them dangle off of them making a distinct 'rattling' sound when they approach, very effective when coupled with their image of glowing green bones at night. Rattlers love to get close and unleash devastating volleys from their double barrel shotguns and may fire [Both Barrels] for maximum devastation at the price of not being able to fire the next combat round. Along with this shotgun, they use bone clubs... best not to inquire where they got those..
23 Twice Dead
The Twice Dead are X-Raiders that have fallen in battle but, somehow, either through their mutation or Rohgen's powers, have risen to fight again. They are exceptionally [Tough], they have been in more then their fair share of scraps and can always be relied upon to finish a fight. The Twice Dead are a solid 'core' to any fighting force and are armed with rifles [Not Assault] and sickles coated in their blood [Poisonous]. You may either give them light scrap armor or keep them 'naked' [for the bonus fear in the dark]. You can decide if they are wearing armor or not before deployment.
5 Glowing Ones
Glowing Ones are unique X-Raiders that constantly produce a buzz of radioactivity. This will passively damage living units in range, every turn, but also provide light healing to allies. This ability is a 'lite' version of Rohgens however theirs is always on and cannot be turned off. When a Glowing One dies, it explodes sending vicera and bones flying about at incredible speeds which can prove lethal to everyone around. Glowing Ones are armed with assault rifles and sickles [Poisonous]

End Goal
Reach, secure and rule the Deadlands

Infamy
Rumoured (+)

Armaments
A Ripper Glaive
A crate of Pistols [Can be consumed to give a unit pistols or sold. Pistols can be used in the off-hand for melee fighters]
A crate of Rifles [Can be consumed to give a unit rifles or sold]
Grenades
2 Cases of Penetrator Rounds, before an event, you may 'consume' a case to give a unit Penetrator Rounds for it. [Penetrator Rounds do as they are advised, tear through all but the heaviest of armors and can even punch through light cover and still be lethal to whomever is behind it. ]
A Mortar
4 'Phosphorous' Mortar shells [Explode into clouds of white phosphorous]
1 Unit of Trip Wires
When someone trips them, grenade pins will be pulled or grenades will be dropped [depending on the situation in question] giving them a nasty surprise. Very effective when light is in slow supply or the prey is in a hurry. Very ineffective against animals. If you consume your crate of grenades for this, it will be gone however you will gain Trip Wire: Grenades you can give to any one unit instead. Each battle you may decide to use them as traps or as normal grenades.
1 Unit of Bear Traps
Bear Traps are large metallic circular devices that 'clamp' shut on anything that steps on them. While debilitating they are very rarely lethal. These traps are effective against animals but almost worthless against robots and other mechanical foes.
1 Unit of Caltrops
1 Crate of SMGs
2 Crates of Light Scrap Armor
5 Crate of Pistols
5 Unique Serrated Melee Weapons [you may pick what form they take]
1 Crate of Rifles
1 Crate of Pre-War Combat Armor
1 Crate of Swords
1 LMG

Spoils
9 Scrap Units
2 Components
3 Units of Moonshine [Luxury good, can trade or consume yourself for morale boost]
A Unit of Gemstones.
2 Units of Precious Metals [Gold/Silver]
9 Unit of Human 'Leather'
1 Unit of Monster Bones
4 Units of Beast of Roggar Feces [Although what use you could have for that is questionable. But who knows what properties it has?]
A broken tablet that is still 'on' and flickering, but it is nearly impossible to read through the cracks.
Beast of Roggar Egg. Every turn a roll will be made to see if it hatches. You may use it for whatever you wish, including consuming it, until it hatches. You may be able to get it to hatch faster if you can keep it warm.
15 Slaves
2 Slave Collar Units [These collars are 'broken', you may attempt to repair them, or they can be used as improvised explosives

Turn 4

Toulais

Rohgen crested the hill, giving a curt nod to the female Glowing One on watch as he approached the prisoners. Sitting in a huddle on the dusty plain, the fifteen slaves the X-Raiders had captured shifted around uncomfortably, their heads low. Their dreams of freedom had been crushed by Rohgen's band, as had their legs, the shattered remains a constant reminder. For most, their injuries had broken their spirits.

Rohgen smiled evilly as he recalled the slaves first few pathetic attempts; the humorous hobbling, the slug like crawling, the three legged race attempt! That was the best one! he chucked to himself. With each attempt Rohgen added another guard, till he finally punished them by cutting their meals to once a night.

At least that's what it probably looked like to them.

In actual fact, the X-Raiders were conducting an experiment, and the Slaves were the guinea pigs.

With their numbers cut down in the last battle, though the X-Raiders had given as good as they got if not better, a means to increase their group was becoming increasingly

apparent. With the growing mythos of the Undead's return to the land of the living, the band of Raiders could not recruit from outside sources, lest the deception be revealed. So a more creative solution was needed.

Nestling their captives away from their camp, Rohgen had ordered the Glowing Ones to monitor their captives. Highly radioactive, their fleshy cloaks and leather armour did little to hamper their radiation, their guises only served to unsettle and keep the ghostly illusion intact. Slowly Rohgen had increased the number of mutant monitors, and in turn the dosage.

Withholding food had been a recent step, to ensure the Slaves were ravenous before they ate, the glowing gruel a dish carved from the dead. Most were happy to eat, their meal the only thing the defeated Slaves could look forward too. Though some were more resistant, with one being the reason Rohgen had come to investigate in case the problem grew.

Struggling against her bindings, the slave nicknamed Ann Oying spat obscenities at her captives as she cried out for freedom. "Fight! Fight for your Freedom!" she shouted, looking left and right at her fellows, her lame legs twitching "We fought too long against the Red Queen to give up now!"

The slaves around her turned away. A Glowing One approached the shouting slave, food in hand "Get away from me!" she snarled, snapping her teeth at him, her arms bulging against her bindings. "Do not let yourselves become Slaves once again!" Ann roared.

The Glowing One growled back at her, tempering his ire as Rohgen snatched from him the bowl. Standing menacingly over Ann, Rohgen thrust the dish at her. Letting the phlegm sit in his throat, Rohgen's voice took on a low guttural tone "Eat" he rattled.

The Slaves visibly recoiled at the unknown, untoward voice, shocked to find their skeleton captors could speak. Shuffling away as best they could, Ann however remained firm. "F*ck You!" she barked, staring straight at Rohgen.

"EAT" Rohgen demanded once again.

"NEVER!" Ann tried to lift herself up in a show of defiance and hope to her fellow captives, her face and body straining with the effort.

Rohgen dropped to his haunches, and looked her in the eyes "EAT!" he howled, causing some of the scared Slaves to start sobbing.

Rohgen quickly grabbed Ann's face with his free hand before she could spit at him. The vein on his forehead throbbed like the steady glow of his radioactive body. Rohgen could feel his grip tightening, the temptation to snuff her out then and there growing by the second.

But a strong woman like her was a perfect subject for his experiment he quickly rationalised. And if he could break her, then so would break any future rebellions. Rohgen just needed another approach.

Seeing the fire in her eyes, Rohgens mind turned to what had stoked it. The forces in red... The Slaves had craved for their freedom but also for another thing no doubt. Something just as wanted but far more malleable...

He pulled the skin of his cloak tight around him, pointing at the elongated face of a Red Guard he personally skinned, his face now Rohgen's. "Re..venge" he rasped.

The surly slave looked at him, and for a moment Rohgen saw her steely gaze break as the mutants words seemingly sunk in. Sensing an understanding, Rohgen pushed the bowl closer "Then... Eat..." Rohgen hissed.

