IMMINENT DEMISE
IN A NUTSHELL: During a mysterious homicide-inducing outbreak, a military unit manages to clear a small affected town. They convert the local high school into a temporary safe-zone for the surviving civilians, expecting to be extracted within a few days. However, things don't go as swimmingly as they planned, and communication is eventually lost with the rest of the army. Due to the lack of long-term provisions, food is soon running extremely low. To make matters worse, the plague resurfaces when the ravenous infected begin trickling in from the uncleared countryside.
The soldiers plan on taking the remaining food for themselves, as there simply isn't enough left to go around. Reluctantly, they also decide on mercy killing the civilians, if only so they don't have to succumb to the infected hordes.
The players are survivors who somehow managed to get wind of this plan, and must find a way to escape the confinement of the high school before they meet their doom.