Oh shit! Oh shit! Oh no! Please no! Don't eat me! Oh shit! Ahhhh! Oh shit!
Dave

The fog filled air echoed with the high pitch wails of an insignificant and extremely uninteresting man by the name of Dave. He ran flailing his arms wildly as he was chased through the dense mist by a horde of angry radroaches he had disturbed while take a toilet break.

"Steve! Help me!" He cried out.

There was an audible groan, not a grunt, not a roar but the same sort of frustrated groan a man gives his wife after she asks him the same question for the thirteenth time. The only difference was that it came from a massive Gorillo, Steve. He wasn't Dave's pet and it'd be a stretch to even call him a companion, it was almost like the giant creature took pity on Dave.

Steve looked down as Dave rushed past him flailing away, needing a double take as he realised Dave's trousers were around his ankles. The frustration began to peak in the Gorillo as it let out a roar of annoyance. Steve began to pound the ground, shaking it violently and causing Dave to stumble. This continued for a few moments until each of the radroaches were nothing more than a liquid coating on the hands of the Gorillo.

Steve turned, scowling at Dave. He couldn't talk but his expression was very easy to read. Dave however, was completely oblivious, getting to his feet with a wide smile and a chuckle.

"Oh Steve, I get myself into some right messes. Thanks for helping me out," Dave said.

Steve's eyes bulged and his white fur twitched as he gritted his giant teeth.

"One of these days maybe I'll save you," Dave continued, letting out his trademark ridiculous laugh.

Steve almost fell over in shock, such was the insanity of Dave's comment. This was the fourth time time in a week Dave had to be saved from radroaches and the second time it happened with his trousers around his ankles. The guy was a menace to himself and others but there was just something that kept Steve around...even the Gorillo didn't know why he stuck around Dave but at some point, maybe, the pair would find out.

Actions 1. Dave will take the Sword of Catan and make Steve a necklace out of the heads of the fallen Fogmen for the Gorrillo to wear as the ultimate fashion statement and terror symbol.
2. Dave, Steve and Trev the Turret will search Nomer Coast for items/shelter/resources...whatever they find first.

The Last Amazonians

The sun was setting over the barren wasteland as a convoy of trucks rumbled down a long, dusty road. In the lead vehicle sat Theo who carefully scanned the horizon with his newly obtained powers. He kept a watchful eye on the road ahead, scanning for any signs of danger. Every once in a while he would see... things in the corner of his eyes. Yet, like the situation back at the caravan town, he was not certain what exactly he was looking at other than the fact that what he did see had occurred at one point or another. Behind him, the other drivers followed closely, their headlights casting long shadows across the road. Each vehicle was heavily modified, armored to withstand the harsh conditions of the wasteland.

As they drove, Theo could hear the crackle of the CB radio as the other drivers chatted amongst themselves, keeping each other company on the long journey.

"Hey Theo, you see anything up ahead?" one of the drivers called out.
"Nothing yet," Theo replied, his voice crackling through the radio. "But stay alert. You never know what's out here."

The convoy drove on for hours, the only sounds the roar of the engines and the whistling of the wind. Theo kept a close eye on his rearview mirror, making sure no one had fallen behind. His eyes continued to dart across the horizon. If there was anything that he had learned in the past few month, then it was the fact that looks could be deceiving and there was much out there that no one fully understood or could comprehend. Yet, they were there, and if one was not cautious... they could easily fall for some sort of trap in the process. However, today would not be that day as Theo spotted a familiar sight in the distance, Vicksburg. They had returned after what felt like years on the road.

---

Action 1: Enter Vicksburg to try and find a new job/opportunity that will come to me. Maybe they could find people who knew about Buddy, identify the Unknown Metal and/or open the electronically locked chest? Also, if possible, do a bit of shopping with the tons of scraps and components that they gained.

Reputation: Steady
Bargaining Skill

Action 2: Use the newly boosted Comms in the APC to listen in to the radio for any interesting info and opportunities.

Movement: Back to the Vault to pick up the boys and check up on Buddy. Maybe they have some of my mail.

Ezrin Thorne
Turn 04

Ezrin stood on the fortified wall of the stronghold, wondering if his allies would return in time. He felt a fool for letting himself be trapped here, fighting the Tithe on behalf lands he intended to dominate for building a better new world. Yet the Tithe was a blight upon his vision, his dream of a society superior to that of the one which had committed atomic suicide. That left him little option but to stand in their path. Perhaps his savior complex and ego had gotten the better of his. His dream too big for him to turn away in this moment.

"Do you think we will survive, master?" Zorin asked as she walks up to stand by her mentor.

"I don't know, perhaps this is the future telling the past to go away..." Ezrin mused grimly. "We are creatures out of time, Zorin. I would not be surprised if the world was not ready for us. It was barely ready for that monster we destroyed. If they breach in the end... I want you to take the tunnels and flee. Both of us don't need to die here. You are an amazing warrior and this world could use you even if it ends me."

"Master, don't say that. We have a vision! A purpose! This world needs to be shown a path of unity and progress! We sacrificed everything to be here!" Zorin protested, even shouting at her master which she rarely dared to do. He taught her well to keep her focus but this was a difficult moment.

"We have. But this Tithe, it is a poison. It is the worst of mankind. The worst impulses and drives. I can taste it in their minds. Fear, ambition, power. They cannot be permitted to become the fulcrum of society. These lands are rich in secrets. And our goal. I am prepared to die here, to kill as many of them as I can to stall the invasion. To kill their dream with my own. Humanity is beautiful. Humanity is terrible. But it is our species and we have to help guide it if we cannot control it. I will be the stone in the river, diverting the course. You must be prepared to be something new if I fall. Your potential is amazing," Ezrin said and turned, putting his hand on her shoulder as he leans in and presses the forehead of his featureless face to hers. The swirling energies in both faceplates synchronized in a moment of love and loyalty between master and apprentice.

"But... what am I to do without you if we fail?" Zorin asked in a sobbing tone.

"Be beautiful, Zorin. The world has enough terrible. Be light in darkness. Do that for me if we do not see each other again," Ezrin said and embraces her fully for a short time. The pair then part and Zorin numbly nods and goes off to practice and prepare. She also seeks to set her escape route in motion that her telekinetic skills could allow, where Ezrin's mental prowess could not.

The Djinn Puppets began to drill and scout, preparing for the combat and allowing Ezrin more time to master his fine control and guidance of his puppet horde. He was glad for the weapons seized from the Tithe at the very least. Realizing he would need every trick left, he opted to begin harassing the Tithe force with psychic whispers and screaming. A campaign of mental harassment to fatigue the soldiers. His intelligence gathering told him he could not challenge the fear of their commander. They would fight no matter what. His plan thus was to make them worse fighters, disrupt their ability to coordinate and fight as a unit. They could keep their fear. Sleepy and worn out troops fought worse and that fear could even lead to mistakes made in desperation.

Movement: Zorin will flee the battle via the tunnels if Ezrin is slain.
Action 01: Ezrin is drilling and preparing to fight the Tithe in a defensive battle with the fortress.
Action 02: Ezrin will use the poisons provided by Anaya to seed out poisoned stashes and then use his powers to encourage the Tithe forces to seize and consume them before the battle.

Brainstorm

Turn 4

The Dream is finally reaching the beginning of its fruition. New America now has two regions under its control. The Flatlands which is where the Capital of Vicksburg lies and now Amire which commands three entire villages and the majority of the former bandits that had been harassing them.

Though one of the villages had unfortunately been eliminated through the poor machinations of the would-be Tyrant, Edmund Wright having accidentally released a monstrous horde of undying creatures that from all accounts are difficult to put down. His allies had not known this, nor had his enemies, making it easier to sway many of the remaining bandit horde to the side of New America.

The Forces of New America had been laying in wait in order to take advantage of the situation based on how the battle of the Forces of The Duchy vs the Bandit Horde. Once both forces had their numbers thinned beyond any doubt of New America being able to crush them, the plan went into action to attack both of them.

Through a brilliant Speech from General Brainstorm, half of the Bandit Horde joined New America, while the other half joined The Duchy Forces due to an equally brilliant speech by Edmund. His speech would have been grander, but Brainstorm airing his dirty laundry for all the hear managed to injure his standing.

In a daring strike, the Army of New America put down the mutant half of those troops and incapacitated the ability for the enemy tank to fire.

From there, it was all decided in a duel between Brainstorm and Edmund and ended in victory for the General. Brainstorm felt much more capable in his capabilities to duel after that victory, almost as though it could be a path to gaining more intact forces of troops with less bloodshed. As many of those around are descendants of Americans, it would be most wise to give them the chance to join and only target their leaders in one on one combat.

Time would tell if this stance of his would stay or move away. But for now, it blazed within him from this careful victory.

The two surviving settlements have already begun to bristle at the rule of New America rather than that of The Duchy, though they hadn’t experienced true Duchy rule either and perhaps might have liked it less. But with new settlers arriving daily, soon those voices will lead the way towards proper integration. All in all, it was viewed as a huge win for New America. The virtues of this new state would win them over in the end, he was sure of it.

Soon enough, after Brainstorm can acquire a third region, it will be time to begin implementing an elected Governor in each region and a representative in the Congress that will emerge within Vicksburg.

But for now, it was time to consolidate the gains of these regions and build up forces. There are greater threats that lay in the interior of these lands and there also lies the threats of other outside Empires that would CRUSH New America in its infancy before it could grow to rival them.

—-----------------------

As Edmund has decided to forsake his homeland and serve New America instead of returning back to the Duchy, he has now been given the Rank of Lieutenant in the Army of New America.

Upon him proving himself under the New America banner, he could have a swift and meteoric rise in rank. Proof of ability and loyalty will need to be forthcoming for such to come to pass. But Brainstorm is confident that his once former rival will see the wonderful path that New America can provide. Perhaps he could even be rewarded with mechanical horses for his Knights. A path to greatness that could allow them to become Elite Forces of New America.

Having Edmund can be seen as a true boon as he would have insider information on how the Duchy operates and the general makeup of their military structure, something that Brainstorm is woefully under-knowledged about at present. But Brainstorm is a learning machine and ever seeks out new information when he can so that he can make the best and most tactful decisions.

A small ceremony was performed and there were light refreshments. The reception was cold due to the current situation in Amire, but these things will hopefully change in time, especially once the infrastructure is put into place and the people could see how much improved their lives will be as part of New America.

A much bigger promotion was given in the capital for Regina Thornton who for her continued exemplary service was promoted from lieutenant to Captain. She earned this during the fighting and being able to make sure that each and every one of her soldiers came out unscathed from the various encounters of the Wasteland so far.

Brainstorm in his true and natural form has been present and given a speech during the ceremony.

“It is due to the hard work and amazing work ethics that Captain Thornton has earned this promotion. It has not been an easy task serving under myself, but she has proved that she was more than willing to take up the task with ease and often going above and beyond. President Rottenburst realized that a woman like her had the gumption and the chutzpah to affect great change on the Wasteland in a positive manner. She is an example of a true American and with her and the soldiers like her, we will reform this land into a New America!” [Patriotic][Innovative]

—-------------------------------

Now that all the niceties had been taken care of, it was time to finally get down to business. The issue of the Chinese Spy Briefcase would be resolved one way or the other with the help of Galileo. He was built for this as one of his purposes and it was hoped that what was inside could help tip the balance of favor in the way of New America as the Wasteland was still a dangerous place and their success has only been through careful actions.

It was a shame that Uncle Ben was dead and would not be privy to what was inside the Chinese Spy Briefcase that he so carefully held within his shop. Something to consider was that if Edmund did not prove as useful to the New American cause, he would then have to answer for his crimes against Uncle Ben and his Trade Shop. But that most likely will not be an issue and could hopefully be something that would be swept under the rug.

He would also have to create some actual defenses for the factory to help protect it from any assaults in the future. With all his forces back in one place, this shouldn’t be too hard of a task, as long as his builders do not get distracted. Seeing how Edmund’s scrap fort held up, he would have to do even better for an organization such as New America.

Once fully settled, he could focus on construction of improved troops, acquiring more recruits and setting up infrastructure from The Flats to Amire. All before he could expand. Hopefully down the line, Rilk will be the next location added to New America.

Actions:
  1. Galileo [Hacking] [Code Breaker Suite] along with using a charge of Edmund’s Vault Tech Handiman attempts to hack the Chinese Spy Briefcase. After this event, the Handiman will be fully repaired so that it maintains full charge and functionality.
  2. A Fortress with a communications tower will be constructed around the factory using Brainstorm [Construction][Mechanical Engineering] along with 5 Retrofitted Crab Droids

Entry 4

Translated message to Duchess Karmine

I have failed you my Duchess, Amire has been lost to the forces of a robotic being called Brainstorm and I have been forced to bend my knee to the creature as my honor demands. During a siege orchestrated by the bandits that inhabited the region my forces held their own, killing many of our foes while losing few of our squires and none of my remaining Golden Guard. As the fighting began to draw to mostly melee for myself and the Guard, what I had hoped originally to be reinforces appeared on the horizon. These were the forces of 'New America', an attempt to restore the government of old whose military is led by the robot Brainstorm. I had originally believed that they had come to provide us reinforcements as I had previously worked with the robot, but instead he attempted to draw the bandits to his side and gain control of them to continue the attack. I was able to convince several to join myself and the remainder of my forces and battle began anew, at least briefly.

Before the battle could truly begin once more, I challenged the robot to single combat in an effort to preserve the lives of my forces. I borrowed the glaive of one of the Guard and laid out the terms of the duel. To death or surrender, should I win he would take his forces and leave peacefully, leaving me to attempt to take control of all regions to the East and North. If I lost, however, I would either forsake my place within the Duchy and swear loyalty to the bastard or leave with only my forces and enough supplies to make it back. I agreed, and the battle began. It went poorly quickly for me, having taken a hit in our first exchange, but I was able to return the favor in the second. It was the third, however, that decided the fate of the battle. The weapon that Brainstorm used was a saw blade of some kind, and when he hit me the final time it did its job and nearly bisected me, just barely avoiding cutting my spine in two. I had lost. But, I refuse to truly forsake my home and instead I choose a third option, I would ask you allow me to inform you of this 'New America' and its forces, movements, and any and all information I can find. And in doing so? I hope to claim it in the name of you and the return of the Karmine Empire. I ask only that you entrust me with this my Duchess but I know you may not wish to. If you believe I have failed you to far to much to allow me to continue to serve, I ask only that you give my love to the Lady Catherine. I will not fight, simply accept your decision.

Forever Loyal,
Ser Edmund Wright

X-Raiders
Turn 4 Processing

Twist Twist

The turning of the slaves was a grizzly and slow process. To be exposed to large, frequent doses of radiation was not exactly ideal for the normal organic body. Skin withered and tore, teeth and nails fell out... For the very unfortunate few, their flesh bubbled and fell from the bone leaving them to die choking on their own blood.. This was the fate for five of the slaves, their bodies thrown to rest with the others to await 'processing'. Three of the 15 showed no real changes outside of what would be expected to exposure to radiation while another three were showing minor changes, would they turn into proper X-Raiders with time or would they join the meat pile? It was always so hard to tell, making radioactive mutants always felt more like an art than an exact science. But there was some success. Four of the slaves gave Rohgen what he wanted. Their skin turned translucent, their bones began to glow with an eerie green light and the terror in their eyes was slowly replaced by a psychotic frenzy, perhaps a symptom of the deterioration of brain tissue from all the radiation.. While they became 'Rattlers', the most basic of the gang. While four transformed, Rohgen did not see or discover any truly unique mutations or changes in this batch. Perhaps a larger test sample was needed or perhaps something extra could be done to help in the process?

Recap:
5 Died
3 No Change
3 Small Changes
4 Transformed into Rattlers

But there was always more smooth skinned humans around to gather for their purposes, the only question was what would make a good target? It could be difficult to find them especially in this region which was home to many hills.. It seemed many of the rebels camped under ground, in the various mines, so would not be an ideal target for mortars while caravans were very infrequent due to the ongoing conflict so it was hard to truly map out where and when to expect them..

They could attempt to raid Tolius, itself, the large town or the only other target they found. A large trade camp of some sort that seemed oddly undefended for the amount of tents there. Perhaps victory in their battle had dulled their senses?

Turn 4 Processing

CaptainSully CaptainSully

Minger was... a wretched place, even by the standards of the Wasteland. Fog so dense that he could only see a few feet ahead of him, and many times, he thought he saw camp fires in the distance, small specks of flames that no matter how fast they moved, they could not close in on.. Outside of the immense fog, Minger had only two real terrain features that they had discovered: large rocky hills and massive hunks of metal. The metal tended to be massive sheets of some kind of dark metal, sometimes several stories high, driven into the ground at odd angles. None of it seemed corroded or worn, which was peculiar as Dave had quickly discovered another of Minger's more charming traits, the frequent acid rain storms. To search this place for anything besides the exit was an.. interesting call especially for a group that consisted of a man and a large gorillo. Besides the run in with the roaches.. and the acid rain.. and the massive metal sheets that look like they were one bad day from falling and crushing him flat and the creepy fog, really wasn't all that bad of a place...

Steve noticed it before the small human with him did, the large gorillo stopping to sniff the air, tasting an unfamiliar scent on the wind. It took a bit longer for Dave to notice anything was wrong, much less, that Steve seemed to be on to something. No, it wasn't until dark figures drew so close that Dave could make out their forms in the mist did he really start to take note. One.. two... twelve... thirty... a hundred... As the figures drew closer and closer, seemingly unphased by any words or sounds, the first of them emerged from the fog. They were thin creatures with odd shaped bodies. No waist to speak of, perhaps about as wide as Dave's fist.. Their chest were a bit broader, and their limbs were small, malnutrition things. They appeared to come up only to his chest, but their heads were very long and narrow, impossibly so. Their bright yellow eyes fixed open Dave and in their hands were crude weapons, mostly clubs and large metal sticks. As one their eyes fell open Dave and their thin mouths opened to reveal a dark cavern of needle like teeth as hundreds of voices screeched in unison and charged.

The Fogmen were here.

Nomer Coast

The new region was nothing like the old, sure it was still that bland wasteland brown, but at least it wasn't covered in fog nor did it have the massive, ominous, metal sheets driven into the ground as if by some unseen god. Far in the distance, a tree line could be made out and the region was rife with the smell of salt as if a coast line was waiting for them just beyond the horizon. Herds of odd goat like creatures wandered aimlessly, gnawing on what small patches of grass appeared and it almost seemed... peaceful.

It wasn't all so lovely as, one morning, Dave spotted a trio of massive crab like monsters sprint across the ground, moving sideways, at a breakneck pace and run a heard of goats down, ripping and tearing them to bits with their pinches before shoveling raw meat into their maws. The sheer speed of the crabs was worrisome, how could any creature move so fast was mind-boggling, even a vehicle was unlikely to outrun those creatures and their shells looked incredibly thick.. Best to avoid them if at all cost.

Fogmen Head Necklace

Making a rope out of some grass, Dave managed to.. dig through their strangle soft skulls with his new sword and rope the string through each head to make a necklace. It was rather gruesome work, and very revolting, but it worked. A Fogmen Head Necklace large enough to fit over Steve's shoulders was created. The heads would begin to rot soon though, so the smell would be questionable unless Dave found some sort of preserving concoction.

Searching for Something

A few things were discovered.. The question was which do they go to?

Decision Point:
  • Silhouette of a town with a very large wall
  • Sea-side cavern
  • Shipwreck
  • Corpse of a massive crab

The Last Amazonians

Heyitsjiwon Heyitsjiwon

The radio call had went out and while Theo was not there to see his handiwork, it was a success. At first, only small scouting parties followed the radio's lure to the vault, believing it to be a trap of some kind but soon more and more followed suit, hoping to loot the ancient vault. The fact nearly no one returned from these trips did not see to daunt as many as would assume as the Waste were a dangerous place and missing vault hunters was exceedingly common. Theo gets the strangest feeling that 'Buddy' is pleased with this, not quite enough to reward him yet, but at the rate it is going, it is likely the vault will become even more well-known and more people will be 'taken' by it and when that happens, Theo will likely receive something.. interesting. So long as he doesn't think about the line of people that are entering that vault, never to come out again.

Rumors about the Vault of The Rock spreads to all populated provinces [The Flat, Amire, Crag, Tolius and Jarro]

The journey to Vicksburg was rather tame and mercifully uneventful. There were a lot of rumors and murmuring in Vicksburg, about how it was the capital of 'New America' and that the province of Amire had recently been brought into the fold which included a flood of ammunition into the markets which was driving up commerce as the ammo was purchased by explorers or shipped out back west, if anything, the town seemed larger then the last time Theo was here as if a sudden period of growth and prosperity was starting to hit.

Information on 'Buddy' varied wildly with most assuming Theo was talking about the old, strange cowboy cartoon that starred 'Buddy' the spunky deputy with a heart of gold while a few others assumed he must have been talking about 'Bud' the strange dog that liked to play basketball that was still on some vids.. When the few that managed to look past the strange moniker attached to it, Theo was met with only confused looks as they either told him ghost weren't real and he was likely suffering from Wasteland Madness or that ghost were totally real and he should get some salt to ward them off as well as asking where he found these ghost so they could commune with them... None of this information seemed particularly helpful. It was extremely doubtful the average person or tradesmen would have any idea as to what 'Buddy' could be.

The attempt to uncover what the unknown metal was did not meet with a lot of success. Theo managed to learn a few things, such as the metal was not magnetic, seemed to be immune to rust or corrosion and did not seem to respond to being heated up to temperatures that would have turned steel into molten slag. It certainly was an unusual metal..

His search for someone to open the electronically locked chest when remarkably better, meeting three different 'locksmiths' that offered to open it... One was a young woman in a very lovely, and advanced, store who seemed to be the foremost expert. She guaranteed success, or his money back, however she demanded 5 SU to open it.

Another was an older man working out of a small corner shop who offered to do it for 3 SU, when asked about his skills, he simply shrugged and said 'take it or leave it'.

The last was a youth that bumped into Theo on the street while he was looking and said he would do it for nothing 0 SU but would take a portion of what was in it in return.. whatever it was.

As for shopping.. Vicksburg was a large town, the largest known in the waste, and currently in the middle of a boom, so there was likely quite a lot of goods to be found... [Shopping to be handled in Discord]

Process Continued

The return trip to the Rock went smoothly, well, there was a moment when the Amazons nearly ran straight into the middle of a raider ambush, but luckily they didn't understand what 'radio discipline' was and Christina picked up their messages and so they were easily avoided at the last moment.

Buddy, as promised, returned the taken. The taken amazonians had no memory of what happened, in fact, they were shocked when they found out how long it had been. For them, it had been but a moment, a blink. One of them came out holding a strange floating obelisk perhaps a foot high. They have no idea what it does, but it was almost certainly the reward from Buddy for attracting new folk to its lair.

Multiple jobs came in, but most were dismissed out of hand as not being worth their time, obviously a raider trap or just some wacko living in a shack somewhere sprouting off nonsense that came from Wasteland Madness.. But there were a series coming out of Jarro that were of interest. Two jobs. Related. Or, well, opposites. One job was from the rancher family 'Caps' who alleged that the heir of the Mangoes have stolen their beloved Jules and were keeping her hostage to try and force them to cede their family holdings while the other job was from the Mangoes who alleged their heir, Remus, had better things to do then waste his time on such a thing and that the Mangoes had they needed at home. The Caps want someone to return their beloved Jules while the Mangoes want security to protect their 'rightful holdings' from Cap thugs... Perhaps something can be done? Potentially kill two grox with one rocket launcher?

A woman in Vicksburg is claiming that her husband has gotten deep into debt with a local gang and they have taken hostages. She is begging for anyone to help them and while she doesn't have much SU, she knows the gang has some stashes that she could point them to when it was done.... This job must be handled quickly as the woman, in her desperation, had broadcasted this plea on open radio so it is very doubtful the gang is not aware of their whistleblower.

Anaya
Turn 4

Eliasdagood Eliasdagood

The trip to Roggar was very quick, the tribe picking familiar paths as they returned to the 'cursed' domain.. While traveling, Anaya noticed something. A shift in the air, through the haze she spotted a massive building of stone that stood into the sky. It beckoned her to come to it, to step through the haze and explore the wonders of the beyond, but Ezrin needed her aid. The Tithe were coming and if they won, they would cut a bloody swath, enslaving all that remained, and she had to help stop it... She turned her back on the haze and knew, in that instant, that she would never, ever, see that haze or the massive stone castle again. But sometimes, sacrifice had to be made for the great good of all.

There was some worry, and fear, if they would make it in time. Would they crest that final hill and merely see the ruined town ablaze and the Tithe overrunning it? Would they arrive right as the walls were breached? Would they be left out here, exposed, to be surrounded and swallowed by the screaming mass of slave soldiers? As they trudged over the hills, they had their answer. The fort still stood. The Tithe had not yet arrived... A sigh or relief slipped out a few of the younger members of the tribe. They'd have time to help Ezrin with his final preparations and even make some of their own. When the Tithe came, they could stand on the walls, using them for protection and help repulse them. Perhaps the spirits were on their side after all?

Ask spirits of her clan for answers

Anaya tries to commune with the dead, but they do not answer.. She is left only with the cold void that the emptiness leaves. It is.. unnerving. Is something in Roggar blocking her? Or perhaps it is the presence of the Tithe, looming in the distance, that even the spirits of her clan do not wish to come near? Perhaps speaking to Ezrin about this could reveal more insight...

Assist Ezrin and the others in the battle of Roggar

On his turn, Ezrin is able to use Anaya and her tribe as support for any actions he makes, in addition, because you arrived in time, before the battle begins, you will be given the option to add some defenses or other traps or plans you have.

Hermit Order
Turn 4
Kent Kent

The meeting with the Red Queen goes.. strangely. She seems bemused by Rhea's suggestion, and loudly wonders why Rhea was so interested in sending Enrico, captain of her personal guard, so enthusiastically instead of one of the actual commanders and why Rhea, someone who has always been so brash and loving direct confrontation, would prefer to hunt down rebels in mines and lure them out rather then get stuck in in what, from what Rhea has fought so hard to prove, sounded like such a pivotal battle as certainly Rhea leaving would prove just as enticing a target as Enrico, or, for that matter, one of the actual battlefield commanders rather then just her guard captain whose primary duty lies in finding traitors and protecting the royal family.. For a moment, there is a fear that she will be sending nothing at all, but she does agree to send Enrico if, for nothing else, to see who would like to be the one to try and take a shot at the Queen, but there was a catch.

She'd only allow this if, and only if, Prince Rieger was the one who led the bait on the rebels, not Rhea. Which meant not only would the glory and majority of the loot go to Rieger, but operational control would be removed from Rhea. When asked why, the Queen gives an indifferent shrug and says, 'Favors for favors, is that not what people do? The whelp of a child needs to start earning his keep.' Agreeing to this would put Rhea's [and so Adam's] known units, influence and wealth directly under the Prince's command...

Does Rhea [and so Adam] agree? But then again, when a favor is asked for by a Queen, is it even really a request?

Decision Point
1. Abide by the Queen's 'request', Enrico will be sent to help, Rhea, and Adam's known units and influence, will be placed under, and used by, the Prince.
2. Reject the request.
3. Attempt to negotiate and alter the deal.
4. Your idea.

Process Continued
Decision Point

Rhea, currently working under the Prince as requested, has a decision in front of her... The rebels will be doing their final gambit soon, so the question was.. did she want to do what she can to prevent/cripple it or turn a blind eye to them, letting them complete their plan to attempt to kill the Red Queen while she furthered Adam's attempt at weakening the palace?

1. Assault on Mine Shaft 31 - Lead an assault on the place where Adam has gotten intel the slaves 'final gambit' is being smuggled in, in an attempt to stop their plans in its track.

2. Blood Duel - Adam has gotten intel on the location of Markus, the leader of the rebellion, send in Rhea with a small strike team to cut the head off the snake?

3. Do nothing. Direct Rhea to aid in Adam's plan to weaken and undermine the defenses of the castle for the Rebels final, last ditch assault and boost their plan to kill the Red Queen, usurp her and rob the vault.

CHOSEN 4. Rhea will lead small combat actions on the edges of the battlefields, taking safe battles and giving the loot to the soldiers under her charge to win their loyalty and woo them to the Hermit Order. Gain 4 Gladiators and 10 Shadow Squadron
Officials and officers were bribed. When the time came, no one would stop the forces as they moved on the palace, and more importantly, Adam had secured one of the secret escape tunnels, changing its access codes and could now use it to allow the X-Raiders to flood into the palace undetected.. However, the Hermit Order had to give out a lot of promises and favors, the Red Prince was expecting a lot of support in maintaining control over his new kingdom after they removed his mother and younger sister from the equation...

There wasn't much to find on the Red Queen, she was the Queen. A warrior that was said to be without peer, in her Steel Legion Power Armor she had crushed those who defied her beneath her composite boots. She used great two handed power sword called 'Breaker' and had an inbuilt grenade machine gun on her gauntlet... She was a force onto herself. The palace would like have 20 Queen's Guard, loyal to her till the end along with a handful of Red Guard squads that could not be turned, but far less then expected as many had been bribed to 'take the day off' or would be met with back alley accidents hours before the assault began... The dominoes were lined up, all that was left was to knock them over and see where they fell..
Explosive Placement
Dynamite
1. Dynamite can be used to destroy all other known escape tunnels when the assault begins to ensure no one escapes this raid that Adam does not wish.

2. Dynamite can be used to blow and collapse the main gate ensuring that even an early return of Enrico would be hampered.

3. Dynamite could be used to destroy many of the slave pens unleashing a massive slave revolt.. This would, potentially, allow your beggars and slaves to bug out before the battle begins.

IEDs
IEDs can be planted in key buildings and intersections to be detonated when the assault begins. This will massively disrupt the Red Queen's forces in the city making them all but unable to respond effectively to any threats.. without or within.

Slave Rebel Contact

Your last agent in the rebels, who has survived, contacts Adam... at least, that is what Adam assumes but the voice on the radio is not hers. But a woman called Da-Eun. Adam recalls the name, it is the slave woman who is the prince's secret lover.

"Adam, was it? You've proven to be quite the thorn in my side. I'm impressed. My masters and I have put so much effort into this little town and you've gone an upended it all.

Oh, don't worry about your agent, he's fine and will be returned unharmed momentarily. Don't be too harsh on him, no one can keep information from me, but you were much harder to track then most. I'm not going to hurt you, although I very much want to, that ship has sailed, as they used to say. I know what you're doing, and I want in. There is something in that vault that I require, a tribute to be paid for the failure that was Tolius. Help me, and I can help you. But let us talk in person, shall we? It is so much more fun when we feel each other's breath on our skin.

I eagerly await your message for our meeting. Don't disappoint me, Adam."

New America
Turn 4
Trektek Trektek

New America had greatly expanded as another region, and two settlements, had 'joined'. While Brainstorm had no way to confirm, the president was certainly very happy with the development. The people of Amire were discontent, to say the least. They had supported Edmund and had joined the Duchy, only to have that all forcibly ripped away from them, their champion laid low.. Forced, once more, into bondage and this time they hadn't the strength to resist having spent it throwing of the yolk of the previous oppressors. Still, not one to rest on his laurels, Galileo was built to hack that mysterious briefcase and hack it he did. It was clearly some sort of Chinese spy briefcase, full of coded messages that Brainstorm wasn't quite able to hack, but he knew coordinates when he looked at them. They pointed to The Pillars and seemed to have been the headquarters, or perhaps rally point encase of nuclear Armageddon, for all Chinese agents in this area before the bombs fell. What could be waiting for him there? What threat could the foes of Old America have brewing for New America? Could Brainstorm afford to let such possible riches, or a possible threat, go unnoticed and unanswered? Not everything went so smooth as while the Handiman was used, it was not able to be repaired. Galileo did his best, but wasn't able to get it working with the parts he had [Low roll]. He can still repair it, but sadly, this means he will need new parts. Repairing it will consume an advanced component.

The construction of a new fort to protect the ammunition factory also did not go as well as Brainstorm expected. Nothing seemed to go right, or perhaps the locals were somehow sabotaging it? Either way, it was vexing. Nothing was going as smoothly as it had in The Flats, but this wouldn't stop New America. Destiny had to be Manifested! [Construction Fail, can still be completed but will have to pay resource cost. 3 Scrap if you want a Fort. 2 Components and a 1 Scrap for a Communications Tower. It'll have a range of '1'.]

Brainstorm did catch wind of a celebration being planned in Amire.. that could certainly be worth looking into and investing in! After all, what was more American then investing in a promising venture and taking a fair share of the credit? The nation was built on propaganda, on heroes like Rosie the Riveter!

Turn 4 Processing
The Duchess's Legion
Dest Dest

A letter had come with the caravan of supplies and reinforcements from the Duchy, no, not a letter. The letter. The one Edmund had waited for. Perhaps dreaded? The answer from the Duchess for what happened. The Four Golden Guard delivered the letter. The second Edmund held it in his hands, he could small the faint perfume that wafted from the delicate papers, the seal of the Duchess stamped on it for all to see.

The Golden Guard did not leave after delivery, instead taking up a spot in the four corners of the room, awaiting something..

Lieutenant Edmund, I believe that is what your new rank is? I have contemplated what to do about your situation. Once, you chose me, to represent my interest in the waste, and I admit, I was flattered. I know you had your reasons for doing still, but it has been sometime since a young buck offered to champion my cause. I should have you executed, but as you once put your faith in me, so I shall now. You have four months, Lieutenant. Four months to throw of the yolk and return what was stolen. I have faith that you will succeed.

I will advise you be careful with your words. You have not won the honor of trying to court my daughter, although your boldness does amuse me. If you succeed in your mission, perhaps we can revisit this discussion.

Awaiting the Return of My Knight Commander,
Duchess Karmine

As Edmund lowered the letter, the Golden Guard bowed their heads as one, deactivated their power glaives and left the tent... If that letter had said something else, they almost certainly would have went from bodyguards to executioners.

.. More letters arrived, from the three heirs...

First to be opened was a red envelope with a purple string tied around it. Unlike the Duchess's letter, it was not perfumed. The handwriting was crisp and efficient where the Duchess's had been refined and sweeping..

Knight Commander, I hear rumors of you facing a bit of a dilemma in the Waste? Some upstart robot who styles himself a general? How silly. I expect you'll have the situation underhand soon. I thank you for the timely arrival of the resources, it has been a great help in securing our future in this realm. As a token of my appreciation, I have sent a small gift along with the reinforcemetns, please, do not feel the need to thank me, are we not countrymen? Do we not bleed for our beloved Duchy, well, in our own way?

I must now call upon you once more, I have need of something. Something precious. In Yilo there is a camp [coordinates here], a camp that contains something very important to me. I need you to recover it and send it home. I am sure you are quickly finding out that I am a great ally to have, so, Commander, I hope our relationship can continue.

Your Ally,
Xavier Karmine

Second to be red was a green envelope also wrapped in purple string.. Just like Prince Xavier's, this letter was not perfumed. The writing was bold, large sweeping letters with thick ink as if the pen had been pressed too tightly against the paper.

Knight Commander, I am disappointed. You were sent because you had promise, and yet you have stumbled so hard at the start. It is said that adversity breeds greatness, but I am starting to think it breeds mediocrity. Not only did you fail my mother, our Duchess, but you failed me and I did not think my demand was so unreasonable. To gain a militia and then lose them the same day, some would call that a remarkable feat, a remarkably bad feat. Personally? I consider it a pathetic showing of a Knight of Karmine. Included is a small gift, something that will perhaps improve your performance. [Included with the letter is a book titled 'Military Tactics and Maneuver - For Dummies']. It should be around your level of expertise. But if my mother can grant you a second chance, how could I do anything less? Prove to me that you have read the book, win a battle worthy of remembrance and you'll have earned my pardon.

Don't disappoint me again.

Tabitha Karmine

The last of the letters was pure silver, the paper seemingly interwoven with thin streams of silver. A purple string tied it closed.. The handwriting was small, clean and impeccably neat. It was as beautiful and flowing as the paper it was written on and the scent of lavender filled Edmund's tent.

Sir Wright, I am pleased to hear you are alive. We feared the worst. I know you haven't had the best of time in the Waste, I can scarcely imagine the horrors you've had to deal with and I have no right to ask this of you, me, who is safe behind these walls, but I pray that you endure your trials and bring your soldiers home to their families when your duty is done. The region may have fallen to New America, but you tried to do what I asked and I am eternally grateful. People think this world has to be cold and bloody, and they must be bloodier still to survive, but that is not my belief. I think it is easier and people have grown accustomed to it, but it isn't the right way to do things. No matter what happens, you showed the people of Tow-Lan that chivalry, honor and kindness are not gone. I just wished Heroes Rest had gone so smoothly, but I understand that some tyrants have to be brought low if the people are to prosper. You could not do all that I asked, but I know you tried, so I will send a small token of my appreciation. I hate to ask, for I know you are busy and pushed to your limits by the demands of my family, but if you can, I've heard that slavery is rampant in the waste. If you can free some of them and send them back to the Duchy, I can arrange some safe work for them so they can start a new life here. Change begins small and with a single step, but I know we can do it.
Sincerely,
Catherine Karmine

Squire Advancement
All 9 of Edmund's squires have more then proven their valor. They may now become Knights. These Knightly Orders have shown interest:

Knights of the Red Dawn
The Knights of the Red Dawn are the sworn enemy of the Tithe and all Raiders. They hate raiders, and slavers, with an extreme passion swearing to drown the land in blood until the sun, itself, is stained. They will not abide with the presence of raiders nor will they allow anyone to treat with their kin, the only answer they deserve is a blade to the neck. They gain Hatred against all slavers and raiders.

Knights of the Oath
These knights take a sacred, personal, oath when they are knighted. This oath is known only to them, but they vow to not rest until their oath is fulfilled. They have gotten in trouble, many a time, in the past for abandoning their post to fulfil said oath, but these knights are Fearless.

Knight Celestial
Long ago, the first of their order, Magnus, believed he saw an angel descend from the heaven and dip her hand into a pond, purifying the rancid radioactive waters... Since then, the Knight Celestials have carried around a vial of that sacred water and try to uphold the highest level of piety and honor to, someday, see her again. It may seem silly and superstitious to some, however that vial of water grants them resistance against Radiation and can even be poured on the 'unholy' to cause.. interesting results.

Knights of the Ardent Sky
These knights are a very rare brotherhood and are said to 'travel on wings of fire'. They are equipped with jet packs that resemble massive angelic wings and can do short 'flights' [more akin to massive jumps] with these wings and come crashing down on their foes. The Knights of the Ardent Sky have a love of melee weapons, especially the 'Skyhammer'. [NOTE: If you pick Ardent Sky, you will lose 9 squires but only gain 5 Knights of the Ardent Sky]

Actions:
Action 1: Perform a ceremony for the dead from Hero's Rest and Tow-Lan
Action 2: Have Emi begin training remaining squires

A lavish ceremony is thrown for the dead, 5 SU was spent [3 from Edmund, 2 from Brainstorm]. Generators rumbled in the back ground as a temporary fairgrounds was constructed, Christmas lights hanging from various post making, lightning it all up and bringing wonder to many children who compare it to seeing the stars in the night.. Food and drinks were given out for free, not 'horrible' food that everyone had grown accustomed to, but actual food. Fresh grox steaks freshly imported from Jarro, bread and vegetables from Vicksburg as well as some, decently, preserved sweets and deserts. Additional supplies were given out and there was even a raffle held for more unique and valuable goods that the people eagerly joined in on. Speeches were held under the glow of fireworks, the robotics forces of Brainstorm, having little interest in the actual festivities, patrolled the perimeter to ensure nothing got attracted by the noise and fireworks. Minor skirmishes against wildlife occurred but after a Widow turned a molerat inside out, animals mysteriously learned to stay away.

The influx of immigrants quickly see the settlements as rather lovely and are happy to have moved. The constant 'Brought to you by New America!' 'Funded by New America!' seems to work with the immigrants, quickly earning their loyalty but only makes the original settlers more bitter... The original settlers still see Edmund as their 'hero' despite what happened with the flesh abominations. This divide in the settlements is not good, with time, the immigrants will outnumber the settlers and they will become an angry, and very vocal, minority... but there is a chance violence could spread. Only time will tell.

Emi, trying to pay back Edmund who saved her life and reunited her with her husband, gets to work training the 'new blood'. The squires don't absorb as much as they could, but the Levies learn much. Your Levies become Serjeants

The Unknown
“When you walk to the edge of all the light you have and take that first step into the darkness of the unknown, you must believe that one of two things will happen. There will be something solid for you to stand upon or you will be taught to fly.”
― Patrick Overton

3 - Dark Mountains deep cave fallout landscape..png

The adventure with the fellow humans was exhilarating to say the least. Earthlings and their machines. Even in his wildest dreams, Camael could not have envisioned such madness. But, this was not his world or of his people. Nor was it of his creators. Accepting that he may likely never understand this world fully was a hard pill to swallow. But, he did. But, Samantha's clues on the cave system high on the mountains gave Camael some hope. It also may be a valuable location to produce the necessary facilities to leave the planet. Away from the idiotic Earthlings.

The climb was difficult, so it gave more credence to his thoughts. But, there was a dreadful feeling in his lungs. What would this cave system hold? He sighed, rummaged through his mind on what to expect as per his training. He looked through the mountains, wondering if any geological clues could be found.

    1. Move up the mountains to the edge of Howl. Explore and scavenge the surrounding area, especially near the cave system up there. [Geology, Chemistry, meticulous.]
    2. Investigate the cave system at the edge of Howl far up the mountains: [From Samantha: "And lastly, near the edge of Howl, far up in the mountains, you have another but I've never been in but I think it used to be a mine? Hear weird stories about it, so I just avoid it."]
    3. No movement this turn.

The Fellow Humans had certainly been a bracing experience, but they had gotten information and were able to explore and rest with no real incident. It was hard to imagine actual Earthlings meeting those robots and having such an easy time.. But that certainly wasn't their problem! If anything, they could even circle back and use the Fellow Humans as a trading outpost or a place to resupply, and they were likely safe..ish within their tunnels as it was hard to imagine anything would want to venture into those tunnels willingly.

The trip up, and deeper, into the mountains of Howl goes remarkably easy thanks to the Rangers. Their ability to pick out the correct and safest paths was uncanny to the point where it was a wonder if the Fellow Humans had actually replaced them with small skeletal teddy bear machines wearing their furs! Not only did their speed make searching the mountain much easier, it also let them avoid the creatures.. Such as massive insects that crawled up and down the mountain tops, the grotesque bloated frogs that dragged themselves across the rocks leaving behind a toxic gas and sludge behind them, the swarms of tiny black wasps that seemed to drown out the sun as they feasted on the flesh of other creatures.. This place was very, very unpleasant..

Especially when Camael started to see the creatures Samantha mentioned. Earthlings, well, they assume, covered head to toe in red cloth, hobbling and wandering around as they whispered 'Ravenak'.. The howling white apes that looked like their flesh was peeling from the bone as they screamed their rage to the heavens.. Yes, they'd do well to avoid both of them, and with the pathfinder's skill, that was all too easy.

As they were exploring, the Rangers found a small cave that was nearly invisible to the naked eye, but somehow, the Rangers had spotted it. Carefully exploring it, they found a lost supply cache of the Earthings. It was filled with metal cases and wooden boxes with a white star slapped onto them. They found crate after crate of arms and ammunition, crates of armor and preserved food.. There was also an immense weapon in the back, locked in a clear case that they managed to break open.. the weapon was larger then they were so shooting it may be difficult, but just by looking at it, Camael had a feeling it packed a punch..

Discovered
Three Crates of Rifles
One Crate of Assault Rifles
One Crate of Combat Knives
Two Crates of Pre-War Medium Combat Armor
Four Crates of Well Perserved MREs
Tesla Cannon

The only down side was there was far too much for the six of them to even begin to hope to carry... [You may select 4 items from that list to carry. The MRE's are lighter, so 2 crates of them can be carried for 1 of the others]

[Those left behind are left behind, but as you are in the middle of nowhere, it is extremely unlikely anyone will rob it and so you can likely come back for it later.]

... They thought that was all until, on their way out, Camael noticed a gleam in the wall. Moving towards it, he brushed aside a rock and noticed something glittering. A ruby, wait, there was a sapphire here to and.. Camael has discovered a Gemstone Mine.

Finally they neared the cave high up in the mountains, the one that Samanatha called a mine, the one she had never gone to. Could some of their people be there?.. There was only one way to find out.

Exploring the Mine sahll be done in Discord.

Turn 5

Things were starting to come together. That much, Brainstorm was sure about. Sure, his construction bots might have not truly given their all like they had when they first arrived in the region, but with enough elbow grease and Good ‘Ol American ingenuity with hard earned scrap, the Factory was now properly protected and they could at least keep in contact with their forces from one region away with a newly minted Radio Tower.

So all in all, they were on their way, just not at the speed at which he would have liked. But there is the Old American Proverb of The Tortoise and The Hair, that Slow and Steady Will Win the Race.

He had already accomplished much in his short time in this Wasteland. He gained the largest trading town in the region as the Capital of New America. He was promoted to General by the newly minted President, the former mayor of said large town. He was given an army of skilled women soldiers to bolster his elite fighting force.

And then he was able to expand into Amire, using a bandit incursion as the perfect opportunity to defeat an invading Empire of Knights. Do they believe that it is the Middle Ages? A strange thing to emulate when there is already a perfect thing to emulate…..America!

The capture of Amire and the support of many of the remaining bandits into the fighting force that is New America was only bolstered even more by recruiting the leader of the enemy expedition force into the forces of New America.

Now, some might call that a folly, but he lost an honorable duel and that was one of the outcomes. It is most likely that his previous employers would have killed or had him disgraced for his failure to take and hold the region.

As such, this was the most humane course of action. And the one that would most benefit the cause of New America. Of course even though given a proper military rank, Edmond will be watched until it is proven that he is fully loyal to the cause. Any lapses into his Old Alliances could prove poorly. But part of the maxim of America is SECOND CHANCES. Hence the second chances being given to the bandits that had terrorized Amire previously.

But, now is the time to look forward and ahead. The contents of the Chinese Briefcase were interesting to say the least and would be pursued soon enough. But first, Brainstorm knew he needed to do two things.

Thing One, he needed to focus on improving and building up his army. After all, with what he has heard from an attack out to the East from the Slaver nation, they threw out a veritable horde against an unknown opponent. New America at present could not survive a Horde.

Some Robotic Troops would be needed, at least now that he had the necessary Advanced Components which were difficult to acquire, but would not be difficult to use.

The Battle of Amire actually had given him a good idea for patching up a hole in their forces.

Thing Two was to gather even more towns and settlements into New America. The country must continue to grow so that it can thrive. And it can only thrive by gaining more people into the land that is controlled by New America.

The region of Jarro is a large region and one that is known for having towns in it. Perhaps we could earn their trust and convince them to join New America in a way that is most beneficial. Perhaps even by playing this “game” that they keep talking about. Gathering Jarro could be considered another huge boon for their cause.

—-------------------------------------------

The large rotund man known as Full Otto waddled over to Captain Regina Thornton with a smirk on her face which prompted a look of disgust on hers. As it was, she didn’t like that Brainstorm had taken in a portion of the surviving bandits into their forces.

Would these bandits even truly consider themselves a part of New America like she and the other women were? Or would they wander off at the first chance that they got? She sighed. Their “might” General seemed to be in the habit of second chances. But from her experiences, second chances out in the Wastes would get you dead.

That machine really was from a different time, wasn’t he? Maybe that was part of the reason she was starting to buy into all this New America stuff. After all, at first, she was only here because Mayor Rottenburst, oh sorry, President Rottenburst had assigned them. But now, it seemed that this crazy Robot had some sort of plan and it was working. At least so far.

But she could not stand the “leader” of the bandit forces, this Full Otto as he has dubbed himself. He was an unkempt and ugly man who truly seemed to be in it for his own gain. The only hope she had was that perhaps, like her, he’d end up believing in New America, too.

Full Otto finally arrived next to Regina and opened his mouth to speak. “Hey there Sugar Lips, I hear that you won’t be riding North with us and that our Metallic Overlord has you patrolling Amire.

She scoffed at his remarks, not just the derogatory term that he was using, but also that what she was doing was unimportant.

“You act as though keeping order in a region that still disagrees with New America is unimportant. When we put boots on the ground……”

“...yeah, yeah. I’ve “read” the reports on things. As much as I could stomach of it anyway. Too much paperwork. Bah!” Full Otto stuck his tongue out and pretended to gag. “What I’ve been interested in is that New America has been expanding fast and with it, gathering all those sweet, sweet resources. If I’dda known just how successful they would be, I would’a joined up while i still had most of my boys intact.”

He smiled a grin that could break a mirror if he bothered to look in one. Then he started to walk off towards the Juvies and the Buggies, blowing her a kiss as he did so.

“I’ll bring you back a souvenir, sweetheart!”

“Ugh. Such a Pig, she said to no one in particular.”

A Miss Widow happened by. “Would you like me to dismember him, Captain?”

“No, no. But thank you. I’d rather save that for myself, should the time come….”

Actions:
  1. Construct a Robotic Advanced Light Tank with Twin Barrels that is Hardened as well as 5 Light Advanced Robots with built in lasers.
  2. Send Brainstorm and troops to Jarro and attempt to win them over with Diplomacy

Anaya sighs, laying back on her cot. This has been... a very long day. Her people lost many, but at the end of the day, they won. And maybe they even got something good out of it! After all, Ezrin seems to have no more use for this fort, and her people have wanted a more stable base for a long time. A place for their children and elders to rest in safety. Perhaps even a place to start some real agricultural and technological work! There's only so much one can carry by caravan after all.

Well, to work then.

ACTIONS:
1. Attempt to repair the fortress and specialize it to their uses (A vault for dangerous items and eggs, an agricultural sector, living arrangements to start).

2. Investigate the reason the spirits aren't responding.

Liberation There's a protocol for everything. A calculation, a sense of things. Paperwork bakas will always be telling you what to do. They don't know how to do a damn thing. And I'm tired of letting those dumbass accordians get their way. Let them be pissed. Because devils like these can't be killed, they can only be delivered back to hell. And that is why my kind has the name we do, we deliver the devils back to whence they came. My rules. My game.
--- Camael

Camael gave a soft yawn. Did he just commit to an operation of the upmost risk? 100% Would his superiors chew him out for it? If they knew. But, Camael didn't give a damn. Wasn't going to leave innocent people behind. And those things certainly seemed suspicious. Probably some Earthling experiment gone wrong. Because of course. Earthlings cause so much trouble. Though, there were good ones. Camael observed some. And he pondered on that fact for a while. An epiphany rang in his head. They could be useful. This stash of supplies were certainly not made for them. Could make it work. But, why not let them do it? And Camael considered that the good ones should get off the planet. Be a witness and true reminder of what happened here. And their appearance allowed Camael to keep a low profile. Afterall, the Earthlings have no idea they were here. And Camael had good faith that the Fellow Humans would not be believed. Assuming anyone asking them would survive. Maybe other robotics. But, Earthling robotics stand no match to what Camael was used too. Of course, there was little of that on the planet. The hub could have scematics and other things needed for that purpose. Just in case. Afterall, while most posts don't have the full barrage that he knew. Somewhere did in case something broke out and some... mental remodeling was in order. The hub will tell for that. But, that was some time away. One Camael can get to at his leisure. What mattered now was to find any survivors of the post that escaped, if any. And find any Earthlings clean from this hell. And those who stayed clean since.

Other accord members... that was possible too. Afterall, everyone want to observe. Have their own data. Standard bickering without the Earthling insanity. So, there could be them as well. Camael will just have to find out. But, after a breather, and some light medical tending.

    1. Search the mountains of Howl for any signs of previous occupants of the observation post. Not everyone would have been soldiers. Some may have simply left when things got bad. And while their at it, the Earthlings could be useful. While the fellow humans likely stopped most migrants coming here, there were likely some that slipped by. Rumors of cryosleep amongst the Earthlings could mean Earthlings prime to rescue and recruit to the cause. Camael has a distrust of them. But, his views of the common Earthling of today as compared to before the bombs are too different notions. [Pathfinder, geology] [Possibly: Machining & Computers to help identify locations from their materials.] [Against the Odds]
    2. Samantha spoke of other tunnel systems. Camael doubts its an exhaustive list. Search for other systems and if none are found, explore one of ones she mentioned. While he expects no more of his own kind (though the possibility could be there), other galactic members could be around as well. Easier to cover tracks if posts could alert others. And as precautions, the logs of other races wouldn't be kept than in the operations center. Which Camael will go visit at some point. But, there were many Earthlings there. Best to build a force to drive them off if they get ideas first. [Pathfinder, geology]
    3. Movement: None
